"How could I? I didn't have my phone?" the girl asked slightly panicked,.
"That's because you had mine," Lando spoke up, tapping on his phone, "You logged into your account from mine," he said showing it to the girl.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU STOP ME?" She yelled.
"BECAUSE YOU GUYS KEPT RUNNING ONTO THE FUCKING ROAD AND LOGAN AND ARTHUR COSPLAYED SPIDER-MAN" He yelled back.
"Okay, okay," Max put his hands up to calm the two down, sometimes they were so similar he'd want to ask if Lando had a twin separated at birth, "Lando, what did she post?"
"oh oooh, this going to be fun," the boy said, switching to the girl's profile.

"Well, that wasn't as bad," y/n shrugged.
"That's cause you didn't have your camera roll," Logan snapped back, finally feeling a little more human, the hangover easing down.
"Look who's talking," the Aussie came to y/n's defence, "You're lucky you didn't have YOUR phone," Oscar called out, making the American's face turn red.
"Damnnn Oscar!" The girl praised, colour returning to his face, all were slowly returning to normal, even Arthur had found his way back to the table. Seeing this, the two older men Max and Charles ordered for the table, while Lando, went through more of Y/n's Instagram with the group.
"Honestly, the response isn't that bad, and our PR officers won't murder us, sooo we're good," he said, smiling and logging out of her Instagram account.
"Oh my god," The Monganeseque boy spoke up after being missing for almost half an hour, " I don't think we ate last night," he said shoving the food in his mouth.
The older men expected one of the other three to corroborate the boy's words but they just witnessed four twenty-somethings guzzling down food and large glasses of OJ, lifting plates to slide food into their mouths, letting runny egg yolks and bacon grease getting over their face and hands.
"Fucking hell," Max snarled, "it's like watching animal planet or something,"
"It's disgusting is what it is," Charles agreed, "MERDE ARTHUR, MAMAN RAISED YOU BETTER THAN THIS!" He yelled at his brother who was currently dipping a rolled up pancake in orange juice.
"Oh mate that's fucking disgusting," Y/n scoffed but then followed suit.
"Both of you are insane," Logan cried out, his accent thick, but failed to notice his own disgusting plate, dipping his bacon in maple syrup.
"ugh, there is something mentally deficient with all of you," Oscar frowned.
"Big words for someone mixing coffee into their oj," Lando cringed, taking a photo of the four and their disgusting eating habits.
"I- I can't look at this, I'm leaving," Charles gave up, holding up his hands in surrender, "I have a meeting at Ferrari anyways,"
"Bye, Charles!" the table chorused.
"Oh shit, it's 11am already?" Max called, looking at his watch, "I've got debrief at noon, see you next race, yeah Y/n?" He patted the girl's shoulder as he left.
"Never, again, ever." She yelled out, behind the man, making him laugh.
"Wait really?" The American looked over, bacon in hand.
"Nah, but like I've got uni and stuff and I've been going Arthurs races as well so, I'll probably be back by Britain or Netherlands," she explained.
"Oh yeah I forgot you still go to uni," Lando said.
"Not all of are millionaires cause of our fast vroom vroom cars," she spit back.
"yeah, yeah, " he waved off, "Oscar, Zak's told me to babysit you till our flight tomorrow so you don't do something or someone," he wriggled his brows, smirking at his teammate, making him roll his eyes, "you regret, so let's go and leave that disgusting abomination here," he said pointing to the coffee-orange juice.
"Guy's I don't know about y'all but I'm going go and pass out in the room till next year," The girl said, pushing away from the table.
"Same," The two boys followed.

Every time a post shitting on gay men and calling them "practically straight" crosses my dash, I want you to know that I'm thinking of violently maiming the bitch who put it there. Yeah, you, the pos reading this. You know who you are. We're mutuals for now, but just because I want you to see this before I go.
Would I think that viciously about someone over fictional characters? No. But real people ain't fiction and you Under 20s saying that gay men have "too much leeway/clout" are unironically asking to get your faces caved in by us that have had to live through being literally fucking illegal.
"Gay men have everything they need now it's time to move on" eat shit, actually. Tell that to gay POC. Tell that to gay transgender men. Tell that to gay men forced to live in conservative areas whose communities are shunning them and denying them access to basic shit like their fucking mail or the grocery store. Tell that to the elders who are missing teeth because they FOUGHT for what little they have FOR YOU while you sit there and act like you're better then them because you have a "cooler gender/sexuality than those vanilla gay fags". Yeah, I read your tags.
Y'all can't even let us have a fucking pride flag lmao "it's a blue rip off of the lesbian flag it's so ugly it looks like tooth paste" and the lesbian flag is a fucking rip off of the rainbow flag, what's your point? Sit down and shut up, because when they come for our rights again, we're going to remember shit like this, and the elder lesbians will not be saving you when they hear what you said about the people they helped during the aids crisis.
Do better.

Only Friends Ep 9 Stray Thoughts
Last week, Mew is going through it and is exploring who he might be if he wasn't trying to stay on the straight and narrow. Mew and Ray aren't exactly working, but they decide to host a costume party for Halloween. At the party Ray has Mew try coke, and also breaks up Sand's attempt to kiss another man (which I am salty about). Mew only kisses Ray in front of Top. Boston is still in the outs, but Cheum's brother Atom goes home with Boston. The cops show up and almost arrest Ray, but Top pays them off. Top then takes Mew home and oversteps so many lines it's not even funny.
"The Return" oh whom???
I noticed Top didn't tell Mew they slept together or about the cops. Also noting that Mew rejected his touch.
Ray is still doing this possessive thing with Sand, and Sand just can't sever ties.
Okay, fuck Top. I was trying to be a bit more sympathetic to this man, but unironically recording Ray in a compromising position after everything they've been through is shitty.
Boston doesn't look to be feeling that great about the encounter with Atom.
GLAMPING!! WHERE DID SAND AND NICK RENT THIS TRAILER AND HOW DID THEY GET IT HERE?
"Team Second Option" oh my God. Love this loser camping trip.
"Good can't buy love." Yo is so right.
Top telling Mew to love himself more? Nah, fuck that.
I'm loving the music the last few episodes.
Ray is so consistent. Why can't he have it? He also knows this is still somehow about Top.
See, this why I don't like being location tagged on socials. Ray is about to drive out and ruin the Loser Camping Trip.
These losers are definitely 20. Their favorite Pixar film is Inside Out and not A Bug's Life or Wall-E?
YES! SAND AND NICK SHOULD TRY IT OUT! I loved this. Every queer is not compatible. Two bottoms don't make an outfit, but three is a sisterhood. (This is a joke and not an assessment of Sand and Nick's roles in sex)
This is now the third time Ray has asked for a threesome with Sand.
I'm actually so annoyed with Ray for ruining the Loser Camping Trip and their cuddle.
We were so close to a Mama Sandwich. I haven't seen one since The Fosters.
Of course Top shows up and gets to play boyfriend for the moms.
Nick, you are not helping!! You should have stayed to cockblock.
"He doesn't know we're still sleeping together." And "So we're secret lovers." Everyone in my notes who tried to tell me I was wrong, I would like an apology.
At least Sand finally stood up for himself.
I'm not feeling Top this week at all. Lesbians, please read your son's reactions.
Here we go with the Daddy stuff.
Okay, I'm having fun with Mark and Papang.
Boston just gets no peace this episode.
Aww, Boston was actually touched by Nick's goodbye.
Well well well. Thrusting.
I'm so glad Mew stated for the audience that he was only using Ray to hurt Top.
I like that Mew and Ray found a way back to friendship.
Oooh, Mew asserted that he wasn't possessed. He was just hurt.
Oh, are we not reconciling with Boston?
MOND!!! MIX WASN'T BOEING? I LOVE THIS.
There is so much next week. Mew meeting Boeing. Ray going to rehab. Sand having a regular absent father. Boston spiraling.
I feel so vindicated this week. Sand and Ray were fucking the whole time. Mew was knowingly using Ray. Mew didn't want Top touching him. Nick and Sand tried it out. I won.

I never watched James Somerton's shitty Killing Stalking video because I was trying to be good to myself and avoid something that I knew would make me very angry. In fact, I never watched any of his stuff because the fact that he made a video like that was enough to discount any thing he ever had to say (also I heard about the Celluloid Closet plagiarism).
But man, is the James Somerton discourse bringing a lot of Killing Stalking-related feelings back up for me. Because I'm mad; I'm still so mad. There are a suprising amount of people on social media who are saying they never watched any of his stuff except for the Killing Stalking video. I'm annoyed not just to find out that the vid had that sort of reach and influence, but also because Somerton's unmasking hasn't seemed to make people reasses the validity of the kind of thing he was saying. People are just now being like "hmm I think this guy might have Issues With Women" but that doesn't warrant any reflection on what exactly the motivation is of people who complain about women enjoying a niche webcomic? Because I don't actually believe you're concerned about the influence of some obscure piece of media when you advertise its existence to your large audience many of whom had not heard of it and would never have heard of it but for your transparent outrage porn video. It's rage bait and the target was women that are perceived as straight. A big channel has publicized the fact that they excised a section that endorsed the opinions in this video from their own because they became aware of Somerton's plagiarism and dishonesty (presumably; if it was actually because they recognized his views were coming from a sexist place I would welcome a clarification). And you know, I don't think that's a good look actually. That you needed to be told he was a bad person and couldn't idependently put together that the misogynist man was saying misogynist things.
The comic ended years ago and the fandom has gone mostly quiet, but to this day people are still the peddling the"fujoshi/stupid teenage girls who don't know what's good for them are shipping these characters because they are too braindead to realize it's not a romance; it's a horror, two things I believe are mutually exclusive. I am smarter than all of these cringe degenerates" bullshit. It's in the comments of the hbomberguy video even; one comment was such a gross misrepresentation of the series that my friend needed to talk me down from getting into a pointless youtube comments argument (bless him) because these people are officially making me lose my marbles.
This narrative is full of shit, it's demonstrably not fucking true. You can go on the artist's twitter right now and its full of her retweeting shippy fanart of that pairing readers were apparently never intended to ship.
Tumblr media
(I don't think Koogi knows or cares about James Somerton; she just reblogs the works of fans who tag her. This made me laugh though).
Now this is all speculation because he died decades before social media existed, but I think if Nabokov was alive today his twitter would not be full of Humbert Humbert x Dolores Haze fanart. And yet, I have unironically seen people compare shipping Sangwoo and Bum in Killing Stalking with the misreading of Lolita as a precocious sexual temptress more than once.
And this isn't me saying that Killing Stalking is the disgusting"pro-sexualized abuse" comic that tumblr purity police used to characterize it as either. One of these days I'm going to go truly bonkers and end up banging pots and pans on the street corner, yelling at random innocent passerbys about how stories about romantic and sexual relationships are not required to be Hallmark movies. You can make art about the negative, dark, and troubling parts of these feelings and relationships without creating a pat morality tale. You don't need to approach media analysis like your 7th grade teacher has assigned you an essay on explaining what a novel's "message" is.
Nobody, not the author and not the fans, genuinely thinks that Sangwoo and Bum have a healthy or aspirational relationship. This hypothetical person that does not understand the relationship is toxic doesn't exist. Because girls and women, even the ones having cringey fandom fun on tiktok or whatever, are not so stupid and naive that they are unware that breaking someone's legs and locking them in a muder basement is bad. The type of concern troll rhetoric Somerton employed in his video is directed near exclusively at women interested in men and there's a reason for this. Women are not responsible for abuse that men do to them; nobody is responsible for their partner abusing them. If I never saw people spit this bullshit again it would be too soon.

The Usual | Levi Week Day 1 - Teashop
tagging @leviweek2023 💕
✧ word count ➼ ~1k ✧ notes ➼ post-war canonverse, marleyan reader ✧ comments: listen, i know i'm late for levi week because i'm dumb and didn't realize that day 1 started yesterday kdjfkdsjf hope my submission still counts 🥹
Tumblr media
The first few weeks after the war was hard. While Levi couldn't say that it got easy, it was certainly better than sitting around pretending to live happily in a peaceful world that was the complete opposite of what he had grown accustomed to.
Now that he didn't have to be a soldier, Levi was forced to find other things to take up his time. Naturally, he gravitated towards his love for making tea.
Marley was oddly devoid of quality teashops, so Levi found his own booming in popularity pretty soon after he opened it for business. It was mindless work that helped him relax, even when it was fast-paced due to a lunch hour rush.
Most people ordered the same thing. He still enjoyed it since making tea always helped him calm his mind without fail, but it did get bland having to repeatedly make matcha or chai tea lattes repeatedly for 8-10 hours straight.
Levi's eyes flashed up as he heard the bell attached onto the front door ring. It was only 11am, so it was still a little early for the 1-hour lunch rush.
His eyes immediately came into contact with yours as you gave him a shy smile and a wave. He didn't return the gesture, but his body posture did seem to relax after seeing that it was you.
You were one of his strangest customers.
He was shocked and honestly thought it was a distasteful joke when you had come into the shop one day and ordered one of his more obscure blends with an annoyingly complicated name that you horrifically mispronounced with confidence. You had looked so proud of the way that you said it that Levi didn't have the heart to correct you.
It was a bitter and tangy blend, unlike a lot of the other more standard teas. It was harder to brew and used more sophisticated leaves that Levi was rarely able to find within the Walls. Even in Marley, which had active trading routes, the leaves were hard to get ahold of, so he was more than surprised when you unironically ordered it. Jumping to that blend from your daily order of a chai tea latte was something that he never expected. Now it was all that you ever ordered.
"They give you a day off?"
You weren't usually here around this time otherwise he'd already have your drink ready for you. That was how predictable your schedule was and how often you found yourself in this specific tea shop.
"Lunch break," you responded with a shrug. "Figured I'd visit a certain grumpy barista."
"Baristas specialize in coffee," Levi immediately corrected. "Just Levi's fine."
You shot Levi a small smile. You didn't regret that one day in which you waltzed in and decided to be adventurous and order the one thing on the menu that no one else seemed to ever pay attention to. You didn't miss the way that Levi's eyes flashed up and how he seemed to prioritize your brew. He enjoyed making it.
You weren't a huge fan of the taste, however. It certainly wouldn't be your first choice in terms of teas.
However, after a few regular visits into his teashop, you noticed how his grumpy demeanor would fade whenever you put in an order for that obscure blend that made you tempted to scrunch your nose when you first sipped at it. You picked up that he liked making it significantly more than the other blends, so you just began ordering it. You eventually grew to like it.
"The usual?"
You nodded, looking directly into his normally intense gaze that always seemed to be a bit softer around you. Your eyes lingered on each other for a bit without any words being exchanged.
Levi eventually cleared his throat awkwardly and broke eye contact with you to walk off to make your brew, unsure how to address what was happening.
You followed suit and took a seat at your usual spot on the counter, watching him as he began working on your drink. You noticed his slight limp that resulted from his injured leg that had mostly healed, although it could still get painful to walk on. You also noticed that he was missing nearly half his fingers on his right hand, but still moved more elegantly than you've ever seen anyone move before, even for something as simple as brewing tea.
You knew that he was a veteran in the recent war, but barely knew anything else about him. You made it your personal goal to get to know him better one day.
Your eyes fell on his again as he brought your drink over to you. You saw that his right eye was clouded, indicating that it had been physically damaged and your eyes lingered on his scars. Even from just a glance, you could tell that Levi had more history behind him than all the people you knew combined. He was certainly more interesting than your mundane coworkers that had nothing to complain about other than minor inconveniences in their lives.
The corner of Levi's lips twitched up ever so slightly as he saw the curious look you were giving him. He wasn't the biggest fan of how he felt around you: you made blood rush to his head, and made his heart pound as fast as it did whenever he was actively fighting a Titan. He didn't like it, but he couldn't keep himself from seeing or being by you when he could, even when all he knew was your name and your favorite drink.
You noticed the small smile that he had sent you, but weren't able to say anything before he turned around to begin addressing the other customers that had wandered in as the lunch rush started.
You were so mesmerized and lost in his movements and presence that you didn't even have a chance to notice that he never charged you for your drink.

There are not enough Mpreg Parent Akeshu fics
I must admit, I'm a bit disappointed.
it's not like there's zero. There are some, but not nearly enough or I'm not looking in the right tags.
There's especially HUGE missed potential that not enough people utilize.
I've seen wholesome Akiren as a parent. Seems everyone is in agreement he'd be the chillest, awesomest, father.
But what about Akechi?
Goro "I had a bad childhood, no father figure, Mom passed away when I was young leaving me to grow up in either Foster Homes or the closest living relatives the Social Worker could track down. Who took me in but didn't want me. so I grew up to mask my true nature by being polite on the outside and a celebrity to get some form of positive attention, and I tracked down my deadbeat father who I'm going to ruin the life and career of out of spite and vengeance, for me and my late Mother." Akechi.
The man has childhood baggage, who knows how many young children he's interacted with as an adult. So his experience would range from "limited" to "none existent"
If one of these boys wouldn't take to being a parent well immediately, it would be Akechi. Like, the man is having an external crisis, he's not okay.
"I am the LAST person that should be a father. Do I look like fatherly material to you? I can't even recall the last time I interacted or made eye contact with an infant. Maybe I never did! I can do research and read books, I'm good at researching, I'm going to read the books no matter what but that can only help so much. I know what not to do, from my childhood. I'm going to try my best to do the exact opposite of what Shido did, but no parent is perfect, I could still screw the kid up! Not to mention I'm still processing the fact that MY RIVAL HAS A FUCKING FULLY FUNCTIONING UTERUS.
I knocked up my Rival
I knocked up the man I once shot in the head
I knocked---holy hell what have I done?
I've never been interested in Women, so I never thought I'd have to worry about accidentally planting a little me inside someone. Do you realize how many women I have turned down?
So here I was, thinking I'd be safe. That obviously nothing would come from indulging in a night of passion with my frustrating, Idiotic sexy, alluring, Rival.
But once again, you are just full of surprises apparently in the internal organs sense too because you can carry children and now both of us are unironically FUCKED."
"I'm not going to force this on you, I just thought you deserved to know. If you don't want to we can--"
"Pfft, HAHAHAHA. You say that like it's an actual option. Do I need to remind you what my upbringing was like? I'm not repeating the same mistakes, I'm not leaving. Granted you are obviously in a better financial situation and have a proper support group unlike my Mother. But if I decide to leave now, or stay but run later down the line, what's stopping our child from living in a constant internal state of guilt and loneliness, which will eventually evolve into anger and spite and once they're of age to move out, make it their mission to hunt me down and enter a false work alliance so they can gain my trust enough to eventually betray and torture me. Or just flat out kill me. And You know what? I wouldn't blame them! I'd kill me too if I could. I can't let that happen, I refuse to put a child with my D.N.A. through what I went through. So we are moving in and getting married (oh my god, I have to move in and marry my Rival) Because that's what Japanese family laws all encourage. And I'm going to internally pray and wish that I don't somehow manage to fuck up an innocent being that belongs to us, even though I have no idea what I am doing. Did I mention I have zero experience with babies and children?"
Point is, parentGoro! Has so much potential and it should be a crime that there are so little fics exploring that.

fic writer meme!
thank you claire @microcomets and lore @megafaunatic for the tag!!!
1. How many works do you have on Ao3?
34 posted publicly, and a few more that are now on anon because i have disowned them
2. What's your total Ao3 word count?
427,315
3. What fandoms do you write for?
mostly danmei (currently a lot of liu yao, cancipin, and yuwu), but i'm excited to start branching out to other books if they catch my attention :')
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
in defense of lightning
between two lungs
blooming days
the rivers start to sing
shake the heavy
all are wangxian because i was regrettably a one trick pony for several years LOL
5. Do you respond to comments?
i fell out of answering comments in like 2022 and i've just never gotten back to it! i'm usually not sure what to say except thank you and i also get very self conscious. but i always read every single comment i receive, usually 5+ times because they're such a big confidence boost
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
i honestly don't think i've written anything super angsty! i don't like reading a lot of angst and so i cannot write it. but i guess losing all my senses every night has a vaguely angsty ending since it's a missing scene
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
most have happy endings!!! but i admit that the ending of i kneel into a dream still makes me do kicky feet a little bit
8. Do you get hate on fics?
a few times, but overwhelmingly the comments are so kind :')
9. Do you write smut?
yes! although it took me a while to get comfortable with it and also start to feel semi good at it
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you have written?
nope, and i'm not a big fan of them personally so i probably will never do so!
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
not that i am aware of.......... knock on wood etc
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
back to my door has a russian tl!! that is the only one that i know about but i would be thrilled if that list expanded
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
lots of casual discord brainstorming but never a formal fic!
14. What's your all time favorite ship?
i honestly don't know if i have an all-time favorite! what i crave in a pairing can change from month to month or even day to day. all of the ships i've written for have a special place in my heart and have provided me with comfort at some point. but for the past year i've been very into mingqian and lulin, and for the past month-ish i've been REALLY fixated on lulin (lulin save me... lulin.... save me lulin)
15. What is a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
i started a follow-up/sequel to the soft animal but the inspiration has totally left me and i'm not sure if that wip will ever get resurrected </3
16. What are your writing strengths?
i think i'm really good at imagery and purple prose. which is not everyone's thing but EYE love purple prose, so,
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
action scenes!!!! and frankly smut scenes, which always take me 5x longer to write than dialogue or more plotty scenes. i've said it before but wangxian was my first time writing smut, and as an ace person it's still not something that comes easily to me.
18. Thoughts of writing dialogue in another language in fics?
most of my experience with this is in danmei, but i have always loved seeing chinese or diaspora fans integrate that into their fics! one day i'm going to write my locked tomb/sixth house fic and put latin in there because you know those people are unironically using latin in daily speech. this is my calling
19. First fandom you wrote for?
honestly i think it was inuyasha. never saw the light of day of course
20. Favorite fic you have written?
i've been REALLY pleased with my writing over the past few months, but i'm quite fond of portrait of gravity... mingqian banter is always so fun to write and it was surprisingly personally cathartic to write from the pov of acespec cheng qian. also i can reread it without wanting to singe my eyeballs, which is the norm for me upon rereading my own work
i tag @yuebings @dcyiyou @tantai-jin @perilously @arithmonym @hamburgergod and anyone else who wants to do this!!

Will you ever write another part to fox and hen? I'm dying to know what happens after
Does she let him go? Does he come back? Does Doyoung really hate her as much as he think he does?
I'm hoping you will write one of your miscellanous for this but if you don't I obviously understand. Doyoung's my bias and I've read so many of his fanfiction here. But nothing has hooked me like that one haha
The Fox and the Dog
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This sounds so urgent anon is everything okay?😭
You are probably the only other person who wants this story. But the other is me, so here we are. The way you said "Does Doyoung really hate her as much as he think he does?" is really, truly got me stuck on writing this. I will actually never turn away a Doyoung miscellaneous request and that is a fact and a promise. It's 5am and why am I always here like this? I have work in a few hours. 5am me says this is fine so we let her have it.
This ask refers to this fic.
_
Pairings: Doyoung×Reader ft. Jaehyun
Tags: crime au, assasin×detective, assassin×handler, harmful
Synopsis: When a police officer discovers where a killer lives, running is the only option. When the killer lets the officer go, there are consequences. What happens when he finds her again?
Warnings: Mentions of injuries, stitches, blood, weapons, trigger warning for pain; suggestive sexual content, kissing, nudity, rough handling; everybody is crazy in this one; unironic use of 'who did this to you?'; I have to emphasize that everybody is batshit crazy in this one. Characters in no way represent the people (duh)

She emerged from her shower, skin prickling from the assault of the cold air. Despite growing up in such freezing weather, she could never bring herself to find it anything but distasteful.
One of her scarves lay on the floor as she walked passed her wardrobe. Picking it up, (Y/N) reached into the top dresser drawer where all her silk items were kept. She reached under the layers of clothes to the bottom, the sound of a gun cocking making her stop.
"No wonder it's not where I put it." She scoffed, her hand gripping tight around the next best thing. With her free hand, she threw the first item she could find— her hairbrush. Using the distraction she pulled out a knife, the one she kept just below the gun in the dresser. Before she could turn to face the perpetrator, her body was thrust into the wall, a hand coming to grab the wrist that held the knife.
Her struggles stopped when she met the distinct fox eyes.
"Oh, it's just you." She relaxed in his hold. "I could have killed you Doie. You need to stop coming into a lady's house uninvited. You didn't even let me get dressed." (Y/N) clicked her tongue, a smirk emerging when his a tinge of scarlet bloomed under his eyes.
The towel she had around her waist was now laying on the floor between them, the silk pajama top she wore on top with only two buttons done. The only thing she had on. Doyoung didn’t notice any of it till that moment.
"I'm the one who's going to kill you." He spoke through his teeth, pressing the gun against her jaw. She had to lift her head, looking down to keep her gaze on him as a result.
"I heard they fired you. My condolences." She smiled.
"Because of you." He pressed the barrel harder, the cold metal stinging her skin.
"Don't blame me for your obsessions, Detective. You did this to yourself."
"I was right." The gun eased against her neck, "I knew you left the country, that you came somewhere safe. Close to someone who can protect you." He traced the weapon down her front, the two buttons clicking when it moved against them. She took in a quick breath at the sudden sound— a minuscule action that betrayed her fear. Doyoung seemed to catch on, his eyes dancing with victory.
"You're enjoying this so much." She bit the corner of her lips. "Is that why you're so hard? Sick little freak." She giggled, "Here I thought it was because of how close my bare cunt is to you right now." She tried to raise her hips closer to his, but Doyoung dug the gun into her diaphragm, making her gasp.
"I am not hard." His words whistled from between his tight jaw, face only turning more red.
"No? Why don't you come close and show me?" She raised a leg, wrapping it around his waist.
When she tugged him closer, he resisted with all his force.
Her eyes lit up, "Come here so I can feel how bad you want me, Kim Doyoung." She used the anchor around his waist to bring herself closer to him.
The angle gave her the upper hand. Feeling like he'd lose the hold he had on her, Doyoung had no choice but to come closer. Both of their eyes struggled to stay open when they touched. Doyoung's jaw set tighter than before.
"Is it the thought of taking me or killing me that has you so aroused, Detective?" She whispered, pressing against him harder. "Both, perhaps?"
Doyoung put his hand on the wall beside her, using it to push back while still maintaining his balance.
"Who did you run to, Birdie?" He used her code name. "Who is protecting you?"
She didn't answer, skin breaking into goosebumps as he bought the gun lower. The cold metal slid over her bare skin that was still warm from the shower. Just as her lips parted, he stopped, the barrel resting just above her belly button.
"Who did this to you?" He questioned. Her eyes fluttered open to find his eyes fixed on her torso, forehead gathered. With a huff, she unwrapped her leg, pushing away from him and back into the wall.
Following his gaze, she already knew what he was referring to. Her eyes came on the wound that had only just healed, the puncture of the stitches still visible around the raised skin.
Looking at it brought the memory of the day back. She pulled her gaze away.
"You did." She waited for his gaze to come back up, eyes laced with confusion and rage at the unjustified accusation. He parted his lips to respond, but she continued. "A bottom of the barrel detective figured out where I lived and managed to break in."
"Twice." He interrupted to remind her.
She licked her lips, continuing. "And he managed to escape unharmed as well." His gaze bore into hers, she had to remind herself not to look away. "A mistake like that doesn't go unpunished."
Doyoung faltered at the words, flexing his fingers around the gun to remind himself why he was there. Her chin dropped, and he finally got a good look at her eyes, the edges bloodshot. His gaze dropped to her pale lips just as her equally pale tongue emerged to wet them.
He looked back up when her lips twitched, dragging the gun lower. The top pressed against her injury, the mildest force making her flinch. The area was tender.
"Was it a knife?" He asked.
She scoffed, head tilting to look at the dresser beside them. Doyoung followed her gaze, stopping on the candelabra that sat on the surface. The pricket on top was broader than most, meant to hold thicker candles. Despite looking slender, the edge looked rounded. The width was also much smaller than the long stitch on her stomach. Whoever did this twisted it in, the dull top making it more painful than was necessary. It had to have been intentional. And cruel.
"Who did this?" He asked again, eyes coming back to hers.
"Why did they fire you, Doyoung?" She questioned.
He recalled the day, his mouth tasting bitter. The chief of the federal team walked up to his tiny cubicle, his face red. He asked Doyoung why he was searching for names that had no relation to the murder of the senator they were officially investigating. All Doyoung said was that he was covering his bases. The next day his things were packed in a box and kept on the curb. The name he searched for led him nowhere too, but the chief's actions only made his suspicions turn into an insatiable itch.
"Who is Jae?" Doyoung responded with yet another question. He noticed it clearly then, the colour draining from her otherwise unreadable eyes— fear. It was hard not to notice it. "Was he the one who did this to you?"
"I have never heard that name in my life." Despite the words, she swallowed. "Are you here to play doctor? I thought you wanted to kill me?"
"Is it a name or an alias like yours?" He persisted.
"You need to be quick, Doyoung. I will have to hurt you once I get out of your hold. I don't plan on moving again anytime soon."
"Is he your handler?"
"You don't understand what you're getting yourself into." She snapped. With one swift kick, she kneed his stomach. Doyoung fell back with an audible huff, the impact knocking the gun from his hand. She was on top of him before he could recover, her knife pressed against his neck.
"Think about everything I told you." She pressed the knife further when he tried to move. "You're asking the wrong questions," Doyoung felt his skin break. "Why did I have to move?" She asked him.
Doyoung stared at her with stubborn silence; she pressed her knife further, blood trickling down to the floor. The sharp sting permeated his senses, sending his adrenaline spiking.
"Because I found you then. And I'll find you again." He groaned, "If you kill me, they will know it was you."
"Think, you moron." She leaned over, "Why was I punished?"
"Because you let me go." His words faltered. "That was your mistake."
"I don't make mistakes." She looked him over. He felt blood trickle down his neck, his instincts going into survival mode. It had the unexpected side effect of clearing his mind.
"Do you remember what I told you back then?" Her eyes bore into his, and Doyoung remembered that look well.
"You were afraid." He recalled.
"Tell me, Doyoung. Would I be the one to say I let you go? When I already know the consequences of doing so?" Her eyes drifted down, Doyoung’s following to where he knew her wound sat between them.
She was so close to him that Doyoung could smell the soap she used— lavender and ginger. She stopped digging her knife in, but the wound still bled. He moved himself this time, letting the blade cut through more skin.
“You’re hard again. Is it desire or bloodlust this time?” She said matter of factly, making Doyoung realise that she was sitting on top of his crotch.
“You haven’t asked me to kiss you yet.” He evaded the question.
“I have no intention to. I told you I’d stop asking one day.”
“Lies.” He raised his head higher, fresh blood seeping out. She pulled her hand away with a jerk, a concerned frown darkening her features. Just like he wagered.
Without skipping a beat, Doyoung flipped them over. Despite her agility and fierce training, he could still physically overpower her with ease.
(Y/N)’s head throbbed from being banged twice now. His weight, along with the growing pain in her stomach, kept her immobile. She wondered if the wound would open up again. Her mind was begging her not to fight.
She knew killers better than she knew how to breathe. Despite all of Doyoung's claims, he was no killer. Yet her instincts didn't know anything except fighting back.
When she twisted her waist, the pain in her torso blinded her. She whimpered in pain, tears collecting in the corner of her eyes. But it did what she intended. The move threw Doyoung’s balance off just enough to move him. But he was quick, grabbing her wrists and pinning them down like he had anticipated the manoeuvre.
Before she could think of a way out, he did something she would have never predicted. Doyoung’s lips pressed against her, shocking her motionless. He even dared to let one of her hands go, bringing his down to cup her cheek.
Tilting her head higher, he deepened the kiss. His tongue slid over her bottom lip, prodding at it in silent question. She should have used her free hand to grab the knife that was close enough to graze her knuckles. Instead, her fingers flew to the back of his head, grabbing a fistful of his hair to pull him closer. Her lips parted, and she pushed her tongue against his, keeping the struggle going in one form or another.
He was close enough that she could smell the lingering scent of a cologne on his shirt, peppery and fresh. She wrapped her leg around his waist, and this time he pressed flush against her. His tongue fought for space, a chance to devour her lips. His urgency was as intoxicating as it was worrisome. She distantly wondered just how much he'd wanted to do this. For just how long.
She wanted to tease him, to call him out on it. But more important preoccupations took her time.
His lips left hers to travel down her neck, his kisses fast and coupled with harsh tugs from his teeth. She laughed, the sound breathless and barely audible, moving her head to allow him space. As her ear touched the floor, she heard it. Faint footsteps against the wooden staircase.
She froze, using her fist to pull his head back. He didn't move, his kisses turning rougher. A groan left his busy lips in protest.
"Doyoung." She winced at a particularly hard bite, tugging his hair back with force.
"Sorry." He said once the colour of his eyes changed from lust to realisation. Those same eyes were blown out, lips bubblegum pink. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that."
She didn't have time to take in the guilt that seeped into his features.
"Get off me, someone's coming." She hissed, tugging at the hand that was still in his grip.
He looked partially confused, partially suspicious.
"Someone's walking up the stairs, nobody lives above this floor. Move!" She kicked her legs with more urgency. "You have to trust me. Get off." She added.
To her surprise, he listened. Something she also didn't have the time to dwell on. She dragged him across the room, opening her wardrobe.
With unsteady hands, (Y/N) shoved a bunch of clothes out of the way, the small space stuffed to the brim.
"There's a panel on the wall there," She pointed inside the space to the side, "Get behind it and stay quiet. No matter what, do not move. Do as I say if you want both of us to live." She pushed him in, only having enough time to see him take out the panel she had made herself. Just as he was wedging into the small space, she shoved the clothes back inside.
When she turned to look at her room, her adrenaline spiked higher. The entire place was a mess. Things were pulled off all surfaces, lying shattered all over the floor. She looked around, mind working a mile a minute. A step she had intentionally loosened on the landing right below her door creaked and she knew she had one more flight of stairs.
Diving to the floor, she grabbed the gun and the knife, the latter cutting into her palm. She winced from the pain, wincing harder when she stood up and the pain jolted up from her stomach.
Fuck.
The situation was pushing her tighter into a corner. Shoving the two weapons back into her drawer, she closed it as quietly as she could, the careful action taking time she did not have. In a panic, she made a last-minute decision.
She picked up the lamp Jaehyun gifted her the day she left the academy, the object the closest thing she could lay her hands on. It was a precious gift that she had protected through everything she had been through. It was the thing that symbolised the life that lay on the other side of the hell she had to keep walking through. She stared at the object with regret for what she was about to do.
The main door swung open just as the sound of something heavy shattering echoed in the overcrowded apartment.
Jaehyun came rushing into the bedroom, finding her on the floor with pieces of the lamp in her hand. She looked up, letting fear coat her eyes.
"I didn't," she looked back down, the tears that collected on her bottom lid falling to the floor. "I didn't do it on purpose. I was just so angry." More sobs racked up her throat, and despite her act she couldn't seem to control them. "I was just." She picked up another piece, a shard of one of the cats that was on the lamp. More tears fell.
"Hey." His voice was deceptively soft, "Stop it." He said with a little more bite, "You're hurting yourself." He snapped, kneeling down in front of her. (Y/N) flinched.
He took her hands in his, prying them open to take the blood stained piece out of her hand to drop with the others, stained equally red. "It's fine. Just get up."
"But you got me this when–" She began, her words dissolving into tears.
"I know, it doesn't matter. What's done is done. Get up." He was gentle again, helping her stand up.
He helped her to the bed, sitting her down and kneeling in front of her.
"What's wrong?" He asked, pushing her hair out of her face, "Why are you upset?"
She let more tears fall, "I want to go outside. I missed this city, I want to go to my favourite cafes, boutiques. But your broth–" She bit her tongue so fast that it began bleeding. In her mourning, she forgot about the man hiding in her walls.
"We can go out." He told her, "I'll take you with me. We can go everywhere you want. Anywhere."
"Really?" She asked, mustering the best face of gratitude she could have. Jaehyun smiled, reaching out to cup her cheeks and nodding. His dimples emerged, and she let them rope her in as they had done for decades.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, embracing him. She knew he would like that, but she realised it was a mistake when his belt pressed against the wound. She bit down any sound, but he heard the hitch in her breath anyway.
He pulled back with a frown, inspecting her. He must have realised she was naked from the waist down, but his eyes went to the now red spot on her stomach. His fingers traced the raised skin with a feather-light touch, but she had to bite down on her lower lip anyway.
"It still hurts." He said with sinking realisation. She despised him for the guilt that painted his eyes.
"It's fine. I've had worse." The words were more of a reminder than a reassurance.
"Let me stitch your hand up. The cut is deep." He changed the topic, the offer a veiled apology. She wondered if his hands would shake like they did last time. But she figured it was different when he hadn't been the cause of the injury. "We can go out for dinner after." He looked back at her with a kind voice.
"To the restaurant by the river? Like we used to?" She asked, and he nodded. Despite herself, the joy that came over her face was real.
_
She walked into the apartment and let out a deep sigh. The days had been more exhausting than usual lately, but today she was actually spent. Walking into her now clean room, she unclasped her watch to put it on the dresser.
"I gave you the perfect opportunity to leave. Why are you still here?" She looked up to the corner from where Doyoung emerged through the shadows. "We'll both end up dead."
"You have an infection. Sepsis. If you don't go to the hospital, you'll die before I do." He told her, walking up to stand in front of her.
She hummed, reaching up to take her earrings off.
"I'm serious." She could hear the furrow of his brows in his voice.
"I know. I've had a few injuries in my life to know when it's serious."
"Your wound hasn't healed properly from the inside. How old is the injury?"
"Is this why you stayed?" She questioned while running her fingers through her hair.
His eyes flickered to the movement, "You need to go to a hospital."
"You need to leave before someone finds you, Doyoung."
"Why are you not listening?"
"I heard you. I told you I know."
"Why didn't you tell the man about it? The one who came today?" He came closer, "If he could stitch your hand, I assume he would know what to do about this."
"There's nothing to be done."
"Was he the one who did this to you?" His brows remained furrowed, lips pouting to join his displeasure.
"Careful, Doyoung. You're beginning to care."
"You just need some antibiotics and a way to drain the puss." He sounded furious. Clicking his tongue in irritation, he took a few steps closer. He pressed his hands against his hips, wiping them once and keeping them in place.
"The only way you're dying is in a jail cell or by my hands." His eyes glimmered in the dark, boring into hers, "If you won't go to a doctor, let me do it."
Her lips twisted, amusement written all over. He tightened his jaw.
"I was a medic in the army. I know how to deal with infections." He spat.
Her brows lifted in surprise, eyes caught in rapid blinks.
"What?" His lips twitched, "Didn't expect someone as bottom of the barrel as me to be a doctor?"
"I didn't expect you to be in the army."
"I needed the money for college. And I needed the health insurance for my sister."
She looked at him with a careful gaze, "Leave. You've already dug yourself so far into this. A little further, and you won't have ground to stand back on. Go back to whatever your life was before this."
Doyoung listened to everything she said, then handed her a piece of paper.
"This is all the medicine you'll need. Get it before you get a fever."
She looked at the paper before looking back at him with an unwavering gaze.
"If you don't go, I will." He sounded resolute. She knew his every tell— he was not lying.
She snatched the paper from his hand. "If I pick these up from any pharmacy, the wrong people will find out. They get a hint that I'm dying, and they'll only come to speed up the process.
"Not if you buy an item each from different places." He pursed his lips, her own twitching.
"I'm impressed, Doie. You have the mind of a thief."
"Better than the mind of a killer." He mumbled, sounding more flustered than he did spiteful. She laughed, turning from him and grabbing the coat she had just discarded.
"I'll be back soon, my fox." She waved before blowing a kiss, disappearing into the hall and out the door.

Threatened this once as a throwaway tag, so: let's talk about why "Justice for Adeen Tasithar" as an attempted criticism of Essek is absolutely wild as a choice.
Disclaimer: there are many deeply annoying fans of Essek who do not seem to understand that the narrative and the cast (and by extension, merch/official art/comics) will treat him differently for being an NPC, even if he is a very important NPC and a member of the Mighty Nein, and you are justified in being annoyed. There are also a number of equally annoying Essek haters, most of whom are bitter shippers who have (correctly) realized it's slightly more palatable to others in the fandom to openly hate on Essek than on a PC; or else they are the miserable souls who think that every minute spent on a character other than their personal favorite stolen and wasted time. I am a firm believer in this post; everyone is annoying and complaining on your own blog about it is your absolute right. Also, both in regards to the fans mentioned above and the characters mentioned below, it is possible for people on two opposite sides of a position to both suck.
The first issue is the phrase itself; it co-opts a statement usually used for victims of hate crimes or political prisoners in the real world, and makes it unironically about a pretend guy who had precisely one scene, which is certainly a choice. I'm not actually opposed to using "Justice for" jokingly in fandom, but it is weird to use it relatively seriously in fandom.
The second is that Adeen Tasithar is a member of one of the Dens of the Kryn Dynasty, and is a Taskhand, a term reserved for people with high-level military responsibilities, and is a member of the Bright Queen's Court. During wartime. Coupled with the fact that Essek, who, as described below, is never portrayed as particularly cruel nor petty despite his many flaws, thinks Adeen genuinely does suck, this means that at best, Adeen Tasithar is heavily involved in military operations at a very high level and is in some way personally unpleasant. At, frankly, not even worst, we're talking D&D Donald Rumsfeld. Now, we can debate whether Essek is a war criminal or merely traitorous (not on this post though, because I don't care and it's not relevant), but, while we know very little about Adeen Tasithar, it's not an overreach to say that this man has a pretty strong chance of being guilty of his own war crimes. In general, calling for justice is something I'd hesitate to use in an "the enemy of my enemy" manner, especially if it's well within reason to consider that you're talking about Ludinus Da'leth's Kryn counterpart.
The third is that while you're under no obligation to like Essek, he really is, in general, portrayed as a decent judge of character and a terrible judge of whether selfishly following his own ambition was appropriate and what the consequences might be. He detests the members of the Cerberus Assembly with whom he works; he likes the Mighty Nein despite them ultimately being his potential undoing. He has a few friends in the Dynasty and cares about his (unambiguously good) brother, and feels remorse about his father. Essek has done terrible things in the service of his goals; but directly throwing an innocent under the bus (vs. setting into motion things that will, as a side effect, lead to innocent collateral damage, which he obviously will do) isn't his style. Again, at the very least, Adeen Tasithar is someone whom Essek genuinely believes is a bad person (note that Essek, by this time, also considers himself to be a bad person, and Trent Ikithon to be a "fuck hole", which might help your understanding of scale here). This doesn't mean Tasithar deserves what he got, but frankly, in a campaign about people who got a lot of things they didn't deserve, it's a pretty blatant straw-grasp onto a side character with the briefest of appearances to decide he's your poster boy victim just so that you can go full spiked bat on a character you dislike.
The fourth is that there's never any connection to how Essek not being friends with the Mighty Nein (or entering a relationship with Caleb) would provide justice for Adeen Tasithar, who is in an Empire prison by the end following the exchange during peace talks. It's actually entirely possible that the Empire eventually figures things out re: Adeen, notably because memory modification as a criminal act is going to be really fresh in their minds following the Ikithon trial (and if they interrogate Trent, it's also possible the Empire finds out about Essek). Essek is already a fugitive from the Dynasty and cannot move freely through the Empire as a drow whom assembly members would recognize. The guy didn't get off scot free anyway, so really, he is going to suffer to some extent; you just want him to experience abject and total misery, rather than constant fear tempered with a small degree of happiness, like some kind of sicko, or megachurch member.
The final one is that "justice for Yeza Brenatto" or "I don't like that Essek worked with the Assembly even if he wasn't happy about it" would actually be far more reasonable statements to make. Yeza was, in fact, a simple alchemist who was forced to become a pawn in the game being played by, among other people, Essek, and suffered immensely for it. The Assembly does in fact suck. And yet, rather than admit Caleb also considered working with the Assembly for selfish reasons, or that Veth, you know, exists people jump to woobify some random NPC about whom we know basically nothing other than "Military guy, well-connected politically."
So anyway: feel however you want about Essek; but if you're on Adeen Tasithar's bandwagon, I don't think you actually are terribly bothered by hypothetical fictional war crimes. I think you just are too spineless and online to say "I dislike Essek" and needed to construct an elaborate poor reason why.

Honestly even before someoscguy I had beef with the II neg tag, Now was it eye opening?
Yes
Do I feel like way to much of it has turned into making the same 10 points, and like also hyping up the worst takes I've seen in my life(Because it agrees with their stance, whilst the tag  has the most "We're ACTUALLY consuming things critically" shitty elitist aura to it whilst completely failing to that themselves)
And also just ignoring any counter arguments.
Also really demozning the people who work on the show to a kind of stupid amount, like I don't think II's writers want to steal money from young gay children, I just think they're all extremely misguided(Which Yes doesn't excuse their actions).
Now I'm all in for critizng the writers for their writing, I personally can't stand some of their choices! Crap I think some of their actions are just shitty overall (non writing wise)
But
from what I've heard their unironically respectfull to their actual trans workers. (COMING FROM SAID TRANS WORKERS THEMSELVES)
I feel way to many people who actively use the neg tag need to rethink how they critize II, cuz I feel way to many people have gotten into some anime ass narrative (of we good II bad). This isn't star wars, some of the people I see on there as near levels of someoscguy (it's just they ACTUAL have human decenty)
Were not gonna make a new world in the osc if we "destroy" Adam Katz were II is not the root cause of most object shows writing issues
Now before anyone calls me a AE ass kisser
Dose that mean I agree with AE and think people should consume II uncritically?
FUCK NO!
As I said before I AGREE WITH SO MANY TAKES on there, I myself have made a lot of takes on there and I'm planning to make even more! I prefer so many other objects shows over II.
I have litterally LOST INTERSET in III due to the writing
And personally I'm sick of people putting II on some high ground and acting like bfdi is the "dumber and less emotinal" popular show BECAUSE bfdi also has character's with depth and characters who are interseting(But that could be it's own rant)
I was once one of those people too!
Honeslty the most ironic part is, if I were to say something neg about the neg tag myself publicy, I think people would try to put me as some "AE ass kisser", but mabye it's just my emotions about the tag making me say that.
TLDR: Your doctor suggests to not overdose the ii neg tag, because it like everything else on the internet, is a echochamber

also winn i'm DYING over the lack of mary content give me crumbssss இ௰இ
Uuuuuhhhhhh okay Mary crumbs.
There is this tag to look through too if you haven't already.
Okay now to think of things on the fly woo!
Mary is learning to diversify her cooking, mostly thanks to Camilla. She grew up with a lack of spices, seasonings and flavors in her life. UwU
She does like learning about other spiritual and religious practices. It helps open her mind to others but also gives her another perspective on her own faith.
To kind of go off the last point or two, she has definitely taken an appreciation for Indian food and culture. It's very different from anything and everything she grew up with (lots of flavors, multiple gods as opposed to one and so on). She would love to learn more.
Pets weren't really a thing in the home when she was growing up. Now she is out on her own (with Camilla) she wants to give it a try. Something small she thinks first like fish or a hamster, then maybe go up to a dog or a cat.
Doesn't do well with horror. Even the cheesy b-movies make her squirm. Scooby-Doo and Zombie Island is very scary for her.
Camilla read her some Chuck Tingle as a joke but now Mary unironically enjoys his works. She avoids his horror stuff though.
Despite the aforementioned aversion to horror, Mary (and Camilla) definitely have a crush on Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village
Mary hopes to travel someday, especially to Europe. Her bucket list destinations are Paris and places in Italy, mostly Milan, Rome and Florence.
Mary still uses a flip phone.
She would like to commission art one day of Jesus. A lot of the artworks she sees make her uncomfortable for a variety of reasons.

Can't believe I'm discourse posting again but whatever.
While I may not have 100% been on board with the uh. Rusame edging response post because I have extremely "problematic" ships myself and have described Mongolia and China's relationship as being "married/divorced" so I'm not really any better than the edging shit in that sense, I think a lot of the replies were made in extremely bad faith and some pretty nasty people took advantage of the situation in their own ways.
The person who was vagued about had the right to respond of course and yeah it can be classified as ship hate considering it was put in the tags however people are seriously running over the fact that the poster themselves are Uzbek-Korean so yeah they'd understandably have some complex feelings about Russia and America if you know even the general history. The post perhaps wasn't worded that well and was an attack on rusame simply because of a comedic analogy of the relationship made by a shipper, but that anger didn't just come from like. Absolutely nowhere.
You had people in the comments slinging fucking 4chan lingo at OP (same person who did this supports a well known Zionist in the fandom why am I not surprised) and then much bigger content creators making posts and comments about how OP and their entire friendgroup are nothing more than butthurt sjws who are pushing people out of the fandom (and I can't believe people are still unironically using "sjw" in 2024 I guess anything is possible).
Extremely bad faith actors coming out of the woodworks who have had problems with OP and their friendgroup for completely different reasons using OPs hate post about rusame and the subsequent dogpiling as an excuse to publicly lie about the nature of the friendship and how it broke down. I find it extremely cowardly that months ago, when confronted privately about bad behaviour such as gossiping behind people's backs and confronted with the fact the person she was gossipping with is a prolific emotional abuser and racist, Verta blocked everyone and said she didn't want to get involved in "drama".
Now that someone within the group - a minor no less, who barely engaged with Verta herself during the course of her contact with them group, is being publicly dogpiled by multiple big creators - NOW Verta has the courage to come rear her head, engage in drama be like "they're all a bunch of sjws who hate white people!".
If you want to go back to 2016 for fresh "SJWS/feminists OWNED!" compilations, be my guest.
I find it extremely ironic how Verta is calling OP "fandom police" when Verta herself tried to gatekeep someone's identity/relationship to China....over hetalia art. I guess it's not policing when you want to be a bigot, but it's policing when someone from a certain background has unpleasant feelings towards a ship.
A lot of the vague posting about "WOW I LOVE RUSAME SO MUCH" afterwards I think was also extremely childish considering *gestures to the fact that OP is Uzbek-Korean* so yeah. They made an angry post about rusame that should have been handled privately between them and the person they were vaguing about however they do have some extremely personal reasons as to why they may have strong feelings about it.
It wasn't just an ordinary "rusame sucks and rusame shippers should die lol!" post made by an angry rando who likes perhaps Russia x [different country] and is butthurt at the attention rusame is getting but the way people are responding with "rusame is the beat ship evaa <33" posts in response to it - you'd think that was what OP posted instead of like. An emotionally charged (but poorly handled) post about Russian and American imperialism as someone who's family/countries has been affected by both.
Again I'm not in a place to judge rusame shippers considering the shit I ship and say - you can do what you want and I actually like cold war stuff myself. I just find a few of the responses extremely childish considering the circumstances surrounding why the post was made and a few were absolutely done in bad faith in order to paint OP as being nothing more than an angry sJw!!1 when. Again. *Gestures at Uzbekistan's history with Russia and Korea's history with America*
Also. I'm sorry but rusame is the most popular ship in the fandom right now. You guys will live if (1) child who comes from that background makes an emotionally charged post about it. There's no need for an onslaught of personal attacks and hateful anons. Jesus Christ I received death threats for shipping Monchu and I didn't even respond like that.

writer tag game!
hiiii thank you @avi-why for tagging me this game seems so fun :D
1. is there a common piece of writing advice that you disagree with? alternatively, is there one you think (generally) most people should follow?
oooooh okay! generally i dislike any hard absolutes like "don't use adverbs ever" because i mean. no piece of advice like that will ever be universal and it's important to consider what Your Piece of writing needs rather than trying to fit a set of ~arbitrary guidelines~
as for advice i think works, i think consistency in writing will always be key to improvement. i like. very heavily stagnated in actual writing after covid (i was like. good lord i was 15 then. wild) because i got bogged down trying to make my book Perfect. and i think if i had actually written more during that time i would be a much better writer now! more writing = more improvement and practice makes pretty damn close to perfect etc etc
2. you can have dinner with any author, living or dead. but the catch is that after the dinner, you and that author will team up against a third writer in a no holds barred cage match throwdown. which 2 authors do you pick?
OOOOH ok. i'm currently very enamored with andrew joseph white and lee mandelo's writing because they both write GORGEOUS prose so maybe one of them? OOO or r.f. kuang . i think tolstoy should get got in the cage match. cry old man
3. have you ever experimented with poetry, plays, or screenwriting? what was the result?
YES i have and now i have a web series. help girl this was not supposed to be longer than a short fiction piece and yet. also shameless self plug you can read my web series about a dead girl haunting her own narrative HERE: https://gloryburning.substack.com/
i do want to experiment more with poetry though!!! that's one medium i haven't really dipped my toes into so to speak
4. what type of rancid twitter discourse would your current wip generate?
oh god what discourse WOULDN'T rr spark. i definitely think having an aroace mc weaponize someone else's attraction to him is probably um. discourse worthy. my top fear is that someone unironically ships lahar (romance and sex repulsed aroace) with anthony (horrible white savior who has no semblance of self) some other notable things that happen in the book:
diversity loss the capitalist kendall roy ass character (anthony) is gay
people of color get to KILL
ruh roh! tragedy :(
horrible horrible body augmentations with dangerous and ableist implications
so much murder. so much assassination. god bless
5. what author would you love to be compared to? what author would you hate to be compared to?
OOOOOOH . uhhhh i love so many authors oh god. i do love neil gaiman i would be so floored if someone compared me to that guy. OH and terry pratchett . probably would not want to be compared to like. jkr. booooo
6. design the ideal piece of merch/swag for your wip.
oh this one is so me bait. i have serious merch and then deeply unserious merch
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
7. free space: what's one thing you really want to talk about in your writing that no one ever asks about?
I LOVE soulmate horror and just. idk taking different concepts and hitting them with my aroace beam. i love aroace horror i love aroace people. and i think there should be more weird aspec fiction
and question time. putting them below the cut along with tags
what's the first story you can remember writing? how does it compare to the way your writing has evolved? where do you see your writing going in the future?
what parts of yourself (if any) have gone into your current wip? alternatively, how would you fare if you were suddenly dropped into your own wip?
what's one quality of your writing that feels completely unique? what's one thing you want to improve upon in the future?
make or share a meme that you feel captures the essence of your wip.
what are your goals as a writer? do you want to publish? is your writing for your eyes only?
which of your characters is your favorite to write and why?
free space: feel free to be self indulgent--do you have any aus or your wips? if so, what, and if not, what aus/fanfic would you write of your work?
