Hazbin Hotel x Helluva Boss Theory: Blitzo Is Adam's Reincarnation (Well, Half-Reincarnation....) Part 1

[Note: this will be for Mature Audience Only also only read this if you had watched all the episodes of Hazbin Hotel Season 1 and even some of the episodes of Helluva Boss, of course reading this will still be optional. but NO little kids are allowed to read this post. also this might get a lot off topic, even if thee theory about Blitzo and Adam is still mentioned...which is why I'm gonna break this into two parts...reading this post is Optional, only read this theory if you want to.]

before I get to the very weird theory, about Blitzo being Adam's Reincarnation, I want to say all this first....I think maybe there should be a separate type internet kind of like a "Kinder-Net" but it is more of a App, where those under the ages of 15 are to use until they are at the right age to get on the internet, like a safety precaution, with how some parents are and believe me some of them are Gray-Parents....

and some Gray-Parents have no sense when it comes to what is or what isn't age appropriate for their own kids, since half of the time they don't watch them and make sure they don't see things they aren't ready for, and parents shouldn't just scapegoat Mature Shows, Video Games, Movies and Books if their kid happens to see it by mistake even when the mistake might fall on the parents who says it's "okay"....

it's not the mature items at fault, at least I know that from remembering that someone who was old enough to know better than to let me watch it, had let me watch a movie I shouldn't of watched when I wasn't close to being old enough for it....

I mean, we did rented it from some old video shop in the first town we use to live at. but even though I own a DVD version of the movie now, and I still love the movie, but it doesn't mean it was okay for the one that my Mom trusted, to let me get that movie when I wasn't even very close to being old enough to watch it.

but I'm pretty sure someone would of had to cover my eyes during some scenes at that time...

but the point is, the Movie isn't at fault. it was the one who let me watched it, and yeah I may have misremembered before that it was Mom who let me, but it was a much older cousin who did, a different one from the one who is half of the reason I got that first depression in 2015...

I seriously didn't need to fall into a second one that may have started many months later around perhaps 2016, and that took a bit longer for me to get better, and one of the signs I was getting better was from how I was laughing at a funny scene from Boss Baby...of course after I did get better, at some point either it was 2017 or 2018, I ended up getting sick and throwing up...and of course during that time when I was getting a bit better from sick, my First Cat was getting ready to leave us, and I ended up a crying mess....

and yeah if my Second Cat ended up not getting help on time, and if anything went wrong when they were at the vet...if it were possible, I would start Omnigeddon by freezing and having it snow a lot in the 5th Heaven & 5th Ring of Hell. well with how Toxic-Masculine some Eon-Boomers are, they would of had it coming.

they chose to fight instead of healing and fixing the balance between the Masculine and Feminine, and over the freaking centuries the infection that the Masculine has, had gotten worse, even if the good side of the Masculine energy is able to to still fight back that Toxic-Masculine energy, it doesn't change the fact that Mr. Morningstar had played a part in that mess, because he, those who sided with him as well as those who were fighting them, had to choose their Masculine side over protecting Omni-Mom and making sure both she and The Feminine wasn't hurt, and yeah technically the Feminine energy ended up infected, it isn't as high or as dangerous as the Toxic-Masculine, but it doesn't mean it still isn't a problem and it can still be fixed even if it might take a while to get rid of the Toxic-Feminine energy.

of course the Toxic-Masculine energy will take MUCH longer, so help me one of these days, I am going to freaking tackle Lucifer and give him the cold hands to face punishment.

the whole Jesus Vs Antichrist fighting may not be helping either, when it crosses a line and may actually do some form of Domestic Abuse To The Feminine side, I can still believe in Jesus, but if he is possibly involved in something that had happen, well it might have to do with the Toxic-Masculine is influencing him, I mean one of my theories is that what we know is "Hell" was actually part of the Earthly Queendom before it was placed under quarantine from the rest of the Earthly Queendom, because it was infected somehow, possibly by the Toxic-Masculine energy and some kind of miasma.

well if the Goddess was also some unseen force in both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, for all we know, it could be Sera's fault that Omni-Mom got hurt as well as half of her Queendom that became The Pride, Wrath, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Sloth and Envy Rings went from how they originally were, which had all Princesses rule them until they were forced out and had to live in the non-corrupted part of The Earthly Queendom...well it does seem Sera does keep a lot of secrets, so her keeping such a big secret would mean she already knew that the evil was her own doing, because she allowed something to get past and enter the Divine Feminine half's domain, and turning a green and beautiful place, that may have had crystals and gems all around, as well as possibly fairies that would later become Imps...

into how it is now, and many years that go by, the Imps and Hellhounds and other Hellborns, forget who they were originally, that they were not always "Hellborns" that their Ancestors were more than that, and they were descendants of those who were suppose to be part of the Earthly Queendom, and their Ancestors were unfortunate to be caught in the cross fire, where their forms had been slightly changed, the Imps lost their fairy wings, even if some do end up having wings, they are not the same as the fairy wings.

the reason why some Imps have white scarring like Blitzo and Fizz or white birthmarks or like freckles like Moxxie. it might have to do with the whole possibility that in Ancient Times, Imps were all a snow white color and they had their fairy wings as well.

the Hellhounds were possibly Guardians and Knights, some of which had important jobs to protect the Princesses of each Ring.

yeah that is a weird idea and theory, but such a idea might only end up in the Fanon Timeline, which I'm okay with.

anyway now to the whole Blitzo and Adam theory.

okay, if some have watched Adam at his final moments, you will notice the bruise on his eye, is on the same side as the scar that Blitzo has, and well Adam's horns do seem like the same shape as Blitzo's even if it isn't colored the same.

it could be possible that Adam, had a love for horses much like Blitzo.

like when he wasn't being a jerk and think he is Sera's Gift to Women.

he would get all big sparkly eyed when he hears or sees a horse, which Lute could find annoying.

Adam would probably act that way if in the middle of the fight against Charlie and her friends...

a horse just comes out of nowhere, and it is the same type as Striker's horse. and Adam stops fighting and flies over and ends up being in awe with the horse.

everyone on both sides (expect Lute) would be very confused.

Adam: I'm going to rip you apart you-*says before is cut off by the sound of a horse, his eyes get all big and sparkly and he looks to the right side of him and sees a black horse with a flaming mane, eating the dead body of one of the Exorcist Angels*......*Big Gasp*....?! HORSEY!!!*he then lets go of the person he is fighting and flies over to the horse.*

Lute: Adam?! what in the 5th Heaven, are you doing...?!!

Adam: Lute, look how bada** this guy is, he is so AWESOME, he has fire for a mane! can we keep him, Lute...?! PLEASE?!!

Lute: Sir, That Beast is a Hellborn Fauna, we can NOT take it home with us! it should be dead, on the ground like the rest of them.

Adam: *lets out a gasp before taking the horse by their head and hugging it to his chest as if it were his child* don't you dare, I'm not letting you harm Adam Jr.!

Lute:......Sir, No...you, you only known this beast for like a few minutes or seconds, and you already named it, Adam Jr....why even name it after you...?

Adam: Lilith wouldn't let me name our first kid Adam Jr., I mean yeah she came out a Girl, but it could of still worked....she did go missing though, she even sleep walked a lot, and could do some freaky things like moving a rock with her mind. once me and Lilith saw her do some freaky magic when she used some kind of golden glow from her hands to close a cut on a rabbit in the Garden Of Eden. the rabbit ended up bouncing all over the place and even followed her around, for some strange reason, animals from the Garden, really seemed to love her......she spend more time with them than she did with me and Lilith......I don't think she liked Lilith very much, she would always flinch and hide behind one of the bigger animals whenever Lilith got too close or glared at her in disapproval.

Lute:...........*eye twitches*

Adam:.........what..?

Lute: Sir, your and Lilith's daughter had used HEALING MAGIC and the whole her moving a rock with her mind, that was freaking TELEKINESIS! how is it you never figured that out before...?!

Adam: I thought it was just what kids do at that age, but my and Eve's sons never showed that kind of abilities, so I thought only girls can do them, and they couldn't because they were boys.

Lute: I'm not sure if that is the case, but from how you described how your and Lilith's daughter acted when Lilith got too close or glared at her.....don't you think, that your daughter may have been a empath...?

Adam: my little princess was NO Imp Path, how is she even a road for Imps....?

Lute: NO, not that kind of.....*rubs the bridge of her nose, everyone has stop fighting at this point and are watching the scene.*

*after taking a few minutes to take some calming breaths in and out, Lute speaks once again.*

Lute: Sir......a Empath is someone who can pick up the emotional energies of others, either being fully aware of it or not, your first wife, Lilith....was possibly giving off some very VERY bad energy that was scaring your daughter and causing her to seek the comfort and love of the animals in the garden, was there any sign that told you, that she was scared of Lilith...?

Adam: she would have me pick her up and carry her, and she would hide her face in my shoulder when Lilith was around....she would even say that "Mommy's Scary." also some stuff about how her Aura is scary and is full of bad stuff......our daughter was like 4 years old at the time, so I thought she was just seeing things or that she had a nightmare. I did comfort her, and told her that Daddy would protect his precious little princess.

Lute: *blushes at how Adam seems to love his and Lilith's daughter but shakes it off...*Sir, if your daughter went missing. why didn't you look for her...?

Adam: I did, but Lilith didn't even bother to help, I asked her to help find our daughter, because she was only 4 years old when she went missing, both me and Lilith were arguing about what to have for breakfast, and we only looked away from our little girl for a few minutes but after Lilith won the say on what we eat, I look behind me and notice that my little princess was gone.

Lute: and how did Lilith react...?

Adam: she didn't seem to show any sign of caring, I had honestly....cried my eyes out, I was so worried for my little girl, I didn't sleep for days when trying to find her......the first four days of searching, I got tired of Lilith not helping, so I asked....no, I demanded and yelled at her that she needs to get off her lazy butt and help find our daughter, who might be lost, scared and hungry or even worse, hurt and not able to get back to us......but she is all like, "if she is anything like me. she can take care of herself." I mean what kind of MOM says that, even if we let our daughter be around animals a lot, doesn't mean I didn't still keep a eye out for her to make sure she was safe, half the time while Lilith also took care of her the other half....no, it was all me. who had to take care of her, while Lilith did whatever she pleased, she didn't bother helping when our little girl hurt her knee! that cold hearted selfish bi-

Lute: Sir, you.....you really loved your daughter. she was your world, she even had abilities that weren't fully understood by you or Lilith at the time, but you yourself, still loved her. Lilith was probably jealous and resented your daughter, because the animals in the garden loved her so much, and she had the power to heal and had empath powers that made her see Lilith's jealously and resentment to her.

Adam: yeah.....I truly did. but if she had to grow-up outside the garden alone, which means I missed her growing up into a young woman....if any guy even so much as looked at her funny, I would make sure they couldn't do it again......cause no one touches my little princess, no one is good enough unless I make sure they are and they don't ever hurt her, cause if they do.....*holds a angelic spear*

Lute: where did you get that? I didn't see you with it when we left for-

Adam: I will use this on any guy who dares break my daughter's heart.

Lucifer: I tried doing that! but my wife stop me from doing it!

Charlie: Dad, you tried to use a angelic weapon on Seviathan...

Lucifer: and I will do it again, if he so much as try to hurt you again.

Vaggie: I'll help.

Charlie: Vaggie, don't encourage him!

Lucifer & Vaggie: *fist bump, making a silent agreement that they will go after Seviathan if he hurt Charlie again, to which Charlie herself sighs and shakes her head while saying under her breath "you guys...".....*

the fight ends up continuing, after Lute promises NOT to harm Adam Jr. and make sure the Other Exorcist Angels do the same.

then Adam ends up dying, and some point his soul goes through a type of process where it is split into two halves, one being with his original personality and memories, and the other ending up forming into a small ball of golden light and shoots up into the air before going around the Pride Ring and to a Circus and into a tent.

Months Later, baby crying is heard, and Half of Adam ends up being reborn as Blitzo.

the other half, that still looks like Adam but in Sinner form, regenerates because Niffty was never given a angelic weapon, which I still don't think angelic steel is a real angelic blessed weapon, and might of been some kind of anti-life substance that Sera possibly smuggled into Heaven, and lied to Adam, Lute and everyone else in Heaven, and called those weapons "angelic" when really they aren't and are anti-life steel.

if time passes differently in both Heaven and Hell in Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss, it would mean it could of taken YEARS after the events of the fight at the hotel for Blitzo to form his I.M.P.

and if Adam did have a daughter who was able to use telekinesis and was a empath, and she was lucky to grow-up outside the garden and ended up having descendants that would end up meeting and marrying Cain's descendants...

well Blitzo could of inherited those feelings, and he not only saw a bit of himself in Loona, but also the feelings of wanting to protect her and make sure no one hurts her.

Adam might be a butt-head, but for all we know he could of had a soft side and if he did have a daughter, she would be the center of his whole world.

also I had fixed the best I could on that last post that has to do with the theory that Lilith NEVER went to Hell, and she had made a deal to stay on Earth, and let Eve take her place...

I notice some spelling mistakes, and had to fix it.

the theory doesn't have to be liked by everyone, or even agreed that it might be true.

but if the theory is true, it would still mean that it was Eve who fell with Lucifer, while Eve's sons were being raised by Lilith & Adam.

the reason why no one notice, was because a part of the deal, had Eve's form changed into Lilith, and Lilith's form into Eve.

the disguise that Eve had as Lilith, only disappeared as soon as she fell, it could of been during this time, that Lucifer found out that Lilith had switched places with Eve, and had purposely made a deal that made her not go with him into the world they fell into.

Eve may have told Lucifer what happen, and the reason why she couldn't say anything, is because the one who Lilith made a deal with had used a silencing spell on her, which would only break once they both fell into Hell.

Eve and Lucifer may have started out as friends, and it could of been Eve who comforted Lucifer, who cries in heartbreak after what Lilith did. over time, and many centuries of being together, and Eve having to use the name "Lilith" to hide her true identity.

both Lucifer and Eve fell in love, and then had Charlie years later.

and yeah in a type of plot twist way, if Adam did find out the truth many MANY years later, that Lilith purposely caused his second wife to fall with Lucifer, he could of had Three Exorcist to bring Eve back to him. and yeah at some point, Alastor falls into hell, and Eve meets him and they make that deal of him disguising as her if anything were to happen to her and if the Three Exorcist do succeed in taking her back to Adam.

but for all we know, Eve isn't the only one that Alastor made a deal with, and he may have made a deal with Lilith as well, who owns his soul.

Eve could of made a deal with Alastor, to have him be married to Lucifer as well, and be her double if she is taken back to Adam, and part of their deal would be that he is free once Charlie is old enough to live on her own and be the embodiment of hope that sinners need.

and in a funny way, it could turn out 7 years ago....

when Alastor was still in his "Eve" form and talking to Eve, when The Three Exorcist came and didn't know which one was Eve, so they took both of them....so Alastor spend 7 years in Heaven, and trying to avoid the advances of Adam who was so happy to see his Eve again.

it could turn out that the Three Exorcist did try to make a grab for the real Eve, but she got away and has been in hiding for 7 years.

like it could turn out that one of the Exorcist did have a hold of Eve, but her trying to fight back and even reach out to her double that was really Alastor, and him surprisingly doing the same, but during the struggle, Eve fell and landed the same way some Sinners did when they fall into Hell.....but because Eve was still alive and a type of Immortal (even if not fully Immortal...) she ends up dying from the fall.

so instead of her getting away and being in hiding for 7 years, she had died thanks to those Three Exorcist, and Alastor is a eye witness to it.

he ends up feeling guilty, because even if he did make a deal with her, they may have grown close, and it could turn out that Rosie knew about the deal and she also was good friends with Eve, and it turning out that Rosie was another person who knew Eve wasn't Lilith, so both her and Alastor would be the only ones, besides Lucifer, who would know this big secret.

anyway Alastor ends up being taken to Heaven, and he has to try to keep Adam from making moves on him, while he tries to find a way to get back into Hell....his deal with Lilith could of involved his escape, and whatever the deal he made with her so he can leave and go back to being in his original form, it may be something that involves something so big of a secret, not even fans can figure it out and can only come up with fan theories.

the reason why Alastor seem so into taking out Adam, might have to do with what he was put through when he had to pretend to be "Eve" and was trying to keep away from Adam and try to escape.

before The Three Exorcist came and got "Eve", Alastor may have still helped co-parent Charlie, by switching places with the Real Eve who went under the alias "Lilith" to hide the truth from her daughter and the rest of the Pride Ring, with only Alastor, Rosie and Lucifer knowing the truth.

even if Eve knew she might be taken away at some point, she wanted to be prepared, so she had Alastor help around and hide from both Charlie and Lucifer, when he isn't in his Eve/"Lilith" disguise.

if Eve did die from a fall, she may have came back in different form but has amnesia. maybe Zestial, and having never had children before over the many centuries, even if he does turn out to be like a father figure to Carmilla's daughters.

Zestial could of not only found Eve, but also took her in and adopted her as his daughter, and it could turn out that Eve didn't fully remember her name, and she tries to, but parts of her name and Lilith's name come to her mind...

like it could ended up like this...

Zestial: what is your name, can you remember that...?

Eve:.....it's.....Ev....a....Lith....?*her head hurts trying to remember and she holds her head in her hands.*

Zestial: Evalith, that is a unusual name. but still very lovely, fine then. from now on, I shall call thee by the fair name "Evalith" and I will protect you as if you were my biological daughter, and even if you are no longer a child, and you are a full grown woman, I will still adopt you as my daughter, I will get the Soul-Kin Adoption Contract ready, you just rest, Evalith...

*Eve now going by the name "Evalith" looks up at him and nods*

a Soul-Kin Adoption Contract, is different from the Soul Contract where like a Overlord or a Ruler like Lucifer and the other Kings and Queens of Hell, ended up owning a Soul.

a Soul-Kin Adoption Contract, is just a idea that pop into my head when thinking about the idea that Zestial finds a Eve that has amnesia, and ends up adopting her as his daughter, and even giving her a new name that is "Evalith" even if it comes from her trying to remember her name, but she just remembers parts of it along with Lilith name, to which she also used as a alias to hide the truth that it was never Lilith go fell with Lucifer, because the Real Lilith had made a deal so she wouldn't be punished.

The Soul-Kin Adoption Contract, is when a Hellborn or Sinner is adopted, the said Contract would also allow a child Sinner to age, even if they might age much slowly much like Charlie might of aged much slower during her childhood before she finally became adult.

so if there is like a lot of Sinner children in Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel, one of the ways they could grow and age, would be if they end up forming a Soul-Kin Adoption Contract, and end up being adopted by new parents who are either very powerful Royals or Nobles or Overlords.

Zestial might be the oldest and ancient being in the Pride Ring, so he may of known about the Soul-Kin Contract for a super long time and that it can be used to protect innocent souls that end up wrongly cast into hell.

Zestial may have seen it time and time again, and he could know that half of the time, children who do end up taking Sinner forms in Hell, were never meant to be there, they are only there because of their parent.....which is a cruel sense of justice, paying for the sins of their parent.

Blitzo could have no memories of being a part of Adam, but he could still show a little bit of traits that are like Adam, even parts of himself that he hides from others, and only opens in front of those he is most closes to....like Fizz and Loona.

Adam could of spend many nights crying to himself when Lilith and Eve (even if Eve did not do so first of her own free will, and it was because Lilith made a deal to switch places with Eve, so she herself didn't get punished...) had left him, and he could of been scared of dying alone without someone there who loved him.

this shows in Blitzo, who had went through a pretty much not great childhood...even if he and Fizz were best friends, even Fizz didn't see everything that Blitzo was going through.

and I do think that it could be possible that Fizz getting hurt by those fireworks, wasn't Blitzo's fault. it was likely Barbie's fault.

Blitzo may have accidentally caused the fire, but he couldn't of placed those fireworks under the table, it was table right...?

anyway, it is possible that Barbie was always a problem, and not just from her little business in the human world, she likely was hiding the fireworks because she was planing to sell them, and that could be part of the reason why she didn't want to see Blitzo, the other part being that the love letter might of been from her, that she had made Blitzo take and tell him to hand it over to Fizz.

Blitzo couldn't bring himself to give Barbie's love letter to Fizz, and in his heartbreak he accidentally caused the fire.

both Blitzo and Barbie had feelings for Fizz, but Blitzo loved his sister, and was probably bullied into doing what she wanted, and what she wanted was for him to give the love letter she wrote to Fizz, to the Imp himself.

yeah even if I may have a small crush on Fizz & Ozzie, yeah I'm weird, and I can still have a bit of a crush on Garrus Vakarian from Mass Effect.

but even I know that it could be possible that Barbie, isn't Fizz's type.

like even if we don't fully know what sexuality and romantic identity is.

even if by some chance he is Demisexual but like being Biromantic.

there could be a chance that Fizz isn't really into girls in the canon.

like in Fanon, he could be Demisexual/Biromantic, but in the canon well who knows, we will have to wait and see.

I mean, Moxxie did confirm he is Bisexual.

and for all we know, Fizz could turn out to be Demisexual.

I mean I still think it is possible I may have been Demiromantic, ya know before I started to use gems to protect myself from picking up some energies, like your you but at the same time you pick up energies from others that are just flying around the ethereal air.

like I had bad luck with the guys I had liked, both in real life and online. and well, at some point I got tired of it, and hated how this one guy I met before online who I only remember a little about, but not his name....but he just didn't seem to get I wanted to be alone half the time, like we met on some game, but it may have seem like he thinks I should go and be with him when I didn't feel like it, I mean I guess I did try to be there and hope that I can still have some time to myself, plus it just seemed like he didn't care about the stuff that was getting to me, and any chance he may have had with me had went down the toilet. I know that I don't remember much about it, it might of happen before those two depressions or before the second depression.

all I know is that they seem a bit too clingy, and not in the cute way, but it just seem that way. I mean even friends and everyone else know that at times, I need to be alone and will try to make time when I'm able to. I think at some point, if I was Demiromantic that was going through that whole absorbing energies I didn't know I was absorbing....maybe my romantic identity was changing, or maybe I was always Aroflux, who knows....but I know that right now, I don't want to try to get a human boyfriend right now, and rather stick with CGI, 3D and 2D husbandos....

plus it could be possible I'm a type of Gray-Aroaceflux, like I can still be interested in romance like watching it in a movie or show or seeing it in video games, and even pick which love interest for the character I'm controlling to romance.

I don't know many who might feel or think they might be a bit more around Gray-Aroace, even if they might use the "flux" part less or like only once in a while. maybe I should make a flag for myself, that has to do with me being Gray-Aroace.

anyway back to the whole theories...

if Adam and Blitzo were once one and the same, it may have been the human half that would come back as a Sinner, while Adam's Angel half that was cleaved from him, but was still him, but had split from him, not in the same way where only a tiny piece of a soul fragment splits from a full soul, which if the soul fragment ends up becoming their own person they would be the child of the soul they had broke off from and on rare times will a soul fragment end up being merged with another soul fragment that came from a different soul.

the soul fragment will grow, and possibly during it's first days and years alive, will appear as a child, like starting out as a baby, then a older child and will grow over time until they become adult.

anyway while the human half of Adam became a Sinner, the Angel half ended up being reborn as Blitzo, who got to explore a bit more of his sexuality, something Adam never got to do, who I still think was in the closet but Sera made sure that Adam never fully figured out he was into guys as well, that is why she made sure he was around Lute and the other Exorcist Angel Girls more...

even if it does turn out both Heavenborns and Winners have different type of sexuality and romantic identities, don't mean there wont still be one of those who haven't fully accept them.

Adam could be seen as not only the "First Man" (who technically isn't, because I still believe it could be possible there was a Patriarch-Adam that lived a long time ago before him and the one who is from our universe, and Adam is possibly one of the first hybrids, cause of the whole Annunaki messing with the human DNA, and they mixed Annunaki with the DNA of Homo-Erectus, and thus making the hybrid that would be known as Homo-Sapiens, but not everyone has to agree about that theory.) but Adam is also The First Himbo.

the reason why Lilith and Eve may have put up with him for so long, may have been because he had his Cute Idiot moments.

yeah because I didn't want to forget what some stuff I learned about my family ancestors, I make sure to write it down.

and well I should organize it a bit better, maybe take what I have and place it in a type of book....but yeah, it turns out that Cain is my Mom's 116th Great-Grandfather from well my Mom's Dad side.

A lot of people are surprised that a guy like Kiryu could be into guys, but honestly Kiryu is the type of man to put more importance into who someone actually is instead of their gender or their genitals. He's been on dates with hostesses who were actually lesbian and has a pretty good understanding of homosexuality and has a pretty neutral approach to sexuality. He won't really slap a label on himself. If he thinks you're a good person, then he thinks you're a good person He's straightforward like that.

Having said that, Kiryu never really expected to date a man who is also a hostess. Honestly, Kiryu didn't expect to date anyone anyways given the fact he's taking care of a lot of kids and that he always gets caught up in stuff with the Tojo Clan. Perhaps that lack of expectation is what makes him so open to dating a man though.

Kiryu isn't a super jealous person because he's very mature but he's not immune to the possibility. Given how popular you are as a host, you'll be out on after hours dates, doing escorts, and working a lot of shifts. Don't get it twisted, Kiryu is proud of you and supports you, but he can't help but feel a little jealous on nights where you're out rather late with a client.

He didn't expect to care that much and at first it didn't bother him. However, he can't help but notice the glances you get when you're out together, from both men and women alike. It becomes very clear to him that you have that 'it' factor, that you strike that balance between feminine and masculine in a way that others can't help but notice and admire. Perhaps that's what also drew him to you, but Kiryu is very aware that he is definitely not the only person that's drawn to you.

Kiryu won't burden you with these thoughts and feelings as he's rather good at sorting them out himself, although you'll catch him blushing a little when you wave hello to him when he picks you up after a long shift. Saying things like "Aw, you didn't have to wait out here for me" make him blush even harder, to which he will deflect with a very calm "... you literally asked me to pick you up after work." which only makes you giggle, which only makes him think about how cute you are which only makes him blush even MORE.

And so the cycle goes. You know exactly how to get to him and he won't admit it but he loves that. Kiryu's a complicated man with an even more complicated life and having a partner than just gets him like that is something he really relishes in. Your naturally flirtatious energy and confidence combined with the fact that you never bat an eye at who he is and what he's been through makes him all warm and fuzzy inside. He's so used to being the stoic one but you stop him dead in his tracks.

I mentioned Chica having a 'true' personality before and didn't elaborate on that did I? Well...

The true personality is formed as the animatronic in question (the animal ones at least) find a balance between their two programmed personalities that works for them. From there, it develops and grows as they do, and over time, it usually contradicts both sides of that programming more and more.

For example, Roxy is programmed to be a feminine hair stylist, but over time, she tries as much as she can to present more masculinely while gradually losing interest in fancy hair techniques. She wants to give little kids cool hairstyles, yeah, but often times neither she nor the child have the patience to sit through the process that long. The hairdressing thing has just gotten a bit boring to her after a year or two of running the salon and she wants to try new things, which she's not programmed to do. The hairdressing has been put on the backburner of her mind for her while Fazbear Ent still sell it as one of her biggest interests

Monty is programmed to love golf but after doing the same golf course for ten plus years, he's bored man. Instead, he likes stacking the golf clubs like a giant jenga tower and building his own little golf courses with playing cards, a cup and whatever random junk he can find. He's only supposed to like the official golf course, but its more fun to make his own little card castles and to glue cardboard into hazards and what not to play around.

Like, their true personality is who they really are after all the programming contradictions and faults, and it's something they grow into over time. When they're introduced to the public, they usually have a small part of that already that's been created from the result of all the contradictions and what they've learned so far.

So when Freddy and Monty made their debuts, Freddy had learned to stay in his lane and a balance between his extroverted character and his introverted bear side that worked for him, while Monty had learned to avoid what will break him and a partial balance of being a loud character and a chill alligator. These things aren't programmed into them, they're what's come about simply be existing and learning by themselves and that's what their true personality is.

What do you think of the main duo's color schemes both having black? I've heard some people say that they how the duo's schemes not only share a color (black) but also have opposite colors (red for the ladybug and green for the cat), to it shows that well the two are different and opposites they are still linked. What do you think of that idea.

Honestly, visually Cat and Ladybug don't appeal to me as a duo color coding wise. I will give them that they are counterparts in terms of color in Chinese culture, for with Wu Xing, red represents Fire and black represents Water, which backs them as opposites; but it doesn't make for an appealing colored duo.

At least to me. The big thing about doing a colored duo is that it comes down to preferences, especially when doing something to represent yin-yang and you don't want to stick to that black-white color scheme or direct color opposites.

One good alternative that could've been done is the iconic red and blue, with Plagg being a very dark blue, which could've had him reference not only the Bombay cat, but a Russian blue.

Red and blue are an iconic visual match that represent opposites that are similar, warm vs cool, action vs thought, and both can be intense and work in similar ways but not exactly the same.

Otherwise, there are better visual counterparts to do.

With Plagg, white kwamis would've been aesthetically pleasing, specifically Rabbit or Mouse.

With Mouse, that can fully reflect them as opposites, as not only is Mullo more white/light grey to counter Plagg's dark body, but she has ruby pink eyes to counter his green. A color coding like this can reflect a more rivalry aspect to yin-yang, often portrayed between Dragon and Tiger; where they are equal in their rivalry and unable to defeat the other, but constantly circle each and keep balance in their strife, evening each other out. This also could work as a nice nod to the old Chinese Zodiac legend, adding history to this pair and reasoning for them as a duo.

Now Cat and Rabbit would visually be a yin-yang pair that could better reflect opposites that are similar, with them being black-white, but Fluff has minor blue details to her and Plagg has green, which in Chinese color meaning, are very similar. If you want to tie them to the west and for an extra bit of fun, they can also be tied to black and white magic, both of these animals tied to magic in different ways, black cats with witches and white rabbits with magicians. There's also a lot more symbolism to work off here too, rabbits are tied to Easter, new beginnings, and life; cats have been associated with spirits and the dead, escorting ghosts to the afterlife. Cats are independent and brave while rabbits are sociable and cautious. And you can even still tie that early theme of luck to them, with lucky rabbits foot.

Now on Tikki, visually, her best counterpart is Duusu.

They have the appealing red-blue colors, and everything about them visually is an opposite. Tikki has dark blue eyes while Duusu has light pink, Tikki has white sclera while Duusu has dark, Tikki has dark spots while Duusu has light spots. To add to it, Tikki even also has tail feathers as a reference to ladybird. So, to me, visually this is a peak color coded duo.

And there some things you can do to make them work as a pair. They would be coded as a he-she, with referring to Duusu as Peacock and Tikki as a Ladybug, which yin-yang does cover feminine and masculine traits. Um... tying them to Chinese culture and playing off ladybird, they could be a split up Fenghaung, which before it got tied to being a dragon's feminine counterpart, it was a bird duo to represent yin yang, one male and one female, a ruling pair over all birds. And in terms of powers, Tikki could represent the material plane while Duusu represents the spiritual, Tikki could also represent the mind and intellect while Duusu represents the heart and emotion.

The latter of that though is stretching things and just working off canon; unfortunately, in terms of symbolism and mythology, the Ladybug has the least amount going on with it out of all the animals tied to miraculouses, coming down to just luck and love. You can add divinity to it as the Ladybug has direct ties to the Virgin Mary (their names directly come from her as they were called the Lady's Beetles) and is thought to be a servant of God, both in service and in delivering divine intervention, but that gets a little dicey when it's supposed to be tied to Taoism and represent yin-yang.

But that's just coming down to my preference visually. Over all, not just visually, Cat and Ladybug just aren't appealing to me as a duo. Especially knowing that their creation is more based around the west and European views, with Ladybug being very present in European culture, and the Cat that's supposed to be more negative only really stems from Europe, and it's not even that old of a view for unlucky black cat (roughly 400 years ago).

Billy is nonbinary in the way that he uses he/him and is steves girlfriend, in the way that she uses she/her and is steves boyfriend, in the way they use they/them and is steves partner. (they use he/she/they with no preference)

he feels less gender fluid in the way their genders fade and increase. it's more like they all exist at once inside her, she just has a preference that changes day to day.

billy spells his name "billy" when he feels masculine "billie" when she feels feminine and "bill" when they feel more in the 'middle'.

Steve was terrible at trying to decipher how billy was feeling, if he should treat her more feminine that day or masculine at first. but eventually, he picks up on patterns; 1 earring is normally a masculine day, 2 studs is a 'middle' day, dangly earrings are feminine days.

billie is a dress type of girl, despite popular opinion, she likes feeling dainty and pretty. light yellows and blues are her best colors, but she isn't against pink or green.

On more feminine but not girl days, he likes dress pants, like those classic sorta flowy straight-leg pants. he pairs it with a sweater or nice button-ups and a vest. it's feminine but balanced.

masculine days he keeps to his canon style.

as she gets older and more comfortable in his identity and dresses less to prove a point and more just as they want to; the styles merge, finding a sweet spot between his metal head style and his want for dainty femininity. he takes up skirts, skinny jeans, darker colors, and so many accessories (she likes leather and metal, so think belts, garters, harness, belt chains, other body chains etc.)

she joins in on girls night, goes shopping with heather and chrissy, and gossips with joyce over cafe at the nicer cafes in hawkins.

steve takes her on date nights and makes sure to take her dancing. he hods the door for her, pushes in her chair, and pays the bill.

can and will kill heels, you'd think they've been wearing heels since he came out the womb. she has ankles of steal and can full on sprint in heels.

steve spoils her and gets her the nicest bralettes and underwear, cause he likes to wear them even on masculine days. his baby gets lace god dammit.

he and max rant about gender at 3 am, cause its a struggle ok, some days its not fun and your confused. they rant about having shifting opinions on their body, not knowing if they feel comfortable in it or if she wants to get surgery ad start hormones. max complains about not being able to really understand how she feels, and how it makes her uncomfortable.

billi does settle on getting implants, small ones, as she is nervous about how she'll feel after. steve makes sure to support him no matter what, and never pressures a choice out of them. she ends up loving them though and definitely flaunts them for steve all the damn time

coming out hc's

he came out to robin first, its super awkward cause they arent super close, but he's heard robin talk about how stupid the gender binary is so he knows shes safe. she helps him gauge the possible reactions are and gain the confidence to come out.

Second is steve (they've already been dating for a bit btw), he nearly starts crying as he chokes out a mess of words that roughly translates to 'sometimes I feel like a boy, sometimes I feel like a girl, sometimes I feel like neither. sometimes I'm more of a boy than a girl, but I'm not really a boy. sometimes I feel that way but like a girl. sometimes I feel like but in the middle... makes sense?"

As robin said, steve is super supportive, confused, but supportive. he has a lot of questions, but with billy also coming into his identity, he doesn't always have a response. they learn and grow together, steve helps him test and find his wants, needs, and boundaries in every direction. he makes sure billy feels loved no matter how he presents, that steve find him just as hot masculine or feminine. steve is actually more worried about not being supportive enough for billi than then he's identity (in the way that he isn't bothered by it, billie is still the person he fell in love with, things are just a little different.)

He's not as nervous but still needs some support coming out to max. he explains it to her the same way he did steve, and at first, she looks so conflicted he nearly breaks down, thinking she doesn't accept him. It was actually the opposite. She throws herself at him and just says she gets it. It takes some self-exploration with the help of billy, but she finds she's also genderfluid. They're super close after he comes out, on a completely level than before.

He comes out to the rest of the younger group (the teens and kids) after max, max literally threatening anyone to test her or billy and that they will end up in a hole if they say the wrong thing. The kids are a little hopeless but very supportive. They do their best to use the right names and pronouns. Billie thinks it's cute, how they go out of their way to compliment her with very gendered compliments. He appreciates the effort. The older teens are very casually accepting; things don't really change. They just use their pronouns and make sure he knows they don't view him differently.

(this is a long one, sorry) He's most nervous about coming out to Hop, he's in the guy's custody, and he still has the feeling that one wrong move and he's out. he tries to tiptoe around Hop, hides the new clothes steve got him, won't paint his nails or wear makeup around Hopper, always thinks of a million excuses before doing something in case Hop catches him. Despite this, Hopper isn't an idiot and picks up that something is wrong. He asks him one day at dinner when they're alone, and billi flips. She starts apologizing and trying to get to his room, saying he should just leave. he manages to get outside and to his car before Hop can calm him down. He speeds to steve's house, loses his mind once steve lets him in the door, and is inconsolable for hours. It takes days for steve to be able to convince him to tell Hop. He understands why his partner is scared but doubts Hopper would kick him out or disown him over this ("baby, he has a daughter who can move stuff with her mind, will's neck tingles if somethings wrong with the upside down, he's fine with all of us being gay. I promise, everything will be ok"). billi trusts him eventually and they meet up with hop. Hop is so supportive, less cause he actually knows whats going on (he loves his kids, but he does not get anything they have going on quite honestly ever, he's a tired old man ok, he's trying.), but because he loves his kid and the thought he was so scared to come out she ran away for almost a week hurt him. he hugs him so tight, not letting go until they're both done ugly crying.

"you're always going to be my kid, no matter what you little shit"

hopper's surprisingly good at the pronoun thing. He asks how billi's doing every day, makes sure everyone (whose safe) uses the correct name and pronouns, and covers for billy if anyone says anything about him in public.

joyce is a mom. She basically knew the second billy 'accidently' wore her perfume. He didn't really need to come out, she just adjusted to it, and he had steve and robin loosen up with pronouns around her, so she knew. they've talked about it, but it was less of a coming out and more just getting on the same page.

SD: Prince - 2017 World Championships, Helsinki Finland

Here we go it’s time for the VM fandom favourite!

I can only speak for myself here and what I’ve seen others say- this is certainly way up there with the fave VM SD/OD’s- maybe with Farrucas- like it’s the Farrucas of the comeback. (Imo Farrucas is in a league of its own). I’ve already said SFTD is by far my fave SD, maybe program all together, Prince just isn’t quite it for me, especially in comparing the two from the comeback. However I can certainly see why so many fans love it- not to say I don’t, it’s just not my fave. So in this break down I will explain what I love about it, highlight some of the details, but I also be honest about why it’s not my fave- it mostly has to do with the rhythm/s in general and how hip hop transfers to ice- not necessarily this specific program.

Firstly let’s do a costume appreciation:

T’s catsuit is iconic! A lot of times with their costumes they are very simple, but sometimes they have costumes where I find either together they don’t quitttteeee match- which in a weird way I love, and then differently but also in a similar respect there’s a tiny bit too much going on in the one costume. There aren’t too many instances of this second thing but that’s what I find with this catsuit- there’s quite a lot going on but it all works somehow. The flesh leg cut outs should clash with the purple lace, but for some reason they don’t. I don’t know what else you could have if the cut outs weren’t there, you would think plain black would work just fine and not clash but the cut outs are maybe my fave part of it. It’s a weird concept but it’s amazing (and I’m not the biggest fan of mathiu’s costumes so this is a big complement). She wears it so well. I remember them saying that in creating this Prince themed SD that it was finding this delicate balance of masculine and feminine fluidly between the two of them and I think with her costume they really achieve that both in the way she wears it and the way Scott interacts with her in. His costume is great too, in contrast to her’s his is very simple. I firmly believe his simple aesthetic is both a comfort and confidence factor for him as well as not to distracting from T because she is his star and its his job to make her shine (his own words). While the all black and silhouette of it is simple he has kinda of stepped out of his comfort zone here with more sparkles and adornments with that first one then his new one for worlds was even a step up from that (personally I prefer the first one though).

Just before we jump into the program I’m gonna give some appreciation to the pre dance ‘let’s do this/you got this kiddo’ tushie tap!

What’s really sweet about this is it was different every time. At NHK it was more on the side of the leg before she turned around and was kinda softer. When you know what was going on in the background- personally for him/them at this comp you see everything differently and understand that Scott was just so emotionally distraught and wanted nothing more than to just look in Tessa’s eyes to know everything was gonna be ok. So this little tap was so gentle and like a little ‘thank you for taking care of me’ and acknowledging all the strength she was giving him to be able to get through this.

GPF was more ‘swaggery’ like ‘oh yeh we got this’ after she’d turned around like an actual tushie tap to hype her up. There’s no shame here in saying this is TESSA’s DANCE! So every time there’s that little tap tap! there’s always a sense like ‘you got this and I’m gonna be here every step of the way helping you shine’ ✨. The vibes were similar at 4CC, but I would say a bit cheekier. The hands rubbing together and the scrunchie smile then the tap is just so precious like ‘oh yeh let’s go’ like he’s almost giggling. Lastly I’m using the one from the practice at worlds coz the performance is kinda hard to see, again every time slightly different but always the intention is that ‘you got this kiddo’.

I won’t say it’s pure functionality of the tushie tap but how they set themselves up- he sets the position- T waits for him to stop then steps in and as they turn around she sets herself using his hips to line herself up. Seen obviously in the practice one they don’t use that adjustment to pull themselves together to touch, but it’s just to know spatially their positions, and so the tushie tap can be both these things of hyping her up and once she’s set he can feel where she is also. There’s nothing ‘dirty’ about it- I really hate when people overly sexualise their interactions. It’s functional and a little connection moment for them and that’s great!

1. Opening

So this just got progressively better and better all season to the point here at worlds it was just fire 🔥. If you compare this to SCI or NHK it’s light years difference. It’s not that earlier on it looks like they weren’t trying/putting enough energy in, or worlds was too much, it was more finding the right dynamics. Earlier on their was less bounce in esp T’s knees and upper body. It was a bit more ‘posing’ where as here she was more in the groove of it. I love how this last time, that very first movement she does they changed that to her facing left and Scott comes out from behind her (it looks reallllllyyy good in slow motion). It got way better with the voguing/whacking style. Hip hop is difficult for those not naturally suited to it (in TS’s case having a strong classical foundation its harder to let go) and then even harder to do on ice, so it’s really great how in this opening they were able to really quite convincingly move in that style with their whole bodies- not letting the ice be too much of a limiting factor.

This opening sets the tone of who’s dance this is. This is T’s dance- she has to own it right from the start. It’s such a testament to their superiority as a team that they can have programs that can be completely both of them are the focus (sometimes this can be both and switch throughout the program, eg MR), programs that are more Scott’s, and like with Prince the focus is T- but throughout all those different things, Scott is always going his job in showing T off, it just varies in different dance styles/stories. And no program is weaker or stronger based on who is the ‘main dancer’ in it. This was a common thing in ice dance from the late 90’s/early 00’s and even in TS early senior career that there were quite a ew teams where every program it was the gild doing all the hard stuff and drawing the attention and the man was just there to lift. Other teams the girl could’ve hold the attention and focus where she should in the partnership.

What this opening also does is it really sets the tone of the program in general. I made a post in the early days of this blog around the time of the olympics where MB was the set style (same as this season so hip hop, blues, jive, swing, etc were optional styles along with the MB set pattern), highlighting my issues with hip hip being an optional rhythm. As I stated above it’s a difficult style to both transfer to ice and a difficult style in general if your body/s don’t naturally move that way. By the time the Beijing olys came around there was more variety in the ‘hip hop’ genre but in the 16/17 season, it being the first time it was used for a SD, there were mostly very generic ‘hip hop’ styles and music used. Lots of ‘top 40 hits’ and just very typical songs, costumes and ‘dance moves’ when you think hip hop. I said in that original post that it really shows just how few ice dancers are natural ‘dancers’. This of course varies between each viewer and which team/s connects with you- a team I feel aren’t natural dancers/ aren’t feeling the music may vary to your taste. Hip hop really shows who isn’t musical and doesn’t have a natural rhythm about them because unlike ballroom where the form and musicality is more strict, in the steps if one partner is weaker that can be hidden, in hip hop its very obvious who doesn’t have that natural feel and in some cases which teams are really over doing it. That’s why I don’t like hip hop being an optional rhythm. In this 16/17 season especially among the teams dancing ‘hip hop’ it became so much about the ‘hip hop’ of it all and less about the skating. Of course what I’m gonna say here is how VM are the exception to this and it’s because of a few things: They are naturally musical and they both have a natural movement to them. Hip Hop is certainly imo not their natural style but they chose music and a sub-style of hip hop that worked for them. Where they could still have their posture and arm carriage. Another thing is they can move phenomenally both together and separately. This is super obvious in comparing the non-touch step sequences where in other teams the arms become very robotic and the facial expressions become very rehearsed. The last thing is the music they chose- specifically ‘Kiss’ the first song, isnt a typical ‘hip hop’ song, either if you’re thinking of the hip hop style of the 80’s/90’s or currently. As I said in the first point it met the hip hop requirements of rhythm and style, but was specific to they moved. They were in control of the program, they addapted it to them and their strengths where as most let the style own them. (Here’s some links to more info about ‘waacking and voguing styles if you aren’t familar with them and how they fit into ‘hip hop’ as a dance style). Just quickly to finish, i said what made VM both stand out and not be overwhelmed by the style was they chose something not so broad- they chose a more stylised take on hip hop, in the 22oly season I feel this got taken a bit too far to the extreme edges of hip hop and to the point where it was really just ‘free style’ (esp the majority of the top teams). Same thing with the plethora of complaints about the abuse of the set pattern requirements (which I’m sure partly read to the removal of the set pattern all together coz just no one was doing it properly the judges were too busy being paid off in back room deals to care (rip ISU judging) (compulsory/ set patterns dies with VM don’t @ me).

I’m also just gonna give a shout out to one of my fave bits of VM commentary which is from the BESP uncles: 20 secs into the program one of them says “Well they’ve won it already for me”. 😌😌 And I also love how the audience starts clapping in time immediately!

2. Dance transitions, style, perfomance

Something really significant about this SD is all the in between moments between elements is what makes it so good. The elements themselves are all phenomenal, from the way they work with the music and and the layout of the program, the way TS perform each of them and blend them in to the performance as a whole- not just checking them off as they go, and of course their technical superiority. But in studying this program what really makes it amazing for me is all the in between moments getting into and out of each element- so much so that you don’t really notice the elements until they are already it them (in the best way possible)

This all starts as soon as they begin travelling out of the first opening dance break. What imo makes them so good beyond examining their skating skills is their ability to actually dance everything they do. I’ve said hat before but I find it particularly obvious in the SD considering what I’ve just said before in regards to my issues with this being a rhythm. In full competition video on YT, in between groups when the ice is being resurfaced, the camera cuts to TS practicing back stage- the specific part they are practicing is after the NTMSS, and you can hear T say ‘dance this part’. So thats so important to me that they are thinking like that- a) because I just love them for being dancers and actually fulfilling the ‘DANCE’ part of the sport, and b) that they are reminding each other of that- to really dance and perform.

So you immediately see that dancing as soon as they start travelling. The way they just ‘sit in the pocket’ of that beat and hit every 4 and 8 count with a head or hip or accent in their knees. The choreography is also just really intricate- like I think that is really overlooked- even for me from a dancers perspective I can usually pick up on those more subtle moments but only just now studying it a bit more (say compared to SFTD which I’ve watched over and over and over) I’m picking up on the small moments and their interactions together- that actually how I like thinking of their programs sometimes, esp from the comeback- that they are really having these interactions and conversations through their movement. I don’t know how much this (the dance detail) is really valued in the judging- probably not as much as it should be, but it’s so much harder then it looks to skate with the difficulty that they do then put all this really intricate choreography on top of that.

I mentioned with the costumes earlier that focus they had on the contrast between the masculinity and femininity in this program, and how the choreography, costumes and them interacting with each other plays into that. There’s a little moment in this first section as they come towards the centre/front, it’s right on/after the lyrics ‘turn me on’, they face each other- look each other in the eye, then so sensually she puts her hand on his chest, she looks away and he caresses her arse as she twists to the right and he looks to the judges. As I said I hate when people over sexualise what they do as if it’s some tease and they are playing into some kind of game. NO. It’s the style of the dance, it’s the choreography, it’s them dancing together and putting on a performance, nothing more. I love this moment because it plays right into what they said about exploring the sexuality of the movement and style. They can do something like this and not have it be cringe (by cringe I mean him feeling her up for the sake of it) because of their trust and confidence in one another. The confidence they have in each other and in their own performance to be able to play with the judges and the audience in a moment like this. It’s what so many great performers do- like Prince himself- he flirted with the flow of sexuality in his performances and persona. That TS feel they can explore that together artistically is what puts them on a higher level within their sport. She owns it like she loves it, he owns it like he loves it, and the fact is it’s such a quick moment you barely notice it. Also musicality of this moment is so great- so they hit the sharp 4 count, then long and drawn out over the next two counts- so working with the syncompation of the music. You listen to the lyrics in this first song and again without distastefully over-sexualising each other, its this very subtle thing that sits within the body of the program. Its more in their eyes and musicality- rhythm m together rather then big showy, obvious moments.

Then as they continue moving across the ice to get into the NTMSS the phenomenal musicality continues. I just love the syncopation and intricacy of those jump steps then intertwining each other before starting the sequence. Also how can you NOT love that moment where he looks to her and kinda teases her and she slaps his face to the side. You just know they love that moment as well- she loves “slapping” him and probably loves her slapping him (you know they’re just cute and flirty like that). (Also this version isn’t the best angle for all these moments so I’ll link all the other versions below).

3. NTMSS

So here’s were I’m gonna contradict myself a bit on this quite niche hip hop style they had, because as they get into this midline chore there is a bit more “hip hop” (typical) kind of arm movements. This isn’t a bad thing i just don’t want to catch my self out saying it is wholey this one niche hip op style, there defiantly is that groove and loose groundedness throughout this first section (Kiss). The beat part about this step sequence for me is the musicality. The syncopation, hitting the beats, picking out parts of the music you wouldn’t think to. When the change to face each other/aren’t doing the exact same steps as in the first half, contrasting those quicker, more on every beat steps by playing with the music and using more drawn out glides. There is such a connection between the what the upper and lower body is dong- it’s not like skating on the bottom and ‘dancing’ on top. This is essentially just really good coordination but agin in the style and feel of the music rather then generic chore and musicality

In saying this is T’s dance does not mean Scott can take a back seat- he owns it just as much as she does. This program is great because it really lets their individual personalities shine while complementing each other brilliantly. This step sequence gives them the chance to show off their different styles- T that collected, sensual confidence and Scott that more cool and casual style. What hodls it all together is their equally brilliant skating and performance skills, musicality, and that you can feel they are so connected and talking to each other almost telepathically.

Another thing that’s really evident and I think underrated in this program as a whole, but very clear here is T’s confidence. That’s a subject I get into more so in a future post but this being the first program of the comeback- the SD is competed before the free so the first look at their new material, the confidence she has to be out front for that whole midline doing the most technical section of skating in the program (yes she is often at the front of these) with that confidence and showmanship but also so relaxed and assured is really underrated and beyond the entertainment factor just a really important thing for her that I think should be recognised in looking at an overview of their career- their journey and body of work.

4. More dance transitions, ice coverage, playing with the judges/audience

This moment after the NTMSS is when in warm up T says to really ‘dance this part’ again its so obvious how much they feel the music and sit in the rhythm of it. So intricate and flirty. I think the ice coverage they get from that moment in the back corner to when Scott does the knee slide is crazy- in that warm up Scott also says to really’ travel forward on this part’. It could be the angle of the camera but it looks like they travel about 20/30 metres with just a light push off, then actually travel with lots of interact turning/intertwining steps, idk it’s kind so intricate I can’t really break it down beyond saying its just really cool.

Speaking of cool,the knee slide is very.. honestly the first time I watched this and he put his hand down I was like ‘oh shit!’ Cause I thought it might be counted as a fall/wasn’t sure you could do that- but I guess it must’ve been allowed with this being the style that year. I love this moment how they seem to just unravel from each other then suddenly Scott is down on one knee and T is out stretched in a fouette type jump just holding hand to hand. There’s a lot about this program I cant really explain because I don’t know skating terms/steps and its been forever since i trained hip hop- not that that would really help because this is so stylised and individual to them.

The spread eagle glide he does while shifting between hips. Is crazzyyy.. Like some of the stuff in this program is so subtly showy and kinda… party tricky- like more so stuff you would see in an exh/show program, but the fact they manage to work it in so seamlessly to the SD for that matter- the “technical” program not even the free is so cool. I don’t really even know how he does that move so cleanly, then after that the kinda ‘pivot/spin’they do together after that, at different times throughout the season the leg what higher and sometimes lower but either way its really cool.

Then finally the drop. I like both versions- at first when he had her on had by the shoulder and she arched back, then here at worlds is was more of a dip, similar to the MR ending. The eyebrow moment is just fantastic. I keep think with some of these moments in these comeback programs, some of the things they do if I could imagine them doing pre comeback- like its not a confidence thing becuase tehy were always confident skates, but I think they just allowed themselves that freedom to really perform and go for it- truely hold nothing back, so its not that they couldn’t- say for example Scott do a moment like this pre comeback, but it just so unashamedly now. So the eyebrows and then the…what ever that is. I’m not gonna talk about it like how some objectify them-I’m just gonna say yay them! Its like with the ‘neck kiss’ moment in SFTD, I just think it’s so cool, whether they/she knows its coming or not/ I feel strongly Scott just does it in the moment (like with the yell in Carmen at worlds- its just spontaneous) that they can do something like that so confidently- T just lets him do that can keep their focus and be so into it.. I just love it and I admire them so much for these spontaneous moments. It makes the program feel so alive and in the moment for all the tireless rehearsing they have to do fun things like this make them feel more human and in the moment.

5: Transitioning into MB

I’m not gonna gif this part but I just want to say how much I love how they interact in this program- and that really what’s happening between the drop and then getting into position to start the MB pattern, they’re obviously still skating- but it’s not as though they are just filling time between elements. Getting to where they need to be. They are really dancing and playing with each other. It’s super sexy but also very playful. I love the way they play with levels and shapes- Scott with a high arm then T throwing her’s up, turning to each other then to the front- so including the audience in it/playing to the crowd. So often in their programs they are so focused on each other yet somehow at the same time manage to include and project the audience- without necessary playing directly to them in an overly rehearsed/choreographed way. This program is a bit different where it is more sassy and flirty and it’s appropriate to kinda react to each other then look out to the audience/judges, ie the eyebrow moment followed by the….. kiss/lick..??? You know what I mean.

Once again this all is so musical, physically they transition so well to the new music coming in, and as they start the MB, Scott’s twizzle entrance that comes out of nowhere is GOD TIER.

6. Midnight Blues set pattern

I kid you not the whole time I was watching the Beijing olys SD (RD) event, every MB pattern from every team i was counting out oud TS’s timing because THAT is the proper musical timing of that rhythm. They are just sooooooooooooooooo musical. I’ve said before it’s like they don’t dance to the music but the music is coming out of them- they are dictating the music. That is such a hard thing to achieve and is often something that is natural and can’t be taught (I used to have a lot of pianists come up to me after ballet class and tell me I had this and they would often play to me and my timing coz I felt the music with more detail - I just say that to back up my points on this coz it is somewhat hard to understand for non-dancers/musicians). With TS, its like after you watch them and you know the choreography, when if you close your eyes and listen to their music, or any. Music with this timing, you can picture TS’s movement matching perfectly to the music- so it’s was the same (for me) watching other teams not being on the music.

A few fave things to point out: the developé, the right back outside edge on the synchronised retiré, the ONLY TEAM to no-hand the bracket/three turn (I’m sorry I don’t know which one is right I’ve seen/heard both words used), legit the whole time during the 22 oly event I was shouting ‘no-hand the three turn you cowards!!’, the ankle touch, their closeness throughout, the sensuality, Scott death staring the judges on the the first few steps, the ice coverage, the silky smoothness of it all, the edges in general… I think I’ve said everything at this point.

7. Second half of blues pattern

This is probably the lest exciting part of the program- no less technically and artistically brilliant though. So this is where they complete the remainder of the blues pattern- tracing a certain path on the ice but can be made up of of own chore- must touching the whole time and both partners must do a double twizzle in hold. This pattern is once again where I find this really subtle yet compelling energy they have where they balance interacting with each other and the audience. Their audience engagement I think comes a lot from their musicality, especially for the audience sitting further away the expression really has to come from their movements because they are too far away to see their faces. This whole section again is so smooth and silky, so inter the ice but in a really specific blues feel way- they don’t skate it like they do every other program its really specific to the dance style.

8: Twizzles

Firstly I’m gonna give a shout-out to whoever edits their music coz both the transitions in the program (as are most others) is fantastic. So often the musical transitions in many other programs sounds so unnatural and simply functional.

Specifically on this transition here from 5 Women to Purple Rain. You can feel the energy lift as they match it with how they fly into the twizzles.

Something minor I really love is as the come out of the end of the pattern on the musical transition, the part of chore where the cross over and Scott reaches out to the front, it almost looks like he’s grabbing/touching her pony tail/top of her head. I’m 99% sure that’s to what it is, from the font it just looks like that, but either way it’s cool and like with almost everything in ice dance, it’s subjective so yeh I just think that moment is really cool.

The actual twizzles seem to travel so far- at least half the rink when you consider they are kinda travelling on a diagonal. Having said that their twizzles alway travel crazy distances, it could just be these in particular/the camera angle/at size of the rink (compared to comps in Canada/NthAmerica where the rinks are usually hockey size)

The arms in the twizzles are so cool and just make them so much harder. They did in their twizzles is always so good (esp) post comeback. The arms they do help the twizzles blend into the broader choreography and style rather then standing out as this whole separate element. In this version at worlds the get a teeny tiny bit out of sync on the last set- to be fair they are getting very close to the boards, Scott was having twizzles issues all season but covered it very well.

Following the end of the twizzles it’s amazing how they continue to build and the music begins to reach this really triumphant climax- it also adds to all the good feelings when you hear the crowd lift with them. I love how much fun they obviously seem to be having once the twizzles are done. All the hard stuff is done so they can totally enjoy it from here out

9: Lift and Ending

Obviously there is the lift to go and a very hard lift at that, but I don’t even think I would need the fingers on one hand to count the number of times a lift didn’t work out properly. Lifts are just not hard for them- they always nail them.

This lift I saw for the first time obviously in MR and it worked so perfectly in that. I have this weird thing which is purely a stereotype I’ve created for myself in that there’s certain types of lifts I self-categorise as ‘SD’ lifts and ‘FD’ lifts. I don’t mean lift types as in curve or rotational, it’s more in the sense of.. to use a very technical term.. ‘bigness’ of them. Like the amount of space they take up, the grandness.. etc.. this lift in Prince (which colloquially I refer to as the ‘Prince lift’ when referencing it in MR or other programs) I feel is more so a ‘FD’ lift. This is very likely because the first time I saw it was in MR and for everyone who saw it in Prince or the first time in Whats Love? it’s a SD lift, or maybe no one else thinks of it like that and I’m just weird. I generally think of their SD’s lifts as their fast rotational lifts as in SFTD or DALD (2014) the more I would say ‘ballroom’ style lifts. Now obviously those lifts aren’t reserved for ballroom/latin style dances but nor would they work with the rhythm/style of Prince. Now getting past that weird thing of mine, this lift is obviously perfect for this program. It’s perfect for the music- you couldn’t put this lift anywhere else in the program, nor I feel you could have really any other kind of lift at this moment with this music in the program- it just fits it so well. T being in that costume also work well with this kind of lift- it’s quite acrobatic (as are a lot of their lifts)- not in the sense she’s going upside down or flipping- it’s fairly simple (not less difficult) in it’s mechanics, but this lift wouldn’t work in say the Mahler dress or even the Latch dress- the positions and the mechanics of it are just more suited to a pants costume (yes in MR she’s in a dress but a more athletically enabling style). There’s also something very ‘rock and roll’ about it, like rock concert-y -about it.. again this is me with my bizarre imagery here but it in a way it mimics the physicality of musicians on stage hitting the final notes of a huge song..

Ok now for the physicality.. I said it was simple but at the same time it freaking blows my mind. There’s a clip somewhere of them practicing this lift backstage (so off ice) at 4CC and the one main difference between off and on ice is off Scott doesn’t stand in a flat turned out second when T goes to stand up on his legs. We’ve established that in skating there are two plains on which the blades can travel- forward and back- so parallel, or sideways in flat turn out. So for this lift to work, he has to be travelling sideways in turn out, then to make the lift travel on a curve, he has to lean back and even direct the toes of his blades back past 180 degrees turnout to assist in the direction the curve takes. We’ve also established that in terms of turnout Scott has a lot of it- or at least uses what he has extremely well because his turned out/spread eagle positions are both so aesthetically beautiful but also incredibly strong both in his own transitions and in lift bases. So none of this is surprising, but it still blows my mind. The balance they have both have. The lack of fear Tessa had to arch back that far, them both having to find that together- if you watch this lift from one of the first times they did it in What’s Love, neither of them arch/lean back very far, so that obviously increased as they got more confident with it to the point here and following in MR the next season, T is just about arching/bending back at a 90 degree angle. So what I said earlier about them practicing off ice without that flat turned out base-is it in a sense a completely different lift because of where their weight is. Scott doesn’t get down into a full grand plié off ice so the angle T is standing on is different, she doesn’t bend as far back because that parallel angle she makes with Scott isn’t there when he’s got a different lift base. So I often wonder with a lift like this, once of course the lift becomes easy and they are fully confident with it, what the benefit of practicing it off ice is. I just think that’s interesting.

Then of course with the half twist, landing on his shoulder, he changes direction, and it was kinda funny at worlds, throughout the season actually the final ending pose they got into quicker and quicker- minor changes in the. Hire processing the lift and maybe staying longer in the lift in general, but this last time at worlds they really had to skid into it quick which is a bit funny. Still it works great and in a sense I prefer it over having to wait for the music to catch up. Scott’s reaction at this comp too was just so wholesome. The big ‘yaawooo) and leaning so far back and T just breaking but also staying in position like a good girl, trying to keep him up almost.

For that amount I’ve babbled on here you may call BS on me saying I don’t actually have a tonne to say about this program- obviously in breaking it down I do but unlike say SFTD or Latch I don’t have a tonne of super deep thinky thoughts about it. It’s more more fun, there’s not much of a story, I’m neither a skating nor hip hop connoisseur, so I’m really just breaking down what I’m seeing/ do know.

I do really like this program, it’s just not my favourite, but there is still sooooo much to appreciate and maybe one of my have things is how much fun they had performing it because while they are the best at and have such a unique ability to pour themselves into really dark and deeply emotional programs, I’m really glad they have opportunity to, and are just also really good at more up beat, light hearted programs. Also let’s not forget they broke the damn world record nearly every time they performed this.. and this was the comeback SD.. my mind is just forever gonna be blown with these two I’ll stop talking now bye..

i'm almost totally convinced that elvis was bisexual, tbh, and i would not at all be surprised if he experimented with people of other sexualities besides just heterosexual cisgender women.

in terms of how he acted with priscilla + past girlfriends, i've read a lot of stuff that both excites and concerns me lmao. he was extremely controlling and liked to try and fashion his girlfriends to be a very specific way. he basically turned cilla into his little barbie doll which...is a discussion for another time 😅 but while the controlling thing can definitely be scary (and was too much at times imo), it can also be extremely hot. like yes, daddy, tell me what to do.

i know for a fact that he was into role-playing and voyeurism too, so he was kinky af confirmed. in the movie we see him smack cilla's ass at one part, which is why i headcanon that he's an ass man, but spanking is definitely on the table, as well.

i see IRL elvis very much as a dom. perhaps with the right partner, he would be down for switching, but with that masculinity that you're picking up on, he would probably have felt the need to take the dominant role. he was probably rough, too, tbh because he needs to have that feeling of ultimate control.

which he probably needed on an emotional level too because of his situation with the colonel. considering the lack of control he had on so many aspects of his life, i'm sure he would have wanted to hold as much control over things like sex and love as possible just to feel like he had a say in something in his life.

He's definitely hopeful about a project that he's working on, he's very excited about it and it's something that is in the process of being finished. He is very happy mainly because he is taking charge of it. He had a lot of creative ideas during this and i think he has a lot of input into what is being done now.

He is probably in a relationship with someone a few years older than him, could be a fire sign. It seems to be a healthy, positive relationship.

He is dealing with someone right now related to work, maybe an agreement that is being made. It could be something related to travel as well that he is not sure if he would like to do or take this step forward related to his career. It doesn't seem to be something that he really wants to do so he's feeling a bit stuck towards this person.

Love Life

He is very happy in a relationship. I think it is so positive for him that he sometimes wonders if it is really meant to be or if it is really right because it looks too good to be true.

He really has very deep true feelings for this person. This could be a soulmate connection maybe even twin flame. He is very attracted to this person, they have a very great chemistry.

This person may be different than he imagined in some ways. Maybe they are from another ethnicity, he did not expect this person to show up because they seem to be from far away or from another culture.

I believe this person is interesting because they has a balance between feminine and masculine energy. Very strong interesting personality, it is someone who works a lot and he feels that he can learn a lot from this person.

I believe this person is very positive, who likes to have fun. Maybe is someone who is also in the spotlight but overall looks like someone he has a very true and very positive connection and I hope it stays that way.

Career

He is not happy with how things turned out in his work. I think that an unexpected change happened in something that he was working on and putting a lot of effort to do and in the end it didn't work out.

I believe that things will turn out in his favor, it's just that at the moment he is not willing to see the big picture that something better is coming.

He will be able to recover the positive energy and the creativity and things will turn in his favor. It is just a matter of time so he needs to leave behind what did not work out and move on.

He has a group of people that work with him that are supporting and helping him directly so he is not alone in this situation and that is what he needs to know.

Family

I don't think this is someone who has a problem with his parents or anything like that. Seems very positive.

He carries a lot of memories, he misses his family a lot so I believe they are in a kind of distance now so he has to travel to them.

He has a very good relationship with his father. There is a guy in the family that he really loves, they are very close.

Maybe his family is spiritual because they have a very strong power of manifestation, especially of desires.

Friendships

I don't think this guy is someone with many friends, he takes a long time to really trust someone to tell him things about his life.

At the moment he is very hurt towards a friend he has, a guy maybe the same age as him, someone he has known for a long time, maybe even a childhood friend and he is very upset with their situation.

He also has a friend who is younger than him, I think it is someone who works with him in some way, they around him. They are very inspired by him and admires a lot as an artist, so it is a positive person in his life.

He is a little refused in the matter of making friendships. I don't think he is open now to that, he seems anxious and sad. He wants more time alone or just time to think.

There is a woman that he is also close to, that at the moment he doesn't feel allowed to get to her. I think this person may be closing herself emotionally to him in some way and he perceives this so it is not very positive how his friendships are going now.

Would a fem matsuda be a bit like misa, and would an Male misa be a bit like matsuda?

Ooh, this is an interesting question! (You can tell, because the longer I dwell on them, the longer I take to answer them. Sorry!)

I think the issue with this question is that it presumes that Matsuda and Misa are anything alike, and I just do not think that's true.

See, I think Matsuda, in his essence, is so idealistic and eager to prove himself because for a large portion of his life, he has had a very easy time of it. Given how he's often called naive and stupid by his colleagues, he's not someone who went into policing with any awareness of the state of the society he is trying to police (at least, nothing more than a surface observance of someone who watches the news with no questions and has no idea what it's like for society to snap back at you when it all goes wrong). He has a job in the NPA because he has an uncle who does, and he has Soichiro Yagami as a mentor because his uncle put in a good word and asked the Chief Superintendent to give him a chance. Really, in terms of background, he has a lot more in common with Light Yagami. In fact, all that separates the two of them is just a handful of years and the fact that Matsuda needed the connections to succeed in the NPA, and Light wouldn't if he didn't have them.

A fem Matsuda (and for argument, let's say this is an AFAB, fem-identifying Matsuda) however, is a different story. Given the fact of how deeply sexist Japanese society is, she would have needed those connections to get hired at the NPA, but for her to even be considered, she would have had to already have the grades and aptitude. Would she still have that sweet lightness in how she interacts with others, the way Misa does? See, Misa can act sweetly and have it work to her advantage, because in the world of modelling, performing femininity so highly is the expectation. Yes, it does mean people underestimate her skills and prowess, but in her world, that kind of subterfuge works because every other model does it too. Our fem Matsuda, though? She couldn't do that. Hers is a balancing act, between being masculine enough to prove she can handle the world of criminal investigation, and feminine enough to still conform in the professional workplace in Japanese society. Hyper-femininity undermines her, and any excessive masculinity locks her out of progressing in a professional capacity.

So, fem Mastuda could not be like Misa.

As for Misa herself, we're talking about a different set of circumstances. I wouldn't know if she came from a middle class background, or a more working class one, but we don't know that because her family was murdered. That kind of grief, even in someone who has healed from it, adds a degree of sharpness that cannot be discounted here. Everything she has, she worked out for herself -- a home, a career in Tokyo, everything, and all without attending university. She put everything into modelling and entertainment and won. That kind of scrappiness sets her apart from Matsuda right off the bat.

A masc Misa (an AMAB, masc-identifying Misa in this case) making his mark in an industry like modelling, where there's space for men by necessity but there will always be accusations against your masculinity (whether that's about your sexuality or just being masculine enough), that takes one hell of a thick skin. A thick skin that Matsuda took far longer to grow.

On that account alone, I don't think a masc Misa would be like Matsuda.

Again, this is just my opinion, but that's simply what I think. A fem Matsuda would not be like Misa, and a masc Misa would not be like Matsuda, and that's because of the delicate, complex double-binding effects of sexism and misogyny intersecting with class and the demands of their very different professional industries.

Is It Karma If Rebel Angels Get Rebelled Back By Earth Angels...? Part 1

this might be a very strange thought, but if Lucifer had did that whole rebellion thing, and of course at the worse possible time because of the whole imbalance thing with the masculine and feminine, and the stupidity of some of our ancestors back during the Indo-European Days...

would it be karma for Lucifer and his Rebel Angels that sided with him, to end up having some Earth Angels do a Rebel back, but not in the same way he and those that followed him had done.

and yeah the strangest thought that pop into my head, is rebelling on Samael, but doing it in a way that has to do with trying to protect...

and yeah, I get that Cain is my Ancestor, well him and Seth....which makes them both Grandpas and Uncles.......they are Grand-Dunkles.

also I’m not going to force others to believe in both the Heavenly Father and the Earthly Mother, it should be of others own choice...

but you have to admit there is some messed up stuff that has to do with Cain and Abel, and even Adam’s relationships with Lilith and Eve.

and those three angels shouldn’t of tried to force Lilith to return to Adam, if she wanted to, she would of did so by her own choice to, and maybe they both could of worked it out, but Adam was really immature during his younger days, and didn’t have much sense until he became older.

and I still think both Cain and Abel were in the wrong, and it didn’t help that Cain became worse, because he wasn’t being given the proper help during his spiritual and emotional depression.

if it is true that Adam did try to stop Abel from crossing lines he shouldn’t, then he should of tried harder, and he could of tried a bit harder to help Cain heal properly.

since Cain wasn’t given the proper healing when he was spiritually and emotionally hurting, his depression got to the point where it went to a dangerous place.

Adam and Lilith had a Toxic-Relationship, and Adam was trying to force her to return to him, even if she didn’t want to, well he would have those three angels try to force her, even if some info says they were given orders not to try to force her to return to Adam.....

and yeah, I get some might not fully understand about my feelings about Samael, but if some stuff that is wrote about him is true, doesn’t that mean he crosses lines he shouldn’t and it might not help with the balance between the Divine Masculine Patriarchy and Divine Feminine Matriarchy...?

also besides this, I also don’t fully trust all Boomers....well besides the Eon-Boomers that makes up some of the Male-Angels...

don’t know what others will think about the weird thought about Earth Angels Rebelling on Rebel Angels....well I’m weird, so of course that is going to be a weird and very strange thought....even if the whole rebelling thing would be slightly different from what those Eon-Boomers were doing, which was once again at a very bad time when the imbalance was happening.

and yes, the thoughts of willingly wanting to go to Purgatory still crossed my mind, but if Samael ends up going there once in a while, I’m staying as far away from him as possible.....one of the thoughts I had was staying in a tower, I mean if there was one in Purgatory....anyway, I will make Part 2 of this when I can.

but it might not be right away, and part 2 of this might be wrote and posted on August instead....and it’s okay that this doesn’t get many people reading it.

Black Wolf, White Wolf, Megumi and Yuji.

In my last post I mentioned how the white wolf and black wolf are symbolic for the connection between Gojo and Yuji. However, because the students are all parallels for the previous generation (Gojo, Geto and Shoko paralleling Yuji, Megumi and Nobara), the white wolf and black wolf also represents the relationship between Megumi and Yuji. Megumi and Yuji are a pair of opposites, who are complementary to one another. They present themselves as completely different people, but also have far more in common with, and a closer connection to each other than anybody else.

1. There are Two Wolves Inside of You, One of Them is Gay.

The white wolf is wholly white except for three black dots on its head, the black wholf wholly black with the exception of three white dots. Each of these supposed opposites black and white have a little bit of each other’s coloring. This is a clear reference to the coloring of the Taijitu symbol.

The yin yang (i.e. taijitu symbol) shows a balance between two opposites with a portion of the opposite element in each section.

Yuji and Megumi are designed as characters to represent this same dualism as a couple. Yuji being associated with the white Yang, and Megumi the black yin.

n Ancient Chinese philosophy, yin and yang (/jɪn/ and /jɑːŋ, jæŋ/; Chinese: 陰陽 yīnyáng, lit. "dark-bright", "negative-positive") is a concept of dualism, describing how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another. Yin is the black side, and yang is the white side

The white wolf has a tendency to be associated with Yuji, and the black wolf associated with Megumi. This goes as early back as their first mission together. Immediately after panel where they first disagree with one another on how to save people, and end up confronting each other, the white wolf shikigami is killed permanently.

In the same mission, Yuji dies. Afterwards, as a consequence for his death the white wolf can never be summoned as a shikigami again, but the black wolf begins to take on a few of the white wolf’s features.

Megumi and Yuji are opposites. Megumi is cold and dispassionate, and entirely selective with his sympathies. Yuji is warm, friendly, and willing to sympathize with almost anybody. They’re also like eac other. Not only that, but they become progressively like each other as the plot goes on.

The relationship between yin and yang is often described in terms of sunlight playing over a mountain and a valley. Yin (literally the 'shady place' or 'north slope') is the dark area occluded by the mountain's bulk, while yang (literally the "sunny place' or "south slope") is the brightly lit portion. As the sun moves across the sky, yin and yang gradually trade places with each other, revealing what was obscured and obscuring what was revealed.

In other words, just like how the divine black dog now has a piece of the white dog. Megumi and Yuji present themselves to the world as opposites externally, but internally they have a piece of themselves inside each other. Despite being so different they both look at each other and think yeah, that’s the right way people should live instead.

Megumi and Yuji are inspired by the differences they have with each other. Megumi wants to become a more emotional person to Yuji, true to his feelings and his desire to save others. Yuji wants to learn to think things through like Megumi does.

There’s also several other ways the two of them compliment each other as a pair.

Yin is characterized as slow, soft, yielding, diffuse, cold, wet, and passive; and is associated with water, earth, the moon, femininity, and night time.

Yin is associated with femininity. Megumi’s name is specifically a gender neutral name. Megumi himself uses shadow as his Curse Technique. Remember Yang is the sun over the valley, and Yin is the shadows created by that sun. Megumi literally uses those shadows as a form of attack.

Megumi is also constantly characterized as passive in comparison to Yuji. It is Megumi who lives quietly with his head down, it is Megumi who passively accepts things, Megumi reacts while Yuji acts. Yuji is always running off to save people, and Megumi is the one trying to stop him from hurting himself. Even Gojo points out this passivity as a flaw on Megumi’s part. He spends so much time thinking of others, while Yuji isn’t even thinking of him, he’s swinging for a home run.

Yang, by contrast, is fast, hard, solid, focused, hot, dry, and active; and is associated with fire, sky, the sun, masculinity and daytime.

Yuji on the other hand is associated with masculinity. Megumi uses the ten shadows, Yuji just punches things. The hypermasculine Todo finds Megumi boring, but warms up to Yuji right away as a brother. Yuji’s even famous for his strength. (There’s also some Tiger and Dragon symbolism going on here, Yuji is known as the Tiger of West Junior High. Geto, who is also his opposite foil is capable of summoning a dragon).

Yuji is the active character always running off to save someone. He’s the one most determined to get involved while Megumi usually holds back. Once again returning to Gojo, Gojo and Yuji are both similiar because they think the same way about things, they’re always trying to stand out, be the star, because they’re both active. It’s usually Yuji who runs ahead and leaves Megumi behind.

However, part of the yin / yang dulaity is that as complementary pairs they can also reverse. Strong can become weak. We’re even litereally shown this in the one fight Megumi and Yuji cooperate on during the shibuya arc, they fight someone whose literal curse technique is reversing polarizaiton, making strong attacks weak.

Strong becomes weak, and weak becomes strong. The yin and yang glady trade places with one another. As a result of the Shibuya arc, we have seen Megumi acting more like Yuji, and Yuji acting more like Megumi.

In their very first arc, it was Yuji who was active. He let Sukuna rampage in order to save the others, leaving Megumi behind to deal with the fallout.

In the Shibuya arc this event is paralleled in an opposite way. Yuji becomes more passive, and less self centered. He starts to act more like Megumi. His individual life is less important, than contributing to the whole. In other words, it’s Yuji this time who decides to make the sacrifice bunt.

While at the same time we see Megumi is pushed to his absolute limit and starts swinging for the stands. It’s Megumi’s choice to summon Mahoraga and let him effectively rampage, at the cost of himself. The kind of wild, self-sacrifice that only Yuji would make. This.

Mirrors this.

Not only that but the same way Megumi had to fight against Sukuna in order to try and contain him, this time Sukuna has to fight against Mahoraga in order to stop the exorcising ritual from killing Megumi.

Megumi and Itadori are not only alike, they’re also becoming more like each other as the story progresses probably out of affection and genuine admiration of one another. Megumi inspires Yuji to become more passive and think things through. Yuji inspires Megumi to become more active towards saving others. Yuji’s thinking has even changed to become more like Megumi’s he calls himself a cog, using the same symbolism Megumi once did.

They also reflect each others flaws. When they’re alone and apart from each other, both of them becomes way too willing to sacrifice themselves. While at the same time, they both believe the other sacrificing themself is unacceptable. For Yuji, Megumi dying is the worst result. For Megumi, Yuji dying is the worst result.

Megumi and Yuji want to save each other, but individually they’re too prone to self destruction. However, with all the effort the manga puts into representing both of them as a pair, it leads me to believe that we’re eventually going to see a reconciliation between the two of them. Unlike Gojo and Geto who eventually ended up separating, and becoming incredibly unbalanced as individuals. I believe that Megumi and Yuji will have the opposite results, they’ll be able to find each other again, and find balance in each other.
