The funniest thing just happened to me as of recently.

I was scrolling through ao3 as per euge~ and I came across the ship tag known as First Aid/Vortex. I was like, “Oh yeah, the nurse guy and the unstable helicopter guy, yeah I could see that-“ then it hit me.

First Aid is an ambulance who’s an empathetic and compassionate doctor with blue optics/visor. Vortex is an insane helicopter maniac who has magnetic capabilities in FOC(from TFwiki states is from Aligned)and has an ‘x’ at the end of his name.

You don’t think…

First Aid + Vortex = Medix

Medix……Medix is going to be a uh, a uh, sparkling-conceived by Vortex and First Aid, and and they both weren’t ready for a baby. So uh they um, they put him up for adoooption and he got adopted by a dude, who traveled t-to Junkion and like, left or something, leaving Medix alone to be raised by the community. Afterwards, he eventually gwoess back to cybertwon and like First Aid’s like instincts kick in and like recognizes the itty bitty baby boy and like there’s gonna be angst-SO MUCH AAAANGST!!

Tarn geting fidigity but Megatron eyes still closed locks an arm around his hips and digs claws into Tarn’s treads. "Be still!" The command comes out in a low iratable growl that does spmthing rather primal in Tarn’s array. Tarn is trying his best to obey right up untill Starscream and Soundwave stride in. His mask is gone he's twitchy because Starscream is at his back and he can feel Soundwave's judgement.

Fortunately(or not) for Tarn and Megatron’s tattered dignity Starscream and Soundwave kick out (in some cases literaly)the piles of entertwined transgluid covered Decepticons surounding the throne with orders to get to the wash racks. Then, the lecture begins.

Megatron and Tarn are geting a lecture on the utter irresponsibility of sparking up a mech who's a sire. Because aparently between Tarn’s Vocalization of Ecstasy™️ and Pharma sending out carrier in need signals the entire Airforce went into a Rut enduced riot and the mecha nearest their frag fest fell into a Voice triggered-orgy.

Pharma has a new owner/master/keeper now. It's Thundercracker who won the fight to asist him. Starscream was otherwise occupied. (He nope-ed when Tarn’s modesty panel went shink. He realy did not want to see that.)

Tarn is very hungover and trying to process the discovery that he is a daddy and a mommy. The fact he's simultaneously trying to purge his memory the image of Vortex and Vos covered in each other's bodily fluids groping eachother on the way to the washracks and Devastator coming apart to lead a still blissed out Tesarus to the washracks for aftercare doesn't help.

We see in the issue where Bruticus combines that Swindle- despite being comatose? Deadish? Is still present in the shared headspace, and they reference it later on as being pretty traumatic in some ways.

Ambulon is dead when he combines with Defensor. He’s been tended to for months, but he’s still a dead body. And I wonder- how did it feel to combine with him?

It’s not touched on aside from the “Ambulon is used once more as a plot device”, and quite literally in this moment, but I really do wonder. If combining with Swindle was traumatic even for the Combaticons, what about the Protectobots? What about First Aid? The same First Aid who was so stricken by grief that he spent the past 6 months in his room and workshop, obsessively putting Ambulon back together. Grief-stricken First Aid.
