Some new art of a very very old oc of mine! From like, when I was an 8th grader in middle school to freshman in high school I think, I haven’t thought about this character or the world she’s from in like… years, but my brain suddenly remembered she existed! And so I drew some art of her!
Visually, she’s absolutely mostly the result of my child self sticking Toko Fukawa from Danganronpa and Peacock from Skullgirls in a blender and lettin it fuckin rip. Personality wise she’s a bit different tho… she’s into politics! As in,,, she’s in politics ghgh, she’s like the chief of the surveillance department for the country of (mostly) witches that the story takes place in. And one of the advisors to the head ruler witch,,, she sucks! Hardcore! she’s def a villain lol

"steph never faced consequences for her actions" lol. lmao even. "well she never apologized she never made amends she never learned from her mistakes" Buddy the mistakes in question were manufactured in a lab to drive the character into the dirt to punish female fans who liked her. that was the whole Fucking point that was why the arc went the way it did and after a certain point the watsonian explanation falls to pieces bc the characters did those things bc the guy at the typewriter really fucking hates women
just face it ur mad she didnt crawl thru the desert a thousand miles on her knees repenting lmao. if the writers following the misogynistic fridgaganda shitshow that was war games decided to minimize it so they wouldnt have to Yes, And those mean-spirited, sexist, and *stupid* creative choices, why are *you* clinging to them
like i have beef with bgirl 09 too. but Not Fucking More Beef Than I Have With Fucking War Games. some of you people have the dumbest fucking priorities i s2g
anyway. get less obsessed with punishment and makign characters die and go to hell forever and maybeull calm down

Do you have specific fiction authors that you like to read? What aspects of a story make you want to really dig your fingers in it? Is it horror?
I’ve got a couple! Keigo Higashino for sure. anything Naoki Urasawa does: I will be reading it. Priest (Guardian and Mo Du are all time favorites). also KJ Charles and Andrew A Smith!
ngl I don’t really have a concrete list of favorite fiction writers, I spent several days thinking about this one: like, I have favorite books for sure, but I don’t often find myself considering an author to be a favorite just because their book blew my mind. I’ve only read three of Andrew A Smith’s works, but he’s here because he gave an interview years that changed my entire approach to storytelling, and I still revisit it whenever I start editing a story.
honestly the big thing is that I like character!! I like compelling characters (extremely varied definition of compelling, it doesn’t have to be much, but it does have to have something) I like it when something goes full throttle into whatever it wants to be. I’ll watch a slow paced slice of life romance with the same amount of enthusiasm that I had for Devil Judge, and the 1vs10 beat down in Ipman takes up just as much space in my brain as the ‘let’s not see each other from now on,’ breakup in the Heirs (but for extremely different reasons lmao)
however. if I have to pick something more thematically specific: I like seeing people in power get what they have coming to them, I like explorations and confrontations of political and social injustices. kingdom is one of my favorite shows, and the horror is great, but it was the political-class-power aspect of it that solidified it as a memorable watch to me. kamen rider build did something fundamental to the circuitry of my brain. etc.

I’ve always been so afraid to be super into a character/selfship while in an actual relationship and it’s so nice that my partner is absolutely chill with it and pulls up AMVs to make me laugh and will sit here with me going UH UH UH WHAT TOOK YA SO LONG IDIOT back and forth and laughing for several minutes like yeah. Pretty good.

For the "Izuru AUs as the Midnight Crew" thing, no. That's actually the act 4 intermission. oh and what if the Felt were just a buncha mastermind AUs lolz
Oh and
Wait hold on hold on….you telling me that….Homestuck is just…some kids playing homebrewed DnD basically??? And the Midnight sessions are like….their parents playing DnD but the timelines intersect at some point for reasons??? Homestuck is just DnD??? It’s just DnD??!?

not to be a bitch but it's so funny how most henry stans just like. totally ignore everything to do with will as if this show doesn't exist all because henry went after him and refused to let him go. as if will is not his perfect character foil. as if it's not all leading to what happened in the upside down and how the only stories left to learn are those of will and henry. like... . .. ok. this is me, ur resident gatekeeper, officially snatching away their stanning licenses until they pass their necessary continuing education courses aka rewatch the show 🤨

I always find it kind of funny what some other ppl consider "slow burn". Like I've been reading a fic that the writer repeatedly said was slow burn, but some 40k words in and they've had their first kiss...
I'm not complaining, but that just doesn't feel like that slow of a burn to me lmao. But Then Again, this is coming from the person who writes some of the slowest of burns... not the slowest, mind you, but like. In discacc, I'm pretty sure their first kiss happened around... what, 400k words in? Something like that. And they hadn't even officially Met (in person) until like some 70k words in.
And Then there's ITNL. Currently 74k words, and Wolfwood hasn't even officially entered the story yet.
We're in for the long haul, y'all :]
