Can I please talk about my weird little Warg from Lonely Light? My salt crusted Ironborn bastard whose definitely a Targaryen. Gwyndon "Gwyn" Pyke, my selkie boy.
We've started playing a little ASOIAF tabletop game set during the Blackfyre Rebellions (around 90 years before Game of Thrones). Our travelling party consists of two Targaryen bastards from the opposite side of Westeros and the Hedge Knight holding them for ransom (or so we thought).

This is a very random thing, but years ago I played a game where all the fae had Scottish accents, and I’ve never been able to imagine fae without Scottish accents since.
Therefore, I think that every fae in TWST has a Scottish accent. More specifically I’m convinced that Sebek has a Doric accent, and also that Silver actually has a Cockney accent.
I’ve been needing to share this with you for a while now, and I’m curious on your thoughts here.
ooh, that's a fun idea! I do see some Scottish inspiration in some of the little aspects we get to see of the fae culture (like the Day/Night courts, although they aren't quite as. extreme. as the Seelie/Unseelie :'). so it tracks!
I do like the idea of everyone having different accents in general! not in, like, a cartoonish or stereotypical way, but like...they're from all over the world, so I think it makes sense that that they wouldn't all speak with the equivalent of, like, a transatlantic accent. (...although that would actually be amazing in its own way, hold on --)
(there is something uniquely wonderful about the idea of Silver with a Cockney accent, thank you for bringing this into the world. his whole weird mix of formalities becomes that much better if you imagine he's never said an h in his life.)

a criminally underused element of their dynamic is damen relentlessly bullying laurent about his veretian accent speaking akielon. literally when damen was like 'nice accent' i was like my good man you confidently making fun of the cast iron bitch snake prince laurent's accent should not be as attractive as it is

It should be illegal for youtube shorts to randomly show me interview clips of Kit Harington, because I get jumpscared everytime remembering he's putting on an accent for Jon Snow and doesn't really sound like that.

A Game of Thrones, Arya II
Three days later, at midday, her father’s steward Vayon Poole sent Arya to the Small Hall. The trestle tables had been dismantled and the benches shoved against the walls.
The hall seemed empty, until an unfamiliar voice said, “You are late, boy.”
A slight man with a bald head and a great beak of a nose stepped out of the shadows, holding a pair of slender wooden swords.
“Tomorrow you will be here at midday,” He had an accent, the lilt of the Free Cities, Braavos perhaps, or Myr.
“Who are you?” Arya asked.
“I am your dancing master.”
He tossed her one of the wooden blades. She grabbed for it, missed, and heard it clatter to the floor. “Tomorrow you will catch it. Now pick it up.”
