I think your characterization which kind of goes in hand with your dialogue. I feel like ever characters have an intention behind them you can grasp, even if you don’t know the intention. Their motives and how they feel are easily expressed to the reader but that doesn’t mean your writing doesn’t come without intrigue. (Relationships between characters (not just romantic) also are phenomenal!)
