if you had to give each intern a pet, what would you give them and why?

Gisu needs a scrappy little mutt dog she found on the street that digs up mystery bones for her I just know she would love that so much. She would kill and die for her dirty little stinky street dog.

Lizzie needs a snake. Maybe it is partly her snake tattoo telling me this but I just already fully believe that she has a cool snake in her dorm. Because she would freak out the other interns with it and also she would just love it wholeheartedly despite not having a lick of zoolepathy (much to Compton's dismay)

Morris needs a crow. I can't explain this one really I just need him to have some sort of weird bird that can talk. I'm thinking specifically a psychic crow that just he just sort of encountered one day out in the Quarry and bonded with.

It is so hard to pick one for Sam because Sam is so Sam, y'know. I feel like she is best friends with that whale (pls forgive me I forgot her name) Part of me wants her to have a bunny for Coach Oleander mentor reasons. Getting along with a little rabbit in a normal way that doesn't involve crazy death threats or explosions with those two challenge: impossible. I think the ultimate pet for her though would be a goat. Because it's virtually indestructable and equally as crazy as her.

Norma and Adam seem less like the pet-keeping types to me but hmmm......

To Adam I give a sugar glider. He would keep it in his shirt pocket and i think it would be really cute to let it fly like doing silly tricks with his yo-yo. I think he would love a weird little critter like that. Like he would talk to it a lot just right at its blank stare.

I give Norma a weird little ferret. She would be really not into the idea of keeping a pet at first but then would become obsessed with her ferret and not talk about anything else and everyone would want her and her ferret to go away I am sure of it. She could wear it around her neck like a scarf and it would burrow in her big backpack and she'd carry it around with her too.

Working with cyrus repliiku to flesh it out x3 he was the one who got me into the game and im CRAZY NOW!!!!

The four alpha scrybes methods of inscribing cards are that Harley uses his magic blunderbuss and the things he shoots become cards, Roxys cards are the fantasical characters she creates in her stories, Jane will be a detective of death, uncovering how cards die and writing up a casefile in her detective agency about them (might give her a magic magnifying glass. Well see), and D1rk were trying to figure out something with Sburbs captcha card + ghost captcha system like how Po3’s cards are printed from real robots

The students/the scrybes underlings are going to be other homestuck characters or splinters!

D1rks will be the robots (aradiabot, arquius (wanted him to me more unique than just brobot + hal so he gets to be a robot) and jadebot.

Harleys will be jake-ish splinters rather than new characters. Thered be the Adventurer (prospector), the Hunter (trapper/trader), the Sailor (angler), the Ectobiologist (mycologists), and the Actor (woodcarver) and his campaigns would be more Action packed like jakes action movies type stuff hehe

Janes will be the dead trolls, nepeta, equius and feferi. Not much to say besides them being dead lol 😭

And roxys were still figuring out but nerm. Viceroy/Casey, Rose (maybe goobert but they are actually nice and kind to her) and Eridan….(lonely wizard he was banished to the shadow realm for being annoying 😁👍)

Luke Carter is going to be Calliope and Satan in the greater scheme of the daniel mullins-verse will be Caliborn/Lord English because i think itd be very funny for him to just. Be making video games and thats his evil plot. LOL and Sado would be Gamzee. (Will not expand to pony island or the hex this is just clearing up the ending of inscryption)

Kaycee would probably be Aranea but like just some normal girl. Not all that sure abt the OLD_DATA tho ??? Maybe just all the wrong doings Lord English has committed and influenced culminated into the files or the code that brought him into the universe I DUNNO.

Retconning the drawing i did when i first scribbled this AU, i believe when harley turns the other scrybes into preexisting cards d1rk would become a seagull (kingfisher replacement) roxy would become a jaguar (wolf replacement) and jane would become a jackalope (pronghorn replacement) 😁

And the way harley would be defeated would be using his blunderbuss on him with a special bullet instead of film. Po3’s decapitation fulfilled the Dirk prophecy too LOL

I think that of the gameplay/card gimmicks themselves would work basically the same but i might try and come up with more creative homestucky twists on them

Im planning on finishing the designs and making sprites and more mockup screenshots :3

2. For the cryptid AU, it seems like everyone kept some remnants of their weaponry/knowledge. You've talked abt Engie purposefully not using his buildings, so I'm curious about what might have happened to the Medigun/s

First off: sorry to reply so late !!!

I wanted to reply to your question properly and take my time to share my process, so I waited until I had time to do so.

Anyway:

First question

I've filled up a lot of sketch books over the years and on of the problems I had was the emptiness of the pages.

I used to draw very small and like... one drawing per page.

I always loved how scrapbook looked, but was never able to fully integrate it in my sketch books (I'm still working on it)

Until I saw what David Armsby sketch books looked like. I mean, they aren't really sketch books but they included drawings and they looked so good ! They made me realize I could totally do something like that !

I started really trying to implement scrapbooking things in my sketch books one or two years ago. And I really should have stared sooner.

So, how do I go about it.

1. Colored paper

Usually when I start a new page I just draw what I have in mind. Then I'll glue pieces of colored paper in some of the empty spaces to draw on top of. Like this page for exemple:

I first drew Old medic in the center, then glued the two red papers and drew on top of them. Doesn't really matter what drawing will go on top of which paper. The whole point of this is to make the page seem more full and busy.

There are two other ways I use colored paper. One, I draw directly on the colored paper, then glue it in my sketch book, or I cut it depending on the size of the drawings:

And two, I already know what I will draw and I want to use colored paper to add to it, for exemple those Medic faces:

Then, you can use all of those on the same page:

Note, you can use all kind of paper, all colors, texture, motif, etc... You can also glue colored paper on top of different colored paper, go nuts, I'd recommend looking at scrapbooks for inspiration. Or any core and aesthetics you like really.

Also, I haven't used then yet but I bought thoes:

These are just craft packs I found for cheap. They provide really cool paper I can use in the future. I also have a pack of normal colored paper.

2. Hate space

Try to fill the page as much as possible.

I've learned to hate every small inch of blank space on each page, if there is any I will try to find a small drawing to make or a doodle or glue more paper etc...

And if I don't find anything I'll come back to it later.

I'm still struggling with this part 😅 

3. Stickers and tape

Another thing that can help you fill your sketchbook are stickers and colored tape.

If you don't have any idea of what to put to fill a hole it's very easy to just stick a sticker there.

The tape, I use for places a piece of paper would be to big (I usually write the date on it)

All in all, Just put whatever you want. You can add glitter, glue seashells and flowers and leafs, or candy wrapper even, the choice is your's really.

You should be proud and happy about your sketch book. It's yours, have fun with it !

Second question

I'll be easier to replie to this one 😅 

Most of the weapons were left at the base, like Sasha and, yes, Medic's medigun.

But that's normal, Medic was sent to a mental hospital, I don't think they would let him bring his medigun. Same for Heavy, he just went to get back medic, he didn't really need Sasha.

Sniper and Demoman still have their weapons because they were already quite affected when they left and already acted somewhat aggressively so, naturally, they brought their weapons whit them.

Sorry for the ramble in your inbox incoming- I'm a really huge fan of your analysis type posts like the ones about Cathal and recently Flint ;A; So I hope its ok to maybe throw in my own 2 cents about Cogs/their society- (Sorry this gets rambly I thought about this last night and writing this like an hour after waking up lol)

I think what alot of people kind of (I wouldnt say ignore- more of:) don't really get is that I dont believe characters like Cathal or Flint have bad tendencies because they really want to in a way, (I kind of worded that poorly but point is) but because their society rewards and encourages that type of behavior. I think you said something kind of similar on Cathals post- But especially for Flint, whose a Bossbot (Who are literally the embodiment of a toxic workplace and elitism. I believe a old snippet from the TTO magazines says "They have no real skills of their own, just the ability to push down others and stay on top!" Or something to that nature.) he has to be demanding and imposing. There is no benefit to him in being kind. (Like looking at Misty for example) And don't get me wrong I don't believe that if Flint and Cathal were removed from Cog society they'd be better/objectively nicer (Like Flint not being condescending to Toons and Cathal not making people do things for him and being encouraged to try) But I do wonder how much of it is pressure, or how much of it is egged on and rewarded. Atleast in the aspects it relates to how they treat others.

(..And also I wonder what happens to Cogs that don't get jobs and are seen as ..not functioning. Since Graham was freaking the hell out in "Meeting Of Two Minds" over the possibility of not getting the job. I have a whole thing about this actually in my oc lore but thats another thing entirely I'll write about someday I swear)

Also I gasped when I saw the doodle of Graham in the MSI shirt finally a MSI listener Graham truther. I think he'd like the album "How I Learned To" and of course "You'll Rebel To Anything". I associate him mainly with the songs "Lights Out", "On It", and "You're No Fun Anymore" :p (This has been my favorite band since I was like 13 and now I get to spill all my opinions xD) I always imagined him doing the guitar backbend their bassist does! And my final hc is that Flint plays bass and Graham plays the main guitar. I think it fits them .. some people overlook bass when its actually pretty hard to learn from what I hear and vital to the song. (Like heres Feel Good Inc w/o the bass.. feels wrong x_x)

THe biggest issue with Cogs Inc is that it REWARDS and ENCOURAGES these poor behaviors, worsening these characters as people. ESPECIALLY cathal considering the position of power they’re in. I’m sure it applies to a ton of other cogs too, but unfortunately I haven’t gotten to them yet bc I’m not as insane abt them . LMAO

And yeah since cogs are literally built for work, it’s a wonder what happens to those who can’t find a job as easily as others. Hoping that gets built on since it’s clear in MOTM that these cogs have to actually apply and go to interviews and probably face some trial and error to land a job, just like people IRL.

ALSO. THE BAND HCS. I love it and you’re SOOOO RIGHT about the backbend that is so grahamcore. And yes I’m pretty sure Flint does play bass, I think his creator mailman said smth abt that on their blog . AND IM SO GLAD YOU BROUGHT UP FEEL GOOD INC bc i did draw flint in a demon days shirt in that same animatic . And ive def drawn them in the same shirt a couple times in the past too . I’ve always imagined him to be a Gorillaz fan, maybe graham too

(this one from today) this dude lives rent free in my head, still trying to make his gijinka more interesting, i dunno, also trying to draw other types of hair, mainly curly (main reason i even wanted to change the one i had) here im just practicing, hold on im rambling and going in cir- next

remember last post when i said i was gonna drop some kirby doodles but choose to draw other stuff instead, from this one to down, these are those doodles. i scrambled to search for my crayons but i coulnt find my blues and purples, and also my pink, at least i have the others. sometimes i get the need to draw with stuff like that, im thinking about buying pastels, i rlly like the art i see with them, but im afraid i might not like using them that much and end up wasting money, it has happened quite a few times with stuff like acrylics.

welp, already knew abt the story, i just bought deluxe for the epilogue (fun fact, rtdldeluxe released on the 24 of february (if i remember correctly) two days before my birthday, needles to say i ate good that day (and also because the sploon3 dlc would drop two days later too) i also have a exclusive rtdldx poster for the pre-order :3 )

aaand then i procrastinated it and basically took up almost a year to finish the main mode and magoland missions, then beat magolor epilogue in like 4 hours, already kinda talked abt magolor epilogue in another post so basically, loved it, wish there was more stages there or to be abe to even further upgrade abilities.

rn im doing extra mode (a bit reluctant because im only doing it for the 100%) not rlly liking that mode a lot, but its ok, bad thing is that ill have to do the true missions in magoland, its gonna be a pain

first i was gonna make it a gijinka, but i didnt like how it was turning out so i did it with normal kirbs, i think it was suppossed to have some inplied kirfluff, i forgor

(You ever make an AU based on a single line of dialogue & some concept art that gets stuck in your brain and refuses to leave? Yeah, that's what this AU is. The placeholder title is 'The Upcoming Storm', and is an answer to two questions: What if the Roaches followed through with their plans for a Thunder cordyceps? And what if one of Leif's ancestors decided to look into their disappearance?

So this is Cerice, their ridiculously energetic lesbian daughter [who they don't know is their daughter yet; she doesn't remember that they're her parent either] and host of the Thunder cordyceps! Don't worry, Grandpa and Muze still exist - Grandpa's her son. However, Team Snakemouth is split into two teams - Team Snake and Team Mothden - but they still work together. I might make a separate post abt it if anyone wants me to ^^)

a sentient immortal grape that photosynthesize gunpowder and explode at will + regenerate itself at a moments notice. it was grown in a lab and escaped just to kinda run around out in the wild and have fun (not really on purpose it just got lost) and it usually expoads itself as a self defense mechanism against animals eating it (it can survive being food but it just doesnt like the experience) ive had this oc since i was like 8 maybe. im fond of this Orb also here are some phone doodles of it

(ref by my gf @nachtkern, various phone doodles by Me) This is Tesnik :) bitchboy guy who accidentally fused himself with an ant as a kid and gained the ability to disintegrate any part of his body into ants at will and he just decided to own it and live with it. he used to be an info broker and used his ants to manually spy on ppl + blackmail them + sell out secrets and got really rich that way but got way in over his head and got himself in a huge mess that ended with him Maybe (or Maybe Not) indirectly orchestrating the deaths of several people after his throat and afterwards he was like "man i dont wanna do all that again. im gonna be normal now" and now makes a living running a small cozy antique store with wares he collected and restoring old paintings. but he still spies on people with his ants as a bad habit of being nosy and just wanting to Know things at all times. he is my oc Ever. there are some ocs i have that i like a bit more than him but if i comm someone to draw my oc its always this guy and no one else.

ok lastly this is Eirian.... i dont think i have any actual finished art of him but i love him to pieces hes a dumb loser idiot with a very low opinion of himself hes unapproachable and aloof and kind of a weirdo but hes very loyal to the ppl he cares abt and he cares for others really deeply. he has an obsession with his knife collection he loves knives and finds them really cool. also he can do parkour and loves getting into fights hes very rowdy. he has 2 sisters and they r all triplets he's very clingly with one and absolutely hates the other one (but not really he just finds her annoying.) I technically have 2 versions of this oc, one whos just Some Guy (as described above) and another whos the same guy but like a high fantasy au version. I dont wanna say Too much bc my gf and i kind of made a whole story abt it that we might do more with someday but in that version he's the disgraced prince of a kingdom that starts living on the run after killing his father (the King) and joins a travelling circus as an acrobat while trying to evade authorities and punishment from the rest of his family. i need to draw more of him hes a very special oc 2 me.

i feel like with bigb there's like.. this distinct flavour of angst that's not quite edgy enough to be people allergy and not quite self-loathing enough to be nonsense speaker (although if your headcanons for him land more in that territory i highly recommend those songs).

there's like this specific flavour of dulled acceptance he has with his own shortcomings that i don't see talked about often. it's not like he doesn't care, he just goes with whatever happens to him like his opinion doesn't really matter and no one listens anyway so what's the point in trying to fight it. he's like the quiet middle child who doesn't 'cause trouble' so he gets overlooked as a result even if he's technically doing everything right lol

What’s the first fandom you can remember being a part of and would you consider yourself still a part of it? hmm y’know i was just thinkin about how involved i’ve actually been in fandoms, and i gotta say i’m pretty inactive in them (as in i don’t produce a lot of “content” for them) and tend to just enjoy the series by myself or with a friend. i consider my contributions to a fandom to be my art for it and i don’t think i post art frequently enough to really Be a member of a fandom. but i don’t mind that!

to actually answer the question though, my first was likely pokemon. specifically mystery dungeon because hero x partner videos on youtube (LMFAO) were what introduced me to deviantart, and then the ✨rest of the internet✨. i still love and draw pokemon, but i don’t think fandom culture is really for me LMAO so no i don’t– and never really have– considered myself part of any fandom.

2. What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received? What’s something you always wished you could be good at? oof, many things. i wish i was generally more crafty (cosplay, plush-making, etc.), i wish i knew my way around some sorta weapon tbh, like archery? and i wish i was handy with tools n such. ooh and storytelling, i have a lotta doubts abt my storytelling abilities. OH and i wish i had more common sense/street smarts T_T) i’m aware a lot of these develop with practice, but like.. omg my brain is always so full, setting aside time is difficult LOL. but hopefully i’ll get to try them someday :”)

If you were given complete freedom to plan your dream vacation, where would you go and what would you do there? it’s nothing really unique but i just really wanna be someplace tropical in a quiet and remote area. buy fruit from local street markets, hike up scenic mountain trails. Y’know. and just fuggin paddleboard and swim and relax on the sand all day long (the coarse kind of sand that feels like a sugar scrub). also my dog has to be there with me. and it’s a permanent vacation. i will live there.

What are you looking forward to in the foreseeable future? it’s not guaranteed to happen but i’d love to move into a place with a close friend or two, and we’re all doing our best and cooking for each other and playing video games together,,, i’d really like that. edit: since writing this i’ve actually begun some moving plans with a group of friends WAAAHH i’m so excited :D we’re going to test our roommate compatibility this summer!

10. What’s a piece of advice that you’ve always found useful? hmmm i can’t think of any especially profound advice to share, but the phrase “lefty loosey righty tighty” helps me remember which way to screw screws, twist a hose faucet, etc.

tsukasa has to wake up extra early everyday bc he has an extensive skincare routine

one time he tried dancing in the shower and almost fell so he now he thinks abt the dance while singing

he usually sleeps like a starfish but sometimes curls into a ball

he loves holding you and rambling abt musicals and shows hes watched recently (he makes mental notes on what you like and always gives the best recommendations <3)

when he was little, he claimed the loft as his room bc he thought it was cool

now that hes older he wishes he had four walls (esp with his family complaining abt how loud he can be bc the loft def projects his voice lmao), but he still thinks its cool

tsukasa loves sharing food with you!! when you order at a restaurant, he likes putting both of your dishes in the middle to share with eachother (idk if this is normal outside of where im from lmao sorry)

I've never been so happy to wake up and see an even longer wall of text than the previous night. You're always more than welcome to send me your headcanons whenever you'd like and if you have a name or emoji or anything you want to be referred to as lmk :) I hope you don't mind me commenting to your headcanons and adding on to them.

The Tsukasa ones are so good. I've never really thought much about how he got his loft bedroom until seeing this and I love this headcanon. Like, I've thought it was weird how a teenager could deal with a open bedroom like his, but with Tsukasa I pretty much thought that he just doesn't like the closed in feeling of an actually bedroom and feels more comfortable with a more open and bright room.

Thought it's not a very common thing in U.S., at least as far as I have ever seen, I adore the idea of Tsukasa (and Rui) sharing his food with his s/o. I've thought for a while that he would often make an extra bento to give you. Doesn't matter the occasion, he is often spontaneous with his actions and just likes to make things for you to enjoy.

Rui doesn't seem to be very strong but I like to think he has some good arm strength from moving around is robots, so I'm sure he could pick some up for a short time. If he hasn't seen you in a few days or so, the moment he sees you he'd pick you up and spin you around, playing around and acting like he seen you in months. He would get very clingy when tired and doesn't want to let go of his s/o when it's time to get up. He's pretty quick to fall asleep but does his best to help lull you to sleep if you can't sleep. I love his voice so much and it's so soft so it would be very comforting to have him hum or sing you to sleep.

Lot of hangouts between him and his s/o being spent in his workroom with him working on whatever and you doing your own thing but knowing you're there with him makes him so happy. I like the idea of him only actually liking to clean and do chores if you're there with him.

He does love to make you trinkets. Maybe he'd get into wire art or something like that and would make you some intricate flowers and even necklaces or other jewelry with stones or gems inside them that hold a special meaning.

I bet the whole group has a discord together and it being fun chaos, full of the most random memes, show ideas, play bickering, and changing each others names to funny or random things,

Hey do you want to talk about your FFTA OCs?? I want to hear about them...

OKAY i've had this ask sitting for a week and im so sorry abt that! I admittedly do not have... much for my FFTA OCs buT what i do have I really really dig so I hope that this interests u too, anon! gonna put this under a cut just cause it might get a little long!

this is all based on characters I had during my last FFTA run and I kind of want to develop them as FFTA2 OCs as well cause I like the class selection in the second game much better. But for now here's my current somewhat developed members of Clan Nutsy!

all of their names are subject to change of course, and I do have other clan members in mind but I just haven't really drawn them at all yet FHLSD.

Mac is a White Mage, but spent a lot of his time in Clan life as a Black Mage. His last Clan before Nutsy was a rogue-ish group that hunted down bounties and targeted other Clans in Jagds, so a real nasty crew.

I have a headcanon that Black Magic affects Humes differently than Nu Mou or Moogles, who are also proficient with it. Which is why Black Mage Humes look so like... weird in comparison? Because Mac spent a lot of time involved with Black Magic and he was committing evil acts, his hands became permanently "scarred" and look all weird. they dont hurt or anything, but people would probably be super uncomfortable with seeing them.

Because of this he covers his arms in bandages, and he left his old clan on bad terms. he's kind of on the run from them because they really dont like when people leave!

At this time I like to think of him as the de-facto leader of the clan! personality-wise he's wise but hot-headed, and intelligent but absolutely stupid in some cases. His experience with various magics, though, make him a strong force to be reckoned with. He's absolutely the definition of the "I'm a healer, but-" meme

Roker is like the clan's second in command, and i ABSOLUTELY ship him and Mac. Roker is kind and strong, and wants to support his clanmates with his own two hands. He has simple motives but he has pure feelings. genuinely the best person.

My idea for him is that he used to be a part of the Castle Guard as a Templar, but abandoned that once a corrupt king came into power. He spent time as a sword-for-hire before joining Clan Nutsy as a Gladiator. both he and Mac get along in a lot of ways because they have somewhat similar backgrounds, but they butt heads since they have different approaches with most problems. They balance each other out and I love them.

Roker's dream is to someday retire and live in the country or something. he's a lovely guy and MAN i just love Bangaa in general. I have more in mind besides him but nothing really fleshed out.

Finn my BOY is a Mog Knight with a lot of Gunner abilities, so I like to think of him as having a Gunblade (even tho like obvs thats not in the game). He drinks, fucks, and overall is kind of just a fun guy to be around. But he's definitely a hard hitter on the team. I don't have much else for him but i love him.

Odonel is my Moogle Juggler! He has some Tinkerer skills as well, and he's kind of just a chaotic little fella. I adore his design a lot and I wanna draw him more and flesh him out but he's probably got the least out of this whole group in terms of concepting and stuff put into him.

and lastly my two Nu Mou! Kief is the one on the left here (art colored by my lovely partner btw!) and Elaine is the one on the right! Kief is relaxed and peaceful, a real chill guy. He specializes as an Illusionist with some interest in Beastmastery, even though he SUCKS with monsters. Elaine is transfem, and i like to think she was closeted when she joined the clan and then came out to her found family and everyone was like "fuck yeah" because that makes me happy. She is an Alchemist/Sage and she is also pretty darn powerful. I think i like the idea of her getting close to Kief, admiring his open nature and then kind of opening up to him about her gender experience and stuff. idk idk idk all very early concept stuff but it makes my heart worm.

but YEAHH thats all i rlly got so far!! if anyone has ideas im always open to them but also KJFLHDSF dont be sad if i dont go with ur ideas or smth im just here to have fun

I’m glad some people like this au sm!! its a personal favorite of mine ngl

Luz has found that, often, between each town theres often just...nothing. just rolling hills, mud, maybe a small dirty stream or two, and telephone poles (half of which lost the wires connected to them long ago). the most foliage she ever sees is in the clump of forest by Bonesborough and around labs, whether or not they’re abandoned. and the cornfield but we dont count that bc Luz is pretty sure the only thing keeping that corn going is sheer demonic spite. this means that typically, unless you learn to keep low and avoid bright flashy colors, everything is very easy to spot on the horizon. Luz and her friends have spent so long out there they’ve learned to move close to the ground and can hit the dirt in a millisecond if needed. they’re both unnerved but also thrilled whenever they stand out in the open with nothing to hide them. bc on one hand, oh god, anyone could see them. but on the other hand, if they’re purposefully standing out in the open, chances are there really isn’t anything dangerous nearby for a LONG while. and its fun to do things you normally don’t have the comfort to be able to.

Luz, Eda and King like to explore the abandoned towns around the Boiling Isles. not the farms or the watchtowers, but actual ghost towns, often ones that had bigger buildings than Bonesborough. running across buildings and slipping into alleyways to see what they can scrounge up. usually its junk, but Luz likes exploring and seeing what the towns used to be like. finding toys, trinkets, furniture, and the like that Eda steals (”not like the owners are gonna want this back wherever they are”, as Eda would say) anything she mildly likes. Luz notes that most of the towns look like they were never disturbed. like these people were all going about their lives and then suddenly vanished in the middle of the day. Luz wonders what happened to those towns. she also wonders what happened to the towns that look like they were ransacked and turned upside down, just short of the buildings being burned to a crisp in a riot. but sometimes she’ll find a pet that managed to survive and fix them up before setting them loose around Bonesborough. sometimes her neighbors will take in the pets they find, and Luz supposes at least something could be salvaged.

Gus keeps a handheld recorder and has Logs and Entries on his days in Bonesborough and working with his friends to stop the scientists, which he later uploads to his computer. Willow complains and says its dangerous to log stuff like this, since someone could find his recorder and figure out everything. to quell this, Gus always hides his computer in a new spot in his room and never takes it with him on missions, as well as putting a self-destruct device in it, should he find that anyone stole it. he and Amity later bond over having log entries, since Amity has her diary that became a journal of all she does. theres no self-destruct in the journal, but Amity also hides it in a new spot all over the lab all the time and has come to terms with the fact that someday she might have to burn it. but for now, she and Gus bond abt it and Luz is v proud of her friend & frenemy(?) getting along.

in an old abandoned lab theres one of those really slow elevators thats completely made of chain-link with a chain-link guard around it. Willow and Gus use it like Normal people but Luz is overly dramatic for no reason whatsoever so the first time her friends were poking around the lift, she decided to grab onto the chain-link guard and climb up it to the second floor like a feral squirrel. and then refused to look Willow in the eye when they figured out it was an elevator. Luz has now made it her mission that, every time they visit that lab, to scale up the chain-link like the bastard she is bc shes stubborn and thinks it looks cool. she did it to show off to Amity once and Amity is Very ashamed to admit it lowkey kinda worked

the first of my more detailed posts abt each of the human souls! these are basically just lil intros to each of the characters with drawings of a bit of their lives on the surface before falling down!

onto the basics for this lil dude! this is tim, the purple soul, perseverance. they’re 14 years old and use they/them pronouns!

some notes since i don’t have a clear idea of their whole personality

-they’re pretty introspective over all, always aware of what of what they’re doing wrong or right

-they like keeping journals, hence the notebook. they end up doodling in them a lot, but at the end of the day, they always end up with a somewhat complete entry

-they don’t consider themself to be good at a lot, but it never crosses their mind to just give up on anything

-they want to be a writer someday. they’re very technically skilled, but don’t have the same creativity or ideas of most kids. they end up writing and editing for their friends’ concepts a lot.

-they probably have several mental disorders idk i haven’t thought too far yet but i get the feeling they’re one of the least emotionally stable of the souls

-they’re really bad with kids and animals with the only exception being spiders (i didnt even mean to connect this to muffet while i was writing but i just realized shes the one who turns you purple why did that happen)

-they got the furthest out of the other souls when they fought asgore

-they’re really forgetful sometimes. they never clean their glasses which is why they’re all cloudy and everyone wonders how the fuck they can see (i may be writing abt myself here a lil bit)

-im thinking maybe they met gaster in the underground? in my mind they were the first to fall down so he might have been alive at that point idk
