So I was playing the storyline quests and found out what happened to Zelda and my first thought was if she is the light dragon who the hell are the other 3 and I'm pretty sure they are like Zelda since mineru was talking about how swallowing the stones turns you into a beast and you lose your self like this is a given fact which I took to mean this has happened before. And I am much more interested in what the hell happened to those 3 people who became the dagons

made the mistake of clicking on the "for you" tab and saw the worst dragon age text post I have ever seen. It was like "man, I hope Bioware goes back to exploring [idea they thoroughly explored in all 3 games] like they did in Origins. I just know that they're just so obsessed with [idea that has been the main focus of everything from the very first cutscene of Origins]. I'm so sick of it."

This is what 10 years of not actually playing any of the games and playing them in your head is like. 10 years. I think some of you guys need a break. I know it did me some good.

I'm still so mad about the Wyll rewrite actually

#like on top of how shitty it is that larian chose to listen to the vocal racist part of the fandom calling wyll boring/aggressive/etc #it really fucking sucks that i will never get to know what the real deal was with wylls revenge quest #i was SO CURIOUS bc i was certain more of his quest would play out in act 2 and 3 w the goblin vengeance stuff #like his utter hatred for spike?! who took his eye??? HOW??#and now its oh yeah he lost that eye in the dragon fight.#how all the other goblins KNEW him or at least OF him and they had this history #i wanted so badly to uncover wylls backstory with the full game.#and instead they rewrote it. so I'll never know.#like the revenge quest angle is so fun to me! love Astarion's revenge quest on cazador for that reason #and like i just wonder what could have been #wyll could still have been out to get karlach and that all stays the same #but the goblin history and revenge quest could have played out alongside it too #like WHAT did the goblins do that pissed him off so much?#and his moral compass is like the same so u know it was something horrible #like ok wyll signing a pact to save the city kf baldurs gate ok yeah yay #but wyll turning on the goblin gang he was fighting with and signing a pact to save 1 young boy from a goblin raid hits different

oughh i wanted to do a cute laishuro take on the blu ray extras (what if laios had been eaten instead) but lets be honest. they absolutely would not have made it as far without laios

#they wouldve died. badly.#unfortunately ive lost the link saw it on twitter but i think laios gets knocked unconscious and imagines that it had been him that got ate #and not falin. and falin is the only one to advocate for them going back #but no one wants to go along with her presumably because they dont care for laios that much #(or at least this is laios' perception as this is just his imagination)#but also because she doesnt know as much about monsters and couldnt come up with a good argument for going back in #<- didnt know about prolonged digestion in red dragons and marcille assumed the interval was the same as in humans (1-3 days)#BUT...................... when everyone leaves falin turns back and goes in herself. and laios realises that shes always been that sort #of person and theres no point in ruminating over what could have been.#now. i want to believe that had they known falin would turn back without them. that at the very least shuro would have gone in with her.#theres no way he would have let her go on her own. and frankly i dont think he would have assembled his retainers #to go save laios rip...#marcille would have gone if she had known falin would turn back. and honestly i think she mightve known her well enough to guess this irl #anyways what i was GOING to say was maybe as they venture thru the dungeon shuro gets to learn more about laios thru falins view #maybe they get to know each other more and he opens up more about how he thinks of laios and like. falin is able to explain more about him #diffuse tension and give him a better understanding. like yeah hes still annoyed at him but he has a better view of how laios is #they get close and become better friends but maybe it also helps falin make up her mind and let him down gently............................#and maybe they go and save laios but the dragon thing still happens to him #and its again a 'you felt like that all along??' situation irt him wanting to be a monster but it turns out ok and they (laishuro)#open up to one another in the end.........................#but. again im gonna be real. they would not have made it that far LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO laios the goat for real

Honestly I really want to be able to side with Solas in dreadwolf. I think it'd be super interesting to play as an elf in Tevinter and be able to just go "yeah actually I think Fen'Harel is right let's tear down that veil." I mean I assume the main conflict will be Solas trying to convince your character to join him, or your character being told they have to try and stop him, and there are not enough games that let you side with the presented "villain" character. I want to see what the world is like with no veil I'm so interested. Also so interested to see what full-on Fen'Harel Solas is like. Is he still as empathetic? Or is he more conniving and distanced from "mortals" like the old stories would have us believe?

#side note it's been a hot minute since I've played trespasser I've been obsessed with origins and anders and justice recently ok #i don't have super high hopes cause bioware sucks ass #Idk if they'll have the balls to introduce the player to that level of moral nuance #i just think it would be fun and cool to have some choices on the final outcome #*with the main villain character I should say #instead of 'player character who is awesome hero defeats evil mean bad guy'#i feel like the past games have always tried to paint a very clear target of who the 'bad guy' is #when in reality that's rarely ever so simple #i want a story that lets you decide if you actually think the bad guy is bad or not #and then lets you choose what to do about it instead of directing you to kill this one guy to save the day yknow?#and I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to explore that #and I mean we did get this is 2 if I'm honest #there's not really a singlular villain #you can choose if you think the mages or the Templars are right and side with one or the other #dragon age dreadwolf #fen'harel #solas dragon age #i just like complications in stories that make decisions very hard #make solas the players friend or something again make him seem like a person and not an evil mage entity bent on killing everyone #maybe I'm just tired of how often the writers have done moral gymnastics and tried to swap it around #to make it seem like actually the mages should all be locked away and treated like shit cause they're all egotistical maniacs #and that the Templar/mage issue is a both sides have a point thing when it is clearly not #maybe I just want them to direct us towards taking the side of the oppressed instead of the oppressors for once #Hope you enjoyed my longish rant I hide in the tags as usual

just went into reading dragon age 2 trivia again and i know they only had like 16 months to make the game, but im still sooo mad that fenris and anders just. never get over their biases against each other. especially anders? the guy thats all about justice can not in 10 years of friendship learn that slavery is bad and that fenris is a victim of abuse? anders???? are we talking about the same character?? like fenris' aversion to magic and towards mages is at least loosely comprehendable. but. anders? youre telling me anders would spend 10 years being cruel to fenris and merrill about things he can ENTIRELY relate to? you're telling me fenris can not - in a friend group with like 3 mages - learn that mages are literally actively going through the same systems of abuse as he did for most of his life? you are telling me that neither fenris nor anders would see themself in merrill??? not blaming merrill for anything though, she didn't do anything wrong lol
