Bad Faith Readers - UMM I don't like that the message of trolls 1 is Just Be Happy what is that communicating to those with depression uhhhhh
T1 is about letting others in, isolating yourself isnt healthy and the way to be happy is letting other people help you find it within yourself obv it wont happen overnight but its kids movie they only have an hour and a half
Bad Faith Readers - Barb Is A Nazi Trying To Make An Ethnostate
TWT is teaching kids that if everyone was the same THAT WOULD BE BAD everyone being the same isn't peace differences are important and cool and interesting and Matter and you should open yourself up to that and learn from them Barb understands this at the end of the movie once she's faced consequences of her plan going wrong and is open to learn from there
Bad Faith Readers - They just had Branch forgive his abusive older brothers and let them back into his life without consequence uwu poor smol bean (choke)
TBT is about the fact that No One is perfect and to want that and expect that is unhealthy, your family might not be angels but that's okay, because working that out with them and just letting everyone be who they are, warts and all, and loving them for that is the best way to navigate having to share life with someone
I hate you morons where is the fucking joy in your life watch a colourful kids movie and have fun for ONCE
The fact that these are From the movies:
"Happiness is inside of all of us, right? We just need someone to help us find it."
"Harmony needs Lots of voices! Different voices!!!"
"We don't need to be perfect, we just need to be as we are... together."
LIKE ITS NOT EVEN SUBTEXT ITS JUST TEXT TEXT. STOP SHITTING ON PEOPLE FOR NOT DOING THE SAME DUMBASS MENTAL GYMNASTICS YOU DID.
Whatever. What ever.
Childrens movie for babies you are not the target demographic die

I don't think I'll ever be over how ugly they made the newer Blue Exorcist stuff... like i think it managed to kill every ounce of nostalgia I had left for it bc what is this ...
season 1 vs. season 3 for comparison

the wildest thing about the state of reading comprehension these days is reading some meta on your dash and thinking yeah that's good. op is totally right. but like. why does it need to be said. isn't that already painfully obvious. but then you find out that op was actually debunking the most popular character misconception that is basically accepted by the fandom and is used for all kinds of memes headcanons and fanart as (sometimes the only one) valid canon characterisation and yeah. it doesn't only need to be said loud and clear but also speaker is recommended as well as writing all of that in bold font on the biggest most visible banner possible

cressida is headed to wales maybe delia busby had a super queer ancestor that was a seamstress and the reason they own a drapers shop in the 50's and maybe they share looks over her aunts head while cressida gets some more 'sensible' clothes made, and maybe delia 1.0 sews the subtlest of embellishments, or a splash of color for cressida's eyes only anything to try and crack a smile from this beautiful woman with the melancholy eyes and air of heartbreak
maybe the country hurts too much because it reminds her of eloise, but then what doesn't remind her of eloise so really it all hurts, even delia's piercing blue eyes aren't her own when cressida looks into them, until they are
cressida desperate for real genuine human connection but refusing to, unable to trust
delia 1.0 with all the grace and charm of a horse kick that narrowly misses your head, she laughs too loud and touches too freely like someone else cressida knows, even as she starts making an deliberate effort to forget
but delia 1.0's energy is calmer somehow, she has a quiet confidence and surety unlike anyone cressida's ever known
kindness comes naturally to her in a way that cressida admires and envies in equal parts
perhaps without the pressures of the ton cressida finally learns her capacity for true kindness as well
maybe delia looks at her with the kind of stars in her eyes that cress had for eloise while all eloise could see was pen
maybe she finally lets go of the what-ifs and embraces the warm solid hand that wants her
that she finds she yearns for once she can suddenly see what's in front of her instead of only what she's lost
and maybe just maybe they smooch about it hidden behind piles of fabric away from prying eyes
like maybe cressida gets to feel some requited love for once that'd be neat

idk if this is a common issue for anyone else but i find that i hang out w a lot of people who look younger than their age, and i think its particularly bc my social circle is trans-heavy and i tend to find a lot of trans people look young? like the transmasc babyface is known but its also true for transfems ime. so ive become notoriously bad at determining how old someone is based on their appearance. this is an issue for me bc ill see someone on social media like tiktok or whatever and go "oh theyre kinda cute" thinking theyre my age and then i go to their profile and theyre like 20 and its the worst thing everrr

you know my thing with kaeya being a genshin character isn’t even so much abt how bad of a game genshin is or isnt (it’s honestly only partly that bc mechanics/gameplay wise it’s honestly fine and genuinely it’s fun to play it most of the time) it’s more that by nature of the kind of game it is he can never be the primary focus of the story for extended periods of time bc they need to constantly be introducing new characters and areas and plot lines which sucks so bad bc he IS important to the story despite being a starter character and there IS a lot of mystery and intrigue and there’s just sooo much interesting stuff to chew on wrt his character but i unfortunately have to be constantly waiting for his Exciting single scene where he talks for maybe five minutes before disappearing for the next six months completely and so it’s really frustrating that i have to just spend the entire time wishing he was back already LMAO

I know we keep talking about it but I’m still so uneasy at the potential thought that Taylor was so worried about the impact she had on her loved ones that she sliced off parts of her self bit by bit (first publicly and later privately) out of love for her partner to give him the security she thought he craved and in return probably assumed she would receive his unconditional support to create and grow and love at home to strike a balance that would work for both of them. But instead it seems that when she was the one who needed support and compassion, she was met with silence, and ultimately for every inch she gave the person took a mile and ran until she had nothing left to give 😵💫

Ok no i feel like if your favorite character is swk, then you are either tang sanzang OR zhu bajie.
Thats is too say: you too will be a zhu bajie apologist and sympathize w tang sanzang one you do a thorough breakdown of jttw
Bc my god all of them have personalities that by the end of the book you just don’t want the journey to end. (Like there’s moments where u can glimpse into their daily life and wonder if they always had done it this way or this just spur of the moment—such as when theyre getting supplies n u see tang sanzang feeling guilty for not helping and wanting to help. ALSO THE TIME WHERE SWK BASICALLY PUT ZHU BAJIE IN TIME OUT WHILE HE N SHA WUJING WENT TO GET SUPPLIES SHHSHSH
At least they end up sticking together tho🥹🥹
ETRHDRGSEAWAFERSGD i think if we can agree to anything it's that the unedited version of Xiyouji really is a masterclass example on how if you genuinely want your characters to be complex then you really need to spare the time and effort to let that complexity shine through.
Because YEAH i've been fully guilty of it myself in describing Tang Sanzang as a weepy whiner who falls off his horse all the time and Zhu Bajie as naught but the massive pervert of the group BUT THEN if you start thinking about the stuff they are explicitly written as having gone through then you have to acknowledge that there's a lot more going on with them than that & all the many many MANY reasons for why they act they way they do besides their personal failings, and yes in the end it does leave you with characters where you can appreciate who they are while still acknowledging their faults & who you want to see in all kinds of extra situations in addition to the +1400 pages that we get.
I mean as it is i've heard that the Chinese side of the Xiyouji fandom regularly gets into debates as to what the pilgrims were eating at specific locations during the journey argetewr.
