I love how whenever ATLA recognizes Sokka is smart enough to solve a problem but it’d be too fast they just stick him in some kind of situation. Like he COULD’VE stopped jet from drowning a town so they tied him up and dumped him in a forest. He COULD’VE figured out what that spirits deal was so they lost him in the spirit world for 24 hours.
Saw a post that said Sanji and Zoro both have the experience of starvation as a defining moment of their lives and I just,,,, the way Sanji feeds strangers and even his enemies because he refuses to let anyone else go through what he did,,, the way Zoro will eat anything put in front of him without complaint,,,, they make me so ill
So! Danny has known that he was adopted since he could remember. His parents never hid that fact, and always told him the story of how they found him abandoned in the Woods as a baby.
He was always somewhat curious about who his real parents were, but he never really put much stock into that little curiosity. After all, Jack and Maddie were his Parents, and nothing would ever change that.
Until one day when he is Training with Pandora and she notices that he resembles somebody she knows very closely. As in, he looks almost exactly like her if she was born as a male.
So, unbeknownst to Danny, she contacts Clockwork and asks him to confirm. He confirms this, and offhandedly mentions thay Danny has never met his mother and is curious about her.
A little while later, she is having Tea with her niece Diana and just as she is about to leave back to the Afterlife, she off-handedly mentions, "Also you should come around to visit one of these days, Ancients know your Son would love to meet you!".
And Diana has a Heart Attack. Because she did have a Son, with Bruce, but he was stolen away when he was born and she didn't know if he had survived or not.
Before she can ask Pandora to elaborate, she leaves. And now Diana has to wrap her head around the fact that her very much dead aunt has actually met her Missing Son.
So she thinks Danny is Dead. She thinks that he was killed after being kidnapped as a baby and that he found his way to his Great Aunt in thr Afterlife.
I get a little crayz seeing this specific shot of Ivan...Ivan putting on a mask makes me crazy. It's the way his expression doesn't reach his eyes, the lack of sincerity in his smile.
But in the second image, he looks so annoyed he can barely care to school his expression and you can SEE the grimace in his eyes (EYE LINES!!!). There's such a stark difference in the persona he puts out there for people perceive him as vs how he naturally is gthybwsdgyc__(I need to see more of Ivan's natural expressions)
I’ve been thinking a lot about how the society doesn’t really seem to react or gossip about how close Pen and Colin sometimes are. Some have said it’s because of how Pen is perceived in society and a spinster so no one in the ton thinks that an eligible Bridgerton man could be interested in her romantically. I believe it’s the contrary. And I think this commentary kinda supports this idea:
“All these rules are to keep the marriage mart churning. But once you have performed your function and found your match, you are free.”
“It’s an intriguing perspective that, one assumes, much of the ton shares. It also casts a new light on Colin and Penelope’s interactions thus far. From day one, they’ve always been a little (or a lot) closer than society allows. They think nothing of being unchaperoned alone, talking about highly personal things, or even physically touching. There’s a casual intimacy there, and it only becomes a “problem” when the ton begins scrutinizing them more closely. Symbolically, they are already on the level of an old married couple, with the freedom and intimacy it allows.” Amanda Prahl - Scene Breakdown: Colin and Penelope’s Dance in Bridgerton’s “Old Friends” (Marvelous Geeks Media)
Like yes, when they’ve been written about in LW then there’s gossip, or when Colin interrupts that dance then there’s scandal, but the rest of the time? Not really, no. Like the willow tree? The sweet stand? The repetitive dances they have throughout the season? The fuckin “come with me”? There’s talk at the end of season 2 sure but for how close they are most of the time this is nothing. This is just some teenage boys being immature and unkindly teasing Colin (it is basically what that is). My guess is that Pen and Colin have always been so close that the ton doesn’t really question it. Of course young girls still throw themselves at Colin because he is eligible and of good fortune and that’s the horrible game they’re all playing. Try to catch the biggest fish in the pond. But what strikes me for example is when Cressida says “Eros and Psyche battling it out”. She says it so nonchalantly. There’s not a hint of a question or surprise. She acts as if it’s obvious and there was no other plausible situation. And you can argue that she says it this cause she’s Cressida or that it advantages her because then Debling is available, but I think that in that moment she’s probably voicing what everyone else in the ton is thinking. That it’s a given. That there was probably always something unspoken between Pen and Colin, thus allowing them to act as they have with the freedom and intimacy it allows. The unspoken but well known fact that these two were always meant to be for each other
Isolde, you don't have to guilt-trip Vertin. She's going to keep checking on you because she cares about her arcanists. She did the same thing with Jessica.
Isolde's so lonely and desperate. She's made awful decisions and hurt many people, her past does not justify that. But we can see how she got to this point and it's heartbreaking. However, I think she'd manipulate Vertin if the Timekeeper ever became an obstacle.
Right now she is treated as a "patient" and it seems like she can't leave the Suitcase freely like the others (which makes complete sense since she is a bonafide terrorist) . If the Timekeeper's department didn't exist she'd probably be locked away for a very long time or have her brain messed with. I don't know how well she'd fair in Artificial Solumnbalism but brining up repressed memories is one of its key features.
That being said, whether she's trying to manipulate Vertin or not, if she's feeling that lonely Vertin will keep visiting on her own volition. While she's grown somewhat fond of Vertin now (increased bond), I'm certain that comaderie would go up in flames in an instant under the right circumstances.
At the very least, Vertin is a convenient bandaid for her loneliness to tide her over, but she's not the "resolution". I wonder if she knows the "resolution" she wants also works under Vertin...
What if Whitney sees you at the park one fateful day? Would she be able to do anything when she sees you all beaten, bruised, and used?
Would Whitney get scared or angry when you stumble over to her and start choking her with your bare hands as anger and hatred is all she could see in your eyes?
This picture is from Ingo and Emmet's visit to a theme park. Ingo spotted a Litwick mascot while they were there!
Honestly, that Litwick mascot that they have at Universal Studio Japan is really cute! They added a bunch of Ghost type Pokemon mascots and food for Halloween!
