Weee last night my partner and I were watching the clone wars and it was an arc that was partially about sowing discord between Anakin and Padmé by stoking his jealousy and there's a part where Obi-Wan comes to his room to talk to him and he's just angrily doing metalwork on some unknown contraption

And idk I liked it because it's always been a hc of mine (or maybe sorta canon but not talked about much?) That when he's upset or needs to blow off steam he takes things apart and puts them back together because that makes SENSE to him, it's always the same, unlike feelings amiright 😂 the only other time I've seen it showcased is in the novelization where he gets frustrated with Ahsoka and picks apart a broken communicator while he thinks about it and aaauugghh

birthdays...can be very difficult and upsetting sometimes. which is super unfortunate because they are supposed to be wonderful, but i also feel like an unnecessary amount of stress/expectation is amassed around the concept of being born, which, to be honest, is miraculous enough to be celebrated everyday!

like honestly? normalize making your birthday any day you want and constantly and consistently celebrating your existence! for example, raven hates his birthday, but does throw a major rager faux bday on halloween every year, so fuck it! we ball! Every Day Is Ur Day, Darling!

My irl friends whomst I love very much, despite the fact they give me gray hairs. (Grey? Gray? Which one is it???)

Plants. The way sun reflects off dewdrops on the grass, the flowers that bloom in spring, the pumpkins that grows in summer, so that they will be ready for fall. The evergreens of winter, where everything is covered in a thick blanket of snow: and my indoor plants, that endure the seasons despite the very real threat of consumption by cat.

Fresh baked goods. Cooking, baking, following recipes. I find it soothing to go through the motions I know by heart. I follow the instructions, it works! I like following instructions haha

I lost someone I didn't know I cared for so much last year. I'm realizing now that when I think about them, I'm not crying as often. I miss them, and may miss them for the rest of my life, but its not all consuming anymore. I think they would have appreciated that. Me moving on, but not forgetting. More bittersweet than happy but eh, it is what it is.

I work in an environment around little girls (keeping it vague for the kids sake, despite how creepy that makes me sound) and they are genuinely the most amazing people I've ever met. I mean seriously, one of them whomst I shall call B. is more self-aware than most adults. She's able to express herself and clearly articulate her strengths and weaknesses, admitting one as easily as the other. Another child, whomst I shall call A. is quieter but so radically accepting. A. had a trans boy go to her summer camps, and she was referring to this boy incorrectly- entirely out of ignorance- though she still finished her story with "and that's okay!". We had one little conversation about the concept of trans people and it wasn't a problem again. A. loves everything and everyone so much, without prejudice. These are two of roughly twenty, all with their own amazing personalities. The only reason I'm still in the environment that these kids inhabit is because I need to be there to make things better for them. Its genuinely one of the strongest motivating factors of my life-- to make things better for them.

Anyways, yeah. Enjoy folks!

omg okay i finally had a moment to send my ask but anyway THE LAST CHAPTER!!!! im actually crying i can’t believe the cardigan series is over 😭 IT MEANS SO MUCH TO ME honestly ive been going through a rough patch in my personal life but it’s been so nice to escape real life and i can only thank you for that seriously!!! like the blue alien brain rot is real and cardigan has somehow satisfied the brain rot plus the romantic abyss in my life heheeh but anyway the last chapter was sooo good!!! as always, your dialogue was beautiful and poetic and so heart clenching. after many tears, you finally have us a WIN!!! i love how you tied up the loose ends for everyone, each character got their own happy ending which was much deserved. the characters didn’t remain stagnant, they all grew in someway and it’s really amazing how you were able to capture that. i fr don’t even think i have enough vocabulary to go into detail on how well of a job you did. like you wrote a whole fucking book that’s incredible!!! i can’t wait to see what you have in the future and honestly you deserve all the followers and love!!!

I can't tell you what it means to be to hear that something I did helped someone through a rough patch, bc that's how i feel about you guys. I've also been struggling a little and your replies and asks are genuinely the things I look forward to the most every day, from the second I open my eyes and go straight to my phone.

I'm so happy you enjoyed the ending, I really wanted to do justice to this whole world and all the characters I have grown to love so much. My sadistic mind felt it was too happy hahahaha, but i think my characters deserved it after everything they went through... and I may or may not be planning some angsty fics already to satisfy my sickness.
