and [name] getting along better with alhaitham in their teens... you are so right. they would.

i can imagine them fighting like this in alhaitham's home, and when [name] finally gets pissed off enough that they just leave to cool down, kaveh also retreats and stays in his room for a bit. but a few minutes later, when he comes back out, alhaitham is gone.

he left after [name], because a pissed off teen out wandering alone in sumeru and possibly sumeru's wilderness is unsafe.

alhaitham would validate their feelings more than kaveh would. he believes they should be pissed. he's not good with tears and feelings in general, but he is rather decent when it matters. and it very much matters when it comes to kaveh's mentally and emotionally wounded younger sibling.

i think alhaitham is better for them at this point in their life. and, you know, i feel like... in a way, he could help them learn to be less destructive. because also i feel like [name] is self-destructive in their own way, too. they get pissed and push away the people they love (aka kaveh). and they're hurting themselves in the process, but it's in a less obvious way than how kaveh is hurting himself (all the overworking, constantly doing everything for everyone, etc etc).

With Kaeya in his life, I assume that he's a lot more softer when it comes to emotions. Idk if Kaeya went to Haravatat at the same time Alhaitham did or if he joined the akademiya later (because he was processing their granny's death and Alhaitham couldn't because he was the older there and whoops look at that, angst potential) so I was mostly wondering if Alhaitham studies for longer than Kaeya or not.

Then I wanted to know how did the fight between Kaveh and Alhaitham go here. And what does Kaeya think of it.

What does Alhaitham think of the general mahamatra after the issues he accidentally caused Kaeya?

Q1: Technically, Kaeya does start later than Alhaitham purely due to age! Kaeya is around 22-23 (based on Diluc's age), while Alhaitham is in his late 20s (Kaveh is around late 20s to early 30s), and for this AU, Kaeya is only 13 when Alhaitham started in Haravatat (some math was involved based on context clues in canon hehe)

I'm saying technically because Alhaitham lets Kaeya read thru his books, so lets just say that Kaeya has a bit of a headstart due to him having seen the same reading material prior to entering the Akademiya.

He is not necessarily softer, but! He is younger when a loved one died, so coming to terms with it was harder. He still had support from Alhaitham (with no bad blood), so while he mourns, it's also not too bad.

Alhaitham does mourn, but not in front of his younger brother. He needed to put up a brave front for him. He does, however, come across the son of his father's friend. They have started a wary friendship...

They only get to spend a year in the Akademiya at the same time before Alhaitham graduated and started working.

‘Oh hello Kaveh! The others are not here yet so we can just chill for a bit.’ One of the fellow scholars—Nadia—said to the blond while seating herself next to him,kaveh greeted her and they both chatted for a little bit before getting prepared for the session.

Faint laughter and friendly discussion could be heard from not too far away,Kaveh happened to look up from his work to see a group of scholars sitting at the table near the shelves,they all seemed to be enjoying themselves with big smiles plastered on their faces while discussing their future plans-

‘We should go to lambad after this,my treat of course!’ a scholar requested with confidence. ‘Your treat? The way he was a little less talkative but not necessarily shy or insecure,his looks stood out to him as well,he had great features that Kaveh found it hard to not focus on the man as much as he tried to focus on his work he found himself slipping glances towards this so called ‘alhaitham’. While the others talked and worked Nadia noticed Kaveh was being a little quiet,then she realized what was going on

‘Oooouuu someone’s got a crushhhh…’ she teased him,Kaveh elbowed her- ‘I do not!
