Tumblr media
Never in a million years did Jungkook expect to be in this position. He’s a tough man, always clad in leather and thick rings, covered in dark tattoos, riding around on a loud bike with his club patch adorning his back.
Yet here he was, laying on his back with his arms above his head, while your cute self sat perched on his hips, eyes sparkling and a giddy smile on your red coated lips. All because he was so inexplicably weak for you.
“This is what you want?” Jungkook questions for the first time in the span of ten minutes.
When he arrived home earlier, hands holding a giant plush teddy bear with a bouquet of sunflowers and baby’s breath between it’s paws, his attention was momentarily on the two dogs at his feet yapping for him to acknowledge. Jungkook had been too focused on petting the tiny furballs to notice you weren’t in the room, but when the usual feeling of your hands sliding around him in greeting was missing, he stood back up with a look of confusion.
It wasn’t until he wandered further into the house, following a small trail of rose petals that lead from the front door all the way to the bedroom, that he finally spotted you. Sitting on the center of the bed in the dimly lit room, a few candles scattered on the dresser and nightstands, flames dancing and illuminating the scene in a warm glow, casting your form in a golden hue that left you looking unreal.
A silk ribbon lingerie set that matched your lipstick hugged your curves, tied up bows covering your nipples, completed by a matching garter belt hugging your waist with gold detailed chains dangling down to your thighs. It was as if you had taken a screenshot of Jungkook’s deepest desires and brought them to life, placed right in front of him, positioned perfectly in order to pull him in.
“Happy Valentine’s day,” you had murmured so sweetly, hands placed delicately over your thighs with your legs tucked under your butt, slowly beckoning him over when he had stood in a state of shock at the door.
It didn’t take much to get Jungkook wired when it came to you, but seeing you covered in silk ribbons, looking like the perfect present he wanted to unwrap, made his mind blank. It’s that same horndog dazed look on his face that you knew so well, roping him in with your tender kisses and roaming hands, marking his skin in shades of red in a trail from his neck to his ear. This is not entirely how he thought the night would go, his earlier plans blanking from his mind, the teddy bear he held now placed on the nightstand while you lured him in.
“I wanna try something,” you had suggested, soft breath tickling his skin and turning him into a puddle at your feet.
“Anything.” Jungkook meant it, always willing to do whatever you wanted with unmatched enthusiasm. So when you brought out a jute rope and used your sultry voice to ease him onto his back, slowly undressing him until his top half was bare, he could feel his heart thumping erratically in his chest.
The question he had asked minutes prior continues to hang in the air as you loop the rope under a final time and pull the bight through, pulling tight to lock the knot in and tugging gently to double check that it wasn’t pinching his skin. The red rope compliments his skin, the double-column tie keeping his hands snug against the bed frame in the perfect position.
“This is what I want,” you confirm, fingers trailing from his bound wrists, down the veins that covered his arms, and the black ink that painted his skin. Jungkook felt a trail of fire that followed your touch, burning his skin with molten pleasure while you continued down onto his chest, fingertips feeling the bumps of the golden chain he always wore with your initial on it. You admire it for a brief moment, loving the way it glimmers on his chest before your hands continue their path, sliding down until you reach his sides, hands cupped over his ribs and feeling the racing of his heart.
“Nervous?” you tease, teeth biting down onto your lower lip, your thumb gently soothing his skin. You had half the mind to be a brat and tickle him, knowing he had no way to swat you away like he always did now that his hands were tied to the bed frame, but you could see the small shivers racking his body from being in this position. Jungkook was horny, and a little intimidated by you.
“You make me nervous. Always look so pretty,” he trails off softly, eyes glazed over as he observes you. There would never be a time where Jungkook wouldn’t stare at you like you were the reason the sun came up every morning, your scattered kisses mimicking the constellations you swore he placed in the sky. Everything on this earth reminded him of you and he wouldn’t want it any other way.
“Yeah, you like this?” you wonder, hands coming up to trace along the straps of your lingerie with a knowing smile. He takes another minute to admire the silk fabric, eyes focused on the caged bralette hugging your boobs, ends of the ribbon covering your nipples and bouncing when you lean back to give him a better view. The matching underwear with a tiny heart cut out of the front was the cherry on top, silky material felt along his skin from your position. “I bought it just for you.”
A small groan escapes him, tongue coming out to swipe at his piercing before he’s biting down on the soft flesh. Jungkook loved you in absolutely anything you wore, but knowing you had gone out of your way to pick this out had him wondering just how many other options you had hidden away. He’d definitely be bringing that up once he wasn’t focused on the sweet sound of your voice.
“That makes me feel special.” His hands move to touch you, so accustomed to gripping your hips whenever you’re on top of him, he forgets he’s currently restrained until the bed frame rattles and a small burn is felt around his wrists. A wince reaches your ear before he’s relaxing once more, briefly looking up to remind himself that he was tied up before looking back at you with those doe eyes that always swoon you, just now understanding what a compromising position he’s in.
“Nuh uh,” you tsk, wagging a finger at him playfully. “You can’t use your hands today.”
Jungkook honestly didn’t think this through before accepting, not realizing just how much he loved to grope and hold on to you at all times. “What's your plan? Tie me up and use me until you’re satisfied? Because that sounds like one of my fantasies.”
A sly smirk curls your lips, eyes clouding with lust, and it makes his stomach flip. He knew you meant trouble whenever you had that look on your face, and the current situation leaves him a little wary—and excited—for what you have planned.
“Should I blind fold you too then?”
His eyes narrow as he stares at you, a small frown turning down his lips, clearly displeased with the suggestion. “Alright, that's taking it too far. You know I love staring at you, baby.”
Jungkook slowly ruts his hips up, cool belt buckle felt along your clothed core, pushing against you when he repeats the motion once more. It makes you shiver while you lean forward, resting more of your weight against him and seeing the teasing grin on his face. Tie him up all you want, he’d even let you contort him into a pretzel if that's what you were into, but blindfolding him and preventing him from seeing the pretty faces you make as you moan over his cock? That was sick torture.
Thankfully you weren’t totally cynical, agreeing that Jungkook bound to the bed frame with his muscular arms held up was more than enough. “I’m just teasing, Guk. You look good like this though.”
Wiggling a perfectly shaped brow at you, he already feels his cock hardening underneath you, the small ruts of your hips joining his only spurring him on further until he’s aching in his jeans. “C’mon, do whatever you want to me baby.”
Jungkook holds his breath when you lift your hand up, slowly reaching across to tuck a strand of his long hair behind his ear, thumb gently tracing the tiny scar marking his skin with a smile on your face.
“I will,” you whisper with mischief in your eyes as you shuffle off his lap, nimble fingers undoing his belt clasp with ease, enjoying the way his stomach tenses with anticipation while you unbutton his jeans and pull down the zipper. His impatience shows when he lifts his hips, eager to have you yanking the denim from his thick thighs, not satisfied until you’re tossing the material aside, landing in a heap right beside his leather jacket on the floor.
The black briefs he has on do a good job showcasing his growing bulge, slowly tenting the fabric when you gently trace your finger along his thighs, following the bold lines of ink on his skin. Almost like a ritual, you place a soft kiss to the double-headed wolf shaded in black before your fingertips dip beneath the waistband of his underwear, tugging them down his hips smoothly.
Jungkook audibly groans at being released, hard cock bobbing in the air slightly with small beads of precum collecting at his tip, already hard and heavy just from looking at you. The prettiest veins line the underneath of it, guiding your eyes all the way up until you reach the pink mushroom head, just waiting to find its way into your mouth.
“Fuck, I love your cock,” you marvel, pulling his underwear down all the way and letting it join his pile of clothes on the floor. He lay completely naked now, chiseled body out in the open for you to drool over, and he’s not opposed to it. The fiery look in your eyes while you trailed your gaze over every inch of him only made him squirm, desperate for you to touch him, to show him just why you wanted to have him tied up.
“Show me how much you love it,” he rasps, teeth sinking down on his lip when you stare up at him, slowly lowering yourself until he could feel your breath hitting his skin. Your eyes are trained to detect any of his movements, from the bob in his throat when he swallows as you wrap your hands around his cock, to the tensing of his thighs when you place a teasing kiss to his swollen tip, taking note of his reactions to your touch.
A shuddering breath escapes him at the contact, once again forgetting about his limited range of motion when he goes to touch you and the headboard shakes behind him. It makes his wrists sting as the rope rubs against his skin in the same spot from before, but he couldn’t help it. The way you’re kneeling between his legs, back arched while you lean forward with your ass jutting into the air, he just wants to reach forward and give it a good smack like he always does.
You know Jungkook inside and out, so as much as he was trying to act like he was okay with not being in control, you can tell he’s edging closer to becoming a desperate, frustrated mess underneath you. The small whine he releases when he settles his arms back into place shows you that much, and another glance up at him allows you to see the tiny grimace painting his features now, brows pinched together while you continue to tease him.
“Wanna hear you beg for it,” you sigh, loosely pumping him in your hand, hovering your mouth above him when you stick your tongue out and let a thick trail of spit drip onto his cock. Jungkook hisses slightly at the visual, eyes focused on the way your spit mixes with his precum as you swipe your thumb along his slit.
“Baby,” he whines, rutting his hips up and frowning when you inch back to prevent his cock from nudging your lips. The wicked smile on your cherry coated lips sends his mind spinning, fingers clenching in his palm when you tilt your head at him innocently.
“Beg Jungkook. Wanna hear you.”
Your hands tighten around him, making his thighs tense as his hips rut up once more. “Fuck,” he cries out, raspy and desperate. “Please baby, make me feel good. Ah, just wanna feel your mouth please—“
His rambling gets stuck in his throat when you wrap your lips around the head of his cock, gently flicking your tongue against him and having the salty taste of his precum fill your senses. Jungkook’s chest heaves when you hum around him, red lips circling his length as you slowly sink down, the warm wetness of your mouth making his blood simmer.
The weight of his cock on your tongue has you mewling, eyes fluttering shut when you take him an inch further, gently hollowing your cheeks to suck in time with your hand. Jungkook can’t form a coherent thought now, focusing on the messy way you suck his cock, leaving it nice and shiny each time you pull back. Strings of spit drip down his length and gather around your palm, the wet thump of your hand coming down mixing in with the obscene slurps of your mouth.
“I like you like this,” you breathe as you pop off his dick, hands gliding across his length with the help of your saliva. It’s a torturous rhythm you have going, knowing exactly what to do to make Jungkook writhe around, applying just the right pressure, focusing on all the parts that you know would drive him crazy.
“Yeah?” he manages to speak, arms flexing in their restraints when you lick a stripe up his length, swirling your tongue around his pink tip with a smile on your lips.
“Mhm, you sound pretty when you beg.”
“Fuck,” he groans. “You’re lucky I love you baby.”
“I love you too,” you hum, the familiar warmth filling your chest at his confession just as strongly as it did when he first said it. Although he’s being playful you know how deep his words go, you can tell by the look in his eye, and if that wasn’t enough then the mere fact that he was allowing you to tie him up said it all.
“How much more do I have to beg to get you to sink onto my cock?” The muscles in his neck tense when he throws his head back, gasping as you take him back into your mouth, sliding further down than before. His stomach hiccups once his cock nudges the back of your throat, muscle tightening around his length when you gag slightly at the feeling. Jungkook’s lungs forget how to function at the sight, your red lips pulled taut around his girth as you slurp back up only to repeat the motion again and again until he’s tensing underneath you, stomach caving in each time he hits the back of your throat.
The breathy whine that spills past his lips has your underwear dampening with arousal, thighs rubbing together when you lift off of him once more, feeling the lust growing inside of you with each moan he releases. Very rarely did you ever get to see Jungkook like this, pleading for you to make him feel good, nights like that typically reserved for the days where he was exhausted from the club, easily becoming a needy mess in search of a stress reliever. But this version of him was new, and you wanted to savor it a little longer.
“Beg a little more for me, yeah?” Your eyes sparkle while you speak, sitting back up between his legs. His cock is left alone when you bring your fingers to the sides of your underwear, gently tugging at the knotted silk on each side to undo the garment, allowing you to slip them off while keeping the golden garter chain attached.
Once Jungkook gets the view of your glistening folds, he doesn’t need you to ask twice. Instantly, he’s pleading to feel the warmth of your pussy around him, begging to see the look on your face once you sunk onto him, needing to hear the wet sound of his cock slipping into you. “P-please, wanna see my pretty baby use me. Wanna—fuck—wanna feel you cum around me.”
The soft skin of your thighs rub against his when you reposition yourself, straddling his lap with your pussy hovering a few inches above his length, and Jungkook can’t look away once you slowly lower yourself onto him. His lips press together at the sensation, the wetness coating your folds helping you grind against his cock, lower lips parting around it as you rock forward. It’s a teasing motion that tortures the both of you, the head of his cock just barely nudging against your clit each time, but it’s enough to have him groaning.
“Baby,” he whines again, jaw dropping open, brows furrowed together as his eyes move from the spot between your thighs, looking directly at you and seeing the sinfully evil smile you have on. The weight of you on him, keeping his cock pressed against his stomach while you grind against him, has a pool of precum gathering below his belly button, leaving a sticky mess on his warm skin.
“You wanna feel me?” you tease, letting your hands rest on his chest, tracing the skulls marking his skin and gasping when he ruts up in time with you. Your nails lightly dig into him when his cock rubs against your swollen clit with precision, biting down on your lip to prevent a moan from escaping.
“Please, let me feel you,” he whispers breathlessly, mind hazy with lust, skin tingling with each roll of your hips. You let his pleading go unanswered for a minute, enjoying the way his abs clench in time with your hips, smiling when his arms yank at the restraints in his dazed state, small moans leaving his swollen lips while he stares at you.
“Because you asked so nicely,” you smirk, bending forward to place a tender kiss to the edge of his lips, pulling back for a second as he chases your mouth before appeasing him and allowing your lips to meet in a heated kiss. Jungkook gasps into your mouth when your tongue slips past the seam of his lips, tangling with his while you reach between your bodies and grab his cock.
A slight raise from your hips allows you to lead him to your entrance, bulbous head prodding the tight ring of muscles, slowly breaching through in a familiar stretch. It didn’t matter how often Jungkook felt the warmth of your walls, his reaction was the same every time, moaning unabashedly into your mouth, the glide of your walls against his cock leaving him breathless. He’s patient as you ease onto him, continuing to kiss you, swallowing each other’s moans and pants until he bottoms out once you’re fully settled on top of him.
The full feeling of Jungkook’s cock would never fail to make you weak, curving just right inside of you, nudging the perfect spots like it was meant to be there. Your palms on his chest let you feel each rise and fall of his lungs, skin slightly sweaty to the touch, heart racing even faster than before. The wet smack of your lips separating fills the brief silence, faces inches from each other and the half lidded gaze Jungkook gives you makes your stomach fill with butterflies.
“You always feel so good,” you keen, lifting up slightly before sinking back down, becoming more fluid as you get used to his size. His body trembles slightly underneath you, rugged pants felt against your face when he groans at the feeling of your velvety walls wrapping around him beautifully.
“Don’t tease me,” he sighs, arms flexing and mind going foggy from the slow pace. The pretty pout on his lips when he whines makes it all worth it though, lets you relish in the small sense of control he’s given you.
You give in to him though, knowing just how bad he wanted this, allowing you to do what you pleased to him, and the least you could do was give him what he wanted too. With a soft smile, you’re bending forward and placing a kiss to the golden chain, not feeling the way his heart skips a beat as he stares at you, the warm light of the room casting you in an angelic glow that only made him fall for you further.
“Sorry,” you giggle, grabbing his chin before you kiss him, sweet and tender as if you didn’t have him bound to the bed frame. Jungkook can’t even make light of it all, a choked moan of your name reaching your ears when you pick up the pace of your hips, skin slapping together each time you come back down.
His hooded gaze meets yours, locked onto your every move: the bounce of your breasts while you ride him, still caged behind that bralette he couldn’t rip off with his hands, thighs tensing with the rise and fall of your hips, pussy sucking him in each time, arousal dripping down his length and staining the sheets below you.
“Fuck baby, just like that.” The husky drawl to his voice ignites a small fire within you, hot desire building inside you. The euphoric feeling spreads to every limb on your body, the thickness of his cock spreading you apart deliciously, taking over your rational thinking the way it always did, leaving you drunk off his cock as you succumb to the feeling of it all.
He smirks lightly when you quiver above him, core tightening each time the head of his cock nudges deep inside you, rubbing along the sweet bundle of nerves he knew all too well. Your hips continue to lead you back to that same spot, cursing each time the jolt of pleasure courses through you. A trembling moan blends in with the sounds around you, walls tightening around his cock when you lift up, resting more weight on his chest when you lean forward for leverage. The angled position has your clit brushing against his pelvis, delicious friction that makes your orgasm creep up on you.
“Fuck Guk,” you whimper above him with your eyes fluttering closed, missing the awed look he gives you, how his eyes trace the arch of your brows when you pull them together, following the curve of your mouth pushed into a pout with lips coated in a sheen of your saliva—something he desperately wants to feel against his own lips. Jungkook doesn’t fail to see how the table has turned, how easily you’ve become the whiny mess you were so determined to have him be. He loves it like this though, loves to see you shuddering with ecstasy, all because of him.
“You gonna cum?” he wonders, voice thick and dripping with want. No longer passive, his thighs tense as he starts to fuck up into you, chuckling when you lean fully over him, allowing him to do more of the work once you start to lose momentum. A strained moan is your only response, cheek pressing into his chest as he pistons his hips into you, the lewd sound of your skin slapping together louder than before. Jungkook smiles down at you, seeing the way your body rocks in time with his thrusts, mouth dropping open while you drool over his cock.
“C-close,” you cry, nails digging into his skin, half moon indents blending in with his chest piece while you try to find your bearings. With a bit of struggle, you lift your head once more, eyes glazed over with lust and you frown at him. “This was s-supposed to be about you.”
His hips speed up now, fingers itching to reach forward and cup your jaw, wanting to bring you closer to kiss the frown from your face. “This is about me. Love seeing you like this.” Jungkook groans as you get impossibly tighter around him. “Cum for me baby, please.”
His begging is what pushes you over the edge, wet gasp sticking to your throat once your climax washes over, incoherent mumbles of his name sounding like music to his ears. Your body trembles above him as your juices soak his cock, slurred curses spoken into the air while another gush of wetness escapes you, leaving his thighs wet with remnants of your orgasm.
“My pretty baby,” he coos, continuing to rut into you as you whimper, sensitive walls pulsing around him, sending light sparks of overstimulation through you. “Let my arms go angel, wanna make you feel special too.”
Still drunk off your high and vision spotty, you weakly nod, fingers slowly undoing the knot you made until his hands are finally free.
In a flash, he’s pushing you back onto the bed, messy cock slipping out of you in the process. Once his large hands are gripping your skin, everything feels right with the world, soft flesh between his fingers when he grabs your ass as he flips you over, exactly where they belonged.
Jungkook takes his time, allowing his palms to roam your skin, acting as if he hadn’t been in this exact position last night. He traces over the golden chains along your thighs, admiring them like you had admired the chain on his chest, following them to your waist, up your back until he’s unclasping your bra and finally discarding it to the side.
The sudden movement has you dazed, not even realizing when he had pushed you onto your knees with your hands holding you steady. The soft material of the sheets is felt beneath you, fingers gripping them while you whimper in anticipation.
“You had your fun baby,” he sighs, fisting his cock and leading it back towards your drenched entrance. “Let me have mine.”
“Jungkook,” you mewl, arching your back further for him. His palm soothes your skin once he gently sinks back into you with a wet squelch, both hands now gripping your hips when he starts the quick pace you were both accustomed to. Your thighs spread further apart for him, keening when he sinks deeper into you, fisting the sheets as he filled you up.
Jungkook is focused on the view of his cock stretching you open, how you’re creaming it each time he pulls back out, more of your arousal coating your thighs in a sinful mess. “Love this view,” he groans, one of his hands rearing back to deliver a rough smack against your ass, smirking when the flesh jiggles from the force. The sting spreads to your core, makes you squeal in surprise as your skin smarts and tingles, warmth intensifying when he swiftly delivers two more smacks to the same spot. “Love you.”
The sweet confession makes your walls tighten, a small cry released into his sheets as you rut back into him, meeting his thrusts in time with your own in a messy rhythm. “Love you too, so much—fuck.”
“Do you?” he jests, leaning over your body until his golden chain dangles against your shoulder, free hand clasping over yours and digging into the mattress. “Is that why you wanted to tie me up?”
A playful laugh escapes you, turning into a filthy gasp when he speeds up his thrusts, thighs smacking against yours, bed creaking under the movement. “Yes,” is all you can choke out, shivering at the ticklish feeling of his chain rocking along your skin.
“You gonna let me tie you up next time and do whatever I want to you?”
“God, yes. Whatever you want Jungkook.” He huffs out a laugh, knowing you mean it, knowing you would indulge every one of his desires with no questions asked. You were his match made in heaven, aligning perfectly with every one of his wants and needs, and he’d forever wonder how he got lucky enough to have you enter his life.
His right hand reaches for your face, cupping your jaw and turning you to face him, lips meeting yours in a frenzy. His fingers dig into your cheek, tongue slipping into your mouth with a shared moan, hips never losing their momentum. It leaves you in a haze, sighing into the kiss when his tongue tickles the roof of your mouth.
“Wanna fill you up,” he whispers between smacks of your lips, letting his tongue trail against the seam of your lips before kissing you again. “Leave you nice and messy.”
“Please,” you pant, jaw slack when he angles his hips, cock hitting your gspot with precision, your sensitive walls spasming around him. “H-harder.”
“Whatever you want baby,” he murmurs, giving you another kiss before straightening up, both hands tightly gripping your hips while he gives you the rough pace you asked for. Your upper body gives out on you, face burying into the sheets as your senses overflow with him, body jostling forward with each snap of his hips, nipples grazing the sheet beneath you and making you mewl.
The sweet moans of your name he lets out, fingers burning your skin as he holds on to you, cock filling you up perfectly, it's all you can think about. And when he sneaks a hand around your body, fingers meeting your sensitive clit, you nearly shriek at the stimulation.
Jungkook feels his own climax creeping up his spine, giving your ass another slap and groaning when you tighten around him. Your thighs tremble against his, hands yanking the sheets while you melt into his touch, moans getting breathier with each flick of his fingers. The pressure builds in your core, whole body tensing up when your second orgasm of the night makes itself known.
“Guk.” It’s a guttural moan, needy and drawn-out, your hand mindlessly reaching behind you in search for his. He grabs it instantly, lacing your fingers together and anchoring you to him as your mind starts to float, continuing to circle along your clit with his hips never slowing down their intoxicating pace.
With a final flick against your bundle of nerves, you’re pushed over the edge once more, falling head first into your orgasm so fast it shocks you. Your eyes slip shut, flashes of light displayed against your lids, goosebumps flaring across your skin while the white-hot pleasure consumes you.
Jungkook curses at your walls sucking him in, attempting to milk his orgasm out of him as he continued to fuck you through it. Your hand grips his tightly, soft mewls filling the air while your body twitches and shudders, breath hiccuping as you come down, knees barely able to hold yourself up. His strong hold keeps you steady, golden chains around your messy thighs swinging from the force of his thrusts.
“Shit baby,” he grunts, thrusting into you in quick bursts, desperate to feel his release. Your thumb gently rubs along his palm, quiet pleas begging him to fill you up, wanting to feel his cum drip out of you the way you loved. Jungkook’s hips lose their rhythm, fucking you with urgency, jaw clenched tightly when the familiar feeling overtakes him. With a few shallow thrusts and another quiet proclamation of love, he’s pushing deeper into you as he cums, warm bursts of white painting your walls, filling you up until it drips out of you around his length.
The harsh breaths of both of you fill the now silent room, the thrumming of your heart felt in your ears as everything settles around you. Your limbs feel sore already, ass aching from where he delivered the harsh slaps, but the dopey smile on your face shows no complaints.
You’re the first to move, gently prying your hands apart and allowing him to slide out of you. The slight gush of his cum escaping only makes you squirm, more so when his fingers stuff it back into you with a chuckle. He can’t look away though, focused on the thick globs of cum coating your folds, disappearing once more as he fills you up again. When you whine in protest he slips his fingers back out, smiling sweetly before he peppers kisses onto your back.
“I’m just trying to prevent the sheets from staining.”
“Yeah right,” you snort, flipping over onto your back and smiling up at him. These sheets were as good as ruined, they typically were whenever you two decided to roll around and make a mess. “You’re trying to knock me up aren’t you?”
He only rolls his eyes while he crawls over you, long hair framing his face while he gives you his boyish smile. “Maybe,” he shrugs, placing a tender kiss to your lips before kissing the tip of your nose.
When he pulls back, you let your hands cup his face, taking a good moment to admire your boyfriend, tracing every one of his features that you had memorize, your favorite being the slope of his nose leading to the curve of his lips, second favorite being the tiny mole below his mouth that you loved to kiss. Jungkook always let you take as long as you wanted, staring down at you with glimmering eyes and a sweet smile, taking his own moment to admire you as well.
“Did you even notice the gift I brought you?” he questions lightly, eyes looking over to the teddy bear and bouquet of flowers. Your head cranes back to see what he was talking about, letting out a delighted gasp when you spot it. He snickers when you twist around on the bed, scrambling over to grab the cute gift in your hands, sniffing the flowers once you do.
“I love them,” you beam, fondly staring down at the plush toy with the sewn on heart, both your initials embroidered onto it. “Sorry I ambushed you earlier.”
Jungkook grabs a pair of his sweats from his drawers, slipping them on before handing you one of his shirts once he stands beside you. He didn’t mind his own plans for the night being slightly derailed if it lead to this. “Ambush me all you want,” he sighs, wrapping his arms around you from behind, resting his chin on your shoulder. “Just remember, you told me I could do whatever I want next time.”
“Yeah, yeah. I know.” His playful laugh fills the air when your elbow digs into his side, making him squirm, arms refusing to let go of you despite your attack. He only loosens his grip when you turn around, hands falling around your waist as your own hands settle around his shoulders.
“Happy Valentine’s day. I love you.” His smile is wide as he looks down at you, cheeks pushing out in a way that keeps his innocence and makes you want to pinch them until they’re pink and he’s giggling for you to stop.
“I love you more,” you breathe out with a matching smile, leaning up to press a kiss to his lips. He sighs into it, letting himself melt into the slow motion, hands bringing you closer to him as he deepens it. But before it could go any further, a yap and a few scratches to the door pull you apart.
“You sure you want kids?” you joke when he walks over to open the door, the two dogs rushing into the room for attention, stretching out their legs onto you as their tails wag.
Jungkook settles onto the floor, allowing the youngest dog to climb onto his lap, standing up to lick at his jaw. “If it's with you, I want twelve.”
You can’t hold back the loud laugh you let out and he joins in, turning to stare at you when you playfully nudge his shoulder with your foot. “Keep dreaming Six. You know you’re not ready to give up your bike just yet.”
He knew this, perfectly content with the two dogs you currently had, only enjoying teasing you with the ridiculous number of kids and dogs he suggested. But Jungkook also knew that when the time was right, things would fall into place. And as he stares at the room, seeing an abundance of photographs of the two of you, newer photos showing the puppies you had adopted, there's only one thing he’s certain about: as long as he's with you, nothing else matters.

Genre: fluff Words: 3.200 Prompt: 90s grunge boy Jeno x female reader
Warnings: smoking, mentions of food
A/N: Literally no one asked for this but this just poured out of me the other day... EVERLONG JENO IS MY COMFORT CHARACTER OKAY??
Everlong masterlist
“Do you want to go out to grab lunch? You don’t have classes until later as well, right?” Your best friend asked as she dragged you out of the lecture hall. “Sure,” you smiled, basking in the rays of the sun for a while after being stuck inside an auditorium with barely any daylight for two hours straight. “There is this cute new diner a little off-campus and a little birdie told me there is this super hot guy working there,” she wiggled her eyebrows to which you could just groan loudly, making her giggle in return. Mimi had talked you up during orientation days and you two hadn’t seperated since. Sharing majors surely helped with that and soon you had found a small group of girls to call your friends. While she was very much the flirty, extrovert in your group, a crush on a different boy each day of the week, you couldn’t not be fond of her shenanigans when it made all of you laugh out loud whenever she told stories of yet another drastically failed date. “Not everyone can still be with their Highschool boyfriend like you,” she accused, slapping your arm before tugging you in the direction of the diner. “Are we really going to this diner just because someone told you that one of the waiters is hot?” “Listen. This was a very trustworthy source,” Mimi pouted, “I’ll pay for your meal, just come with me please.” “How can I say no to free food?” You laughed loudly, letting her pull you along while complaining about all the assignments your professors had given out.
You had to admit that the diner was really cute. It had this old-school look inside with the red, big sofas and a variety of license plates decorated the walls and the female servers even wore cute puffy skirts. “This is so pretty,” you said once Mimi had chosen a booth, the leather of the sofa squeaking while you sat down. “Yeah, yeah,” she waved it off, looking around the place, “Now where is this hot waiter?” “You’re hopeless,” you giggled, picking up the menu that was already laid out on the table to look at their food options instead of helping your friend. “Shut up,” she grumbled, copying your action, “You also still haven’t introduced us to your boyfriend.”
“Yeah,” you sighed, “He’s...” Well, what were you supposed to say now? If it were to go how you had wanted, your friends would have already met Jeno at the first party you were invited to but he had declined the offer, only sweetly kissing your head and promising to pick you up at 2 am from the adress you had given him. Which he had done but by that time everyone was so wasted that they couldn’t remember a thing. Which had become a reoccurring theme, no matter how much you’d bribe them to not drink to finally catch a glympse at him. “If you all would stop drinking yourself into a coma every time we go out, you’d have met him already.” “I am beginning to think you’ve made him up,” Mimi grinned, “He seems way too perfect. Letting you go out and party on your own and picking your drunk ass up after but then he never shows up to your classes to walk you to the next one.” Well just maybe you hadn’t gotten around to telling your friends that Jeno in fact wasn’t even studying but working different part-time jobs to help finance your apartment until he had figured out what he wanted to do in the first place. They had just assumed he was studying something way different than you hence why you wouldn’t meet up during your breaks. “Well he is real,” you sighed, “He’s just... Different?” “Oooooh, I get it,” your friend grinned, “He’s older than you. Oh my god. Do you have a sugar daddy?” At that you let out an embarrassed screech which made her double over with laughter. “Why would you say that?” You whined, “He’s the same age as us, for real.”
“Hi ladies, I see you’re already having a great time. I’ll be your waiter for today, have you already decided what to get?” A deep velvety voice interrupted. You didn’t need to look up to know who the waiter was or what he looked like because his voice was almost as familar to your ears as your own was and you knew his body inside and out. Smiling brightly, your eyes met Jeno’s who was also smiling, throwing you a little wink. You had known that he had been working in a diner for a little while now but not this specific one so it was a nice surprise to see him here clad in a neat button-down and pants that for once weren’t ripped to shreds. Meanwhile, Mimi was stunned in silence, her mouth parted in what must be awe. “Hi,” you kept smiling at Jeno, “Anything you can recommend?” “Our burgers are pretty good,” he shrugged, “But what’s really good are our milkshakes.” “Then we’ll take that, right?” You asked your friend, kicking her shin beneath the table to get her to snap out of it. “Y-yeah sure,” she stuttered, still blatantly gawking at Jeno. “Great, I’ll be right back with your drinks,” Jeno smiled before walking off again.
“Girl he’s so hot oh my god,” Mimi exclaimed as soon as he was out of earshot, dramatically flopping down onto the table. “He’s really good-looking,” you admitted, a big grin on your face. “Better than your boyfriend?” “I wouldn’t say that,” you laughed, awkwardly shuffling in your seat. Was this the right time to tell her that the waiter apparently a lot of girls were thirsting after was in fact your boyfriend and probably not at all like they thought him out to be? “God, I bet he looks so good out of his uniform as well,” she groaned, “Just the thought of him in light washed denim.” At that, you had to mask a burst of laughter with an awkward cough. You had tried times and times again to convince Jeno to swap out one of his dark jeans for light-washed ones but he wasn’t budging, only in turn challenging you to wear one of his many black baggy T-shirts instead of your brightly colored spaghetti tops. “Sure,” you giggled instead, kicking your friend’s shin again to alert her when Jeno came back with your drinks. “There you go, food will be out in a bit,” he smiled politely. Not the kind of smile that turned his eyes into beautiful crescents but a more reserved one.
“Hey, uhm,” Mimi suddenly spoke up when Jeno turned around to walk away again, making him halt in his steps. “Have you been working here for long?” Oh god. You had to physically keep yourself from cringing at her awkward try to rope him into a conversation. “Just a handful of weeks, so not that long,” Jeno shrugged, “Looking for a job as well?” “Oh no, we both work part-time at a clothing store downtown,” she waved it off, “I was just wondering because I had never seen you around before.” “Well yeah, makes sense I haven’t been here for long.” “So you recently moved here? I’m sure I would have remembered a handsome face like yours,” Mimi now blatantly flirted, twirling a dyed strand of hair around her finger and just slightly leaning forward on the table to give Jeno a better view of her cleavage in her white cropped top. “Yeah, I’m not from around here,” he shared, his eyes firmly staying on her face but the redness of his ears and how his fingers were fiddling with his little notepad betrayed his cool facade. Was this the time where you should end this to save Mimi and Jeno from further embarrassment? Or should you enjoy this for a little longer? “Are you also a student?” She asked next, “We both go to university here.” “Oh god no,” Jeno exclaimed and this time you couldn’t hold in the little giggle that slipped past your lips, noticing that your boyfriend’s lips twitched into a little grin as well. The more Jeno saw you struggle between classes, essays and study sessions, the more sure he had become about his whole decision to not do the whole university thing. Just when your friend wanted to ask the next question, a loud voice interrupted: “Jeno, I am not paying you for flirting with customers! Get back to work!” Rolling his eyes at his boss, Jeno shot the two of you an apologetic look before quickly walking to the register where his boss was waiting.
“God, even his name sounds good,” Mimi groaned, returning to her former position, sprawled out over the table. “You sound like you’re in love with him,” you giggled, “You don’t even know him.” “Listen. This is love at first sight. Do you not watch romance movies?” You did in fact. Even though Jeno would complain throughout the whole first 30 minutes of the movie until he’d either accept his fate in favor of cuddling and letting you pet his hair or actually get invested in the movie as well, cursing the characters for being so stupid and not talking out their problems. “I do, dummy,” you rolled your eyes, taking a sip from your milkshake that didn’t disappoint after Jeno had praised it so much, “But don’t you need to get to know a person before you can love them?”
“You’re the one with a boyfriend,” she mumbled, collecting herself from the table to take a sip of her drink as well, “Tell me about him.” “My boyfriend?” “Yeah, you never speak much about him and don’t let us meet him either. Convince me he’s not made up.” “Well we know each other since childhood,” you shared, feeling heat creep up your cheeks and neck, knowing how cliche your story sounded, “He lived in the house next to ours so we played a lot as children but then my family had to move away when I was in like elementary school or something because of my dad’s work but eventually we moved back for my last year of highschool.” “Oh wow, that must have sucked to leave all your friends behind twice.” Sighing, you ran your hands through your hair. “It wasn’t easy to just leave everything behind, but I managed. We moved back into our old house and he was also still living in the house next to us with his family. His mom made him take me to school every day and we shared a lot of classes and then it just went from there,” you smiled, blatantly leaving out the part where you had to basically force Jeno to speak and open up to you at nights on his rooftop beneath the moon and the stars. That was a private matter you didn’t want to share without his consent.
“That is so wholesome,” Mimi cheered, “What’s he like?” “Different?” You tried to explain, swirling your straw in your milkshake, “Like different than you’d expect him to be. When you see us together, you’d probably say we don’t match.” “Ooooh,” she nodded, her eyes wide, “So you’re like opposites?” “You could say that,” you smiled, “But when you get to know us, we’re not that different.” Before she could ask more questions, Jeno interrupted you again, hands full of your plates. “And that’s your food girls. Please enjoy,” he smiled, placing the plates down, “If you need anything else, I’ll be around.” “Actually,” Mimi began and you had to hold yourself back from interrupting her, “I was wondering when your shift is ending.” “My shift?” Jeno repeated, his eyes shortly drifting over to you. “Yeah,” she smiled, waiting for his answer. “I’m off in a bit,” he said slowly after checking the time on the neon clock hanging over the counter. “So you’re free after we’re done with our food?” She pressed on. “Probably?” “Would you like to hang out after? We still have some time until our next classes start. “Hang out. With you two,” he repeated, still dumbstruck by her boldness. “I mean you don’t have to if you really don’t want or have something to do,” she shrugged but you knew that look in her eyes. She was determined to have him hang out with you. “I was just going to go get groceries and go home,” Jeno shared, “Listen, I gotta go back to work or my boss will literally fire me because he already hates me.” With an apologetic smile, he quickly walked down to another table where a couple was seemingly done with their meal.
“You’re so shameless,” you accused your friend, finally digging into your meal. “Listen. I see a hot boy and need to talk to him, it’s as easy as that,” Mimi giggled, taking a bite from her burger. “Now tell me more about that boyfriend of yours.”
Tumblr media
Once you were finished with your meal, Jeno already wasn’t there anymore to take your bill, instead, a cute girl with a big puffy skirt handed your friend the bill. “But half the stuff is missing,” Mimi asked, “I’m paying for both of us.” “Oh, my colleague took care of one of the meals,” the waiter smiled, “He must like one of you.” “I told you my flirting was worth it,” your friend smiled, handing over the money. You really didn’t have it in you to tell her that Jeno most likely covered for your half of the meal when she seemed so genuinely happy about it, so you swallowed the words back down even if it was going to come out sooner or later when you’d finally get Jeno to meet your friends.
Apparently, the universe wanted it to be sooner because as soon as you stepped back out of the diner and into the sun, a boy clad in all black caught your attention. He was leaning against the little railing around the diner, a cigarette between his lean fingers. “Hey,” you nudged your friend, nodding towards Jeno. “Huh?” “It’s the waiter,” you explained, looking over at him. By now it looked like he was trying his hardest to hold back his grin while taking another drag. Shocking people with his looks still was one of his favorite things to do if they only knew him from one of his jobs where he had to wear a uniform. “No way,” Mimi whispered, “He looks like a completely different guy.” “You’re not in love anymore now?” “He’s just so…” “Different?” You helped her out, rolling your eyes. Why could no one see past the dark clothes, chains and the cigarette and made the effort to actually get to know Jeno? “I don’t think he’s my type.” “You’re ridiculous,” you snorted, leaving her behind to walk over to Jeno.
“Hey bubblegum,” he smiled, curling an arm around your waist like it was second nature already, “Fancy seeing you here.” “You didn’t tell me that was the diner you applied to,” you pouted, scrunching your nose at the smell of smoke. “I didn’t know it was close to your campus,” he shrugged it off and stubbed out the remainder of his cigarette after taking a last drag, making an effort to blow the smoke away from you, “Your friend tried really hard to flirt with me.” “She’s an idiot,” you rolled your eyes, looping your arms around his torso to hug him close, “I missed you.” “I made you breakfast literally this morning,” he laughed but pulled you closer to him anyways. “If you work this close you could have come to visit.” “Bubblegum…” Jeno sighed, tucking a wild strand of hair back into place. “My friends think I’ve made up my boyfriend,” you pouted. “You want to show your friend back there how real I am? I think her eyes are already very close to falling out of her head.” “What’s going on in that head of yours Jeno Lee?” “Let me show you,” he grinned, cupping your face with one of his hands before pressing his lips to yours in a languid kiss, the taste of smoke on his breath familiar by now. “You really need to quit,” you grumbled against his lips. “I know,” he sighed but kissed you again anyways, “Wasn’t expecting to see you this soon.” “So you smoke in secret?” “Stop arguing when I’m trying to kiss you,” he grumbled, playfully biting your bottom lip. “Stop kissing me when I’m trying to safe your lungs,” you pouted, slapping his chest for emphasis but didn’t protest and insted kissed you again, languid and deep.
“Are you two done making out now?” Mimi suddenly interrupted you, making your face heat up as you took a step back from Jeno who was having nothing of that and pulled you back against his side by your waist. “Yeah, all done,” he grinned, holding one of his hands out for your friend to shake, “I’m Jeno.” “I figured from your boss screaming at you,” she mumbled but shook his hand anyways, giving him her name as well, “You made me look like a fool. Like you could have told me you were the infamous boyfriend refusing to meet us.” “It’s not like I was refusing.” “You totally were,” you butted in, pinching his side. “Listen it doesn’t sound as appealing to spend my evenings with a group of all girls as you think it does,” he defended himself, “And now you have a witness that I am in fact real.” “You’re not getting out of his now, Jeno Lee,” you grinned, lacing your fingers together. “And if I told you I had this really important thing to do?” He tried, throwing you his best puppy eyes. “We can go grocery shopping after my last class,” you rolled your eyes, “You’re walking back to campus with us now.” “Yes, ma’am,” he rolled his eyes, “Let me carry your bag.” “Oh god, you’ll make me feel so single,” Mimi groaned when you handed Jeno your backpack to carry. “You wanted this, I can leave any time,” your boyfriend shrugged, “Do you have like stones in your bag or something?” “It’s called books, you should try it,” you said, playfully sticking out your tongue. “Why am I even dating you?” Jeno just rolled his eyes. “Because you love me,” you smiled brightly. “Yeah, I kinda do,” he confessed, squeezing your hand.
“No need to make me feel even more single,” Mimi groaned again, “Do you have any hot friends to introduce me to, Jeno?” “I don’t think they’re your style,” he shrugged it off, motioning at his attire of ripped black jeans and dark shirt. “So you do have some hot friends that are also single?” “You almost fainted when you saw me, I don’t think you could handle them.” “Don’t judge a book by its cover, babe,” you smiled, leaning into his body. “Sure, bubblegum,” he gently smiled back.
Because if you had judged him by his cover, you’d never be as happy as you were right now.

chapter ten: dave, frank, and cliff
Cliff guided her by the hand into the tiny club: once again, it was early enough that they had plenty of time to congregate on the side of the room, alone, and out of earshot of the others. Sam held onto the yellow tulip he had given her with two fingers and she brought the petals to her nose for a whiff of that fresh smell.
“I didn't know if you wanted a bouquet again,” he confessed with a shrug.
“It's okay,” she told him as she held the flower close to her chest. “Sometimes one is good.” She took another whiff from those smooth yellow petals, as smooth as a tapestry of silk.
“Do you wanna dance again later tonight?” she asked him.
“Yes, please,” he replied; he took his hat off and ran his fingers through his smooth dark hair. “We did a square dance last time—let's do a little bit of slow ballroom dancing, too.”
He then wagged his finger at her.
“I have something else to give you,” he said, and he ducked past her to the bar at the far side of the room. She watched him with her hands still up to her chest so she could smell the tulip some more. He strode around Lars, who had taken his seat at the bar with a shot of vodka, and he ducked out of sight for a moment. She could only see part of his back; he rose up and stuck his hand behind his back before he returned to her.
“What'chu got for me?” she asked him once he came within earshot.
“Close your eyes and stick out your arm,” he told her. She did just that with her left arm and she felt something brush against her skin.
“Okay,” he said. She opened her eyes and she spotted a bracelet on her wrist made of braided strips of black leather and silver rings: she took a second look to find small sparkling rhinestones embedded within the braids. It was fastened together with a big round fancy silver button about the size of a nickel.
“This is something I found in the book shop,” he explained, “it was tucked between that copy of Siddhartha we found as well as a copy of Frankenstein. I just thought it was something you'd like.”
“I do!” she declared as she put one arm around him and held him close to her. She rested the side of her head against his chest. She closed her eyes and took in the soft sound of his heartbeat underneath his denim button up shirt. Sam kept the tulip near to her nose still.
Something fell over on the other side of the room and then a bunch of paper fell onto the floor. Sam opened her eyes but she kept her head pressed to his chest.
Dan shuffled through a bunch of paper on the floor: he had already slung his guitar over his shoulder, and he swung it upon his back so he could look for something. Sam lifted her gaze to the other side of the stage, where someone had moved the couch from backstage and put it up against the wall.
Dan picked up some paper and took something off the floor. He stood back up and strode over to the couch: he almost tripped over the cables on the side of the stage but he caught himself, albeit without unplugging anything. Scott skidded into the room right then.
“Hey!” he declared. Dan staggered forward and plopped down on the couch: the whole entire time, he never let go of his guitar. Indeed, once he took his seat on the cushions, he brought it forward and rested it upon his lap. He looked up at Scott as if nothing happened.
“What's all the hubbub, bub?” Scott asked him.
“Couldn't find my tuner,” he quipped as he picked up a little black box from the cushion next to him.
“Sure that's yours and not Alex and Eric's?”
“It's all of ours,” Dan pointed out, “yours, too.”
Sam looked up at Cliff, who gazed down at her: the light over their heads shone down on him so it looked as though a halo surrounded his head.
“Wanna take a walk?” he suggested. “It's going to be a long time before Legacy take to the stage again.”
“Yeah, let's,” she said. He doubled back to the bar to fetch his hat and to tell Lars where they were going. Once Cliff ran his finger across the wide brim of his hat, Sam put her sunglasses back on before they headed back outside. He held the door open for her and she slung the strap of her purse over her shoulder.
He hurried up next to her so they walked side by side on the narrow sidewalk.
The sun hung strong and high over the city in the vast clear blue sky. Up ahead of them, the street bustled with life, and yet they rounded the corner towards where Joey's car was parked. Joey himself had gone in through the back door; the two of them strode at a brisk pace past the puddle of barf in the storm drain. Sam thought about Alex, who had ducked out of there and into the shadows around the club, and she wondered if he was alright somewhere in there.
She turned her attention to the block ahead of them once they had cleared the piece of sidewalk and slowed to a stroll. A patch of green grass and a line of trees stood across the corner up ahead. The very sight of the green was enough for Sam to bring the tulip up to her nose again. She looked down at the bracelet Cliff had given her and a part of her felt as though he was spoiling her. Spoiling her even with what he had.
“Is that who I think it is?” he said out of the blue.
“Who?” she asked him. Cliff pointed up ahead and there was a man seated on the curb in front of the grass. He looked back at her with a twinkle in his eye.
“Come along,” he coaxed her. His long legs stretched enough that Sam fell behind him to the end of the sidewalk; however, he awaited her at the corner, and they crossed the little side street together. Once they came closer to him, Sam made out the sight of the helmet of bright orange curls upon his head: they sprawled down over his shoulders and halfway down his back. Despite it being a nice day, he wore a faded black leather jacket over ragged faded denim jeans with large gaping holes in the knees. A pair of ragged gloves hung out of his pocket.
“Dave!” Cliff called out once they reached the corner. The man lifted his head and frowned at first, but then he showed them a smile once they came closer to him. He was a skinny, scrawny man who looked as though he was awaiting a ride somewhere.
“Hey, Cliff,” he replied back to him in a broken voice; Sam picked up the smell of cigarettes on him as well as fried beans. “Wasn't expecting to see you here.”
“I'm seein' Anthrax and Legacy tonight with her,” Cliff explained. “This is my date, Samantha.”
“Or Sam as I go by,” she said as she lifted her sunglasses off of her face for a better look at him.
“Sam, this is my friend Dave Mustaine,” Cliff introduced her. He gazed up at her from the gutter: the sunlight shone about his crown of bright orange.
“You're from California,” he remarked at a fast clip.
“Yeah.” She paused for a few seconds. “How'd you know?”
“You're too friendly,” he said as he brought a hand over his brow to protect his eyes from the sun. “You're also lacking that high New York energy, too.”
“Everything is just a hustle and bustle around here,” she added.
“Right! And you're too laid back, too.” He gestured up at Cliff. “He and I used to be in Metallica together.”
She then gasped.
“Oh, so you're Dave!” she declared.
“The infamous Dave,” he corrected her.
“Well, what're you doin' here?” Cliff asked him.
“I'm homeless now, dude,” Dave replied, even with the nonchalant look on his face. “Been homeless, too, even after Megadeth doing a bit of touring for our first record. Right now, I'm just hanging out here in the Big Apple because of the whole thing with studio time. It's the whole waiting game and everything.”
“Oh, man, I'm really sorry to hear that,” Cliff confessed.
“Yeah, I hope I can get back to L.A to do the new album by the year's end. Even thought I've been sleeping on a girl's old couch, and biding my time, being here in New York has kind of given me a different perspective of everything.”
“That's—kind of why I moved out here,” Sam told him at a deliberate pace.
“Oh, yeah?” Dave showed her a little smile.
“Yeah. I came here because I just wanted to be here as a change of pace. I haven't had as many problems, though.”
“That's smart,” he declared. He then cleared his throat and stood to his feet. Much like Cliff, he towered over her, this long and lanky redheaded man wrapped in rags that barely clung onto his emaciated body.
“You know I only started Megadeth just to spite James and Lars, right?”
“He really did, too,” Cliff filled in for him. “I had nothing to do with it so—if you wanna know more about that.”
“But Cliff and I are still good friends, though,” Dave continued.
“Don't get mad, get even, I guess?” Sam chuckled.
“Yes, YES!” Dave shot out a hand to her for a high five, and she did it with her pinky finger given her hands were full with the tulip and her sunglasses.
“Well, at least you've got a couch to sleep on,” Cliff pointed out.
“Yeah, but I think she might kill me, though,” Dave confessed.
“Why?” Sam chuckled at that.
“I like another girl,” he said, still nonchalant. “I might have to break up with Ellen so I can go with Corinne.”
“Do what you gotta do, that's what I say, man,” Cliff encouraged him.
“I hope she can get me out to California because I wrote a couple of songs already for the new album. I need to be back out West soon here because—you know—”
“It'll save you,” Sam finished for him.
“It'll save me and also my bassist,” he pointed out. “He and I are both struggling right now.” Dave nodded at the flower and the bracelet.
“Did he give you those?” he asked her.
“Yes, he did.”
“I found the bracelet,” Cliff explained, “the tulip I picked on my way over here. Even with our doing better than—we were—I still think less is more.”
“One of you kids have the time right now?” Dave asked them.
“It's around lunchtime,” Sam replied. “That's all we know at the moment.”
“I might poke my head into the show tonight,” he told her with a raise of his eyebrow. “I also ask 'cause I haven't eaten all day, either. I'm also dying of thirst right now.”
“We can go back and get you a drink of water,” Sam suggested.
“As long as James and Lars don't see me,” he told her with a wave of his hand.
“Yeah, he's, uh—” Cliff cleared his throat. “—kind of a loaded subject with the two of them especially. At least, that's all I know. That's as far as I know.”
“Cliff only has hearsay,” Dave pointed out.
“Well, let's—get you something, though,” Sam insisted as she put her sunglasses back on, and Dave followed suit with his own. She started back down the sidewalk and even over the noise of the street, she could hear him tell Cliff, “I like this girl.”
She brought the tulip up to her nose once she reached the corner once again. The two young men stood on either side of her for a moment, and she led the way across the pavement, back to L'Amour.
“She came here with Joey,” Cliff told Dave at one point.
“Joey from Anthrax?” he said.
“Yeah. He's another one who's been sleeping on her couch, too, oddly enough.”
“We're just friends, though,” Sam pointed out with a quick turn around to face them. “I promise.”
“I hope you stay just friends,” Dave stifled a laugh.
“I'm not gonna kill him,” she scoffed. “If he finds someone at some point, I'll be happy for him.”
She returned to a straight position and continued on to the corner of the club. Frank and Scott congregated outside of the side door: the sun shone down upon the dark crowns of their heads such that it looked as though they wore little golden crowns.
“Oh, hey, Dave,” Scott greeted him, to which Dave brought a finger to his lips. “Oh, right, James and Lars,” he followed along. “And yeah, they're here right now.”
“Anyway, what brings you here?” Frank asked him as he shielded his eyes from the bright sun.
“I'm just dyin' of thirst right now,” Dave told him.
“Well, what brings you to New York?” Frank clarified.
“I'm staying with a girl until I can get my ass out to California to record a record,” Dave briskly said, the first time he showed any bit of emotion right in front of Sam. “I just want a drink of water for the time being, though.”
“Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah,” Frank replied with a nervous nod of his head. He ducked back inside of the club; meanwhile, Scott remained there on the sidewalk with his hands tucked into his jeans pockets.
“Quite the interesting little amalgamation we got here,” Dave remarked.
“Yeah, I'll say,” Scott added as he raised his thick dark eyebrows. “Buncha starving artists here.”
“In Sam's case, quite literally,” Cliff chimed in.
“I like artists,” Dave stated as he stuffed the gloves further into his jacket pocket. “You guys work harder than we do. At least, that's what I think, anyway.”
“Yeah, but you guys make inanimate objects make noises, though,” Sam pointed out.
“You make stuff out of nothing,” he insisted. A gust of wind made its way through the skyscrapers and his bright orange curls billowed over his head and shoulders.
Frank almost stumbled out of the club right then with a small clean glass of water in one hand. He gave it to Dave, who pushed his hair back with his free hand and looked on at him with a blank look on his face.
“Thank you—and don't sweat it, Frank,” he declared. Cliff then turned to Sam, again with a twinkle in his eye.
“Do you want anything?” he offered her.
“Not really, no,” she said as she adjusted the bracelet and shifted her weight right in her spot on the sidewalk. Dave meanwhile, had downed the whole drink of water in four large gulps.
“Want some more?” Frank offered him.
“Please. And I hope I can hang out around here without James and Lars seeing me.”
“We'll sneak you into the shadows if we've gotta,” Scott promised him.
Cliff then gestured for Sam to follow him away from there.
“Where you guys going?” Dave called after them.
“We're gonna take a walk,” Cliff replied. “Won't be long.”
He was quick to walk away from the spot on the sidewalk and he rested a single hand on Sam's shoulder as well. They strode away from the doorway and made their way towards the alleyway up ahead.
“I needed to get you away from there,” Cliff explained to her once they were far out of earshot. “Like I said, it's only hearsay to me. So I don't like how my brothers are fighting with each other.”
“That's—completely understandable,” Sam replied, slightly out of breath. “It's only hearsay with you? Really?”
“Yeah, I had no say in firing Dave,” he told her once they reached the street corner. “I'm still very good friends with him but it feels like I have to walk on eggshells most of the time when it comes to him, though. I can't really talk to anyone about it.”
“Have you tried to?” she asked him as they came to a stop. “The whole thing made me nervous.”
“Yeah, but every time I do, something always intervenes, though.”
“I kinda feel bad for Dave, too,” she confessed. “But he seems a little bit blunt, though.”
“That's just how he is,” Cliff explained. “And I would be, too, if I was thrown out like that and not given another chance to change my ways.”
“Was he really that bad when he got drunk?”
“Oh, yeah. It got fucking crazy at times. He got violent after he kicked back a few bottles. I remember one time he got drunk and he punched a big hole in the wall of the studio. The three of us get giggly and goofy when we've had a few. It was like oil and water. I wanted to give him another chance, and I still do, too, as much as I like Kirk and everything.”
“But you had no say in it, though,” she said.
“None at all. James just told me one morning, 'we made Dave go back home to L.A. and we're getting a new guitarist.'” She thought about Joey and the fact that he let himself drink a supple amount. She hoped that nothing would happen between him and Anthrax.
She peered around the block before them.
“By the way, did you see where Joey went off to?” she asked him.
“I didn't, no,” he confessed. “Why's that?”
“Well, 'cause he threw up when he and I got here,” she answered with a shrug of her shoulders.
“I hope they don't go through what happened to us,” Cliff confessed.
“I hope they don't, either,” she echoed.
“I'll be pissed if they do,” he added.
“I can see Joey and Dave getting together in a single act together,” she suggested. “That is, if it happens and Megadeth lose their hold.”
“They can call it 'Fired',” he laughed, and they crossed the street side by side to the opposite corner. Up ahead stood a stretch of more buildings as well as an entrance to the subway. He then turned his head to her.
“I have an idea,” he told her, and he took her by the hand. They hurried to the staircase in between the wrought iron fence. Unlike the other subway stations, this one smelled as though it had just been cleaned.
They reached the bottom of the staircase and the train stood at the platform.
“You wanna get on the train?” she laughed at him.
“No,” he said, and he guided her to a short corridor off to the right. On the right side of the hallway stood a broom closet.
“Right in here,” he coaxed her with a gesture to the door.
“What's in here?” she asked him.
“I wanna get close to you,” he said as he turned around to face her. “Like—much closer to you. Every kiss to you is one step closer to peeling it back.”
“You,” she sputtered, “wanna do that. In broad daylight.”
“We're not exactly in broad daylight,” he pointed out, “we'll be in a shadow. We'll be in a closet.”
“We're still in broad daylight!” she insisted. “Out in public!”
“Tell you what—I'll only let you touch me,” he said as he opened the closet door: there was barely room for the two of them in there. A metal rack filled up the entire back of the closet and a large yellow bucket and a mop took up an entire corner of the spot.
“I dunno, Cliff,” she admitted with a shrug and a little twirl of the tulip; and she thought about what she had told Joey before with her wishing to draw him.
“I just wanna be closer to you,” he confessed in a near whisper. “I don't wanna be like—weird or anything.”
“Oh, no, it's just—it's not very romantic.”
“We can make it romantic,” he pointed out. He reached for the tulip in her hands and he nestled it on the shelf of the rack, to which she chuckled at that.
“What do you have in your purse?”
“Uh, let's see...” She opened her purse and she spotted that photo of Frank and Charlie as children nestled on the side, right next to her wallet. Next to that was a little packet of spearmint gum.
“Here's something to make it smell better,” she said as she handed him the pack. He took a whiff and nodded.
“Oh, yeah.” He set it on the shelf and then returned to her. She looked past him and spotted a tall box that held an air conditioner in it at one point. He took his seat there and she squeezed in after him.
“Tight fit,” he said as she shut the door behind her: a small crack in between the door and the frame gave her just enough light to see what she was doing.
“Come closer to me,” she whispered.
“Only if you come closer to me,” he begged her. He kept himself seated on the box and she leaned in to him.
“So, do you want it below the belt, or—”
“Yeah, please,” he whispered to her as he opened his legs for her. “Nothin' fancy. But something to start us off with.”
In the dim light, she unfastened the button on his jeans and she reached down the front. The size of it. Even when inside of his jeans, her finger tips caressed over his silken skin. It felt like a big serpent, right inside of his pants.
“Wow,” she breathed.
“Yeah—I guess you could say I'm hung,” he said to her in a near whisper. “It does feel good, I'll say that. Those little fingers on me.”
“How 'bout my thumb?” she asked him as she stroked him with the pad of her thumb. He gasped at the feeling.
“Yes,” his voice broke. “God, Sam—you're a natural. With one hand no less!”
She knelt closer to him: the smell of the mint gum was faint and distant in comparison to the smell of his denim and his soft cologne, but she wanted to do it.
“I think I could do it with two,” she declared as she kept her voice down. In the dim light, she could see his Cheshire cat grin and the twinkle in his eye.
“If we were—in a bigger room,” he grunted, “like—your place.”
“Yeah, you'd like that, wouldn't ya?” she teased him.
“I could give you sump'n to return the favor, too,” he retorted. He bowed his head and shuffled his feet at the feeling of her thumb and her two fingers on him. He then gaped at her.
“You okay?” she asked him, and he let out a soft groan.
“That's the spot,” he declared. “That's—the spot—and the best feeling.”
Sam was quick to take her hand out and he giggled at her.
“What?” she asked him with a smile on her face.
“I'm gonna have to change my panties now,” he said, and he couldn't resist the laughter.
“Your big boy panties,” she teased him. She stood to her feet and picked the gum and the tulip from the shelf. She put the gum back into her purse and she reached for Cliff's hand. He stood to his feet and adjusted the brim of his hat. Her breasts brushed against his stomach and he even had to bow his head from the ceiling.
“How do we get outta here?” he asked her as he held onto the brim of his hat with two fingers.
“You go first,” she told him.
“Oh, no, ladies first,” he insisted. She let out a sigh, rolled her eyes, and then giggled at him. She opened the closet door with her free hand and she stumbled out of there; he followed her and he almost dropped his hat on the clean tile floor. He caught it and put it back onto his head as the door swung closed behind him in one fell swoop. He then crossed his legs.
“Tell you what,” he started with a raise of his finger. “I'll run to the men's room and wash up—you go back to L'Amour and wait for me.”
“You sure?” she asked him as she twirled the tulip in her fingers: her hand was dry as a bone even though she made him come in his jeans.
“Positive. Go hang out with the gang and I'll catch up with you.” Cliff leaned into her neck and gave her a little kiss. The bristle over his lip brushed against her skin such that it tickled, and it brought a giggle out of her. He kept his legs together as he passed her and headed over to the men's room. Sam watched him go and then, once he was out of sight, she fetched up a dreamy sigh. But without another moment's hesitation, she surfaced from the subway and made her way back to the club.
Aurora, Zelda, and Marla showed up within the next hour, but she had no idea where Dave had disappeared to; Marla had put on a knit cap over her hair to hide it all away from onlookers. She also noticed that Cliff still hadn't showed up by the time the audience began gathering in front of them. A much bigger crowd that time.
The four girls stood at the back of the room and they watched Alex solo once again on that song “Alone in the Dark”. He stood still and kept the guitar pressed to his little tummy the whole entire time. Marla and Aurora both had stars in their eyes at the sight of him, but even though Sam kept her eye on him, she couldn't stop thinking about Cliff and Dave. Neither of them had arrived at the club still; she couldn't stop thinking about James and Lars, and the fact Scott and Frank felt like a pair of lynchpins. So much had happened without her looking, and there was so much that she still needed to know.
Meanwhile, Zetro did more straight up singing rather than that usual high shriek that caught everyone's attention. Legacy were tight and powerful on that second night, and Sam had hope for them. When Anthrax showed to the stage, she recalled what Charlie had said about Legacy and that there was another band called that. She wondered how that would work out as Joey stood in the middle of the stage with his head bowed over the head of the microphone.
His voice was more broken and he had a difficult time catching his breath. Indeed, they cut their set short by two songs because he couldn't hardly keep up with the other four guys behind him. Such a big crowd in front of them and yet he couldn't do it; everyone filed out of there as disappointed as Sam expected them to be.
“He didn't look too good,” she overheard Zelda say to Marla, who shook her head.
“I'm gonna go see if he's okay,” Sam told them as she adjusted the strap of her purse and tucked Cliff's tulip into her purse for safe keeping. “I did ride with him down here after all.”
“Okay—I will, too,” Marla said as she tugged down on her cap, and Sam strode across the floor to the backstage area.
“You wanna get something to eat?” Aurora offered Zelda as they fell out of earshot. Sam stepped over the cables on the floor and she leaned into the backstage area. No one there, and in fact the back door shut as soon as she knew what was happening there. She doubled back to the side doors and made her way to the street.
If nothing, she could take the subway back up to the Bronx, but it was getting late, and she knew she wouldn't return home until well into the night. The very thought of it exhausted her. She turned her head and she recognized Frank's car at the corner: he had rolled down the windows to take in the warm nigth air.
“Frankie!” she shouted as she sprinted down the sidewalk. In the darkness, she saw his silhouette turn in her direction. “Frankie!” He hesitated there to await her.
“Hey!” he called out to her. He leaned over the passenger seat: the orange glow of the street light washed over his handsome face.
“Do you know where Joey went?” she asked him, out of breath.
“Charlie and Marla just took him home,” he replied. “Poor guy had such a bad night.”
“Was he okay?”
“You know, he barfed this morning when you guys got here and then he knocked back another few drinks.”
“Oh, Jesus Christ,” she groaned and she bowed her head. She lifted her gaze and stared on at Frank in the dim light. “Well—I don't really feel like taking the subway, though.” She adjusted the strap of her purse yet again.
“That's right, you and him rode together here,” he recalled.
“Did they take his car?”
“Yeah, they did.”
“It's getting late, too. You could do it but it kinda sucks, though—it's been a long day, too. Yeah, hop on in. Besides, you and I live in the same building.”
Sam slid into the passenger seat next to him, and she placed her purse on the floor next to her ankle. They made their way up the street and caught the light green.
“It wasn't just Joey who had a bad night, though,” he started. “I don't know what was going on with the amps tonight.”
“You guys sounded good, though,” she pointed out. “Legacy sounded extra strong tonight.”
“Zetro's last night, you know. He told me he wanted to sing tonight, too, which was real cool, if you ask me! But I felt so naked up there. Myself, Scott, and also Danny, plus Eric, Alex, and Greg. Charlie couldn't hardly get the mic on his snare to work. Louie just went 'fuck it' and took it off, but it seemed to work for him, though. We all struggled tonight.”
They fell silent for a long time, that is until they reached the freeway entrance.
“So Cliff kissed you,” he muttered over the roar of the tires on the pavement. Sam gaped at him.
“Wait a minute, how'd you find that out?” she demanded.
“The last time I saw him, he had this twinkle in his eye and he smelled like fresh coffee,” he explained. “So I asked him about it.”
Sam shook her head. And she had been keeping it a secret this whole entire time!
She squinted her eyes and gaped at him. Frank looked back at her with a concerned look on his face.
“What's wrong?” he asked her.
“He told me to keep it a secret,” she explained. “I—I don't even know what to say right now.”
“Wow, what the fuck,” he muttered as he returned his attention to the parkway in front of them. “You should bring it up to him once you get home.”
“Yeah, I'll talk to him tonight,” she vowed to him.
“You should,” Frank replied, “Cliff is my friend but he needs to know that he went behind your back like that. I wouldn't really be okay with that if it were me. Heck, I'm not okay with it not being me. I'll give you the number to Jon and Marsha's house, too. They're staying with them.”
Within thirty minutes, they returned home to their building. Frank bode her good night with a hug and then she made her way back upstairs to her room. She set her purse down on the couch and she took out the tulip. Cliff never showed again and the secret was out. She didn't want to get mad at him, but she couldn't help it.
She darted into the kitchen and set the tulip down on the counter so she could dial the Zazulas' number. It was almost midnight and thus, as she brought the phone to her ear, she wondered if she would wake them.
“Hello?” She recognized his voice.
“Hi, Cliff,” she said in a flat tone.
“Oh, hi.” He hesitated.
“You told Frankie you kissed me?” she blurted out. Silence on his end.
“Uh—”
“Why'd you do that, Cliff?” she demanded and she folded a single arm across her chest.
“Because,” he started.
“Because why?” She could feel her face growing hot from frustration.
“Because I needed to tell someone,” he said. “I needed to tell someone close to me. I was gonna lose it otherwise if I didn't tell someone about it.”
“But you told me to keep it under the wraps, though!” she pointed out.
“Well, yeah.” He never raised his voice. “But I didn't know how I was gonna react to it, though. Believe me, Sam, if I would've, I could've. Both my hands on my brother's ashes.” Sam fumed as she kept the phone up to her ear. He also left her hanging in the club as well. The second night in a row, and he failed to be her date to the shows.
“I'm also sorry for not showing up, either,” he added when she didn't reply to him. “Dave needed a ride back to where he was staying and I needed to change my underwear, too. We had to make some calls and I finally got back to the Zazulas' house for a change, and at that point, the shows had already started...” As he spoke, she eased the expression on her face. Even though she kept her arm crossed over her chest, there was no way she could stay mad at him for this.
“I'm just... I'm sorry, Sam,” he pleaded. “I'm sorry for everything. You can break up with me and tell me to go fuck myself, I'd understand.”
She swallowed, and she kept her gaze fixated on the tulip on the counter next to her. There was also that bouquet on the coffee table in the next room. Those soft smooth bright yellow petals that beckoned a smile out of her.
“No, no,” she told him in a low voice. “It's okay. Things just—happened.”
“That's just all there is to it,” he replied in a near whisper. “Things just happen, and sometimes you need to tell people about it. Otherwise you get what's going on between James, Lars, and Dave at the moment.”
“You were really cute when we got to the closet, too,” she said, and she couldn't resist the smile on her face. “Dolling that little space up.”
“Well, you wanted it to be romantic,” he pointed out with a little chuckle to his voice.
“True. But it was just—it was cute to me.” She snickered at the thought.
“When do Stormtroopers go on tour?”
“About a month. It's only gonna be a handful of dates, but Frankie told me it'll be my first taste of the road life. And it's money for me and Marla especially.”
“Take all your clothes,” he suggested. “All of them. You never know what the place will be like. Also, be prepared to not sleep, either.”
“I'll keep that in mind,” she vowed, and she yawned.
“It's late,” he stated.
“Yeah, it is.”
“Enjoy your sleep while you can, too. Just every minute of it. So—don't stay up another minute later. Also, Sam?”
“Yeah?”
There was silence on his end.
“I love you,” he whispered, and she never moved. Her chest ached a bit: it took her a minute to realize she had been holding her breath that whole time.
“You there?” he asked her.
“Yeah.”
“You alright?” “Yeah.”
He snickered at her.
“I love you, too,” she whispered back at him as she picked up the tulip from the counter. She brought those yellow petals up to her nose: still smelled fresh.
“You have a good night,” he told her in a soft voice.
“Kiss the Zazulas good night for me,” she said, and that brought a laugh out of him, and they hung up at the same time.

The doorbell rang joyfully above your head when you entered the flower shop - called Coup de foudre - your grandmother had told you about. She had said that it was her favourite and that she had always come here for flowers and plants because the range was wide, the prices were good and the service was excellent.
Knowing how happy she would be receiving a bouquet of flowers for herself while she was in the hospital, you made your way to the counter where a slender guy was casually leaning onto the wooden material. When he saw you, he pushed himself up and smiled at you brightly as if he had been in some kind of a toothpaste commercial.
You had to admit that he was a sight to behold with that charming smile of his, shining eyes, chestnut-brown hair, sharp jawline and broad shoulders. He wore a casual white tee underneath an ocean-blue denim jacket, yet his smile was the one that got you the most. It made you feel like the flowers were blooming and the sun was shining through the thick, dirty grey clouds.
“Good afternoon! I would like a bouquet of peruvian lilies and daisies!” You ordered as you stepped closer to the counter and reciprocated the guy’s smile. He looked puzzled for a moment but then he reached for a bouquet not too far from him and put it down in front of you.
“Oh, right. Here you go.”
“Are you sure these are the ones that I’ve asked for? My grandmother said that they are supposed to be yellow and white,” you mentioned as you remembered your grandmother’s favourite type. You might not have been an expert when it came to plants but you sure knew it because it was her favourite.
Hearing that, the guy’s smile wavered for only a fraction of a moment, it was there in the next moment in an even brighter and more charming version.
“Well, why don’t you take these home instead?” he suggested casually as he pointed at the bouquet. Then, he put his palms onto the counter and leaned forward, lowering his voice. “Pink fits your tinted cheeks,” he added cheekily and even winked at you to which you only narrowed your eyes.
Maybe he was right about your tinted cheeks but it was only because of the hot weather outside and the fact that you had just escaped a bus full of sweaty bodies and you were also sweating yourself due to the crazy heat. It was definitely not because of him and his charming smile.
“I’m not taking home something that I haven’t asked for,” you stated firmly and cleared your throat before you continued. “Are you new here?”
“No, I’ve been around here for sometime.” He shrugged his shoulders casually, pushing himself off the counter. You had a feeling that he was trying to play it cool, but you didn’t want to call him out before you let him know about the reason behind your suspicion.
“My grandma told me that I’ll be greeted by a pretty, young lady when I come here.”
“You’ve got a handsome, young man instead. Isn’t that amazing?” he counter-attacked with a wide grin and ruffled his hair, probably just to tease you. You had to admit that he was indeed a handsome guy and there was just something very intriguing about the way he talked, but he was getting on your nerves for the time being.
Letting out a sigh, you realized that you would probably not go anywhere with this guy, so you decided to step up your game.
“Where is that woman my grandma talked about?” you asked sternly, hoping that it was concrete enough for the guy to give you a genuine answer.
“Oh, you mean the owner?” He raised his eyebrows comically and his eyes doubled in size as if it had been that difficult for him to process that you were here for someone competent and not for flirting.
You nodded and it was finally enough of an answer for him to give up on handling everything by himself as he shouted into the back part of the shop:
“Lee Mijooooooooooo!”
There was a moment of silence that fell over the place before a strong female voice was heard.
“Yah, I’ve told you not to shout, Lee Jangjuuuuuun,” she mimicked the guy’s tone as she was walking from the back to the counter and when she caught sight of you, she dusted off her jeans and smoothed the wrinkles on her light peach blouse. “Oh, hey! What can I help you with?” she inquired kindly, in a way that was both polite and easily approachable. You knew already that this was the woman your grandmother had talked about.
“I would like a bouquet of peruvian lilies and daisies,” you repeated yourself with a bit of a nervousness because you couldn’t quite pinpoint their behaviour towards each other.
“Alright, just a minute, please,” the pretty girl told you with the widest smile possible and you were actually wondering if they were of the same blood because their smiles were kind of similar when the so-called Mijoo looked above her shoulder while preparing your bouquet and remarked:
“Also, don’t mind my dumbass cousin. I know he’s annoying.”
“Isn’t that too harsh, my dearest cousin?” The guy pouted sadly and there was such a childish vibe around him that you wondered how much of an age difference existed between the two of them. “I help keeping this shop going while you are on lunch break. As I’ve said, I’ve been around here for sometime,” he pointed out with an annoyingly wide grin to which her cousin merely rolled her eyes.
“Yeah, sure, you are just scaring off the customers,” she retorted with a snicker and turned back to the flowers, her hands working wonders on the types you had asked for. “What’s the occasion if you don’t mind me asking?” she spoke up after a few moments of silence while her cousin was still eyeing you and you were trying to busy yourself, looking at anything but the guy’s face. You were a bit afraid that your cheeks would become even more tinted if you actually kept looking at him.
“Oh, actually, my grandma is in the hospital, so I’ve wanted to bring her her favourite bouquet from her favourite flower shop,” you replied with a semi-happy smile because when you thought about your grandmother, you were always reminded about her wide smile and shining eyes, but now she was in the hospital because she hadn’t taken care of herself and had fallen down the stairs, and you were afraid that it wouldn’t be the first and last occasion she ends up in the hospital due to her carelessness.
“Aww how lovely!” Mijoo let out a bit of a sound in awe and your smile became wider, thankful that the girl was genuine about her reaction.
On the other hand, Jangjun couldn’t let this chance slip away because he was quick to chirp in, that grin not leaving his lips.
“Why don’t you take me instead? I’m sure I could brighten up the mood at the hospital for your grandma.” He winked at you, eyes full of mischief, and you were about to open your mouth, but Mijoo was faster than you.
“Yah, Lee Jangjun!” She exclaimed frustratedly, her voice full of authority. You may not had known them before, but you were sure that it was the girl who usually had the commander role out of the two of them.
The guy then played the innocent boy who hadn’t done anything wrong, throwing his hands into the air as if he had been saying that he didn’t get girls while Mijoo was finishing up your bouquet, putting it down in front of you and apologizing a few more times and telling you to not mind him while you were dealing with the payment. You reassured her that it was no problem on your part, after all, it wasn’t her fault and while the guy didn’t say anything beside her, you could see and even feel the playfulness behind his smirk.
You thought that you were done just like this, but after walking further away from the flower shop, someone fell into step with you and started walking by your side, his hands in his pockets, whistling as if he had never had a better day.
“You seem to have a lot of spare time on your hands,” you pointed out, furrowing your eyebrows in question.
“Or I’m just willing to keep the lovely elderly some fun company in my free time. We could say that I’m a hero without a cape,” he counter-attacked, wiggling his eyebrows.
It felt like no matter what you said, he could always say something that would leave you a bit speechless. He was sure one very talkative person, but with his personality, you were sure that your grandmother would enjoy herself. It was just difficult and a bit odd to admit such things to a total stranger.
“You sure have confidence,” you told him as you took a turn and he followed you like a dog, his confidence and enthusiasm not wavering.
“I’ll take that as a compliment.”
“Take it however you want.” You smiled an overly sweet smile at him, not giving him the chance to misunderstand your words.
You continued bickering all the way to the hospital but eventually when he got in, he had to realize that you weren’t against him visiting your grandmother. However, you told him that it would be only for this day and if he did anything inappropriate or said anything hurtful, you would push him out of the ward without a word. He saluted hearing that and so you two walked to your grandmother’s room.
Your grandmother’s eyes immediately lightened up when you entered the room. Yet, when her eyes slid from you to Jangjun, there was a bit of a knowing smile being painted on her lips. You couldn’t help but frown a bit upon seeing the obvious consequences of Jangjun being by your side, him even adding to the misunderstanding.
“Oh, I see that I have another visitor today!”
“That’s right, ma’am. My name is Lee Jangjun, and I’m here to entertain you,” the guy enlightened her with a theatrical bow and he was about to give a kiss on your grandmother’s hand but you yanked his hand away. He needed to know his place.
“Are you two perhaps-”
“No, grandma. We aren’t dating,” you cut her off immediately, shaking your head fervently. “Today was the first time we met,” you added with a forced smile, hoping that this part of the conversation would end soon. However, the embarrassment wasn’t over.
Your grandmother let out a wholehearted laughter that you couldn’t pinpoint until she decided to add her reasoning.
“I’ve wanted to ask if you two happen to attend the same university, but that’s also a helpful piece of information,” your grandmother elaborated almost cheekily and you had to admit that despite her age, she was quite the woman herself. She had always been the less strict and more fun-loving grandmother out of the two you thankfully had and could spend your childhood with, and of course, the boyfriend topic had always been brought up, and you had just seemed to give her another reason to keep this topic alive.
“I’m pretty sure we’re not, but maybe it’s destiny that we still met,” Jangjun remarked and flashed a bright smile at you as he looked from your grandmother to your face. You put on another overly sweet smile - but mostly because of your grandmother, not because of Jangjun - and let the boy think that you two meeting had anything to do with destiny or whatsoever. You didn’t believe in such things anyway.
However, no matter how much you tried to deny, Jangjun actually made your grandmother really happy. She laughed and giggled so much, and it had been a long time ago since you had seen her acting so beamingly. Maybe it was because Jangjun was really like an entertainer and his choice of major - broadcasting masters after a similar BA - also proved that and him wanting to become an MC was not so surprising either. He really knew how to liven up the mood, how to change topics and how to add to basically anything anyone had said. He was hilarious, his life full of unbelievable and funny stories, and after a while, you found yourself loosening up beside him instead of being ever so cautious.
You weren’t even taken aback when your grandmother invited Jangjun to come back next time as well, and this was how the random guy from your grandmother’s favourite flower shop became the personal hypeman and storyteller to your grandma who couldn’t help dropping complimentary comments regarding you to make Jangjun as impressed as possible. You had a difficult time dealing with these two because you definitely didn’t like when someone played a matchmaker, and Jangjun just had to top everything with his own eccentric personality and charming smile - the one that you fell in love with, and the one that he just couldn’t not use on you, especially after he had gotten to know that it was your weakness and a way to your heart.
Though there was no use of denying your feelings because Jangjun was a genuine, caring, kind-hearted, supportive and extremely loving guy who would never want anything more than making you as happy as possible, and while being his girlfriend seemed like a total chaos sometimes, you would have never had it another way.

Double Trouble (Pt. 1)
Tumblr media
Words: 2310 Pairing: Steve Rogers x Bucky Barnes (formerly & eventually) Other Characters: Betsy Sarah Rogers (oc) & Eleanor Roosevelt Barnes (oc) Other Info: Parent Trap AU Inspired by: @caffeinated--writer‘s Post Summary: Betsy Rogers is about to be dropped off at a summer camp she doesn’t want to go to. She’d much rather spend the summer with her father and his friends moving into their new place. Ellie Barnes has been attending Camp Sunshine every summer since she was seven. This summer she’s going to finally be a Cabin Leader. But both girl’s lives are about to change when they discover a secret that ties them together forever.
Tumblr media
Camp Sunshine. Thirteen-year-old Elizabeth Sarah Rogers could have gagged as she read the name off the swinging wooden sign their car passed under. The sign was hung crookedly by a pair of chains that each connected to a large beam.  Camp Sunshine sounded like exactly the sort of place Steve Rogers would send his only daughter. Betsy continued to stare out the window, looking anywhere but at him. She imagined it was the type of camp that didn’t allow junk food or for the campers to be up past seven. The kind of camp that gave out patches for making popsicle stick houses or some other such nonsense.
“Why the long face, Bets?” Her father asked. He maneuvered the car into a turn and waited for her to respond, even though he already knew the answer.
“I don’t want to be here.” She mumbled to the window.
“I know, Chickadee.” He sighed, digging out an old nickname he only used when he was really trying to win his daughter over. “But we’ve been over this. You’re too big to fit in my luggage.” He joked, trying to get a laugh out of her. Betsy couldn’t help but smirk. Steve Rogers was the king of dad jokes.
“Don’t think I can’t see that smirk.” He commented, still driving down the winding camp road.” Listen, Bets I know you don’t want to go to camp, but I’ve gotta help Tony get the new compound set up and you need to be around kids your own age more.”
“I don’t like kids my own age!” She pouted. “I want to hang out with you and Tony and Natasha!”
“Well, maybe you just haven’t found the right ones yet.” He suggested.
“Well you should hang out with people your age.” She thought it was a very good comeback considering her dad was over ninety years old.
“Ha ha,” The captain feigned a laugh. “That’s different and you know it. Clint said this camp is nice. It’s where he usually sends Lila every summer.”
“Yeah, even the Bartons are going on a family vacation this summer.” Betsy complained. Steve sighed again.
“It’s only four weeks, Bets.” He added before driving the rest of the way in silence. The car didn’t go much further before stopping just outside of the main cabin. All around the manicured lawn of the main cabin girls were milling about in small groups of two to four. Some eagerly waved good-bye to their parents while others, like Betsy, looked as if they didn’t want to be there.
“Well, Chicakdee, this is where we say good-bye.” Steve told his daughter regrettably. She finally looked over at him and said the snarky line she’d been saving up in her mind for a full week.
“You mean this is where you ditch me for four weeks.” She huffed before opening the car door on her side. Betsy walked to the back of the car and waited for her dad to pop the trunk. When he did she reached in and grabbed her bags. She slung a duffle bag over one shoulder and her backpack over the other before slamming the trunk down. She then tapped on the trunk twice, so he knew she’d gotten everything, just like she’d seen the captain do when one of the Avengers dropped him off at home.
Betsy walked back towards the driver’s side and leaned into the window. She had to stand on the tips of her toes to do it, but she managed to kiss her father on the cheek. She then leaned back and offered him a salute.
“Bye, Captain Dad.” She said, bringing her arm to her side. “Promise you’ll at least write to me?”
“You’re going to summer camp, not to war, Bets.” He laughed. “But I’ll write, I promise. Stay out of trouble alright? I love you!”
“I love you too.” You answered back before he rolled up his window. It was a strange ritual that he insisted on for as long as she could remember. You should always tell someone you love them when you mean it because you never know when your last chance to say it might be. He’d told her once and the sentiment always stuck. She waited until his care had turned around and disappeared out of sight before heading inside the main cabin to check in.
“Name dear?” The elderly woman who was checking in campers asked her.
“Betsy or Elizabeth.” She added, realizing her father had probably registered her with her full name. “Elizabeth Rogers.”
“Ah, Rogers.” The woman nodded. She marked something down on the list in front of her. “You’ll be in the Cabin Five. You should find it easily enough. Your Counselor’s name is Ellie. Next!”
“Okay…” Betsy wandered outside back onto the lawn and hoped that she could find her way to cabin five.
“Ellie! El!” Betsy turned to look for Ellie, the girl who was supposed to be her cabin leader, as it seemed someone had spotted her on the lawn somewhere. But while she squinted against the sunlight a girl approached her talking a mile a minute.
“I heard you were a Cabin Leader this year! That’s so amazing! I mean it makes sense, you’ve been coming here for like ever, but what’s with the new look? I mean I’m into it but hiking boots? A denim jacket? Helllooo? Earth to Ellie!” The girl finally stopped for a breath.
“Sorry were you talking to me?” Betsy pointed at herself. “I’m Betsy Rogers and you are?”
“So so so sorry!” The girl exclaimed. “You look just like this other girl, Ellie. Have you met Ellie before?”
“I, ah, no.” Betsy shook her head. “But I’m looking for her. I’m supposed to be in Cabin Five with her. Do you think you could…”
“Oh Cabin Five!” The girl remarked excitedly, interrupting Betsy. “I can totally show you the way!” The girl grabbed Betsy by the hand and started leading her across the lawn. “I’m Joss by the way. Nice to meet you Betsy. I can’t wait to show you to Ellie! She’s gonna freak!”
Eleanor Roosevelt Barnes was in her cabin unpacking as she waited for her new campers to arrive. This would be her seventh summer at Camp Sunshine. She’d been going every summer since she was a little kid and this year, she was finally a Cabin Leader. She would be responsible for a whole cabin of campers. Sure, it would really only be her friend, Joss, and two other girls their age but she was excited anyway. Ellie put her hands on her hips and surveyed her four pieces of matching luggage.
“Maybe I’ve packed too much this year.” She sighed. She did pack an entire bag of just make-up and hair accessories.
“Ellie!!! Ellie! There’s someone you’ve got to meet!” Eleanor could hear Joss’ shouted from inside the cabin before the thin screen door flew open. “Betsy, this is Ellie.” Eleanor looked away from her luggage and over at the cabin door. The girl standing between her and her best friend nearly took her breath away.
Betsy was dragged across the camp by Joss, a girl who hardly ever seemed to stop talking. When they finally reached Cabin Five, Joss continued to rattle on while forcing Betsy inside. The cabin’s only other occupant at the time was quickly introduced as Ellie.
Ellie was, at least in Betsy’s opinion, way too overdressed for camp. Her dark brown hair was curled into perfect ringlets which had to have taken at least forty-five minutes to set. Her make-up was trendy and colorful. The kind you’d see on an Instagram model with perfect eyeliner wings. She wore a hunter green skirt that stopped just above her knees which perfectly coordinated with the camp counselor polo shirt she was wearing. Even her shoes where a pair of keds in the same hunter green.
Betsy, from Ellie’s perspective, looked like she’d just crawled out of bed and dressed in the dark. Her dark hair had been twisted into some sort of a knot that barely resembled a bun. She wore a denim jacket over a faded red t-shirt. She had on shorts of a different color denim from her jacket and a pair of brown leather hiking boots.
Despite their differences, both girls noticed that they had the same ocean blue eyes and a nose that was broad and pointed upwards. Their hair was nearly the same color except that Betsy’s was streaked with highlights from the sun and Ellie’s had the faintest remnants of bleach on the ends from when she thought balayage would be a good look on her. If they didn’t know any better, they would have said they looked like twins.
“Sorry, what did you say your name was again?” Ellie asked. She smiled wide so that she was showing as many of her perfectly white teeth as possible.
“Uh, Betsy.” She answered quietly. “Like Betsy Ross, my dad kind of has a thing for history.”
“Tell me about it.” Ellie laughed. It was a light laugh, like a bird’s song. It was the same laugh that Betsy had. That’s why her dad had called her Chickadee. He said her laugh sounded like a bird’s song. “My dad’s named after a president. So, he thought it’d be cute to name me after a first lady!”  Ellie rolled her eyes. “C’mon in and get settled. We don’t have a lot of time to unpack before dinner starts.”
“Okay, is no one going to talk about the fact that the two of you look exactly the same?” Joss asked. “Like exactly the same?” Betsy and Ellie looked at each other, neither wanted to admit that Joss was right. “I mean El, you’re always saying how you wish you had a sibling! Maybe you and Betsy are related!”
“Not possible.” Ellie shook her head. She took a stack of photos out of one of her suitcases and started pinning them to the cabin wall with thumb tacks. “My Dad doesn’t have any family. Unless you count Bill and Javier and the other guys from the shop. It’s just been me and him for as long as I can remember.”
“It’s the same with me.” Betsy agreed. She tossed her bags on one of the open beds. “My dad told me once that there were only two people he ever loved before me. He lost his first love in a really tragic accident and the second…” Betsy shrugged. “Well, we never really talk about him. It’s too hard for my dad, I think. Instead we kind of surrounded ourselves with a ton of found family.”
“What about your mom?” Ellie asked looking away from her picture collage on the wall.
“I don’t have one.” Betsy replied. She sat down on the bed she’d claimed for herself. “At least not the way that most people do. My Dads had me with a surrogate and when they split up I stayed with my Dad, Steve, because he stayed living in New York. My other dad moved away before I was even a year old. I don’t even know his name.”
“Okay that’s weird.” Ellie admitted. “Because my Dad had me with a surrogate and he used to live in New York but we live in California now. He said he left the guy that he was with because they were just too different. He said he didn’t even take much with him, just me. But there’s this picture of a blonde man taped to his toolbox at work. I always wondered if that was my other dad. Do you know what your other dad looked like?”
“I Saw a picture of him once, in a framed photo on my dad’s dresser, but when he saw me looking at it, he put it away.”  Betsy explained.
“Did he look like this?” Ellie riffled through the stack of photos she’d brought with her until she found the one she was looking for. It was a picture of her Dad standing outside of his garage. She’d taken it about two years ago when constructions was completed on the new factory. “Bucky’s Motorcycle Co” was what the new sign that stretched across the whole building read. Standing under the sign, smiling proudly was her dad. James Buchan Barnes. He had the same dark hair as Ellie and the same nose, and even, Betsy noticed as she studied the photo, the same ocean blue eyes.
“That’s him.” Betsy said, not taking her eyes off the photo. “That’s the guy I saw in the picture in my Dad’s room. Wait your dad’s the owner of Bucky’s Motorcycles? That’s so cool! My Dad has one of those, but he never lets me ride it…”
“Betsy! Focus!” Ellie commented impatiently. “Do you have a picture of your dad?”
“Right!” Betsy nodded. She sent aside the photo of Bucky and reached for her backpack. Inside her wallet she pulled out a small photo of her Dad that she’d taken with her instant camera. He’d just come back from a mission and was still wearing most of his Captain America uniform. He held his helmet in one hand, while his other was pressed to his chest. His head was tossed back on laughter. “It’s not the best,” She explained handing the photo over to Ellie. “But it’s the only one I have with me.”
“Wait, your Dad is Captain America?” Ellie asked as she studied the photo Betsy handed her. “My dad told me that my other Dad was in the military. That’s how they met.”
“Wait! Wait! Wait!” Joss gasped reminding the other two girls that she was even there. “If your if Ellie’s Dad looks like your other dad, and Betsy’s Dad looks like your other dad, doesn’t that make you both like, sisters?”

September 2020 // Chapter 2
“No, I’m not going to pick you up.” I shook my head, visibly and audibly annoyed. “You know damn well that I’m not getting behind the wheel. I’m hanging up, sorry.”
Converting potential energy into kinetic, the iPhone X left my hand, skimming across the wave-front of my bed. My hands ruffled through my hair as I inhaled then sighed, absentmindedly channelling the virtues of cellular respiration.
Tired of this perpetual bullshit, my fingers slithered across the Ikea desk before me, eventually detecting the apple of my bedroom’s Eden: a lychee ice Puff Bar. My fingers honed in on the device, ensnaring it, raising it to my lips. A deep breath saved me from the agony of sobriety, the nicotine buzz lasting a moment. Then, it was lost.
Six soft, knuckled knocks rapped at the bedroom door. “It’s unlocked,” I shouted.
A creak later, the door swung open, revealing Adam. There was nobody else in the house anyway. With a global pandemic at large and wildfires blazing on deep into September, neither Ajay nor Cam had seen Dwight House since March. Just Adam and me.
“Yo, we out,” he said, pulling a reusable, black cloth mask under his chin. “Can’t see shit outside but we still drinking, dawg.” Ah, the charming vernacular of a Korean-American friend from the elite suburbs of the East Bay.
“It’s good. What’re we feeling today?” I had actually enjoyed the past six months with Adam—it had been a good bonding experience. Despite his rough tone around me and the rest of the guys, Adam was quite versatile in social settings, weaving between upper-class gentility at investment banking info sessions and middle-aged rednecks at gun ranges. With classical Berkeley-liberal ideologies and Wall Street Journal-reading, center-right-leaning, finance friends, Adam defied social realities.
Adam shrugged. “Could go for some Chimay. I’m feeling classy.”
“Not a bad idea at all, my friend,” I said. It had been awhile since I’d had a good beer like Chimay, and I was getting sick of Coors Banquets. “On the other hand, your timing just might be—a bad idea, I mean. Air looks cancerous outside.” Marmalade light cast by the wildfires of a fuming Earth engulfed Northern California, held in suspense by cool, Pacific layers of atmosphere. It was like we were on planet Arrakis, from Dune, or trapped in the world of David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust.
“The air low-key is cancerous. AQI is pushing 180’s right now,” said Adam, raising his eyebrows.
“Looks like an N95-kinda day. I’ve got a spare, you know,” I said, gesturing to a pile of three or so N95 masks by the lamp on my desk.
Adam waved it off. “Eh, I’m good. That’s some puss shit. Let’s just run over to Crafts and Grapes or some shit, shouldn’t take long.”
I shrugged. “So be it.”
Tossing on a pair of five-and-a-half inch inseam Lululemon shorts, I joined Adam as he hopped downstairs.
“Got keys?” he asked once we reached the door.
“Yer, we out,” I said, shaking my keys out from my shorts’ pocket to lock the front door.
“Fuck,” griped Adam. “It’s actually hot as shit out here.” Smoky, red air obscured him from sight as he craned his neck to see me.
“Hence the shorts.”
Adam squinted his eyes, pursed his lips, and jutted his head back and forth, mocking me. “For sure. Forgot your MCAT-lovin’-ass could predict the future. But really though—it’s the middle of September, dude. This shit is wrong. It’s hot as balls and California is on fire and the sky is red and fools are straight-up dying off this COVID shit.”
“And you’re still an idiot,” I said, flashing a cheeky smile.
“Are you qualified to diagnose me as an idiot?”
“Maddie would say so.”
“Hence the pet names.”
“Precisely.”
“We gotta do something about this, bruh. This shit pains me to see,” declared Adam.
“Let’s start by drinking these brews. We’ll recycle the bottles after.”
We walked east on Dwight toward Telegraph, dodging cars as we skipped across the one way street. Adam was quieter than usual, for the most part, looking up from his iPhone 11 Pro Max periodically to comment on something he’d read in the news, or the glum weather. He wore a khaki short sleeve button-up, Kapital raw denim jeans with smiley face patchwork on the back left pocket, and a pair of slip-on Nike Janoski sneakers. The jeans were nice—quite expensive, from the looks of it—but looked baggy on him. He didn’t seem to mind. In fact, all of his clothes  wore a bit loose on him, akin to a fiery adolescent who’d picked out hand-me-downs from an older sibling. Who that older sibling might’ve been, I’d never know—with his unwavering demeanor, Adam always seemed like the eldest in the room.
Banking right onto Telegraph, we bore the full brunt of the veiled sun, which, though hidden behind dense clouds of smoke, now revealed its penetrating UV rays. We ducked under corrugated foam polycarbonate sheets, which lined the rooftops of mom-and-pop Telegraph shops, fending off the sun’s cancerous radiation. The insanity of the world mingled with the smoky, copper air, making me delirious. I imagined I was Mel Gibson or Tom Hardy in Mad Max, feigning off flashbacks in the Wasteland. At the corner of Telegraph and Blake street, Adam pushed and held open the door to Crafts and Grapes. Nodding my head at him in small thanks, I entered, squinting my eyes as the light shifted from hazy red to bright white inside. It was a tiny store, with two aisles directly ahead lined with candy, nuts, and other inconsequential (unless you ate too many) snacks, followed by two refrigerators: one in the back, the other on the far right. Cool, wispy air emanated from the cold storage, contrasting with the late summer atmosphere only meters behind us. A bell rang as the door squeaked to a halt, prompting the middle-eastern cashier, directly to our right, to rise from his stool and greet us. We nodded back silently, all three of us clad in masks.
Per usual, Adam took the lead, striding toward the fridge directly back. He popped open one of the see-through doors with his left hand, mapping his way through its items with his right pointer finger. Finding my eyes, Adam shook his head, indicating a lack of Chimay.
“Blue moons?” I suggested. “Mango wheats?”
Adam screwed up his face. “Fuck that. Let’s go with Lags.”
“Sure, why not.”
Adam kneeled and looped his hand through the cardboard handle of a Lagunitas StereoHopic IPA six-pack. We walked over to the register where Adam made small talk with the cashier. Eventually, he tapped his iPhone 11 to an Ingenico payment terminal, finalizing our transaction. Drinks acquired.
The bell jingled as the door shut behind us once more. We hurried home, eager to crack open our drinks, intent on droning out the blistered yonder. Adam tried to explain his enthusiasm for hoppy beers while I pretended to listen. He was distracting me, though; we both knew I couldn’t care less.
Arriving home, my keys found their way to the door, and we found our ways to the couch. A tenor beep resounded through our living room as Adam’s iPhone connected to an old speaker via bluetooth. “Street Lights” by Kanye West filled the air, followed by carbon dioxide bubbles freed by an unlikely liberator—the bottle opener.
Let me know
Do I still got time to grow?
Things ain’t always set in stone
That be known let me know
I found myself back in the hand-me-down BMW 330i, with her, the white wire packed into the lightning port of my iPhone, transmitting cosine waves that replicated the robotic voice I was listening to in my living room.
“Stop!” she cried, thrusting herself back against beige, leather seats. She wanted me to press the brakes. I had to stop the car, right, stop the car. Where were the brakes?
She was beautiful, of course.
Dark, brown hair fell over eyes of the same color, guarded by double-lids that I wish she hadn’t paid for.
Hardly anyone would notice the difference, but I did, and it hurt to know that she didn’t love them.
I loved them, unconditionally, but she loved the brakes.
Needed to find them.
We’d shared a large bowl of Marafuku’s acclaimed Hakata Tonkotsu DX ramen. I’d let her eat most of it, sneaking my chopsticks in for bites at intervals.
“Pennsylvania?” I shook my head.
“What, you’ve never been?” She tilted hers. “You’ll love it. Come with me.”
“You’re crazy,” I said, smiling. “My MCAT summer is coming up.”
She rolled her eyes. “Then I’ll help you study for it. Duh.”
“I’m sure Brandon would love that.”
“Will he? All the way from San Francisco?”
“He’ll make the trip.”
“Not if you do,” she said, melting my mind.
I was dizzy, sleepy, lost, a newborn. Vulnerable. And I couldn’t seem to find them.
I’m just not there in the streets
I’m just not there
Life’s just not fair
Life’s just not fair
Sonorant chimes reverberated in my ears as Adam clinked his glass bottle to mine. “Cheers,” he said with a nod.
“Cheers,” I echoed. Leaning my head back, I swallowed, allowing the cool liquid down my esophagus and into my gut.
“You good?” he prodded.
“Yeah,” I replied, my voice cracking a little. I cleared my throat.
“Pretty hoppy, huh?”
I took another sip, licking my lips after. “Quite. I suppose we knew what we were getting ourselves into. You know, given the ‘StereoHopic’.”
“You right.”
“Yeah.”
“Yo,” said Adam. “On another note—might be going in on an addy deal with Grace if you’re tryna hop in.”
I scratched my head. While I wouldn’t have any major exams in the near future (although midterms for my biochem course [MCB 102, for my fellow pre-med students at Cal] were slated for October sixteenth), I certainly had errands that might be eased by a twenty milligram dose of extended-release Adderall. There’s nothing like a thorough room-cleaning session when you’re high on stimulant drugs.
The first time I ever tried Adderall must’ve been during my freshman year, back in 2017. Midterm season was approaching—come to think of it, that was around this time that year—and our generous friend, Grace, was kind enough to grant me a ten milligram pill of instant-release Adderall. Grace and I, along with Adam and perhaps Ajay, too, were partaking in a midnight study session at Moffitt Library, which was open twenty-four-seven—prior to the pandemic. I popped the pill, chased it down with a Javiva drink from Peet’s, and got to work.
Twenty minutes later I began to feel its effects as the amphetamine altered monoamines in my brain, releasing surplus dopamine into my many synaptic clefts. Optimism filled me to the brim and my vision bent inward. I saw nothing but the iPad in front of me, my mind enamored by golgi apparatuses and various protein structures. The stimulant saturated me with a profound appreciation for all thoughts that meandered into my head; a giddiness originated in my heart, spreading down my arms, my legs, and outward across my skull, contracting then expanding once more. It was artificial love.
Eventually, I was distracted. Grace’s dilated pupils stared into mine as she chattered away  about Lin-Manuel Mir-something and a hurricane in Puerto Rico. After a second or two, my attention snapped away from cell membranes, landing instead on her words. The words of a girl from Colorado with a soft spot for the snow. I’d met Grace via Adam during Orientation Week and she’d quickly become one of my favorite people.
Gingerbread specks stippled her face like a George Seurat painting, fractal constellations arising as my eyes outlined her cheekbones. Gaps between long, chocolate locks revealed sepia collarbones, lined with descendants of the freckles on her face. A white Nike Alex Morgan soccer jersey overlaid the loose sweatpants that hung from her hips, held up by drawstrings I almost hoped would fail, concealing proportions that emulated golden ratios. Stained, white, laceless Vans hugged unpainted toes that tapped together when she spoke. Lips that scorned the artificially enlarged mouths of Instagram influencers communicated messages I was only barely beginning to listen to. She was the love interest of a nineties’ coming-of-age motion picture. But she wasn’t mine.
You know, I thought Adam might’ve loved her, but it was hard to tell when he was cycling through hookups with three different girls at a time. Come to think of it, I didn’t know if Adam loved anyone. A talker, yes; a charmer, certainly; but a romantic, I really didn’t think so.
He spent a lot of his time with her, no doubt. And she cared for him—anyone could see it. But she knew as well as I did that his head wasn’t in it. He wasn’t looking for love. He wanted to graduate, make money—to be someone. Sex seemed like nothing more than a physical need to him. I don’t think anyone would’ve described Adam as an emotionally vulnerable guy, and I don’t think anyone thought that emotion was what he kept those girls around for.
But at the same time, anyone could’ve seen what I saw in the way he bounced when she was around. Anyone could’ve heard the way he spoke about her. She meant something to him. But when you asked him about it, he’d brush it off; she wasn’t his type, or he had commitment issues (jokingly—but hey, grain of truth in everything).
Maybe she was his distraction from ambition—his distraction from latex-wrapped, emotionally removed nights and Wall Street Journal mornings, just as she was my distraction from cell structures.
For a good hour-and-a-half, Grace entertained me with conversation regarding natural disasters across the West; Broadway musical comparisons between Hamilton and Sunday in the Park with George; and the latest updates on Cal’s women’s soccer team, of which she was a huge fan. The Adderall certainly kept me focused, although not necessarily on my coursework.
“Let me know,” said Adam, tipping the bottle into the corner of his mouth. “I’m boutta text her back.”
I looked up from my lap at Adam. Right, I thought. “Sure, I could be down. Why not. Think you can pick me up two? I have some errands to run.”
“Twenty milligram XR work?” he asked as he tapped along the screen of his iPhone.
“That’ll do.”
The room went quiet for twenty to twenty five seconds as I was confirmed as an accomplice in the drug deal.
“What’s she been up to?” I asked.
“Hm?” he noised, raising his eyebrows without looking up.
“Grace,” I said. “Haven’t seen her much.”
He shrugged. “Not much, I guess. Drinking a solid amount though, from what I’ve seen.”
“Makes three of us.”
“Yeah,” he said, feigning a smile. “What about yours?”
“Maddie?”
“Yeah.”
I took a deep breath—inhaling, holding to the count of four, exhaling. “Not much of a difference, to be honest.”
“It’s not her fault, you know.”
“I know,” I breathed.
“Then talk to her.”
“It’s not like that,” I mumbled.
Adam paused.
I stared at my feet. “I’m sorry, Adam.”
He squinted. “The fuck you sorry for?”
“You know.”
He waved his hand aside, brushing it off. “I’m not tripping. Talk to her. Before I do it myself.”
I forced a smile. “Maybe it’s better off that way.”
“Here,” he said, handing me a two-foot-tall bong and lighter from under the coffee table. “Take it.”
Couldn’t stay away. My fingers gripped the paraphernalia as he withdrew. My heart quickened as the impending drug interaction approached. When it reached my lips, I lit, then inhaled, holding to the count of four, and then some. Blurry feelings rushed my mind as states of sufferance gave way to sedated nebulas, teaching me forgetfulness.

‘Just Sorry?’ A Mini Series (Chapter 12/??)
Tumblr media
Author’s Note: After an extremely long hiatus I’ve finally updated this series. Thank you to everyone who has kept an interest in this story. It really means a lot to me. Enjoy the read~  Warnings: Following chapters will contain violence, mentions of drugs usage, sexual situations, daddy kink, rough sex and angst.  Previous Chapter: 11
“Jaebum….Jaebum…Come on you can’t be serious right now I have to study”.
“But it’s been weeks since we’ve been alone.”
I know it’s been weeks but I really have to pass this nursing mid term. If not whose going to patch you up after your next fight with Yongguk?”
The soft giggle coming from the girl across from Jaebum made him want to grab the nearest pillow and fling it at her. But he couldn’t resist seeing the sparkles that seemed to dance across the young woman’s eyes as he looked at her.
Reina.
The only person in this world who knew Jaebum better than he knew himself. The pair had crossed each other’s paths the first night of spring back in 2014. The newest member to Yongguk’s team had been invited to the leader’s annual spring bash. Not only was the party a great way for the men to be entertained but it was also easier for the leader to find out who could keep a level head when things got too tense. Gambling and alcohol was one of the party’s main activities and with those two came many arguments that soon turned into physical altercations. Jaebum wasn’t much of  a gambler nor a drinker. But he did allow himself a couple of drinks to loosen up. As the brunette sat back and scanned the clubs scenery he couldn’t help but to notice a particular girl standing a few feet away at table with a group of what seemed to be her close girl friends. Her hair was curled with auburn highlights in at one moment black hair but when the flashing lights hit it Jae could tell it was definitely a deep brown. Instead of the classic tight dress he saw most girls wearing at the club, se had chosen to wear a oversized denim jacket over a fitted sharking  sliver crop tank top and black fitted jeans . Her lips were glossed just enough to be seen through the darkness of the room and her eyes were decorated with a simple black eyeliner. The brunette must have been staring too long because he noticed one of her friends nudging the girl at her side to signal that she was being checked out. Eyes locking with hers; Jaebum was given a welcoming smile and nod by the other. Using that as a sign to go over and talk to the enticing stranger, he politely waited for the right moment to tap her shoulder and engage in a conversation. “I haven’t seen you around Yonnguk’s Clubs before. Must be a newbie huh?” The girl spoke first as she extended her hand out. “I’m Reina…And you are?” Taken back by not having the first introduction. Jaebum quickly collected himself and pulled his lips back into his confident smile as he shook her hand “I’m Jaebum…Ah, but I hate the word newbie. It makes me feel like a freshman in high school or something.” Gaining a smile from Reina as a response. He moved closer to her as his shoulder brushed against her bare one. Just a slight touch but it was enough to make Jaebum’s hairs raise from sudden goosebumps. “Well I’ll let my cousin know that. But I can’t assure you that’ll work; he’s a real dick” Renia laughed at her own words and looked over towards the bar to see Yongguk with his arm around a girl who she was sure he didn’t even know what her name was. Rolling her eyes and taking a quick sip of her rum and coke Reina looked up at Jaebum not surprised to see the shock in his face. “Yeah I know…. A real cockblock right?” She joked which made the other laugh even though he was still quite thrown off but the new found information. “So you’re the cousin he always tells everyone to look out for. He did mention your name before but I should punch myself for not putting two and two together. Jaebum responded but the interest he had in the young woman didn’t go away one bit. Being even more confident in his movements he placed his drink next to hers as he extended his hand out. “Now  I definitely have to see what the fuss is all about. Care to show me some dance moves?” Reina looked the other up and down for a few seconds before looking over at Yonnguk once more. Instead of his attention being on the girl in his lap as he was now seated comfortable in a booth. His eyes were on his cousin. Cocking his eyebrow up surprised to see her with one of his newest recruits, he usually didn’t like the thought of Reina dealing with someone he worked with but Jaebum was different than the rest. Only being with his team for 9 months. Jaebum had already been pulling in double of what Yongguk’s senior members were pulling for drug dealing. That’s what happens when a young rich teenage boy with equally wealthy friends decides to give the fast life a chance. Yongguk never really understood the reason why a kid with such a bright future would want to cross paths with him but all he knew that if Jaebum kept bringing in revenue like he was doing the past few months Yongguk might have a prodigy in the making.. Getting a quick nod of approval from her cousin, Reina smirked and accepted Jaebum’s dance proposal. Within seconds the two were on the dance floor. Bodies pressed close against one other, Jaebum knew he had to find out more about her. Reina had a confidence about her that made him shiver. The pure fire he could see through her eyes could burst anyone into flames if she desired and that made him hooked. “I would like to spend more time with you” Reina whispered into young man’s ear as she pressed her ass so she could feel his bulge that she knew was already there. “Just let me know a time and place beautiful.” Jaebum responded to her moves as his hands wrapped firmly around waist. Pulling her into him as they swayed to the beat, he leaned close against her neck just enough to inhale the scent what seemed to be something floral with a hint of spice to it. A mixture9 of some sort. Not daring to kiss her skin, he wanted her to tell him what to do. She was definitely in control and they both knew it. “How about within the next twenty minutes in my apartment?” She turned to look at Jaebum and smirked when he stopped his movements but his hands stayed wrapped around her frame.  Leaning in to have his lips brush briefly against hers, he could feel his dick hardening at the thought of getting her alone.
“Let’s go then.”
___
“So you’re in school for nursing? That’s pretty fucking cool” Jaebum spoke out as his left index fingers slowly traced the soft outline of Reina’s spine. Messy strands of hair sticking to the girl’s forehead, her hands held a pillow against her naked chest as she laughed. “Cool?! I’ve been losing my hair stressing over school work. That’s what I get for wanting to be a good person” She joked but the slight redness of her cheeks gave away that she was happy for the other’s compliment. “Thank you though. It’s my second year in this program and I still feel like I have so much to learn. Which I do. I  mean- I want to learn as much as I can to help someone.” She went on and attempted to fix her hair but the strands went right back against her face. “I’ve wanted to be a nurse since I was 12. It’s the only thing I could actually see actually working out for me.” A soft smile made it way to Jae’s face. He couldn’t help but to picture a young Reina on career day stating her goals to her classmates with the same determined look on her face that she wore now. “Well I know you’re going to be a great nurse. I can sense it” He replied as he allowed himself to stare at the other a few more seconds than needed. “Thanks” Reina replied before the two sat in a comfortable silence. With that silence, there  was a shift in the air that Jaebum felt.  An excitement of the unknown that waited for them once the sun made it’s way back into the sky. Jaebum knew he didn’t want the encounter with Reina to be a one night thing and he could only hope she felt the same. Sneaking a glance at the girl, his eyes traced over the lines of her neck, the soft curves of her cheeks and the plumpness of her lips as he recalled the first kiss they had shared only a few hours ago. Before he knew it, the sun was making itself known to the world as the birds nearby welcomed it. Taking it upon himself to start getting dressed as Reina was still trying to fix her hair; Jaebum was about to grab his shirt before her voice stopped him. “So….Breakfast?” He heard her say but he couldn’t  tell if she was nervous or just tired. However,  once he looked at her. The same excitement and curiosity or what the future could hold was sparked in her eyes just as it was with him. Placing his shirt back to where it once was, he nodded and leaned in to kiss her forehead. “Breakfast” Silence Unlike most people in the house, Jackson loved to be alone for at least 2 hours throughout the day. It allowed him to center his mind and body after a long day of work and to also mentally prepare for the following day. Being the right hand to Jaebum could be mentally draining at times. Especially now that he would be working with Yongguk. The blonde knew everything he needed to know about the leader of group X and didn’t like any of it. Especially what went down between Jaebum, Reina and him.  When Jackson first agreed to work with Jaebum, he already obtained all the evidence he needed about the other. It was amazing the knowledge a little asking around the right people in Seoul could get him. Jaebum went from drug dealing with the gang ‘X’ for three years to building his construction company that seemed to grow into a powerful million dollar company within a year. Of course such a quick growth raised a few eyebrows with authorities but with the power of Jaebum’s uncle being the head of Seoul’s Police Department. He was able to turn a blind eye to the brunette’s risky past in order to keep the family’s name clean (And a yearly donation of $100,000 to the department didn’t hurt). Even with all this information,  the blonde agreed to keep Jaebum’s company reputation intact as along as he was able to advise the young CEO on future business deals from what first started off to be for China but soon turned into him handling both China and South Korea’s deals. It was a lot of work but the pay and friendship that came with working with Jaebum and the five other young men was something he wouldn’t change for the world. He truly gained six brothers within the Im Company However, these days things were different. Never would he thought Jaebum would work with Yongguk again. Not after everything that’s happened between the two. But here he was looking over the camera just like Jaebum had done before to make sure none of the X boys had done anything stupid. Everything about this situation was unethical but when was observing workers sneaking drugs into the company’s warehouse was? He had already went through the plan with Jaebum after they briefly spoke a few days ago . The deal was simple. Yongguk would use Im Warehouse to store 10  grates of cocaine that would be sold within the month to a few of his business partners. Jackson suggested that Jaebum get the names of the buyers but the other refused. It was to be a one time thing only. No need to know everything the gang leader was doing. “I can’t fucking believe I’m doing this right now” Jackson cursed but kept his gaze on the computer not wanting to miss a single second of what was going on. ‘X’ members Jongup, Daehyun and Zelo had one more grate to unload. If an ordinary person was to watch the screen they would tell the blonde he was crazy for watching his employees work so hard for over an hour from his home office but Jackson knew better. One wrong step and the whole company would be shut down. Thankfully everything was happening after hours and it was only the three men in the warehouse to witness the grates being stored. Once the items were placed in a dark corner of the warehouse that would get confused with the other inventory. Daehyun wrapped them in several layers of plastic and placed a paper that read “PURCHASE ON HOLD” which was a sign for other employees not to move until instructed. A soft sigh of relief left Jackson’s lips as he watched the ‘worker’s exit the warehouse to most likely report back to their boss. Pulling out his phone, his right thumb tapped against the device as free hand grabbed his jacket then turned off the computer.
[Text: Jaebum] It’s done. This better be the last time. I mean it Jae I don’t like this at all.
With the text sent, Jackson could only hope his best friend knew what he was doing. If not, things were only going to get worse. But he couldn’t let Jaebum’s greediness jeopardize the plans he had in store. Especially for him and Y/N.

august evenings - david dobrik
authors note; this one wasn’t requested, just something i thought of late last night! please send in feedback, reblog or like idm. requests are open for a little while longer. i also do blurbs if you want to send them in, just let me know that its a blurb request and not a full on fic.  word count; 3.2k. warnings; dom!david [ofc], masturbation, kinda public sex.
You were sure that it was the muggy humidity of the red-hot August evening that caused you to become so unreasonable with your words and the way you acted in a public area with your loving partner and closest friends by your side. The light, pretty summer dress you had decided to wear was sticking to your skin which you pulled at hastily, your frustration levels growing by the passing second as you listened to fellow friends make jokes that you would usually laugh at, this time you just stared dead ahead and prayed for the celebration to be over and done with quickly.
Or maybe it was the amount of booze you had consumed over the hours you had been stuck at the garden party - you needed something to get you through it. Long chats about YouTube did nothing but bore you, fake laughter shared between people who disliked each other irritating you, the falseness causing you to roll your eyes whenever an overly friendly remark was made. You couldn’t stand being at such events like this, especially when you didn’t fit in. You weren’t like David and the other members of the vlog squad, you had yourself a normal job like others and the events did not cater to people such as yourself. Discussions of video ideas, subscriber counts and the latest change to YouTube were of no relevance to you but you plastered a smile on your face for your boyfriend's sake and his sake only.
In the end, you decided that it was sexual frustration and nothing else. David had woken you up to kisses along your neck before moving in between your thighs, bringing you close to your orgasm before moving away and deciding that he was going to have a shower. You hated how much he teased, his talented fingers teasing you through the day as they glided along the inside of your thighs before moving away and acting as if he hadn’t got you all excited for nothing. You were longing for a release, desperate to taste him in your mouth or have him inside of you.
You tried to act calm and casual for as long as possible but David was no fool and could see the lack of availability in your eyes. Whenever he tried to make any type of contact with you, you would push him away and mumble an excuse before finding the table that was filled with expensive booze, finally deciding that if he was going to leave you high and dry then you would not give him any attention. The sun was slowly setting, an orange colour taking over the blue sky and the chats became more mellow, some people leaving the party to get back home or to be more adventurous with the Los Angeles nightlife. Like always though, David was still lingering around, deep in discussion with YouTubers about advertisements and sponsorship's as he filmed some content to put in the next vlog.
The slamming of your glass on the table had David, and others, turning their attention towards you. Quickly mumbling an apology to Casey, David made his way over to you to see what all the fuss was about. His arm wrapped around your waist as he dragged you towards a more secluded area of the garden where no-one would listen in on the conversation - or argument at the way things were going. Just from the way David walked you could tell he was annoyed, his jaw clenched and eyes wandering around the garden to check that no-one was looking.
“Are you going to tell me what the problem is or do you expect me to figure it out on my own?” David asked, his hands gripping your waist as he pushed you up against a tree, the bark pressing against the material of your dress and no doubt making it mucky. Your eyes fell to ground and refused to look into his, not wanting to cave in straight away, your hands fumbling with the bottom of David’s denim jacket that you adored. You refused to respond out of spite, bratiness something that David never appreciated but you didn’t appreciate being forced into a social situation where most of the people attending just wanted to use your boyfriend for his subscribers and views. “Don’t make me ask again,” he continued, voice only audible to you so he didn’t cause a scene.
David’s eyes kept shifting upwards, double checking that no-one was coming over to see what was occurring, the last thing he needed was an audience to your bratty behaviour. “I’ve told you; I want to go home.” Was all you said, somewhat feeling selfish for wanting to leave when David was still interacting with people but you knew him well enough to know that he would happily leave if that’s what you wanted, he was just being stubborn for the fun of it, just like you were acting like a menace for the fun of it. “I don’t like being surrounded by all these people, David. Can you not see that most of them are only acting all nice because they want to use you for their own gain?”
“You don’t know that, you're just making excuses up because you want to go home,” David scoffed, head shaking slightly at your comment. “Look, just another hour and then we can go, I promise. Let me get some footage of Heath and Zane being idiots and then we can go straight to the car.”
“I’ll just get a fucking uber, it will be quicker.” You attempted to walk away but David’s hands wrapping around your wrist and pulling you back stilled your movements, his fingertips gently digging into your wrist as a warning. “What do you want, David?” You snapped. A few people had turned their attention towards you but one quick look from David had them resuming their discussions.
David’s thumb ran across the palm of your hand as he tutted. “I’m going to presume it’s the alcohol you’ve had that’s making you act like this because you wouldn’t do this on purpose, would you? Maybe it’s the weather making you agitated, I don’t know. I just hope you're not doing this on purpose because that wouldn’t be fair.”
You knew that rolling your eyes at his words would not go down well but you couldn’t help yourself, the hot sun and champagne that had been placed out was getting to you drastically and causing you to put on a dramatic performance. “I just don’t like these events and that’s final,” you answered, not giving David a proper answer to the questions he was asking.
“Final?” He raised one eyebrow at your attempt to argue with him.
“Yes.” Pushing David away with all the strength that you had, you gave him a mocking smile before nodding towards the exit and placing one hand on your hip. “Now, am I getting an uber or are we going home and have you taken care of me?”
David understood the double meaning in your words and thankfully, nothing else needed to be said. His hand was in yours as he led you through the slowly vanishing crowd, mumbling something quick to Heath before raising his eyebrows in your direction. Heath laughed at whatever David said, angering you even more but you let it slide as you walked to where the car was parked.
“So then, are you going to tell me what’s gotten into you?” David asked, firing the car up and speeding away from the location of the party. Your hands played with the hem of your dress, eyes focused on the passing streets of Los Angeles and the young adults who were preparing themselves for a night out in the clubs. “That frown you are sporting doesn’t suit your pretty face.”
“These bullshit parties you attend don’t suit you either.”
“Can you not just answer my question or do you always need to talk back?” David asked, his spare hand moving to your thigh which he gripped harshly, another warning for you to stop. The back of your thighs was sticking to the leather seat of the expensive car causing you to wriggle around in your seat. David’s hand left your skin, a soft whine coming from you at the loss of contact. “Misbehaved all night and now you want my attention, it doesn’t work like that.”
Slowly, you let your tongue glide over your lips as you watched David’s hands tighten around the steering wheel and you mentally envisioned his fingers digging into your sides as he pinned you either against or the wall or into the bed sheets instead of the leather. You understand the dangers of leaning across the seats and pressing your mouth against his and you curse him silently for not flicking the car into autopilot and giving you a quick kiss, just something to get you along until you arrived back at home.
“How does it work then, David?”
David sucked on his teeth and attempted to ignore you, knowing full well that you were only trying to wind him up. You had succeeded so far, your words and angsty behaviour riling him up all night but he wasn’t going to vocally admit that to you, he would wait until you were alone in the bedroom where no-one could hear you cry out his name as you begged for forgiveness.
“Don’t make me pull up on the side of the road [y/n],” he warned, jaw clenched and foot pressing down on the gas pedal. “Won’t be able to walk straight for a week if I do,” he continued, eyes flickering over to check what your expression was. He could read you well, knew that you were soaked under your dress and desperate for some sort of touch but the secret side of David that only you saw was slowly coming out to play and that was dangerous territory.
“Sounds tempting.”
You finally turned to look at David, the bright lights of LA no longer appealing when your boyfriend looked as good as he did. His denim jacket was always your favourite along with the simple black cap he wore, a straightforward outfit that he managed to pull off so well. His neck looked inviting, almost begging you to leave a series of marks along the pale skin so he would struggle to cover it up in the morning when everyone came around to film some content. Those nights were your favourite, when David was at your beck and call and would do whatever you wanted, his wrists red and orgasm ruined. It wasn’t going to be one of those nights though.
David ignored your comment as he continued to drive back to your shared home, the journey seemingly longer and you swore that he went the long way home on purpose just to tease you and get you more wound up. The tesla was becoming hotter with every second, the car windows that were rolled down doing nothing. Sweat was forming along your hairline, sticking your locks to your forehead and causing a shine on your skin.
Knowing that you were still a good twenty minutes away due to traffic, you slowly slid your dress up your thighs until it circled as your waist, your lace underwear on show for David. “What are you doing?” Was the only question David could ask, repeating it a few times as he struggled to keep his eyes on the road to see if the car in front was moving forwards. You shrugged your shoulders innocently as you pulled your underwear down your exposed thighs, flicking the garment onto David’s lap which he quickly threw backwards, he refused to give into you.
“If you're not going to do anything about it then I might as well sort myself out. What are you going to do about it, David? Can’t exactly pull over when you're stuck in the middle lane, can you?”
“Don’t,” he whispered, mouth turning dry at the sight of you bringing your feet to the leather so you had better access. “People will see.”
“Let them.”
Rolling the windows up, David positioned himself so he was more comfortable, his eyes glued on your wandering hands. “Put on a show for me then, sweetheart.” He hated that he gave you into you so quickly.
Hair was falling into your face as you arched your back, the feeling of your fingers pressed against your clit bringing you a wave of pleasure that ran through your body. You hadn’t quite realised how desperate you were, your fingers already soaked after one simple touch. Nothing could compare to the feeling of David’s fingers though, nights spent alone in bed while he was in Chicago not getting rid of the sexual tension and you cursed him for being so skilled when it came to making you squirm. David adored seeing you in a vulnerable position, watching as your back arched off the hot leather seat and your free hand gripped whatever it could. It was erotic and sending his head into a spin. Words of encouragement fell from his mouth as you continued to work yourself to your peak.
“David,” you moaned loudly as you inserted one finger, picturing the sight of your boyfriend between your legs in the early hours of the morning. “I need you so bad.”
“I know,” he whispered, leaning over to press his mouth against your neck. “I can’t give you what you want though, can I? All because you couldn’t wait to get home. Impatient, aren’t you, girl?”
“Please,” you whispered, the feeling of two of your fingers bringing you pleasure but not like David’s did. You needed something from him, even if it was simple. “Don’t make me wait any longer. I’ve needed you all night, been waiting so patiently for you - “
“I know, I know,” he repeated, thumb stroking your warm cheek. “Bet they don’t fill you up as good as mine.” His mouth waters and he has to keep licking his lips to stop himself from drooling at the sight of you looking completely spent in the front seat of his expensive car.
Your eyes roll back at his egotistical words even though you knew he was right. Your thumb rubbed against your clit slowly as you let out a long moan, your hips flying forwards and sending your index and middle finger knuckle deep. Your free hand moves to David’s, grabbing it and squeezing tightly as you worked your way to the edge.
The sound of a car beeping behind you had you jumping forwards and pulling your dress down to cover your body, your orgasm running away and turning into nothing as David loudly swore and restarted the car. David ordered you to open your mouth, your breath caught in your throat when he slipped two fingers into your warm mouth. Your eyes fluttered shut as you moaned around his fingers, small hand grabbing his wrist to keep him in place.
“Hike your dress back up for me, doll,” he instructed. David’s fingers were dancing across your exposed thighs, fingers getting closer to your cunt before sliding back down, not willing to give up on the game the two of you had been playing for almost an hour now. You longed for an orgasm, you previously one ripped away cruelly because of impatient drivers that couldn’t wait an extra ten seconds.
You needed to feel his cold rings on the inside of your thigh, leaving imprints in their wake as he slowly moved upwards until he was finally filled you up with his fingers. “Thank you,” you managed to get out when David finally slipped two fingers inside of you, his other hand on the wheel as he drove through the quieter streets of LA.
“Not a problem,” he replied, voice sweet and soft as he listened to you moan out his name, your hips bucking against his fingers. Your arousal was dripping down his fingers and past his rings, his fingers knuckle deep inside of you and moving at a speed that had you scratching your nails along the leather. You ignored the comment he made about having to get the Tesla cleaned seen as you were an impatient girl and focused on your orgasm, your eyes fixed on David. “So wet,” he seductively whispered, bottom lip tucked in between his teeth. “All for me, yeah?”
You nodded and bucked your hips. “Always for you,” you responded, head tilting to the side slightly and banging against the window.
You moved your hand to David’s thigh and moved across until you met his hard cock, a quiet groan coming from David at the sudden contact. “It’s your time, darling, not mine.”
“Want to make you feel good.”
“Oh you will, trust me - “David was interrupted by your moan, your chest heaving up and down as you said his name like a prayer, orgasm getting closer and closer with every thrust of his fingers. David was struggling to drive, his eyes stuck between looking in between your thighs and on the road. Grateful that he was on a quieter street, David pulled over and turned the car off, his fingers soon returning to your cunt. “Fuck girl,” he whispered, his body leaning over the handbrake as he kissed your mouth and silenced your moans.
His tongue was wet on yours as he swallowed your moans, your face a picture of bliss when he pulled away and moved his free hand to your throat, applying slight pressure as he tilted your head up and exposed your skin to him. Your eyes were glued to the roof of the car as you wriggled around in the seat, the feeling of David’s teeth sinking into your neck as he left marks making the burning feeling in your stomach grow with every passing second.
“I’m going to cum,” you managed to get out, words broken up. David didn’t have a chance to encourage you, your orgasm ripping through your body at lightning speed as you came around his fingers, his name the only thing that came from your lips as you arched your back and clenched your thighs together.
“Good girl, such a good girl,” David whispered as he helped you ride out your orgasm, leaving open mouthed kisses along your cheeks sloppily. “So good for me, aren’t you?”
“I’m sorry for acting like a brat,” you said slowly, turning your body to the side and wrapping your arms around David’s neck. “I’ll make it up to you, I promise.”
“I know you will, darling.” A chaste kiss was pressed against your lips before David was pulling away and restarting the car. “Ten minutes until we get home so ten minutes for you to sort yourself out and prepare for what’s coming your way.”
You smiled softly to yourself, excited to have David to yourself for the night without anyone being around. You shot Natalie a quick text, briefly informing her of your plans without going into too much detail so she could arrange to stay elsewhere. A plan of action was already forming in your head, ways that you could get David back for his own behaviour that day and when you turned to look at him, affectionately placing your hand on top of his, you knew that he was preparing himself for what was about to come his way.

Farewell
Could I request a one shot where Bob or Tommy are walking the reader back him after their first date? Maybe they share their first kiss @ it starts to rain at the end? Thank you! @wheresthewater

——————————————————————
“Well,” The hoarse voice belonging to your date filled the air, joining in with the wind that whipped harshly around the two of you. “I think the sun’s finally going down.” He commented quietly. His hands planted against the tabletop firmly, a sturdy surface for him to lean against as he hunched over to retrieve the leash that was securely tied around the picnic table that the pair of you had been sat at.
The sky in the distance had red’s, orange’s, and yellow’s dancing vibrantly across the length of it. The color’s clashed and collided, mingling to create an array of beautiful scenery. The bench you were perched on was beginning to grow uncomfortable, but that was expected after sitting there for hours. Today had been a great day — a great date. The man who’d spent the last 5 hours making you giggle until your throat hurt and smile until your cheeks ached was knelt in the dirt, adjusting the collar that encircled his pup’s neck.
His name was Bob. He had shaggy brown locks that always seemed to be messy. The back was always impossible to brush down for the strands would eventually stick out here and there. He was dressed down in a navy blue coat and some jeans, the marshmallow which matched his denim probably wouldn’t have looked good on anybody else, but he wore it very well. He had stubble along the length of his cheeks and jaw and some fur on his neck. Thicker strands of hair covered his upper lip and chin. It suited him very nicely. His full pink lips were drawn upward into an evident curve, so sweet to stare at as he cooed to the mutt that kept leaping up and on to his knee. His dog’s name was Rocco, and because Bob had only recently become the owner of the animal, you figured that the dog park was the perfect place to go for a first date. It meant all there was to do was talk — and talking seemed to be something incredibly easy for the pair of you. Your eyes followed the man as he stood up completely. The soles of his boots dug into the mud, blue eyes drifting from Rocco, to the leash he held, before lifting to you as you rose up from your seated position.
“Ready to go?” He inquired, knuckles tightening around the lead so Rocco couldn’t break free as he desperately tried to. He tugged and tugged and tugged but Bob knew that if the mutt got the chance, he’d take off and this was a dangerous place to do that. The road was far too close — a very poor placement. You nodded your head in response to his question, but he could see the reluctance on your face and disappointment in your gaze over the date coming to a close. He was going to ask you out again though, he was just waiting until he had a chance to escort you home. The man’s fingers were warm as they brushed over your own. His thick digits were double the size of yours as you weaved your hand to fit snugly inside his. The pair of you made your way toward the park’s exit. He undid the hatch which enclosed the pair of you in the fence and smoothly opened the door. You slipped out, hand still locked around his own, and led him toward the sidewalk. The pavement was covered in fallen twigs, scattered pebbles, and crumpled leaves. You narrowly avoided stepping on the rocks, tip of your boot instead kicking them so they bounced along the path before rolling off to the side and disappearing into the tall blades of grass.
The walk was quiet, neither of you too fixed on ruining the peaceful silence. Birds tweeted softly in the surrounding trees. The sun faded in the distance. Rocco trotted along in front of the pair of you, tongue hanging out of the side of his mouth as he happily made his way down the sidewalk. He didn’t know where to go, but the soft tugs of guidance from Bob were very helpful. Bob didn’t know where he was going either, he was just following you. His hand tightened around your own in the slightest so he could hold your hand more securely. You looked up at him with a slow smile before inhaling deeply.
“I had a really good time today.” You informed him, fingertips lazily caressing his own. “And I’m really glad you finally asked me out.” Months of being his cashier had finally paid off. He came to the grocery store three times a week and bought too many of the same items. It was painfully obvious his constant visits were merely excuses to see you, so you’d mustered up the courage and had visited him at the bar he worked at. Your little burst of bravery had been very nice to have because he’d shown up at the grocery store the following day with a stutter and an urge to ask you out. It took him a few minutes, but he managed. And now, he wasn’t nearly as shy as the fellow who’d asked you out on this date.
The man at your side was charming, funny, talkative. He was dangerously good looking. So kind and caring. He’d offered you his jacket probably a hundred times and though at times you’d wanted to say yes, you couldn’t, because then he’d be cold. Bob was very alert. He was attentive and you loved it. If you shivered, you bet he’d haul that coat off his shoulders and drape it over yours without even asking. Leading him toward the darker part of the city, your head rolled to the side to find his strong arm.
“I hope that you’ll let me take you out again?” He spoke up, voice much more hesitant than it had been seconds ago. There was no instant response from you. Only the sound of your shoes padding against the cement alongside his and the soft patter of the pup’s feet. Your brows twitched, as if you were thinking on your answer.
The street lights in this part of the town were nonexistent. And since the sun was long gone now, it was practically impossible to see but because you’d done this walk too many times to count, you didn’t need the guidance from the bright bulb. You had the walk memorized. Turning down an alley, you nuzzled into him further. “Let me think about it.” Your response was breathy, a teasing atmosphere surrounding the short sentence. Bob couldn’t help the twitch of his lips. He knew you’d say yes, the date had been amazing — he thought. A very small light twinkled above your door step. It wasn’t exactly blinding, but it lit up the wooden walkway. You came to a halt at the foot of the stairs before crouching down so you could love on Rocco. “Bye buddy.” You cooed before kissing his wet nose. “I’m sure I’ll be seeing you again sometime, mh?” Your lips repeatedly pressed to different parts of the animal’s fur and Bob couldn’t help but shift in anticipation. A bubble of warmth floated around in his belly, alerting the man that you would in fact kiss him the same way if he grew some balls and made the first move. He cleared his throat before shoving his hands into the deep pockets of his trousers. He continued to watch you bid the pup goodnight.
“Do I get the same farewell?” His question sounded much braver. Lifting your gaze to him, the twitch of your brows asked him if he was serious. Rising from your squatting position, you laid your hands on your hips and stared up at the bloke.
“Rocco has been kissing me all night, every chance he’s been given, so..” You pulled your lips in innocently before releasing them so you could smile. “It’s up to you what happens from here.” Your lashes fluttered, shimmering orbs running along his features and lingering on his lips. Internally you begged like a child for him to kiss you, but externally you wore a smug grin. Bob narrowed his eyes in the slightest before stepping toward you. His wife palm found your lower back, a very tender way for him to slowly guide you forward and into his arms. Gazing up at him, you set your hand on his chest, lazily drawing sloppy patterns on the front of the plaid.
“I’ll kiss you.” He whispered, warm breaths mingling with your own. “If you’ll go on another date with me.” A sharp giggle left your lips before you lifted your other arm and locked it around his shoulders.
“Oh, I’d be a fool if I said no.” You bit your bottom lip. Leaning in so that your nose brushed over his own, you giddily smiled before lifting your finger to trace his plump bottom lip. “Besides, I have a feeling that if I did say no, you’d show up at my workplace and attempt to serenade me.” Another giggle left your lips. It was music to his ears. His other hand joined his first, both encircling your hips before he tugged you forward and against him firmly.
“How did you know?” He teased. His nose lowered so that it skimmed your lips. He set you up for the sweet peck and you kissed the top of his nose without reluctance. Once you’d kissed his nose and he had pressed a sweet peck against your chin, he then lifted his face so that your mouths lined up perfectly. Eye to eye, Bob gazed at you with affection dancing in his gaze. A silence hung between the two of you as you caressed his chest, other hand fisted in the shoulder of his shirt. His hands lazily rubbed the length of your back as the two of you held eye contact. You let out a breathy sigh of enjoyment before leaning toward him when he began to near. His lips parted, opening in the slightest, and yours followed suit. Pressing his mouth against your own firmly, he drew the most pathetic, desire-filled whimper from your throat. His stomach twisted in knots, butterflies fluttering in the pit of his tummy. He drew you in even closer, a low groan of happiness escaping him. All this time he’d been thinking about what your kiss would feel like — taste like? It was soft. It was slow. He could tell you had no desire to rush. Your mouth was so satisfying — so deliciously inviting. He’d rather suffocate than give his lungs anymore oxygen. He knew they’d be craving it any minute, but he was going to drag this out until he was a panting mess. Your hand moved from his shoulder to his hair. Fisting your fingers in his brown locks, you kissed him even deeper, mouth opening wider, luring his to do the same. The pair of you stood there, mouths interlocked as Rocco circled the two of you. Your chest molded against his nicely, a secure place to rest your bodyweight while the kiss grew more and more passionate. Bob was beginning to back you up and you blindly climbed the steps. Your hand curled tighter in the front of his jacket, slight clumsy footsteps growing more and more frenzied, but as the two of you neared the door, Bob pulled back. He swallowed down the building lust and reminded himself that this was only the first date. He didn’t get very far before you tugged him back and kissed him again. He was practically kissing your wide smile, but it didn’t matter to him, he still enjoyed it. It was only when the sky opened and droplets of rain began to fall from the invisible clouds above that the kiss came to an end.
Water droplets hit you in the face, racing along your warm skin as you smiled up at the man. His hair was soon to be soaked, clothes just the same. Rocco was barking at the water that hit his fur, but his tail wagged at a very quick pace, a sign that he rather enjoyed the change in weather. Your lips hovered a few centimeters from Bob’s so when you spoke, your mingling breaths mingled even further.
“I’d invite you in, but.. I think I’d do a lot more than just kiss you.” You warned the man. “And we should save that for at least the second date.” You pressed your lips against his cheek and lingered in place before backing up so you were underneath the awning. Bob was still stood in the rain which feel increasingly harder over time. You were unsure how someone could look so good, but as you backed up and blindly inserted the key into the lock, you didn’t ponder the fact too much. All that mattered was the good looking fellow on your front porch was soon to be all yours.
“Goodnight, beautiful.” He called out before hunching over to lift Rocco. “I’ll see you soon.” His smile was one of assurance and confirmation. You tipped your head in the slightest before giving him a slow wave.
“Let me know when you make it home.. and..” The temptation to invite him inside was strong. He could at least wait until the rain stopped, but you both knew that if he came in for even a second, you’d be rolling around on the floor like lovers, a tangle of limbs bare and intertwined in front of the lit fire. “hurry so you don’t catch a cold.” Standing in the doorway that led to the warm, dry living room, you kicked off your shoes and gave him a look that said what you wouldn’t allow yourself to verbally. Bob knew what you wanted to offer, but he also knew it was wise to turn down. He waved to you, unbothered by the cold droplets that soaked his attire. The warmth in his chest and the thumping of his hammering heart was enough to keep him cozy on the journey home.
