Aziraphale's desperate need to always do good and be good. It just guts me every time.
He keeps trying to figure out what "good" really means and whether his actions fit that label. Our introduction to his character starts with him trying to figure out whether he did the right thing by giving away his sword and panicking when he considers the possibility that it wasn't. I just hope I did the right thing.
He can sometimes act "holier-than-thou" because that is what Heaven wants him to be like, and therefore he feels the need to be a "good" angel.
But it's interesting to see him discover what "good" can truly mean as he spends time around humanity, more specifically how good and bad are less strictly defined than he thought and the world exists in shades of grey instead. Maybe there is something to be said for shades of grey.
However, at the end of the day, I still think he tries not to be a good angel (someone who does everything Heaven tells him to), but a good being (someone who cares deeply for the people around him and wants to protect them, the way he has from the start).
And I need him to realise that he is good, not in the rule-abiding way he initially tried to be, but good as in someone who tries everyday to make the world a better place.
MARS. POST THE DOODLE OF SCOTT AND CLEO CUDDLING AND MY LIFE IS YOURS
so I don't usually post doodles because I'm very self-conscious about their quality, but just for you harper
So that doodle was actually in a series of other doodles all in the theme of "literal sleeping together" because that's one of my favorite things ever, so I might as well put them all here then
some of you forget that it was originally going to be eddie and tommy but that storyline fell through so for all you bitching about how we’re never going to have a canon queer eddie… baby he already is. we’re just waiting for his turn.
