Hello! I don´t know if you still sharing your opinions about ships? But if you are, i would love to hear your thoughts on Ludo Bagman/Augustus Rookwood, Amelia Bones/Emmeline Vance, Igor Karkaroff/Augustus Rookwood, and Rodolphus /Bellatrix/Voldemort.

i fully back this.

i'm on the record that i think bagman was a genuine death eater sympathiser, but that he was not a marked member of voldemort's inner circle - rather, that he was a low-level informant rookwood convinced to nab state secrets from filing cabinets by promising to give him "a job" afterwards.

in canon, the people who hear bagman explain this at his trial all assume he means "job" in the gainful employment sense.

skill issue. those of us who have reached a higher level of understanding know that he meant "job" in the... other sense.

amelia bones/emmeline vance

yes, absolutely - but only if they're both older women, since i've never vibed with the idea of everyone who was involved with the order/the ministry during the first war being the same age as the marauders.

instead, i am hooked on the exquisitely tragic potential of the two having come together during the first war as women who were already middle-aged - seeking comfort from both the unrelenting horror of what they were living through and from having to present bulletproof, hard-nosed masks to the world in order to survive in what is very clearly a man's world - and then thinking, after 1981, that it might be possible for them to be happy now that voldemort was guaranteed to not be coming back...

which is then derailed by amelia taking the ministry line during the order of the phoenix timeline, and not being able to face the idea that the dark lord might have returned. leading to a messy break-up when emmeline rejoins the reformed order.

and then the potential of reconciliation, after fudge is forced to acknowledge that dumbledore was telling the truth and amelia reaches out to her love to eat humble pie.

they were planning to meet up for lunch - and each was secretly hoping it would turn into more than that - later that week.

nobody told lord voldemort that him deciding to have them both murdered would rather interfere with those plans...

the list of death eaters which karkaroff gives in his attempt to be released from azkaban is sufficiently disorganised [he doesn't seem to target specific lines of voldemort's operation, for example - rookwood is the only ministry-based informant he names] that he's evidently just airing personal grievances for fun and profit.

rookwood gets dragged into it, then, because he persuaded karkaroff to break up with his boyfriend of six years, nailed him once, and then ghosted him.

bellatrix lestrange/rodolphus lestrange/lord voldemort

I should've started putting OCs in my fics way earlier I am having SO much fun figuring out Elaheh Shafiq (from my Dorcas/Narcissa fic Excellence).

She's the sweetest girl, very very cunning and sneaky but so empathetic it hurts (like, literally, she's definitely the type to start crying when her friends cry for no reason).

Bisexual icon who crushes so hard and has no shame about it. (She starts out being head over heels for Rodolphus Lestrange, and everyone knows it because she can't shut up about him and doesn't feel the need to.)

Her mum sends her baked treats by owl post and she shares it with everyone.

She and Emmeline Vance are best friends. It works because Emmeline is quiet and shy and doesn't like to talk and Elaheh easily talks enough for four people so no one even notices that Emmeline is quiet.

She purposefully picks head scarfs with fringes on them so she can fidget with them and she is constantly doing this.

She and Dorcas are good friends and as soon as Narcissa joins their dorm, she decides they're friends too. She makes them all hang out even when Dorcas and Cissa still don't get along. She doesn't care, she gets along with them.

Honestly Elaheh is just a much needed breath of genuine happiness in a dorm otherwise filled with stressed out bitches lmao and I love her dearly for that.

Happy Holidays, students! We here at ABHQ wanted to say a huge thank you to all of our members. You’ve all participated so well in recent events, and have made our rp holidays so special! We love you all dearly, and we wanted to give your characters a little holiday gift of their own just to say thank you for being wonderful.....

It will never be discovered just who was behind it, but each and every student awoke this morning to find a present sitting on their doorstep, or to find an owl interrupting their breakfast, nearly dropping a parcel in their cereal bowls. A small note seems to be attached to every single gift, neatly detailing what they all were in need of, or what their heart desired, whether they knew it or not. Better not tell the professors if you received something scandalous, students!

Only four and she knew she was the apple of her parents eyes. They might seek money and power, but it was only to give their little girl the life they never had. Their only child, or so it would seem, was going to have the whole world if they had anything to do about it. Showered with the belief that determination and smart work could get a person anywhere, Emmeline quickly became the embodiment of what her parents laid out for her. Even as a child, she understood that the world was hers for the taking and that anyone who got in her way could be damned. 

Getting her letter to Hogwarts was no surprise, and eleven year old Emmeline walked through the castle with her head held high and her eyes set on making a name for herself. Getting sorted into Ravenclaw was unsurprising; she had always been clever, driven, and intelligent. However, the separation of houses never stopped her from making connections. Emmeline was hard pressed to use the word friends. There were few people she genuinely cared about. Dorcas Meadowes was the only person in the world Emmeline cared about as much as she did herself. Everyone else in her life could be used to gain something. Whether it was stronger connections, money, or power, Emmeline learned that it was truly who a person knew and not what they knew. 

The thing with illusions, however, is they always shatter eventually. While Emmeline had always known that her parents had mutual affairs, she assumed they abided by the others rules regarding them. However, at sixteen she learned from an unfortunate eavesdropping session that her father had broken rule number one. How her mother came to find out, Emmeline wasn’t sure, but knowing that one of her father’s affairs had created the youngest Rosier child was a hard pill to swallow. Every ounce of respect and power Emmeline had was because she fought for it tooth and nail. The idea that her father had created another child, who had everything because of the last name she falsely wore was infuriating. Her original plan had been to out the younger girl’s parentage and take all the unearned, unfought for power away from her. However, it was during that year she was given a glimpse into the life her bastard sister actually lived. Blood had always meant everything to Emmeline, and while Theadora might not know her true family, Emmeline did. Emmeline thought she never wanted a younger sister, but the more she got to know the other girl, the more she considered changing her stance. Emmeline might be cold, but she wasn’t heartless. 

By twenty three the world was hers for the taking. A career in politics was well suited for her, and Emmeline found herself rising up day by day. It hadn’t taken long for Bellatrix Black to approach her with an offer that she couldn’t refuse. Emmeline had made friends on both sides of the war, something that most people didn’t have the diplomacy to manage. Bellatrix asked her to be their spy, with an offer she couldn’t refuse. Joining the Order had been easier than she’d expected. While she didn’t outwardly disagree with them, she knew there was no power to be had within their organization, nor with the future they were fighting so desperately for. Bellatrix had offered her everything she’d ever wanted on a silver platter, and Emmeline had taken it. When Rodolphus won, she was given the Head of International Affairs position as promised. However, seeing the damage that Rodolphus has caused, especially in regards to her sister, is making her second guess her decision.

PENELOPE ROSIER - When Emmeline first found out she had a bastard sister, her immediate instinct was to find a way to destroy her, especially when she realized it was the Rosier family’s golden girl. However, all it had taken was meeting her, truly seeing her, to care for her. Emmeline had never really wanted a sibling, let alone a sister, and yet, she couldn’t help but want to protect Penelope. Despite her need for power, blood was important to her, and Penelope was hers. Besides, realizing just how high up her sister was in the hierarchy, she knew they could do remarkable things together.

DORCAS MEADOWES - Her friendship with Dorcas was unexpected to say the least, but it was important nonetheless. She could be her most honest self around the other girl and know that she would receive no judgement in return. They understood each other better than anyone else, and they could always count on the other to be there for them no matter the circumstances. Emmeline hadn’t ever known friendship until she’d met Dorcas. 

RABASTAN LESTRANGE - Rabastan was absolutely one of the best people in the department she was now in charge of. He was one of the few people she could rely on to get his work done effectively and quickly. More importantly, he was like family to her younger sister, and Emmeline wanted to know more about him. 

LUCIUS MALFOY - While she knew full well that Lucius was a snake, they had common interests, and that worked in her favor. He was good at getting what he wanted though, and Emmeline knew she could use him to her advantage. Emmeline knew how to play nice to get what she wanted.

DORCAS: Undeniably her best friend, Dorcas as always been a little more wild and a little more reckless than she. Emmeline was always one for a power grab, but with Dorcas, all she wanted was the love her friend freely gave her. 

BELLATRIX: The woman was a powerhouse in her own right and Emmeline was both envious and admiring of her. Emmeline wanted the power and following that the other woman had, but she had to respect her for how much she had built for herself. Emmeline has worked hard to earn a place in her good graces, and she wants to continue on that trend to gain the power and recognition she craves. 

JOSIE: A fellow spy, Emmeline appreciates the other girls subtly. There are few people Emmeline considers to be her equal, but Josie is definitely on the list. She doesn’t quite trust the other woman, knowing fully well that she’s in for the power grab as much as she is, but she respects and is cordial with her all the same. 

HELENA: Emmeline knows she was never meant to find out about her half sister. Admittedly, her first thought had been to use that information to send the Rosier family into ruin and take their place in the ranks for herself. However, Helena was on the same side as her, and if she saw a bit of herself in the girl, well who could blame her. Not to mention, there was power that came with being Undersecretary, and if revealing the truth about Helena’s heritage to her allowed her to bond with her, well that was just an added bonus. Besides, blood was everything to their society, and Helena was hers.

Remus Lupin knows Sirius Black inside out like the back of his hand.
