Heyyy... I'm searching for a Drarry Fic I read some time ago...

I don't remember that much so I hope it's enough

TW: rape

Draco is having sex with almost every guy so people see him as "easy". One day he goes with a quidditch Player up to a hotel room (I think) and they have sex. But during the act draco says he doesn't want it anymore and teils him to stop but the Player just keep on going and doesn't stop even after being Told multiple times..

Draco feels filthy aferwards but also blames himself

He becomes pregnant

Harry at some point starts talking to draco and kinda gets involved

I remember one scene mor clearly:

Draco and Harry are in front of a house and Harry wants to talk to him but draco tells him no and follows it with something along the lines of: "my No also means something. If I say no it means no" and he's on the verge pf breaking down

And Harry I think realises that something happened

Later on they raise the child together and he also sues the Rap*St but nothing happens

Excerpt:

Ears hungry for Draco’s words, eyes increasingly hungry for his lips, Harry stretches out his arm on the backrest of the settee, in-accidentally grazing Draco’s shoulder. He doesn’t lean away.

The thrill of a familiar nervousness blooms in Harry’s chest, both familiar because it’s Draco Malfoy, but mainly because there are enough cases in which it is hard to figure out if a bloke is into men or not. Luckily, Harry hardly ever had any bad experiences with men who were not into other men at all, but sometimes it’s hard to read the signs especially with this visceral euphoria he’s feeling which, as he well knows, comes from the coke and the alcohol.

And in this case, it’s hard to tell. If looks are anything to go by, Draco does look a lot like he used to, back at  school. He’s still ridiculously young in appearance, eyes, skin, and hair pale against his black clothes; if Harry didn’t know that they are born the same year, he would guess that he has a couple years on Draco. His shoulders are broad and taper down to his narrow waist and hips, incredibly skinny in tight jeans. Does he look or dress or talk like he could be gay? Harry can’t tell. But in his experience, most disinterested would have firmly, politely lost the touch had he laid a hand on their shoulder.

“Can we kiss?” Harry can’t help but ask.

Draco’s eyes are on Harry’s. He’s beaming with enthusiasm, but the moment Harry’s words soak in, his mouth slacks until he looks completely unguarded.. “Yes,” he replies. “Yes, please.”

They both laugh while rearranging their positions on the settee, and possibly Draco feels just as clumsy as Harry. When they face each other, arms meeting on the backrest, their hands squeezing each other’s forearms, Harry leans forward to put his lips on Draco’s, chaste, testing. 

Draco smells of woodsy cologne and his lips feel like velvet. His lips look thin and his whole posture rigid, but as soon as Harry takes off his spectacles, and they shift closer to each other, his body against Harry’s own moves, pliable and responsive to his touch. Harry’s eyelids stay closed to savour the feeling of the touch and the humid heat of their mouths. But when he blinks, an odd, numbed realisation dawns in him that it is indeed Draco Malfoy he’s kissing, and it’s both funny and just- so unlikely and in some ways a little wrong.

Not able to suppress a soft chuckle, Harry smiles against the few pecks Draco presses to his lips, into his stubble. They don’t talk for a few minutes; they just look at each other, fingers tracing faces, hair, and arms.

The sun must’ve set. The half-burnt candles on the coffee table are painting the room in warm oranges and thick shadows. It’s too dark for the ordinary Muggle lighting that Harry is used to, but it almost feels romantic.

“I like the long hair on you,” Draco whispers. He cards a hand through it, denied halfway by the strands trapped in Harry’s bun. When he pulls off the hairband, the knot untangling into a mess of shoulder-length black strands, Draco starts massaging his head with both hands and, bloody hell, does it feel nice. Harry can’t remember the last time someone touched him so reverently and patiently when the part of the attentions wasn’t his prick or his arse.

A tingly wave of Draco’s magic streams over his scalp and down his spine, eliciting a groan emanating from deep within his throat. “Sweet Jesus,” he moans, angling his head for Draco to massage his nape. Just a second ago, his erection was straining against jeans, but now Harry feels far too relaxed for the urgency of that. He shifts closer to Draco until he’s in his arms, Draco’s hands a reliable pressure against his skull and shoulders.

“You smell so good,” Harry says, meaning both his cologne and his scent, nuzzling Draco’s jaw, the curve of his neck, which causes Draco to huff laughter and arch both away and towards Harry. The movement ends with Draco on his back and Harry on top of him, body’s aligned, limbs tangled into each other.

They are quiet while horizontal. Draco guides Harry’s head to his own, and for a while, all they do is kiss to the tunes of 00’s pop-rock, beats thrice the tempo of their languorous kisses.

The idea of it doesn’t really make his stomach twist uncomfortably anymore.

He shrugs, the movement of it made lopsided by the way Potter is pressed so closely against his left side. He doesn’t tell Potter that he might be in love with him, but he thinks maybe Potter gets that something has once again shifted and settled between them, hopefully for the last time. For now it feels ok to just stay here for a bit, Draco’s home spread out below him. Maybe sort of pressed right next to him as well.

I think one of the best ways to find new fics is through authors you already love, whether you're just following them and seeing what they're reblogging or digging through their bookmarks, it's a surefire way to find new fics. I've admired @ladderofyears' work for ages, and was thrilled when she agreed to give a rec. I fell in love with her rec and I know you will too!

Hello, and happy August to everybody reading today!

First, I would like to offer my sincere thanks to thedrarrylibrarian, both for inviting me to write a rec for Happy Hour and for all the hard work they do. It’s often said that fic reccers are the backbone of fandom, but there’s never been a truer sentence. It certainly makes my day whenever I’m recced and I think it’s safe to say that most other writers feel the same.

Now, with no further ado, let me begin this week’s rec.

Dear Stranger by @iero0 (22,751 words, rated T)

The one thing more pointless than falling in love with an anonymous wizard over a correspondence is falling in love with Harry Potter when you’re Draco Malfoy.

The story I’ve chosen is Dear Stanger, written by my friend @iero0 as part of @hd-cluefest. This was a fest which featured mysteries, secrets and surprises and this story doesn’t disappoint on any level.

Draco Malfoy – living a sparse, quiet existence as a potion emporium owner – receives the first of a series of anonymous letters very soon after Valentine’s Day. He doesn’t know who their author is and, at first, is suspicious that someone is out to trick him or cause him trouble. However, the letters keep arriving, and as the months pass, they change his whole life for the better.

Okay, I hear you saying; that sounds like every epistolary story ever written. What makes this story so different? Why should you give it your time? My answer to that is Draco, whose perspective this story is written from. He is the beating heart of this fic, and his characterisation is flawless. This Draco, without a doubt, is the best one I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading.

Life hasn’t always been easy for him. The Malfoy fortune and lands are long gone, and finding a job after the war wasn’t simple. After serving a long probation, he found work in a Knockturn potions shop, taking it over after the owner died. 

The Draco we meet when the fic opens isn’t the sarcastic, poised boy from Hogwarts; an existence of hard work, long hours, and caring for Narcissa has left him tightly wound, self-reliant and untrusting. He is touch-starved, and lonely. His days run through familiar routines, his friends have married and moved on, and seeing his mother each Sunday is his only excursion. 

However, as we all know, Draco was always gifted at brewing potions, and this fact hasn’t changed. Harry Potter – top Auror and father of three – visits every single week, picking up his prescription whilst exchanging only a few scant words with Draco.

As the letters arrive, we see the walls Draco has built around his world slowly start to crumble. Under the encouragement of his fellow letter writer, Draco starts to take better care of himself, starts to smile more often, and begins to believe he is of value to the world. He starts to see himself from the letter writer’s perspective and blossoms in the light of their affection.

When I first read this fic, I was breathless with hope. I wanted so much for Draco’s anonymous stranger to reveal himself and give them the happiness they both deserved. The ending, when it arrived, gave me everything I wanted and has lived in my head ever since. There isn’t a week that goes past where I don’t think about the Draco who lives in this story. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

1. A cup of tea. A genuine addiction. There is never a time of the day when I've not got a cup in my hand. I like Twinnings Lady Grey with milk, no sugar.

2. My bed. I'm not a night owl and I love sleeping. I'm definitely not a napper though. I think I've had two naps in my whole life.

3. A good documentary. I love them! I'm not even too bothered about the subject, as long as it isn't too upsetting. I adore learning about something new and interesting. Some favourites include: Blackfish, The Staircase and the recent Woodstock '99 doc.

4. Listening to music. Other than when I'm writing, I listen to music all the time. I can't live without a soundtrack. I love all kinds of music but Roxy Music, Fleetwood Mac, Nirvana, Kate Bush and The Smiths are some I can't live without.

5. I like visiting stately homes. I enjoy the atmosphere and the stories behind the different places. This is probably the reason I love Pride and Prejudice so much. I studied Heritage Management while university and I was a history teacher for a lot of years. I'm a member of the National Trust.

Excerpt:

They just sit there, staring out at the curious line where the ocean meets the sea, and Draco thinks that they will stay like this for a while. But he feels Potter’s eyes on him then, burning into his skin that, together with the draughts, it sparks a prickle on Draco’s cheeks. The green burns into him like he could vanish, were Potter even to blink.

“Speak your mind, Potter. We are no strangers.”

Draco looks at him finally and takes in the sight much like he tried to memorise every part of the beautiful scenery, Potter’s scenery, only that he realises that it’s possible, palpable. It’s not a vague blend of greys and blues and whites, but lose strands of ebony hair, and eyes like jade with an unpolished rim. A straight nose that maybe somewhere had the remnants of a fracture. A stubble that would scrape over Draco’s skin, would they touch. Lips that could look luscious but are bitten and dry. At last, they part.

“Can I kiss you?”

“No,” Draco says, his eyes still on Potter’s lips. Then again, a little softer, “No.” He pushes himself up, then holds out a hand for Potter and pulls him to his feet, not letting go of his hand.

“I want you to hold me,” Draco says, and adds, “I want to hold you,” because he doesn’t know which one is truer.

It starts like a hug Draco would see between mates. But Potter clings to him and rests his head on Draco’s shoulder. He has never realised that the other man is a few centimetres shorter than him, but Draco can comfortably nestle his face in Potter’s hair, redolent of cedarwood and vanilla, and urge his face closer to his neck until he feels Potter’s nose and his stubble not against his robe but against his skin. These broad shoulders that appear so unyielding melt to Draco’s touch.

Draco thinks it should feel awkward to just stand there like this for a while. To have someone so close who you’ve known for so long. Someone you didn’t know at all and all too well. To feel something so tender and so fragile that it should collapse instead of allowing them to brace each other. But it doesnt

Various seeds can bloom on such a gay spring day, including the one of their love. One doesn't need a green thumb to grow this one, and here they are, marvelled at the happiness they get from the other.

This fic starts off with lovely, magical moments of Draco and Harry in a wizarding park that Draco takes them to. iero0 writes amazing descriptions of the scenery and of the boys' time at a quaint cafe in the park – you’ll feel as if you’re there yourself. I couldn’t stop smiling reading about the softness between the two; Harry’s sheer joy at the magic and being there with Draco, and the obvious affection Draco has for Harry. Tender words and appreciation for each other leads to a sex scene that’s not just hot but also sweet and brimming with their love.

Hi I looooooooooove your rec lists you have helped me through SO much by making it available to read any kind of fic I need at that time!!

I was hoping for any recommendations for angsty & ptsd drarry fics with nightmares and anxiety/ panic attacks. But Draco and Harry help eachother through it and use sex/BDSM as a coping mechanism / to help each other heal. My all time favourite is Scenes of Surrender by Rasborealis, but I've never found anything like it.

some Saturday sentences

I've not done one of these in a while (despite being tagged by some lovely people. Thank you!!!). BUT I'm going to release chapters of my newly completed fic starting... tomorrow? Maybe tomorrow? Maybe next week? I haven't decided. So thank you @tackytigerfic for the tag. Your timing is impeccable. (Also, go see what they posted because I am EXCITED about what tacky's been toiling away on).

Anyway, have some angsty fluff from my new fic, Finely Drawn Lines, which features professors!drarry, friends with benefits, a draco who draws, a dense forest of PINE, and a whole lot of smut.

“Kiss me,” Potter demanded.

Draco situated himself, straddling Potter’s hips with his face cradled between Draco’s hands. “You don’t get to tell me what to do, Potter.”

“I’ll ask nicely.”

Draco huffed a surprised laugh. “Will you now?”

“Kiss me, please.” Potter’s grin was charmingly crooked and Draco could hardly suck in a breath for the aching between his ribs.

He held Potter behind the ears and tilted his head, placing a chaste kiss on his forehead, over his hair.

“You missed,” Potter said. “Try again.”

Draco kissed the crest of his cheekbone.

“Not quite.”

Draco kissed the jut of his jaw, letting his lips linger there a moment too long. Potter growled and plunged both hands into Draco’s hair, holding him fast and angling his head forcefully as he curled his body up to connect their mouths.

There was no hesitation, no gentle, tentative press of lips. It was tongues and teeth and the slick slide of Potter’s mouth over Draco's. Heat poured into Draco’s gut, and he groaned. He couldn’t help it because he’d missed this. Missed him. And the way Potter curved his spine and tightened the circle of his arms around Draco’s neck almost fooled Draco into thinking Potter missed him too.
