Okay but I feel like the overall themes of Danganronpa 1 and 2 with the “persevering through life even through bleak circumstances” and “having hope despite tragic surroundings” and “life is full of hope and despair” and “choosing your own future despite what is blatantly shown to you” and “changing to be a better person despite what you’ve done in the past” and “breaking the mold of what others want and expect you to be” and “choosing to live free at the expense of security” are actually super fucking cool and salient messages that are overlooked as hell because of all the other weird shit that happens in those games

Anyway I'm playing Chrono Trigger DS now

#I have never played the original Chrono Trigger; I got the DS port at release #and almost beat it that year. and then stopped just short. the reason why has been lost to time #in 2021 or 2022 I decided to restart only to learn that my 3DS battery was not seated properly. resulting in VARIOUS issues #such as randomly turning off during gameplay; sound volume fluctuations; could not press left on the d-pad #tried to get in there and futz with it and instead stripped one of the screws like an idiot. decided to play Switch games instead #BUT THIS MORNING I REMEMBERED that I got the 3DS repaired over last summer #tl;dr frog best boy #(the DS version was re-localized and he does not speak Fauxlizabethan English. someday I'll look up the SNES script)
