isnt it crazy that someone can make a completely legal app for ios but if apple doesn't want it in its app store because of lol lmao reasons you have to then go through a gazillion loops just to get this one app and also millions of people buy apple's products because they don't see the problem with an operating system that fully controls what you can or can't have on your device and also has several other major problems. insane
#m#like ive been taking my 3ds to english classes because the kids find it more fun than regular ol' excerises#and also watching movies gets stale pretty fast#but out of the 9 games i own only three let me change the language to english#because pokemon and apparently professor layton too thought it was a very smart idea to have region-locked games 🤪#but getting a ds emulator on ios is soooooooo goddamn dififcult. cant just download a zip file you have to hack your iPad or smth#cant download music either you have to download itunes and put your music files on iTunes and then sync your iPad to itunes#but also it makes a backup copy everytime even though i don't want one and there's no way to turn that off#and also cant transfer files to your ipad you have to do it through a third party app and they all have really small storage limits#and another gazillion issues that windows or even android don't have 🧨💣🧨🧨💣🧨💣🧨💣🧨💣🧨💣#hate this thang. i cant believe people told me it was worth spending 600€ on this than buying another cheap ass drawing tablet

my phones been acting mega strange recently and if this shit dies it might actually be the last straw LMFAO
#it is like 6 years old and i use it constantly but it is in perfectly fine condition hardware wise#i barely have shit on here my storage is fine it’s updated (for now i believe this ios is the last one that itll support which is contrived#bullshit but whatever) the hardware is FINE there’s hardly a scratch.#but it has been extremely slow and incredibly glitchy im like terrified it’s just going to turn off one day and never turn back on#as it is there’s been times where i’ve put it to sleep and it just. doesn’t wake up when i press the button.#horrifying and i have it all backed up i just don’t have the money for another monthly bill#it’s pissing me off the battery isnt even an issue.#holding a gun to this stupid iphone 11 YOU BETTER WORK

instagram just reminded me of this but this is the cellphone i used to play high school story in back in 2015 that i completely destroyed the screenshot button (LG had one) then later i destroyed BOTH volume buttons. then the phone just fucking died while i was replaying hollywood u.

procreate on my new ipad is so pixelated it's so annoying

Quick update on yesterday's project. We are still hashing files. The process has had to be resumed twice (luckily my ajax-loop-interface class is designed to be resumable by default), the most recent culprit was a 30s timeout caused by an official Wizards of the Coast PDF taking too long to hash.
Not sure if that's an IO reading limitation from the PI, or a CPU limitation of the ARM instruction set when running sha256 calculations, but interesting none-the-less.
#there were 27151 items to hash across three USB storage devices#so I expected this to take a bit#very excited to get this all moved over to an x86 processor and IO over SATA
