Prompt: The way you say I love you “muffled, through the other side of the door”

Description: You weren’t too keen on joining Claude for training today, that is until he suggested to spice it up by playing a simple game of tag instead. As expected, the two of you take it far too seriously and end up having much more fun than you would have ever guessed.

“Catch me if you can!” You called out to behind you, giggling all the while. Claude was laughing too, running after you as you ran through the monastery. “Or are you just too slow?” You teased, running across the bridge to the ruined chapel.

“Don’t be so cocky! Don’t you know you’re running from a master tactician?” He called right back, hardly two meters behind you. You picked up the pace, sure you could lose him in the church and then run back across the bridge without him noticing.

“There’s not much to think about! We’re just playing tag!” You laughed, watching as the guards hurriedly opened the door for the two of you running into the chapel. You burst in, turning right sharply so you would be going down the stairs to one of the lower areas. You barely slowed down, heart pumping too fast to care if you tripped on your way down the steps. Claude was right behind you but the steps surprised him and he had to take a moment to catch himself, giving you enough time to rush down the stairs yourself. By the time you reached the bottom Claude was half way down. You were too caught up in going up the next set, that you didn’t see his eyes light up. He would cut you off in the church its self– there were only two ways you could leave, after all, through the main entrance or the one leading to the goddess tower. Either way, he had your cornered.

“That mistake will cost you, _____! I’ll catch you before you know it!” You heard Claude’s distant voice call to you. Looking briefly over your shoulder, you saw his climbing the stars you just decended. You didn’t have time to worry about his plan as you took the next set of stairs two at a time. You had to stay ahead of him!

You rushed past people and animals at a break neck speed, trying to regulate your breathing and ignore the stain in your leg and guts. Claude was right when he said this would be a much more fun way to get your training in, that was for sure but now you didn’t want to lose to him. As you entered the church you saw Claude come in through the main entrance. Pushing yourself even more, you ran to the left exit, seeing the Goddess tower and getting a fantastic idea. Claude couldn’t tag you if he couldn’t touch you!

“Just try and get me!” You laughed with renewed vigor. Claude didn’t know where you got all this energy, he was just as ready to call it quits. Reaching the exit himself Claude could only wonder why you choose to go to the Goddess tower and trap yourself. With no time to question it, he simply followed you through the open front door, hearing your footsteps echo loudly as you climbed the tower. Claude could hear your heavy breathing, just over his own, and figured he had you at this point.

“Too bad for you–!” Claude blinked as he watched you push open and close the large door shut right before him. He tried to push it open, hearing your breathing just on the other side. He gave a push, only to meet with resistance; you were on the other side, using the last of your strength to make sure he didn’t get the door open!

“Guess… guess I win this one.” You laughed through the door, slowly regaining your breath. You could still hear your heart beating wildly in your ears, feel the heavy thumping of your chest as you panted.

“I… gotta admit.” Claude let out a chuckle. “You seem to have got me this time, _____.” His voice was muffled though the heavy wood of the door. It was quiet a moment, then, the both of you waiting for the other to move, to speak. “But… you’ll have to leave, eventually. And as of now, I have a lot of free time of my hand.” He laughed, sliding down to sit with his back against the door, just as you were on the other side.

“You gotta be kidding me.” You huffed. “Can’t you just admit I’ve beat you? Just this once?” You pleaded.

“Mm…” Claude pretended to think on it. “No, I don’t think so.”

“Surely our army needs its leader, no?” You countered.

“The professor has things handled! I’m training, after all.” He laughed.

“I could leave out one of the windows…” You hummed.

“I’ll be waiting below to catch you in my waiting arms.” He said. “To make sure you don’t get hurt. And then maybe win.”

“What can I do to make you leave me?” You sighed.

“Oh? Are you bribing with me?” Claude’s voice came in such a way that you knew this was a bad idea. Your pride left you with little other choice, though.

“What do you want, Claude?” You sighed. Your gut was twisting in a way that wasn’t entirely uncomfortable but still had your heart beating as fast as it was during your little chase.

“Do you remember 5 years ago? When we were here alone like this?” He said softly. You hardly caught the words.

“How could I forget? It was on the night of the heron ball…” You remembered it fondly but stayed alert; he was probably just trying to lower your guard after all.

“You promised to stay by my side… until I could see my dream fulfilled.” He sighed wistfully.

“I’m still here,” You said, heart jumping into your throat. It was getting harder to speak.

“And I appreciate that, friend. I don’t know what I would do without you…” He took a deep breath, one you could hear clearly from your side of the door. “Since we found our way here again, would you mind if I made one more selfish request of you?” His voice had gone so soft. You were leaning closer to the door, straining to hear his every word.

“I-I don’t mind.” Your words stumbled out of your mouth. Even without seeing Claude, his words had your blushing. You were glad for this door between you, lest he see your fluster.

“Would you mind staying with me, even after this war is over?” There was more he wanted to say but the words caught in his throat. Claude found it hard to speak with the silence that followed.

“Claude…” Your voice saying his name so sweetly had him taking deep breaths, reminding himself to say composed. “What are you trying to say?” You swallowed thickly at the lump forming in your throat, both thrilled and scared about where this conversation was heading.

“I… I guess I’m saying I love you.” Even if the door hadn’t been between the two of you, Claude’s words would still have been mumbled. His heart was pounding faster than it ever had been minutes before when he was chasing you, the thought of rejection playing on his mind.

“…You’re not playing with me, are you? This isn’t some cruel joke to get me to open the door?” You asked back softly, doubt playing with your fragile feelings.

“N-no! I would never do anything like that!” Claude quickly scrambled to his feet despite their complaint, facing the door as he spoke earnestly. “____, I swear, I love you more than I could ever express!” Slowly, Claude watched as you opened the heavy wooden door, looking at him with eyes that glistened with unshed tears.

“You promise?” You asked, softly, taking a step back into the Goddess Tower proper.

“I promise.” Claude followed in after you, small smile gracing his face as he watched you light up.

“Then… yeah. I’d like to stay by your side, Claude. Now and always.” You took a deep breath, moving closer to pull him into you. “I love you too.” Claude placed a chaste kiss to your forehead, arms finding way around your hips as yours wound around his neck.

“I guess in the end I do win.” He chuckled softly, causing your cheeks to flush. “After all… in the end not only did I catch you but your heart as well.” You pouted at him as he laughed on, sighing and rolling your eyes.

“Fine… fine. You win again.” You couldn’t help but smile, though, too happy to really care about your loss at his hand. “Just don’t brag too much, okay?” You asked.

“Of course not! I have much more important things to brag about now, like how I’m so lucky to have you.” He placed another kiss on your nose and you were left sputtering and blushing at his affectionate gestures.

“O-okay, actually, that’s worse. I would much prefer you brag about beating me!” You whined, hiding your face in his chest.

“Aww, it’s okay.” He cooed. “I swear, after while everyone else will be begging me to shut up too. You won’t be the only one embarrassed then!”

“Claude!” You looked up at him with wide eyes and flushed face and Claude once again found himself struck by you.

“Though… maybe if you kiss me enough, I’ll stay quiet.” He winked, looking down at you.

“W-we’ll see…” You huffed. If he was going to act like that, he could wait for his kisses. “Let’s just leave here, the rumors are already going to spread once we’re seen leaving together…” You sighed.

“And that’s just why I have to speak louder than any gossip.” He laughed. You shook your head, going down the stairs with him hand and hand this time. Who knew being ‘it’ could be so sweet?

Where was the last place you went for vacation? The beach. When was the last time you wore makeup? Halloween. Do you watch soaps or drama series? If so, which ones? Not currently. What’s your favourite tomato variety? I hate tomatoes. What was your very first pet like? Dad had a dog named Trigger when I was born, but I have no memory of her, so I'm excluding her. I consider our first family pet to be Chance, a cat my mom took in after finding her literally in the trash. She was... god, incredible. She was a loyal friend, and I can imagine no greater mother than she was (she legit fought off a rottweiler head-on to protect her kittens). She was so smart, so gentle, and just simply amazing. I'll always miss her. What was the best school project you remember doing? Looking back, despite the fact it TERRIFIED me before, that would be my senior project presentation. It was about snake misconceptions and fallacies, so I made a slideshow to present to the special ed class. I made drawings for them to color, word searches, all that kind of stuff. They were just the sweetest and seemed really into it. What’s your favourite type of fish to eat? None. What kind of an old person do you think you’ll become? I really... don't like thinking about this. Like I'm weak enough now at 25, I can't imagine how my, say, 60s would be. Have you ever tried a colorful macaroon? Maybe you mean macarons? I’ve never seen a macaroon with food coloring before.

Do you say macaroon or macaron? It depends on what I’m referring to because they’re two different kinds of food.

Would you rather go to Paris or London? Both sound a bit too boring of a trip for me tbh, I’d rather go to other European cities.

Which national flag do you like the best? I’m not that into flags to have a favorite...I like how Nepal’s has a unique shape, though.

^Do you agree? I never saw myself looking like Anna but that’s actually the most common one I get, so I just might not know my face all that well. The only one that’s agreeable enough with me is the last celebrity I mentioned.

Do you know anyone who looks like Taylor Swift? No, especially not on this side of the planet.

Have you ever been betrayed by a best friend? Yes but that was like back in the fifth grade. I’ve been very selective of my friends ever since.

What color is the sweatshirt that you wear the most? Black.

Do you have a mirror in your room? No. I don’t really feel as if I need it.

What was the last thing you painted? I last painted on a paint-by-numbers kit, but it’s been a while since I took up the hobby. I want to get back around to it someday, but proably not any time soon as I find it a tad bit time-consuming.

Do you correct grammatical errors online? Not other people’s, but yeah I edit my posts whenever I catch a typo or grammar error. I also edit survey questions if they aren’t in proper grammar, just so other people who’d want to take the same survey won’t have to deal with it and point it out anymore.

What’s the last thing you made out of clay? I’ve only done pottery once, and that time I was taught how to make a vase. I wasn’t able to see the end result though since they still had to bake it and everything, and I was only staying in that town for a few days.

Do you go for days without washing your hair? No, I absolutely hate that feeling. My hair starts getting itchy after a day or so of not washing it and it feels irritating, so I feel the need to shower everyday.

When is the last time you had scrambled eggs and bacon? Maybe around a week ago? It’s something my parents make regularly for breakfast, alongside other local breakfast dishes.

Do you like bacon bits on your salad? I don’t really eat salad but sure, I’ll take some bacon in mine.

What is your favorite salad dressing? See above.

What is your favorite kind of soup? Not a big soup person either. I suppose I’m most enthusiastic about miso soup, if anything.

Do you eat a lot of soup? Not at all. I don’t think I ever purposely ordered it at a restaurant either; I only consume soup if it already comes as a freebie with my order.

Do you collect Mason jars to use for crafts? Nope, was never a hobby of mine. This reminds me that I have a mason jar filled with date receipts and love notes on tiny Post-Its from my last relationship, though...I literally can’t remember if I’ve since thrown it out, but I also haven’t seen it in a while...hm. I guess I’ll try looking for it later today and throw it away if I do find it still lying around in my room.

What’s a trend that you never caught on to? Remember when I said streetwear like, literally a month ago? Lmaoooooo I’m into it now. That’s why I’ll just skip over this question HAHAHAHA I always end up being obsessed with the things I swear off in the beginning :((((

Do you type fast? Very. My co-workers recently started sharing this typing speed website that we’re all free to try out and so far I’m the official reigning champion haha. No one has beaten my WPM record yet.

Did you learn to type through a computer program for kids? Yes. I never adopted the ‘standard’ finger practice though; I type only with my index and middle fingers.

How many years were you homeschooled? I was never homeschooled.

Do you think you’re successful in life? Not quite there yet, but I’m comfortable with the way I’m working towards it for now. It’s nice to be doing things that I know will lead to something in the future.

What do you take for pain? I take a Biogesic pill for headaches. If I get muscle sores/strains, I rub Katinko on the spots that hurt.

Which pharmacy do you use? I never need to go to those but I can always take a drive to the nearby Mercury Drug.

What was the last thing you ate? Sushiiiiiiiii. I made a very impulsive and rash decision to buy THREE ORDERS of sushi yesterday. I hadn’t eaten all day and I also had a crappy at work, and my clouded judgment thought buying 24 pieces of maki was the way to go. I’m still in the stage of trying to convince myself I deserved it anyway.

What are your favorite things to put in tea? I don’t drink tea tea, but when I buy milk tea I always go for chocolate flavors. I also don’t like pearls in my milk tea.

Do you wish the Unicorn Frappuccino was a regular drink at Starbucks? I never go for customized drinks, so I don’t care at all about this.

Is there a coffee shop in your town that’s better than Starbucks? Possibly, but I may not have checked it out yet. For now, I like buying from Starbucks.

Do you frequent any coffee shops? Back in college I used to alternate between Starbucks and Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf; I’d go several times a week to either because coffee shops were the best place to study at.

Which Disney character looks the most like you? Raya for sure, but before her, I felt a big connection with Moana.

Did you go to Disney World or Disneyland as a kid? No, I haven’t gotten to go yet. It would be nice if my first time could also already be a trip with my own kid in the future :)

What are some of your goals for this year? Stay employed, be better at my job, collect more BTS albums.

Does it feel like spring yet? We don’t have spring, so I don’t know what that would feel like.

What do you do to celebrate Earth Day? I don’t wait until April 22 to do something for the planet.

How do you celebrate Easter? I don’t.

Have you ridden your bike yet this year? I can’t ride bikes, haaaaa.

What does your bike look like? The family bike has some blue and grey on it. Not that I ever practice riding it.

What is your favorite place that you’ve lived? I like the house that we live in now. I like that we have a rooftop and that we don’t live with extended family.

Do you shop at Aeropostale? No, and I’m not sure we have Aeropostale shops here. The only reason we ever got Aeropostale items of clothing in the past was because relatives living in the States would occasionally bring home a box of pasalubong for us here in the Philippines.

What’s the last thing you wore from Aeropostale? Idk, probably a shirt. Have you ever been to a church that just wanted your money? Aren’t all churches like that? < Can agree and can confirm. My local parish has been undergoing a ridiculously extravagant renovation for years now and the thing is that the renovation is meant to be so fucking fancy they clearly can’t afford it, so they’ve been pooling money from churchgoers for years now as well. When we could still physically attend mass I used to keep myself from laughing everytime one of the church staff would come up on the podium and ask for money again.

Who is someone you are struggling to forgive, if applicable? I don’t struggle to forgive. I just don’t forgive. If someone does me wrong I just do my best to block them out of my memories, get into the mindset that they never existed, and live peacefully from there.

Have you ever had someone try to intentionally bully you to suicide? I don’t think so, at least not intentionally. My mom always did it unintentionally though, especially in my tween and teen years. She was always very harsh with her words and actions (she still is, but we don’t butt heads as often anymore). I didn’t have a very good emotional foundation mainly thanks to her and I had to claw my own way to get to be the much more stable self I am today.

What’s your favorite type of cereal? Sweet ones.

Who are your favorite kids that you’ve babysat? I never babysat kids outside of younger relatives.

Who is your favorite cousin? My eldest cousin from my mom’s side. I’ve always viewed him more as a brother than a cousin since we did live under the same roof for nearly a decade before my family moved to our own home.

Does one side of your family live in another state? My family is spread out everywhere, dude. I have relatives living in another town, another city, another province, another region, another island, another country. Idk about cultures but that’s generally how Filipino families are to begin with.

Do you want kids? If yes, how many? It would be nice. I just don’t know if I’ll ever be able to find someone I would want to marry and have a family with. It definitely seems bleak, but then again I’m 23 lmao. I’m not in a hurry.

Choices Horrorween Week

Hello folks,

After some thoughts, I decides that the Choices Horrorween week (CHW) will happen!

For those who do not know what it is about. The CHW is an event for those who enjoy the horror genre and its subgenre in choices and also for the incoming Halloween! PB might be making weddings for it but we (the fandom) are going to be celebrating what october is about.

The Choices Horrorween Week will be the 1st November to the 7th November. (The timing changed because I was made aware of the IL appreciation week happening the same week)

If you want to participate you can do anything you want (fics, character analysis, edits, artworks, playlists, idk recipes, knitted mittens and uhhhh pumpkin carvings, ANYTHING) as long as it fits with the Horrorween theme. Also just because it is a Horrorween that does not mean that only the horror genre books are allowed, any books are allowed.

In case you want to do something and have no idea what to do, here are some themes that may help you with it.

November 1 : "What was that?"

Is there something a book overlooked to you that would have resulted in a different outcome and you wish to expand on it? Or something you think people didn't pay as much attention to and want to show em? Go forth!

November 2 : "Comfort in the struggle..."

This is the place for your halloween fluff or tragic romances.

November 3: "Horror is more than jumpscares..."

Jumpscares are nice and all. But there is also different aspects to horror. The paranoia growing. The incoming threat of something you can't fight.

November 4: "What if...it got us in some parallel world..."

This one is about What ifs and alternate universes. What if Cal went feral and could not find his sanity in Nightbound. What if the MC's baby is a manticore in TRH. What if Eleaonor was actually a vengeful ghost.

November 5: "Life is simply unfair sometimes..."

This is just a spot for your darkest work of art. I won't say what because the human brain can be very dark. But be warned if something is deemed far too dark... I may choose to not promote it.

November 6 & 7 : Free day!

Anything you want! Go wild!

Obviously you may still post other stuff on other days it's fine.

Hey so I started ORV about 2 weeks ago and I need to place down my feelings and I hope y’all appreciate it. Most of my predictions about immediate events turned out to be wrong, like they were through most of the novel, but some of the longer ranged ones might still be possible, and as you will read i haven’t edited these, so most of my stuff will be wrong, but I don’t much care, it’s stream of thought. Enjoy

Chapter 0-206

* Dokja will bookmark and use either Jonghyuk’s regression, or Nirvana’s reincarnation.

* Dokja will devour a constellation’s story in order to get their stigma, rather than go through the process of bookmarking it, with my personal guess being zeus and the lightning carnival since that’s been mentioned a bunch and he already has electrification.

* when the fourth wall has devoured things so far, dokja gets a better understanding of the being, so maybe if he devours a constellation like, say, zeus, he will gain a better understanding of the constellation to allow for bookmark

* Soon enough he’ll use unidentified wall to communicate with his allies, probably the underworld, maybe Uriel, definitely Jonghyuk and co. outside Seoul in an attempt to consolidate his power before the coming storm of the nebulae opposing him.

* Yoosung will find a way to be a sacrificial bastard like Dokja so she can upgrade her stigma from him by following his story.

* The fourth wall makes a lot of sense both as a representation of Dokja’s inner thoughts and subconscious, mostly seen as the ways that he’s been traumatized, such as with his mother, are when he becomes most like the fourth wall and the benefits are lost.

* The being inside the wall that his mother saw is unclear to me, i could maybe see the subconscious pride and confidence that he has with himself and the knowledge he possesses, but it could also be the author in some fashion, especially with that bit of advice he got in the outer god’s stomach

* The fourth wall is a great piece of writing for every reason possible, but also makes sense within the universe as to how it can do this stuff: we see everywhere that when a constellation wants to do something direct, it has to use up probability, and anyone that wishes to oppose its actions can use some of that probability as well such as with Kyorgius (I don’t remember how to spell his name, the tiny man), or even the outer god, and probability storms are when nobody will use this probability to oppose them, the universe sets the balance right. And so the fourth wall uses probability

* The fourth wall represents two things: 1. how probable is it that a book character can affect a reader? that’s unlikely right? even more so to be able to know the reader in some intimate fashion? and 2. we see sparks every time someone tries to read his mind/abilities. the fourth wall essentially absorbs that probability and stops the skill, and i think a similar thing happened with the unidentified wall as it seemed to be using a lot of probability to do anything and the fourth wall just took it all in “with a bigger spark”

* the unidentified wall i think will possibly become “identified” as something, either a definite thing straight from ways of survival, or it will be open to possibility like Heewon’s crouching figure, in which case i see like a 30% chance it is influenced by the fourth wall and becomes something similar to it

* I definitely think there’s a possibility the secret plotter is related to the author, and you see it much more when in a reread the constellation seems to occasionally hear his thoughts or potentially understand more about the situation than it should be able to, without being overboard obvious about knowing dokja’s attributes.

* ok and with it laughing when he forces down the fourth wall, like he could tell what happened, and when he was “snapping at the great old ones looking at you,” I’d say he’s pretty damn powerful, maybe even more than narrative grade, and maybe it’ll just be the christian god or the devil or whatever something, but it could also be the author i think

* As we’ve seen most clearly from Dokja’s use of the sword song of the maritime war god, but not Jihye’s ghost fleet, constellations can have multiple stigmas, so i at least am predicting Dokja will give the fourth wall or possibly character list, or maybe even a copy of the ways of survival text (i definitely don’t think she’ll get ORV or bookmark though, those are protagonist powers), as a stigma later on for Yoosung, but i def could be wrong about that.

* I think there’s a possibility Sooyoung will tell everyone that Dokja is a reader before he gets back, but i could see it not happening.

* when 41st Yoosung is born as a dokkaebi, i wonder if using her channel will break the contract he and Bihyoung have. i think he might switch over to the channel for his covert revolution actions at the very least, and just block channel access to the vedas and the other nebulae, and might switch over his scenarioing to the new channel entirely

* actually, when he was in Seoul, he said his contract was cancelled, so maybe he can stream with the both of them now, or even just 41st Yoosung

* i think there’s a possibility that Sooyoung actually did plagiarize the text, but just doesn’t remember, either because she’s becoming more like a character like the two prophets, because when the author deleted the text from the internet her mind got frazzled, or when she made her first clones, the memory of reading it went with it and got destroyed when the clone died

* the author in the first chapter said that their story won a contest, and while in retrospect it seems like a lie, i wonder if there’s the possibility that like with peace land, who’s author sold the setting, if the author wrote the story either without meaning to

* like if Sooyoung actually did just write her own story from a dream, maybe the author did the same and just got more of the dream enough to realize the coming reality of the story, and maybe the dream was them acting like actual prophets to the world before the constellations were going to show up anyway

* the debt/free service time mentioned by the dokkaebi in the beginning is interesting, and i wonder if the end of the scenarios is having enough coins to buy either the planetary system or even just more time of free service away from the constellations.

* Dokja might eventually get more attributes, maybe something like writer or fanfiction writer or revisionist to get new powers given the ways he’s changing the story, either something like avatar (or maybe he’ll just use bookmark for that) as a way to either die more or make a nebulae out of one constellation, or some bullshit reality bending power like writing is, or just like a more reliable use of the other constellations’ Deus Ex Machina to do anything he wants, with enough probability of course

* compounded because in his attributes window we see more skills ■’d out

* given Myungoh’s daughter, will Dokja be adopting a 4th child in the near future?

* maybe asmodeus wants to feed the 73rd demon king to his child

* do you think anyone we’ve met, maybe someone from the constellation banquet, has the ancient dragon’s heart we see Dokja looking at in the Ichthyosaurs’ stomach?

* does/will Dokja look very different from how he did previously because of the golden dragon heart (which based on the heart we’ve seen previously should give him a lot of regen and storage of his magic) and the arm? along with the rest of the broken pieces that became his ruined body that probably only vaguely resemble his face? and the demonic energy he had before and might have again, and maybe ending up as the 73rd demon king

* his face is apparently blurry to people, even with a new story on it, i wonder if he’ll lower the fourth wall to let people see him at some point

* Jihye mentioned that his face is blurry, but Gilyoung has mentioned that he looks fine, so to me that indicates it’s maybe the fourth wall

* do you think there will be any romance by the end? i get the Jonghyuk and Dokja romance implications, but at least as far as the Fate goes, it looked a lot more to me that Dokja’s true love was the love of a good story, and that he died from the story he told with his friends, that proof alone isn’t enough for romance to me, so i could see it ending with none, no romance at all and the story just ends with Dokja and his 7 adopted children.

* why are there 72 demon kings, but they’re in the 73rd demon realm and asmodeus has 32 realms under his control? is there a mistranslation or a misunderstanding going on or what?

* maybe asmodeus absorbs/devours/suborns any demon king that he can and just takes his land, and so he wants the 73rd realm

* could be related to the question of asmodeus’s child above

* i think destroy evil from samyeondang might come up in the demon realm

Chapter 207-214

* I love Uriel now I think, and Biyoo

* i wonder if Dokja can bookmark unidentified wall, or if Hayoung can learn bookmark

* I’m unsure if the revolutionary will end up being a bad person or not, because i think I might have a problem if Dokja just kills the revolutionary, but maybe they’ll sacrifice themselves, or die elsewhere, or maybe they can give it up willingly, idk

* i could see the end of the novel being all the star stream being destroyed, which means no dokkaebis and no stories, so the constellations start to die, and we either get a sad ending of Dokja dying as a constellation, or we get a nice one of him (and maybe some other nice constellations) surviving on Biyoo’s Bootleg, or maybe the same barstardry he pulls, with him doing another “I don’t die when I am killed” and coming back from death again

* I wonder if Hayoung and maybe Dokja will find/convince the 15 year old to allow/make a way for Sooyoung to keep her sanity while following the story, like maybe a new story for the constellation, idk

* ooh shit, Dokja having read the story is spreading, yoo sangah at least suspects, i wonder if everyone will know by the time he gets back

* it’d be a funny scene if Uriel notices Biyoo’s Bootleg and tells Jonghyuk about it to avoid the dokkaebi, and so they miss each other for a bit until Dokja does something stupid/self-sacrificing enough (maybe by a plan from the Duke) that Jonghyuk realizes it’s him and comes and saves him

* i had a dream the dokkaebi had british accents whenever they spoke, and the idea of a foul mouthed floating cat going around saying “oi cunts moider each other or ah’ll shank ya nan” is just hilarious to me

* If Dokja can find a way to with relative consistency summon the soldier, that’s great

* Dokja normally says no to potentially unfair support like this from constellation level beings, but i’d actually like to see him deal with asmodeus and just manage to manipulate it so that he is the king of all demons or something

* If Dokja gets support from Asmodeus, than the demon will probably leave his incarnation body there and use it as a puppet to pop in when needed even as he attends to matters in his own kingdom most of the time. This’d open the possibility of Dokja getting to adopt another child, which is always good to see

* I’m also real curious how the possibility of the people who were once characters finding out they were, and what differences there will be to the “real” people, although the fact that the two prophets are characters now is intriguing

* So far it’s just Sangah who knows, but I wonder if Heewon and the others will even be allowed to understand the concept, given the ways the filtering has prevented it in the past

Demon Eyes Kyo (Demon Eyes Kyo)- I read this manga in the 6th grade... it is fucking bloody and gory, so don’t look it up if you are weak stomached. I used him as the Guardian Spirit of Hao on his blog instead of the Fire Spirit.

Beelzemon (Digimon)- I had him on a blog I have yet to mention, but you’ll see why I haven’t yet, that blog is in a category all of its own~

Luka Cross (OC- No other affiliation)- She is a girl with the power to summon elementals. From fire and ice spirits, to even the goddess of the moon. Her goal is to gain the power of Elder Summoning. Aldo Omega is in this AU as the guardian of the Library of Summoners, and he is an Elder Summon.

Luka (TOME)- She is the little sister of Xirra. A different kind of virus, hers is a contact epidemic virus that spreads through touch. She has her hands covered at all times, and is very shy, but is almost second to none in hand to hand combat, being at least 30 time stronger than her just 4 foot stature would lead you to believe. she is also a lolita that wears extremely tall boots, and yet she is still very short... like just under 5 foot short. She also dates a giant dragon... and she sounds like Hinata from Naruto... she is an actual baby that is months old

Jack’s life was perfect, or near enough.

Indeed there were some bad aspects; He was woken by a screaming baby 3 times per night, his wife would be irritable and snappy during the day from the lack of sleep, as would he. He wasn’t too fond of his job either, he’d never imagined himself as a pencil pusher but the arrival of their little ‘Angel’ James had forced him to take the first job he came across.

It was similar to how things had been with Jeanie. Any thought of that caused a pang of pain and guilt to rush through him, so he tried not to think about it. He saved all that up for his therapy sessions, provided by Harleen - free of charge of course.

As good as their life was there was one thing that always played on Jack’s mind: Harleen, as much as he loved her, as perfect as their life together was, she wasn’t ‘the one’.

You only get one ‘the one’.

Jack’s had been Jeanie.

He’d never told Harleen.

When they’d been together their skin glowed, the world exploded into colour. Losing that, losing her, had been unbearable.

He remembered the day he met Harleen. Shortly after Jeanie had died Jack suffered a mental breakdown, he’d served a short court mandated stay in Arkham’s low security ward, Harleen happened to walk through the front door at the same time that Jack was dragged in.

Harleen had talked about their first meeting multiple times, it was a go to at parties, Jack was drugged and delirious, throwing himself at whoever caught his eye.

“I’ll piss on your grave!” he had yelled at Harleen upon seeing her, a look in his eyes akin to glee, laughing in an odd tone that seemed so desperate.

Harleen had been quite taken aback, of course.

‘I thought it was a shame’ she said when recounting the story, ‘that someone as handsome as him would be so rude.’

Their second meeting was more civil.

Jack approached her in the rec room as she observed the patients, timid and mousey as usual.

In a voice almost a whisper he had apologised to her, he could remember doing everything he did but it wasn’t really him, it was like he’d snapped, the memory of it was like the memory of a film. She’d smiled at him and accepted his apology.

‘But you better find a way to make it up to me.’

It’d been almost 4 years since then. Now they were married with a young boy.

Life was almost perfect.

But he wished he could see his skin glow again.

Jack pulled himself out of bed and dressed himself in front of the mirror, his chest throbbing as it always did at the sight of his dull appearance. He smiled as he left the room, hearing Harleen and AJ in the kitchen.

“Please little Angel, stop crying already, it’s been hours.”

Jack stopped at the door, watching them with a sleepy smile on his face, “How are my two favourite kids?”

Harleen huffed, frowning, “We’re both tired. I can’t stop him crying,” she said, a desperate tone to her voice, “Help me out puddin’? He’s your kid too y’know.”

Jack nodded and outstretched his arms, he took the 9 month old from her and began to bounce him in his arms, pulling funny faces in an attempt to cheer him up.

Within a minute the child’s cried stopped, fading into the sweet babbling of a happy baby.

Harleen huffed softly, turning to make her and Jack’s breakfast, “I don’t get it! I do that and it makes him worse.”

“I think he likes my teeth,” Jack said, flashing her a toothy grin.

“Yeah? Well he’s the only one,” Harleen replied, placing two plates of low fat scrambled egg on whole wheat toast on the table.

Jack glanced at the food, letting out a soft sigh as he moved to sit down. He missed having cereal. He and Harleen had agreed to eat more healthily after AJ’s birth, or more he had suggested it and she’d taken him seriously.

Hopefully she’d eventually get bored of it herself and they’d revert to lucky charms and honey nut cheerios.

“Hey,” he said to her quietly as they ate, baby AJ still in his arms. “I’ve got an hour before work, why don’t I take care of the brat and you have a nap?”

Harleen’s face softened a little, “Are you sure?” she asked, suddenly filled with excitement.

“Yeah sure, you’ve been up since what? 5 am?”

She smiled widely, leaning over the small table to kiss his forehead, “Thanks. I feel like I haven’t slept in a week…”

Jack chuckled softly, “Go on, you get your beauty sleep. You let me sleep in, It’d be rude if I didn’t return the favour.”

He watched her shovel the last of her food into her mouth and toddle off towards the bedroom.

Before AJ was born they might take this spare time to be together as man and wife, but that was parenthood, or so he’d been told.

No sleep and no sex.

It was funny, he thought to himself, their child was nicknamed ‘Angel’ but he was the worst baby ever. He’d wake multiple times in the night no matter what they did, if you didn’t pay attention to him he’d scream nonstop. He was nicknamed ‘Angel’ but he was a little devil.

He took after Jack so much. He had the same features and hair type. He was a beautiful little thing.

Jack could watch him sleep for days and it’d feel like no time had passed.

He settled on the sofa after finishing his food and turned on the tv. His eyes darting between the morning news and the baby in his arms.

It seemed that two-faced guy had caused some havoc again and Batman, ever valiant, had taken him down yet again.

Jack couldn’t help but smile at it, it seemed quite funny really, from the outside they both seemed as bad as each other, they both caused property damage, both harmed people. If Batman was after anything but Two-face he’d be hunted down too.

Before Jack knew it almost an hour had passed, AJ was now asleep in his arms, all he needed to do was brush his teeth and he’d be ready for his work day.

After working at Wayne enterprises for a little under a year he finally had a meeting with the boss, Bruce Wayne himself. Of course he’d seen the boss before in video conferences and on tv but he’d not met him in person.

He climbed the stairs to the master bedroom and knocked softly on the door, “Harleen, sweetie-pie,” he cooed as he entered, “I’ve got a gift for you.”

Harleen groaned softly and rolled in the bed, “That gift better not’ve left me a gift.”

Jack shook his head, “No he’s clean. Do you really think I’d be mean enough to do that?”

“Uh? Yes? You’ve done it before.” She sat up in the bed and held out her hands to take the baby.

Jack chuckled, flashing a toothy grin, “I have never done such a thing in my life Harleen, I have more class than that.”

Harleen scoffed, “Sure you do…” She took AJ and waved a hand at Jack, “Go on then, you don’t wanna be late for Brucie.”

“Mr Wayne,” Jack corrected, “If I called him Brucie I’d get fired on the spot.”

“Good!” Harleen smiled, “Then you could look after AJ and I could get some more sleep.”

Jack chuckled, “Hey don’t you call my bluff,” he waggled a finger at her, “You know if you push me I’ll do it, and if I come home with no job we’ll both be screwed.”

“Go then.”

Usually Jack smiled all the way to work, he smiled as he brushed his teeth, he smiled as he kissed Harleen and AJ goodbye, he smiled as he began playing his favourite song. He continued smiling as he hit traffic.

‘Accident: delay 25 minutes’

Seeing the sign stopped him smiling.

He let out a hollow chuckle and began tapping his hands on the wheel. He didn’t have time for this… He couldn’t be late to meet Bruce Wayne, he just couldn’t.

There were no shortcuts he could take to avoid a delay.

… He’d just have to own it. He was sure the rest of his team could handle 10 minutes without him.

He sent a text to his workmate and let out a sigh, the smile coming back to his face as he skipped to another song he liked.

It would be ok, he’d just slip in, most likely no one would even notice.

The minutes crawled past as slow as his car did. He could see his workplace approaching.

Maybe it’d be faster to ditch the car and walk?

No, no, that was a bad idea.

Just a few more minutes…

Finally he parked up. 40 minutes late. He jumped out of the car and sprinted towards the building, he used to be so athletic, he wished he hadn’t let himself go so much.

Finally, panting, he entered the lab, gasping for breath. He should have taken his time and strolled in… hindsight is 20/20.

“Finally,” a familiar voice said from the corner of the room. Bruce Wayne.

Jack straightened himself a little, smiling in hello, still panting too loudly to speak.

Bruce Wayne stood on the other side of the room, an attractive hulk of a man, smiling back politely.

“You must be Jack,” Bruce said, walking towards him with long strides, “Your colleagues have told me all about you.”

The man held out his hand.

Jack stared at it a moment before reaching out to shake.

The moment their hands touched something happened…

Jack felt a warmth spread through him, a warmth he’d felt before.

He looked down at his hand.

It was glowing. The pale skin brighter than he’d ever seen it.

He looked back up at Bruce.

Could he see it too?

Judging by the look of shock on the man’s face he’d say so.

“Bruce,” Jack said breathlessly, staring at him.

Bruce pulled back his hand, clutching it to himself for a moment. He continued looking Jack up and down.

“Uh…” The man was stuttering, obviously shocked, as was Jack.

Was this the first time Bruce had seen it..?

Jack felt a twisting pain in his stomach, he wanted to cry, he didn’t understand.

“I have to go,” he said, his voice a whisper.

He turned and ran, shutting himself in the mens’ room.

His heart was racing, tears pooling in his eyes.

This was wrong.

You only get one ‘the one’. And he’d already had his. He’d made peace with that. He’d moved on with his life. He couldn’t handle this. He was happy. He loved Harleen. Their life was perfect.

His breath hitched and he began to sob, the realisation of what had happened filling him, he felt like he was going to throw up.

His memories of Jeanie swarmed to the front of his mind. That warm feeling he’d felt, he’d missed it for so long.

He sank to the floor, holding his hands to his face, he felt so ill…

He wished he was back at home, in bed with Harleen.

He tried to calm himself using the methods Harleen had taught him. He had anxiety attacks sometimes, though they’d gotten rarer in the past few years.

Control your breathing.

Ground yourself.

It seemed to be working.

He’d have to go home though, there was no way he could stay after this, not today.

He’d make up for the missed work by doing overtime on the weekend.

He couldn’t handle this.

Leaving the building proved harder than he thought, not physically, that was as easy as signing your name. Mentally though? Jack couldn’t stop thinking…

If he left now…

What if people guessed? Jack could be a skittish person sometimes, he had practically no impulse control, but he never left work without being ill. They needed the money.

A panic attack counted as being ill didn’t it?

But he couldn’t tell them that.

What if someone caught on?

He knew a few people in his office had met ‘the one’, some of them had seen him interacting with Bruce, it might not be hard to guess.

And what about when he got home?

Harleen would ask why he was home so early.

Jack closed his eyes, banging his head against the wall.

No.

He couldn’t go home.

He was too shaken, he couldn’t deal with the questions and the crying baby.

He’d go to the park, have something to eat, enjoy some solitude.

That sounded good.

Slowly he got to his feet, breathing slowly.

He walked to sign out, looking around constantly to check if anyone he knew could see him.

Today was supposed to be such a good day, why did this have to happen?

He was so tired.

(1) Happy birthday first of all, I hope your day was good!! There's essentially nothing wrong in what you're saying, but there is a difference in sharing culture and appropriating it. Cornrows, hiphop etc, have a important role in black history and it's just been often enough that kpop artists have used these prospects of our culture as a 'costume' as well as other cultures. Of course that doesn't justify just entering the industry but auditioning when you already have

(2) a label doesn’t really make sense right? Despite that, it won’t exactly be easy for non-asians to receive a lot of attention over there, since the tastes in music are also very different. Exp edition will most likely go down like a lead balloon either way but let’s just see. Kpop doesn’t have the reputation it had before anymore and although some stuff may shift around the essential will be the same. It’s just people singing Korean after all, wether Koreans will take it

(3) offensively is still unclear. Wether it’s a Chinese person or someone Nigerian singing Korean shouldn’t really matter right? It’s an attempt to spread a little more awareness, so let’s just see how it goes. Maybe it’ll backfire horribly, maybe not, but it’s worth a try. I hope I didn’t offend you in any way, but got my point across ;u;

thank you for your input and letting me know!! i know theres a difference between sharing and appropriating culture. its rly hard to teach ppl that too but gskdljgd i guess we all have different ways to process info we’re given and have diff beliefs n unfortunately some ppls beliefs are so set in stone that theyre 2 ignorant 2 care :((

what i kinda just wanted to say is that theres this rly… blurred and undefined line as to who can and who cant join kpop. imo i think anyone who wants to be a kpop star should be…. asian?? cuz like we’re constantly being flushed and ignored in hollywood n western stuff, same w black people. so as minorities we all have something we want to keep to ourselves and hold on to, so that others dont get to it, yknow?? so with kpop, its just something i think is a place for us to,, like,,, shine ????? idk how else to better phrase it so that people dont misunderstand gkdlsgd im really bad with words so its hard for me to explain some things i wanna say, so i hope im making a bit of sense n that i didnt say anything offensive or problematic ;; 

but i guess on one side there are people who say “let anyone who works hard no matter what ethnicity into the kpop industry!!” bc yes while thats a valid argument you cant help but see others say “theyre not asian and its not their place??” and im more of the latter. i hope i dont sound too confusing o my goodness
