prince of egypt is my favorite film and it's FLAWLESS, in everything from the cinematography to the story & dialogue, the animation, etc. it is KING of all movies.

Aizo: Yeah. We’ve gotta try even harder to meet their expectations, huh? How do you feel about the album, Yujiro?

Yujiro: I guess I feel differently about it than I did about our first album.

Aizo: Eh? How so?

Yujiro: I feel as though I wouldn’t have been able to do it alone. It’s all thanks to the support and expectations of our Julieta that we’re able to stand on stage. And, as that stage grows bigger and bigger, I get the feeling that I wouldn’t have been able to respond to the size of the stage all by myself.

Aizo: Yeah, I feel the same way. I’ve had thoughts like “Why are there 2 guys in LIPxLIP? I could do it by myself.” before. But this has made me realise once again that going at it alone would just mean halving our power.

Yujiro: We’re able to develop better together as a pair than we would have on our own. I'd say that we’re indispensable to each other for sure.

Aizo: Yeah, we are. Plus, things would sure get boring without a rival around, huh?

Yujiro: Yup. Aizo, the friendly rivalry between you and me… Wait a sec! This is going to be a bonus video! Isn’t this conversation getting embarrassing?!

Ugh I can’t believe I’m venting here of all places but I also need to get this out so bad

For context, i haven’t had an irl friend since I was 11. My parents didn’t want me in public school, the stay at home parent couldn’t drive, I was babied and not even trusted to leave the house to walk/bike ANYWHERE without a parent, but I finally did manage to be allowed social media in my late 16’s.

Both friend groups I’ve had online were ones I cared about deeply and they both ended with me realizing they didn’t care about me in return. One I was the oldest of and 80% of the group was 13, but I still got along with them anyways and after a whole year of being the mom friend, the therapist, the “Ill call the police if you don’t throw up all those pills you intentionally OD’d on because I’m not letting you take your own life so young” stays up all night spam calling them when they said they were gonna ktms only to find out they were bluffing and never even took all those pills or actually intended to hurt themselves, that kind of friend. Then when push came to shove, the one time I needed them, the one time I literally had to Voice message because I couldn’t see my keyboard through tears, they completely ignored and roleplayed over the top of me and left my messages on read.

The second was so much better, they were supportive and funny and super invested in the fandom I’m hyper fixated on and you can ask anyone in my family I was BEYOND happy with them. Then out of the blue, the admin messages me to tell me I’ve sent a server invite. I hadn’t, I didn’t even have people to invite in and I had been hiking in the desert for four hours straight with my family. They let me back in and then booted me out AGAIN after a literal misunderstanding with them thinking I was “Acting like they didn’t have a reason to kick me in the first place”, and said “I think it best if you just leave sorry.”

I tried to explain myself and they came back with “Uh huh, you still sent an invite which is all I need to know.” Mind you I’ve been friends with these people for MONTHS at the time this happens and they’re completely unwilling to hear me out.

Out of desperation not to be kicked from my only friend group at the time I offered to show them screenshots of all my recent DM’s to try and prove I hadn’t sent an invite, they came back with “I don’t need to see that you could’ve deleted the message 💀”. ATP they’re condescending me and acting as if the situation is funny and I’m having a meltdown sobbing in front of my mom and unbeknownst to me at the time starting to get sick from too much sun that day.

So I’m sobbing and seeing red at the same time, and I told them to shove a cactus up their ass but that I’d be explaining to everybody through DM’s why I was gone and what happened. But they got to everyone first, @‘ing everyone just showing me being aggressive and telling them to shove a cactus in their ass and they managed to turn everyone against me. One very sweet person was nice enough to share screenshots of the situation and let me know about it before I ever even reached out to anyone and at that point I was too humiliated to say anything watching everyone make fun of me.

I couldn’t hold food down for the next two days out of a mixture of emotional upset and what might have been heatstroke from that hike. As of today it’s been a week, 2 hours and thirty minutes since that happened and I still haven’t heard from any of those people after the admin blocked me on everything. I still have a DM with most of the people there, but they haven’t once reached out to me and I’m too scared to reach out to them. I just keep thinking about it all on loop.

Oh, and as a bonus fun little side note they fucking posted a slideshow of our DM’s on TikTok, tagged me in it and said “Uh you deserved to be banned as this screenshot shows you invited someone so yeah sowwy ☺️” AND DIDNT BLURR OR CENSOR MY USERNAME. That’s wrong on a LOT of levels, but holy fuck I’m so glad that video got taken down. I hope their 11 likes was worth my internet privacy. And again I legitimately have no clue where that invite was sent, i still swear on my life I didn’t do that.

So yeah, not a peep from any of them and I’m seeing a pattern here. Am I obnoxious, am I boring, do people not find me funny… literally wtf am I doing wrong that nobody cares about me as much as I cared about them? Maybe those were just texts to them but to me online interaction is my ONLY interaction, it meant a lot to me. Maybe I can’t force them to care about me but I wish I could at least force them to understand how bad it feels to realize you’re not cared for. Do I just sound like a chronically online pussy who’s being selfish? Idk, but the loneliness is fucking killing me and I’m scared to be open or even joke around with people anymore. I feel like there’s a standard I’m not aware of that I have to fit for anyone to even consider me an acquaintance.

I still feel literally sick just thinking about the year wasted with those first people and then months with the second, I can’t get all that time back and it doesn’t feel like a happy memory anymore it just puts a pit in my stomach to think of how it all ended.

Christ it’s 2:41 am now and this must sound so fucking dramatic, I need to go to bed.

Also thank you so much! ^-^ I don't really have too much info on the au since I haven't toyed with it that much, but I'd like to draw Sun and Moon since thus far I've only done Eclipse.

I've seen one or two people say that it'd be fun if Sun used to be like primarily a medical bot but got reprogrammed when the war picked back up, so I'm wondering if maybe he has some sort of medical logo somewhere on his chest/arms under a thick coating of paint.

He feels sort of embarrassed about it when y/n finds out (I suppose time has withered the paint and the cracks show through) because after a while, since after centuries of bloodshed humanity is like on the verge of extinction and yet unwilling to let their violence go, war was the only thing he knew.

Eclipse is neither good nor bad, he just exists to cause destruction lol. Specifically to end the Titan war, but since it's long over and the "bad side" as he's programmed to see it no longer exists, it's the only logical solution to re-focus his attention on destroying humanity.

Of course, this all pulls to a halt when Sun and Moon come back into the picture (and no I have no idea how they'd all miraculously re-animate at the same time 😂) Maybe either y/n is able to find some sort of on-twitch of a kind, like a power core that automatically powers on all the titans even in their long-dormant state, or Eclipse actually decides to spare humanity because y/n wants him to (who can resist those big pleading eyes honestly) and maybe because humanity just seems so... frail these days. Not at all the powerful armies that he remembers, therefore no challenge. Then he once again refocuses his attention on fixing Sun and Moon just so he can fight them.

Alfie Solomons on Social Media

Big thank you to @cheekypeakyblinders @peak-a-blinder and @champagneholland !! So much love and support with this lil social media themed project we’re doing! Go read their writing (linked at the bottom!) also can I just say I’m super proud of the moodboards I made for these :)

Alfie is NOT tech savvy. He’s not a complete technophobe, but he’s definitely not down with the latest trends, he doesn’t have a clue what half the pre-installed apps on his phone are for and he’s only just figured out that you can have a contacts list and that you don’t need to manually type in a whole phone number if it’s already saved on his phone.

He often forgets how to turn off caps lock, so his texts can often be misinterpreted as very angry or very excited

He also uses LOTS of abbreviations- like the normal ones (lol, wtf, ffs, cba) but then he also makes his own up which just confused everybody

Example:

It’s okay though bc the younger ones actually teach him stuff (*cough* unlike tommy abd arthur who just take the piss)

‘No right Finn mate I don’t want to fuckin download Tik tok I’ve got a fuckin watch and a little clock on the screen fucks sake’

Alfie’s in a fair few group chats- there’s the main GC that has the Shelby/gray clan (he’s there for banter and because Polly is an admin and she knows it pisses tommy off

Every morning without fail at like... 5-6 o’clock, he’ll send a bright and cheerful good morning text that’s normally not very well received. But he does it anyway bc him and Pol are the only ones awake :)

Alfie on snapchat is a different story. Literally every day there’s a picture of Cyril with a caption like ‘love of my life’ ‘best mate’ ‘don’t know what I’d do without you’

He also posts all his baked goodies onto his story too, and the random women who add him via quick add end up swooning over his floury tattooed arms bc he has a dog and he can COOK

He hasn’t got a CLUE what a private story is so every day, at least 100+ people are subjected to ‘tommy fucking Shelby has a stick up his arse pass it on’ which gets screenshotted and sent to the group chat

He doesn’t get the whole ‘streaks’ thing either

‘No I don’t wanna fucking streak with you isaiah what the fuck??? I thought your dad was a man of god and all that???’

Cue three days later on his story: “there’s fires next to some of your names right and if you die yeah, blame isaiah because he asked me to streak with him and I don’t think Jeremiah likesd that tbh and probs prayed to god to smite yous down lol’

‘Alfie it just means we’ve snapped eachother for three consecutive days mate’

His story that day: ‘sorry you’re not getting smited you lot just like sending me pictures of your ceilings ??’

Snapchat filters took him by surprise too but imagine this man’s JOY when he found out Cyril could wear funny glasses AND have a round face 🥺🥺🥺

Let’s talk YouTube. Despite not knowing how to turn caps lock off, and thinking Finn is having a stroke every time he throws it back, Alfie is quite the vlogger.

What’s starts off as mostly baking videos and rants (he likes to get things off his chest while kneading the SHIT out of some dough) quickly turns into a full on THING

He makes all sorts of videos- at least one weekly vlog with Cyril and him going on an adventure

Honestly those ones are basically asmr bc Alfie will be recording cyril with one hand and petting him and scratching behind his ears with the other and just murmuring ‘what’ve you got there mate? A rock? Tha’s fuckin brilliant that is my mate. My good boy aren’t you? Yeah... good lad... you gonna put the rock down or... no we’re fuckin... taking the fuckin rock home with us... whatever you say mate...’

Like it’s not much of a vlog like ‘hey guys it’s Alfie aka the Wandering Jew and today me and my pal are going to the park’ it’s more of a ‘watch this great big bear of a man talk very gently to a great big dog for fifteen minutes’ type of vlog

He also does the baking vids obvs, but in more of a tutorial format rather than bitching about his mate ‘Timmy’ as he develops the gluten with his sleeves rolled upto his elbows.

If you don’t live together, you get a good morning and a goodnight text every night, regardless of any business.

You quickly learn to mute your phone as soon as you wake up bc he is an early bird lol

You hear the rants he doesn’t put on his story 🥺🥺

He doesn’t really use emojis but he uses them a LOT more when he texts you- mainly the heart ones

Likes your instagram posts literally as soon as they’re posted and always comments on them

‘You’re fucking beautiful you. I love you’

He does it on your snapchat story as well, sensing you your picture with a cute (or flirty) comment

SMUTTY TALK BELOW

You love texting him little flirty messages??? Just subtle ones with a cheeky double entendre.

Maybe you’re thinking about him. Maybe the sausages you had with breakfast really were juicy who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Either way it gets him GOING

You use snapchat to your biggest advantage, sending him cheeky little peeks at your body, but never quite ENOUGH

He clicks off the image really quickly so you normally get a ‘Alfie💖 has replayed your snap’ notification

DUN! DUN! DUN! MATPAT THE THEORIST KING! XD

Was watching some film theory vids on YouTube. I found out that apparently Matpat actually has a kid. Which surprised me cause man he looks young for a dad X3 lol

But while watching his film theory about the lion king, I started getting IDEAS LOL XD

And I came up with this.

This is my idea.

The work I did in these pics are some of the facial inserts, talk bubbles, action lines and the main title. (And let me tell you, making the main title was NOT easy! You’d think all it took was just typing in words and that’s it but it’s not. It was impossible to find the right font for this title. It turns out the original font for the lion king is litterally labeled “ lion king” and despite trying to get a free download of the font, it turns out the downloads are not as advertised! So I had to do it the hard way, turns out these free download sites have a preview option, so I decided to do some cheating since their giving false fonts. Typed out what I wanted to see it in the preview window, took a screenshot and then edited it in photoshop. Then a lot of copying, cutting, pasting and resizing! The title was the hardest part of making this funny bit)

I obviously do NOT take credit for the screenshots and pics. This is all photoshoped.

I got the faces of matpat and his son off a Google search. Took screenshots from the lion king movie.

I did this cause I though it was funny. I honestly wonder how Matpat and his wife steph would think of this.

To be honest, I think it would be awsome to see matpat’s editing team make an animated version of this with matpat’s voice and everything. X3

Really I think they could do this way cooler. I’m just an amateur with this stuff, and seeing an improved version of this by film theory would be awesome!

Imagine, matpat being the theorist king and his son will someday inherit the title and be the next theorist king X3

But then got alittle too eager and decides to overthrow daddypat XD lol

Social Media Problems

I made it!! Thanks to @obvidalous​, @natsora​ and @rpgwrites​ for making me believe in myself. For real your guys have my hole heart

Since my new computer sucks, and I can’t have new screenshots because MEA is not working on it, I tried to be realistic.

Reyes was never a social media guy. He was an alliance soldier, most of the pictures he had were some Friday night drinks with a bunch of colleagues on their profiles. His personal page was a desert with two or three landscape pictures and a glass of whiskey. 

That is why he could not care less when Andromeda new social media started. Some Koreans and Japanese got out of cryo, and apparently, they were brought here for helping communication between the colonies. So yeah, let's make a social media. 

And it worked. Reyes saw many Kadara residents with their profiles at hand on their omni-tool. Some people from the Nexus had a device on their hand, a 5.5 inches board with a screen that they took everywhere.

Even the bathroom.

Just like on earth, it was kind of bizarre. But people seemed to like it, so now he had requests to smuggle the devices enough to pay for a month of expenses. Since the information was his job's top priority he made an anonymous account, not that was anything that much useful but better than nothing. 

Scott Ryder was awake, but his sister Sara was still in a coma. People were commenting that we would take Lumina's place as a pathfinder, and calling her a 'cold-hearted woman that should be replaced'.

And that is why he hates social media.

The woman put outposts, killed Kett, found arks, made diplomatic contact with the Angara, saves Nexus ass every day but is "cold-hearted" because she doesn't have a fake smile or an annoying positive attitude.

A few days later, the Tempest was back on Kadara.

Drack and Vetra went to see something no one needed to know, Liam and Jaal went back to complain about the place, Peebee went to the market, and a white hair girl ran towards a group of people, smiling and laughing.

He kept watching the vid until realizing that the girl was Lumina. Even her crew members were in shock at her laugh in the images, or maybe it was the fact that she was speaking japanese so fast that looked like a machine. 

At the bar, they chose to sit in the middle laughing and drinking like never. He knew those people. They were hunters and hackers, all from some part of Asia. Some of the most dangerous at Kadara. 

"You are something else Ryder..." He whispered, going back to work.

His device had a notification. An anon count posted that, 

'The shady Pathfinder has shady friends.’

Looking at Lumina, she didn't seem to care much.

Hours passed, around 3 am, Reyes decided to leave. 

The group was paying for the last round of drinks, Drack was there probably to keep an eye on her, although she seemed fine. The best among all of them. 

"So why did you dyed your hair?" Kian said while cleaning the bar.

"Yeah, why Luuuumi?" The drunk girl with bangs asked, her name was Eunseo from what he had gathered. One of the best Hackers in the initiative. 

Heard she stayed after the munity to spit in Tann's face in front of the screen, and laughed all the way towards the escape pod.

Some members of the Collective worked with her, not just because she was a pretty good hacker, but because the girl needed a job after telling Sloan to ‘suck her wiggly dick.’

Funny group.

"So when the social media was announced, Tann called all the pathfinders and told us to keep a low profile for appearances." Said Lumina while dressing her coat and fixing her hair that looked smooth and shiny. 

Reyes wanted to touch it, maybe pull a bit while looking her in the eyes.

"So you dyed your hair white to tell him to fuck off." The smuggler said while walking away from the bar fixing his hair after a long workday. 

"Oh Reyes, I would never do something like that."

After huggy-huggy moments between friends, he decided to walk her to the tempest, in silence. A comfortable silence. Once close to the ship, he finally asked. 

"You really didn't dye your hair to tell Tann to fuck off, Ryder?" Lumina rolled her eyes and sited on a cradle, the streets were empty, but he knew there were eyes on him and the Pathfinder. 

Her legs were open, the arms were placed above the thighs, hands hanging in the middle. And Lumina knew he was looking at the black shorts a bit tight, her oversized shirt did not cover all this time. The nearly Ivory hair perfectly contouring her slightly chubby face.

That duality of being strangely adorable in a moment then a wolf about to attack in the other was no joke.

"Of course not Reyes." Lumina leaned towards him, normally that would be almost to close for his taste there was an interesting look on her face, kind of provocative. "I told him to fuck off, then dyed my hair."

She blinked, and booth laughed and Reyes wandered... What a girl like her was doing at the Nexus?

“Wait a minute.” She run to the ship, coming back five minutes later with a plastic box, she opened the container.

It was an Omuraisu.

“I hope you like your bento...” Lumina bowed a bit, hiding her face, while warping the box in a black fabric. 

Reyes put two fingers on her chin, their eyes meet. She was using contacts, the eyeballs look bigger than normal. Finally, a weak point in the hard shell.

The Charlatan noticed, she probably never even kissed before, that is why it was so embarrassed to be so close to him that way. Still he leaned on, and game a charlatan smirk.

“Thank you, Lumina. I will make it up to you.”

Reyes never knew a human could be so red, it was cute. The goodbye was quick, he ate the bento box in the next day at Tartarus. Kian made some jokes. But in the end, gave him another advice.

“Good luck finding a chocolate in Kadara to give back the gift properly.”

Reyes smile nearly died, but he saw the empty food box, all the food perfectly organizes, she took some time to make it. He was full for the day, and it was the first decent meal in nearly six months. Imagined Lumina at the tempest kitchen organizing, and smiled again looking at Kian.

“Is worth it.”

I don’t know who this will be helpful for, but in the interest of amplifying some black voices re: the content I consume, and anybody who might be interested in that sort of thing. Specifically I’m very interested in astrology, spirituality, tarot, as well as commentary, and I did some research into some black commentary YouTube channels if that’s your thing. Also I’m a sucker for Twitter so there’s some of my favourite Twitter personalities to spice up your feed not only with some educational content but also just... good content. 

There’s also a dash of other subjects like writers (three Tumblr writeblrs/writers, a Black-owned publishing house to keep an eye on with some new independent releases, and my current favourite author whose trilogy made me fall in love with fantasy all over again). 

Obviously it is severely reflective of my character that I did have to research certain creators because of my lack of exposure, and that does come from a white perspective in that I’ve never felt the pressure to engage with Black content the way I should haveーbut the only way to move forward from that is to actively seek them out, make adaptions, and introduce new content creators into my life. And hopefully, to my white mutuals (since I’m in no place to preach to anyone else), introduce some stuff to you guys too.

Because Black lives do not only matter when we’re mourning the lives lost, but Black lives matter when they are actively creating content we can support, across all platforms and genres. Whether it’s Black film, Black writing, Black art, Black YouTubers, etceteraー and while we should absolutely introduce more critical reading into our lives in order to develop a much more intelligent, nuanced perspective on the subject of race, we shouldn’t only view Black people as politics suppliers, but people who create content all across the board, especially when we consider that Black culture and Black creators are often the biggest influence on social media and modern culture. This is just a small, very niche list of what I have foundー and I would love recommendations! Your favourite designers, your favourite artists to follow, your favourite gaming channels (especially those who focus on thorough lets plays!), your favourite Black creator in any sort of environment. Under a read more just because this post is already long. 

Black Spiritualists/Astrologers/Tarot Readers who I really love:

Shonnetta’s Divine Tarot ~ A YouTube channel which does really long, in depth tarot readings for the signs and pick a cards if that’s your thing, she’s super bubbly and energetic and has great energy

 Itsbabyj1 ~ She does really fun but also well-researched videos, she’s super playful and knowledgeable about the subject. She has some really fun, laid back videos like how to tell if your crush likes you based on your sign, which if anything is just fun to indulge

Similarly, astrokit does really fun but also educational videos! Some based on crushes, or pet peeves, etc, but likeー she can even help you figure out your own chart bit by bit like her latest video on Moon in the houses. She’s sooo cute and has such an airy energy, I’ve spent many an hour relistening to her crush or pet peeve etc videos in the background because she has a really nice voice

If you want to learn some more advanced techniques, this interview with Darren King is really educational! He hasn’t made a lot of content yet but he’s a great speaker and his vid is so good, and you can even book a reading with him through the website

Sunshine Tarot ~ all of her readings are super accurate imo, she has such a homely vibe, she’s so charismatic that her videos feel like she’s really there with you. 

Gaialect ~ does occasional Tarot readings for the signs, she’s super kind and direct, originally quite a presence on Twitter and I feel like she really has a great camera presence and a good friendliness.

AstroDeeStars ~ again, just super good charisma & really informative videos. Not super active but you can watch her old content and be informed on the subjects!

ijaadee ~ A very advanced yet really personable astrologer who specialises in offering horary charts, and works with really detailed methodsーshe’s really interesting if you’re into that sort of thing!

Jalen Astrology ~ a black, nonbinary (and potentially gay) astrologer whose personality is stunning, and they’ve done some great threads iirc!

RetroJ ~ similar to ijaadee in subject matter and advanced subjects, but he does have some great introductory threads that you can look through. Also does a wide array of consultations if you vibe with that!

BlackWomenCry ~ A sex astrologer! They do really fun yet in depth analyses of signs and qualities, especially regarding sex and unpacking trauma. Worth a follow for sure

LatreceASMR ~ A black woman ASMRtist for if you’re trying to relax, her stuff is super chill & she has a really comforting voice! I really like her earlier low fi stuff

Mina Reads ~ A booktuber! I’m still getting into the booktube scene so I’d also love recs if you’re into it as well, they’re really funny! (I believe their pronouns might be she/her but I can’t remember completely so I’d rather stay on the safe side). Also, they often review or read books focused on and/or written by Black people, which can be a great introduction to fiction by Black authors!

Yah Yah Scholfield ~ Horror writing, fantastic short stories, also publishing a lesbian horror novel this year 

Sandra T. ~ Yah Yah’s publisher/editor and a writer herself, that’s her main blog but she also posts her work here and she runs her own publishing company which currently has a poetry book, a compilation of short surrealist short stories, and Yah Yah’s novel): Oni House Press

Lydia ~ Another black writer! She posts excerpts of her writing work and I’m a huge fan of her stuff. Her writing is so... emotive, rich and inspiring.

My favourite book trilogy that I reference often is N. K. Jemisin’s The Broken Earth trilogy which is an incredible fantasy series, and I really recommend it as an introduction to fantasy, right now I’m also starting her other series. TBE is notable not only for its incredible world-building and character work (I cried... several times lol) but also for its subtle, natural integration of LGBT peopleーand I mean LGBT people, not just a token gay character but also trans characters, with even minor reference to nonbinary people. She has some other series that I can’t advocate for yet, because I haven’t read them, but of course when one series is so good, of course I have faith in her other work. 

Warsan Shire’s poetry is also groundbreakingー you’ve probably already seen it everywhere, whether in snippets or in huge excerpts, and she even contributed the poetry to Beyonce’s Lemonade. I read Teaching My Mother How to Give Birth which is a super short but very rich poetry book, which is also a great entry into it. 

Rashida Renee ~ you’ve probably used one of her scans in a moodboard, or seen someone use it. A Black trans woman with a huge knowledge on fashion and fashion culture, and highly influentialー I love having her on the TL. Also was a huge Tumblr presence, I’m not sure if that’s still a thing, but I believe she was scorpioenergies and she was fuckrashida.

Silver Summer ~ also known on Tumblr as trapcard I believe (also used to be blastortoise, a huge “comedy” Tumblr acc), another Black trans woman who is just ... naturally funny, very quick-witted and livens up the TL. Also a fan of KPOP if you’re into that thing.

jaboukie ~ you’ve definitely seen his tweets screenshotted. Funny as hell but not afraid to use his account to amplify things, lost his blue tick (rip) for the cause of mocking fools. 

D4Darious ~ a film YouTuber! but not just film, the act of making film, for any aspiring filmmakers out there.

Honestly the fact he can’t tell stage magic from true magic is funny and galling and aggravating all in one (the latter because he and Kevin could’ve had such a good dynamic but noooo)

Hex magics up some proper clothes and is allowed inside. And he looks damn good, let me say. Impresses the dude at the door and makes him think he’s the one starring the show tonight.

Okay, so the building has multiple rooms, each one with a different performer doing different tricks

Max allowing Ben to wander off but begging him, literally, to follow the rules.

“Ben can be a bit chaotic at times, but he can’t possibly get himself into that much trouble” have you not met your cousin?

Ya know Funhouse? And how it was a good half Frightwig fighting the Tennysons while trying to keep Zombozo from knowing they were there so as to preserve his confidence? Picture that, but it’s Kevin trying to keep the Tennysons out of their business while coming up with excuses for why the heads of the club aren’t watching Hex’s performance, buying time until they wisen up and agree that Hex is a better magic user than them so he can let them out the damn trunk he’s locked them in.

Hex asks if his work was up to their standards, is told it was ‘completely pedestrian’. Assholes. Get ‘em Hex!

I’m on Hex’s side this episode, I didn’t expect to be. He better come out of top of everybody.

Hakuoki Drama - Hijikata Biyori Track 17 “Worries”

Anyway. i started reading some of the biyoris.... and well, this one kinda stood out for me and i quite enjoyed reading it so i ended up jumping the queue with this lol (u can bet it has saito in it if i do that hahaha). honestly though, i was half-tempted to do track 13.... but since that kinda goes as a set with track 14 and im still trying to focus on ssl... that ended up being put aside for now.

as always, this was translated by me from Chinese using mtl help so it might not be accurate, and final edits will be done when I get to making the video for this (going to be my standard for dramas)... and when I double check the other biyori translations that I have access to (only for the biyori cuz have multiple versions for some tracks).

Also why is it almost impossible to find official art of Hijikata with one of the other guys aside from Kazama?! Like I could only find 1 image of official art of Hijikata with Saito, and I don’t think i’ve even seen one of Hijikata with just Heisuke, Shinpachi, Harada or Souji (on that note, the image i plan on using for this drama video had souji in it... so i’m taking him out)?! It’s like something wants me to photoshop crap together or look through Hakuoki Otogisoushi for screenshots lol (i absolutely don’t wanna use the anime/movie’s graphics as background pics).

Hijikata: Be careful. Don't watch Ito like that [Don't watch him too closely? or don't be fooled/taken by Ito's appearance. probably the latter.], he's actually quite sensitive. Don't be careless.

Saito: Yes.

Hijikata: Although I don't know how long you;ll stay with those guys, I'll call you back as soon as I get the chance. Until then, please [please put up with this?].

Saito: Understood.

HIjikata: Ah also....

Saito: in regards to Heisuke, I keep an eye on him.

My paternal grandmother is dying of stage four cancer so I'm visiting her out of state. Mother knows this and has been rather encouraging so far. Thing is, ummi (Indian for mother/grandmother, used in Islam) was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon because she was in severe pain and her meds weren't working. I rode in the ambulance with her and stayed with her as long as she would allow, which was hours, because it was night by the time my uncle and I left. Ummi doesn't want visitors because hospitals are a breeding ground for sickness, so i haven't been able to accompany my uncles when they go to the hospital.

So my mother, in her infinite wisdom There's no paraphrasing what she said and i can't do screenshots so have some direct quotes

Her: Hey How long are you staying in NY?

Me: Hi, probably until Saturday or Sunday. Auntie said I could stay as long as I wanted but dad seemed to be set on a week so I'm not entirely sure yet. Kodu's supposed to be here tomorrow or Saturday, though, so I'm looking forward to that. What's up with you? How have you been?

Her: “Auntie said” Anyway. Talk to your father

Me: That's just to say she doesn't care I was going to call him if he didn't come back to oomi's

Most places are going to be on lockdown until they get this virus under control It won’t matter where you are you won’t be able to do much. At the very least spending this time with your grandmother will be good for both of you. If he’s set on a week, ask him why If it’s money, that’s not a reason. Figure out what it is.

Her: That’s bullshit. Long day too tired to talk but Oomi is in the hospital. That shit ain’t hard Why not. Why don’t you go to the hospital She can’t have visitors?

Me: That whole thing was scary af but she should be fine now that she has the right meds

Her: I can’t with you. I just can’t. I’ll talk to you later.

Me: I went with her when she was admitted and whenever I'm up everyone is already out to see her Wait a minute, what did I say wrong?

Her: So you get your butt up earlier What?!?! Are you serious right now? I’ll vid chat when I get in the house. I’m about to pump gas

Me: Okay Her: What are you doing right now? Me: About to watch a movie with my uncle Do you want to talk?

Her: What have you done today?

Me: Showered, dressed, ate, cleaned a bit Went out to get my lunch myself so that took a bit out of me

Her: Yes. We will talk. I just want to give you something to really consider. Your grandmother is dying. You’re up there to spend this time with her. But you said everyone is gone by the time you get up. So should she die in the hospital while you’re at her house asleep that is going to sit well with you? What have you done to be a blessing and not a burden to that household? Are there dishes in the sink, or sitting around? Is the table cleaned off? Trash around that could be collected? And sweeping mopping or wiping down that could be done? Do you call her every day, a few times a day Play online scrabble or something What is your purpose? You don’t have to answer now. We will talk shortly

Me: It has literally been one day at the hospital. I went with her and stayed as long as I was allowed. She doesn't want many visitors.

Her: Today is Thursday Okay

Me: One day. It was Tuesday afternoon she was admit and Tuesday night that I got back

Her: You’re not a visitor. You’re her grand daughter. You could just be there. Quiet in the cut chillin. Pouring water, giving her ice. Helping her to the bathroom or just being there. If everyone is gone when you get up then you get up get dressed and go by yourself. You know how to get places. You could figure it out. Or ask for help. If she’s been there since Tuesday that’s three days. Tuesday. Wednesday. Thursday. three not one. You went Tuesday. Okay and if she dies tomorrow? I understand what you’re trying to say. I need you to think bigger picture. Just think. We’ll talk in a minute.

Me: I'd rather not, if that's okay with you

Her: No. It isn’t. You’re salty and don’t want to hear why I have to say I’m salty and really pissed about how you’re living. We still have to talk to each other We can set ground rules if you need to but we’ll talk

Me: My uncles don't go to visit her every second of the day and no one is cleaning here. Would you say any of this to the people who see her every day and live in this house? Okay

Her: None of those people are my kid. Or people I speak to regularly. But if I did, yes I would. And I’m sure you know that. It sure the point of that question

 I have some things that I wrote out but didn’t send but I really just... I want to keep my mother in my life and try to understand where she’s coming from but some of what she pulls makes me want to throw myself out a window. She's my mother, for what it's worth. She got me this far. She wasn't the best, and I'm seeing her for who she truly is, but if I cut her off and something terrible happens to her, I'm going to regret that for a long time.

In a way she's right about me not really being around ummi and now it's been two days so i get where she's coming from but goddamn it she sees  things in terms of output and that's not what i have to give.

Version 1 of what I want to say to her but can't

why should i have to sit here and listen to you say the same thing over and over again when all that comes out of your mouth reduces me to what i can physically do for others? I've been helping ummi. I rode with her to the hospital and stayed with her as long as I was allowed. You might not have been here in a while but this house is too much for me to clean on my own and there's nowhere to put stuff. These are not my things, i will not move them around if no one knows where they go. I cleaned the bathroom to the best of my ability and have been trying to straighten up ummi's room. Even if I wasn't doing that, she doesn't want me at the hospital. She sent me away because she said she didn't want me to see her like this. You want me to go against her? You want me to google maps the place and go wherever? You wouldn't let me go anywhere with my friends when we lived in Waldorf and you like to say that I haven't changed since I was twelve years old. What makes you think I could pull that off?

Version two of what I want to say to her but can't

There's a lot I could say to this. I refuse to be seen for what I can physically give to other people. I could clean the house, and I have been trying to. You asked me what I did today, not what I've been doing all this time. There are four adults twice my age living in this house. There is a baby living in this house. The house is cleaner than it was the last time I was here and that's great, but since you obviously know what you're talking about, why should I be the only one cleaning a house that has always been like this and hasn't changed since I graduated high school?

What I think would be appropriate to say version 1

This conversation is very inappropriate given the uncertain circumstances and I would appreciate that you not use those circumstances to preach until something changes. Shoving a potential regret in my face will not get you the results you desire. As for cleaning the house, I was already doing that. You asked what I did today, not how my week has been. I would appreciate if we could move onto a more pleasant topic or resume speaking another day.

There was only so many times Yoongi could watch you poke your tongue out, promising something about being a fantastic dancer, thanks to Hoseok! before ridiculously wiggling your hips in the reflection of the practice room mirror before he wanted to duck into the minuscule expanse of his phone screen and wrap his hands around your waist, bury his nose into the juncture of your throat, and mutter into the goose bump lace lain of your skin how cute you were just as he had immediately after the video in question cut off.  

The bite of his smile to the inside of his cheek was replaced by a pouting frown, thumb swiping away from his camera roll. It was more impulse than calculated reaction of his conscious to hover over your contact name, momentarily forgetting time zones and which button signified FaceTime as his fuzzy blinking was suddenly met with your yawning features. 

“Hi!” Yoongi chirped, scrambling to his stomach over the neat tuck of his hotel bed. As quickly as the jump in his stomach from seeing you died were his eyebrows knitting, “Why are you awake? You should be asleep.”

Your giggle was sleepy, stretching your arm wielding your phone out to his empty side of the bed, digging at your eyes with curled knuckles. “You called me, Yoongi.”

He blinked, shyly biting his lip, “I didn’t mean to FaceTime you.”

“Okay, grandpa-”

“I also wasn’t expecting you to be awake,” The spread of his teeth grew at your soft giggle, “because you shouldn’t be awake…”

“I can go…” You curled your phone closer, peering tiredly at him, “I was almost asleep anyway.”

Yoongi nearly fumbled his phone in the rush to utter, “I’ll let you sleep, you need to sleep-”

“-I just really like hearing your voice, I’m sorry.”

You smiled fondly, tucking your cheek to your knuckles. Meticulous fingertips managed to balance your phone between the limited space between your two pillows, allowing both your hands to curl your blanket under your chin. “No, it’s okay. I like hearing your voice too.”

“I miss you,” He blurted bluntly, blinking at you through the pixel phone camera. Selfishly, sadly, quietly, he murmured, “Don’t hang up, please.”

“I’m not going anywhere, nerd,” If he were with you, you’d reach out, kiss his nose, poking his cheek, hug his waist; but he wasn’t. He was halfway across the world. 

You sighed, digging your cheek into your pillow case, “Are you in bed?”

Yoongi snorted, twisting his camera to show the embroidered pillow case sanctioned under his arm, “Do you want to know what I’m wearing too?”

“I meant,” You glared at the shy spread of his teeth, “so it’ll be like we’re together.”

His heart fluttered fondly, shifting to tentatively press his cheek into the stark white, blinking softly, “Then yes. I’m in bed.”

“Good,” You encouraged, “now tell me a story.”

Somewhere among a backstage story of Taehyung tripping over the unexpected of Jimin and nearly giving himself a black eye seconds before they were to go on stage did Yoongi notice you’d dozed off. He trailed off, chewing at his bottom lip as he propped himself up on his elbow. 

If he were with you, he’d reach out, kiss you cheek, poke your nose, hug your waist; but he wasn’t. He was halfway across the world.

Instead, he snapped a screenshot of your dozing figure, something he’d add to the folder of you peacefully dozing across his chest in various locations throughout the span of your relationship. A sudden overwhelming guilt bit at the tip of his tongue sanctioned in his teeth, keeping you awake at such a hour back home, making you listen to him ramble about the ridiculous antics of his members without asking you anything about your day.

Yoongi coughed, a subtle attempt at waking you. To his surprise, the entirely faux rumble of his throat had your eyelids shooting open, startling the makeshift stand of your pillows that sent your phone toppling backward to display the shadows of the moon over the ceiling. 

Your face drew back into frame, much closer, much sleepier, entirely more beautiful. His chuckle was gentle, hushing, “Sorry. You dozed off on me.”

“Your voice helps me sleep,” You mumbled, blinking your eyes shut. “Sorry, that sounds bad. I love listening to your stories. It’s just really late.”

“I’m sorry, I know it is,” He tilted his head, “I’ll go. I can talk to you when you wake up.”

You squinted one eye open to peer at him through the lens, whispering, “Wait.”

“What’s wrong?”

“Please don’t go,” You peaked hopefully, “Keep talking to me. Stay on the phone. It’ll-”

“-it’ll be like we’re together. Kind of. I don’t know, it’s dumb-”

“Do you want me to finish the backstage disaster?” Yoongi inquired, tucking a jean clad leg underneath the neatly tucked duvet over the bed, “Or do you want to hear about the child switching something in Namjoon’s dinner and accidentally giving him an allergic reaction?”

Your giggle lit the unabashed grin to his gums. “Obviously the last one.”

He talked until the contours of your slumbering figure fell into a near darkness, until shards of light again splashed across your cheeks as the sun rose on the other side of the world. He watched you as you slept, the gentle flutter of your eyelids, the twitch of your nose, the part of your mouth. His heart grew the next size bigger when you whimpered in your sleep until his sleep deprived timbre soothed you back into the deepest crevice of the best sleep you’d had since he left. 

The blink of his watch mocked the silent alarm notification that popped over the top of his battery drained phone. 

If Yoongi were with you, he’d slide over the crouch of your shoulders, brush your hair from your cheeks, kiss the corner of your mouth, promise that he’d be back later and soothe the stir of your stature so that he could properly prepare for the day. But he wasn’t. 

Instead, the softest of, “I love you so much,” hushed past his lips, surely meeting the scratch of your speaker to your tired ears before he reluctantly ended the call, shoving his phone to his back pocket as a sharp knock alerted came to inform him of the mornings agenda.

Hi. This is my encounter with a racist that assumed he was giving me a taste of my own medicine (yet he was not, he was literally projecting his racism onto me), with pics. I've never met this guy, nor have I ever spoken with him in all of my life. I have never called anyone a racial slur. But I will definitely call someone a beast, creature, etc., depending on their behavior (you will see an example of that). I posted 2 YouTube vids on my page last week. One is about a person that did not want to bathe and instead kept using Axe deodorant spray. It has a pale arm on the thumbnail. I came across it after watching vids about many pale celebrities (Mila is one of them, she is Ukrainian, her husband is one, he is Czech, German, and Irish; I also don't know what race the pale lady that says she only bathes once a week is- she looks biracial tho... my point is that I literally used the word pale because I do not know the races, nor the names, of all of the people that I have seen in the last month, proudly talking about how they do not bathe more than twice a week). For the record, I DO NOT know if the boy (I only know the arm is male, because the narrator in the vid said it was a boy) is white, Asian, Hispanic, Native American, etc... I cannot tell his race by his arm, so I called him pale. The second vid is of a creature that abuses the school children that she is charged to protect. For the record, NO ONE that harms a child should be considered human in my eyes. If you harm a child, you are a demon, devil, creature, or worse. IDC who gets mad at me for saying so.That being said, this thing jumped into my inbox and spewed this hatred at me. I looked at his page and saw that he is attached to a woman. I wondered if she knew about his racism and I wanted to soft blast him. So, I figured, if I tell his girl, she'll let him know that he was outed and he needs to stop before it gets posted everywhere, and not only on my unimportant page. She was more upset that I included her and her page (I added a screenshot of her page too, I did not edit anything, and she was upset about that because her mom or grandma's pic was on her page) than about what he did. So, I left the post up on my page and added her messages to it as well. I did not address the dog directly, because racist dogs crave the hurt attention of those that they attack. And I was not going to give the dog the satisfaction. I hope this post gets spread all over though. Everyone needs to see who and what he is. He could be in some other black person's inbox rn causing them unnecessary stress. Smh Animals like him should not be free to bother others. (I will include screenshots of the two vids that he is howling about)

This busy week started off with some great filming news; Someone walked thru the set and saw Gillian Anderson reading her script...  (X) We got a video of Brick from the make-up trailer! And a picture of Brick from the same trailer.  

And then, it happened. THE PICTURE of MULDER AND SCULLY IN BED, CUDDLING!!!! According to the new BTS video... The screenshot is not the best, but we have one, at least. It is exactly what we would expect from CC. Mulder’s face is weird, Scully is completely under the sheet. Like literally not a single inch of skin can be seen. But her head is on Mulder’s shoulder and they are sharing a romantic moment. On a sofa. That’s all that we saw and of course, it went how it always goes...we had more questions than we had answers. One thing is for certain, tho. Many many people are gonna go after CC in a very violent way, in case this turns out to be another cheap trick... 😄😄😄 Anyhow, here are some theories and summaries:

Fox Mulder is standing in a church, wearing a black tuxedo!!! Other fandoms would be crazy happy, that a wedding is in sight, but here, at the X-files fandom we’ve been tortured, tricked and hurt so many times that this is us: IT IS A FUNERAL. SCULLY IS DEAD. WILLIAM IS DEAD. EVERYONE IS DEAD. So, yes. Chris Carter made sure that we are paranoid and we learnt our lesson. Believe nothing, doubt everything...and fix everything. The answer to the question in our title will be revealed later in this blog, but for now, how about this map of the Blessed Isle from the Dragon-Blooded: What Fire Has Wrought book currently being Kickstarted?

We just opened up a new pair of Add-ons with the Dragon-Blooded Kickstarter: this Blessed Isle map and a reprint of the original EX3 map of Creation from the Exalted 3rd Kickstarter. Both printed on the heavy canvas that we used back when for the first printing of the Creation map. Costs for that material have risen, but it’ll be worth it for such a high quality printing lovely enough to hang on any wall (but particular a gaming room)!

With our original print-run of the canvas map of Creation having completely sold out in like a day on IPR, we thought this would be a good time to reprint since there are obviously still folks out there who want them. Combine that with the reward tier that includes both the Deluxe Dragon-Blooded book and the Deluxe Exalted 3rd book, and you’ve got the makings of some fine games.

    On to our big news from last week!

As I’ve been teasing these last few weeks, we unveiled the first episode of the Onyx Pathcast podcast this last Friday (the 13th) to what can only be described as wild enthusiasm! Which is really great, because our three hosts (hence the three mentioned in my teasers), Dixie Cochran, Eddy Webb, and Matthew Dawkins are so revved up and rarin’ to go that they’ve got topics, guests, and ideas for weeks and weeks to come.

So, that’ll tell you the basics about what the Onyx Pathcast is: a free-wheeling romp with our three hosts through what Onyx Path is up to and why. Along with inside looks at upcoming projects, advice on getting into this wacky business, interviews with creators and fans, and asides and references to all the interests and media we all share.

But let me let you in on how this whole thing happened to happen.

Some of you might remember that Fast Eddy Webb actually had a pretty well-regarded and timely podcast about a decade ago while he was at White Wolf and even into the CCP years. He and I have talked about reviving something like that for a while, but the problem was that it felt like we’d been there and done that. As excellent and fun as that that was.

Meanwhile, Mister Matthew Dawkins had become known for his broadcasts on his Gentleman Gamer YouTube channel, but was open to trying something else with Eddy that could be their way of putting out their thoughts and ideas. (The whole idea might have started with wanting to rant about professional wrestling, but don’t quote me on that. It might be a base canard). If you’ve never watched any of his vids, you should really check them out. There’s at least one fascinating interview with a devilishly good-looking founder of what was then a brand-new TTRPG company that sounds something like Ronyx Rath.

When we pivoted the company into our current configuration with Dixie joining Eddy and Matthew as our in-house developer team, they all got really excited about the possibilities for a podcast with all three of them bouncing their ideas and asides off each other. I think it was Dixie who coined the Onyx Pathcast as a title – which might be something she’ll regret as I liked it and we are running with it now!

For us, this is our first step into further Onyx Path-based ongoing online content, and we wanted to start with something that the Terrible Trio (or Terrific Trio, as I switch back and forth calling them) felt they could do well in the medium and grow with. We’re getting on Google Play for Android (it might be there already) and will be on iTunes as soon as we can make that happen. We’re adding a video montage and new logos for the show in order to post it on our YouTube channel, and we’ll see if folks enjoy it there.

The next is episode is April 27th as they intend these to come out every two weeks, and will feature the Trio interviewing the talented and busy Meghan Fitzgerald about her many projects for us, including Changeling: The Lost 2nd, and the Exalted 3rd monthly releases. Check it out!

      Also going live on April 27th is the Slarecian Vault: Scarred Lands Community Content site on DTRPG.com! We’re thrilled to be able to open up this legendary setting for projects created by the Scarred Lands‘ community that has loved and been loyal to the battered but still epic world of Scarn. As we look to the next phase of rebooting the Scarred Lands for play in a time of D&D 5e and Pathfinder, both on tabletop and virtual tabletop, we’re really looking forward to seeing what our community dives into in the rich wealth of possibilities offered by Scarred Lands.

In a lot of ways, having our community create and spread ideas for SL is the best chance to get this setting we love into the hands of the much larger PF and 5e communities – who we think will love Scarred Lands once they know about it – since the d20 craze when we first launched it.

      Finally: How Do You Get To Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice! But in the case of LisaT and myself, you get there because you have talented kids who sing and their HS choral groups sing there. Which is what our son will be doing for his last time in High School next Monday. Unfortunately, right during our Monday Meeting!

Fortunately, Mighty Matt McElroy has volunteered to both run the meeting and to post next week’s Monday Meeting Notes blog in my absence. He’ll also be telling you about our new and exciting plans for the rest of our Onyx Path blogs, not to be overshadowed by the Pathcast!

Hopefully, this Herculean task does not overcome even Mighty Matt’s mighty thews! I’m sure that if all of you think evil thoughts, that will power him up. (Usually he prefers lots and lots of caffeine, but this is a special case).

We’re at just over a week to go for EX3‘s Dragon-Blooded Kickstarter and we’re over 400% funded with over 1850 backers so far!

We’ve hit 24 Stretch Goal rewards, and counting, including a t-shirt, two more silk bookmarks (at least!), increased art budget, a Dragon-Blooded novella, adding on the Storyteller Screen, opening up additional Reward Tiers for more custom charms and artifacts; new Charms, 2 sections of info on Lookshy, 2 sections on the Forest Witches, 2 sections on Outcastes, Cadet Houses, and Prasad to the Heirs to the Shogunate Dragon-Blooded Companion PDF and lots more! Phew!

  As we try and find ways to enable our community to more easily play our games, the Onyx Dice Rolling App is now live! Our dev team has been doing updates since we launched based on the excellent use-case comments by our community, and this thing is both rolling and rocking!

The devs have added a whole bunch of new game lines’ dice and rolling bg’s and got caught by a bug Apple needed to fix, so be sure to update your app and soon that should be fixed.

There’s been tweaks to all elements of the UI, you can now preview every die type in the store, and you can use multiple die types per roll! Here are the links for the Apple and Android versions:
