To be entirely honest I'm not sure, I think the term is pretty subjective. I generally try to avoid putting too many labels on them, they start to feel so oppressive so fast.

thanks! this is a very broad question that I can't even answer because I do not study with the intention of studying, if that makes sense. So the only advice I'll give is that you need to know that you'll never be free of or good enough to draw perfect anatomy without references. Obviously practice is needed but it's not just practicing how to draw - what often makes or breaks it is also the ability to not only draw from references and find or make them yourself but ALSO the ability to translate references - Look at them and be able to understand what ur seeing enough to stylize it and make it more dynamic. Look at it and know which parts need to just be copied and which need to be changed

these are (iirc) kinda pre-corsets corests? they were used for the same things; supporting breasts, heloing posture, back support etc and may be laced either at the front or the back but often connect over the shoulders... like a vest... like Joel skin... yeah thats all my reasoning basically... also im a nerd
