Just returned from a very long and tiring but absolutely amazing day out where I was lucky enough to see some costumes from Pride and Prejudice (1995) at Sudbury Hall. There was an impressive array on display with lots of historical context included. It was a seriously well done exhibition, with many more costumes than just those belonging to Elizabeth and Mr Darcy as above (I will share them eventually).

It was so surreal but wonderful to stand in front of the costumes that were used to bring my favourite characters to life onscreen. I noticed so many little details that you just can't pick up when you're watching it (even some amusing stains!) and gained a new appreciation for the care that went into crafting each outfit (some were only worn once).

Plus, to see them in the space where they were actually worn, in the house that was used for the interiors of Pemberley (especially the dress in the second picture which was worn by Elizabeth while she played the very same piano mere feet away) just made the entire thing even more special. What a day!

Chronicles of the Last Starman is a comic book written and illustrated by Gio Nostra. Signed with the message, "Thanks for your support, Danny! Remember to keep stargazing! -Gio"

[This is a fictional title and author I made up for the sake of the story. The original first two pages of this comic are based on an actual comic seen in the episode Kindred Spirits. I redrew them in my style, and the last panel shows that Danny put down the comic book to continue reading at a later date.]

(my favorite frames from that second one mainly because of the hand (had to remove the transitional layer in order to show the hand for the second one, enjoy the tiny bts of how I make stuff, layers are so helpful))

tbh I think I could do better on the first one (mainly the wings flapping upwards, I don't know how wings work <3), a shame that's the one planned for final use because of just how fucking good the second one looks. I do like how I handled the eye to make them go from their normal circular/rectangular to their triangular for Determined. Plus it looks like they're glaring at you (they are, they want you fucking DEAD)

Why are there two? I had two ideas for this "quick transform", that's all. Why are they a bit over the top? You spend enough time with Starlo you'd most likely gain a taste for the theatrics. For better or worse.

Anyways, design by @howlonomy. I swear I'll make that second blog soon, I just have a specific (and close) date in mind for... thematic purposes ig. Once I make it then I won't really need to credit/tag every single time because idk about you but this feels slightly annoying for me to do
