How are y'all doing? I'm trying to prepare for many exams in a short time, which may be too ambitious and I may fail, but I still want to try.

I know my last experience with a season ending on a note everyone hated and unanimously tore to fucking shreds for destroying the story on every level was... atypical. Lockdown. 6 month mass hysteria at minimum. Conspiracy theories that were, like, real things we had on camera. There was a Twitter wedding. Creative fervor that broke 100k fics on AO3.

Like. I know this is not a rational point of comparison and I'm not going to expect anything in my lifetime to match it 🤣

But.

If that was the highest high of post-season fandom engagement built on a cocktail of tasting everything you ever wanted AND the absolutely lethal levels of spite and swearing to eat showrunners' hearts in the marketplace, then whatever the fuck is going on after OFMD S2 is the opposite of that.

OFMD S1 was a huge fandom explosion. One silly little streaming show that had a gay kiss and then it skyrocketed. Fic numbers were soaring, high activity fic and meta engagement lasted for at least four months, it was constantly trending and flooding the dash... Like, fucking hell, over a year and a half after the immediate finale fervor it beat Stucky in the top ships bracket?!? To the point I was willing to give it what felt like due credit toward its potential as a future juggernaut ship. Not guaranteed, of course, but the potential was there.

In that context, new content should be a blow out party. Which it kinda was pulling off as it was airing, but looking back now? Not even quite a month later?

The effect of S2 on the fandom is like... a blip. Possibly over already.

New fic numbers started dropping off the moment the finale aired and have returned to deep hiatus levels. It's dropped off trending and streaming leaderboards... I'm very curious to see the first tumblr Week in Review since the finale, though we're still waiting due to the holiday.

Like, I've even popped on to scroll a few Izzy hater blogs that I know loved the finale out of morbid curiosity what they were up to, and I'm telling you... if I hadn't just watched the new season I'd think they were still over a year into hiatus. Saw some standard bitching about the izcourse / Edward takes (aka the one thing that kept them going all hiatus), they're currently passing around posts mocking one specific long OFMD version of TJLC I'm just hearing of, the same BTS gifsets everyone else is thrilled by... But barely any new meta or discussions. There's like 2 people posting actual analysis of S2 that's getting reblogged and they aren't even names I recognize from the hiatus. Nor is it particularly interesting to read. 🤷‍♀️

In July of 2022 I could pop onto a random OFMD blog and scroll through a dozen enthusiastic Stede or BlackBonnet metas about jacket colors or that moth from 1x07 or lighthouse symbolism or whatever. Now the new stuff has the same energy as posts from June 2023. It's borderline dead. And this is what it's like when there's an active campaign to engage fandom and Renew as a Crew?

(I will say fanartists are bringing some energy and there's some lovely pieces being passed around, which I do think the Renew as a Crew campaign is helping to boost?)

Even the hundreds of people saying it was a beautiful season and they loved it so much don't seem to be finding it a very engaging or inspiring season.

It's such a turn, like, what the fuck.

As a fellow necrophille I don't understand how you don't understand that, zoophilla, and pedophilia shouldn't be compared to necrophilia. Very much not all paraphillas are equal, and some are very much more actively harmful. I understand if you'd like to dismiss my comment but I'd just like for you to give you your opinion. I also understand the struggles of having paraphillas but it's important to note more are harmful.

Pedophilia is actively harming a child who can develop trauma and suffer significantly due to being affected by these actions.

The same can be stated for zoos but in regards to animals.

Then on the other hand necrophilla is an action that is doing something to a body that cannot develop trauma nor be affected by the actions that are being done to it.

I feel like you can support them, but you should know that we are not equal. They are very much more harmful then us.

Reading this leads me to assume that you haven't actually read much of my blog nor what I stand for. I want to be clear of one main thing that is at the core of how I approach these topics; I am anti-contact (aka against enacting the fantasies of victimizing paraphilias, whether that is allowing harm to oneself or doing harm to others). I am also anti-contact for necrophilia as it does harm to the families of the dead and crosses over to doing things that could be harmful to people depending on what spiritual beliefs you have. Just because you, the person enacting something do not believe in their religion does not mean that you then should have the right to devalue their own beliefs they had held in life. In addition until one is able to provide substantial evidence that the beliefs of these religious people are false- it is better to simply not indulge. (Consent before someone dies gets more shaky, I personally likely would not indulge even in these circumstances due to the risk of disease as well as afaik it is illegal where I am and one form of physical pleasure is not worth jail time.) I also find it necessary to mention that in my case my necrophilia developed from my trauma. Part of this trauma was an abuser of mine, specifically a human trafficker, raping me using the corpses of those whom he had murdered. Though it is true in a vacuum, necrophilia would not cause harm, there are ways that people can turn any and all attractions into abuse.

I myself do see corpses as objects and no longer having the same level of importance as people. However, I understand why it is wrong to do things to people's bodies after they are gone when put in the context of modern society. I consider necrophilia in the first place to be a self-victimizing situation (when it is not paired with erotophonophilia as murder clearly is victimizing another and obviously wrong) as the one whom would be physically harmed via disease and illness is the one who would be engaging. The corpse cannot experience any harm that matters. The reason I then layer care and consideration for people's religious beliefs on top of that is because I also want my own wishes for my death to be withheld. Though I may not care what is done with my body in this regard for a period of time before my own burial or otherwise proper disposal, I would have wishes for how things should be when I am eventually properly laid to rest. Thus it is similar to other ills in society- we must give up our rights to do as we please with the dead in order to ensure our own rights to have our body treated as we wish.

Erotophonophilia has overlaps with necrophilia as well. In fact it is considered to be a subtype of specifically necrophilic disorder.

(wikipedia is not a good source in of itself but this is one of the most concise ways I have seen the current proposed classifications be broken down. I personally find the classifications annoying as it doesn't seem to accurately assess for specifics of types of attractions in those who are non-acting/non-offending side from classes 1 and 2, but I digress). The point of bringing this up is to be clear that yes, though the innate harm of most necrophiles acting on their attraction would be less severe than the rape of an animal or a child- harm to living people can in some cases be a part of it. That is not something I am into myself, but it does happen.

I do not believe I have compared pedophilia or zoophilia to necrophilia before aside from the context of them all being paraphilias and having the ability to be a paraphilic disorder. In this regard they are grouped in the same area of the DSM and as well sometimes have comorbidity or dual attraction so to speak. Everything I support and condone is specifically and strictly anti-abuse and anti-contact for anything that could result in harm. Bestiality, animal abuse, child abuse and pederasty are things that are inevitable to result in harm. I will not deny the severity of the issue if someone were to act on those desires, and I do genuinely believe that acting on either will usually be more harmful than someone acting on necrophilia as the damage done is to victimize another living being in a way to permanently traumatize them. This would possibly result in physical injury, permanent damage, mental trauma, or permanent changes to the victim's brain structure. Necrophilia can result in disease and pain and distress for the family of the deceased, which though still bad does amount to a lesser harm.

Pedophilia is not actively harming children. I understand that the term for our attraction to corpses remains the same as the legal term for acting on that attraction (something I hope some day will be changed) but that is simply not the case for Zoophiles and Pedophiles. Child abuse/rape/exploitation, and endangerment are the names of the crimes against children. Bestiality, animal abuse/rape/exploitation are the names of the crimes against animals. I believe you are conflating the criminal actions with the paraphilias which is something I like to avoid. I believe further separating the attraction as well as the paraphilic disorders from the crimes that occur when someone acts upon those desires or opportunistically takes advantage of someone or something will result in a better understanding for those struggling with their paraphilias and ultimately lead to more harm reduction in the long run.

What I do support is non-offending/non-acting and anti-contact zoophiles and pedophiles. I do not support people abusing animals or children, nor do I support those advocating to be allowed to do that. I don't support zoophiles like the people from Zooier than thou (or whatever that podcast was called) who try to claim that animals can consent and somehow like being abused by humans. I do not support the zoos who post sexual content of real animals whether that be just the animal or full on bestiality porn (which I believe should be illegal in the same way CSEM is as it is a form of animal sexual exploitation) I personally find feral NSFW to be disgusting, however as that is fiction that should be allowed to exist as it has no victims.

I don't support pedophiles who do things like NAMBLA. Any advocacy to lower the age of consent is deeply concerning and does not come from a good place. I do not support people who look at and consume real CSEM. I am someone who is the source of likely massive amounts of CSEM (I was the victim, my trafficking was often recorded or photographed). I know how horrific it is and how much worse it makes the trauma when there's CSEM out there of what happened to you. Trust me I am not okay with things that do real world harm.

Paraphilia is someone's mentality specifically atypical attractions. That is what zoophiles and pedophiles share with people like us. Supporting all paraphiles is important to make sure less people are abused. Acceptance and understanding helps people to be able to get help sooner.

I mean, if you were expecting it would make me alter what's on my own blog then... no. I post for myself, for no one else and sure it's really nice when people interact with my posts!! But this is my little corner of the internet where I can enjoy what I want. I personally would not have fun if I felt as though I was creating content with a certain audience in mind. So, if my blog contains occasional Dinbo posts including my own fics (which I'm very proud of) then that's what I'll do!

I truly am not interested in ship wars, in analysing what actors do or don't say or saying why or what people should/shouldn't ship something. I just look at what's onscreen. If you see it... great! If you don't see it... also great! I don't personally understand why people ship Din with certain characters, but I also don't go around telling people who post about them that... or try to drag anyone into ship wars by calling their ship dead or whatever.

I very much live by ship and let ship (I even ship Din and Bo with other characters myself) but if it's such a huge squick for you then I honestly will not lose sleep over you not following me.

Also... I understand disliking certain groups of shippers for what can sometimes be very understandable reasons but tarnishing everyone who enjoys a ship with the same brush, like calling them "the worst" or just flat out saying a ship is dead because maybe you personally can't see the romantic elements is veering into toxic fandom territory. Sorry for the wait! I’d like to preface this introduction with a disclaimer that it has been a hot minute since I’ve been on tumblr, so I apologize if I’m a little slow as things pick up for me again! I’ll leave some basic knowledge of Haru below and some basic plots that I’ll be adding to her connections page, so feel free to like this post and I’ll dm you! Haru was born in Pyeongtaek, but her single father stationed at the KATUSA base found himself unable to raise her on his own and had her guardianship taken over by his close friend who lived in San Diego, California.

She grew up with a silver spoon surrounded by a morally ambiguous conglomerate family.

Graduated with a mechanical engineering degree from MIT.

After joining her adoptive family’s corporation nepotism at its finest she worked with both companies who made parts of weapons and cars. Eventually being privy to more information than most she noticed the suspicious activity that she would later find out to be the illegal arms trade operation her father was running behind his companies. Hungry for both the praise of her adoptive father and power, she agreed to join him and his operation. From there she began designing and modifying guns, flying out to different countries acting as her father’s representative immersed fully in illegal arms trade. For years she didn’t realize the extent of her actions until she at the other end of the barrel she had designed. Upon realizing the blood on her hands her moral compass did a 180 and orchestrated a small arms trade ring that would catch the attention of someone who she could turn herself into and divulge her knowledge to. She had no intentions at taking a plea bargain at first, but eventually accepted through the coaxing of her then soon-to-be mentor at AEGIS.

Haru practically lives in the armory at headquarters, so she’s often found there or knocking back her fifth cup of coffee in the break room.

Upon meeting an agent for the first time Haru will often ask them to spar usually without giving context to better assess what modifications to make to their weapons based on their combat styles.

Her outward disposition is extroverted, eccentric and friendly. However, she does make a hobby out of finding and pressing the buttons of agents she finds “too stiff”.

An expert and perfectionist in her own field, Haru is most serious when it comes to weapons and weapon safety for the agents.

Basic plots/connections.

“Wreck it Ralph” — an agent who is a repeat offender of handling their weapons more roughly than others. The bane of her existence and someone she excepts to see after every mission to fix their weapons or equipment.

“Caffeine Fiends” — her partner in crime in the break room, someone else she often finds in the dead of the night at their wits end and on their 4th cup of coffee of the day. A low energy friend who doesn’t mind listening to her rant about weaponry jargon.

“Don’t press the red button” — An agent that she’s on less favorable terms with. Haru enjoys seeing what makes the stiff or stoic agents tick and this person in particular was a ticking time bomb. However they’re a begrudgingly good team and Haru can’t help herself when it comes to pressing their buttons.

someone who does “wellness checks” on her when she tends to stay in the armory for a few days at a time.

short answer? kinda. and you wont believe that tiktok does play a role in it.

okay. before we get right into it, a brief introduction to what the hell is blogging.

so, blogging. sounds ancient, doesn't it. well, it did started when we barely knew anything about the world. according to many other websites, has been defined as something that has been posted, where writers (or anyone else for the matter) can share their opinions on certain subject, mediums such as writing, photography or things that could be self-publishing online on a website, like tumblr. most people don't know that posting on your twitter, whatsapp statuses and instagram stories are considered microblogging.

see, the thing is, people think that blogging is dead when platforms like tiktok and instagram are thriving. but actually, said platforms are the reason why blogging is still relevant.

how come tiktok is the reason why blogging is still a thing?

well, when you blog, its basically just you posting about your day, what you eat, what activities did you do and so forth. it can be whatever you want it to be. there are various reasons as to why people are on tiktok. we were there because of covid.

while most of us signed up to tiktok when ms rona ruined things for us to join trends, share knowledge etc, others would share their similar interests. i remember being on anitiktok, and lord, when i look at the old videos, they were sooo cringey. but hey, at least we've made the most out of it during the lockdown.

other than that, the most notable side of tiktok would be... drum roll please!

so, what's the correlation here? how did tumblr and tiktok became the reason why blogging is still alive and breathing? what does booktok has to do with blogging?

booktok. for starters, is when users are to talk (sometimes they recommend) about books, rant about them, shit talk about how awful the story is (even goes as far as side eyeing the authors [*cough* im looking at you, colleen hoover]).

booktok is meant for people who are into reading. i mean, isn't it obvious?

so, yup. okay, not everyone knows that people go to tumblr to read self-published works of fictions. yes, reading a fanfic on someone's tumblr account on this website is still considered looking at someone's blog (and appreciating them like i do, i've been a loyal fan and reader of several authors on this site). people publish their works here is still considered as blogging because blogging can be anything.

tumblr started and has always been a site where people are able to blog whatever they want, in whatever form (text, gifs, arts, etc). as a result, users as able to look (and appreciate by interacting with the posts by liking, commenting and reblogging) at one's works because it also acts as an archive.

blogging can go from posting lifehacks, tips and advices for people to use as aids as well as to guide them so that they can relate, making them form an online presence.

so when i tell you that the reason why people are still blogging (and interacting with the blogs) because of tiktok, i meant it.

okay, so i mightve made a mistake. to clarify, booktok isnt the only reason why people are into blogging. anime fans, tv series fans like supernatural, movie fans, comic fans, animated fans like atsv fans (specifically miguel fans [aka me]) are the reason why people go to tumblr to blog.

people from all walks of life, specifically if their background is them being a fan of some type of media, is bound to use tumblr to either write a blog (in forms of fanfics/drabbles/oneshot etc) or to interact with them.

and that, ladies, gents and enbies, is the reason as to why blogging is still a fighting tooth and nail to stay alive. its the reason why people still use tumblr to blog. its the reason why tumblr is the place fans go to, to blog and do whatever they want on this app/site. sure, they go to wattpad or ao3 (hell, maybe even fanfiction.net if that site is still alive), but tumblr is one of the platforms (arguable the easiest one to navigate) to use for blogging and such.

and that concludes my opinion. blogging is still fighting for their life, even in the age of tiktok and whatever theyre doing over there (pretty much its vlogging, you know a video type of blogging)

long story short: he's undead

long story long (this is some real comicstyle whackshit) :

born to an rich (made up) swedish family (birthname is simon, we will get to that)

mom died birthing him

dad hated him for it

brother ignored him as he wasnt at home a lot but also never realized how awful and miserable Neros life was

ABUSE

very smart little guy

has a degree in bio chemistry and EXCELLED at it

but he also wants to make his dad finally love him (he got his degree so early and his dad didnt even acknowledge it)

so he fucked around with stuff he shouldnt have without telling anybody

blew himself up

(souls are allowed to witness their funeral and say goodbye to their loved ones) but there was no one, his dad didnt even hold a service

and finally something inside him just broke

he wandered the land of the dead for a while as he didnt want to go to the afterlife to face his mother (every single one of his family members shunt him till now, why would she be different yk?)

the land of the dead aint the friendliest place tho, but he adapted

after like a while (time doesnt exist there) he ran into the domain of the deity of revenge (one of the four brother gods of dead, the pantheon lore is not important just stuff I made up) aka "the raven"

stuff happened they fell in love (their ace) something something Nero becomes "the ravens dove" aka the ravens like avatar to act in the living world

this is where he really adopts the name nero

he becomes an anti hero whose really two faced

(to the heros hes a pretty silly lil guy and to villians hes a scary mf)

starts going on a real rampage against all form of abusers (specifically children) while juggling keeping his image in front of the heros

tho he keeps spiraling and spiraling he really isnt doing well

(also his brother is an hero and so is his fiance, neros real identity is under wraps and he stubbornly refuse to interact with them, the heros have... adjusted)

it all explodes one day and shit hits the fan

there are so many story threats after that point that I cannot all explain here but he will get help and his brother is trying his best to make up for everything

Jonathan Harker’s recipe blog continues!

I can’t tell if all these villagers loudly bewailing his fate is ridiculously cliche or if it originated the cliche, but either way it’s hilarious how Jonathan is mostly parsing as just really awkward. He is a tourist and the locals are very sweet but VERY weird and he can’t entirely tell if they’re messing with him?

All these scenic descriptions and I cannot shut off the part of my brain that’s apparently decided we need to compile evidence that we’re moving into a more rural, more superstitious, and more old-fashioned world. (And then from there into an untamed wild.) This book is activating my latent lit class instincts. I feel like I’m planning for an essay.

Honestly as an American it’s almost funny to have christianity be treated as superstitious rural mysticism. But only almost, because then I remember that this isn’t just christianity but catholicism, and discrimination against catholics right here in America used to be a vicious, widespread thing, and also racialized because what the hell isn’t here in America, and although I don’t know as much about how all this shakes out in Europe I do know the English in particular have a long and bloody history of oppressing catholics over in Ireland. And we’re back to the Superior Rational English Civilization theme that I am dead certain is going to come up in this book! I made it four whole bullet points without bringing it up!

Man I love the imagery of the coach stopping in the darkness. This little pool of lamplight at the mouth of mountain pass, the steam of the horses’ sweat, the near-giddy triumph of the other passengers and how it turns so swiftly to muted terror...our boy Jonathan sure does know how to conjure up a vivid night.

I appreciate that Jonathan regrets his choices. He may not understand what the townspeople and his fellow passengers are on about, but he also does not want to be here! Everything is very spooky and he is not enjoying it.

WHOOPSVERSE

whoopsverse is a world jointly created by some friends and i (@natyune-art, @catatonickeeper and alythea). it's an epic fantasy and it is also falling apart actively lore-wise because we all became Adults With Jobs who had some creative differences regarding what we wanted for the roleplay SO its kind of a free for all rn. BUT IT IS SO DEAR TO ME. it started out as an offshoot of the google plus roleplay community World of Alengra by derbybubblefish but it quickly became its own thing. i technically have a billion and a half ocs from this world but most of them are defunct/shelved for now (read: dead)

my two most active ocs from whoopsverse are vas and kiska

vasushri jilpa nuriya, aka vas, is a mortal girl who keeps getting reincarnated with the same voidkin attached to her soul. voidkin are minor gods who are born from the void, a nebulous sea of chaos. they are goopy fellas and can latch onto mortal souls to give them innate void magic. void magic involves portaling, hammerspace, and in rare occasions, shapeshifting into a voidkin. vas has the rare shapeshifting bond.

kiska, aka the godkiller, aka tempest, is a once-mortal woman, now immortal, who is blessed by the death god with immortality and great power. in return, she is to wander the earth exterminating rogue immortals. she's like a very specialized grim reaper.

kiska frequently runs into vas in her many incarnations and adopts her.

PROJECT STARSTRUCK

@ask-projectstarstruck (mine and @doeblossom 's poor abandoned baby) is an ask blog set in a world much like our own, except that magic exists! it takes place in a fictional college and follows two (or three? 👀) students. blog spoilers to follow!! (also, the concept existed before and continues to exist outside of the ask blog, lol). MY two (most active) ocs in there are austral and boreal

austral lucis is a college student at the university of lenton springs! she's a business major and communications minor who graduated valedictorian of her high school class, and got a full ride scholarship to this ivy league college not too far from her home. she's a huge stick in the mud and very VERY type A. her story revolves around learning how to be her own person instead of doing what everyone expects/wants of her. her college roommate is callista aka elise, @doeblossom 's oc!

boreal lucis is dead. no, really! she's a ghost, and austral's twin sister. through an uncanny twist of fate, or maybe magic, when boreal was stillborn her life force attached to austral, and her ghost grew up with her. austral is the only person who can see her, and ghosts/hauntings aren't really well researched in the world of project starstruck, so... austral has defaulted to pretending she doesn't exist, so that people don't think she's crazy. boreal is a silly goofy guy, because you've got to have some way to entertain yourself when the only other person who knows you exist pretends she doesn't. boreal's story is ALSO about learning to become her own person, but this time a lot more literally.

boreal is very protective of austral, the both of them having grown up with a mother that was very demanding and dismissive of austral's emotional needs. austral would prefer not to talk about it.

17-18 year old stereotypical tech/hacker/guy in the chair guy named mick simmons, technically a supervillain because he keeps committing minor cyberterrorism. his only parent was a supervillain who got arrested when he was like 14. he met leon online after hacking his animal jam account. so far he's the only one whose codename ive made and it's discord

18-20 yo main villain, kammie stoll, a deranged and unhinged cartoonishly evil young woman who leon is a MASSIVE simp for, and she is in love...with DESTRUCTION!!! NYEHEHEH

a registered dad-aged hero, brendan powell, so stressed about the fact that these kids are out here fighting, desperately trying to be a positive role model for/adopt them

a dad-aged villain, grant stoll, kammie's bio dad, they have a great relationship /gen, he is also trying to adopt all the kids because he respects their gusto and thinks they'd be great friends for his daughter

the wright parents, phoebe and cyrus; one of them knows about their kids vigilante stuff, the other is oblivious (havent decided which is which). theyre separated but friendly and have a rivalry going on about who the kids like more

the hero hq secretary, sandra flores, who has a power that "lets her type really fast" but actually its just legitimately a superspeed power and shes so cool and rad. she just lets people think she's Normal

milo pryce, mick and leon's third roommate that they picked up off of craigslist or smth because they couldnt afford an apt on their own salaries. he's pretty normal (or is he?) and just a background civilian (or IS he?) except that he's a doomsday prepper with a serious hoarding problem, but only in his room. very meticulous otherwise

and, of course, the REAL big bad evil guy: clarisse simmons, mick's supervillain mom. she's a very mysterious force for most of the story until the THIRD ACT TURN WHERE ITS REVEALED SHES BEEN THE MASTERMIND THE WHOLE TIME! or... something like that

THE WEAVER'S APPRENTICE

story MAINLY driven by @natyune-art featuring witches, betrayal, and mystery!! my character in there is named dijah

khadijah, aka khadi or dijah, is a witch. in this world, witches can see the strings of fate that surround a person and view, interpret, and/or manipulate those strings. dijah wanders the world as kind of a rogue, wandering from town to town with nothing tying her down anywhere. that is, until she arrives at a town where a string of kidnappings finally catches up to her location. a bartender she made sort-of friends with is the next to go missing, and she immediately decides to start investigating. while she's in town, she also meets auryn, a traveling performer like herself. he's extremely suspicious, but she has no real evidence that he's behind the kidnappings, especially when he agrees to help her with her investigation. drama! intrigue! romance! horror! whimsy! they have it all!!!

most recently and most clearly the subject of my brainrot, @doeblossom peer pressured me to make an owl house self insert oc and BOY DID I. ITS SO FUN. in addition to being besties with toh!doe, she ALSO has interactions with @mothsha 's toh oc myrna, and @blimate 's toh oc wynter. her name is sol

solstice finch is a teen prodigy. she graduated hexside at 15 years old under the potion track, and ended up succeeded in the emperor's coven tryouts, which she had entered by accident. she quickly made her way through the coven scout ranks and at 16 is a coven official a la kikimora. she's besties with doe and hunter :) her mentor WAS lilith, but after The Season One Finale... they don't talk for a while haha. I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY ABOUT HER BUT I'LL KEEP IT BRIEF: sol is THE silliest little guy. she's also basically a cat, we swear. shortly after hollow mind she defects from the coven and that's when she ends up meeting myrna and re-meeting wynter.

I am so fucking sick of this pro-para movement. And I am so fucking scared for the kids and even young adults who are a part of this. And, to an extent (especially the kids), I can't fault them. This is the PERFECT trap for anybody with low self-esteem. Have a disorder that everyone criminalizes you for and wants you dead? of COURSE youre gonna seek out like minded people in a little echo chamber bc it makes you feel good. Still fucking sucks it's as big as it is though.

when people say "zoo/necro/map dni" or whatever the fuck they mean just that. not just the "offending" ones. You know why? BECAUSE YOURE PROUDLY PROCLAIMING YOU GET OFF TO THINGS THAT CANT CONSENT. This is the BIG issue with "pro-para". I am 100% for more education on these disorders because YES, THEY ARE DISORDERS and they can't be controlled (aka, you can't just "not have it" anymore.) This would make anyone feel alone and alienated. This is also a stupid fucking argument. I have never seen a radfem talk about paraphilias. Even if they did, so what?? That does not change the fact that animals & corpses & children cannot consent. When people are "anti pro-para" I can 99% assure you they are not talking about the guy who's reeeeally into shoes. They're talking about the "big three". Also, a paraphilia, by definition, is a sexual attraction, not romantic. This is like those zoophiles who argue "but we fall in love with our pets romantically!!" when really it all comes back to sex. Can there be people who "fall in love" with their pets?? sure. But zoophilia is, first and foremost, a paraphilia, which is a SEXUAL DISORDER.

The thing is, like, I'm so pissed off not just at how gross this all is, but because I SEE WHY IT IS HAPPENING. It is BECAUSE we, as a society, offer little to no education and help to these people. So of course, to feel loved and accepted, they're gonna create an echo chamber with themselves and promote this activity and normalize it. Yeah, I hate pedophilia and zoophilia and etc as much as the next guy, but I also recognize the people who have these disorders didn't ask for it, and I do genuinely feel a level of sympathy that they got dealt such a shitty hand. All of this is NOT an excuse to enter that echo chamber and be "proud" of your disorder. Nor is it acceptable to act like you belong in the LGBT COMMUNITY. That's fucking sick and tears down the hard work our community has done to NOT be associated with pedophilia and the like.

I am especially scared as it is growing, and so more kids are getting groomed and conditioned into this stuff. Also those characters don't age. like, if you liked a 13 yr old character when you were 12 and still like them when you're 19 then like.......r u supposed to just stop.
