#Grays been emulating windwaker on his pc and I’ve been watching time to time. Reminds me of playing it the first time years ago #I really like the graphics on the hd version with the colouring and everything.. and everything is cartoony #Although it also gives me a fear of the ocean because of its sheer size. Rant post.

People setting off illegal fireworks pisses me off. They’re the worst and just causes anxiety for animals and people. It’s 2023 and I swear I hear them more often than compared to 2019-2021. They sound like gunshots ESPECIALLY if shot after 1-2 AM. Fireworks are a dumb way of entertainment. How they get their hands on illegal fireworks I don’t know.

At this point, I’ve accepted that fireworks are going to set off the most in July than the rest of the year.

Why did I get paranoid about how no one has checked the work I submitted yet. It’s literally Sunday

#i mean i signed up for this last night in like the middle of the night #but i guess they either automate the sign up procedure or they have saturday office hours #it is based in the usa so if they work saturday afternoons they will have gotten my stupid application at a regular time #oh it’s freelance work. it’s basically just writing and proofreading #i just want to get approved so i can actually do the thing and then i can make at least a little money and not completely lose my mind #as i continue searching for a job. and also! when i get asked about the gap in my resume i can be like ‘yeah so i was actually freelancing’#it will also make the job search a bit less urgent and calm me down a bit if i have an income stream in the meantime. i think #like i won’t have to apply to stuff i genuinely can’t do just because i need a job (like factories or care work. neither of which i should #probably really be doing on account of the dodgy knee)#but yeah. i was sooooo paranoid but literally… i did like 16 different example tasks for them. it took me well over an hour so it’ll #probably take a lot of time for them to mark it #i just hope they don’t reject it. that would be embarrassing as fuck. ma in english; i’m qualified to teach esl AND high school english…….#if i fail at proofreading i will simply just cry #the thing i feel like could screw me is i didn’t really understand the guidelines on maybe the first task or two because i can’t read #apparently. also i use british spellings and it’s an american company. i also didn’t realise grammarly was there and ‘helping’ me for a hot #minute. i was like ‘what are those squiggly lines for’#look if they don’t want to keep me i’ll just keep scouring the subreddits and find something similar. it’s fine. it’s all good #this would just be perfect for me because i love writing and i love correcting other people’s mistakes lol #personal

I dressed up as a light rail train from my local transit agency for Halloween and someone took a picture of me during my morning commute and sent it to them. Little did I know that my transit agency posted the pic, and across platforms it’s gotten over 1.8k likes?!? Multiple people stopped me on my way home to ask for pictures or talk to me cause they’d seen me online. What a weird day.

#if you live in Portland and saw the pics of the MAX guy? that’s me lol #most of the comments online have been really sweet too which has been nice #especially since I was really stressed out and couldn’t sleep last night because I was nervous about wearing this costume #I also find it funny because in the picture from the morning I was on my phone. What was I doing on my phone?#I was studying for my transportation operations exam. literally caught me on transit dressed as transit studying transportation #overall the costumes reception has made me very happy and to me highlights exactly what I love about Transit.#because of my costume I’m making people smile and I’m getting to talk and connect with folks around me #many of whom I’ll never see again. my costume is helping connect my community and build bonds between us #that’s what transit does! when you share that space with other people and talk to them you are connecting with people in your community #people who you likely won’t ever see again! but those conversations still matter and are good!!#they connect us all to each other #everyone is a neighbor on transit. we are all connected on transit. we are all transit users.#and that’s a community that stretches into almost every other subcommunity in the community at large #transit connects people - not only from place to place but also with each other #googoogajoob
