OKAY so the concept is. about 6 months post-canon, the main and minor families are invited to the destination wedding of one of their allies from a hugely powerful mafia family - it's a few nights staying on a private tropical island, and as a respect/trust/hospitality thing, it would be considered really inappropriate for guests to bring more than one or two bodyguards per group.

so Tankhun is like “well then obviously I can’t go?” because while he is now much better at leaving the house, he’s not quite ‘get on a plane and fly to a random island for several days of intense socialisation with incredibly dangerous near-strangers without a single Trusted Bodyguard’ levels of better.

he’s talking to Chay about it and Chay's like “yeah, it's kind of fucked up that everyone gets a +1 but not a bodyguard. how would anyone even know if your +1 was your bodyguard?!” and Tankhun's like “.....Chay you're a genius. Arm, I need you to be my wedding date.”

commence the fake dating shenanigans! they ‘reveal’ their secret, long-term relationship to the entire family, and then they’ve got to pretend to be a couple in front of everyone while Arm actually works as Tankhun’s bodyguard. as the only other person who knows their relationship isn’t real, Chay is helping to mastermind the entire operation. what Chay also knows is that Khun does actually have very real and Not Fake feelings for Arm - and you can be sure he’s going to be a menace about it.

luckily, Khun is being just as much of a menace in return - the wedding is the first time Kim and Chay have been in the same room since… well, everything, and Tankhun has watched them both silently pine for each other for long enough. background KimChay reconciliation era my beloved!

and so the usual fake dating antics ensue! lots of pining… plenty of acting out intimacy while wishing it was genuine… Chay putting them in so many Situations… lines slowly blurring between what is part of the act and what is real… and. obviously. there was only one bed.

🙊 it's a bit of a slow burn so the first few chapters will just be filled with flirty little exchanges like this before the eventual smut. i'm planning on 5 chapters but i might do 6th if the 5th doesn't feel like a proper ending once i've finished writing it. i'm aiming for 6k-word chapters, but the later chapters might be longer.

Just a little life update here!

I am gonna be a ✨mom✨!🎉🎉🎉

I found out 2 weeks ago right before my AO3 was released from “jail”. Due to this development, I’ve had an extremely busy 2 weeks and I’ve been very tired and feeling kinda gross as well. I’m happy and excited for this next chapter in my life! It’s just taking a toll on my body and mind (I got brain soup rn). The only thing I’ve been semi-able to write has been for my Villain Leo AU and it’s just been a lot of rambling and nothing refined bc words just aren’t wording rn.

All this to say! This is why the next Aftermath update is taking so long. I know you guys had to wait a long long time, (that 2 week suspension really took the wind out of my sails for a bit) but I have written about half of it! Maybe just over half. It’s also state testing month for my kids at work and then it’ll be all about review and field trips and such. I’m just gonna be super busy and tired until summer hits. I should be able to update before then! I just need to hit a good writing streak when I have less soup brain.

I’ll tend to do more life updates and writing snippet updates and such on my Twitter, so if you’re not following me there, now might be a good time if you’d like more consistent “yelling” from me 😂

so I’ve been talking to this girl through tinder (we go to the same college and have mutual friends but we’ve never met in person or talked before now) and I am getting this stupid grin on my face whenever I get a text from her. we are currently on break but when we get back on campus she wanted to do something artsy with me and I’m very excited for that.

I guess my question is…how do I not mess this up lol. I know it’s too early to be a “date” or a “relationship” but I’ve never been on a date or in a relationship and therefore I really don’t want to do something wrong.

Ok anyways, I think the best thing to do with these situations is to have a set of back up questions or like conversation starters. Key word here is back up!! Try to let the conversation flow naturally but if there’s ever a moment where you’re like omg what do I say? then you know that you have something to refer to. I find that’s something I get nervous about so going into a situation knowing that I’ll be able to handle what I’m scared of happening (awkward silences), helps ease my nerves a bit

Also it sounds so cheesy but smile :) and just be yourself! I think somewhere I went wrong with past dates or situationships was my desire to be too similar to the other person. Having common interests is great but don’t let it dilute who you actually are and what other interests you have. If she mentions something you don’t like or you don’t know much about, talk about it!! I’m always interested in different opinions and hearing about what other people think so I’m sure she does too 🥰
