E: What character do you identify with most?  Is there a certain fic of yours that captures these qualities particularly well?

ough that is SO HARD. i identify a lot with different characters in different ways how am i supposed to pick ;;;;

hnn i think probably, the character i see myself in the most is Wilhelm. there are a lot of aspects of his personality and his life that i relate to so strongly, including parts i think the fandom overlooks quite often like social anxiety vs. general anxiety vs. introversion and i relate to that in the way of like. people mistake my behaviors so often. thinking that they come from one thing when really it's from something else.

(ie. i hard disagree that Wilhelm is introverted or has social anxiety - but he certainly has severe general anxiety. and i feel like those things often get mixed up or mistaken for each other. and for me, i spent a lot of my life being forced into situations that caused me immense levels of anxiety because my social anxiety was mistaken for simply being reluctant bc i was introverted. probably didn't help how much i masked my anxiety rip)

as for my fics that i feel capture the crossover between me and Wilhelm...... i know i always say LVOE. but like probably LVOE.

it's in the feeling of falling in love with every small thing. it's in the way he buries how hurt he is to make the people around him happy, or because he knows that it's what his mother expects of him. it's in the way he's devastated about something but not allowed to show it at all. it's in the way he confides in someone when he finally hits the breaking point, the point where he can't go on, where he's a danger to himself if he doesn't tell someone.

i tried to pull these aspects that i saw in small moments of young royals and tied them to my own emotions about similar things i've been through and experienced. i've said it before, but LVOE. was written without any kind of plan, and almost entirely from the heart. it was just my own thoughts and feelings pouring on to the page.

one of the reasons why i love ToA so much is the little bits and pieces of the gods we get to see.

so i guess this is really more of a 'this is why i love the gods so much' rather than my usual 'this is why i love ToA' post lmao

but fr, the gods are just sooooo much more fleshed out in ToA. they're more complex, and have these layers to them that pjo and hoo just Did Not convey (and really, only conveyed those things post publication of ToA, which came with the tools on how to decode the gods and read between the lines).

and i'm not even talking about Apollo here. he is by far the most fleshed out god we have because he's the pov character, but i also mean all 12 of the other olympians - they're just so juicy!!

like okay, sure, in pjo and hoo we get glimpses that Dionysus may care more than he lets on, but ToA CONFIRMS this, but not in an 'in your face' way - but in the 'Dionysus picks at Apollo like a little brother would' way, and in that FIRST interaction between Apollo and Dionysus, we can SEE what their relationship was like!!

Hermes is another VERY layered god, ESPECIALLY with pjo's context. but that context ONLY gains its own importance BECAUSE of the story ToA gives us - we would NOT have 'resigned to fate' Hermes without it. or embittered at his favorite brother Hermes. we love this Hermes eheheheheheheh

Artemis also gains more character, and is no longer just the stoic cool badass #Girlboss she's largely presented as - she's scared, she fears for Apollo, so much so she SPLITS. she comes RUNNING to help him in TTT as soon as she could, giving her a softer side, while simultaneously expands on her previous appearances and allowing us to see how she is unconsciously enabling the abuse Apollo's experienced. LAYERS !! !! !!

DEMETER. OOOHHH DEMETER ILY, IN MYTHOLOGY AND THE RRVERSE. BUT FOR COMPLETELY DIFFERENT REASONS LMAO

we can infer Demeter has basically shot herself in the foot by obsessing so much over Persephone, where she NEGLETS her other kids (ex: Lityerses, Meg). myth Demeter would NEVER but rrverse Demeter is still a fav BECAUSE of how flawed she is.

ARESSSSS do i even need to say anything. we KNOW Ares and Apollo are bros because of how often Apollo takes pot-shots at him in his dialogue LMAO true brother behavior

Hades is a chill uncle with Apollo in particular. i mean. *gestures* he used to purposefully mess up Apollo's aim when shooting for no reason. need i say more?

looking back i'm also a little intrigued by how little Poseidon was mentioned - perhaps lending credence to the idea that he and Apollo grew apart over the centuries?

also Hestia's position as the goddess of the hearth and home calls into question how passive she is on olympus BECAUSE of the shitshow it's become!! she defends it!! what has caused the hearth and home, the FIRSTBORN OF KRONOS, of the ENTIRE PANTHEON to be so stagnant in the face of this toxic cycle? the people want to know and so do i.

Hephaestus is trickier to pin down for me because he has little mention, but there's one SPECIFIC one that has stuck in my brain and its the "apollo missed an entire decade watching Hephaestus's newton's cradle INSIDE HIS OFFICE"

what was apollo doing in his office. and why did hephaestus - notorious introvert - let him stay in there. these are the questions we are all dying to know.

Aphrodite is arguably a tricky one to pin down too, and honestly we as a fandom have probably taken more from the mythos to pin down her character than with the others, but she's sooooo interesting too!! the eldest olympian. powerful goddess. extremely cunning and ruthless. and yet she's seen as airheaded and vain by practically everyone.

makes you wonder who else is like that. *quick glance at our favorite god* i dunno who that could be. *whistles innocently*

• Honestly, with how engrossed he is during the conversation, it takes him a painfully long while to notice that you have suddenly became so quiet and just stared off into the distance.

• When he does though, it's either half way during the conversation, or long AFTER the gathering.

• It's not that he isn't watching over you or paying attention to you, you know that full well because he has his hand intertwined in yours the whole gathering.

• It's js that, sometimes he gets so excited over seeing his friends after a long time, you can't blame the boy! D:

• When he finds out, he instantly assures you, mumbling a soft "I'm sorry if I made you feel left out. Just tell me next time, okay? I got you."

• He isn't the best at giving assurance, and it's painfully obvious. But give him time, you're his first time in literally everything!!

• What happened during though? This is the scenario :

• It was when the og trio + Alluka had finally decided to meet up after all these days. Killu and Alluka was the most ecstatic to finally meet Gon, and you were too! To finally meet one of your best friends after a long and hard time is a dream come true to the both of you.

• When you four met, everything was amazing at first! You four conversed a lot, and you four caught up. Then it just soon came so suddenly where you were just listening in the conversation, even while making small comments. They both would just give subtle acts of acknowledgement that didn't really feel like you were being acknowledged, y'know?

• Feeling suddenly left out despite having a hand in Killua's hand, you grew quiet and upset. The two of them seemed to be having so much fun talking amongst each other, and that's understandable. Inevitably, they were both closer because they were boys, and it is said that two of the same gender get along easily, that's how you and Alluka got along quickly, after all.

• Speaking of Alluka, she was the one that noticed your sudden distance, she tried to tell her beloved older brother, only to be stopped by said significant other, whispering a gentle and soft : "It's okay, Alluka. Let your brother enjoy."

• Alluka gives you a sad expression and hugs you, what a cutie she is, seriously. You absolutely love each other so much, it was so precious.

• After the interaction and you three were heading back, Alluka marched to her older brother with an angry look and pout, upon noticing this, Killua automatically went into internal panic mode. "Your a big meanie, brother!" She exclaims with a huff, making Killua blink twice in confusion, "Wh- Huh? What do you mean, Alluka?" Killua asked in genuine confusion plastered on his face.

• "You made yn cry!" Alluka exclaimed, COMPLETELY exaggerating your reaction. Face palming when Killua whipped his face to your direction, "I didn't cry, Alluka.." You mumbled in an exasperated manner, removing your hand from your face to look at Alluka. "But you were going to!" "Was not." "Are too!"

• "Can we normalize explaining before making conclusions?! What is happening?!" Killua exclaimed to the two girls before him and whipping his face from Alluka and to you. "You were ignoring yn!" Alluka exclaimed in a straightforward manner, running to you and hugging your waist while giving Killua an upset pout, as if she was the one that was being left out.

• "..Well that's the short story, I guess..? It's- it's nothing. Just felt, dunno, left out when you and Gon were just barely acknowledging me. Could be that I'm just tired so let's just go back.." You hesitantly explained and kept things hidden, mostly because you didn't want to annoy Killua for being so easily saddened. Gently grabbing Alluka's hand, you three silently walked back to the inn you three lived in for a few days.

• Upon arriving back, Alluka headed straight for her bed, leaving you and Killua alone face to face, literally. "I'll uh.. go back to bed now, see you." You mumbled awkwardly, "..sorry, yn." He whispers in a sincere manner, leaving you a bit dumbfounded. "..are you seriously Killua?" You say in a subtle baffled manner, blinking twice, receiving a light-hearted glare from Killua.

• "I didn't think you'd feel that way. Truth be told, I thought you didn't want to be pestered by us, so I just gave you subtle looks.. so I'm sorry, that was on my end, too." Killua mumbles sheepishly, walking towards you and pulling you into a gentle hug. "Clearly, I'm not the best with these, and you can see how stiff and awkward I am.. but be more vocal with it, it's hard to understand someone so quiet like you.. Just tell me next time, okay?" Killua says in a hushed tone, and you reciprocated his hug.

• Breathing in his scent, he smelled like a bed of Gardenias, it was always so comforting. "Thank you, Killua." You softly whispered into his ear and you felt his head nod. "I got you, yn. Always."

• Kurapika is definitely one to notice instantly.

• You CANNOT tell me this man doesn't have some sixth sense when it comes to you.

• He's genuinely so charming whenever he assures you that his intentions aren't to leave you out of the conversation or gathering.

• I think he's very intelligent when it comes to emotions such as distress and saddened emotions, so he takes care of you very well.

• He's a very busy guy so plzplz be patient w him too !!

• But he and I can assure you that he loves you very much and would sacrifice so much for u !!

• This is probably what happened :

• It was probably during one of his missions as a Bounty Hunter. You were with him because, well, you too were a Bounty Hunter, and it's your job!

• But you can't help but feel upset after he dismissed one of your many plans once again because some other member had a plan too, yours was a brilliant plan too!

• After your probably 5th plan being dismissed by your beloved, you had grown silent and decided to just close yourself off and listen. This, was most definitely noticed by Kurapika.

• He faced your awfully distant expression, he knew what was wrong, he just couldn't speak up because you both were doing your job, to successfully do this mission, you both had to pay close attention to the details.

• Evening soon fell upon the Hunters, and the mission came to a commence, and you were both paired up ( As per Kurapika's request, surprisingly. )

• "yn, please tell me what is on your mind." Kurapika gently spoke up, turning to face you as you both walked to your designated location. Snapping out of your hyper-focused trance, you looked at his ever so gentle eyes that made your heart skip a beat.

• "I'm okay, Kurapika." You gave a light-hearted assurance, "There is something weighing your mind, my dear. Please do not be so unkind to yourself and speak what is within your mind.." He ever so softly requests, that vulnerability on his face, the subtle affection and concern hidden in his voice of toughness,

• This all reminded you why you fell in love with Kurapika, the reason why you chose to love each other, because of the very limited times you both show your vulnerable sides, the most sensitive emotions a human can feel.

• "It isn't that serious, Kurapika. It's just that I didn't feel like an equal to everyone after you've quite literally dismissed many of my plans." You explain your feelings in a half hurt and half amusement at how stupid your plans probably are to be dismissed by Kurapika.

• "I see.. I apologize, my dear. My intentions were not to make you feel unimportant, rather to keep your plans as a secret. Your plans are brilliant– extraordinary, even. However I believe that we individually have to discuss it amongst ourselves." Kurapika explains why he was dismissing it, well– more on like being possessive over your knowledge.

• Truth be told, there were some weirdos in the mission you were both in and they had a thing for knowledgeable people, so Kurapika felt heavily possessive over you and ultimately decided to rudely dismiss your plans.

• "Oh.. I see.." You mumbled with a slow nod, blinking twice and looking down, "So.. I didn't sound stupid?" You mumbled, looking for his approval, he softly smiles and nods. "Absolutely not. You have a brilliant mind, my dear. How about we start discussing about your plans? I do wish to know more about the details."

you wonder how your life would have been if you didn't go to that one bar downtown with your friends on a saturday night.

if you would have stayed home or chose to go to a different establishment, you wouldn't be here. you wouldn't be feeling till's silky strands of hair under the pads of your fingers, his breathing regulated in his state of slumber while the sound of raindrops pattering onto your windows slowly lull you into a similar state.

getting to perform at that bar was a milestone for the little band of misfits till is in, at the time. it was a much deeper, sentimental milestone on his part, because in that place he met you.

the rest of your friends were enjoying their drinks, chatting and filling eachother in on the newest events that occured in their personal lives. you weren't excluded, of course not, but at one point you were starting to feel a little bit drained. maybe it was the drinks you downed making a few changes in your system, maybe it's your social battery running low due to the constant socializing.

regardless, it has your mind scrambling to redirect your attention to something else, anything that'll calm you down at least a little bit and prevent you from becoming too overstimulated. the search ends when the voices of all your friends begin to be tuned out, making way for the music that sets the mood in the bar. the tune isn't hyperactive and bass—centered, like the kind you'd hear at a club. but it's not slow and sensual, either.

it piques your interest. you turn your head towards the stage, eyes landing on the live band. you can count four members, despite how far away the stage is from where you're seated — two blondes, one noticeably taller member with jet black hair, and another member with shaggy grey hair who really seems to be giving this performance his all. maybe he's the lead guitarist, you muse to yourself, that sounds about right.

his voice is nice too. he looks a little tense, despite how much he seems to be enjoying himself. odd. maybe that's just what his face looks like, though?

amidst all the eyes on him, till finds himself inexplicably magnetized towards your gaze the moment he feels it boring into him. he isn't one to look at the audience and interact with him much, it makes him nervous. also, he's just here to perform some songs with his band members, that's it. he won't cater to the unnecessary needs of a bunch of people who he will probably never see again.

but the way you look at him? it's hypnotizing. you're sitting at a fully seated table, a handful of what he could only assume are friends around you, and yet you're looking at him. not seeming to enjoy partaking in any conversations anymore.

after staring at till for what he considers to be an endless amount of time, you finally come to the conclusion that he's cute. you never considered rockstars to be your type, but this guy stands out, at least in your opinion. sure, his band members might be cool too, but your sights have been set on him. no one else.

an unexpected surge of determination runs through you. what are the chances that this band is even from here, that you'll come across any of them again at one point in your life? what's the worst that could happen if you decide to be bold and make the first move? there's enough alcohol in your system to give you plenty of courage, anyway. but not enough to get you drunk and rid you of the dreaded feeling called 'embarrassment'.

your friends try to pitch new conversations with you, but all of your responses are short and blunt. you don't even look at them, far too focused on the band, waiting for the moment their last song will end, waiting for the opportunity of pouncing to make itself known to you.

you feel as though a bucket of cold ice water had been dropped on you when each individual member begins to walk off the stage, some briefly interacting with the people that give them a round of applause, some — cough cough, till — not.

not bothering to excuse yourself to your friends, you stand up, eyes frantically scanning the establishment in hopes of spotting till. maybe some higher power is on your side tonight, because lo and behold, after a bit of searching you find him. alone. ordering himself a drink.

it's now or never.

you have never flirted enough with people to know exactly how good you are at it, but apparently your skills are refined enough to get you a rockstar boyfriend. getting a guy like till to willingly hand over his number even though you only know eachother's names after a very short conversation is quite the feat, no?

it's been an entire year since you and till started dating. you hit it off from the start and made it official shortly after. till's band has grown in popularity, they started gaining more fans and have been performing at better locations. you've tagged along to nearly every performance ever since, gaze focused solely on till in the same manner as that first night.

you got to meet his band members too, who are a surprisingly pleasant bunch to be around. not to mention, their reactions when till introduced you to them as his girlfriend were priceless. he got a girlfriend? no less, a really cute one? well, good for him! they're actually very supportive.

till is a good boyfriend. no, good is an understatement. he's just right for you. he has his flaws, like every other human roaming the face of this earth, but he's also sweet, looks out for you, and vice versa.

a content smile settles onto your features as your eyes begin to close, feeling at ease with all of those precious memories flooding your mind, with till sleeping soundly in your arms, knowing that he'll still be there in the morning.

whats interesting is talking to my dual is really making me think about how to compress all of my socionics knowledge to be digestible

heres how i see it

socionics is a system, which means it’s comprised of smaller units that function together at different levels of abstraction. so as an analogy to biological levels of organization, it has different layers like this where they all have unique level-specific interactions.

for socionics, i want to start out at the smallest layer because everything is built on that. here’s how i’d roughly organize it if i were to structure lessons into different parts that built on the previous one:

information elements and their properties

extraverted/introverted (body/field), static/dynamic, explicit/implicit, irrational/rational

structural functions of model A

e.g. blocks (ego, super-ego, super-id, id. mental and vital tracks)

combining these: the model of a single type of information metabolism (TIM) that models the information processing structure of a single type of person

e.g. LII

how TIMs with complementary information processing (dual dyads) operate as a single unit.

e.g. LII-ESE. the extravertization and introvertization of the same thing. oriented at the same intentions, each subconsciously attuned to receiving information in the form naturally produced by the other’s TIM.

multiple dual dyads (each type in a dyad individually operating as two halves of a whole unit) in their ring of socioprogress and information transfer. there are 8 unique TIMs in your ring, half of the total possible configurations.

e.g. IEE-SLI → ESI-LIE → SLE-IEI → LII-ESE → …

the importance of the adjacent dyads in the ring, that underlie supervision and benefit relationships. from the perspective a single dual dyad being supervised / made beneficiary by the previous dyad, to being the supervisor / benefactor for the next dyad.

The thing that sucks about being extremely introverted with a low social battery is that this job has absolutely DRAINED me. Like i was in bed by 8pm the other day. Midnight yesterday. 1030 today.
