i also feel like i should clarify what i mean by "florian's main goal." in mjverse, (aka my interpretations of the game's universe,) florian & juliana are siblings and essentially act as co-protagonists. while juliana is the more talented battler of the two and ends up serving as the main protagonist of the victory road & starfall street storylines because of that, florian wants to become a pokémon professor so he focuses on helping out arven in the path of legends storyline while filling out the pokédex. the only reason why he's a competent trainer is so that he doesn't get completely bodied by wild pokémon in the midst of doing field research. and yes, knowing that probably ends up making kieran's complex about his own skills as a trainer even worse.

What would it be like if GA Griffith and NeoGriff suddenly swapped bodies

Well it'd be a kickass fanfic premise.

NGriff in the Golden Age would be interesting from NGriff's pov because of, let's be real here, all the feelings it would unlock that NGriff would try and eventually, inevitably fail to deny. I think he could play the part of human Griffith relatively well, especially if it's post-Promrose when Guts expects to view Griffith as distant and other. He and Casca might notice something's off, but they'd probably chalk it up to Griffith spending so much time around the nobility or something like that.

But yeah emotionally he'd be fucked lol, and it would be great. I can just imagine him bottling it up and playing the part, going through the motions to keep the past on the correct path until they swap back, but when the second duel comes around he fucks it up and maims Guts instead of losing to him.

Idk how that works with fate or whatever magic sent him into the past, but NGriff's stay there culminating in changing everything in one impulsive very slightly altered sword swing feels so right. Say once the timeline's been ruined they shift back bc that's how mysterious time travel works in fiction. Or yk, NGriff disappears because he just wrote himself out of existence. Or say NGriff knows why it happened and knows it'll only last X amount of time and the 2nd duel was one of the last things in the schedule before returning to the future. Point is, human Griffith returns with a new future laid out.

Human Griffith in NGriff's storyline would also be amazing because his angle is experiencing what it's like to have gained everything he ever wanted at the cost of Guts and the Hawks, and realizing he doesn't want it. But at the same time it's extra complicated bc NGriff did like, create a utopia. Human Griffith's gonna be hanging out in Falconia going 'damn I really followed through here.' Which makes his choice even worse, because he'd be trading a certain roaring success for Guts and much less, if any, success.

Though this could be mitigated a little if human Griffith is more disturbed by NGriff's means of yk, bringing dragons into the world. It could be a good eye-opening revelation of the cost of his dream, beyond his own personal relationships. I don't think he could write off the lives lost to fantasy creatures the way NGriff can.

He would obviously have to come face to face with Guts, see how much Guts hates him now, and be horrified.

And it's even better from Guts' perspective because he goes to confront and kill NGriff and finds the Griffith he's still in love with in his place, and that's just ideal romantic drama. Guts swinging his sword and altering the trajectory to miss him at the last second when he looks into Griffith's eyes and instantly fucking knows. I'd be remiss not to link this amazing fanart of that theoretical moment here btw.

That could also be a revelation for Griffith too - the realization that as much as Guts hates who he became, he loved and still loves him. Like, say Griffith has learned what happened in the Eclipse - Casca's kidnapped and hanging around, maybe he used his god powers to read her mind. (Also human Griff and post Eclipse sane amnesiac Casca would be its own wild can of worms, but I'm not gonna get into that bc that would take too much imagination.) Point is he knows why Guts wants to kill him, thinks Guts is absolutely 1000% justified, probably plans to let him, and so when Guts refrains and like, let's be real here, probably desperately kisses him instead, that's a major wake-up call about the nature of Guts' feelings.

If this is the same fic where they swap back after NGriff fucks up the second duel, it could be a perfect moment for human Griff to reappear in the past, in front of an injured, miserable Guts, and do some confessing. And it would be a perfect moment for NGriff to return, say something ambiguous, and... either kill Guts or let Guts kill him, depending on the fic's vibes and how NGriff's side of the story went. Maybe he can kill Guts with a certain sense of serenity knowing there's a parallel universe out there where they can be happy. Maybe the timeline's about to collapse and he lets Guts kill him because it doesn't matter anymore and it's a moment of spiritual fulfillment and joining. Maybe his emotions have been awoken enough that he wants to die. Maybe his emotions have been awoken enough that he wants to kill Guts for still affecting him. Yk, it's all good here.

this is so random but i just found your blog and i needed someone who wasn’t a gaylor/kaylor to bounce of off (because i am one, but hesitantly) what do you think about kaylor maybe being like a really intense friendship? that maybe blurred the lines between romantic/sexual/platonic? because idk i feel like a lot of “evidence” that gaylors/kaylors post makes me kind of roll my eyes, but i feel like a lot of it also makes sense. i feel like a lot of wlw figure out they’re gay or explore their sexuality for the first time through some intense “platonic” relationships that kind of blur the lines between friendship and something more. but i don’t think the timeline adds up for a full blown relationship, considering karlie/josh and taylor/joe. but also celebrities date sooo differently then us “normal” people, so i feel like maybe when both relationships weren’t as serious or strictly monogamous (obviously just speculation that they weren’t monogamous, but ik sometimes ppl are on/off depending on distance and work schedules and filming and tours) and that maybe something could’ve happened there. not a full blown secret relationship and engagement (those theories… scare me) but just… something? i also don’t really believe in any of the other theorized relationships besides swiftgron (and some of the one-off can-be-read-as-gay things taylor has done, or that have been said about her) (like liking lesbian p0/rn, wearing a bi pride bracelet, saying gay pride makes me, me, people that know her calling her king, the fact that she actively consumes so much wlw media, etc) so like. speculative gaylor that has fun with the theories but also wouldn’t be surprised if i was just projecting lmao. sorry this is literally a wall of text.

TL;DR: i think kaylor or gaylor is just a rorschach test at this point. you'll see what you want to see. personally, i think they had a very close friendship, and they were significant figures in each other's life--at the same level of family or romantic partner, and they had a very painful (perhaps prolonged) friend breakup that hurt taylor really deeply.

independently of karlie, i think taylor might have questioned or come to new realizations about her sexuality, because... she's a normal human and goes through periods of change and self-realization just like we all do.

but i don't think the speculation you listed is compelling, with context. like, being called king is very common for high-powered women. florence welch has a whole song about it! wearing all the bracelets fans gave her, including a bi pride one, was a very beautiful and kind gesture! she was talking about mv concepts! idk idk sometimes it feels like gaylors think that if taylor is straight she should act like a bigot (the bracelet is the perfect example of that imo) lmao

12/12/21 — behind on my study schedule already! 🤡🤡🤡

I guess I underestimated how busy I get on most weekends... even though I just spent the weekend cooking/eating/watching TV with my grandma. Lol. We watched our fav crazy doctor, House, and a hodgepodge of westerns. Gonna finish up the night by delivering a long-winded, impromptu sermon finishing another module or two, planning next week, and doing my Bible study.

I'll probably sit and reestimate things and actually use all of March for this study sprint, instead of stuffing things in just Dec/Jan/Feb.

I'm excited that I'm actually willing to be flexible about this instead of getting frustrated right off of the bat. Telling myself that I'll be okay with it taking 2x, 3x as long definitely worked in my favor.

In other news, I decided to actually put my priorities in order, and let my time spent/scheduling reflect that— 1. God/Discipleship, 2. Mental/Physical/Environmental Health, 3. Relationships, 4. Career/Study, 5. Hobbies.

God/Discipleship — Aside from working through Matthew with my friends/BSF (which runs until the start of Q2 next year, when a new study is announced/starts), I have a short Bible study on the Lord's Prayer planned for the rest of this year, and next year, I'm reading the whole Bible and working through The Bible Study (which is so pretty, btw!). Me and my friends are also in talks to start a faith-based podcast, so we'll see! I also decided to take it very easy on Sunday in observance of the Sabbath (which is for man, which leads me to my next priority ;-))

Health — Mental, physical, and environmental health. I've restarted therapy, and since it's costing me so much money, I'm really going to try to give it my all and get my money's worth, yano. I'm waiting for some kind of diagnosis (ADHD, Depression, GA... who knows), in which case I'll be glad to have an answer for why I am the way I am. Lol. Physically, I'm going back to meal prepping and eating whole foods on a regular basis, mixed with a little bit of IF, nothing too crazy— except for the Daniel fast that I think I'm going to participate in next January. We'll see. I've never been plant-based for that long. Me and my friend also agreed to do some sort of exercise regimen for 60 days (I negotiated a restful Sunday, which is such a reprieve, lol), and I'm excited to see where that goes! Environmentally, I'm going to make sure that I keep up with housework, because in all honesty, if my house is a wreck, I am too.

Relationships — I'm doing pretty decently in this category lately, but I want to do better! I want to spend time with family and friends way more and make a commitment to take things to the next level with friends that I actually want to do life with, as they say. More transparency and vulnerability, keeping my word, going first and making real efforts to spend time, etc.

Career/Studies — Low on the list, huh? Well, I do want to spend 2-3 hours studying/day, but not at the cost of all the other things! I do want to pivot slightly in my career, but aside from that, I'm doing okay in my job. And I'm not in a rush to make anything happen for the first couple of quarters of the year, so if I can only put in an hour or two, I'm going to be completely satisfied with that!

Hobbies — I'm focusing on gaming, reading, and making music. Reading and music are things that I put off most often! Gaming is hit or miss as far as how satisfying it can be, so I think I'm going to save it for Sundays only. Reading is something that I can chip away on when I have time in the day; 15 minutes here, 20 minutes there, which is great! Music is extremely high effort and high resistance... From learning theory to practicing piano, to re-recording vocals on a short deadline... It's stressful, honestly. I've decided to take a step back from music for at least Q1. No more music collabs. I might go back to doing the bare minimum of playing the piano and working through Alfred's Book 1 for 30 mins/day. I might play around in a DAW or work with a few loops, but I won't be doing any serious production, no collaboration at all, period. Trying to be a vocalist gives me the most stress, so I'll settle for being a beginner instrumentalist most of the time, a novice producer some of the time, and a collaborating vocalist none of the time. Praise be! Lol.

It's going well!! We had a cool party yesterday, not for Vs day (we done celebrate that here) but for Abi's day! That's basically our mentors' celebration. Our grade threw a concert for them with games and performances, and I was leading the whole show? hey there. I totally get your frustration with endgame and the ending. I wasn't happy and I'm not happy how half the fandom tells me/us how we have to look at it. how we have to accept it. how the actors are happy with it and so should we. how the writers/producers - okay, I'm gonna leave them out of this seeing neither of them have any idea what they have done in the first place. after all they disagree on everything in every interview since the release. and isn't that funny? how even they are not on one side with the movie? what I despise most right now when it comes to this movie and this fandom is how we are treated. how we should tag our “hate” - which I think is funny since I didn’t hate the movie entirely. I hated pieces of it, like I did with past movies. I never liked doctor strange and even back then people were allowed to mention how casting cumberbatch for the part wasn’t the smartest idea they had. (2/?)

people want us to be happy with an ending that doesn’t make sense to us and they appreciate and are “allowed” to shove down our throats with their happy posts about a perfect ending. how is taking tony’s life after he finally married pepper and got a daughter is perfect? how is sending steve back to peggy after they did everything in their power to convince us he moved on from his past life…how is that perfect? you can probably tell I’m bitter. I really am. there’s not a day that goes by I’m not frustrated with what we got after ten years and 22 movies. however, I thought to myself what would it give me to cling on to this on my blog. would it change anything? I do know I’m not alone. I see so many people agreeing with this anger and it gives me some sort of peace. at the end of the day, though, it’s also important to see what it gives to you. (4/?)

talking to one of my closest friends about it and voicing my frustration with the end helps me more than keep posting about it. because in the end it won’t change a thing. the longer I surround myself with the frustration and anger and everything that comes with this not being what I had hoped for the more it pushes me from the fandom. of course everyone do as they please and I get people who want to get it out of their system. i mean, yeah. i know im not alone, i do. i see some of it on my dash, but not a lot, since ive had to block every marvel related tag just to keep from indulging in some light murder (just gentle ones, not to worry), and i really cannot fathom why ppl on the other side of the isle can’t do the same? or if you’re getting tired of the negativity? blacklist. or unfollow, block even. 

as ive said a few times lately, ive been here 6 years. and this is the first time ive aired my frustration in any noticeable way. sure there’s been a few occasions where i got the salt shaker out, but that was in relation to much more limited subjects, and it was a post or two at the most. 

ive been frustrated with previous movies too, but ive kept my trap shut, ive just gone on, kept my queue stocked, giffed the rare set and hid behind pretty solid content, no drama, not personality, no engagement. 

and it’s not too bad, to just be anonymous, to look at the pretty, spread the pretty, do the occasional tag rant, and let that be it. 

but.

when i came back after a long hiatus last autumn i started writing again. i posted a psa where i apologised for the fact that i would reblog my writing on this blog, i informed what tags i was gonna use, and for the first time i actually checked my follower count before and after. i lost 20 followers the first day. for posting writing. my writing. that was tagged to a ridiculous degree. and i saw a fair few more disappear before the exodus, and idk. i made me realise a thing or two.

one, people like my blog and the content i post

two, they’re only here for that content

three, to have a strictly themed blog will limit you horribly

four, my followers in general don’t give a shit about me, only about the content i post, which fair enough

five, i care about that, even if i don’t care about the follower count as such, i do care that the ones i have actually like me

six, which is completely absurd bc none of them knows me at all, i never show myself

but that was then. this is now. and the last weeks has made me realise the most important thing of all, i dont care any more. why the fuck should i? when my showing any kind of negativity about something that i did care a whole lot about but i no longer have?

endgame might have killed all my enthusiasm for the mcu, and it fucking hurts. it’s been a staple in my life for years, ive invested my time, my creativity, my love and my goddamn money, and ive got jack shit to show for it. i have a blog that i used to love, but is becoming alien to me, and that hurts too. ive invested a lot in this blog too, after i deleted a few of my other blogs a couple of years back, this is by far my biggest one. and im torn tbh. 

do i want to leave it? no, i don’t. can i go back? honestly? i doubt it. if my love for the mcu is gone, well so is bucky. and lets be real, a sebastian stan blog with no bucky? i cannot really see it, can you?

but hey. ill make you a deal, all of you. ill ease up on the memes, i won’t stop bc i have a few scheduled, you guys blacklist or unfollow if you dont want to see them, and ill see about sprinkling in some sebastian content if i can find any i deem worth it. 

also i don’t have any close irl friends to air my frustrations with, everyone here loved this crap, and that’s not really the discourse im looking for. but im happy for you, it sounds nice :)

Hey hey hey, so I've seen your lack of Bokutoo art (or haikyuu art in general) and at first I was going to comment on it, but then I saw your art theft post and I hope that won't have too much influence on your haikyuu art? Of corse I'm gonna let you post whatever you'd like to post, I just miss it a lot y'know :0

Well. Okay, I’ve talked about this a lot but I understand people don’t just read all my answers and it’s totally my fault for procrastinating on that faq page so let me just go through this again in an as clear way as possible?

I haven’t stopped drawing for hq! As a matter of fact in the last week alone I have posted one, two and three things for that fandom for a total of five portraits and a three panels comic

That said I understand with the rhythm I update this blog you might think “well, that isn’t much at all, is it?”, which, again, is my fault because - even though when compared to most art blogs’ update schedules eight drawing in one week is more than enough - I’m the one who set the rhythm here

The “problem” with hq is that all my favorite characters are currently absent from the manga and there’s no anime airing, while at the same time my other main fandom (bnha) has both an interesting arc going on in the manga AND an anime season airing right now - I hope you’ll understand if my interest at the moment is mostly focused there, that’s a continuous stream of inspiration I have coming my way

To add to that some parts of the Haikyuu!! fandom are being unrespectful of what I post (this includes reposting, treating my stuff as if it were templates for their own art instead of ship/character specific content, honestly unrespectful comments and tags under a lot of my main ships posts and so on) which, you’ll excuse me, but dampens the joy I get from posting art a lot

Moreover, the creative side of the hq fandom is being, at least for what concerns the zones I frequent, pretty damn quiet lately, so I can’t say I get much inspiration from there either

I haven’t stopped and I can’t see in my foreseeable future myself stopping posting stuff for haikyuu!!, and all things considered I don’t think I’m posting too little for it either? Art and inspiration aren’t things I want to force, if I started I would stop finding drawing enjoyable really damn fast and I can’t let that happen - please be understanding, I first and foremost draw for myself, I can’t help it if sometimes I get stuck on one fandom or another

I still don’t think Kaminari is the traitor - as a matter of fact, I still don’t think the traitor is any of the kids. If that’s how it’ll turn out to be I’ll be sad about it, for sure, but right now I really, really don’t believe it. It’s true that the Kaminari-is-the-traitor theory is very cleverly worded and super convincing, but a lot of the things in it are really stretched out as far as I’m concerned

ie, taking the weird faces Horikoshi makes him make in the sketches and using them as proof that he’s got a double face? Too far out for me; his original design being that of a villain? Deku’s original design was villain-ish too, no one is calling him a traitor; taking the expression he made when Aizawa told him he could go to the camp and making it sound like he didn’t want to go? Might be believable as long as you don’t take into account the fact that he had just had a conversation with Midoriya in which he told him it was impossible Aizawa would let them go and that Midoriya was just being too optimistic, the “what the actual fuck is this” expression makes a lot more sense in that context; the fact that he makes clever quotes and uses a complex vocabulary used to say that he’s pretending to be stupid is unfair towards the very real possibility of him just not liking studying or thinking things through analytically but otherwise enjoying reading and being fairly intelligent in his own way?? - in the theory it’s also mentioned that it’s weird how during USJ he was worried about an electricity villain overcharging him as if that’s not perfectly normal, having an electricity quirk obviously doesn’t stop him from suffering overcharges, and later during the end of term exam they say it’s “weird” he refused to go all out with his qurik from the start, again, as if that weren’t a perfectly sensible decision in that context (you have to keep in mind that Kaminari is also studying to become an hero, him going “wait a second, maybe keeping on going stupid and putting myself out of commission every time I fight isn’t the right choice” is perfectly in line with him growing up and learning)

Now I don’t have the post open in front of me and it’s been a while since I’ve read it, but most of the theory as far as I get it is based on the idea that Kaminari can’t be lazy and an airhead and might talk without thinking now and again (the Stain comment), but at the same time be clever in his own ways, which just isn’t convincing for me. It’s taking this character’s three dimensionality and making it a plot-hole, why would you want to do that

(on a similar note, the Kirishima-is-the-traitor theory doesn’t convince me for the same kind of reason, it’s all based on the idea that he can’t just genuinely like Bakugou for who he is without having second reasons for it, which is just unfair and cuts too much off the personality of a really good, well written character)

As far as the new villain guy goes, I understand why most of the fandom might be weary and linking him to Kaminari, but we don’t know his color scheme nor his quirk and the pattern on his hair isn’t even a lightning bolt - Horikoshi has had to make up unique designs for a whole damn lot of characters, the fact that one random guy might have something similar to Kaminari isn’t really enough to make him his dad (again, it might turn out to be true, but in my opinion it’s still too early to make theories about it). Also, this guy is from the Eight Precepts. Weren’t you all trying to link Kaminari to the League of Villains? Isn’t the traitor supposedly tied with the League? How many people is this boy working for even

By the way, during the USJ attack the villains had informations they couldn’t have gotten from any of the kids aside from Midoriya (the “they told me All Might was getting weaker” comment) and tbh that’s enough for me to not believe any of the student is behind the informations leak, but all of this is just my opinion

WELP I don’t ship Bakugou with everyone so I can’t say I’m fond of the idea as a whole, and the ships I do ship Bakugou in are with the people that actually do like him for whatever reason (lmao), but I can understand why you’d find it a fresh take on the concept!
