Yesterday was my birthday, and last night I had a dream where I was a soldier competing against other soldiers for a spot on Taskforce 141, and after I was decided as the winner Soap, Gaz, and Ghost took me out for drinks to congratulate me and get to know me more, and out of nowhere Ghost just casually dropped in a "Oh, by the way, happy birthday"

When the rest of us just stared at him because "how did he know that?" he shrugged it off and said he read it in my file when he was going over potential new recruits with Price, but then Soap asked if he'd memorized any of the other recruits' birthdays, and Ghost told him to shut up :)

I've been on Tumblr for over a decade and this is the first time I've ever needed to block/filter content so I wouldn't come across something that absolutely infuriates me and causes damage points to my mental health. People need to chill I'm very new to the fandom and I'd like to stay but holy shit, so much vitriol for a canon queer couple makes me want to cry and throw my phone into my computer and lodge both of them into my TV. Wtf.

All the fellows that want a breath of fresh air, and I'm talking to both sides of the 9-1-1 fandom, do yourself a favor and filter out shit you don't want to see and just fucking be kind to each other. What ever happened to not my otp but you do you? What ever happened to that's so great your ship is getting so much content happy for you boo but I'll stay in my happy space over here? Just watched the last season of rvb while sitting in my empty apartment waiting to move to another city. Those silly colorful guys were my friends for ten years, through high school and two degrees and so many life changes… its hard to say goodbye. But I’m grateful that we got to! Goodbye rvb and goodbye Roosterteeth. You’ll live in my memory 🫡

i wanna say it was in episode 3 after the boxing match when i was struck with the intense need to savor every second of mentopolis.

the mental image of a conrad driving with so much reckless abandon that the car is like half off the ground as it speeds away, hunch and dan bumping around in the backseat on either side of ivana who in comparison looks bolted down to the seats, money flying out and trailing behind them as justin hangs his head out the window...

all i could think was "oh this is the best." like the best. and while i do agree that 6 episodes is a perfect length for the season, what with them running at the speed of thought and all, i could also fully see them working with a 15-20 ep season just as smoothly.

and i don't just mean that as "this season would have been better with more eps" cuz tbh i don't think it would have been better, so much as it just would have been different. they could never make anything more and i'd still be satisfied. what i'm saying is that i think it'd make a great length as a second season.

which would be a great opportunity for brennan to flesh out the world elias lives in, while also allowing for more in-depth character development from the pcs.

this first season could act as a prologue to the world of mentopolis. and then the second season immediately kicks off with elias dealing with the aftermath in some way. maybe witness protection wasn't enough and now he's on the run from gobstopper industries. or maybe it was but now he has to learn how to adjust to living as a person with needs again after being alone and overworked for so long.

and as he navigates this new relationship, the attention from the press, the looming question of what now what next— we get to see how our prefrontal pis are doing as their lives were also flipped upside-down by this change in elias' life. cuz regardless of how positive and welcome a change may be, there is still a rather difficult adjustment period as you attempt to decipher where your place is in this new-normal.

when they go out to eat nene always orders off the kids menu because she doesn't like the adult options. actually the only person who doesn't order off the kids menu is tsukasa because he thinks it's embarrassing.

emu will sometimes just make cards for them, and slip it into their lunches. yes she breaks into the school to do this. no she has not gotten caught.

they play mario kart. tsukasa is the worst because he comes from a strictly wii sports and super smash bros house. nene and rui are the best bc they used to play together when they were little.

emu WOULD be a fucking beast at mk but she never focuses. ever.

rui is nb with he/they pronouns and nene is nb with she/they pronouns.

sometimes, after shows they'll go out and get ice cream

they perform an entire play to tell emu's older siblings that all of them are dating.

when they have sleepovers they all sleep on the floor. they seem like the type of people to do that idk

emu the mf to steal everyone's clothes

like at this point half the time she's just wearing their clothes.

they all take turns planning date nights

when it's rui's turn he usually chooses a night when the stage is closed, and make some sort of puzzle thing out of it. sometimes it's a murder mystery esque case, other times it's more like an escape room, ect ect ect.

emu's date nights usually include taking everyone around the theme park, or sometimes to other places like a park or something. it always ends with either ice cream or italian ice.

nene sometimes takes everyone out to an arcade, but she'll also organize a sleepover with them. whenever anyone talks about movies or musicals she adds it to a watch list, and rents them out to watch with them.

tsukasa probably takes them out to eat at a nice restaurant, but he'll also sometimes just do something small, like a walk or watching a local play.

i love them so much !! arhhhhh !!!
