“Tetsu-kun gives the best hugs,” Satsuki points out.

“I disagree,” you tell her calmly, not looking up from your book.

“But-!”

“Uhuh,” you shake your head, not losing your spot. “You’re just saying that because you’re into him. But as someone who’s not biased, I give him a five out of ten. He’s straight middle field.”

On your right, Daiki snorts under his breath. You lose your spot, furrowing your brows as you try to find it again. What sentence were you reading again?

“But-” Satsuki’s looking for the right words. “Wait, wait… what about the others then? I bet he’s better at hugging as the rest. Right?”

“He’s better than Midorima,” you agree, your brows relaxing. “He’s way too stiff.”

“When did you hug Midorima?” Daiki asks, turning. His left foot knocks against yours, throwing you off your spot in the page yet again. With a huff, you close your book. It’s no use, it seems.

“A few months ago,” you recall. “Appartenly Oha Asa called for it.”

“Bullshit,” Daiki spits out, sitting up straighter. “I bet he just wanted to know how it feels like and he’s too afraid of Satsuki to ask her.”

“Maybe.” You shrug. “But I give him a three out of ten.”

“See,” Satsuki nods. “Tetsu-kun’s hugs are better than-”

“Sorry,” you interrupt her again, your whole focus on her now. “But don’t forget about Kise. And Murasakibara. Or Akashi.”

Daiki’s glaring holes into your head as Satsuki’s face falls.

“Don’t tell me,” she starts, cutting herself off as you nod.

“Kise gets a seven out of ten. He’s too eager and too careless at the same time. He hit my chin with his shoulder. I almost lost a tooth to it.”

“And Mursakibara?”

“Eight.” You nod solemnly. “I would have bumped it up if not for the fact that he left crumbs in my hair. He’s really warm. And tall.”

Daiki’s turned rigid. Satsuki must have noticed, but she keeps on asking.

“And Akashi?”

“It’s Akashi,” you tell her simply. “He’s perfect.”

“A ten?” Daiki asks, his voice doing something weird. 

“Oh, no. He’s a nine.” You shake your head, biting your tongue. “I am into taller guys, you know.”

Satsuki huffs and leans back, missing the way Daiki’s eyes widen. But you don’t miss it. You’ve been looking for it.

His shoe knocks against yours. You knock back.

“Doesn’t matter,” Satsuki declares, oblivious to what’s going on around her. “Tetsu-kun’s the best hugger to me.”

“You should tell him that,” you offer and she nods, getting up.

“You’re totally right. I’m going to tell him right now.”

Maybe you should have pointed out that she still needed to pay her drink, but you don’t really mind her leaving early. After all, a warm hand has grabbed yours under the table, rubbing anxious circles into your skin.

Daiki’s not saying it. So you don’t mention it either.

Eventually he pays, pulls you up by your hand and stuffs your book into his bag, knowing full well your purse can’t contain the monstrosity of a book you’ve decided to read this week.

You’re halfway down the road when he speaks up again.

“So…”

“So?”

“What’s my rating?”

“Do I really have to tell you that?” You ask, “Mr. No one can beat me but me?”

“Heh,” he grins, his confidence shining through. “Don’t tell me I’m a ten out of ten.”

“I don’t think I could possibly rate you,” you admit. “I’m pretty biased, after all.”

Daiki pouts. “Come on. You can’t just rate everyone and not me. Also, how did you get to hug so many of us?”

“I just asked. Most people don’t mind a hug.”

“You… You asked? You asked Akashi if you could hug him?”

“Well, Akashi was a little different. I told him I was in love with you. He hugged me as a kind of consolation. I think he wanted me to do better.”

Daiki’s face is frozen in a mix of bewilderment and indignation as you laugh.

“What do you mean, do better? How could you do better than me?”

You snort. “Oh, Daiki, you’re so full of yourself.”

“Deserved.”

“You lost to Tetsu! Again. And Kagami, cause, you know, they’re both on the same team.”

“No way in hell is Kagami better for you than I am! Does he even read?”

You swing your joined hands up and kiss the back of his, reveling in the way his eyes widen. Even though he doesn’t blush, the signs are always there, you just have to look for them.

“Easy there, tiger. I already love you.”

“You better.” He grumbles, before looking both ways and pulling you down a beaten path into a park, past swingsets, and a Basketball court.

“Where are we going?”

“Somewhere private,” he tells you over his shoulder, turning left and stopping just short of a group of trees, falling into a slower walk.

“Are you going to murder me now?” You joke. “For hugging Akashi?”

“I should, shouldn’t I? Hugging him before you hugged me.”

“You could have hugged me whenever,” you tell him, “All you needed to do was ask.”

“What? Like, can I hug you?”

“Sure,” you step closer and wrap your arms around him.

For a second, he’s tense, as if you caught him by surprise.

But then, just like always, he softens.

For someone so tall and so full of raw power, Daiki can melt into your embrace in seconds, sinking into your hold while keeping you safe at the same time.

If you would have to describe it, you wouldn’t have words. 

He’s incredibly warm, his heat present even through the jacket he’s wearing. 

His head sinks against your shoulder, his nose sniffing at your neck.

“What are you doing?” You giggle, curling your fingertips into his shoulders. 

“You smell really good,” he drawls out, as if he’s not the one who buys expensive Cologne, who’s probably the best smelling out of all his friends - well, except Akashi maybe, but his Cologne isn’t really your type.

“Next time, when Satsuki asks,” he points out, voice low and gravely, “tell her I’m the best hugger.”

“She won’t believe me.”

“Don’t care.” His lips brush against your skin and you shiver. “I need to hear you say it.”

“You’re so cocky.”

He pulls on a strand of your hair, swaying you from left to right.

You’re not getting out of here anytime soon.

“Ah, come here.” Kagami leans down for a hug, pulling you in before you have time to complain. He’s tall and broad, but just like Kise, he doesn’t account for the difference in size, knocking your head back with his shoulder.

“Ouch,” you say, sensing Daiki’s laughter before you hear it.

“Not a ten out of ten,” he jokes, pulling you to his side. Quieter, he whispers “No one can beat me but you.”

- But who cares about height there are other measurements that are more important (I’m not pointing fingers)

- You are still smaller than him so he can put his hand on your hair and just destroy any hairstyle you have and laugh at you

- The king of putting his hand around you waist

- Randomly nibbles your neck and starts teasing (usually it ends up spicy)

- Mr “I’ll whisper dirty stuff to your ear in public and watch you get red”

- Puts his chin on your head All. The. Time.

- Tries to make you play basketball with him because “tbh you are still higher than Akashi and Kuroko so maybe there’s some potential” (he’d never say that next to Akashi obv)

Midorima

- Midorima is so clueless and extra tall, that he wouldn’t even notice that you are reasonably tall for a girl until someone points it out. Or until you stand next to Takao

- He has absolutely no opinion about it whatsoever because he just don’t think it’s an important factor in a relationship

- However he gets red like a tomato if you’d hug him from behind and put your face on his shoulder

- Or if you stand on your tiptoes and give him a forehead kiss. He is g o n e

- That’s the day he decided he loves that you are tall

- Gets annoyed when someone comments that you could be a model. Tells you that you absolutely shouldn’t start a model career, and didn’t want to elaborate why (because he was afraid you’d start attracting a bigger crowd and leave him bc he is an insecure Bebe inside fight me)

Murasakibara

- Tall? You? You look like a Smurf to him

- Who is this gnome standing next to him? Yes that’s you

- I mean, again, Murasakibara do not find you really tall. However seeing how small are girls at school, Atsushi fast realised that this is as good as it gets

- Atsushi constantly puts his head on yours

- If any guy tries to flirt with you and approaches you, he gets jealous quickly and shows up out of nowhere and holds you by the waist to show dominance (and with his height… works like a charm)

- Murasakibara is a big baby and pouts if any guy is complimenting how tall you are

- Also for very long he would call you “tiny” and everyone had the idea that you must be very small, and gets surprised when they meet you (“well for me she is tiny”)

- He is constantly kissing the crown of your head

- The biggest softie, honestly for him being taller than an average person makes you just… average to him, and that’s honestly perfect

- Not that big on pda but will always hold you close, hold your hand, waist, just to show everyone that you are taken

Akashi

- Being taller than Akashi… oh boy, well

- Obviously you didn’t expect to fall for a guy who is shorter than you, but obviously Akashi has a huge personality and it doesn’t really matter

- You are almost the same height and it has a lot of perks: for example it’s so easy to get a quick kiss without a lot of effort

- Akashi loves to kiss your neck

- No one dares comment about lack of height difference

- Akashi actually encourages you to wear heels if you like them, because he has enough confidence to not get insecure about this kind of stuff, which you appreciate a lot

- Also all of his clothes fits you like a glove, which is a huge perk especially with the fancy expensive stuff you can wear as your own

- You sometimes kabedon him as a surprise when you are alone

- It never ends up well for you (but spicy edition)

Kagami

- Kagami just like Midorima has one braincell and he wouldn’t even notice that you are tall until someone says it out loud

- One day he saw you standing next to Kuroko and he yelled “oh you are taller than Kuroko? You should play basketball”

- One braincell golden retriever

- Just like Aomine he tries to persuade you to play basketball with him (basketball ball for brain I swear)

- He has this reflex to grab your waist and pull you closer whenever there is a crowd

- Loves it when you lay down on his shoulder and fall asleep when you watch a movie

- Loves it when you snuggle your nose in his collarbone, he gets so red

- He is not big on pda but when no one is looking he would sneak a tiny cheek kiss (he actually loves tiny kisses, as well as steamy make out sessions)

- If someone says you look like a model he would get hyped up

Takao

- Takao is a cheeky boy, he would for sure be the one flirting with you till you fall for him

- He fell first he fell harder and he would do everything to convince you to date him even when he is slightly shorter than you

- When he succeeded he couldn’t believe it and he feels like he is the happiest guy on the planet

- The Greenest Flag in here, he treats you like a queen

- Flexes about you constantly, how beautiful and amazing his gf is

Like it just came up in a casual conversation with a parent of s/o showing off old pictures of s/o training and winning medals and trophies but it all unexpectedly ended up with a serious hands injury so they stopped right before a big world wide event? She’s just as flexible as before now with lighter training than before!

Akashi

Surprised in himself that he didn’t know. Akashi makes it a point to be well informed. He is pleased to hear their parents be so proud of them, even if they can’t compete anymore. It’s a rare thing for him for parents to be proud. He does see though that talking about the past hurts them, so he quickly moves to change the conversation to new, current achievements.

Aomine

Aomine never knew. But then again, he didn’t ask. He suddenly realizes talking to their parents that he doesn’t know a lot about his partner, other than just superficial junk that’s not really important. He asks why they never told him about it and they tell him it’s not important anymore, but he can tell that it is. If he lost basketball Aomine would lose it. He can’t think about what they must be going through, losing their dream, and he’s hurt that they didn’t trust him enough to share it with him.

Kise

Excited to talk about their accomplishment. Even though they can’t compete anymore, their work beforehand and their work & knowledge now is impressive. Kise is the only one that doesn’t treat their injury like a loss, but that and opportunity to change course. Like coaching. Or being a manager of a team. He encourages them to continue doing what they love, even if they can’t do it exactly the same, and is supportive of their new goals.

Kuroko

It’s certainly a surprise. Since Kuroko has never met this person, the ‘athlete s/o’, it’s definitely a shift in his opinion of them. He asks a lot of questions on what competitions were like or what is was like doing stunts, but he doesn’t really know too much about the sport of gymnastics. Basketball has been the only one he was ever interested in. Tries to be supportive and notices when they get a little upset talking about it. When he lost his old friends after middle school, he thought he would lose his friends & sport forever. So he can sympathize.

Midorima

He figured that they were some kind of athlete. Based on their build and how they worked out sometimes, they clearly had a strict schedule and routine for performance. Midorimia feels bad for them. He can’t imagine your dream getting taken away like that. All that hard work down the drain. Chooses to not bring it up anymore because he doesn’t want to upset them, but does ask for stretching tips as that is a big part of gymnastics training.

Murasakibara

Doesn’t really know what to say. Murasakibara has never really been interested in his sport. He plays it cause he’s tall, he’s good at it, and it gives him something to do. He would be just as happy not play as he is on a team. So he can’t really understand what they are going through. He thinks their medals are cool though. He’s never gotten a medal for basketball. Maybe if they had those instead of trophies he would be more invested.

+Kagami

It breaks his heart to know that their career is over. Kagami would die if he could never play basketball again, or his dreams of going pro were suddenly over. He can’t imagine how hard that must be, but he knows someone who does. Kagami makes a point to introduce them to Alex. Alex would understand and be a good support person for them. Teaching them how to cope and maybe use their skills for a new hobby or path. Kagami tries to be supportive as well and a source of comfort when they need it. Whatever they need he’s there for them.

PROLOGUE: first time

years ago

She didn't know where she was going, and honestly, she didn't care. All she knew was that she just wanted to get away and distract herself. To do whatever it took to numb the ache in her chest and the lump forming in her throat.

She wounded up at a bar. She had it set in mind; she was going to drink her problems away. Forgetting semi, forget Hana, and just forget how she wasted the last 4 years of her life with people who never truly cared for her. But, the minute the bitter, revolting taste of liquor hit her throat, she knew she couldn't down another. And so, she sat.

She had been there a while. Just people watching. She thought that if maybe she couldn't drink away her problems...she could find other ways to disract herself.

Y/n flinched back as her eyes landed on blues one staring back at her from across the bar. He looked around the same age as her and she swears she's seen him around campus before, head down and striding down the halls. Now that she was looking at him directly, he was gorgeous. Hands down. With the way his black frames were perched on his nose so perfectly and the intensity of his gaze as he looked at her. Y/n knew she had found her distraction.

This was a first time in 4 years that she has ever tasted someone else. He was different from Eita. Keiji, as she learn was his name, was different. The hands on her hips were feather-like in the way they held onto her. His kisses were careful as if this had been his first time kissing a girl, but Y/n didn't mind because she was enjoying the moment too much to rush anything. So, she savored it.

The two were currently back in y/n's dorm, Keiji on top and nestled between her thighs. They had discarded their clothing a while ago and now they were just bare, he was free to judge her if he wanted to. Keiji never did though. He simply took his time getting to know the sensitive parts of the girl under him. Her best friend and also roommate, Hana, was no where to be found and she tried to push back the thought of her whereabouts. But, it was difficult to ignore.

She's with Eita, she thought. Y/n couldn't control the hot tears that slid her down her cheeks as she continued to allow herself this. She needed this. She needed him. All she wanted to right now was to feel wanted.

And, Keiji wanted her. She didn't care if it was just for the night. If that was the case, she would not take it for granted. Being with Akaashi felt good. So good she felt guilty for letting her mind wander when all his attention was on her.

He had her spread, hands on each inner thigh to keep her there. The raven haired looked at her as he were asking for permission to continue. y/n nodded, she searched for anything to grip onto. She had eventually settled for his back.

Manicured nails slid down his fair skin as they left faint red lines in there wake at the sudden pressure. “Does it hurt?” He asked, his soft voice fanning against her ear.

"No, keep going."

Many things had led to another and y/n found herself lying next to him hours later. She didn't speak and Keiji made no move to leave either.

"I'm sorry." she muttered. The beautiful stranger turned to look at her, questioningly. "For what?"

"I'm..." What was she sorry for? Being distracted? Crying into his shoulder the whole time when he was nothing but gentle? "I'm not sure. I just feel like I wasn't in the moment than I wanted to be."

“If you don’t mind me asking, does this have to do with a guy?”

She shifted to more a comfortable position. It was impossibly dark at this point of the night so she couldn’t see anything. The only thing reassuring her that Akashi was still there was the warmth his body offered her. Weirdly, she felt okay enough to tell him everything.

“Yeah, I got dumped. He left me for my best friend.” He didn’t say anything, so she continued.

“I’m not sure how I feel about it. I’m mixed between being relieved but also missing him. And, it feels wrong to. To miss him, I mean. I never truly felt like he saw me, you know? For god sakes he never remembered what my favorite flower was.” Y/n was grateful that he couldn’t see her face right now. She choked back a sob and realized how stupid this was. Venting to a stranger and a hookup no less? Leave it to her to make things awkward.

Y/n covered her face out of habit as she felt herself about to cry for the millionth time tonight. “I’m sorry.” She hiccuped, “Don’t feel obligated to stay. You’re free to leave.”

Akaashi remained where he was. “What are your favorite flowers?”

“Tulips. I like Tulips.”

“Okay, I’ll remember that.” He murmured.

The next morning came around and her body was wrapped around something warm. She grumbly lifted her head to see that she was on top of Akaashi, and she stiffened. She thought he would’ve left after she fell asleep, but here he was snoozing peacefully.

She made quick work to get off him, stumbling off the bed to dress herself and eating shit in the process. “What the hell?” She hissed at the pain, and looked at the cause of the fall.

An open journal.

Her brows furrowed, she cautiously eyed the sleeping figure in her bed. Y/n figured he wasn’t going to wake up anytime soon so she picked it up.

WHAT. THE. FUCK.

Y/n acted on impulse in that moment, grabbing his discarded clothing from off the floor and throwing it at him.

Akaashi jolted upward, ruffling his disheveled hair. “What’s happening?”

“I’m not some sob story you can write about in your stupid diary.” She shouted.

“Wait, what? Ow!” Akaashi didn’t see the book hurdling at his head until it hit him right square on the temple. He quickly shuffled off the bed, shielding himself in case she decided to throw a lamp at him next.

“Get out!” She didn’t give him time to properly dress himself, leading him towards the door and pushing him out into the hallway in just boxers and a shirt.

“Wait, let me explain—”

SLAM!

She turned her back and huffed. “Weirdo.”

Tetsuya Kuroko

👤If you would have called him a pretty boy in literally every other situation, Kuroko would have been over the moon. You have to consider that he is often overlooked due to his natural talent to just not be noticed by people even if he is standing right next to them. Instead you decide to go straight for his feelings by telling him that you have no interest in pretty boys like him. You might as well have just punched him in his gut and it would have probably hurt less than your instant rejection. You didn't even give him a chance... Tetsuya doesn't even try to say anything back as he instead quietly leaves the scene. He is visibly gloomy for the rest of the day though and has never been more glad that people don't notice him as he just needs some time for himself to work through his pain. He feels unfairly treated as you just judged him only based on his looks without considering his personality. He's sure that if you were to know him better, you would realise that too.

👤​Then again, he has spent more time stalking you and following you around than actually spending time with you in person. Maybe that is where the problem lies? He spends the next few days trying to gather the courage to approach you again but he always gets cold feet as there is always this clench of his heart when he tries to do so, scared that you will send him away again. Plans are made during those days where Kuroko follows you around, observes you and thinks about what the best way is to face you once again. He knows your routine by heart as he waits for you in the places he knows you will stop by eventually. Kuroko isn't the most social person by a long shot but he thinks that maybe that is the problem right now. You just haven't gotten the chance to know him well enough which is why you made this unfair assumption about him. Hopefully he will be able to change your mind because if you reject him once more, he might get a bit desperate.

Atsushi Murasakibara

🍭​I don't think he has ever given it much consideration that he would be considered quite good-looking by many others. So you can probably imagine his major confusion when you tell him very clearly that you aren't into pretty boys like him. Are you confusing him with Himuro right now? Because his friend is usually the one who is considered the pretty boy in the team. Don't worry though, you won't hurt his feelings in the slightest bit with your rejection. Because Atsushi just decides to ignore it as if it never happened in the first place. Ignorance is apparently really bliss after all. He genuinely doesn't understand what your problem is with him and because he can't understand he just brushes it off as something not important and continues to seek you out. So there you have him, a giant man who is acting like a giant baby as you decide to vehemently avoid him whenever he approaches you. Murasakibara is just as persistent though as he chases you around whenever you try to disappear.

🍭​He eventually starts to feel irritated as well as frustrated with your behavior. Why are you being so difficult? He just wants to spend his time with you. The lack of attention and care you decide to give him really upsets him to the point where he becomes uncooperative in other aspects of his life as he isn't in the mood and doesn't see the meaning behind it if you aren't around. He starts getting desperate pretty soon and attempts to somehow get your attention back on him. From following you around whilst whining like a spoiled child to trying to bribe you with his candy. It is all annoying and exhausting for you, at least until his thinning patience finally snaps and he starts getting angry with your difficult attitude. That's when he starts being physically forceful as he drags you around with him or just lifts you up as if you are a toy and carries you to a place where he can be alone with you. He even starts scaring your friends as he starts feeling very jealous that you ignore him but pay so much attention to them.

Seijuro Akashi

🏆​You're playing a very dangerous game by telling him just like that to his face that you have little to no interest in a pretty boy like him. Especially if you two are around people you can probably audibly hear the crowd around you gasping for air as you reject him as quick as you do. Even Akashi didn't expect this and for a while he is genuinely baffled as he stares at you with a surprised look. This shock quickly dies down though as he regains his composure. He feels genuinely offended which is a first for him as no one has ever dared to greatly disrespect him due to his influence and the fact that most people are at least a bit afraid of him. He lets you get away with it though. For now at least. There is only the slightest twitch of his eyebrow and the displeased glint in his eyes that gives you the chills for a short moment before it all disappears behind a neutral look he puts on. He'll ignore this for now but it isn't very nice to just judge him based on his physical appearance.

🏆​A tiny part of him still manages to feel amused by your proclamation as it is usually his appearance that earns him adoration from fans. It's almost nice that you don't fall into the same category of all of his fans but that doesn't mean that you can just reduce him to a mere pretty boy and be done with. If you do that with others, he doesn't care but don't you dare do it with him. He is much more than just a handsome face and if you allow him to prove that to you, you would do the both of you a favor. You are going to spend an increased amount of time with him from that day on and if you don't want to do it by your own free will, Seijuro can simply arrange a thing or two behind your back. Mind you, he is being considerate right because despite the manipulation he uses to influence your own life, he is still allowing you the choice of freely choosing to get to know him better. If you decide to remain stubborn until the bitter end though, he may have to show you why people are so scared of him.

Tatsuya Himuro

◾​Himuro is the definition of a pretty boy and he is absolutely adored by all of his fans who send him love letters all of the time. Perhaps he can understand your sentience somewhere as he is aware of the bad image people as attractive as him tend to have. One minute, you're Sanzu's secretary, and the next, you're his glorified therapist. It all started when he came back from a mission drenched in the blood of traitors he personally put to rest. He wasn’t quite himself, even being under the influence of drugs. This was very unusual.

Sanzu threw off his bloodied waistcoat and tie, throwing them across the room. He fumbled in his steps to the couch in his office, collapsing onto it with a heavy sigh squeezing the bridge of his nose. "I'm an only child." He kept repeating over and over.

You dropped what you were doing, setting the stack of papers onto your desk and stepped over to him, sitting in the chair across from him. "Do you want ot talk about it, Sanzu?"

Sanzu repeated his sigh and shook his head. "Just let me rest a bit."

You nodded, patiently waiting for his next move. Sanzu mumbled under his breath, clearly annoyed by something. "Fucking Takeomi....you're not my brother anymore....don't need to tell me how to do my shit...."

"Wait...Takeomi is your brother?"

Sanzu froze. His eyes widened as he realized what he said out loud. He quickly grabbed your hand, bringing you closer to him and placed his hand over your mouth, staring at you, warning you not to say another word...yet. His shoulders slumped, moving his hand away when you nodded and dropped a heavy sigh. "Yes....that asshole is my brother..." His eyes darted to your chair, giving you the cue he was ready. "Where do I begin with this...."

Sanzu started with the times Takeomi punished him for the things Senju did then proceeded to blame him for not taking care of his sister because of it. Over and over again. He hated it. It wasn't his fault at all and yet, he'd be punished whether Takeomi knew or not. He wanted to say something, anything to keep it from happening but he could never stand up to his brother. At one point, he couldn't take it anymore and left. He wasn't Haruchiyo Akashi anymore, he's now Haruchiyo Sanzu.

"Hold on, Takeomi is your brother...and he did all that to you even though it wasn't? The fuck?!! You bolted from your chair in disbelief and fury. "Who the fuck does that?!"

Sanzu stared wide eyed at you from the couch. You didn't raise your voice often but how could you not after hearing everything?

"Sanzu, one slap. Just one slap across that bastard's face is all I ask."

Sanzu couldn't help but smile at the thought. What he would do to witness such a sight. He sat up, directly facing you now. "So, you want to slap my bastard of a brother?"

"Yes, please Sanzu! He deserves it!"

"Alright, let me call him in here." He stood up to get his phone from the table.

You gasp in shock, "Wait, right now? Really?!"

Sanzu picks his phone up, eyeing you with a smirk. "But of course. And I'll make sure he doesn't say anything."

Request of @study-milk : HII it's not so much of a scenario as more of a question. So of the tokyo revengers guys (for ex. Bonten) which ones would you categorize as affectionate obsessive vs territorial obsessive.

Like those who's obsession falls under love sick who will pursue you openly and quicky vs territorial type who play a slow game of winning your sole attention.

First of all I have to apologize for taking so long! You request was so interesting, but I was so busy with everything else, that I could barely dictate some of my time do it! Also, if you wanted something differently please tell me! <3

(I also decided to do a bit more for you, though if you want me to elaborate on someone, just tell me...)

PS: You don´t ask too much. I actually very much enjoyed writing this request. It was a lot of fun!!

So first of all, I gotta figure out, who of the guys is obsessive and not only possessive. What is the difference?

The guys with the possessive trait want to own you, want to be the single thing your world revolves around. Incredibly jealous and will disturn and shut down conversation he ain´t a part of. He feels entitled to you.

The obsessive trait is more focused on getting to know his darling. Every little piece of information is carefully squirrelled away, to come out again in the right moment. He will bask in the warmth that your attention brings him. Always watching, always learning more.

Though both of these things are not incompatible. They can happen at the same time. The same guy can be both obsessive and possessive.

Obsessive: Matsuno Chifuyu, Hanagaki Takemichi, Shiba Hakkai, Akashi Takeomi, Hanma Shuji

Possessive: Kurokawa Izana, Sanzu, Draken, Angry, Hanemiya Kazutora, Haitani Ran, Shiba Taiju, Smiley, Baji Keisuke

Both: Kakucho, Tachibana Naoto, Kokonoi Hajime, Haitani Rindou, Mikey, Mitsuya Takashi, Kisaki Tetta

As you can see, that we have 5 boys for the exclusive obsessive traits, most of them, with 10, are in the possessive category. And at last, we have another 7 in the mixed category. These guys present clear traits in my opinion of both categories. So it isn´t quite clear if they´re being possessive or obsessive. This is also where most of the Bonten members are in, who are by the way all in bold. I left out Mochizuki, because I can´t quite grasp his character.

In the request, there was made a difference between affectional and territorial obsessive. And I think, I might be able to draw a line for those things as well. If you look at the request the terms were actually very nicely explained already.

Affectional seems to align more with being so in love, that it makes him sick, and you as well. Constantly draped over you, talking about things that you can connect over. He puts in a lot of effort to be seen in a very positive light by you.

Territorial on the other hand is intent to whisk you away from any other person. He tries to become your focus as well, but instead of him enforcing it like the possessive trait would, he wants you to choose him over and over again.

At the last moment, I decided to sort the possessive traits also into affectionate and territorial, even though like I predicted most of them landed in the territorial category. Only Sanzu, Draken and Kazutora got into the affectionate category, because I felt like it was needed to point out, that these guys are majorly affectionate. I also decided against using a middle ground between affectionate and territorial, because I felt like I wouldn´t be able to decide if not making definite choices.

Well, enough of that! Instead I would like to focus on what we have. The affectionate trait is carried by 8 guys, which only makes it more obvious that most of the guys are territorial, with 13 guys.

So I think it is pretty easy to say, that possessive and territorial are the more popular traits with the Tokyo Revengers guys.

I come back to Bonten again though:

Sanzu is affectionate possessive. He uses his affection to possess his darling completely. He will enforce his rules, but he tends to act quite lovesick and overly affectionate most of the time. He will whine and cry, and fuss over his darling, being intimate without chasing other people away, bodily at least.

Kakucho is territorial obsessive and possessive. While he wants to know everything about you, he tends to use this information to keep you better for himself. He has also the bad habit of infantilizing his darling, for which he will use the collected knowledge. He also tries to keep everyone, hence being territorial.

Takeomi is territorial obsessive. While he wants to know his darling as well, he kind of uses them as an emotional crutch. He became dependent on them without him realising. He needs to keep them as close to him as possibly, without being able to show them how he feels for them, which is what makes him so territorial, while being obsessive.

Koko is like Kakucho territorial obsessive and possessive. He wants to know you to better win you over for himself. It will point him in the right direction, to talk about the right things, to get you the right things. Though his main goal is territorial at its core. He wants you to be dependent on him, that you will always run back to him, because you simply can´t live any more without him. And he will ensure, that this will happen.

Rindou is affectionate obsessive and possessive. He is very affectionate with his darling and constantly wants to spend time with them. This also leads to him learning a lot about them, and his darling being constantly on his mind. His possessive trait comes from him growing dependent on them, and being afraid of them being taken away from him. So he will ensure, that this won´t happen. It´s fed from his separation anxiety.

Ran is territorial possessive. He wants to own his darling, and doesn´t want other people getting their grubby paws on them either. He feels entitled to the affection and time of his darling, and doesn´t really care for their opinion of him.

Mikey is again affectionate obsessive and possessive. In a manner he is very similar to Rindou. They have the same problems. He is dependent on his darling, wants to desperately keep themself and fears the thought of being separated from them. He tries to hide it though, and some days he comes across as more territorial than affectional, though other days he will cling desperately to you the whole time, unwilling to let you go.

I think that this is it from me. I hope it doesn´t sound as formal as it looks to me at the moment, which can be attributed to me writing a lot of essays these past few months. A lot..., so many... Sometimes I could really hate what I study...

Akashi doesn’t really understand it.

His father taught him that apologies are for the weak, and a person of his station should never apologize; a lesson that Emperor!Akashi took to heart.

Once he’s back to his old self, and meeting s/o, he apologies a little more. Their “weakness” rubbing off on him.

He does wish they would stand up for themselves a little more than just immediately apologize.

Aomine

He finds it pretty annoying.

Aomine rarely apologizes for anything. When you’re talented, you don’t have to. So he doesn’t get why they apologize so much.

He also realizes that, because of this, they are apologizing for him a lot. Which makes him feel bad that they have to stick up for him.

Aomine tries to get them on team ‘fuck ‘em all’ but they just can’t seem to do it. So he’ll stand up when they shouldn’t apologize for them.

Kise

Kise thinks it’s absolutely adorable.

They get so flustered and a bit red in the face, that Kise can’t help but think they’re so cute.

He does realize that the over apologizing may be a part of a lack of confidence, so he tires to help and fix that with lots of praise & words of encouragement.

He does hope though, that even when they are more confident in themselves, they always apologize that way.

Kuroko

Pretty similar to his s/o, just not as frequently.

Kuroko is very soft spoken and quick to apologize when needed. The key word being ‘when needed’.

He does get a little annoyed that s/o apologizes seemingly for everything as people take advantage and make it seem like it was their fault. Which he doesn’t like.

Doesn’t really try to fix their behavior, but does comment now & then that it really should have been the other person who apologized.

Midorima

It gets on his nerves a little, but it is what it is and he’s not going to make a fuss about it.

Midorima is a big advocate for taking responsibility for your actions. And part of that is apologizing when you are wrong; he’s the quickest out of any GoM to apologize.

However, it does go overboard with s/o to the point that it’s not taking responsibility but just heaping it on. He doesn’t feel it’s sincere at that point.

He doesn’t do anything about it, or make a comment, but when they get on one of their apology reels he does tend to leave the area for a bit.

Murasakibara

Unless it involves basketball, snacks, or his comfort games, Murasakibara doesn’t pick up on a lot of stuff. He does wonder sometimes why they apologized to the chair for running into it.

Gets annoyed though when they apologize for him in certain situations. He’s not a child. He can apologize if he wants (he won’t but they don’t know that).

Maybe it’s a little awkward because Murasakibara has always been so big that people apologize to him, because his size is so intimidating, that it’s odd being the one to apologize sincerely.

Let me just say first, to imagine that this man doesn't already know how to speak Chinese is kinda hard

Like as the heir of an important family, he has to speak multiple languages

So in his case, I'd say it's more that he's not fluent in Chinese more than him actually not speaking of word of it

In any case, he makes it his mission to resolve that communication issue

Language? That'll never be a barrier for him

See, Seijurō speaks gentleman

No need for you to know what he's saying or vice-versa because boy literally doesn't have to talk to treat you like a queen, yk?

But sometimes you kinda have specific demands and there he actually has to listen and translate

Because he's a genius, the little Chinese he already knows + his ability of picking on context cues help him understand you without much translation needed

And in the rare case he's wrong, he'll note down the words and phrases he didn't get so he can enrich is vocabulary

He thinks it's more important for him to adapt to your language than for you to adapt to his

Like he doesn't want to burden you with learning a new language just for him

So he started straightaway with learning as much as he could of Chinese language and culture

Listened to you very carefully to know which dialect you were speaking so he could learn this one specifically

He kinda got mad at some point during the process of learning, though, because some characters are the same and have the same meaning in both languages, but they're not pronounced the same

He relishes in all the miscommunications that happen between you, that's just entertaining to him

But he'll eventually start to realise that it's a bit of an issue on the daily

Especially because he's such a sweet talker and a sacarstic dude that he kinda gets frustrated that he can't communicate that to you

So when it comes to learning Chinese, you can bet he crams a lot so that he can be fluent enough to be witty

Gives you a hard time learning Japanese, though

He's the kind of fucker that has fun using complicated sentences and figurative language just to make you confused

So the only way to strike him back is by talking to him in dialect and phrases

I'm too late...

Let me just say that I regret not watching Kuroko's Basketball because I could've started this amazing anime 9 YEARS AGO. LITERALLY NINE YEARS AGO. I'm that late to the point this fandom is pretty much, more or less, dead. I've been trying to look for acc for KNB fics and I'm barely finding any and I'm just dying inside from how I need more KNB content cuz I'm nearly done with this anime already like why??? I want more wholesome GoM moments, more Kuroko moments (pls he's underrated ever since Akashi showed up, but I still love Akashi fr like who can hate him esp. when he's voiced by HIROSHI KAMIYA), and just I need more of this amazing anime.

I really dislike that feeling when you get into a fandom with the anime being binged easily within weeks along with scarce fics about the anime, and you're just there wanting more but it ended years ago. *sighs* This makes me want to rewatch Haikyuu again because that fandom is thriving amazingly, but I'm just so sad my journey with KNB is gonna end so quickly after all those amazing hype moments and the good animations too (lets not forget Aomine vs Kagami pls).
