100 is kind of a lot for "quantity of Koroks who tried to go camping but coincidentally all got too tired to move", so here's my personal headcanon:

There is one (1) Korok who actually tried to join his friends in camping and see post-Upheaval Hyrule, but got too tired to move and needed to be rescued by Mr. Hero.

And as soon as you rescued him, he told everyone in Korok Forest about how the cool, brave, awesome Mr. Hero personally hand-carried him to his friend.

So now every time a set of camping Koroks spots Mr. Hero in the distance, they get really excited and rock-paper-scissors over who gets to race ahead and flop in front of the hero like a puppy who doesn't want to leave the dog park, claiming they can't move and need to be carried.

So, my sister is complaining about how tricky it is to buy me gifts (my family all got me Zelda themed gifts this year because I don't talk about other stuff I like enough, I guess, lol)

Anyways, my sister swears, frequently, and I do not (it tastes funny and my fingers do not like it) so she's over here dropping a few f-bombs and I'm just nodding along because we both respect that the other doesn't talk that way.

Anyways, she made a comment about me needing to find a new interest so she can find me gifts next year "because I can't just buy you more ####ing koroks"

to which I responded "don't say that word in relation to them, they're babies! it sounds weird!" mostly joking with her

her response? "koroks are ####ing cute", absolute deadpan

at hearing this, I gesture to our coffee table where three clay koroks currently sit (they're one of my presents) and say "they can hear you, you know" only to immediately pause as the thought of koroks being like small children and repeating words that they hear just randomly pops into my head

This, naturally, has me gigging uncontrollably as I meet her eyes across the room and snort out "what if! what if- instead of calling out 'yahaha' when they appear-!" and then I trailed off, choking on laughter, but she caught my drift and promptly screamed-

"####, you found me!"

[comic of a Tears of the Kingdom korok quest. Link holds up a backpacker korok with ultrahand, squinting at the distance. He says, "That's your friend, at the bottom of the hill?" Down a long slope of a slot canyon, a smoke signal is visible. The korok says, "Yep! I can't wait to catch up!" Link flings him down the hill while he says "I need to reach my friend!" Link glides down above the korok as he bounces down the hill. An explosion goes off next to Link and as the korok rolls to a stop he lands, looking up and yelling, "Who's throwing bombs?!" Link looks back as another square bomb lands right next to the korok. Link stares at it, blank-faced, thinking "is that bad", and then "can he die" The bomb glows, about to go off, and Link scrambles to engage ultrahand and whips the korok away just as the bomb goes off. The korok says "help!" and then "kaboom!!" finally, there is a sketch of the korok and his friend at their tent, link relaxing next to them, exhausted]

Tomorrow, January 13th, my AU will be 1 year old 😅The first time I posted was on Instagram and DeviantArt, I posted here a few months later! I swear I didn't think it would last this long! I've done several in the past (Gorillaz, Villanous, Sonic, Mario), but as always I ended up leaving them aside and abandoning them. But this one miraculously stayed up! So, thank you to the few people who also like it! That makes me happy! Oh, once again thanks to the writer @dubiiousfood , one of whose stories was the inspiration for me to start all this!
