with my phantom hourglass replay, there are two things i noticed;

a possible theme you could glean from the game is action vs inaction, and i think it's especially prevalent before you even leave mercay the first time, with oshus frequently urging link to not go after the ghost ship, then to just wait until the broken bridge is fixed, and seems reluctant at every turn while link and ciela are more than eager to go and do something about this problem, and the people of mercay in general talking about things and their problems but never seeming to act on their fears or desires, as well as the mention that due to the ghost ship, very very few people are still sailing around, while linebeck is one of the only people we see in the game actively going after the ghost ship and still sailing around. i might make a longer post just talking more about the action vs inaction in phantom hourglass but i just noticed it a bit and thought it was a bit of an interesting sort of theme you could find in the game.

linebeck moves so fucking much. i think he moves more than any npc in the rest of the game. not just in his intro cutscene where he is very animated, just in how much he moves when just standing in his little idle post, it's damn near distracting when the camera is focused on him, he moves a lot. i don't think i've really acknowledged how much he moves, and it really gives the impression that he's antsy or eager to get going, both of which fit him pretty well with how he acts.

So Yarnaon, she is the oldest of all the cult and the disciples, in my gameplay she is my first wife but on my lore she is the most responsable out of everyone, being there the longest gave her a sense of wisdom and mostly helps taking care of the cult when Lamb is crusading. She is serious, hard working and doesnt have much like for chaos or havoc like the others.

Then there's Nono, MY PRECIOUS NONO she is the first born of the cult and on my lore (idk if call it an au im still seeing what to do) she is kinda of a daughter to Lamb, mostly being raised by them after a plague killed her parents. She is very sweet, out going and extremely loyal to her Leader. She has a bunch of scars on her bc of her crusades with Lamb. She loves fighting and adventuring and wont tolerate any bad mouthing of the leader.

And Merarno… he is something he is prankster, chaotic and mostly a troublemaker. A lot of the cultist dont understand how is it possible that he is still on the cult or hasnt been sacrificed yet. Welp, its because Lamb likes that about Merarno nothing its the same with him, there's always a new way they find to sneak up trouble under the Lamb's nose and after all these years running the cult sometimes its the same thing over and over again. That's why they gave him a immortality necklace but they havent made him his disciple, why? because they know that he will try to take advantage of his power. And for the cultist to not get mad of the favouritism towards Merarno they gave him the worst job which is cleaning poop or messes on the cult.

And Finally, Nollie, they are quiet, curious and always open to know more, one of the new disciples and someone born in the cult. They are mostly friends with Nono and often will work on the kitchen if they arent helping Yerarno around.

And ofc we have fucking Narinder, we all love him for me, the characterization of him its mostly yknow, an asshole still pissed fro lossing his powers but slowly warming up working on the cult, he would often work on the farms and alone mostly because almost nobody on the cult likes him. the few people that put up with his bullshit its Nono (because she wont be taking anyone's shit) and Merarno (drinking buddies). i tried to give him other clothes bc ngl i wont be giving him a long ass robe if he is working his ass off he kept part of his old tunic as a reminder of what he once was.

I was doing what I usually do. Clean. It's boring, but I need money. Plus, I would say it's an honour to work alongside Lucifer. He is the king of hell, after all. I do have to say that I may have a little crush on him. But that's our secret.

I mean, how couldn't you? He's handsome, strong, the king of hell, funny, single. He's everything a person could need. It's only a slight problem. He's straight, and I'm not.

I mean, the guys had two wives. There's no way he'd be attracted to men in any way, and it's not like I'd stand a chance since I'm just a standard cleaner. The only times he ever talks to me is when he asks me to assist him with his work.

I dont know how long I've had these feelings for Lucifer. Maybe a year or 2 now. I've been working with him for 8 years, so I'm quite a loyal worker. The feelings started when he helped Charlie in battle on extermination day. He returned all tired and warned out. He went straight to sleep, so I did his paperwork. He woke up and thanked me. He touched my shoulder and smiled handsomely, all while making complete eye contact. My face went red.

How was I not supposed to fall in love with him? God, my face feels warm just thinking about it.

I was walking around his palace. I was just cleaning the place, making sure I didn't miss anything. I knocked softly three times on Lucifers door. I could hear a frustrated groan as he got up from his desk and opened the door.

"I mean, my duck collection could use a bit of cleaning, would you mind?" He says I smile at the thought of a grown man owning ducks. Not to mention he's litrally the king of hell. I nod at his request. He moves out of the way to let me walk through, and I do just that.

I walk into his room and get overwhelmed with the sheer amount of ducks he actually has. He has whole piles of them. He wasn't joking when he said 'collection' of ducks. I smile awkwardly, and I turn to make eye contact with Lucifer.

He chuckles awkwardly. "Yeah.. there's alot..sorry about that, Y/N." To break the awkwardness, I just turn to him and put a hand on his shoulder.

"It's my job, isn't it? I'll be fine, sir, get back to what you were doing before." I say as I hesitantly approach the tower of ducks in the corner. I'll start here.

"Alright...um, good luck." Lucifer says with a slight chuckle as he goes to his desk and continues with his paperwork like usual.

Y/N entered my room and automatically started cleaning. I know it's his job, but I still feel bad making him do all my dirty work. Alough, he does look really attractive. Just the way he looks, the tight black suit and nicely brushed hair, along with the pretty horns. He's just overall attractive.

I had a rubber duck sat on my desk with me. I've been addicted to creating the ducks every since my wife, Lilith, left me. It was a way to get her out of my head. Luckily, it worked, but now I've gotten slightly carried away and have a huge collection of them.

I continued to do my work. Every once in a while, I glanced at Y/N. He's kneeling on the floor, nicely organising my ducks. I smiled as I got an idea. I grab a few ducks from my desk and lightly tossed them on the floor beside my desk.

"Y/N? Could you pick these up for me? Im really concentrated on my work, yknow, hard work and..stuff." I say awkwardly. It's not like he could deny, he litrally works for me. I do slightly feel like an asshole. But anything to get Y/N closer to me.

He turns around and nods. He gets off his knees and wonders towards me. I make eye contact with him, never breaking it. I rotate in my spinny chair thing, making him kneel down in front of me. I glance down at Y/N.

Y/N picks up the 3 ducks. Before he gets up, he glances up at me. We both male eye contact and keep it for longer than normal before it gets interrupted by Y/N standing up and organising the ducks in a line on my desk. I could see a faint blush on Y/Ns face as he walked back over to the pile of ducks he was previously organising. I chuckle before awkwardly disguising it into a cough.

"Thanks," I say as I actually get back to my work this time, I did have important work to do. As surprising as that is.

My face was red slightly. That chuckle from Lucifer didn't go unnoticed either. He always does this. He knows I get easily affected by him and therefore teased me a lot.

I continued to organise his ducks. He had all different types. Demon, Angel, black, white, anything you could name, he has a duck version. It was kind of cute, though. Imagining him in his office painting and creating these little ducks. You'd never expect the king of Hell to have an addiction to ducks. It was peculiar.

I whipped my head behind me for a moment to look at Lucifer. His hair was slightly out of place, and his buttoned up shirt slightly creased. You could clearly see the concentration on his face as he stared at the scribbled ink on the paper.

He looked fucking handsome as hell. God, 2 years of having a crush on him drives me insane. I'm never normally this brave, but..I couldn't resist Lucifer any longer. I stand up and straighten my clothing before approaching Luicfer with confidence.

I stand in front of his desk and reach for his collar. I pull his face close to mine. His eyebrows lifted. He was clearly obvious to my feelings.

"What are you doing?" He questions. I smirk and keep his face close to mine.

"I apologise for..how unprofessional this is, sir." I say before clashing our lips together into a passionate kiss. I could physically hear his gasp in surprise. I smile when he starts kissing back. I moved myself to be straddling his lap while he sat on his chair.

We make out for a while, and I have no clue where this confidence came from. But I don't mind. To show Lucifer Karma for teasing me, I grinded on his lap. I hear his groans vibrate on my lips as we make out passionately. He's definitely a power bottom.

Hi! I have always been curious about, why did Homer called Menelaus “beloved by Ares”, when Ares helped to the Trojans? What do you think?

this is MY take on the whole thing:

ares loved the idea of menelaus. what menelaus COULD have been. as the god of war it makes sense for him to initially latch onto menelaus. in black and white terms, he is responsible for this war, it's for HIS wife. so ares is gonna' back him. he wants to support this war-starting, bloodthirsty, violence hungry king.

but that's not menelaus at all.

before the events of the iliad, at the start of the war. menelaus tries to get helen back by like .... talking to the trojans. a rather peaceful method. but they refuse. it's then that the war begins and leads us up to the events of the iliad. menelaus is not ..... for lack of a better phrase .... unnecessarily violent. it would be wrong to say he's not violent as he is seen to be so in the iliad. BUT you can see that some of his kills are from defending others (e.g. the two greek brothers/twins (?) who are killed and menelaus is willing to take on aeneas to avenge them. menelaus wants to spare the trojan until aga gets in his head).

aGAIN. i know as a modern audience people can see violence as violence end of. but in homeric/ancient times. menelaus would have been expected to be MORE violent. these are the people who have taken his wife and he's not going fucking buckwild insane on them. he's very rarely in the battle scenes. he has no aristeia like dio, achilles, patroclus and agamemnon do. and yet its TECHNICALLY his war.

so back to ares. menelaus ISNT what ares wanted him to be or thought he would be. he kills the least???? like???? this is HIS war and yet??? so i think it's possible that menelaus got the epithet BEFORE the events of the iliad and by the time we actually get to the iliad .... ares is sick of him. ares is actively working with the trojans (aeneas for example) cause they are giving him what he wants. bloodshed. violence. lots of actual WAR.

ares likes the idea of what menelaus can become. but he never does. he doesn't change. he doesn't ... get caught up in it all. menelaus actually has moments were he tries to spare the enemy or like actually laments that food, song, love and dance are BETTER than war and men should strive for that instead. and i think that pisses ares off so he abandons him. the gods dont really have strong loyalties like that.

(disclaimer: this is NOT me saying that menelaus is better than everyone else in the war because he doesn't kill as much. it's literally just in the iliad that he doesn't have NEARLY as many kills as others and this is just what ares would want as. yknow. the god of war. okay? im not like 'ares abandoned menelaus cause he was a GOOD guy and went to the trojans cause they were MEAN WAR GUYS' not at all.)

some of the most common prickcest fics i feel like are precanon fics of like young rick from when he was still with diane (theres a lot of young ricks, what are we calling him? wife guy?) and he's cheating on her with prime before he even offers him a portal gun, and i believe ive also seen a few people analysing this scenario, like what if rick actually did know prime before that meeting we see in the show, so i want to add to that by saying that what if that actually happened and yknow how rick reveals to beth in bethic twinstinct that he's also been with other versions of himself, what if beth and space beth reminded him of him and prime and how he was cheating on diane and then he lost her forever at the hands of the man he was having an affair with (at his own hands) :3 and also lost his beth

which is why rick said "remember, its not just your ice cream you're forgetting, it's your family's" or smth. because he forgot his familys ice cream too much, and then he lost them (not that im saying he thinks space beth would do that but also, we dont know.)
