It hadn't been very long since you were left there. You could tell because almost nothing in your body healed yet. Most of, if not all of your bones had been broken, fractured or missing and you could barely feel any of your limbs.

The only thing you could feel was your hands. Often times, on your missions you needed to fight or use your hands, and so you made it a habit to heal your hands before the rest of your body. Of course, this was before you were kidnapped.

They weren't totally healed: you still had a few fingernails missing, your left pinky was crooked, and your palms didn't have any skin. But compared to the rest of your body, they were the most intact.

You tried to move your legs but they were shredded. In fact, only your right leg was there, as the other had been ripped off. What was left of the right leg was just a hunk of meat: Nolan had ripped out your femur since you decided to run away. They were slowly growing back, you could feel them there, but it was a slow proccess.

As soon as you could feel some sensation in your neck, you turned your head, looking around to see if there was anything you had missed in the basement. There was the chair, a few empty boxes, and a mirror.

There wasn't a mirror there before. You struggled to get onto your forearms, ignoring the crunching noises of your bones as you dragged yourself to the wall. When you tried to push yourself up, you fell back down, as you remembered your spine didn't completly heal.

You waited a few moments, and focused all of your energy on your back. You counted the beat to your favorite songs, one of the best ways for you to heal quicker as you found. You kept counting, kept switching songs, but... nothing was working. Sure, you were able to flail your arms around a bit, along with moving... what's left of your leg, but it wasn't going back to the way it used to be. It was completly severed, you felt, but where you would feel ligaments and muscles and bones morph and fuse back together, there was nothing.

After a few minutes, you stop trying. Pain meant nothing to you at this point: you've been torn apart and put back together again more times than you could count, but it felt... weird. Like you were a piece of paper slowly drifting down, swaying side to side until you finally met the ground.

As everything went dark, you stopped thinking about Nolan, about Mark, and even Debbie. It didn't matter now. You were going to be free.

Before bed, Nolan had Mark go with him to see his "ill behaved sibling," as he put it. The basement was more dingy and dark than he remembered it to be. Besides the smell of iron and blood, there wasn't the usual groan or crunch or curse from you. In fact, when Nolan got completely downstairs, he basically flew over to you.

"Get up."

Mark stood at the bottom of the stairs, staring down at your dismembered body. Unlike other times that Nolan had punished you, you weren't fully healed or even partially. Almost every single wound that you had hours earlier in the day were still there, and it looked like you had dragged yourself around the room from all the blood on the floor.

When you didnt move, Nolan kicked you, hard. Mark was expecting you to say something, do something, maybe at least try to fight back, but you didn't. You just sat there, bleeding all over the place. It made him think something was wrong

At this point, Nolan was obviously pissed. He picked you up by your neck, and held you above him, dangling your body in front of him.

"Dad, I think-"

"Let me handle this, Mark."

"You think you can just pretend to be dead so you can get out of being punished? You were the one who ran away, not me."

He tossed you across the room, letting you hit the wall and slide down unceremoniously. He then floated all the way back up the stairs, before looking back to Mark.

"Good luck trying to get them up."

And with that, he left. Mark stood there for a moment, before he rushed over to you.

"_____, I'm so sorry, I didn't think he would be that mad, I-"

When you didnt look at him, he stopped. He shook you, trying to get your attention, but your eyes were glassy. Empty.

"_____?"

You didnt awnser. Mark kept asking you, shaking you, moving you, but you weren't responding. Not even with a kick or a shout or anything.

It was when he couldn't feel your heartbeat when he started to panic.

"I know you're- you're upset, but cmon, it's just me!" He pleaded, shaking your body again and again. "Dads not here, he's upstairs, somewhere, it's just me!"

You didn't react. You just sat there, pressed up against the wall, looking like a ghost. Mark sat next to you, holding the remains of your hand.

"I'll sit with you, OK? Until you feel better. Don't worry, I don't mind. It's not like I'm doing anything."

He laughed to himself, before he squeezed your hand.

"Please heal soon. I miss you."

You have complete creative control over how Mickey’s storyline is handled (in a world where Noel doesn’t leave maybe?) What kind of storylines does he have and how does his relationship with Ian process? Go!

Anon this is literally THE BEST question ever thank u so much for asking!!

I’ve spoken about this before here, and here. What could’ve (& should’ve) been in season 6 and beyond with Mickey is my Roman Empire.

I’d obviously have him not go to prison, or he goes for a a couple months or so but in the end is found not guilty and released.

The main reason I would have LOVED if Mickey was in season 6 is actually Yevgeny (and Svetlana). The potential that storyline had! I would focus his season 6 arc on building a relationship with his son and how that helps him heal a bit from his childhood. That’s really where I think the writers were planning on going with his story.

I would say at the beginning, he’s still quite focused on Ian. But Ian is still pushing him away. Mickey is drinking a lot and drowning his sorrows and just in general feeling terrible. But eventually he pulls himself out of it. I think it’d be maybe Svetlana or Mandy who tells him to get his shit together. (Ian’s arc would remain largely the same but no Caleb bc fuck him).

I’d have Svetlana and Mickey still living together and him slowly warming more to Yevgeny and realizing how much he cares for him and loves him. It would have been SO good to see Mickey actively be a better father than Terry and how much that puts his own childhood into perspective for him.

He’d freak out and be hard on himself, often convincing himself that he’s a terrible dad and the kid is better off without him. But he’d be trying. One night Svetlana has to go out and he’s alone with Yevgeny and he has to bathe him and rock him to sleep and everything and Yevgeny is screaming and crying as toddlers do and Mickey is freaking out and trying not to lose it, but eventually he calms him down and rocks him to sleep and Mickey’s just like holy shit. He looks at his son and knows he’d do anything to keep him safe and it puts his own childhood into perspective bc he’s like how could anyone hurt this baby??? He’s breaking the cycle and trying not to repeat the sins of his father and we love that for him. He’s not perfect and he makes mistake but he’s trying!

Also I’m obsessed w what Mickeys reaction would be the first time Yev calls him Dada/Daddy. Maybe he’d be shocked at first and it’d freak him out and then he’d be like “yea kid, I’m your dad.”

He ends up spending a lot of time with Yevgeny and Svetlana and the three of them become a little dysfunctional family. Mickey and Svetlana hijinks PLEASE. Idek for sure what they’d be doing. But they’d spend a lot of time together, and really grow fond of each other. They become family. They still act like they hate each other, but they don’t. They’d become an accidental bestie/co parenting duo. At this point, Yev and Svet are kind of all Mickey has left, so he’d rely on them a lot. I can see him becoming really protective of them too. And family is important to Svet.

Also Mickey and Mandy get back in touch and she calls him after the dead guy incident for help and he brings Svetlana. Simply because I wanna see what Svetlana would do in that situation. Would be iconic. Also would keep Iggy and Colin in the show and have them hang out some bc they were funny and I miss them. Milkovich family bonding please!

I would like to see him still interact with the Gallagher’s - I’d definitely have him be the one to help out Carl with everything. Mickey would be the one to talk some sense into him and help him through it. I feel like he’d still sometimes talk to Debbie too. I would still have him & Ian not see much of each other, though. I think Ian avoiding him is quite in character for Ian.

One day he’s running a scam or dealing and almost gets caught and Svetlana is like “ok, we need real jobs.” And he goes out and gets a job as a bartender or bouncer somewhere.

When it comes to Ian, I think it’s better if they actually end up not seeing much of each other for a while. But Mickey hears that Ian is becoming an EMT and he’s really proud of him.

Eventually, they’d find their way back to each other. They start as friends and they both have to get passed everything that happened and Ian would have to get passed the “I’m not worthy of love” thing that he dealt with in season 10. One random way I can see it happening is that Ian hears that Yevgeny is in hospital (he’s fine, really high fever but he gets better) and is really worried so he goes to see him. Mickey is there worried out of his mind and they start talking and that’s the beginning of it.

I think Mickey’s priorities would shift and this would lead to a healthier dynamic between him and Ian. But I’ve gone into detail on that here so I won’t talk any more about it lol.

I haven’t thought all that much of what he’d do beyond season 6/7. I think in the following seasons he’d deal with balancing his family and his relationship with Ian. And also him dealing with more of his past trauma and everything (similar to what happened with Terry in season 10, and the PTSD he’d likely struggle with post canon). I’d love to see him talk to someone about it but I do feel like that’s something that he wouldn’t be ready for for years. I’d also like to see him become a tattoo artist or do any job he’d enjoy, but again that would probably be a future/later seasons storyline.

I feel like this isn’t great and I’ve worded it better other times lol. I probably have more but that’s what I’m saying for now! Might add to it if I get more ideas lol.

Hello, Hi! It me, ya girl, Mearii~ Back from a little hiatus of the sorts! It's been awhile since Sakura Con~ Hope you guys are doing well! Been on the art grind behind the scenes for a bit, trying to come up with some fun new designs for you guys as well as some fun -potentially- streaming ideas.

Even with that said, I did feel a little burnt out from posting since my last con... Trying to maintain an online presence, 9-5 worklife balance and just personal stuff got a bit overwhelming. 3. What’s a headcanon you can’t stop thinking about?

not sure if this is counted but i always like to think that once, ian got struck with grief about monica's death on her death anniversary. mickey asks him what's wrong and he opens up about it. ian will say it's stupid but mickey will truly handle it with grace and say nah man it's not. because yahknow, he gets it. and ian melts at it, because no one has acknowledged his grief like this before. mickey teases him about it a bit, sure, but deep down he held ian's mourning warmly, like petals on his palm. and they went together to the cemetery that day, simply sat in front of her grave and talked. the good things, the bad. and that despite it all "hey, tleast she popped out an alien lookin mfer i ended up marryin." they get pizza after.

5. What’s an idea you’d love to create if you had the time/inspiration?

i actually have a LIST lmao. one of those has something to do with art because i cannot take my mind away from human mickey and manananggal ian (manananggal is a Philippine myth creature with wings and can separate the upper half of its body from its lower half).

6. What’s something you’ve discovered since entering this fandom? A new trope you love? A different analysis of the show? Something else?

oh man. believe it or not, i was never into fics. i was in fandoms before, but i just couldn't get into fics within those fandoms (i tried). this is the only time i truly liked and LOVED reading fics. it really speaks volumes about the talent and dedication, and i'm glad i got to experience it.

it's also fun reading metas on the show and getting different perspectives, especially on characters. one of my favorites (just because i was so distressed about it the first time i watched it) are analyses on the city hall scene and ian's hesitation on marriage. after reading up others' thoughts on it explaining the why's, i totally felt some relief and was able to get some sleep. lol

7. What’s an underrated trope or concept you’d like to see more of?

8. What’s your favourite season? And has this changed after multiple rewatches of the show?

The first five seasons are gems to me. but i truly love season 2 because it's so chill (at least compared to some of the heavier seasons after) and the gallaghers move as a unit. special mention for season 4 because it holds Emily and Lazarus.

9. What’s a plot hole you wish had been answered or resolved?

same qualms with @mickeysgaymom about mickey's mom. brain rotting over it.

10. What scene or moment do you feel isn’t discussed enough?

not gallavich related, and i'm sure people have already mentioned it, but sometimes it hits me how smart debbie is. like, i know she's smart, but people easily forget from all the chaos. at the heart of it, she's a fast learner and also would and have excelled academically.

11. What line/dialogue/description from something else (a poem, a book, a tv show, a movie, or something else) do you feel describes Ian and Mickey’s relationship?

Not if it's you." but if i could pick another, maybe "I could recognize him by touch alone, by smell; I would know him blind, by the way his breaths came and his feet struck the earth. I would know him in death, at the end of the world."

12. What do you think is next for Ian and Mickey post-finale?

they'll grow old together and be just as in love, no matter what happens in between.

Mark laughs and waves at his boyfriend.

Yumyulack: *sighs lovingly* I love that boy…

At the basketball game, Yumyulack cheers for Mark.

But then, Mark accidentally misses a shot.

Korvo punches Stephen in the face and picks up an unconscious Terry.

Jesse shoots Stephen in the head.

Korvo watches as Stephen falls to the ground. Stephen then groans as he hit his head to the ground and hit his head.

The family takes Terry home and Korvo lays Terry down on the couch.

Korvo: Don’t worry Terry, we’re gonna make sure you get better.

Terry groans as he opens his eyes.

Korvo: *gasps* Terry-bear!

Korvo showers Terry in kisses in tears of joy gently as the kids smile and hug Terry. The scene then cuts to Terry in his bedroom bandage while eating his dinner in bed.

Korvo: Feeling better?

Terry: Yeah. Thank you for coming to rescue me Korvy.

Korvo kisses Terry on the forehead softly.

Korvo: Anytime my sweet Terrybear…

Korvo and Terry then kiss on the lips.

- I always headcanon Lip is a little jealous and he doesn’t know if he’s jealous of Ian and Mickey’s relationship in comparison to his and Tami’s? Or if it’s because it’s so clear that Mickey is Ian’s best friend now. He doesn’t dislike Mickey like he used to but he does get disappointed when brotherly hangout time turns into him third wheeling Ian and Mickey. I like to think Mickey notices this and subtly starts to say he’s bored or tired or whatever just so the brothers can hang out together. Lip is grateful to Mickey for this, even if Ian does still bring up Mickey all the damn time anyway.

- Fiona comes back to Chicago sometime post-s11 and she’s sorry she missed the wedding. She wants to make it up to them so she decides to cook them a meal at the Gallagher house. And she’s cooking but everything just keeps.going.wrong 😩 and she’s fucking fed up because she was supposed to be making them a nice meal and not some crap. Ian notices Fiona and Mickey are still kinda awkward around each other? So he offers Mickey’s help to Fiona. And Mickey is like 😠 because he wants to drink his beer not be Fiona’s assistant. But whatever, he’ll help out. And they end up laughing after awhile, maybe they bond a bit with some very very light teasing of Ian and Ian’s like ok, I get it, you two are BFFS now, where’s the food?

- Mickey’s sick of hearing Sandy bitch about Debbie. It’s obvious they both want to try again. They just need a little help. Ian is unsure on the one hand….awww they’re in love but on the other, he’s not sure he wants to deal with the fallout if they’re wrong and Debbie and Sandy get angry. Mickey’s like…nah, it’ll be fine. So Mickey invites Sandy out for a drink and Ian does the same with Debbie. But! When Debbie and Sandy show up, Ian and Mickey are nowhere to be seen. And….sparks fly!

- There’s a field trip Liam is supposed to go on but when Frank dies, it’s all a bit chaotic and it turns out no one signs the permission slip so he can’t go. When Ian and Mickey hear about this, they take Liam to the museum/art gallery/historical place for his own personal field trip. Ian and Mickey spend some time googling the basic stuff Liam needs to learn and they provide commentary as they take Liam around. Of course with their own Ian and Mickey style of ‘teaching’. There’s a paper based on the field trip and Liam gets an A+.

- Tipping buys the Alibi and gets Carl to manage it. But he’s in debt and has a load of other secret problems, and now Carl is working for him….they seem to be Carl’s problems too. When loan sharks descend on the Alibi, Carl realises calling the police won’t work because….come on, they are the police. He tells them to go get their money from Tipping. BUT….turns out he’s done a runner and has left Carl to deal with all this shit. Ian and Mickey happen to stop buy for a drink and they sense tension in the air. Carl tries to be brave and tells them it’s fine and they should go. But…oh FUCK no…they’re not leaving and Mickey manages to scare the shit out of the loan sharks while Ian comes up with a ‘deal’ to get them off Carl’s back and leave the Alibi alone (e.g. they’ll pay a small amount and go or Ian will let Mickey do whatever the fuck he wants.)

I looked at the anti aftg tag too to see if I could intermingle there and last I checked it was a mix of fans obsessed with the series and haters being just a tad harsh imo, so i couldn't even do that RIP. I'm so lonesome in what is maybe a whole group of people gaslighting me 😔👊

honestly ive said this before and i always have to tread a very fine line with it because this isn't me saying it's OKAY or like. promotable. but i do think to an extent that aftg's problematicness is actually an aspect of what draws people in a lot. like the characters and their reactions to things feel real for who they are, what they've been through and the environments they were raised in if that makes sense? and then you go in the anti-aftg tag and it's just again and again 'they said THIS thing and acted THIS way in response to THIS scenario and it was PROBLEMATIC' and like. yeah. outside of the internet bubble you're in people do actually do that. like that behaviour exists. it IS problematic, well done. you pointed at a wall and called it a wall. but like? in real life people - PARTICULARLY deprived, traumatised people that typically don't ever get therapy or community or someone telling them why something is bad - DO act this way. ive said half of my love for andrew is literally just because he took an awful backstory and let it make him a complete cunt and ive NEVER seen a character do it as shamelessly as him before. and yeah there's the argument for how it's never resolved in the book where nora ties it with a bow and points at the bad behaviour so the readers can go 'see, this is wrong' and we all clap, but idk it just for me feels that when people point at the aftg characters and go problematic! problematic! problematic! it's like they're missing the point a bit.

the point being? that we need to be putting WAY more heat on the author. i really dislike her and a lot of her writing choices and her insistance of using slurs that aren't hers to reclaim and just because it happened to make the characters feel just that bit more authentic i can still acknowledge that she CLEARLY wrote it without characterisation in mind and just added all that problematic shit anyway. like i never get why there's so little focus on nora's writing decisions and thousands of posts just fucking CRUCIFYING the characters themselves and 'let's explain in detail why this behaviour is Morally Reprehensible and they should be Locked Up Forever'. like if u want to focus on the characters so bad and pretend they're the sole reason why aftg is Problematic and Bad then why is it so hard to acknowledge that someone raised the way they were might have some misinformed, ignorant beliefs. idk lol
