jax
you
It's annoying going from a normal man to a rabbit in a digital world who goes into heat. Jax hates the feeling of always being hard and the urge to hump his pillow as he thinks about someone. You, in your skirts and girly stuff, just thinking about him fucking you drives him crazy. âGod why am I like this?...â he laid on his bed until he heard a knock at his door. âCrapâ he gets out of his bed and tries to make it not noticeable that he was hard. As he opens the door. It's you, âHey Jax! are you coming to the activity today? Caine wants you to!â as he looked you up and down, wearing a skirt and a pink top on. âGod she would look so good with my seed in herâ he thinks as his cock gets even harder and feeling that he could snap at any moment.
Jax sighed "ugh fine I guess..." jax walked behind you as he was in his thoughts thinking about you of course. After the activity he started to walk back to his room trying to get away from people before they noticed something was wrong. "Jax wait up!" ad Y/N rushed next to him. "what do you want Y/N?" Jax looked down at you "Well wanna come to my room? I have a new outfit and I need your opinion" Jax looked away for a sec "ugh fine only for a second" Y/N then walked to her room happily with Jax trailing behind her
after she got her outfit on and showed him, "um you look good I guess....but um I need a favor from you" you looked up "yes Jax?" as he looked up at you "i-i need you doll, look what y-your doing to me.â You blushed as you can see his bulge through his pants "Jax....are you saying you want to do...it?" Jax blushed and looked away âyes....pleaseâ..... Jax pleaded until you nodded to help him with his heat, since you did like him. Jax got up and pushed you on your bed.
He was breathing heavily and reached up your shirt to feel your breasts. You yelped as he squeezed. âHha jax-â he attacked your neck with kisses and bites leaving a bunch of hickeys that you would have to hide from the others. "@#$! Y/N you're so pretty with those hickeys on you. Now they will know that you're mine ." he then took off your skirt and panties and shoved a finger inside you "hah jax~" you moaned out his name and he then added another finger then you moaned as Jax bite your inner thigh leaving it bruised but not hard enough to break the skin. hearing you moan made his cock twitch in his pants as they began to be very tight around his cock as it was throbbing from not having attention. you felt knots in your stomach about to burst until he took out his fingers "h-huh? Jax?". as you looked at him in disappointment "can't have you cum yet doll~"
he then took off his overalls and stroked his cock a few times to get it ready to enter your cunt " you know how long I've been wanting to do this" as he lined up his tip at your wet folds. âLooks like it will be a tight fitâŠ..you can take it though right? â then his hips began to push forward as his tip harshly made its way past your walls. âHhhaâŠitsâŠhugeâŠjax-âÂ
âf-$#@â as he began to slam his hips forward âlook what your doing to me dollâŠâ as he was pounding into you. Already feeling ready to cum into your pretty cunt. He went down and sucked on your tits leaving bite marks all over your chest "god your so p-pretty when you moan my name" As he continued to pound into you as knots were increasing in your stomach about to burst. âJ-jax im about t-to- '' you were interrupted by you moaning as you released your orgasim and jax still kept going until he started to get sloppy notifying you that he was super close. âG-goddamnâŠy/n i-im about to cumâ as he finally slammed into you as he released all his warm cum into your tight cunt, filling you up. Then he got off you and laid next to you. âGeez doll you made me feel so much better for now heh.â you turned over to look at him âi didn't know you could go in heat. Or had a thing for breedingâ he looked away âyeahâŠ.maybe you can help me for nowâ as he smirks at you. Jax pulled the covers on top of you ad him and cuddledÂ
.
.
.
Kinger bursted into the room âJAX Have you see-.â as he just stares then slowly turns around. âoh um...i'llâŠ.justâŠgoâŠ..â
.
.
.
A/N: Thanks for the request! I know it might be a little crappy but its my first time writing so! I hope it's good:) have a good day/morning/night.!!!!!!

By the end of avatar it's pretty clear that the gaang have no problem with/are friends with mai (suki playing pai sho with her, katara watching, sokka including her in his picture) so I was wondering how you think mai and the gaang's relationship developed from the coronation to the end scene
âThis is Mai,â Zuko said. âMy girlfriend.â
The room was quiet enough to hear a pin drop.
Right. Mai kind of wanted to die. They were just⊠staring at her. She hadnât expected a positive reaction, by any means, but no reaction at allâŠ? Ugh. Little was worse.
âItâs nice to officially meet you!â Aang said, giving her a bright smile. The rest of the group followed with tentative waves and a few nods in her general direction.
The awkwardness might have gone on another five minutes if she and Zuko hadnât been asked for by an advisor, cutting her introduction short. Well, Zuko had been asked for, and heâd slipped his hand into hers before pulling her along. So she hadnât been given much say in the matter.
âTheyâll come around,â Zuko told her later, when they were lying in bed. âYouâll see.â He chuckled, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. âThey took me in, after all.â
Mai wanted to believe him. âIf you say so.â
Sokka was first.
Mai saw him struggling to walk down the steps of the palace, awkwardly attempting to maneuver his crutches but wincing every time his injured leg hit the ground.
âLet me help,â she offered, lifting his arm around her shoulders to help take the weight off his foot. Perhaps she should have waited for him to give confirmation, but in some ways Sokka reminded her of Zuko - rarely willing to accept assistance, even when he needed it. He let her take his crutches, though, and she interpreted that as a sign of silent cooperation.
Sokka gave her a crooked grin when theyâd reached the foot of the steps. âThanks.â
She nodded curtly, returning his crutches to him. âIt was no trouble.â She turned to walk away, but stiffened and stopped in her tracks as Sokka placed a hand on her shoulder.
âI, uh⊠This is kind of random, but I just wanted to tell you how grateful I am for - for what you did at the Boiling Rock.â Sokka cleared his throat. âFor saving us. Me. My dad. Suki. Zuko.â
Mai winced at the memory. The despair, the rage Azulaâs eyes. The paralyzing fear that had ripped through her chest when sheâd watched her friend - if Azula could ever be called that - drop into her lightning stance. And yetâŠ
Sheâd do it again. A hundred times.
âI donât think you should be thanking me for doing the right thing,â Mai said as she slowly turned around. âFor doing the bare minimum, really.â
Sokka laughed. âMaybe youâre right. But from what Iâve heard, treason against the Fire Nation isnât usually considered the bare minimum.â He hesitated, then offered her a grateful smile. âI mean it, though. If you hadnât saved usâŠâ Something akin to grief flickered in his eyes. An expression that was a little more raw, a little more tired. âI canât lose anyone else,â he finally said. âSo thank you, Mai.â
Mai stared at him in perhaps more shock than was necessary, because Sokka laughed again.
âCan I hug you?â he asked. âItâs kind of an official thing to dub you as part of my friend group.â
Mai hesitated, but nodded, and Sokka shuffled forward to pull her into a brief, tight embrace that Mai was surprised to find herself returning.
âI wouldnât have pegged you as a hugger,â she said after releasing him.
Sokka chuckled. âFor a long time, I guess I wasnât.â He winked at her. âBut things change, right?â
She supposed they did.
Aang was second.
Mai wondered, perhaps, if he would have been first, had his duties as the Avatar not taken up so much of his time, especially in those first days after the war had formally ended.
âHi, Mai!â Aang said cheerily, waving at her from atop his bison. âWant to take a ride on Appa with me?â
Mai glanced around her, as if someone else named Mai would appear from behind a pillar to take him up on his offer. When none did, she responded with a hesitant nod.
She wished Zuko was there.
âDo you need help getting up?â Aang asked as she walked towards him, pausing when she reached Appaâs side. âI can provide a boost if you need it.â
Mai raised an eyebrow at him, a smirk unwittingly inching onto her lips. âCould you provide a boost even if I donât need it?â
Aang returned her smirk with a wide grin. âYour wish is my command, Lady Mai.â
Mai was mortified to admit that a startled yelp escaped her lips as Aang airbended her up and onto Appaâs saddle, but he didnât comment on it. She supposed he was probably used to that sort of sound being an instinctive reaction.
âReady?â Aang asked. He didnât wait for her to respond before gently snapping the bisonâs reins. âYip yip, Appa!â
He reminded her of Ty Lee in that respect - never waiting for an answer unless one was truly required.
Appa roared and took off into the sky. Mai kept her eyes squeezed shut for longer than sheâd care to admit.
After the initial anxiety of flying higher than she ever had in her life faded, Mai found herself relaxing into her seat on the saddle, one elbow resting comfortably on the edge. Aang chattered aimlessly about post-war plans, and Mai commented every now and then if his ramblings had to do with Zuko. It was⊠strange. Everything about Aang caused a tiny smile to rest perpetually on her face.
No wonder her boyfriend was so fond of him.
âWanna go higher?â Aang offered at one point, an excited twinkle in his eyes.
Mai didnât respond at first, staring upwards at the endless pink sky. âCan you take me into the clouds?â she finally asked.
Aang laughed. âLetâs find out!â
Katara was third.
âI told you, Zuko canât see anyone right now!â
Mai paused upon hearing the irritation that drenched Kataraâs voice. Sheâd just turned the corner into the hallway that Zukoâs room was off of, and, trusting her better judgement, chose to hang back.
Katara was staring down a tall man in formal robes - oh. Ew. Mai recognized him as one of Zukoâs more annoying advisors. Her boyfriend hated the man, too.
âKata-â
âMaster Katara.â She glared at the noble, and respect bubbled in Maiâs chest.
âMaster Katara.â Mai relished in the discomfort of the manâs tone. âI understand that you wish to allow the Fire Lord as much rest as possible, but he has responsibilities he cannot abandon -â
âZuko canât fulfill those responsibilities immediately after a healing session!â Katara snapped. âHow would you like if someone bandaged your broken arm and expected you to lift weights afterwards?â
The advisor stared at her in confusion. âBut my arm isnât broken.â
Katara placed her hand atop the flask that rested on her hip. âNot yet.â
Mai bit her tongue to stop herself from laughing as blood drained from the manâs face. He gave Katara a hasty apology and took his leave.
That interaction had certainly raised her spirits.
But no visitorsâŠ
Maiâs grip tightened on the ceramic plate in her hands. The cup of tea resting atop it quivered. If Katara said Zuko wasnât seeing anyone at the time, then she would respect that decision. She was no exception to the rules just because Zuko was her boyfriend.
Besides, Zuko was probably fine. She didnât need to check on him, she was just letting her worries get the best of her again -
âMai?â
Mai blinked upon hearing her name called. Blood rushed to her cheeks when she realized it was Katara who had spoken. âYes?â
Katara gave her a warm smile, gesturing towards the plate in her hands. âIs that for Zuko?â
Mai hesitated, but nodded. âTea,â she explained briefly. âI⊠tried to make it like Iroh does.â She took a step backwards. âBut I can bring it back later, after more time has passed -â
Katara laughed, waving her hand dismissively. âMai. Zuko would never forgive me if I didnât let you in.â She tilted her head. âBesides. You know youâre always welcome.â
Maiâs grip on the plate slackened, and she found herself returning Kataraâs smile.
Toph was fourth.
âMai! Spar with me!â
Mai was startled by the sudden interruption, though years of practice prevented her from showing it. âWhy?â Sheâd never been the earthbenderâs go-to partner before.
âBecause knives are made of metal,â Toph said, as if it should have been obvious. âI want to see if I can bend projectiles mid-air. Or at least better detect the path theyâll follow so I can earthbend a wall to block them.â
Mai raised an eyebrow. âAnd why would I agree to let you bend my knives?â
Toph grinned at her. âWho said anything about using yours?â
Maiâs eyes widened as Toph procured a large box from behind her back.
âWeâll practice with these. Donât ask where I got them.â
Mai accepted the box from Toph, unable to stop the sharp gasp that escaped her lips as she admired the assortment of blades. âAlright,â she finally said, picking out a set of steel kunai. âIâll spar with you. On one condition.â
âName it.â
Mai spun one of the knives around her index finger. âLet me keep some of these when weâre done.â
Toph burst out laughing. âOh, I knew Iâd like you.â She smirked at Mai. âYouâve got yourself a deal.â
Suki was last.
Theyâd run into each other. Literally. Mai spilled all the papers sheâd been holding, and Suki had immediately apologized before offering to help her sort back through them. Sheâd almost turned the girl down, butâŠ
âI havenât seen you much,â Mai commented as they were putting the documents into piles based on their contents. âCompared to the rest of Zukoâs friends, I mean.â
Suki shrugged. âIâve been spending most of my time with Sokka and the Kyoshi warriors. Weâre thinking about heading back home soon.â
Mai nodded. She placed a document about the differences between crowning a Fire Lord and a Fire Lady in its appropriate stack. She hesitated, then asked, âDoes⊠Do you know if Ty Lee plans to go with you?â
Suki blew air out her lips. âIâm not sure. Sometimes I think she wants nothing more than to get out of the Fire Nation, but there are other days where⊠where I donât think she can imagine leaving you and Zuko behind.â
Maiâs heart seized in her chest. Spirits, she needed to talk to her friend. New responsibilities after the war had kept them apart more days of the week than Mai liked. âI see.â
Suki offered her a sympathetic smile. âSorry I canât be more specific. I think I justâ - she shook her head - âI donât know Ty Lee well enough yet to read her and her feelings. The other girls had a chance to connect with her in prison, but Iâd already escaped the Boiling Rock and was on the run with Sokka at that point, so I just⊠donât have the same level of experience with her yet.â
Mai clenched the scroll in her hand so tightly she was half-concerned sheâd tear a hole through it. âSpeaking of prisonsâŠâ She licked her lips, her mouth having suddenly gone dry. âI⊠I wanted to apologize,â she continued after a momentary pause. Mai didnât like how her voice had dropped close to a whisper.
Suki tilted her head in confusion, though there was a keen recognition in her eyes that made Mai wonder if she was merely feigning puzzlement. âWhat do you mean?â
âI attacked you and your - your kinswomen. When you were protecting Appa.â Mai smoothed the scroll across the table before placing it in its appropriate stack. She didnât dare meet the warriorâs eyes. âWe got you arrested and sent to the Boiling Rock. And - I know an apology doesnât make up for that, butâŠâ She forced herself to look upwards. There was no bitterness, no resentment in Sukiâs gaze. It was kinder than she deserved. âIâm sorry. I donât deserve or expect your forgiveness, but - Iâm sorry.â
Mai had hurt Suki the most among Zukoâs new friends. There was no changing that. And she knew she would never be able to make up for the months in isolation the girl had endured, either, no matter what she did. No matter how much she wanted to. Wished she could.
Mai didnât blame her for staying silent.
Then Suki sighed, unfurling the paper in her hands. âI had mixed feelings about you. For a long time.â She skimmed something on the scroll before placing it aside. âOn the one hand, you put me in prison. On the otherâŠâ She gave Mai a tentative smile. âYou freed me from it.â
Maiâs heart skipped a beat. âThat doesnât make it fair -â
Suki laughed, cutting her off. âAt this point, I donât think âfairâ exists. Not after what all of us have been through.â She tucked her hair behind her ear. âBut like I said. I had mixed feelings about you.â She gave Mai a soft smile. âI know how Sokka thinks youâre the funniest person to walk the Earth since his father. How Katara lets you visit Zuko after their healing sessions, even though sheâs probably not supposed to. And spirits, Mai, the way Zuko looks at youâŠâ She shook her head, winking at her. âYou won my friends over a long time ago. It was only a matter of time before you won me over, too.â
An unfamiliar warmth settled in Maiâs chest, and a tentative smile inched onto her lips. âThank you.â
Suki waved her hand dismissively. âDonât mention it. And with you around, at least I wonât be the only sane person in our group anymore.â
Mai snorted, recalling an earlier incident of Sokka daring Zuko to eat raw tart batter while Toph egged them on. âEggedâ in two ways - both very different, but both equally frustrating. âWill that really make much of a difference?â
Suki snickered. âMaybe not for them, butâŠâ She handed Mai a scroll to be placed on a stack too far for her to reach. âI think Iâll appreciate the company.â
Mai accepted the paper, and she smiled at Suki. âI think I will, too.â She placed the smoothed-out scroll in its appropriate pile. âCare to join me for a game of Pai Sho later?â
âOh, count me in! That sounds like a great cooldown.â
Well⊠Mai wouldnât describe Pai Sho in exactly that fashion. But she figured Suki would learn that on her own time, and chose not to comment. âI look forward to it.â
That night, Mai slipped into Zukoâs bedchambers under the cover of darkness, as sheâd been inclined to do ever since his return to the Fire Nation. Zukoâs eyes lit up upon seeing her, and he moved to make room for her beside him on his bed. She sat down, and rolled her eyes but didnât protest as Zuko wrapped his arms around her waist to pull her into his lap.
âDid you have a good day?â he asked, nuzzling his face into the back of her neck. He asked her the same question every night, and every night she told him the same answer - no. Then sheâd gripe about whatever little thing had irked her over the course of the day. It was foolish, yet cathartic, and she knew Zuko didnât mind. He probably found it entertaining.
âYou know what?â Mai mused, thinking back to the mixture of glee and exasperation that had crossed Sukiâs face numerous times during their earlier Pai Sho game. âI think I did.â
Zuko raised an eyebrow. âWow. What happened?â
Mai shrugged. Five faces floated through her mind, all people sheâd grown to care for over the past few weeks. People whoâd grown to care for her in return. âNothing special. Just⊠spent a little time with some new friends.â
Zuko chuckled, and she had a feeling he knew exactly the people she was referring to. âIâm glad to hear it.â He pressed a kiss to the nape of her neck. âDonât kill me, butâŠâ She didnât need to turn around to know he was smirking. âI told you theyâd come around.â
Mai groaned. âOh, shut up.â
âMake me?â
She sighed, turning around so she could properly face her boyfriend. âI guess I donât have a choice, do I?â
(Mai made sure to silence him before he could answer.)

also thank you everyone for your support on this series. when my friends and I conjured this up, I never thought I would be at the point where I get to share peoples art/paylists/etc. I'm so thankful for all of you.
okay I'll stop crying. happy reading and have a great week! :)
The sun beat down against your skin, your mind drifting to whether or not you should apply more sunscreen. Karl jumped into the light blue water in front of you, the water splashing out to almost completely soak you. You frowned at him as he came up for air, blowing you a kiss mockingly.
Sapnapâs cousins started tackling Karl, the chorus of laughter echoing around the pool. You stretched your legs out beneath the table, leaning into the shade of the umbrella as you watched them roughhouse.
Sapnap came out from the pool house, opening a beer bottle for you before taking the seat beside you. He sighed, buttoning the top of his shirt as he watched the boys. âDid you have a good time at the party yesterday? I dipped after an hour,â he asked, pushing his sunglasses to rest on top of his head.
You shrugged slightly, taking a sip of your drink. You couldnât wait to tell your roommate how lavishly youâd been living. The fact that you were lounging by a heated pool, drinking beer from Copenhagen with the sons of millionaires was nearly mind-boggling to you.
You wet your lips, squinting your eyes as you looked at him. âI honestly have no idea. I was kind of just there as a Karl accessory,â you joked, making him chuckle softly.
âYeah, I get that,â he flipped off one of the cousins as they threatened to throw water at him. âItâs always the Karl show around here,â he added. You raised your eyebrows at him and he backtracked. âI didnât mean that in a bad way. Heâs a good guy; everyoneâs just obsessed with him.â
You nodded slightly. âYeah, heâs definitely the star baby,â you joked, making him laugh. âI need to ask youâŠâ You bit your lip voice trailing off as you searched for the night words.
He sent you a closed-mouth smile. âAbout my mom and Karl?â He asked, biting back a blithe expression. It shocked you how calm he was about the situation.
You chuckled nervously. âI swear I wonât bring it up again, Iâm just,â you cut yourself off, unable to describe the question marks pulsing through your thoughts.
He snorted, taking a sip of his drink. âI know right,â he reassured. âWhen I found out, I almost broke Karlâs nose,â he chided. âNot that I was like⊠angry it was my mom but out of how weird it was.â
âYeah it is really fucking weird,â you agreed, laughing slightly.
He gestured as if to thank you for understanding. âI mean, Karlâs a great guy. He was my best friend for a long time butâŠâ He made a face suggesting his discomfort and you snicked. âThatâs my mom, man.â You giggled wholeheartedly at this, making him laugh too.
âWhat are you guys talking about?â Karl asked, seemingly appearing out of nowhere, dripping wet from his pool time adventures.
âSpeak of the Devil and he shall appear,â you joked, making Sapnap wink at you. âTacitusâ Annals,â you answered, making Sapnap nod at you.
He chewed on his lip, with a calm expression as he supported your lie. âI was telling your girlfriend how much I enjoyed his love of Nero,â he continued, you bit back a smile.
Karl ruffled his hair out in a towel. âCome on now,â he grumbled, calling the two of you on your bullshit.
Sapnap squinted as he looked up at him. âKarl supremacy. As always,â he answered with a touch of quiet sarcasm, making Karl roll his eyes playfully as he took to the other seat beside you.
Karl ran his fingers into his hair. âYou wanna get matching tattoos together, Sapnap?â He quipped; Sapnap sending him a smug expression.
âWhy? What were you thinking?â He asked, knowing he was walking into whatever Karl was setting up.
Karl pulled the leg of his swim trunks off his leg a bit, furrowing his brows. âI wanna get your momâs name on the top of my thigh,â he teased, biting his lip. You rolled your eyes playfully.
Sapnap let out a sarcastic laugh. âOh my God, thatâs so funny. I totally didnât see that coming.â
Karl took a sip of your beer and you spoke up. âI think youâd look good with a tattoo, Sapnap. All jokes aside, youâve got a great body,â you mused, sending him a wink. Sapnap bit back a smile looking at Karl, who you could already tell was glaring back at him. âSide note, I was meaning to ask you. Thereâs a guy thatâs in Karlâs frat,â you paused, trying to remember what Karl had said Toddâs real name was when you were pinning his auction number on him.
Sapnap raised his eyebrows. âOh, Mark?â
You pointed at him. âYes, the fake Romney.â
Sapnap snorted. âHe did that on campus too?â Karl nodded, a look of disappointment spreading across their faces.
âSpeaking of Todd Mark, the king of the Brickâ Karl kicked his feet beneath your chair before continuing, âI heard thereâs a bonfire tonight,â he probed, making Sapnap slowly shake his head in disapproval.
You raised an eyebrow at the two. âWhatâs the Brick?â
Sapnap seemed to have already made up his mind on the situation. âA fucking cesspool,â Sapnap grumbled, sipping from his bottle as Karl tsked. Sapnap tilted his head. âYou really wanna take her to the Brick? People get together and smoke crack over there. The fact that,â he paused to furrow his brows at you slightly, âTodd Mark? is the benefactor should say something,â he stated, lips curling into an uneasy expression.
You peered over your shoulder at Karl as if to ask if he were crazy. Karl swatted off your gesture. âThey donât smoke crack this time of year. All the locals are back visiting for break.â
Sapnap shook his head again in unease. You chewed your lip, leaning back in your chair. âI donât know⊠Sapnap, do you wanna have a movie night instead?â You joked, making Karl sigh behind you.
Sapnap mimicked your mock severity. âYeah, a stay in and cuddle?â
âOf course,â you repeated.
Karl wheezed. âNo, weâre going.â
Without missing a beat, Sapnap chimed back. âMaybe you can take my mom instead?â Karlâs expression flattened at his words and you nodded, high fiving Sapnap in mock victory.
Despite Sapnapâs hesitation, you all went to what they referred to as The Brick. In reality, it was a spot on the edge of a lake. They only called it the Brick because of Toddâs dad, a racecar driver who claimed the post back when he was in high school and later bought it. A large bonfire burned in the center of the space, various people around your age and a bit younger were either dancing to the music coming from one of the souped-up sports cars or shotgunning beers. You pushed away the thought of your stingy fire marshall back home whoâmore than onceâhad reported you and your family for âoveractive cookouts.â
âOveractive,â meaning your dad and Clay were failing at not catching hotdogs on fire when the two would get lost in a chat about a mutual videogame when the families would cross the fence line in the summer.
As soon as you had stepped foot on the gravel, Karl was welcomed back like some kind of celebrity, so you stayed close to Sapnap. He would lean towards your height, pointing people out that Karl had mentioned in the past or those worth noting. You nodded along, soaking in what he had to tell you and laughing at his jokes.
A random guy strolled past the two of you, making Sapnap purse his lips. âHey, Sapnap. Howâs your mom?â One of the countless jokes thrown at him since youâd arrived.
He tilted his head with a mock look of questioning. âDidnât your parents just get divorced, Jeff?â He deflected. Jeffâs face dropped slightly as he moved on. You always found yourself struggling not to laugh at how well Sapnap was at counteracting the jabs at his mom and Karl. Most of you felt guilty for how long he had dealt with it.
Karl watched you carefully as you sat down beside Sapnap on one of the vast benches; hands shoved in his pockets as the group around him caught up. You were glad to have someone around like Sapnap, despite the fact that you often went to parties. In the past, it was more of a bi-annual thing, but since being with Karl, you found yourself shoulder to shoulder with nameless people in a line doing shots every other Thursday.
You laughed as Sapnap joked about avoiding the drinks at the Brick because of the mites in the water and the STDs in the beer. âSo, I never asked how you met Karl?â He queried, sticking his hands into the pocket of his Baja hoodie.
You smiled slightly. âUhâŠâ Shameless thoughts of you on your knees in a random building when you barely knew his name paced through your head like a quickfire of serotonin. âWe had a lecture together and he liked my handwriting.â Sapnap smirked, chuckling slightly at your words.
Karlâs eyes were trained on the two of you, demeanor shifting each time one of you leaned towards the other to hear over the music or the two of you bumping each otherâs arms to grab your attention. You knew he wasnât jealous, but his look of curiosity was almost hilarious to you. Sapnap stuck by your side while Karl introduced you to his friends. He was basically your encyclopedia on the newer people as Karl would go off on a tangent with them.
The fact that Karl was so close to all of them and was so popular made your heart swell with pride. You were used to Karlâs deadpanned glares at most of his frat brothers and his snide comments, but now he was welcomed back like he was some kind of hero returning from the war.
After saying goodbye to Sapnap for the day, you threaded your fingers with Karlâs, enjoying the time where it was just the two of you. He brought the back of your hand to his lips, smoothing a kiss against your skin. âSo⊠Sapnapâs momâŠâ you began, making him chew the inside of his cheek. âWhere⊠did it happen?â
He looked down at you with a perked eyebrow before raising his sights forward, pulling you off the street where the two of you were walking. You followed him as the pair of you snuck through between the houses and across the backyards until the two of you were at Sapnapâs house again. Through the front windows, you could see him talking to his sibling in the kitchen.
Karl grabbed your hand, leading you along the side of the estate and toward the pool house. You wanted to groan at the thought before he pulled you through the door with him. âAre you serious?â You hissed, looking around at the dark place. Karl fought not to smirk as he peered out through one of the windows, watching the lights in Sapnapâs house turn out.
The moonlight streamed through one of the slender windows, illuminating his face and washing his features clean. Your gaze trailed along his arms; his tattoos peeking out from beneath his hoodie as he reached up to lock the door.
He turned back to face you, walking closer to you. âDid you have fun today?â He asked, plopping down on one of the couches and pulling you into his lap. He moved your arms to rest around his neck, pressing his lips to your skin. âI feel like I didnât see you at all. Sapnapâs a bogart,â he muttered jokingly, settling his hands on your hips.
You scoffed before leaning toward him, pressing your lips against his. âMake it up to me,â you murmured, raking your fingers into his hair. âI think I selfishly need you to ruin me here; you know. Like a cleansing of you and Ms. Scarlet,â you chided.
He bit his lip, eyes pulsing with lust as he fought not to grin. You pressed your lips against his, turning to lay back on the couch and yank him on top of you. He chuckled into your kiss, as your hands moved to curl into his hair. His lust was a taste you could get drunk off if given the chance as his hands traveled the length of your body, moaning as you ground your hips against his, gripping into his clothes.
He leaned off of you momentarily to pull his shirt over his head as you slipped out of yours, you wrapped a leg around him, pushing him onto the couch instead and pinning him between your thighs as you straddled him, running your hands up his tattooed chest and connecting your lips again.
One of his large hands covered your breast as you began to grind your hips against his. His teeth grazed against your skin as he caressed your body while you moved against him, trying to create as much friction as you could against his jeans. He ran his fingers along the hem of your underwear, his lips curling into a smirk as he moved slightly to get a better look. "These are nice. Did you plan this?" He leered, snapping the elastic against your hip playfully. You rolled your eyes, pulling his chin towards you and pressing your lips against his. Every movement of his body seemed to lick at the fire deep within you.
You smirked breathlessly as his lips settled against your collarbones. âThese are my church clothes. I had no other motive,â you jousted. His hand reached up to rest against your collarbone, his fingers lightly curling around your neck.
âOf course, how could I not realize,â he jabbed, pressing his lips and tongue against your neck. You moaned, tugging at his zipper before wrapping your hand around his cock, pumping him into harder arousal. He groaned against your neck, bucking into your hand lightly. His head tilted back against the couch beneath you, cheeks flushed at the attention. His teeth nipped at your skin as you ground yourself against his thigh, basking in his noises of pleasure.
His cock pulsed in your hand, making him grab your wrist and pull you beneath him. He gripped one of your legs, resting it in the crook of his elbow as he pushed himself into you, connecting your lips to swallow your moans. The feeling of him inside of you sent a wave of pleasure through your body. His voice was low in your ear, murmuring your name as if it were a curse. You moaned as he took one of your hands, lacing your fingers together beside your head as he kissed you again, tongue slipping into your mouth.
His thrusts became more rhythmless, his hold on you driving him deeper as the pool house filled with the noises of your whimpering moans. Karlâs breath was warm on your neck as he took advantage of your submissive state. He moved his hand from around your leg, wrapping his fingers around your neck again. Your body shivered, waiting for the pressure of his hand as his hips rocked against yours.
He chuckled darkly, teeth grazing against your shoulder before his lips hovered beside your ear. âBeg for it,â he commented, voice strained as he thrusted into you.
You swallowed, fingers digging into his back. âChoke me,â you groaned, âplease.â His hand tightened around your neck, breath hitching in your throat as his thrusts became rougher. He bit back a smug grin at the way you reacted to his antics, relishing in your body beginning for more.
He relaxed his hand, pressing his lips to yours as you struggled to inhale. Heat ran through your body as your leg curled around his waist, nails raking down his back.
You leaned away from his lips, voice coming out unevenly as you moaned his name. His movements became sloppier as you groaned in bliss, tugging the flesh of his bottom lip between your teeth. You tipped your head back slightly as you reached your climax, riding out your pleasure and sending him over the edge as he pulled you closer to him, his hands digging into your hips as he encouraged you to continue grinding against him. You exhaled deeply, pressing your lips against his neck and his cheek before kissing him breathlessly as your movements slowed.
You pulled on your shirt, Karlâs hands moving to rest on your hips as he pressed a kiss to your neck. âShould we leave a note for Ms. Scarlet?â You joked, making him chuckle as his arms wrapped further around your waist, cheek pressing against your shoulder.
âWho?â He teased.

tavern music
synopsis: corpse hears tavern music coming from your room (gn!reader)
warnings: rpf, reader gets cheated on, kind of unrequited feelings, mostly hurt/comfort and physical affection tho (what im trying to say is that this is mostly self indulgent)
wc: 1.7k
a/n: havent written in a while but i found this in my arsenal, fixed it up a bit and viola. original plans for this was definitely something longer that would end with them being together but im not up for writing rn. been feeling really shitty lately and ive been needing something like this in my life. hope u guys like it âĄ
He couldnât hear it at first. His headset was on and everyone was being so loud on the discord call. When he started the stream, he really thought it was gonna be a long one. But heâs only two hours in and heâs ready to get the hell off because something was definitely wrong.
âCorpse?â His name being spoken finally broke him out of his trance, he only hummed in response. âYouâve been really quiet. Are you sure youâre up for another game?â
âActually,â he starts as he closes a few tabs, âI think Iâve gotta go. Today was fun, though. Thanks for having me guys.â
After a chorus of âgoodbyeâs and âsee you laterâs, Corpse disconnected from the discord call. âThank you guys for being here,â he addressed the chat, âsorry Iâm ending so early today. I promise Iâll make it up to you next time. Take care of yourselves. Later.â
After hanging up his headset and getting out of the chair heâs been sitting in for far too long, Corpse made the short trek to your room.Â
You had only been roommates for less than four months, but Corpse could confidently say that you have become one of his closest friends. Getting a roommate was the last resort that he never wanted to actually resort to. But alas, medical bills were piling up and youtube and music donât make half as much money as people think they do. So cutting rent in half was the best plan he could come up with. He did have an extra guest room that no one ever stayed in. Of course having someone move into his personal space was terrifying to him. He didnât just want to post an ad on craigslist or something. So he asked a couple trusted friends to ask a couple trusted friends⊠And thatâs when you came in.
You were the trusted friend of a trusted friend of a trusted friend. When you met, you didnât make a comment about his voice. Your face sure as hell showed your surprise but you didnât say anything. To Corpse, this meant one of two things. You either knew who he was but didnât want to freak him out, or you didnât know about his online persona and were just genuinely shocked by his voice. It only took a few minutes of knowing you to know that it was the latter. Thank god. You were like anyone your age with social media. You had a few accounts, followed a few people, but mostly used it to stay in contact with friends.Â
It only took you guys a week to realize you had way too much in common. After many a late night when he wasnât streaming, and many an early morning when he was just done streaming, you two became inseparable. Nothing could keep you apart.
Except for one thing.
You had a boyfriend.
There was nothing wrong with your boyfriend, per se. Just the fact that he was your boyfriend and Corpse was not.Â
Yeah, Corpse definitely had feelings for you.Â
But right now, feelings didnât matter when he could hear tavern music coming from your room.
He knocked lightly and pushed the door open slowly. ây/n? Can I come in?â
No response came, just sniffles and sobs. The lack of refusal on your part gave him the courage he needed to open the door wider and step into your room. He had only been in your room a couple of times since you had moved in. But he had never been in a room that gave off the feeling of a person so well.
You were curled up on your bed, facing your open laptop screen and the tavern music coming from its speakers. With every sob shaking your chest, Corpse felt his heart break. ây/n,â he murmured softly, âwhatâs wrong?â
âItâs not working.â Came your reply, heavy with tears. âYou said it would make you feel like you're going on an adventure but I still feel like crap.â
âWhat happened?â Corpse asked as he sat down on your bed, facing you. You slowly sat up and crossed your legs at your ankles in front of you.
âHe-â You sighed heavily. âHe cheated on me.â
âWhat?â
âHe cheated on me -has been cheating on me- with my best friend. My little brother found out.â You groaned and dramatically dropped your head onto Corpseâs thigh. His hand immediately came in contact with your cheek as he brushed a few stray tears away.
There was rarely any physical contact between you and Corpse. Sometimes youâd give him a high five, sometimes heâd give you fist bump. And there was that one time you came up behind him at the grocery store and hugged his arm to your chest. You immediately whispered something along the lines of âcreep wonât leave me aloneâ followed by a loud âhey babe!â
Corpse could barely admit to himself how much he liked that.
But this? This felt good. Corpseâs large warm hand on your face somehow made you want to cry more but in a good way. The tenderness with which he held your face made your heart squeeze as it remembered moments like this with your boyf- ex boyfriend. But then it remembered your brotherâs words.
âHey, whatâs up?â You spoke as you answered his call. Your brother wasnât much of a caller, so it made you worry.Â
âHey, where are you right now?â
âIâm home, why?â
ây/n⊠Thereâs something I gotta tell you.â He sighed and you could clearly hear the guilt.
âDid you break my DS!â It was your first thought as you had given it to him the last time you had seen him. âDude! Iâve had that since I was seven!â
âNo no, I called about something else.â He cut you off mid-whine. âBut also I did lose the pen.â You huffed out a sigh of frustration but stayed silent so he could tell you what he wanted to tell you. âI saw your boyfriend at the park today.â
You furrowed your eyebrows. âAnd?â How did this warrant a phone call?Â
âHe was with Bob.âÂ
When you had met your best friend, your brother was only a toddler. He had decided that her name was Bob, so it stuck. You always called her Bob, she was saved as Bob in your phone, your whole family called her Bob. But you still didn't understand. Why was he calling you to tell you that your boyfriend and your best friend were at the park?Â
âWhy are you calling me about this? You know that theyâre friends, right?â You let out a chuckle, albeit still pretty confused. âTheyâre allowed to hang out without me.âÂ
âThey werenât hanging out.â You could hear your brother push out a strained sigh. What wasnât he telling you? âThey were making out on the swing set. As in, both of them on one swing. And I double checked, it was definitely them. I-I told mom and she said not to tell you, but I couldnât not tell you when Iâm the one who saw it!â
You couldnât bring yourself to say a word.
âIâm sorry, y/n.â
There was no lying to yourself, you had doubts about your best friend and your boyfriend. But you constantly brushed it off. He wouldnât hurt you like that. Hell, she couldnât hurt like that. Not after everything you had been through together.Â
But you had seen his call log by accident one time, he called her more than he did you. She face-timed him one time to ask his opinion about a dress she was going to buy while you were in the changing room. She had done a handful of things since your relationship with your boyfriend started that made you uneasy. If this was their first kiss, which was something you doubted, then theyâve both been emotionally attached to the other for far too long.
All those tender intimate moments, all those dates, throughout everything, he wasnât faithful. Not emotionally, at least. None of those moments that you cherished meant anything to you anymore. He had played you. With none other than your best friend since middle school. You didnât know who to be more mad at.
The thoughts of betrayal from someone who you considered a sister and the hurt of being cheated on made you nauseated.
So when the large warm hand on your face stroked your cheek again, you didnât mind it. This was Corpse. Not your cheating boyfriend. Not your lying best friend. Corpse. And you knew that he would never hurt you.
âHeâs been cheating on me for a while I think.â You mumbled against his sweatpants. âMaybe a couple months. I donât know.âÂ
Corpse furrowed his brows in thought. You had told him you were going to visit your boyfriend for your one year anniversary next week. âWerenât you go-â
âYeah.â
âAnd Bobâs been your friend since-â
âYeah.â Your chin wobbled as you answered. You brought your arms up around Corpseâs thigh and hugged it. It was a strange position, but you didnât care. He was so warm and nice and hugging him properly required more movement on your end than you were willing to do.
âOh, sweetheart.â Corpse sighed and reached out to untangle your arms from his leg. He gently pulled you across the few inches of bed between you and sat you in his lap. You wrapped your arms around his neck and your legs around his waist, immediately sobbing into his shoulder. âDo you want me to turn off the music?â You shook your head no against him and he chuckled before he solemnly sighed. âWhen did you find out?âÂ
âWhen I came home.â
âBut you came home hours ago. Have you been in here this whole time?â You nodded. âWhy didnât you tell me?â
âYou were streaming, didnât wanna interrupt.â You shrugged.
ây/n,â he sighed disappointedly, âyouâre my best friend. I can end a stream if you need me.â
âOkay.â Your voice, broken and weak and tired, made him feel so guilty. You had been crying your heart out for over two hours just down the hall from where he was.
He gently grabbed you by your hips and tried to push you away, but you only held on tighter and whimpered. âI just wanna get you some water.â
âI donât want water.â
âThen what do you want?â
âYou.â You whispered. âPlease stay.âÂ
Fuck. How could he say no to that?
So he stayed.

Idiot
Kenma x Gn!Reader x Kuroo (Poly)
Warnings: Angst with a fluff at the end to make up for it
Synopsis: Kenma tried to hide his feelings as he saw the two people he cares about is dating one another, but his pent up feelings made itself known.
"Tetsuroo!"
Kenma heard your voice echoing through the gym, he was just about to warm up as he puts his switch in his bag when he felt your presence.
"How many times have I told you to take a break!? You're sick!" You scolded their Captain, already changed from your uniformq into the Nekoma Volleyball Club's tracksuit as you pulled him by the ear.
"Im fine! I can totally play! Kenma tell Y/n!" He shouted for his friend, desperately trying to participate in the club activities.
Kenma couldn't really focus on what his friend was saying as his eyes were transfixed to you, taking in your features and just basking in your presence. All he managed to muster up is a nod and hum.
You sighed, shaking your head "Go home. Don't drag Kenma in this. I want you to rest, the sooner you get better the sooner you can play volleyball. Understand?" You spoke, voice laced with authority as you being their manager kicked in.
"Ughh, im so jealouuus! I want someone to care for me like that too!" Yamamoto sighed as they all looked at yours and kuroo's bantering frame. "Seeing how sweet they are makes me wanna throw up." He added as they saw their captain trying to woo you into making him play.
"Then who's gonna take you home? Just come with me-" Kuroo persisted but you just merely cut him off. "No. I'm not here just as your s/o but also the manager for the team. I need to perform my managerial duties as well as check up on them too, you know. I'll just go home with Kenma." You said, still not backing down. The entire Nekoma team still watching you both. Kuroo let out a huff and raised his hands. "Fine fine.. you win.." he grumbles as he grabs his bag.
You shot him a cute smile and waved as he left the gymnasium, "Love you tooo!" Once you made sure he already left, you turned towards what was left of the Nekoma Team.
"Now, have you all finished doing your warm- ups?"
Volleyball practice has come to an end as you found yourself walking alongside Kenma who was busy playing a game. The sound effects of the game fills the deafening silence between you two.
You glanced over him, taking in his features while he was completely unaware. Too focused in his game to even care about his surroundings, you sometimes even have to pull him when he was getting dangerously close to the lamp post or was about to trip over something.
Unbeknowst to you, Kenma was far from being focused. His mind was in shambles, thoughts darting back and forth in his head making him loose focus and actually getting defeated in the game. He tried his best to calm his nerves by gripping on his nintendo switch as he weighed the pros and cons if he was going to confess to you right now.
"Uh.. Y/n".
He called out softly, his eyes widened slightly. He was not meant to say that out loud. You stopped humming as you turned to your side "What is it Kenma?"
Kenma's eyes darting back and forth at his surroundings, trying to find the words to say as his voice got caught in his throat. You looked at him more closely, leaning to observe his features. "Kenma.. are you okay?" You said worriedly, putting a hand on the underside of his jaw to check the temperature.
Before Kenma could even stop himself, those words that he wants to tell you throughout the years you've known each other made it's way out of his mouth.
"I like you a lot."
It was like time has stopped, your hands went stiff as your eyes widened, you tried to play off your iitial shock with a laugh "Kenma, you wouldn't have stuck by me and tetsu's side if you didn't like us." You teased, trying to ease the akward tension between you.
"No, I love you."
At this point, Kenma wants to bash his head against a concrete wall. Since when did he ever got the balls to be bold?
Your hand found its way to your sides as your mouth opened and closed, trying to find the words to say, meanwhile he just stared at the luminescent light his game was giving off.
"Kenma..."
You started, unsure of what to say to the setter "I-i didn't know you felt that way.." You said softly, the feelings you had for him that is tucked away slowly resurfacing.
"It's fine.. You're dating Kuroo anyways.. I just.. felt the need to get it out of my chest." He waved it off, trying to act indifferent about it but what you didn't know was his heart was shattering as the uncomfortable silence grew between you both..
You took in a sharp breath as you stared up at the sky, trying to find the word to say between the setter and you. "Does Kuroo know about this?" You asked him, still looking up and avoiding his gaze.
You can't fall for him again, you already have the most caring and amazing boyfriend that happens to be his bestfriend.
"No. I don't know what will happen if I ever told him.." His voice growing softer by second, you finally grabbed his shoulders and looked at him.
"Kenma.. I don't want things changing between us, you already know im dating Kuroo and.. you're a great friend. I love you to bits okay?"
Kenma looked down as he tried to hide his tears, the words displayed on the device mocking him.
Defeat.
You sat in your bed, on the phone with Kuroo.
"Kenma.. He said something to me earlier." You started as you heard the shuffling of sheets from the other line. "And that is?" He asked a bit intrigued.
"He said he liked me." You dropped the bomb on the unsuspecting Kuroo, the line went silent for a few seconds before he spoke up. "You told me you liked him right?"
You looked down as you fiddled with the hem of your shirt, "Yes." . Kuroo asked again, "Do you still have feelings for him?" You sighed "Tetsuroo.. I'm dating you now-"
"Just answer me."
The three of you grew up in the same neighbourhood, you became bestfriends with both and initially fell for Kenma. You didn't plan to tell anyone but Kuroo found out and pratically forced you to spill. A few years later you began dating Kuroo, him confessing and you accepting it. You thought your feelings for Kenma were long gone but here you are, back to square one.
"I thought I got over it.. but it resurfaced.." You mumbled, tearing up and hoping that a fight wouldn't ensue.
Kuroo sighed, "Okay."
You looked at your phone then pressed it up again on your ear. "Okay what?" Your voice laced with a little bit of panic.
"Okay."
"What do you mean okay Kuroo Tetsuroo!?" You asked him frantically, afraid he was going to end it with you over the phone.
"I just need time to think." He said as the line went dead. You dropped your phone beside your bed as you let a few tears fall.
The next few days had been rough, Kuroo wouldn't answer your calls and avoided you as you have been trying to avoid Kenma who is in the same class as you.
"Still not okay Y/n-chan?" Yaku walked alongside you as he checked over you. You sighed as you shook your head, eyes puffy from crying sessions you partake in the evening
"Kuroo didn't broke up with you over the phone did he? I'll wrangle hi-"
"I didn't, no reason to beat me up." The voice you know all too well spoked up as your posture stiffened, not looking back.
You felt him grab your wrist and lead you outside "Let's talk." Your breath hitched as you saw Kenma outside, by the looks of it, he was waiting for you and kuroo to show up.
"Now that we're all here, let's make things clear." Kuroo started, "Kenma and I have talked about it. Don't worry, we didn't fight or somethibg like that." He chuckled
"Since you both like us we came up with a solution.." Kenma said softly, eyes still not meeting yours. You kinda felt guilty for avoidibg him.
"Why don't you date both of us?" Kuroo asked, his hands finding it's way to Kenma's which definetly didn't go unnoticed by you.
"Do you guys like each other..?" You asked, still looking at their intertwined hands. "Yea, we talked about it and realized our feelings." Kuroo said as he held your haid and waited for a reaction.
You smiled and squeezed his hand "Good. I don't think I can date you both knowing you'll probably compete over my gorgeus self."
Kuroo laughed while Kenma has a small smile on his face "Kenma.. I'm sorry for ignoring you for the past days..please forgive me?" You asked, taking his hands to yours. What you didn't expect was a light kiss on the cheek, "I think you know the answer."
"Oya? What about me?" Kuroo pouted, asking for a kiss, Kenma complied but you just ran away, laughter echoing in the now empty halls.
"Y/n my kisseeeees!" Kuroo yelled after you, as you relentlessly teased him while running.
Kenma looked at his boyfriend and s/o while sighing, a small smile plastered on his face. What a bunch of idiots.
His idiots.

mornings âĄ Â·Ë â
âââ  ïœĄïŸâ: *.✠.* :âïŸ. âââÂ
â Â summary : your boyfriend seungcheol just canât get enough of you, even the morning after an intimate and long night spent together.
â Â pairing :Â boyfriend!seungcheol x reader
â warnings : smut, swearing, dirty talk, fingering, unprotected sex, creampie, oral (female receiving), a bit of cum eating, slight degradation, slight daddy kink
â word count : 2.1K words
â authorâs note : hey guys im vi, and this is my first ever smut that im posting on my blog so i thought why not start with seungcheol ;-) i hope you enjoy it !!
"Oh you're here."
You jumped a little at hearing your boyfriend's groggy morning voice, he wasn't meant to wake up this early, at least not before you finished preparing breakfast.
"Cheol...you almost gave me a heart atrack," you squeaked, turning back around to finish mixing the pancake batter.
"Sorry baby...why did you leave me in bed?" He sulked, hugging you from the back as his arms wrapped around your waist.
"Cheol it's 8 in the morning and your already sulking? I had to make breakfast so of course I got out of bed," you huffed, as he kissed your cheek tenderly.
"You should've stayed in bed until I woke up though, I missed you."
Chuckling at his words, you turned in his arms to face his pouty face.
"Well we both know how that goes...you tell me five more minutes of cuddling and next minute it's already 12 and I'm worn out and late for class."
Seungcheol laughed, his dimples on full display as he looked down at your face.
"Well do you ever regret it?"
"Not really...but tell you what, my prof will end up giving me an absolute zero by the end of the semester just because of my missed attendance."
"Well fuck him...why don't you turn up to classes today extra late and say you were getting good dick so you came late," he suggested, without any shame whatsoever.
Your mouth hung open as you stared at him in utter disbelief.
"Sometimes I wonder if your heads screwed on right."
Seungcheol smiled, leaning down to peck your lips before they trailed down to your neck, where many marks were left, evident of the long night you and your boyfriend had shared last night.
"Cheol...th-this will be hard enough to cover....n-no more," you somehow made out, with Seungcheol placing open mouthed kisses all over your neck.
And of course, he ignored you, as he picked you up and placed you on the opposite bench which was clear of any kitchenware or objects, the abandoned pancake batter long forgotten.
"Didn't you get enough last night? Please give me a break and let me eat some food, I'm hungry," you said, as you suddenly remembered last night's happenings. He wouldn't let you go, and you lost count of how many times he got you to cum, and the amount of times you cried out for him to stop.
Seungcheol's lips left your neck, as he looked at you with a smirk plastered on his beautiful face.
"Babygirl, I could never get enough of you....and I'm just as hungry as you are, but for something else," he whispered the last line in your ear, as his words sent shivers down your spine.
He spread your legs a little, just enough so he could get between them as he wrapped his hands around your waist again, tilting his head, he pressed his lips against yours. Â His hips pushed up right into yours, making you feel how hard he really was just through his thin boxers. Your hands gripped his shoulder tightly as his hot tongue glided down your body before stopping at the neck lining of your shirt.
"Take it off," he muttered gruffly.
Even though you wanted to protest and go back to cooking, the way he was looking at you, and the undeniable heat that was pooling between your legs told you otherwise. You took your shirt off, as Seungcheol straight away attached his lips to your right nipple, a quiet sigh left your parted lips.
"I love that you don't wear a bra in the morning," he whispered against your skin, as you felt him smile.
You smiled, your nails slightly digging into Seungcheol's shoulders at the feeling of his tongue on your sensitive bud.
"As much as I love taking my time with you, I really just feel like fucking you today," he groaned, his lips trailing back up to your neck.
"Lean back baby, I want you flat against the counter."
You did as you were told, hissing at the contact of your bare skin on the cold countertop.
"Ch-cheol...it's c-cold," you whined, shivering as he smiled knowingly.
"I know...don't worry, I'll make you warm in no time."
He pulled your tights down, along with your panties, the cold air hitting your core making you shudder.
"Look at you...already so wet for me...and you said you needed a break?" he asked, tilting his head a little as he looked at you, eyes clouded with nothing but lust.
He didn't really give you a chance to reply, as he grabbed your thighs, giving you one last glance before dipping his head between them.
You bit your bottom lip harshly, moaning softly as you felt Seungcheol's tongue flush against your entrance.
"Fuck baby, I swear you taste extra good in the morning," he groaned against you skin, before he bought two of his fingers up to your mouth.
"Open up."
You opened your mouth, letting him push his fingers in as your eyes fluttered shut, lips closing around his fingers as you sucked on them.
He took them out suddenly, making you whine as he chuckled.
"Maybe if you be good, I'll let you suck me off later, hm?" He said, making you nod.
"Then be a good girl for me and moan as loud as you can okay? And remember, you are not allowed to cum until I say so."
You nod once again, bucking your hips into his fingers eagerly as you felt him rub them at your entrance.
"Words baby....or you don't get what you want," Seungcheol warned.
"O-okay daddy," you mutter impatiently, biting down on your lip.
Without another word, he pushed his fingers into you roughly, making you jolt up from the sudden wave of pleasure.
"Sh-shit, cheol!"
You moaned over and over again, as Seungcheol pumped his fingers in and out of you, while his tongue sucked on your clit harshly. Your thighs automatically shut around his head, the pleasure making it too much for you to handle, and your muscles already going weak.
He suddenly stopped, making you groan loudly in annoyance.
"Why, cheol?"
Except speaking, he gave you a glance before grabbing your thighs and spreading them wider, beyond your comfort.
"Keep them here," he warned, before he straightened his back, his fingers finding your dripping entrance once again.
"F-Fuck," you curse through gritted teeth, it was hard enough with his assault on your most sensitive area, but to make it worse, he kept his burning gaze on you, a dirty smirk plastered on his face as he watched you writhe in pleasure.
"I-I...fuck....n-need to...c-cum.." you choked on your words as he added a third finger, his thumb pressing down roughly on your clit as you cried out his name.
"Not yet baby."
Seungcheol leaned down, his lips attaching onto your right nipple, as he pulled on it slightly, but it was enough to make you scream.
You closed your eyes shut, your mouth hanging open as you came without warning, it was just too much to handle that you didn't seem to care what Seungcheol would do to you since you broke his number one rule.
He took his fingers out, and you realised he wasn't touching you, but you were too tired to open your eyes, or even care.
His fingers found your hair, as he pulled you up, and that had your eyes shooting open as you gasped in pain.
"Seungcheol what the fuck! That hurt!"
His eyes shot daggers to yours, as he only pulled you closer by your hair.
"Didn't I tell you not to fucking cum until I say so?" He drawled, making you swallow harshly.
"S-Sorry..."
"Sorry what?"
"Sorry...d-daddy," you stuttered out, avoiding his burning gaze.
"You know I hate it when you don't do as I say..." He trailed off, turning you around and pushing you forward so you were leaning down against the counter, you cheek touching the cold marble.
"But since I am pretty impatient today, I'll let you off."
His words cut you off guard, as you bit your lip in anxiousness....Seungcheol has never let you off after you mess up, it was always ended in some sort of cruel punishment.
You were so lost in your thoughts that you didn't hear Seungcheol unbuckling his belt, before he suddenly pushed into you without any warning, making you scream loudly.
"God, I fucked you so much last night....why are you still so tight?" He growled, grabbing your hips as he slammed into you over and over again.
You no longer felt how cold the marble counter was, as the only thing your mind could focus on was Seungcheol's rough onslaught and the sound of your skin slapping against each other deliciously.
It went on for a little longer, before you started clenching around Seungcheol, as you knew you were close.
You felt how Seungcheol's thrusts slowly started getting sloppier, before you felt his warm liquid fill you up, a heavenly groan leaving his lips as you moaned loudly.
He pulled out, turning you around and pushing your back against the counter once again, the sudden movement causing you to see stars.
"Fuck....I love seeing my cum drip out of you, you don't know how beautiful you look right now...all pretty and full of my cum," he moaned, licking his lips as he guided his cock back to your entrance, pushing in slowly before pulling out again to see more of his cum drip out as you shuddered.
He did that a few more times before pushing into you completely again and this time, thrusting into you a little slower.
"Ch-Cheol....I-I....going t-to...c-cum," you stuttered out, gripping the counter so hard your knuckles started turning white.
"Ah yes...cum darling."
Taking his words as a go, you clench around him once again, feeling yourself almost at the edge before he suddenly stopped moving.
Seungcheol chuckled, pulling out of you before smacking your ass.
"Are you serious!?" You squeaked, as you watched him pull his boxers back up.
"What? I'm satisfied....and you already came right?" He deadpanned.
"Are you really going to do this to me?" You said in disbelief.
"You really thought I would let you go without a punishment? Baby, you know I'll always get you back."
"Cheol please I'm begging you," you whined, as he helped you to stand up.
"Now let's get your clothes back on, I don't want you spilling my cum all over the kitchen floor, keep it in okay? And maybe if I think you've learnt your lesson by the time I come home, I'll give you what you want," he said, kissing your cheek before he pulled your pants up, along with your panties.
"B-But you don't come home until 5...I have classes to attend today...I can't wait that long," you pouted, holding onto his wrists.
"I'm sure you can sweetheart," he beamed, moving a few hair strands out of your face.
"This is cruel, cheol....I hate you," you huffed, pushing him away before finding your shirt and putting it back on.
Seungcheol laughed, grabbing you by the waist.
"I love you baby....but you need to learn your lesson, right? You know I never let you off...and if you were really scared, you wouldn't have done that in the first place-"
"Cheol please I'll do anything you want please I'm sorry....I-I'll skip class...I don't care just don't do this to me please," you begged, giving him your saddest face ever, all the shame of how desperate you really were leaving you.
You knew your entire day would be ruined, as the only thing that would probably run through your mind while your lecturer blabbed on about god knows what would be Seungcheol deep inside of you as you came undone.
"Hey now....you'll be so busy during the day that you'll most likely forget," he chuckled, pecking your lips.
Frowning deeply, you took a deep breath in, as you felt yourself get slightly angry with how cocky he was acting.
"You know what? I don't need you, it's not like I can't get off by myself...guess I'll just excuse myself during my lecture and go someplace so I can finger myself until I come all over my fingers...and you won't be there to clean me up...I'll send you a photo if your lucky," you whisper the last line in his ear, before pulling away to see his expression.
He bought his face closer to yours, until you felt his hot breath tickling your cheek.
"You wouldn't dare do that," he snapped, but you took it as a challenge.
"I wouldn't dare? Well you'll see then," you whispered, winking at him as you pretended to walk away before he trapped you between the counter and his body.
"Fuck this...I can't take it anymore......get on your knees."
You smiled deviously, knowing you finally got him to snap.

I am still very new to this website and I donât know how link a post but this fic is based on a post by @sandersgrey
(If someone reading this knows how to link a post please either explain it to me or link it in the comments because that post is *amazing*)
âHmmm,â said Tessa, depositing Mina into Kitâs waiting arms and examining her buzzing phone critically. She shot a quizzical look in his direction.
Jem looked up from his novel. âWhat is âhmmmâ, my love?â
Kit mimed vomiting but stopped dead in his tracks when she replied, âitâs Astridâs mother. You remember her from parent teacher night, donât you, my darling?â Kit swears they were being extra insufferable just to mess with him but he didnât have the time to be annoyed when Astridâs. Mom. Was. Calling. Tessa.
To understand why Kit was panicking as much as he was, you must know that Astridâs mom was incredibly chill. She never got mad. The worst punishment sheâd ever given her daughter was taking away her iPod for a week so she couldnât listen to Mitski.
Was she calling about last night when Astrid, Mari and Kit threw eggs at the Shadowhunterâs that were giving Mariâs pack a hard time for no reason? No, that couldnât be it. Sheâd given them the eggs.
Could the call be about the day before yesterday when Kit and Astrid got distracted doing homework and ended up snapping the coffee table clean in half while battling gladiator style with pool noodles? No, that wasnât it. Sheâd just handed Astrid a twenty and told them to go to Kevinâs parents' shop and get a new one. Was she pissed because they ended up spending the money on ice cream instead? No, they ended up finding a table for free in the rubbing bin outside a fancy hotel.
Kit clutched his sister to his chest and prepared for the worst.
âSeo-yoon! What can I do for- Oh, hello Astrid!â Tessa paused briefly, presumably to listen to Astrid speak, and Kit sighed in relief.
âKit is occupied at the moment but I can relay the message.â Another pause. âOh donât be frightened of me. Iâm a tots rad mom. Your secret is safe with me.â Kit felt his face flush red as he heard his best friendâs laughter echo across the living room. âOkay! Iâll let him know. He has to get Mina to sleep before he can leave though. Lord knows heâs the only one who can these days.â Tessa chuckled at something Astrid said before wishing her good luck in her endeavour and ending the call.
She turned her attention back to Kit. âAstrid needs your help breaking into your teacherâs home to retrieve her cell phone.â
Kit blinked at her, dumbfounded. âYou arenât mad Iâm going to go break the law?â
Because of course he was doing it. Astridâs dad had bought it for her and he was extremely cautious about money. That was one of three things Kit knew about her dad. He was cheap, he lived in America and he loved the movie Fight Club.
Tessa ruffled Kitâs hair affectionately. âPlease. Iâve raised two other Herondales. At least I know about this particular adventure beforehand.â
Mina began snoring softly and Kit handed her back to her mother. He grabbed his bag and started his journey to the door when Tessa added, âshe also told me to say hi to a âdaddy Kitâ. Are you âdaddy Kit?ââ
âDaddy Kitâ closed his eyes and wished for the sweet release of death.
âWhy is Kit a daddy,â Jem asked, genuinely confused. âArenât I the daddy?â
Kit swung the door open so fast not even a speed rune could have aided him. But not before I heard Tessa reply, âLily Chen certainly thinks so.â
Mrs. MacNamara clapped her hands together. âWhy donât we all go around and say a few things about ourselves?â
Kit buried his face into his hands. Heâd been relieved when no other teacher had fulfilled the Disney channel stereotype of making every student introduce themselves to the new kid. But Mrs. MacNamara didnât even seem to realize what she was doing.
All Kitâs fellow classmates groan. Expect one. Her hand shot up immediately. She was short, like smaller than Clary short. She wore a baggy pink shirt with the words âQueen Glimmer of Etheriaâ sewed on with purple sequins and tight black jeans. Her colourful, choppy hair was in a low ponytail and she flew a few strands out of her eyes as her hand wiggled in the hair.
Mrs. MacNamara pointed at her. She stood up and smiled at Kit. âHi. My name is Astrid. My hobbies include making my little cousinâs girl Barbies kiss, as it should be, and watching television shows where everyone is a terrible person so you can love all of them!â
âAnd what shows might that be?â asked Kit, already in the process of pulling out his phone and opening the Notes app.
âGreyâs Anatomy, Glee, Greyâs Anatomy again because itâs seventeen seasons as of right now. And to be fair it practically became a different show when they killed off Mark Sloan.â
âThatâs enough, Miss Yang,â said Mrs. MacNamara. Astrid sat down and winked at Kit. Then she took out her phone and airdropped him a complete list of all her favorite shows, along with her number.
After Blessicaâs pre-birthday birthday party, they went to Cirenworth and stayed up till four A.M. binging them.
They met outside a queer dry bar called Aries Not Welcome, the unspoken gathering place of the Merry Hoes. It was run by a poly lesbian couple in their mid-thirties. Quinn, Sydney and Aliyah may not have served alcohol but at least they were open 24/7.
âDid you bring the shit?â
Kit gave her a look. âThe shit? How conclusive.â
âShut up. You know, the shadowhunter thing.â
âThe shadowhunter thing?â
âThe, the, the glow stick that you draw with.â
âThe glow stick that I draw wi-â Kit closed his eyes briefly. âDo you mean a stele?â
Astrid snapped her fingers. âThatâs it!â Kit shook his head in exasperation, smiling fondly. âI borrowed a torch from Quinn, letâs move.â
âShould I be worried that you know where Mr. Smith lives?â questioned Kit as he followed Astridâs lead through the park.
âShould I be worried that your mom was fine with us breaking and entering?â she shot back playfully. Kit pushed Astrid and she fell off the path, laughing all the way.
âYou called me âdaddyâ to my momâs face.â
She just laughed harder, slinging her arm around Kitâs shoulder. âIt was over the phone, Christopher. And as I should.â
âPffffttt. Why did you get your phone taken anyway?â She put her hands into her jumper pocket and looked at the ground. âAstrid.â She remained silent. âAstrid?â
She mumbled something under her breath. âWhat?â asked Kit.
âI WAS READING NINEJ FANFICTION!â she shouted.
Kit gasped. âI thought you were a die hard Kanej shipper,â he whispered.
âIâm a multishipper, okay?!â she replied, equally quiet.
âDoes Blessica know?â
She shook her head. âAnd she will never find out.â
Kit saw the opportunity and he seized it. âSheâll never find out as long as you never call me daddy in front of either of my parents.â
She removed her arm from his shoulder and guided them out of the park, in the direction of the many apartments that lined this side of town. âI hate you.â
âWell, so does Mari. You're not special, Ast.â
She rolled her eyes. âYou know Mari doesnât actually hate you, right?! Theyâre just still in the enemy phase of your enemies-to-lovers romance. She only dislikes you because they feel something for you but they donât know what so she interrupts it as loathing. In reality, her inner soul knows youâre hot and shmexie.â
Kit didnât know how to process this so he just nodded and follow Astrid in silence to Mr. Smithâs house. (Plus, he was kinda glad that, according to his best friend, he had a little more time for Mari to âdiscover their true feelingsâ. If Kit screwed this up, he was out of countries to run off to.)
âOh you have got to be fucking kidding me.â
âWhat,â asked Kit, turning around to face Astrid and closing the drawer he was rifling through. âDid you find your phone?â
âYeah. But I also found Blessicaâs. She was Snapping Kevin. Platonic my ass. But he took the fucking trans flag out of her phone!â
Kit snatched Blessicaâs phone out of her hand to examine it for herself. She was telling the truth. Where the glitter pride flag usually rested was just a clear purple case. Kit couldnât believe his eyes.
âItâs one thing to misgender her every day.â Blessica had forced all four of the other Merry Hoes to sign a contract saying they wouldnât do anything to harm him because of it. âBut this is the last straw. You know what we have to do.â Oops.
âYeah, but we donât have any spray paint.â
Kit eyed Mr. Smithâs pink sofa, blue bar stool covers and white picture frames. âI think I have something better in mind.â
It would have been easier for both parties to just zip off the sofa cushions and tape them to the wall but by ripping them off in strips, they ensured he would have to buy new ones. And judging by the car he drove and the fiji water in his fridge, Mr. Smith could definitely afford it.
That reminded him, âIâll finish up with this. Go put all his fiji water into my bag.â Astrid saluted him and ran off. âWait.â She stopped and looked at him. âSteal all the remotes you can find.â
âHow is he not awake?,â asked Astrid as they ripped the fabric of his seating from the stool.
He shrugged. âDonât question it.â He shoved the bundle of cloth into her arms. âGlue this above the pink. Iâll handle the frames.â
âSay the magic word,â she sang.
âPlease?â
âNo. Lesbian. Come on, I thought you knew me better than that.â
Kit laughed quietly. âCan you lesbian glue this above the pink?â
She grinned at Kit. âIt would be my pleasure.â

Diavolo- True Form
Whoooooooo weeeee! âPologies for the wait on these longer posts. Iâve been hit with a one two punch of house emergencies and sudden costly ass repairs, so my creative juices have been rightly squashed as of late.
Plus side I got my drawing tablet and drafting table back so I can neaten up my blog lay out now (yay!)Â
Anyway this one was a challenge in the best possible ways. I really like Diavolo because of how little we know about him so it gave me some wiggle room. Or at least what I know of him- im only on like chapter 23 of the stories. Idk if I did him justice as this is angsty af but I sure had a blast writing it!
Hope ya like! Next up: BeelzebubÂ
Trigger warning: Mention of blood, and swearing.Â
Diavolo-
He'll never show you, so don't ask. His true form is god-like in its own right and such knowledge, such truly raw demonic power in its natural form is not for your mortal eyes.
No matter what your lineage, it would break you. And despite his roles and being the literal devil, he doesnât want you suffering.
Sometimes when he thinks you wouldn't notice he relaxes his hold on reality, just a fraction. He wants to relieve some of the tension that is always building just below the surface. Like closing your eyes when you have a tension headache. The mental energy he has to exert to keep face is enormous. Regular glamour doesnât work nearly as well as his own, or Barbatoâs magic.
But you see hints during your downtime spent in his company. A ripple in his reflection on the window pane. Unexplainable shadows dancing across his exposed skin. Too many teeth in his mouth when he laughs. Sometimes when you stare into his eyes you see something indescribable staring back behind them. His usually warm and inviting gaze darkening. A barest flicker, a hulking bestial thing kept locked behind in his golden gaze. It's enough to freeze the blood in your veins.
On certain nights when you can slip away from the brothers you stay in his room. Lying  awake, you watch his magic wane and shift as he slumbers. Sometimes you see runes, or at times letters. You are tempted to write them down and ask Solomon. But something stops you each time.
The worst images are the faces. Unknown souls trapped beneath his flesh clawing to be freed. Silent screams fading back into his body as he dreams. Your fragile fingers trace the patterns they leave as you wait for the next day wrapped in his embrace.
Only once have you seen more of his form then he would ever wish. The depths of his strength and mental fortitude were unknown to you so the slip up took you both by surprise. He masks the error well, but the sudden shift in energy in the room couldnât be suppressed .
You are suddenly so aware of the oppressive weight of gravity on your frame. Your bones grinding together under the force of his aura. You panic, desperate by the need to breathe, but are unable to draw even the smallest bit of oxygen as it is robbed from the room. Time and reality wrapped too, distorting in ways only you thought only Barbatos could do. You knew in that moment the sudden dread of death, how mortally was but a rusty shackle tethering you down.
He collects himself, dispelling the energy and locking his glamour down tight to protect you. But that split second of fury felt like an eternity to you as you sink to the floor. You hiccup a shaky sob and shiver. Your fragile human mind bowing under the strain of what it cannot comprehend. Scolding hot tears fall from your cheeks, before splashing crimson the stone below you.
You didn't approach him again for over a month. No matter how strong you are, some things were better off unseen.
Mini Fic
He didnât know. For once in his ancient pitiful existence, he had been unaware of his surroundings. It had been for just a moment, one tiny crack in his veneer. The foolishness of Mammon and Belphegorâs actions finally poked the right nerve. He wouldnât hurt them, for Luciferâs sake. That prideful demon would never forgive him if he did. But he could scare them. A quick look at his true self; a flash of the deepest bowels of hell. Enough to give them a reminder of their positions and standing in his court. He had expected their whimpers of fear, could taste the acidic tinge of it exuding from their pores. What he didnât expect though was your blood curdling screams alongside.
Ironically, he would have to thank the second eldest later. His fast thinking is the only thing that saved you from complete damnation. His body shielded yours, taking the brunt of the stronger daemons hellish might for you. What little magic Mammon still had left used to protect you. Though, while your vision was blocked, you could still feel his oppressive presence. It racked your mortal flesh. Diavolo knew what affects his power had on humans. He spent years breaking and consuming damned souls with zeal after all.
The brothers had run from him after that, screaming for Simone. Barbatos following close behind, a look of consternation on his usually impassive face. You had been so limp in Mammon's arms. Diavolo could do nothing, shocked by his own weak will and realization that he might have ruined everything. You had been whisked away so quickly by his faithful servant and the brothers that he hadnât had a chance to look you over himself. But the brief moment he saw will haunt him for years to come. Your eyes red from the sudden haemolacria, the blood staining your clothes and face. Your fingers digging away at your soft skin, black and purple blotches staining what he could see. Mouth opened wide on a silent scream. He knew what you must have seen. The souls of the damned trapped under his glamour breaking free to latch on to your unmarred soul trying to drag you back with them.
Against his butler's advice he stands at your door now days later trying to see you. He couldnât sit around and just hear updates second hand. The brothers had been keeping guard most days in a valiant attempt to keep him away. But he could only be waylaid for so long before he used his rank against them.
He had arranged a full council meeting. Every one of the brothers knowing full well it was to get them out of his way. Yet, the order was absolute. This time none of the brothers could reject it. Barbatos would keep them in that room for eternity if he so wished for it. He hated using his age and power against them, but he saw no other way to get to you.
It was foolish now, standing as he was in front of your door. A part of him hoping you would turn the knob and let him in. Let him comfort you for once, instead of the asinine distractions the brothers offered. He could help too. Hells, he wanted to. He wanted to be closer to you. Power discrepancy be damned. The other part of him knowing it was for the best that you didnât. Your guardian and tormentor all in one. He listens to your muffled sobs for a moment fighting with his feet to stay cemented to the floor instead of heading back in defeat. Â
"When my father was still around he took me down to the deepest depths of the kingdom. Where the worst of the traitors and sinners are imprisoned." His deep baritone rumbles through your door during a break in your crying. "Itâs a place few seldom go; even now I have yet to return. Back then he told me âthere will never be a human soul that is undeserving of punishment. Even the ones destined for the celestial realm are tethered to sin.â At that time I believed him. The things I saw in your realm... " The prince chuckles wearily.
He remembers the ever present scowl on the old King's face. His dark eyes looking out at the sea of damned souls he controlled. Even as a young daemon, fresh into his wings and still sharpening his horns to impress others he could tell how much his father detested his position. How it had warped him, turning him bitter and cold, even to his mate and only child.
Diavolo never wanted to be like that. Not to the ones he supposedly cared for at the very least. "I think that is why he hated the other realms so much.â He continued. âHumans, for their ability to choose which realm they would eventually end up in after they pass. That even the worst sinners could find redemption enough at the last moment to get to the pearly gates. While daemons, no matter how well they served, or the duties they did for the good of their own would never be seen as equals to our celestial counterparts or yours. That this existence is all we'll ever be destined to have. Nightmares and monsters, stories to tell little human children to keep them in line.â He pauses, collecting himself. âI believed wholeheartedly that every human deserved the punishments only my kind could dowel out. But, in this past year I have spent with you, I find myself changing. You are so undeserving of such torment. Somehow you are understanding and forgiving beyond measure to us. You handle our ill tempers with such grace. For daemons such as us, it is staggering, and humbling. I regret that I have hurt you so deeply and have broken your trust. I swear it as the head of this realm I would never intentionally do so." He looks at the door handle willing it to open. " I am so sorry."
Your crying picks up again. Huge heaving sobs that rattle your chest. Great Father, he just keeps making it worse. Clearing his head Diavolo turns.
Rejection of this nature was new to him. No one had ever dared to ignore him, especially such as this. The royal in him- his father's blood- seethed that he would even stoop so low as to grovel to a short lived thing like yourself. Even deeper yet, it demanded another taste of your essences. You little soul kept safe behind your rib cage. He wanted it added to his collection, kept tucked away deep within his maws.
It was sick; it was wrong. He chokes on the idea. The intrusive thought burrowing deep. How deplorable was he? Perhaps the angels were right to keep him out of heaven.
You didn't show to class the following day, or the days after. Unsurprising to him and the seven of the inner council. He figured the other day wouldnât change anything. But it was utter agony to him. These days trapped in his office only getting short and curt updates on your health from Lucifer. It had been a special kind of torment.
Today he sat once again at his desk staring at some godforsaken bitching of a royal cousin. He knew this whelp. Some backwater thrice removed eons ago. Yet he was demanding an audience? The gall. The ink of their eligible handwriting makes him cross eyed. Would this day ever cease? He looks to his hourglass, the sands within seemingly frozen in time.
"My Lord, perhaps you should take a moment to stretch your legs?" Barbatos moved from his corner. Gloved hand coming to rest on top of the same three lines he had been reading for the past two hours. "This work could wait another evening Iâm certain ."
"Did I do the right thing my friend?" Diavolo doesn't even bother answering the question his servant posed. They both knew he wouldn't. "This program. Our human exchange students. Solomon is one thing, but-"
"Your will and path is absolute." Barbatos states. "There are no mistakes within you, merely stumblings onto different paths."
With a gentle push Barbatos moves the hulking demon out of his way to collect and organize the scrolls and letters scattered about the large desk. "You made the right choice bringing them here. Look at what they have done. They are entertainment to you are they not?"
The prince rose knocking his desk aside and descended on his butler. His true form out in all its unholy glory now. His highly condensed magic distorting the study as if he was a black hole. The axis of the room shifts. His priceless collection of books and toys disintegrating from the cold radiation he emits.
It was all for show really. There was nothing he could do to an ancient being such as Barbatos. So he lashed out, throwing a tantrum in the security of his office. The hopeless agitation he felt fueling the flames of his rage. His butler had only added holy water to his already festering wounds.
Barbatos had been by his side for time in memoriam. The crafty bastard had helped raise him. Had shaped him into the ruler he was today. If anyone could break and remold him it would be his oldest companion.
The dark haired daemon waited for the waves of agitation to dry up. Moving only when the prince was in his more presentable demonic form. Large barrel chest heaving as he reined himself in. âAre you back to your senses?â He asks coolly, already categorizing the items to replace and furniture to be mended.
"I had not meant for it to go like this." Â Diavolo croaks into his hands collapsing back on what remained of his desk. Building a bridge between realms, yes. That noble idea was the greater purpose of this program, but the rest of it. The classes, and dances. The parties where he threw his newest toys about to see how they would react to things other mortals worshiped? That had been for his own curiosity and amusement. Lesser beings navigating a foreign world blind to the dangers that were right under their very nose. Bring a mortal with no magic into his realm? Deep down he knew this was an inevitability. Especially with the freedoms he granted them. He just didnât think he would get so attached.
âNo one believes that you would hurt them on purpose.â His butler cuts off his downward spiral. âIt would ruin the program. That is what you are so stressed about, right?â Barbatos eyes him skeptically. Diavolo, himself, and Lucifer had spent many sleepless weeks constructing and negotiating this program. If the Arch Angels heard a mortal was hurt down here it could very well end this little escapade. But the look in the princeâs eyes told a different story.
A warm glow emanated from his cheeks and he was unable to meet the old daemonâs gaze. Ah. "Or perhaps things have changed?" Barbatos smiles coyly up from beneath his bangs. "You are your mother's son after all. Neither of you were ever able to stem your bleeding hearts for long." Diavolo squawked indignantly but didnât argue. Instead he merely turns a darker shade of red and curses under his breath.
He skipped out on court that evening. Not that he cared much. The other nobles would no doubt use the time to gossip about his whereabouts and uncouth behavior of late. Truth be told, he was avoiding the brothers more than anything else. They had made it expressly clear (some more then others) how they felt about him currently. He wouldn't doubt that Belphegor had a few more brothers on his side now.
Instead he stood at your door once more with a tea tray in hand. He had bumped into Simone on the way. The angel had come to bring you dinner and to check up on the last of your wounds. Celestial magic worked miracles on those who have been touched by the darker arts. Diavolo was grateful for his talents. And, by some miracle, Simone had made it abundantly clear he was not going to bring this to the higher ups on his end either.
Upon seeing the prince slinking up the house's stairwell the other man had simply smiled and offered him the tray. âI suddenly got a message from Luke. Could you perhaps drop this by our friendâs door?â Diavolo had accepted without preamble, large hands dwarfing the platter of little tea cakes and sandwiches. The young cherubs work no doubt. His cooking was a fine treat, and a great incentive to at least open the door.
âHello again.â He knocks twice. âI just wanted to check in on you. I know I am the last person you wish to see but I was hoping to talk?â Silence greets him. Were you awake? He breathes deeply and focuses on picking up your vitals. You were up, your heart thumping steady somewhere in the room. That was good. âI also have dinner for you. Simone had an urgent matter to attend to so he- for better or worse- entrusted this to me.â
Diavolo searches hopelessly for something else to say. He couldnât just leave the food and go. He needed to see you. âI donât plan on staying long today. I understand when I am not wanted, but I cannot help myself but be worried for you. Perhaps this is just me contritioning, because I know I caused this. The amount of times I have been called a âassâ by Solomon over this have been staggering.â He rambles. After another bout of silence from your end he coincides. âI see- I will leave the food by the door and let you rest.â Defeated he puts the food down and turns to leave.
The door clicks open slowly. One bloodshot eye peeking through the crack. âOh mio piccolo mortale.â He loses his grip on your shared tongue at a loss. You looked- you must have been in the hall longer then he or the brothers had known. Such damage couldnât be done in a few moments. Your skin was healing as nicely as Lucifer had said, but the deep purple scarring still remained on the surface. The burn pattern of it all was random. Twisting wounds that reflected an oily sheen from the light of the hallway. âI-.â
âI know-â You cut him off with a raised hand. âand I feel as though I owe you an apology too.â Your voice was so weak and shaky. A mockery of your normally strong and jovial tone. Hearing you laugh at school had brightened the dreary halls. He hadnât realized it until you weren't there.
âYou owe me nothing.â Diavolo says in earnest. He watches you contemplate your next words before throwing whatever you were going to say away.
âWould you like to come in?â Your eyes drop to the tray. âLuke always makes more than I can eat.â
âI donât think that would be wise.â He backs out. All his plans crashing and burning around his feet. His actions had been irreparable.
âPerhaps not,â You open the door wider taking the tray and heading to your side table, leaving him no room to argue. âBut then again, being a lamb among such wolves as yourself and the brothers isnât smart either.â You meant it as a joke but he couldnât even muster a chuckle. It was true. Gods. âDia-â You approach him again but falter at the last second.
As much as you wanted to be close to him again the memories were still so fresh in your mind. The cold hell fire of his magic ensnaring you, searing your skin. The whispered words of sinners long since past still echoing in your head, all in languages youâve never heard before. The worst though had to be the screaming. Lost souls begging for help. Some sounded so familiarâŠYou shutter involuntarily.
You wanted to hate him for this. Curse him for putting you through this pain. But how much could you blame him? Or any of them? They were daemons. Whether he meant to hurt you or not, it truly had only been a matter of time before it happened. It would be hypocritical of you to fear or hate him forever over this. Six of the seven brothers have threatened your life before, and you have forgiven them. Hell, one of them actually killed you. Whatâs more was that Diavoloâs wrath hadnât even been directed at you.
Wrong place at the right time; seemed to be your forte. âPlease, come in.â You repeat again firmer than before mustering up either courage or sheer human stupidity to order him in. You couldnât tell the difference anymore. âWe need to talk.â Â
He enters, following at your heel like a lost puppy. All air of princedom gone as you clicked the door shut. Diavolo fiddles with his hands, old habits from childhood coming with his nerves. He didnât know what to expect anymore. Yelling? Some kind of beratement? A plea to go home and never look back? Â He would let you.
You pass by him, giving him a large berth of space to get to your seat. âTea?â Â
Diavolo jerks his head to you. He had forgotten momentarily the plate of food he had used to get access to you. You smile sheepishly pushing it and a plate of sweets towards him with your unbandaged knuckles. He doesnât move till your hand retracts back to your lap. You jerk your head to the open seat waiting for him. You werenât going to take no for an answer.
âI- thank you.â The daemon sits making himself as small as possible in the straight back chair. He takes the porcelain and drinks mindlessly. The scalding hot tea doing little to help the tightness of his throat, but it did thaw some of the ice in his mind.
âAre-howâŠâ He fumbles so unsure of what to do next. âI see youâve been keeping up with your school work.â Diavolo closes his eyes, wincing internally at his words. Thatâs what he comes up with? Idiotic.
You smile anyway, eyeing the massive pile of books and paperwork spewn about your bed. âYeah. Iâve taken to doing my school work with Levi in his room. Mammon and Beel are nice enough to drop it off to the teachers when they are due.â He nods. He knew this of course. But it was nice to hear it from you. But yet, you donât meet his eyes. Far too afraid to see what hid behind them.
The thought of being dragged back into those dark depths again makes your pulse quicken. You instead stare at your nail beds, finding them more interesting. They were purple now. The nails stained black by the contact with his magic. âWill- will that go away?â He asks. Demonic curses or taints were nigh impossible to remove fully. Disgustingly, he hoped they didnât. Then your nails would match his. The darker depths of his soul coo at the idea, happy that in a small way every daemon would know your his. Not as good as a pact, but as close as he could get to being a part of your little mortal life.
âIâm not sure.â You reply honestly bringing your hands up to place them on the table. âSimone and Solomon have done what they could. But, it is as good as itâs going to get for now. They say it could fade with time.â You look up at him, eyes gazing to the left of his face. âLuke thinks I should see a stronger angel.â Diavolo winces, the thought stung, and terrified him. âI told him no.â
That surprised him. This was your chance. The celestial realm had been skeptical from the beginning. If they knew, it would be a perfect caveat for them to step in. âWhy?â Finally you look at him. The fear was still there. Hesitation evident in your eyes. Yet you forced yourself to look at him, fighting through your trepidation.
âDid you mean what you said earlier? About your father and what you think of me?â
âOf course.â He replies without hesitation reaching for your cold hands. You flinch but donât move away. It felt-nice. His warmth chasing away the perpetual chill that covered your fingertips. Idly you stroke his strong hands with your thumbs.
âThen, I think we can work on this privately.â Slowly but surely you felt like you could fix this. Not for the program, but for yourself. Â

The Last Olympian Thoughts
So because I have absolutely 0 self-control or restraint when it comes to this series and its characters, and for The Last Olympian in particular, I could not put TLO down. Because of this I figured I couldnât do the usual photo reaction posts I have been so far, because the spam would just be ridiculous, so I am stealing the idea from @yourstrulytaaayâ to do a masterpost instead. (Adding a Read More cause this got ridiculously long)
Fun fact, TLO came out right after i finished reading the series for the first time so it's the first PJO book i bought and my only hard cover one for the og series. I checked the year and turns out it was published 2009, which means i was actually 9 when i read the series for the first time. I realize this is not really a fun fact but i thought i was older when I first read the series so it's blowing my mind a little âcause now Iâm 21 and everything hits different and i still have so much love for this series and the characters
Okay onto book thoughts:
- i was right that this book is gonna destroy me, the first line alone made me so excited and nostalgic it's ridiculous
- I love Rachel and Percy sm tbh. Her being a bit of peace and normalcy in his life without always reminding Percy of who and what he is is so good for him. Just a little escape
- of course by the end of the book that's not the case any more but by the end he's lived his prophecy so he doesn't need it as badly, plus he and Annabeth are solid again
- Percy saying Annabeth has been hard to be around lately... Ouch my heart. Luke really is the last thing that keeps them from being together and Percy is so jealous and Annabeth so torn and in pain, i feel so bad for them both
- Beckendorf đ„șđ„ș
- the telkhine with the Lil Demon lunchbox!! I forgot about him.
Percy: 'i left him alive, partly because his lunchbox was cool' is one of my absolute favourite lines tbh
- Paul taking Percy crabbing and being imperative in helping Percy kill the giant crab đ Paul Blofis is important and deserves the world, okay?
- aw Percy, you can't save every demigod bb
- 'i had to fight him eventually. Why not now?... What difference would a week make?' Oh Percy you have no idea
- real talk tho, the fact Kronos possessed Luke's body would also mess me tf up. Percy keeps forgetting it's not Luke anymore and yeah, that would be so so hard and confusing af, like what another smart little mind game for Kronos to pull on top of everything else
- the fact Percy fights Kronos before getting the Achilles Curse and actually doesn't die within seconds is... Astounding. He kicks him in the chest! And yeah Kronos is weaker and still adjusting to Luke's body, but Percy is having trouble fighting Luke cause they used to be friends
- Percy breaks Kronos' time magic!! Like?! Boy is POWERFUL.
- OUCH
- honestly Luke, Thalia and Annabeth's family breaking the way it did... Don't talk to me. Poor Annabeth, Luke betrayed them, Thalia joined the Hunters because of Luke's betrayal so she's pretty much AWOL all the time and then Luke dies. Like Rick wtf, my heart can't take it?
-Percy and Tyson having each others backs when talking to Poseidon in the underwater palace is the brother-brother relationship we love to see
- Percy trying to stick a sand dollar in the vending machines at school đ€Šđ»ââđ€Šđ»ââ
- the whole underwater interaction at Poseidon's palace? Perfection. Awkward family drama and all
- Connor falling out of the tree when he sees Percy because he's so excited đđ
- đđ
- k, ik Clarisse isn't perfect but tbh if i was a child of Ares whose father was disrespected and hated by my fellow campers (ares deserves it but still) and that disrespect trickled down to how the other campers treated ME (which if Percy is reliable here, it obviously does) then i would also be irritated at being used for muscle and nothing else? And just expected to fight with the people who act as if they'd rather not have Ares kids around the rest of the time. Like Clarisse isn't totally wrong
- Percy reading the prophecy, seeing he's meant to die and just being like 'i do not see it' and refusing to outright think about it makes me so sad for him
- (but it taints every action after and he's super reckless afterwards bc of it- including finally breaking and accepting the Achilles Curse)
- (also him taking this as the last straw and finally beginning to show Annabeth how he really feels, cause fuck it, he's dying anyway)
- Give me more info about Rachel's backstory and family Rick!!
-Â how did i forget Percy willingly eats chocolates that taste like cardboard because 'i didnt have anything against cardboard' like sir? Ik Silena didn't want them but still?
- 'she'd always been cute, but she was starting to be seriously beautiful' STOP, MY HEART CAN'T TAKE IT
- Percy staring at Annabeth and forgetting what they're talking about cause hes so distracted đđ»
- hmm yeah... For some strange reason....
- i forgot how Percy totally bombs this convo bw them and now want to cry đ Annabeth is trying to talk about what's important and Percy, you sweet oblivious man, you're shooting her down without even realizing
- love that they're both on the same wavelength tho. Percy two lines before, hmm it's cool to date ppl from other cabins, wonder why im thinking that around Annabeth, my best friend in the world, and then Annabeth a beat later, hmm, let me bring up Silena and Beckendorf and how it's important to be with the people you love when you have the chance, no way Percy will miss this huge hint right?
- they're the best
- k i honestly forgot Percy full on physically intimidates Leneus like that
- luke telling his mom if he ran away the monsters wouldnt get her..i can just imagine luke crying when he says good bye before running away because he thinks it's his fault his mom is like that and he cant take care of and protect her anymore because it's too hard
- uh oh now i have angsty pre-lightning thief luke fic inspo... Him, Thalia and Annabeth on the run... The ANGST
-Â Rick holds absolutely nothing back in this book and i am in pain
- HESTIA!! đđđ„°
- actual loml
- i love that Rick titled this book after her and that he wrote such a great series about the importance of family (biological, found or otherwise) and home, and that he said actually Hestia is the most important bc shes the most humble and keeps the peace and knows when to fight and when to yield and you protect what you love, which is your home
- i just... Adore Hestia
- Grover! Missed you babes
- Hades is so so horrible to Nico, always comparing him to Bianca :/
- but i do love Hades, Persephone and Demeter together they make me laugh
- oh god the River Styx
- Achilles đ„ș
- Annabeth being Percy's lifeline is, and continues to be, A Lotâą
- 'my name was Percy Jackson. I reached up and took Annabeth's hand.' LOL Why am i crying?
- Like the fact there is no Percy without Annabeth, and that remembering her literally reminded him of who he is in his very soul... It's fine im fine
- i won't even get into the parallels of her being his lifeline now and then later when Hera takes his memories but leaves the memory of Annabeth for Percy to fight to get back to (anyone who wants to yell about it with me... Feel free to message)
- badass Percy is my fav Percy tbh
- him defeating Hades?? Like? Hades is arguably the most powerful god, okay
- i feel bad for Nico but if i was Percy I'd do the exact same, Nico, sorry man but this is a high stakes time crunch deal and Nico is literally the only hope of persuading Hades and distracted by his own internal stuff
- flashbacks to Luke, Thalia and Annabeth hurt, ow
- George and Martha are the best
- damn i forgot Hermes full on nearly kills Percy here, yikes
- Luke stop cockblocking Percabeth challenge
- i love!! Percy's love for New York!! So much!!
- Percy leaving to live in New Rome in HoO is a lie and this is all the proof i need for why
- the fact the entire last half of the book is the battle and aftermath... Such great buildup and pacing. All the tricks and twists and battles in this War of Manhattan? I would not take out a thing, Rick, you legend
- of course then the final battle in hoo with the gods is what? Two pages? Ugh, donât talk to me about my hatred for BoO and HoO
- 'no detours you two' is still the cutest thing!!!
- THE HUNTERS!! Thalia i missed you
- good job Percy, you finally spent your sand dollar
- Minotaur!!
- 'dont i get a kiss for luck? Its kind of a tradition right?' Percy finds out he's gonna die and is out of fucks to give and honestly I support him
- also Michael just standing beside these two while they're flirting like umm đ đ while a monster army marches towards them, nbd
- Annabeth taking Ethan's knife meant for Percy!!! Cause she just knows his weak spot without him even telling her! They literally invented love
- Feral Percy is so scary omg, i love how well Rick incorporates the Achilles Curse in this novel, with the whole heightened weaknesses and stuff ans the parallels to Achilles arrogance being what killed him and Percy's loyalty, fierceness and protective instinct being his own heightened weakness
- the fact that Percy is the one who inadvertantly kills Michael Yew tho, I'll never recover from that
- the fact Hades offers Maria di Angelo a golden palace by the Styx like how Poseidon offers Sally a palace under the sea tho. Let's talk about that parallel
- the entire talk with Prometheus is so so good
- not me picturing young Luke hiding in the closet to get away from his mom when she has an 'episode'
-i love callbacks in stories and all of the callbacks to the rest of the series in this book make me very happy (medusa, minotaur, the underworld, Rainbow!! My baby!!, Daedalus and more)
- Percy summoning a wholeass hurricane against Hyperion
- the Party Ponies! They're so chaotic, i love it
- Dionysus! đ I can't help it, i love him
- Percy absolutely losing it when he sees Sally and Paul asleep in the car đ„ș
- Rachel telling Percy he's not the hero screws with him so much :( poor bb
- although i really really love how Rick wrote this, it's so refreshing to not have one chosen one save the world, but a combination of people
- the drakon, Silena and Clarisse make me cry
- the Patrochilles references, im not okay
- Annabeth giving up on Luke after hearing what he did to Silena and Percy telling her that doesn't make him happy đ that whole interaction makes my heart ache
- Percy giving Hestia Pandora's pithos đ„ș
- and Hades, Nico and the others coming for a final attack is so badass, i love it
- listen im glad the og trio were the ones to confront Luke on Olympus but the fact Thalia got so close and then pinned by a statue of HERA makes me so sad. Ik her and Luke were finished and she coped by cutting him off completely and giving up all hope but i would pay money to know what they would have said to each other to say goodbye
- Ethan đ„ș
- Poseidon joining the fight against Typhon is so cool, such a great scene
- 'PEANUT BUTTER!'
- Annabeth you brilliant badass you
- RIP Luke, you werent great but you werent the worst either
- the gods just rolling up seconds too late, wondering wtf happened in Olympus and who the dead body is
- the chapter where the Olympians meet and give out rewards is one of my absolute favourites (again i am incensed we didn't get anything like this in HoO)
- will Percy turning down immortality ever not make me scream in glee? No? Alright then
- Annabeth being relieved like Percy was relieved at the end of Titan's Curse tho
- oh Hermes :/
- its so hard reading all this and knowing what comes in HoO... Like it's such a cathartic, earned and mostly happy and peaceful ending and then HoO comes along and undermines it all
- aww Rick let Paul see Olympus somehow pls, he deserves it, he killed a dracanae
- (i would also love to see it)
- Percy being more upset Rachel took his pegasus than her going to Camp and possibly dying, lol, priorities dude
- i honestly think that Rick had other ideas for the second Great Prophecy and how things would go down in BoO, cause the prophecy like... Barely applies to BoO, Doors of Death are in book four, and explabations of it is all so unclear when Rick is usually pretty good with that stuff
- PERCABETH
- lol Percy complaining about privacy when he and Annabeth are caught kissing literally in the middle of the very open and public dining pavilion, okay
- BEST UNDERWATER KISS OF ALL TIME
- that's it and im a glass case of emotion
- very happy to say that this series remains my favourite of all time đ
If anyone ever wants to come gush about anything Riordanverse related feel free, because as you can see I have a lot of thoughts about it all

âą
Seven: Careless Whisper
You and Kuroo took the train downtown. He wouldnât tell you where you were going, except that you would like it. You were still unsure whether or not this was a date, or just his attempt to be nice to you. Regardless, you liked having Kuroo all to yourself.
You walked down the lightly lit streets. Surprisingly it was busy, people bustling around from restaurants to clubs. Youâd be lying if you said you didnât enjoy the nightlife.
Kuroo led you to a dark alley, where there was a line of people trying to get inside of a building. Kuroo skipped the line and stood in front of the bouncer.
âHey back of the line kid,â the guy said. You looked at Kuroo with a concerned expression. Kuroo smiled.
âKuroo Tetsurou,â he said. The bouncers eyes widened.
âOh Iâm terribly sorry sir. You two enjoy your night.â The bouncer moved from in front of the door to let you two in. You looked at Kuroo, confused.
âUm how did you do that?â You asked. Kuroo laughed.
âKenma has a lot of connections,â he smirked. You nodded.
Once inside, Kuroo led you downstairs to the scene of blaring music, people dancing, and flashing lights.
âIs this some kind of rave?â You asked.
âYou could say that. One of Kenmaâs gamer friends owns this club so he lets us come free of charge,â he explained.
âHow come youâve never brought me here before?â
âWell I went with Bokuto, Kenma, and Akaashi once and Bokuto was just a mess so I havenât been back since. But itâs a good time, trust me.â Kuroo took your hand and led you to the pit.
~
The flashing lights and crowd of people was enough to give you that extra boost of confidence. You looked good and you felt good, so you knew that this was your chance to get Kuroo to see you as more than a friend. You and Kuroo danced carelessly, as if it was only you two in there. He would take your hand and spin you around, admiring this bolder side of you. You felt every beat of the music bounce off your skin. You felt alive in this moment. Kuroo noticed it too.
After maybe an hour of reckless dancing, you got a little thirsty.
âLetâs grab a drink,â suggested Kuroo. You followed him over to the bartender.
âTwo gin and tonics, please,â said Kuroo. The bartender nodded and began to prepare your drinks. Kuroo looked devilishly handsome. The thin layer of sweat on his forehead from all the dancing you two had done and his perfectly messy hair was something you never got tired of looking at.
âHere you go.â The bartender placed the drinks in front of you two.
âYou can put that on Kenma Kozumeâs tab,â said Kuroo. You giggled.
âCheers?â You held your drink to Kuroo. He smiled and tapped your glasses together.
âY/N?â Kuroo looked at you tenderly.
âYeah?â Is he gonna say it?
âI-uh-â
âHI THERE GORGEOUS!â You felt an arm wrap around you, and it certainly wasnât Kurooâs. You looked to see a scruffy guy, obviously drunk.
âExcuse me?â You said, pushing the guy away.
âWoah sheâs got an attitude! I like it!â The guy said. Kuroo grabbed your arm, pulling you towards him.
âHey man, leave her alone,â he ordered. The guy laughed.
âLook kid, Iâm sure sheâd rather be with a man than a boy right now. So why donât you hit the road?â
Kuroo became instantly aggravated.
âKuroo, letâs just go,â you whispered. Kuroo moved to stand in front of you.
âI said leave her alone.â He repeated. You started getting nervous.
âKuroo please-â
âCome on pretty lady, why donât you spend some time with me-â The guy grabbed your arm and yanked you towards him.
âGet off of me!â You yelled. Before you knew it, you heard a large CRACK and a CRASH.
Kuroo had punched the guy.
In the face.
And now he was unconscious, on the floor.
You gasped, before being led away by Kuroo.
âSorry dude but I donât have time for jackasses,â he said. You and Kuroo ran to the emergency exit, forcing the fire alarm on.
âShit!â
You and Kuroo ran outside but you didnât make it too far. You were tripping on your own feet from your heels. Kuroo noticed your hurting feet, and picked you up bridal style, running away from the club.
~
Everything happened so fast. You were still trying to process what even happened. Kuroo continued to carry you until you got to the train station. You boarded the train and Kuroo set you down in your seat.
âA-are you okay?â He asked.
âIâm okay, are you okay?â You said softly. Kuroo sighed.
âI canât believe I brought you there, that was so stupid.â
âHey it wasnât your fault. That guy was just a drunk mess. And anyway, I still had fun,â you smiled. You took Kurooâs hand with yours.
âWait your hand!â You looked to see that his knuckles were bleeding.
âOh yeah. I mustâve hit that guy harder than I thought,â he laughed.
âWhen we get home we should put some ice on it, okay?â You said. Kuroo nodded. Kuroo looked a little distraught. You rested your head on his shoulder.
âThank you,â you whispered. Kuroo blushed.
~
You took your keys and unlocked the door to your apartment. You headed straight for the freezer, taking a plastic bag and filling it with ice. You went over to Kuroo, who was sitting on the couch.
âHere, give me your hand,â you ordered. Kuroo gave you his beaten up hand and you gently put the ice bag on it. He winced a little at the cold sensation.
âWe should probably wrap it with a bandage later too,â you suggested. He nodded. You kept your eyes on Kurooâs large hand, as it rested on your leg with the ice pack on top. You held the bag in place for him. Kuroo kept his eyes on you, without you even realizing it.
âI didnât think you had that kind of power in you,â you joked. Kuroo didnât say anything. He took his free hand and placed it on your cheek. You flinched at his touch and looked at him.
âKurooâŠâ
âY/NâŠâ
You took a deep breath.
âKuroo I-Iâm in love with you. Like deeply in love with you. Iâve never loved anyone but you and I donât think I ever will. I know this is a long shot and youâve shut me down before but if I donât tell you now I donât think I ever will. Youâre my best friend but youâre also so much more to me than that. Itâs okay if you donât feel the same but I canât hold it in anymore. And that night at the party when Oikawa told everyone that I like you, he was being serious because god damnit Kuroo Tetsurou I like you. Well really, I love you.â
Your heart was beating out of your chest. Your face felt like a million degrees. Kuroo didnât react. He simply leaned in, placing a kiss on your forehead.
âI know,â he said. Your eyes grew.
âWhat?â
âI know,â he repeated.
âYou know?!â
âOf course I know. Iâve known forever. Youâre really bad at hiding your emotions,â he laughed. You were in shock.
âWait but at the party-â
âI wanted to hear it from you, not Oikawa. I knew youâd tell me when you were ready,â he smiled. Your brain couldnât process the words coming from his mouth.
âSo all this time youâve just been mentally torturing me?â You huffed. Kuroo laughed.
âCome on Y/N, I know you better than you know yourself. I probably knew you liked me before you did.â
âOh my godâŠâ
âWell better late than never right?â You looked down and sighed.
âWait but do you...you know...do youâŠ?â You stuttered out. Kuroo took his index finger and placed it under your chin, tilting your head up to look at him.
âOf course I do. Iâd be stupid not to. I love you.â
As soon as the words left Kurooâs mouth, his lips were pressed against yours. Kuroo shook the ice pack off of his hand and pulled you on top of him. He gripped onto your thighs as you ran your fingers through his messy hair. He tilted his head slightly to kiss you better. Your arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer to you. Without realizing it, you started slowly rocking your hips back and forth against him. He let out a faint groan. Kuroo then quickly tucked his arms under your legs and picked you up, leading you to his room.
~
Kuroo laid you down on his bed, hovering over you as he continued to kiss you. You began to unbutton his shirt and tossed it aside. Kuroo lifted your dress over your head and threw it onto the floor. He moved to start kissing and sucking on your neck, doing his best to leave marks on your sensitive skin. You let out faint moans every time he would release his lips from you.
âKuroo...pleaseâŠâ you sighed. He moved to look at you, kissing your lips.
âWhat is it baby?â
âI want you,â you said. Kurooâs eyes grew. He bent back down to kiss you before reaching in his back pocket for his phone.
âWhat are you doing?â You asked, beginning to unbuckle his belt. Kuroo set his phone down on his nightstand.
âA little music never hurt.â
Kuroo helped you pull his pants down. He hovered above you now just in his boxers. He continued to kiss you passionately, your hands gripped firmly onto his biceps.
Suddenly, the song that began to play seemed vaguely familiar. The saxophone played a tune that youâve heard before.
Is he playingâŠ
âKuroo?â You broke away from his kiss. He raised a brow.
âYeah?â
âDo you know what song this is?â Kuroo tilted his head in confusion.
âUhhâŠâ
âTONIGHT THE MUSIC SEEMS SO LOUD! I WISH THAT WE COULD LOSE THIS CROWD! BABY!â
You put your hand over your mouth to cover your laughs.
âWhat? Whatâs so funny?â asked Kuroo, moving from on top of you.
You bursted out laughing. Kurooâs face flushed red.
âKuroo, did you make this playlist?â
âNo, Oikawa made it for me.â
You began to laugh even harder.
Oikawa you cruel cruel boy.
âOh Kuroo, this song is a jokeâŠâ you cupped your hands on his cheeks, trying to stop laughing. Kuroo pouted.
âThatâs the last time I ever let Oikawa give me music suggestions,â he groaned. You giggled, giving him a kiss.
âYouâre so cute and clueless sometimes,â you joked. Kuroo smiled, pulling you back onto his lap.
âCan we stillâŠ?â he begged. You laughed and kissed his head.
âYeah...just please, turn this song off.â

Rewind Chapter 7 - Mistakes are Made
Oh jeez, I mean to post this days ago but I totally forgot! Whoops.
As you might have noticed, updates are coming pretty slow at the moment. This fic is getting hard to write, due to personal circumstances and shifting hyperfixations, but I will continue it once Iâm able to get invested again. Until then, updates will probably be slow. Rest assured, this fic will be completed!
Hope you guys enjoy this chapter :)
_______________________________________________________________
After a few more necessary hours of sleep, which for Ford were deep and dreamless, the construction itself began in two different corners of the lab. On one side Fiddleford dove into making a working prototype of the gun, while on the other side Ford began cooking up ammunition.
Few things could kill a dream demon. Protective unicorn magic could halt one, and the right concoction of ingredients could harm one, but working together they might just be able to kill one. Therein lay the rub â how could the two be combined into a single shot? Luckily, Ford didnât have his three PHDs for nothing, and he was nothing if not persistent.

By mid-morning he had worked out the necessary ratio of ingredients for the most effective attack power. By afternoon he had created the first prototype, and by late afternoon he had a dish full of them.
The final bullet design had a pill-like appearance, spherical in shape and filled to the brim with cloudy, iridescent magic. They made a glass-like tinkering noise as they dropped into their dish. Ford took a pair of tweezers and lifted one to the light, admiring its shine.
âThat looks cool.â Stan said hesitantly from behind him â how long had Stan been being him? Ford yelped and fumbled, nearly dropping the capsule. âSorry.â
âDonât sneak up on me when Iâm working!â Ford snapped. He hurriedly placed the ammunition back on its tray before it could get broken and turned to frown at his brother. Stan, for his part, looked suitably ashamed. âWhat are you doing down here anyway? I told you, youâre not allowed in the lab.â
âI know, I know!â Stanâs shoulders were around his ears and creeping steadily higher with each second that passed. âJust â I thought you and Fidds would be hungry? Youâve been doing your science thing for ages and I made food, soâŠâ
âOh.â For the first time, Ford comprehended the tray in his brotherâs hands. âWell, thank you. Youâre still not supposed to be down here though.â
Stan stood on his tiptoes to lift the tray onto Fordâs workbench. The normally exuberant boy seemed unusually down, stepping back and rubbing his arm after placing down his load, and a twinge of guilt went through Ford. Okay, maybe a little more than a twinge. He sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose.
âLook â Stanley. I need to apologize for my behaviour earlier. I shouldnât have gotten short with you.â
Stan shrugged and did not meet his eyes. Ford crouched to be at his brotherâs level.
âI. Um, those dreams you told me about. Did you have any more last night?â
Stan stared at his feet and mumbled, âNo.â
Ford took a deep breath, but before he could speak Fiddleford called out from across the lab.
âStanford, I could use a hand over here!â
Ford straightened and hurried over to where his partner was soldering parts together. The gun was beginning to take shape on his workbench â maybe the size of a small hunting rifle but thicker, runes scratched into every inch of shiny metal and shimmering with Bill-proof magic. Fiddleford lifted his soldering mask to wipe his damp forehead.
âI already added yer magic wards and the last of that shiny hair stuff, anâ I gotta finish the magazine. Hold the thing steady for me, will ya? Itâs delicate and weâre all outta unicorn hair to make another one, so for godâs sake be careful.â
âOf course.â Ford slipped on a pair of heat-proof gloves and steadied the rifle while Fiddleford lined up the parts. He made sure to avert his eyes from the glow of white-hot metal as his friend worked.
âWatcha doing?â Stanley called from across the lab.
âAttachinâ the last piece.â Fiddleford called back, not taking his eyes off the rifle. âDonât get to close, or ya might get burned.â
âWhat bit is that?â
âItâs where the ammunition is stored.â Fiddleford explained.
âOh! Like the shiny things Ford made?â
âExactly.â
Once the soldering was complete Fiddleford lifted his mask to inspect the job, squinting through his glasses. He nodded to himself.
âCould use a bit aâ fine-tuning, but Iâd call that almost done.â
Footsteps sounded as Stanley approached cautiously. Fiddleford grinned at the child, who stretched onto his tiptoes to see the project. âWhaddya think?â
Stanâs eyes lit up. âThat looks so cool! This Bill guy isnât gonna know what hit âim!â He looked between Ford and Fiddleford. âWhaddya do with it now?â
âWe gotta make sure everythinâ runs smoothly before anything.â Fiddleford pulled off his soldering mask and wiped his sweaty brow. âFord, would ya get the ammunition? Once this thing cools down I wanna make sure the dimensions are right.â He began pulling off his thick gloves.
âI can do that!â Stan scurried over to Fordâs workbench, ignoring Fordâs cry. He grabbed the dish of capsules and trotted back with the enthusiasm of a golden retriever playing fetch. Ford let out a hiss.
âBe careful with those!â He snatched them from his brotherâs hands, heart racing. The ammunition seemed unharmed, but you could never be too careful, especially when there was a child around. Especially when there was Stanley around. He acted so thoughtlessly sometimes, that was the reason Ford hadnât allowed him down here in the first place!
Stan looked sufficiently ashamed. âSorry, Ford.â
Ford placed the bullets down very carefully next to the cooling rifle. âWhy donât you go upstairs? This is delicate work.â
âBut you guys seem really busy. I can help!â
âNo, Stan. This is very important work and you might break something.â
âNo, but Iâm good at stuff!â Stan protested. âI can carry stuff, and punch people, and get unicorn hair! I can be useful. You wanna move this to a bigger table? I can do it, see?â And to Fordâs horror he grabbed the gun off the table. Ford snatched for it, but Stan had already yelped as his bare hands came into contact with scorching metal and the rifle slipped from his grip.
Fiddleford dove to catch it. He crashed chest-first into the ground and only barely managed to snag it before it was dashed against the floor as well. The ammunition was not so lucky â the dish overturned in the scuffle and pellets skittered every which way, disappearing under surfaces and around shoes. Stan fumbled to try and collect them, but he was only making it worse, knocking them away in his panic.
âSorry, sorry sorry sorry-â
âI said no!â Ford roughly grabbed his brotherâs arm and yanked him away from the workspace, ignoring Stanâs yelp. âEvery time, every time I think weâre past this you just have to go and mess everything up again! Are you not capable of doing what I say for once in your life and just leaving well enough alone? I told you not to touch anything! You could well have destroyed our one chance at getting rid of Cipher once and for all!â
âIâm sorry, okay?!â Stan whined and tried to pull away â dodging responsibility once again, just like always. Ford growled and held him in place.
âNow, Stanley, youâ quit squirming! â you will sit down and be quiet and not touch anything else, is that understood?â
âFord, leggo!â Stan squeaked.
âYou are to stay away from Fiddleford and I while we work. I will not have you sabotaging me again, not like you did at the science fair-â
Stan punched him in the face.
It was a weak blow from a tiny fist â it barely hurt â but the shock at having his brother strike him made Ford freeze. Stan ripped from his grip and stumbled back with a whimper that sounded dangerously like a sob.
âŠoh.
Ford didnât even have to look at his brotherâs pale, tearstained face to realize that he had, perhaps, gone a little overboard.
âStanley-â Ford couldnât think of anything to say. What was there to say? Stan looked terrified, and Ford supposed he cut a rather intimidating figure to such a small person. He reached out but Stan jerked away violently from his hand.
Why wasnât Stan getting mad at him in return? The Stan Ford knew would have yelled right back. Ford could handle anger, but he had no idea how to handle fear.
âStan, Iâm sorry, I shouldnât haveâŠâ
He reached out again, helplessly. The instant his fingertips touched Stanâs shoulder the child recoiled, throwing his hands up as if to defend himself. But surely he knew Ford would never hurt him?
âNo! No no no donât touch me leave me alone! Go away! I hate you and I donât ever wanna see you again go away!â
Ford flinched, and Stan took the opportunity to spin on his heel and bolt for the stairs. Ford froze, torn between chasing after him and staying to clean up the mess.
âFord, a little help!â Fiddleford yelped, and Ford made up his mind. He whipped around and hurried to help his friend lift the rifle back onto his workbench. As he took the weight of the rifle Fiddleford snatched his hands back, wincing at the bright red burns that seared across his palms. âOuch.â
Ford was careful to keep away from the hot section of metal as he lifted the gun back onto the table. When it was secure he was finally able to take a breath and turn to his friend.
âFiddleford, are you alright?â
âAhâm fine, just gotta get these in some water. Whereâd Stanley go?â
âI â I donât know.â
Fiddlefordâs eyes widened. âIf he goes outside the barrier-â
There were more words, but Ford had stopped processing them. He bolted for the stairs.
 Stan was such an idiot.
He hadnât even stopped to put on shoes before running into the woods, and he already couldnât feel his toes from the stinging cold. Well, who cared anyway? He just had to get away.
Stanâs numb foot caught on a root and sent him hurtling to the ground, grating his face and hands on frigid, snowy dirt. He let out a squeaking wheeze as the air left his squashed lungs, letting out little hitching coughs and sobs as he struggled to regain his breath.
Shut up shut up shut up, stop being such a wimp. He pushed himself up on shaky arms and sniffled, rubbing at his nose with a pathetic whimper.
Okay. So, everything was crashing down around him. That was fine. Everything was just fine. He still had â um.
What did he have?
There was something in his fist. Stan sniffed and uncurled his fingers to reveal a tiny shimmering pearl resting in his palm. He stared at it, blinking tears from his eyes.
âWhat the heck are you?â
Oh, wait. It was one of Fordâs bullet things. Stanâs grip tightened around it, that stupid little ball that was so important to his brother.
He placed it on the ground, climbed to his feet, and lifted a foot to stomp down on it.
And hesitated.
Because it was stupid, but Ford seemed to think these were so important, and Stan just couldnât crush something that meant that much to his brother. He hiccupped and growled to himself.
He couldnât do it.
Stan shoved it in his pocket and headed further into the woods.
 Stan wasnât in the house.
A quick, desperate search revealed Fordâs home empty. Luckily a fresh layer of snow lay on the ground outside â a trail of footprints disappeared into the woods and he bolted after them, snatching his coat on his way out. Of all the places to go! The forest wasnât safe, Ford had to get his brother back inside the barrier where Bill couldnât reach them-
His foot slipped on wet snow.
Ford barely had time to flail before his legs slipped from under him and his head hit a tree trunk with a decisive clunk.

another long day
crimson and bluebell: part two
summary:
Marinette Rossi is tired of everything: from Lilaâs constant berating and Madame Rossiâs preferential care of her âangel-likeâ daughter, to how everyone at school (even Alya) seems to believe her evil stepsister over her.
Itâs like sheâs Cinderella, except without the fairy godmother and the happy ending. She doesnât even have a prince.
Or so she thinks.
Between the appearance of a new boy who seems to have captured her heart, and a gala run by her fashion idol Gabriel Agreste, Marinette hopes for an escape the constant ignorance, workload, and bullying she endures, and get a blissful life of her own.
With the help of one tiny god and a meow-velous partner, she might finally get a chance, but not everything is that simple.
They say ladybugs are lucky, so will being the elusive Ladybug bring Marinette the luck she oh-so-desperately needs?

a/n: so hi again, itâs me, n! im so so so sorry that i didnât post for a long time, school caught up with me and everythingâs getting v stressful these days. regardless, my new yearâs resolution is to post more of these, and iâll actively make an effort to do that hehe, in the meantime, enjoy!
also iâm appalled at the fact that this was 15 pages long and took more than a month to write how are you doing
Marinette had thought that the whole coffee spill, glass breaking fiasco would be relatively easy to clean.
She was wrong.
It takes her all of 10 minutes to clean up the glass, and another 20 minutes to try and clean up the coffee.
Key word: try.
Marinette ends up at school 30 minutes late, the coffee-stained carpet rolled off to the side at home, effectively ruined. She hasnât even thought about the cracked glass table yet, which she hid by placing a tissue over top of it after Lila left.
Needless to say, all of this puts a little bit of a damper on her day.
As Marinette walks up the staircase of Francois Dupont, the school she goes to, she spots Alya Cesaire inside. Alya is Marinetteâs closest friend, and despite having moved to Paris only a year ago, it feels like Marinette has known her for their entire lives.
âGirl, girl, girlâŠâ Alya sighs as Marinette walks through the doors. Itâs a free period, and students litter the area. Marinette spots Lila walking with one of her friends on the other side of the school, and luckily, Lila doesnât see her.
Thereâs one good thing about school that Marinette adores: she doesnât have to see Lila. Lilaâs always had Madame Mendeleev for homeroom, and Marinetteâs had Madame Bustier. Because of this, their schedules never interact, which allows Marinette to avoid Lila for the duration of the school day.
âIâm so sorry!â Marinette pleads, running up to Alya and shrugging her backpack off her shoulder. âThere was a coffee spill, and glass broke, and-OH GOD I MISSED THE MATH TEST!!!â
âMarinette, chill,â Alya laughs. âThe math test got rescheduled, but Ms.Bustier is pretty mad about you being late,â
Marinette sighs. âThatâs a relief,â
âBut you still missed a lot of news~,â Alya says, singing the last word.
Alya aspires to be a journalist, so on the occasions that Marinette wasnât late, Alya would give her anything and everything interesting sheâd dug up that week.
"I know, I know," Marinette sighs, fingers loosely picking at her shirt again. The seams stay intact, but Marinette's mind doesn't. The coffee spill and the glass breaking is constantly on her mind; she's not sure what to do.Â
"Nice shirt, girl," Alya smiles, breaking Marinette away from her thoughts. Alya's good at that, and she notices when Marinette lets her mind wander, something that happens a little too often for her tastes. "Did you make it?"Â
Marinette bursts into a grin. "Yes! I used that gorgeous thread that Sabine bought last week for my birthday, you know, the one I kept talking about, and it was absolutely amazing! I had to make this! What do you think? Do you like it?"Â
The shirt is simple; a white base with flowers of varying sizes lining the edge. Marinette pairs it with her old, pink jeans (the fabric for the flowers on her shirt came from some leftover ones she had when making the jeans) and a dark-gray blazer that Lila used to own.Â
"It's beautiful," Alya smiles, "But hey, Iâm more excited for you-know-whoâs reaction,"Â
Marinette rolls her eyes, hiding her face as an involuntary blush rises to her face. "Alya! You know I don't like him like that!,"Â
Alya grins. "Just teasing,"Â
âWell, anyways, tell me what I missed during lunch, Iâm off to the classroom, before Ms. Bustier comes looking for me,â Marinette smiles, turning and running up the stairs.Â
âGood luck, girl!â Alya says, waving goodbye and pulling out her phone.Â
âGood luck, girl!â Alya says, waving goodbye and pulling out her phone.
The day passes quickly, and lunch comes sooner than Marinette expects.
She meets Alya outside of Francois Dupont, and they both head to Ville de SoirĂ©e, a cafe which isnât nearly as expensive as the others in the area. They both order their usuals, and sit in one of the booths as they wait for their drinks.
Marinette sighs and leans back. âOk, ok, tell me,â
Alya, who is most probably on the verge of exploding from her excitement, gears up. âOk, so you know Nino, right?â
âYou mean the boy youâve been obsessing over since we met him?â Marinette teases. âOh hey, I might have an inkling,â
Alya blushes, her cheeks tinting rouge. âShut up,â
Marinette giggles. âOk, go on,â
âAnyway, Nino texted me yesterday that his parents finally agreed, and heâll be starting school starting Monday next week!â
âAh! Thatâs so exciting! Iâm so happy for you!â Marinette laughs. âNow you can actually make a move!â
âDonât get ahead of yourself, Iâll let you play matchmaker when the time comes,â Alya laughs, âthereâs also something else, and this one I know youâll be even happier about,â
The barista interrupts Alya, placing two steaming drinks in front of them. They both reach for their drinks, with Marinette holding the cup in her hand and Alya taking a sip. She grins.
âNinoâs friend, you know, Adrien Agreste, is also coming too,â
She pulls back, looking smug as she tries to read Marinetteâs face.
The girl in question sighs, shaking her head. âWho even is Adrien, and why does everyone keep mentioning him to me?â
Alya facepalms, groaning.
âGirl, sometimes I swear you live under a rock,â Alya sighs, shaking her head. âHow do you not know who Adrien Agreste is? His ads are literally everywhere!â
Marinette pouts. âWell maybe I just havenât seen him,â
Alya rolls her eyes and shakes her head. âOhh no, thereâs no way youâve missed him ,â
She pulls up her phone and momentarily scrolls as Marinette waits.
âHere,â she says, âThatâs him,â
The photo on Alyaâs screen is from last February, Marinette recognizes. She remembers how Lila bought a copy of the magazine it came in, although she wasnât allowed to see it.
But the boy is familiar. His face is similar to someoneâs, but Marinette canât pinpoint who itâ
Oh.
Oh.
Heâs Gabriel Agresteâs son.
Marinette leans back.
âThatâs Monsieur Agresteâs son! I shouldâve known, how could I have missed it when Madame Rossi told us about him?â
Alya squints her eyes. âWait what?â
âThereâs a fashion show that Adrienâs dad is hosting, and the embassyâs holding a huge event to greet all the fashion officials that are coming. Madame Rossi got us all passes to go,â Marinette says.
âThatâs the one my momâs cooking for! Itâs next weekend right? She would not stop talking about it all weekend. I can try and score a pass, to you know, keep you company?â
Marinette gasps suddenly, burying her face in her hands, âAh! I forgot! I wonât be able to go, since Liâ I mean I, spilled coffee all over our new carpet,â
Alya raises an eyebrow.
âFine, fine, I cracked some glass too,â Marinette sighs, face growing redder. âMadame Rossiâs gonna ground me for sure!â
Alya shakes her head. âSomehow I can believe it. You are the clumsiest person I know,â
She nods thoughtfully, fingers closing around the fox necklace on her neck. âWell I canât deal with the whole glass situation, but maybe I can help with the coffee stuff? Happens to my mom all the time,â
Marinette perks up. âReally? Would you? Oh thank you Alya!â
Alya laughs. âNo problem girl, Iâll come by after your shift at the bakery,â
Marinette pauses. After work would be...when Lila comes home.
Alya has always been a fan of Lila, but despite knowing Marinette, sheâs only admired Marinetteâs less-than-wonderful sister from afar. This means that so far, Marinette has managed to keep Alya and Lila separate.
Does she really want to risk that?
Weighing in the situation, she sighs. Would she rather have a shot at attending a potentially life-changing event, or safely escape Alya meeting Lila?
Knowing the both of them, Marinette remembers, theyâd be a deadly combo.
But Marinette really wants to go to the event so, maybe this time, she might just give in.
âGreat!â Marinette says, happiness laced with fear. âThatâs...great!
Alya nods, smiling, watching as Marinette giggles.
âNow about setting you up with NinoâŠâ
Alya turns away, blushing, âMarinette!â
Today
Lie-la đ: sup loser
Lie-la đ: im going to the mall with my friends after school
Lie-la đ: if my mom comes in early
Lie-la đ: you know what to say
Lie-la đ: type, maribrat. use those lousy fingers.
You: yea, sure lila.
Lie-la đ: good.
Marinette sighs and pockets her phone. For today, she is safe.
And thatâs all she has ever wanted.
Marinetteâs day ends with her feeling happier than when it began. Alyaâs coming over to wash out the coffee stain, Lila wonât be there when she gets home, and sheâs heading to her shift at the bakery!
Itâs normal for work to not be exciting to most people, but for Marinette, it always is. Heading to the Dupain-Cheng bakery is always the highlight of her day, and working there is even better. The owners, Sabine and Tom, are like the parents she never had, what with them spoiling her with all the food they give and teaching her how to bake. Customers even tell Marinette all the time that she looks strikingly similar to Sabine, but she doesnât see it.
In truth, sheâs only ever even thought about becoming a designer because of the Dupain-Chengs, and if it werenât for their motivation, sheâs sure that she would be in a much different place right now.
But thatâs not what Marinette worries about right now. Despite school ending early and the bakery being right across the street from where she is, she still manages to be late.
She exchanges a quick goodbye with Alya, who chuckles at her frazzled state, and dashes off towards work.
âIâm here!â she shouts, running into the bakery, the familiar jingle of the storeâs doorâs bell ringing in her ears. âSorry!
Sabine laughs as she hands a box of pastries to a customer, waving as they leave. âJust on time. Hello Marinette,â Â
Marinette winces as Sabine holds out her apron. âSorry again, Sabine!â
Tom laughs from the kitchen behind the store, the sound booming through the bakery. âMarinette!â
âTom!â Marinette says back, her lips curving into a smile.
Sabine eyes Marinette as she ties the apron behind her, quickly joining the older woman behind the counter.
âSo?â she asks. âWhatâs new with you?â
Marinette sighs. âNot much, not much...oh! Madame Rossi has an embassy gathering to welcome a couple of famous people into France. And not just any people, people who work in the fashion industry!â
Sabine nods, smiling at Marinetteâs delight. âAnd why exactly are these people coming?â
âItâs for the Gabriel event. I donât know when it is, but apparently Gabriel Agreste is holding a huge gala, something about searching for a fashion assistant?,â
Sabine perks up at fashion assistant. âMarinette, you should enter!â
Marinette gasps. âI couldnât! Thereâs no way! I mean, my designs are barely adequate, let alone Agreste worthy!â
Sabine shakes her head. âEveryone knows that isnât true. Donât put yourself down like that!â
Marinette blushes. âThanks Sabine,â
The woman smiles. âWell, anyways, are you allowed to go to the embassy event? Itâs a great opportunity, you wouldnât want to miss it,â
âI mean, Madame Rossi did invite me and Lila, but Lila spilled a bunch of coffee on the carpet, and cracked the dining table this morning. Itâs all a stunt, she did it on purpose. Sheâs blaming it on me, which means Iâll get grounded, and I wonât be able to go, and you know thereâs nothing I can do about that,â
Sabine sighs, placing a hand on Marinetteâs shoulder. âOh dear. The next time I see Lila, Iâll tell Tom to get that girl and her mother arrested!â
Marinette laughs. âAs much as Iâd like that, where would I live?â
The rumble of the oven from behind the store dies down, and Tom walks into the main room. The room seems friendlier all at once, his large personality filling the space.
âHere, with us,â he declares proudly. âYouâre like a daughter already,â
Marinette giggles, her cheeks growing red. âAlright guys, weâll see,â
Sabine and Tom laugh as Marinette runs away to help a customer. Their afternoons with Marinette pass by quickly, and while they wish it was longer, you know what they say: time flies when you're having fun.
By the time Marinette gets off her shift, itâs 5:30 in the evening. Parisâs sky starts to fade from its normal cotton-candy blue to a marmalade orange. The hustle and bustle of the busy streets start to die down, and once she texts her address to Alya, Marinette makes her way to the bus stop.
While her time in the bakery is her favorite time of day, her time on the bus doesnât prove to be too bad either. She likes the quiet silence, and enjoys her time away from the world around her.
The bus is probably her favorite mode of transportation (but her only one as well). When she volunteered to work at the bakery after school, Madame Rossi decided that âthe streets were too dark at night for Marinette to walk aloneâ, and she was given a bus pass.
It was a small and random act of kindness that Marinette wouldnât ever get again. It was also the only gift she ever got from her adopted mother, and despite not being too fond of Madame Rossi, she did treasure the gift.
Madame Rossi paid for her bus rides until Marinette was actually hired at the bakery. It was then that she decided to have Marinette pay her own bills, an action that most certainly helped Marinette for the future.
The sound of tires skidding against the pathway jolts Marinette out of her thoughts. She turns to see her normal bus waiting in front of her, and grabbing her bus pas, waits in line behind a couple others to get on.
That is, until she sees whatâs about to happen.
Marinette watches as a man across the street tries to cross. Heâs old, as his grayed hair and aged face tells, but his most identifiable quality is the red Hawaiian shirt he wears, embossed with a white hibiscus floral pattern.
Besides that, thereâs also a car coming straight for him, and though itâs a little while away, thereâs no doubt that heâll get hit.
Marinette does the only thing she can think of. She runs.
The street is narrow, and Marinette manages to pull the man across the pathway before the car comes. She huffs, turning to the man to smile.
He has an odd look in his eyes, lips curved into a mysterious smile as Marinette quirks her eyebrow.
âThank you, young lady,â he nods.
âYouâre welcome!â she smiles, turning to look at the bus, which has started leaving. âGoodbye and stay safe, sir!â
The old man watches as Marinette just manages to catch the bus, stopping it and shouldering her backpack as she climbs on.
Marinette seats herself as the bus starts once more, and turns to her window to look for the old man.
But by the time she does, heâs gone.
Alya gets to Marinette's house at just the right time. When she reaches, Marinette has done a couple of her chores, cleaned up the living room, and put out the carpet in the first floor bathroom. Against the white rug, the coffee stain is obvious, and Marinette sighs as she inspects it.
How were they ever going to get it out?
Thereâs a knock at the front door, and Marinette knows itâs Alya. Smiling, the girl heads to the living room to open it.
Alya gasps as she sees the house. From the marble kitchen to the hickory-brown wood flooring, everything is pristine and clean, as if the Rossis live in a mansion.
(They donât, but the house is still fairly big. Marinette sometimes has to clean it all as part of her chores, but luckily that hasnât happened in a while.)
âDang girl,â Alya sighs, âyou rich or what?â
Marinette nervously laughs, cracking her knuckles. âUh, I donât know,â
âIâm joking,â Alya smiles. âBut, random thing, whereâs Lila?â
âSheâs out. Doctorâs appointment for her, um, wrist,â
âAw, thatâs too bad. Tell her I said get better soon!â
Marinette sighs. She doesnât like lying, but itâs far better than what would happen if she told the truth.
âYea. Anyway, how are you getting the stain out? I tried all morning, but it was stuck,â
âJust watch me, girl,â Alya smirks. âBefore we start though, you already blotted the stain, right?â
Marinette furrows her eyebrows. âBlotted? What do you mean?â
Alya demonstrates with her hands. âLike, did you take a paper towel and try to get as much of the stain out as you could?â
Marinette nods. âYeah, thatâs why I was late this morning,â
Alya nods. âOk, so now we just have to make the cleaner,â
Marinette raises an eyebrow. âMake? This is getting a little crazy,â
âItâs really not,â Alya laughs, âIâve done this a thousand times before. My sisters knock over my dadâs coffee way too much,â
Marinette laughs. âAlright then, show me what to do,â
Alya makes her way to the kitchen, filing through multiple cabinets. âWhereâs your dish soap?â
âBottom-left drawer next to the sink,â Marinette points.
âAnd your white vinegar?â
âFridge. Anything else you need?â
âJust water,â Alya replies. âWarm, that is. And two cups of it,â
Marinette nods. âGot it,â
Alya takes out a steel bowl from one of the cabinets. âAnd can I use this?â
Marinette nods again. âGo ahead,â
âGreat,â Alya says, pouring a spoon of dish soap followed by a spoon of vinegar. She waits for Marinette to get the water before adding that in as well, and then mixing. âThat should do,â
âWork your magic then,â Marinette laughs.
âJust watch and see girl, I totally will,â
Alya finds a cleaning rag from a drawer in the island, and she runs over to the carpet. âGrab yourself a rag, Marinette, and letâs get started!â
Marinette laughs, and runs over to help. The time passes quickly, and by the time the coffee stain is gone and the carpet is dry, two hours have gone by. Their hands are sore and their legs are tired, but both can say that they had fun.
In the midst of it, Marinette almost doesnât notice when Lila texts her.
Today
â 2 New Messages â
Lie-La đ: open the back door
Lie-la đ: im right by my house
Almost.
âAlya!â Marinette gasps, both sitting on the couch after the carpet was rolled back underneath the dining table. âItâs so late, donât you have to go at 7?â
Alya tilts her head, confused. âNo?â
âOh well then I must have said it,â Marinette laughs nervously. âYes thatâs right! Iâve got work, haha. Bye!â
Marinette practically pushes Alya to the front door, while Alya looks lost and puzzled.
âDidnât you already have work?â Alya asks.
âYep, but gotta save up for uni right? Haha. Haha,â
Alya nods, squinting her eyes as she walks out the door.
âUm, bye? See you at school, girl,â Alya nods, quietly laughing.
âBye!â Marinette smiles. Once Alya is farther away and out of sight, Marinette runs to open the back door. She can faintly hear the sounds of Lilaâs friendâs car pulling into the driveway, so she dashes back upstairs as fast as she can. The last thing she wants to do is talk to Lila, much less be alone in a room with her.
She hopes that Lila wonât try anything while sheâs in her room.
Sighing, she smiles when she stops at the attic door, and heads inside.
Before Madame Rossi found her and decided to take her in (how she came to that conclusion, Marinette would never know), the attic was all set to be Lilaâs playroom. The entire room was painted pink from head to toe (even the carpet was a light shade of pink). There was a wooden wardrobe for all of Lilaâs toys, and a desk with markers, painting supplies, and coloring pencils galore.
But then Marinette came along.
For one reason or another, she was given the attic as her own room. Out went the ideas of toys and tents in the room, and in came Marinette.
Madame Rossi didnât give her anything. From the age of 2 till the age of 4, she slept on the ground, the lack of a bed present to her each night.
Until Lila outgrew her bed of course, which was then given to Marinette.
It was simple. Since Marinette was smaller than Lila, and slower at growing, she was often given Lilaâs old things. All the clothes that Lila didnât want, Marinette had. From her bed to the old beanbag in her room (one of the only things Lila gave her as decoration) everything was a hand me down from Lila herself.
Marinette sighs, and then flops into the bed. Sheâs lucky that Lila doesnât bother if Marinette doesnât get on her nerves.
Hopefully, until she can get out of this place, sheâll manage without angering Lila too much.
Standing up, Marinette locks herself in the attic, a faint click of the door behind her, and gets out her phone. Opening up Spotify, she starts her playlist, and goes over to the desk.
For the next hour, she does homework and finishes a project, all while sketching out designs for new dresses.
And hey, if sheâs lucky, she might just be able to make one for the gala.
Marinette shuffles through her desk drawers, pop music playing through her earbuds. Itâs nearly 8 PM and sheâs searching for the special gold thread she had bought a couple weeks ago. It cost nearly a month's pay, and sheâs been saving it for a special occasion.
With the dress she was sketching, she wanted to know if it was now.
Sheâs still searching through the drawers on the left side of the desk when she finds a box.
One that she feels might not have been there before.
(Then again, she rarely looks through all her drawers, so thereâs always a chance that it couldâve been.)
Marinette feels confused. The box is made of a dark brown wood, and shaped like an octagon. The top of the box is embossed with a red design. Glimmering red circles meet wavy, thin lines, but Marinette is preoccupied with figuring out what the box is for.
In the end, she decides to open it. There canât be much inside, can there?
Turns out, Marinette is wrong.
The moment she opens it is a frightful one. In that second, thereâs a bright flash of light. It swirls around her as Marinette gasps, dropping the box onto the carpet as two solid-black earrings fall out.
Thatâs not the amazing part of it all though. After a second, Marinette comes face to face with a spotted red creature.
Needless to say, she screams.
âHi Marinette!â the spotted creature says. âMy name is Tikki! Itâs nice to meet you!â
âMouse!â Marinette hollers, âBug! Bug-mouse! Talking bug mouse!â
Marinette scooches back, her hand grabbing books and papers off her desk as she throws them at Tikki.
âIâm here to help!â Tikki says, dodging the objects. âIâm here to help you!â
âLiar!â Marinette calls, searching for more things to throw. âThis must be Lilaâs version of a joke ! I canât believe her!â
She takes her water-bottle from her backpack, and quickly moves to trap Tikki in it.
âItâs ok Marinette, I wonât hurt you,â Tikki smiles. âBut if this makes you feel better, then this is ok!â
Thereâs a pause, and then Marinette sighs and chooses not to answer, leaning back, and quickly grabbing her school tablet off her desk. She points it at Tikki, trying her best to look intimidating.
âWho are you?â Marinette asks, âand what do you want?â
âLike I said, my nameâs Tikki! Iâm a kwami!â the tiny bug says, (still trapped in the bottle but floating in midair, Marinette notes) âAnd I want to help you!â
Marinette sighs, lowering her weapon tablet. âDid Lila send you somehow?â
Tikki furrows her forehead in place of her eyebrows. âNo? Whoâs Lila?â
Marinette bitterly chuckles, standing and throwing her arms into the air. âThis. This. This is why you canât help me. No one can. Anyone who meets Lila thinks sheâs an âabsolute angelâ, and no one else knows her. How is someone supposed to help me if no one knows that my problem exists?!â
âMarinette,â Tikki sighs, âI promise you, I can help, if youâll listen to me. Please let me explain, and then you can decide if you want to trust me or not, ok?â
Marinette pauses, considering the situation, and sits a fair distance away from Tikki, keeping her tablet in her hands.
âOk,â she responds, facing the little bug. âBut you have 5 minutes,â
Tikki smiles again. "And that's all I need,"

Pt. 5
warnings: swearing, mature themes? mentions of past abuse/trauma
Things felt weirdly normal when you woke up, and despite the memories that flashed through your head you kept your cool. You needed to be logical, it was the only way youâd be able to get out of here alive. Denki was in your arms when you finally opened your eyes, and a weight lifted from your chest. Oh thank gods you were together. That made things easier. The room was⊠undoubtedly luxurious, Shigaraki sure knew how to play nice when he wanted. Horror shot through you when you saw the iron collar clamped around Denkiâs neck. Fuck, you knew what that was. youâd seen it used before, and Denki wasnât going to be able to help with it on. Youâd need a diamond to get it off, unless you could get the key. Fucking Shigaraki, heâd be here soon to gloat. The fucker loved nothing more than being validated for what heâd done.
âI didnât appreciate your little stunt.â Shigaraki finally showed his face, and your eyes narrowed as you stared at him from the bed.
âIf you were bored you should have just told me. I thought you liked the solitude while I was busy, but obviously I was wrong.â He took a seat next to you and your skin crawled, had he gotten crazier? âBut thatâs all in the past now, and you have your own pet to keep you entertained.â Oh yeah he absolutely lost it while you were gone. You stayed silent as you watched his fingers trail over your leg to Denkiâs sleeping form next to you. The threat was clear despite him staying silent. If you tried anything, heâd take it out on Denki.
âThank you.â You had to force the words out, any feelings you had right now didnât matter. You just needed to keep Denki safe, and that meant keeping Shigaraki happy until you could get away. It worked, his chapped lips stretched into a grin as he made himself comfortable besides you, showing no intention of leaving any time soon.
âThey did WHAT?â Katsuki flung his sword across the room, the metal sending up a puff of feathers when it hit the bed. Heâd just gotten back from a war meeting, and this was the first thing he had to hear?
âHow dare that dry ass motherfucker send his cronies here, Iâll get Y/n and Denki back myself.â He snarled, and Hanta had to jump on him before he could leave .
âKatsuki, calm down, if you go rushing in itâll only make the situation worse.â Mina crouched down, making sure she was in the blondes line of sight so he had no choice but to listen.
âYeah man, Izuku can help, right?â Hanta added, still pinning Katsuki down.Â
âAnd Shoto too, we have allies Katsuki, we donât have to just rush in.â Mina glanced at Kiri, who nodded in agreement despite the fact he wanted nothing more than to bolt to wherever you were. He just needed to make sure you were safe. At least Denki was with you, the two of you could take care of each other for the time being, and it would be enough that the bond wouldnât hurt anyone.
âFine, get them here, now! We need to do this quickly!â Katsuki gave in with a snarl, the more people he had to crush that extra, the better.
Fingers tapping your thigh made you jump, and you dropped the book in your hands as you turned to Denki. Heâd just beenâŠdozing, barely waking up to eat and drink.
âOh, youâre awake. How do you feel?â
âWeird, kinda out of it⊠where are we?â Gold eyes darted around the room, horror growing in them with every passing second. âWhat happened to Mina?â Denki was starting to panic, and you had to grab his hand to make him look at you.
âShe got away, I sent her back to Katsuki so she could get help.â You soothed, hand smoothing over his hair. âYou know what they're like, I'm sure they're planning something right now.â He didn't look convinced, and you wondered how he hasn't noticed the iron around his neck.
âWhy can't we just break out?â
âIf there's a sure opportunity for us to escape I'll take it, but you can't fight with the collar on, and I can't get it off while we're here.â You grabbed his wrists to stop him tearing at it, there was no use.
âDon't try to use your powers, okay? I'm not sure what it'll do, but the ones I've had have never been good. Your powers will activate the selected gem, and depending on that the collar will do something. I donât want to risk it.â
âHow do you know all this?â Denki squinted at you, and you dropped his arms, hands folding in your lap as you thought about how to explain that.
âI um, always had a talent for magic, my teachers kept track and when I graduated Shigaraki noticed and I uh⊠didnât exactly go along with him at first, so he chose a⊠harsherâŠ? Way for me to learn and fit into his⊠role for me.â The words stuck in your throat on the way up, you never thought youâd have to tell anyone that.
âI know it might be⊠a lot, and I promise Iâll tell you everything when we get out of here, but you need to trust me, okay Denki?â You couldn't look at him, your whole plan needed him, you couldnât leave him here alone.
âOkay Y/n, but Iâll hold you to that promise.â You couldnât help startle when Denki surged forward, nuzzling your neck and wrapping his arms around your waist. This wasnât the reaction you expected, he went along so easily?
âO-Okay, just follow my lead, he needs to let his guard down and I⊠know how to do that.â
âThe meeting was awful, honestly that scum are lucky I have you to calm me down⊠so I donât have to resort to more extreme methods.â Youâd tuned out most of Shigarakiâs rant, Denki had fallen asleep and you didnât see the point in waking him for this. The king had his head in your lap, your fingers carding through his hair with a familiarity you hated. Shigaraki turned so he was facing you, one hand coming up to caress your cheek and you were lucky he was delusional enough to think the shudder that ran through you was good.
âHmm? What happened this time?â You forced the words out, pretending to care really fucking sucked. His answer was lost as Denki started to stir next to you, oh god whyâd he have to wake up now? He was gonna say something bad and itâd be over for the both of you. Shigaraki was still mumbling on while your eyes were fixed on Denki, humming your acknowledgment at the appropriate intervals so heâd think you cared.
âI swear itâd be better if I just ripped their heads off, then I could just stay here with you.â These words were mumbled into your skin,, Shigaraki going from laying in your lap to straddling you and hiding his face in your neck before you could do anything to stop him. You hated when he got like this, it could last for days if he was feeling particularly insecure or clingy.
âBut then youâd have nobody to do what needs to be done, and youâd be spending even less time here.â Denki spoke and your heart stopped, oh god oh god ohgod. Shigsraki pulled back to look at the blonde, eyebrows raised as he considered that option.
âYou have a point.â The king shrugged before he went back to your neck as if nobody had spoken, lips brushing against your skin as he grew bolder. Unease surged through you at the contact, the force of it through the bond almost made Denki transform, but he remembered you needed him to be good so you could get them out of here, and so he settled for buying his face in your thighs. He really hoped you knew what you were doing, and that the others were planning something. A knock at the door had your heart jumping into your throat, and after a growled answer from Shigaraki, Dabi entered the room. His voice was bored as ever while he spoke, something about needing Shigaraki back in the war room because their scouts had spotted something. A grunt left the king as he started to get up, unable to stop himself nipping at your neck before he pulled away, the red already blooming had him satisfied enough to slink over to Dabi and, in turn, leave you and Denki alone again.
âIâm sorry, Iâm so so sorry this is all my fault-â your anxiety took over the second the door closed, throat clogging up and tears clouding your vision. Kiri should have just left you to die, then none of them would be in this mess.
âCâmon, youâre okay, come back to me now.â Denki pulled your chest to his, forcing your breathing to follow his as he focused on calming you down. Your eyes slowly came back into focus, gold was the only thing you could see for a moment before Denki pulled back.
âIs that better?â His hand brushed the tears off your face, a comforting smile on his face. How could he look so angelic in this situation?
âYeah, sorry about that.â You wiped your nose, humiliation setting in as you realised how pathetic you must look, you needed to be stronger if you were going to get out of here alive.
âThereâs nothing to apologise for, this is a tough situation.â Denki shrugged, he didnât want to pressure you into talking about your past, but something big had obviously happened. Your unease was still flooding through the bond, easily alerting Denki to the fact you werenât fine, worse, you were lying to him about it. He just wanted to help. Maybe he should try and distract you? Opting to cheer you up any way he could, Denki cuddled into your side, making sure he was monitoring how you felt though the bond. Your gaze shifted as the blonde rubbed over your skin, making a noise you could only describe as a croon while his face nuzzled against your neck. The noise was⊠weirdly comforting, and it wasnât long before you felt some of the anxiety leaving you. Denki was over the moon, you were responding so well! His crooning picked up at how happy he was, and you let your head rest on his shoulder, your own hands finding his and intertwining with them. You were almost asleep when the door opening had you jumping awake, Denki slowly blinking as he figured out what had spooked you. Confusion was all that remained when you saw Dabi there, Shigaraki nowhere to be seen as he closed the door behind him.
âI talked to Shoto, Iâm gonna help you out.â
âDabi agreed to help us, but in return he wants Shigaraki alive, for himself. Itâs the best chance we have, heâs the kings right hand.â Shoto deadpanned, completely unbothered by the snarling warrior being held back by Kirishima next to him.
âI wanna rip that bastard to shreds, fuck Dabi, we can do this without him.â Katsuki finally managed to get out after heâd been calmed down, a task that took several minutes.
âItâd take longer, you really want to sacrifice Y/n and Denki so you can kill someone?â Hanta had to help hold Katsuki back at that remark from Shoto.
âKatsu, Shotoâs right, our priority needs to be getting them quickly, not killing Shigaraki.â Mina placed her hand on Katsukiâs shoulder, the thing that finally calmed him down enough to mumble out a fine and get on with the actual planning.
âFinally, now what weâre going to do is cause a distraction on the battlefield, during which Dabi will knock out Shigaraki and get Denki and Yn to a safe destination weâll go to after the battle. Now, onto the detailsâŠâ
âYouâre what? No way, itâs a trap right? Shigaraki is testing my loyalty? Iâm not falling for something like this again.â You shook your head as you paced the room, Denki still sitting on the bed and Dabi lounging on a chair next to the desk. It was exactly the kind of thing that bastard would do.
âBakugo told me to tell Denki about the dandelions.â Dabi ignored your rant, instead turning to Denki and raising his eyebrows at the blonde. Lower lip between his teeth, The blonde slunk over to you, grabbing your hand tightly before he spoke.
âItâs not a trap, Y/n, heâs telling the truth.â
âYou donât know that, what if they captured someone that told him?â You hissed, eyes darting over to the nonchalant figure in the chair.
âHey, you asked me to trust you before, I need you to trust me now. Okay?â He presses a kiss to your cheek when he was finished, and despite your best efforts that smile got to you, made you relax and squeeze his hand.
âI-Fuck. Okay, I trust you.â

âââ
âI need you to close your eyes Spencer, good, just like that. Can you tell me what happened before you and the team were kidnapped? Where were you?â
âI was with Morgan and Penelope, we went for some drinks to loosen ourselves up after the last case. It's dark, and cold, I'm drunk. Maybe...maybe tipsy?â
âIt's okay Spence, you were drunk?â
âI couldn't walk well without help, Penelope was on one side, Morgan is on the other, heâs on his phone. I see your name, and he's texting you, i don't know what it is but its not words,â
âOkay, what's around you? People? Streets?â
âIts dark, so not many people are around, but there's this chilly feeling behind us as we drop Penelope offâ
âSo Penelope isn't with you two anymore?â
âNo, not now, she's gone. Morgan and I are stumbling on the road for a little while but Morgan looks back and he's sobered up, he's walking and he's got his phone out. He's called you, something about someone under six foot,â Spencers breathing increased as his brows furrowed.
âSpencer, you are safe. What's happening now?â
âIt's a blur, i-i cant...im calling for you, theyâre dark, weâre in a van now-â
âThey?â
âFive people, two in the front and the rest with us in the back, the one following us got in when they grabbed us,â he pauses, âtheyâre not looking and i take out my phone, just as i look up i see a road sign,â
âFrench Roadâ
âYeah, yeah I sent that to you, I messaged it and added east, because we traveled east. One of the men sees my phone, he's slapped it out of my hand as another grabs my hair,â Spencer flinches and you have to stop yourself from grabbing his hand, âthey throw Morgan and i somewhere, it's dark and smells, it's a sewer. I hear Rossi shouting, then i black out. The next time I wake up, everyone else is with us and they start questioning us, asking random things.â
âRandom things?â
âLike lie detector questions; remember the Adam Jackson case? With D.I.D.?â
âI remember; its questions like random maths, english?â
âYeah, yeah like that. I think theyâre seeing how alive we are, if we are awake. We all are, I take a little to answer my question.â
âWhat was your question?â he pauses.
ââWhat is the molecular formula for hydromorphone hydrochlorideââ
âDilaudidâ
âWell, morphine but that's what they wanted me to remember anyway. It took a moment for me to come around, but I answered, correctly; C17H19NO3â
âWhat did they do?â
âThey left, when we all answered our questions they left.â
âWhenâs the next time they come back?â
âI'm not sure, I just remember waking up and J.J. was being beaten,â Spencers voice shuddered at the mention of J.J. 's name.
âGood, that's good Spence,â
âC-can i open my eyes now?â of course he would ask before doing it, he couldn't see it but you did smile.
âYeah, yeah you can Spence,â Spencer was quick to take action and opened his eyes, squinting at the white of the hospital walls around him.
âDid you tell them-â
âThere is no morphine in your system Spencer,â you started, âthere isn't anything else the doctors can do besides wait,â you sighed softly as you took Spencers hand in yours, âbecause it's a morphine based drug they can't do anything else,â Spencer nodded but you still had a feeling something was wrong, âSpence?â
âHow long has it been?â Spencer looked like he was going to cry.
âThree days,â the sharp intake of Spencers breath gave it away quickly, âthe others have gone through the same line of cognitives Spencer, the story holds and itâs something we can use against the people that took you-â
âYou mean theyâre still not in jail?â Spencer questioned quietly, you sighed softly.
âThey have to go through some other things first but i have been told that their sentence will be long, long enough for what theyâve done,â
âIm sorry,â Spencer sniffled, the tears in his eyes fell and hit the gown he was wearing, âi'm so sorry,â
âFor what bubba?â it was hard to see the one you love looking and feeling like this, but you both had to stay strong. He shrugged.
âI broke my stre-â
âDon't you dare say that,â by now you had gotten up and were towering over Spencer as he refused to look at you, âyou did not break anything, you didn't break a single thing Spencer. Those men, those people- those disgusting people! They did. They broke it. Not you.â you said firmly, Spencer nodded weakly. You pressed your hand to Spencer's cheek and made him look at you, his teary eyes made you weak at the knees as you ducked down and kissed his forehead.
âThe fact that you uh,â Spencer sniffed and wiped his eyes, âyou found us in under fifteen hours,â he laughed.
âWhat, you think i wouldn't?â you questioned, the joking lighting the mood.
âNo, no, I just,â he paused, and with fake sadness said, âI just thought you'd find us in under ten,â you lightly punched Spencer's arm with mock anger as he laughed.
âThatâs so rude Spence! Garcia and I went through a lot!â
âI know i know!â Spencer exclaimed with a smile. Though the team had gone through hell and back they looked in perfect health, unfortunately masking their trauma too easily.
-----
The entire team was given a mandatory four weeks off as well as daily therapy sessions for those weeks with once a week group therapy; the whole team coming in and talking about their week and what theyâve done via their therapist and such. Yourself, Spencer and Garcia had it worse as you and Garcia were the ones trying to find your friends and Spencer O.D.ed for three minutes.
Spencer was 10 minutes late, but you all agreed to start without him.
âI wrote down everything that happened,â you started, âbut i still start to panic when i don't see anyone in the mornings,â
âThat's normal (Y/n)â the therapist said from her chair, âfrom what you, and your team, has gone through it is very normal to feel sudden panic when not being able to pinpoint them. The same with your team,â her eyes flitted around to the others, âit is completely normal for you to feel panicked when possibly out at a bar, in a bookstore or anywhere without your friends,â she was about to open her mouth again to speak when the large doors opened harshly and out stepped Spencer, bag in hand and rushing to the only seat (which was next to you) open. He gave a rushed smile and avoided eye contact.
âTraffic,â Spencer mumbled, you two had gotten up at the same time (seeing as you lived together obviously) but Spencer said he wanted to stay back and finish some final paperwork before he came in; this wasn't an unusual thing to happen as it has happened before, so you had left with a kiss and a promise to see him in a few hours.
âTraffic?â the therapist asked.
âYes traffic, that is what I said,â Spencer countered as he picked at his fingers, the therapist stayed silent for a moment.
âWould you like to share with the group what you have done this week?â she questioned, Spencer thought he subtly rolled his eyes before he finally looked up to his fellow teammates, but you had caught it. And he knew you did.
âI wake up feeling panicked sometimes,â Spencer started with a shrug, âthat's about it.â
âWhy panicked?â the therapist pressed.
âBecause (Y/n) isn't next to me, they get up a little earlier than i do a lot of the time,â he looked at you with such sadness that you couldn't help the sympathetic smile you sent his way.
âWell, maybe you could ask (Y/n) to wake up at the same time,â the therapist pointed at yourself when she said your name. You nodded.
âI don't mind Spence, you can just ask,â you smiled sweetly to Spencer but he broke eye contact before you could even look at him and nodded, a âcoolâ whispered under his breath as he twiddled his thumbs. Everyone went quiet for a moment.
âWell, I believe that concludes this week's therapy together!â the therapist said too happily as everyone started getting up and putting their chairs away, âplease remember to keep going with your practices and remember to come in for your individual sessions!â Everyone gave a thank you and goodbye as the group started walking back to the bullpen; cases had been taken away from the team until a full evaluation and mental health check went over all of the team members. You jogged to keep up with Spencer.
âWanna go out for lunch later babe?â you questioned, hand going out to hold his. Until it was whipped away quickly by the recipient.
âNo, I'm good,â Spencer mumbled as he sped up his steps, causing you to slow your steps down and stopping completely as Spencer turned a corner and was out of sight. He didn't see the tears starting to spill down your cheeks as you felt a hand softly connect with your shoulder, making you jump and turn to face the person.
âWeâve seen it before,â Hotch said in his monotone voice, you nodded as you quickly wiped the tears away.
âUnfortunately i know,â you mumbled through a shaky breath, yourself and Spencer hadn't gotten together for awhile, simply pining after each other for a few years before finally opening up and becoming a couple. You had been his best friend for years before, being friends when you both were in college (him being younger than you but you two still getting into the FBI academy a year after the other), you had been the one person he confided in when the whole Tobias thing happened and was the number one reason (in Spencers words) that helped him get through his addiction.
âYou should intervene,â Hotch said. So he knew too. You nodded.
âWhat if weâre wrong?â you questioned, it was always the âwhat ifsâ that got all of you.
âItâs been three weeks,â Hotch reminded you, âhe wouldn't still be like this if he wasn't,â you sighed but nodded in understanding as Hotch pat your shoulder for a second and walked off to the bullpen, leaving you with your shaking breath and slight panic attack.
Spencer was using again.
But you had to find evidence before intervening.
-
Time was short as Spencer excused himself from his desk for the toilet. As he rounded the corner and disappeared from sight you made quick work with the limited time you had and delved into Spencer's bag.
Books, pencils, notepad, stray chess pieces, files and folders.
Damn.
Nothing.
It couldn't be that obvious could it? You sighed softly and took a peek to see if Spencer was coming back, when he didn't suddenly float into the room you turned to his desk and opened the drawers; shuffling through them.
â(Y/n)?â Spencer asked from behind you, you slammed the drawer shut and whirled around to face your boyfriend.
âSpence!â you gave a strained laugh.
âWhy are you going through my drawers?â he questioned with a cock of his eyebrow.
âJust tryna find something,â you lied through your teeth, it didn't taste nice, âwow look!â you picked up the closest thing to you, a stapler, âfound it!â
âYou could've asked instead of going through my drawers,â Spencer mumbled offhandedly as he reached down in front of you and grabbed his bag before walking away.
âWhere are you going?â you questioned, your voice carrying out through the whole bullpen, Spencer looked around at the few pairs of eyes looking at him, those few including his teammates before he did a 180 degree turn and went stalking off to the toilets.
If Spencer was using again then he was smart enough not to do it at work, unless you had missed it when shuffling through his bag.
-
Spencer seemed to be in a daze for most of the day as you gave him a chaste kiss, saying goodbye to him and the team as you headed home; your paperwork for the day ended quicker than the others. You made a mission to find plausible evidence of Spencer using again, if he was smart he would leave it at home, if he was smarter he would keep it on him, if he was as smart as his 187 IQ then he wouldn't be using at all. That is if he even is.
You rifled through everything in the house; books, cabinets, drawers, wardrobes, unused boxes, the back of your kitchen cabinets and drawers, turning the house upside down to find that small bottle of nightmares.
But to no avail.
The hours that passed seemed to go so slowly and yet so fast as you cleaned the house of your excursions, made yourself a cup of tea and settled down with a book, of course as soon as you opened it the first page had writing in the margins and title page; it was Spencer's book, the notes made you smile as the pages made you forget the recent nightmares for a few hours. The keys jingling in the lock made you jump from your imagination as Spencer stepped through the threshold and into the room, you gave him a sweet smile that he didn't even notice as he walked away to the bedroom with his bag. He never did that, Spencer always left his bag at the door in case he had to rush in order for him to grab and go.
âI was thinking of ordering in for dinner!â you called through the house, âhaven't had some for a few weeks, treat ourselves!â
âYeah whatever you want doll!â Spencer called back, he was chipier suddenly. You forced yourself to focus on the sounds coming from the bedroom but couldn't decipher exactly what they were when Spencer came back out wearing a cotton shirt and some plaid pants, you cocked an eyebrow.
âYou got comfy quickly,â you mentioned, ânormally you wait a few hours in case we have to go back.â Spencer shrugged as he walked into the kitchen and got himself a glass of water.
âCan't be bothered,â Spencer tried his hardest to mask the slurping of the water but when it got low enough he couldn't help himself as he downed a second glass.
âDidn't drink much today i see,â you mumbled as you looked back to your book, the empty tea cup almost calling your name for a second time as Spencer came up behind the couch and wrapped his arms around you, kissing your head. You chuckled, completely forgetting about his previous antics from the day, âchippy i seeâ, you felt Spencer shrug behind you.
âI think i just missed being with you is all,â Spencer mumbled into your hair, âsmell good, you shower?â you laughed.
âLast night yeah,â you smiled and looked up at Spencer, the top of your head colliding softly with Spencers, also soft, tummy.
âThat's my book?â Spencer observed as his eyes ran over the written graphite in the margins, you looked back down at the book and nodded.
âMm hmm, didn't realise when i picked it up but i'm enjoying the little annotations,â you smiled softly as Spencer started kissing from the top of your head to your neck, soft pecks turned into nibbles, turned into purple bruises.
âHaven't felt you in so long,â Spencer mumbled into your neck, his hands gliding lower from your shoulders and down your torso.
âYeah?â you questioned, feeling his fingers trace over your shirt, you knew the answer, and you definitely knew what was going to come out from this.
âPlease?â Spencer asked, ah, consent, his number one turn on. The thought almost made you chuckle as you nodded.
âYes,â you placed the book on the coffee table next to the abandoned empty cup and followed Spencer into the bedroom, his hand soft in yours as he guided you on the short trip.
That night made you forget about the previous days. It was true that you and Spencer hadn't done anything together for awhile, therapy taking up time along with paperwork and just not feeling in the moment of things, but that night was full of bliss; exploring one another again like it was your first time all over again.
It was beautiful. Truely.
For you anyway.
Of course Spencer loved it, every moment of it was beautiful and full of bliss for him as well, but there was a nagging in the back of his head, one that he couldn't shut up, even with your beautiful body in front of him. You were dead to the world, snuggled under the covers, as Spencer crept into your linked bathroom; there was someone else calling his name just as loud as you and Spencer had been calling each other's names a few hours ago.
Except this wasn't someone.
It was something.
And Spencer knew that this something wasn't right, of course he did. He was throwing away so much time, so many days and weeks of being clean, so many years. Unfortunately the nightmares Spencer had been talking about in group therapy where back.
And they were real.
Very, very real.
--------
The following week you worked on the paperwork from previous cases including material profiles on paper evidence until you got called in for your daily therapy session.
âSo,â Mike started, âhow has today been? Yesterday at group therapy?â you shrugged, thoughts clouded, âsomething on your mind?â Mike pressed.
âHow would you gain evidence if you think someone is using drugs again without raising suspicion of everyone and said person?â you questioned quickly, âasking for a friend,â the end was added as a joke.
âWell, you would intervene,â Mike said. That's what you liked about Mike, he never questioned anything you asked or said, you could say you killed a man and he would ask how you hid the body and help with your alibi.
âHow?â you questioned in a strained voice, the thought of Spencer using again was getting to you.
âTake them somewhere they're comfortable, sit them down and simply: askâ Mike said as he jotted down some things in his little notebook.
âIf you're writing that I'm paranoid then dont bother,â Mike looked up from the book, âi'm not. I know that theyâre using again, but if I don't have plausible evidence then theyâll justâŠâ you shrugged, ''well I don't really know, do i?â Mike took a moment to respond.
âHow are you feeling after your team got kidnapped,â it was a daily question, steering you away from the topic.
âFine.â
âYou're not,â Mike observed.
âYeah well if its that fucking obvious then why arent these sessions helping?â you questioned aggressively, then paused, âi'm sorry.â
âIt's quite alright (Y/n), bouts of random and unprecedented anger are normal after traumatic events like that,â Mike explained, âhow do you think the others are going?â
âNot well, i can tell. Hotch is refusing to speak, Rossi is faking everything he says and does, Emily, J.J., and Garcia are all a bubbling mess of tears, Derek dissociates a lot more now and SpenceâŠâ you paused, Mike noticed this.
âIs the one usingâ
âThat's what we think,â you sniffled softly and pulled a tissue from the nearby box before getting up from the chair you sat on and walking to one of the large windows, âdo you think heâs in pain?â you questioned.
âI think theyâre all in a great deal of pain,â Mike responded, âbut. If youâre asking as a professional opinion I think they need time. If you're asking as a friend, well, i think you should be there for him,â your ear twitched at the change of pronoun for Spencer, saying âhimâ specifically instead of âthemâ. You nodded.
âWhat should i do?â
âAsk. If you can't talk to your boyfriend about it then youâre not ready to face it, and the more time that goes past about it is the less time you potentially have to spend with him,â Mike was wise, you knew that, but that sounded too cheesy to be him, so you laughed softly.
âYou sound like a wise old owl,â you mentioned as you grabbed your bag.
âI see youâve been keeping track of the time,â Mike commented; you had 2 minutes left of the session.
âI see youâve been keeping track of me,â you shot back playfully before leaving the room and going back to your paper profiles, the previous events playing in your mind; the kidnapping, finding the team, the group therapy, that session, Spencer. Of course you could have been wrong about what the other team members could be doing, and of course you lied slightly; Emily wouldn't be crying, sheâd mask it like Hotch and pretend everything is okay like Rossi. J.J. would just blubber about her husband and kids. But the others were correct. A chocolate muffin sat on your desk with a note attached to the wrapping;
âLove,
We need to talk.
Nothing bad, kind of.
Tonight?
Xx
Sâ
Spencer. You smiled softly, maybe he would come clean, tell you what's been going on in his giant mind like heâs meant to be doing. You held the note close to your chest and gave it a kiss before sitting down and biting into the muffin and continuing your work; you didn't see the pair of eyes watching you, filled with love and guilt that was standing next to the coffee machine, sugar tin almost empty.
-------
Spencer wasn't exactly dreading tonight, oh no, he wasn't looking forward to it of course, but he knew, knows, it's for the best. The rest of the day went by in a little blur; chaste kisses from you, sessions, talking with people, jamming the photocopier, and coffee. The bag wrapped around Spencer's torso felt like five tons against his tiny frame, weighing him down for the most of the day, the only time he couldn't feel that weight was when you were around; talking, kissing Spencer, holding his hand, little comments, slight brushes when rushing past each other. Those moments were the moments that brought up his confidence in preparation for tonight; he can't live without you, but he wouldn't die for you, oh no, he would live for you. Which is slightly ironic in Spencer's mind but it fits, he wouldn't let this nightmare come back for round two without trying his best to kick its ass first, and the only way he knew how to do that was, is, with you by his side.
Spencer felt triumphant as he walked through those glass doors and into the elevator, you had left two hours previously but Spencer didn't mind, it gave you both time to wind down and get ready for this talk. Which is exactly what you both needed. He knew you knew, you knew he knew that you knew, now it's just the point of who would come clean first.
-------
Spencer stood out the front of his apartment.
Apartment 23.
It felt like such a large barrier, a large step, one thatâs heavy and is hard to make. But it was also an escape, an escape, and thatâs what Spencer had to remember, his home (and yours) is a sanctuary, a safe space for the both of you no matter what the problem is. A big sigh escaped Spencer's lungs as he the floor started swaying beneath him, his breath being held, black and white dots encapsulating his vision.
And then he was through the door.
And it all drifted away as you walked from the kitchen holding two dinner plates.
âSpence!â you exclaimed happily, bringing Spencer from his thoughts, âroast pork for dinner tonight, adn veggies,â you smiled and placed the plates on the table before leaving again. Spencer brought his hands up to put his bag down but thought against it and instead leant it against the table as he sat down, you coming out again with a bottle of spirit water, the bottle fizzing when cracked open.
âThought you would go for wine tonightâ Spencer commented as you filled his glass, âthanks,â you shrugged as you poured your own drink before putting the bottle to the side and sitting down.
âThought this would be better to go with the meal, clean the palette and everything,â you smiled as Spencer picked up his knife and fork as his mouth also opened to drop a fact.
âIn Normandy, locals rely on apple brandy as a digestive called Le Trou Normand, or the Norman break. Itâs a shot of Calvados in the middle of the meal which can be served as a sorbet rather than a shot of alcohol,â Spencer rambled slightly with a smile as he ate his dinner. It felt natural, you two never really got to have special dinners like this, instead opting for take out or left overs. The comment was left hanging in the air as both you and Spencer dug into the delicious meat and vegetables, cooked to perfection that both you and Spencer loved. Spencer cut the fat off of his piece of meat and left it on a side dish that you put down earlier; Spencer didn't, doesn't, like fat from meat, âitâs too chewyâ heâd always say.
âHow have you been sinceâŠ?â you questioned, voice cutting through the nice silence. Spencer stopped eating for a moment, was this it?
âIâve been okay,â Spencer said softly as he continued eating after a second, âbored,â he shrugged, âonly read five books recently, just canât seem to focus,â you nodded.
âThatâs normal after traumatic events Spencer, you know this,â you cleared your throat and took a mouthful of your drink, âmaybe you could read to me after this?â Spencer's foot shuffled closer to his bag, it leaning against the leg of the table.
âIf-â Spencer cut himself off, what should he say? âIf you want?â, then there was no use for the note and it'll go unspoken, âwe have to talk?â no, that sounds like there's something bad. Fuckfuckfuck.
âSpence?â your voice brought Spencer out of his railroad of thoughts as you put down your knife and fork having finished your food.
âWe need to talk tonight,â Spencer started, âbut I want it to be natural, I don't want it to be forced,â you nodded.
âI feel the same,â you said softly, it wasn't hostile, you weren't angry, you were compassionate and understanding, âyou finish your food and then you can read to me, yeah?â you questioned, Spencer nodded as he continued eating while you brought your plate into the kitchen to be washed later in the night. You kissed the top of Spencer's head when you passed him on your way to the bookshelf, the silence that followed was calm but there was heat behind it, the air wanted to squeeze into your lungs and bring the words you both oh so wanted to say.
But you held back.
Both of you.
âThe Illustrated Man?â you asked as Spencer walked out of the kitchen having put his plate away and taking a mouthful of his drink. He hummed.
âWhat about Papillon?â Spencer asked as he came up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist as he scanned the bookshelf for other books.
âNo, reminds me too much of that Ted Bundy film too much,â you sighed out, you almost gave up before a book caught your eye; your hand moving out to grab it before you could even stop yourself as you handed it to Spencer.
âMurder on The Oriant Express huh?â Spencer questioned as he flipped the book over a few times, he nodded, âyeah, i could go with a murder mystery tonightâ he smiled, as did you, as the two of you moved to the couch to read.
-
Hours passed of Spencer reading to you, and then the two of you switched for you to read to him. Neither of you said anything, almost forgetting about the elephant in the room.
âDo you think this is profiling?â you questioned as you got to a chapter, âwhat Poirot does?â
âI would think so,â Spencer said softly, âhe deduces certain things to come to a conclusion, using evidence and simple common knowledge and deduction skills like Sherlock; id say he doesâ
âDo you think that's how i figured it out?â you questioned, Spencer brought his body up from its cuddled position to look at you.
âFigured out what?â
âThat youâre using againâ
Silence.
âSo weâre going to talk about it,â Spencer spoke with such uncertainties you didn't know how to respond for a moment.
âSo you are using again,â you spoke in a quiet voice, afraid that if your voice was too loud itll shatter the surrounding places.
âNo.â Spencer was quick to disagree, âi mean,â he sighed as he fiddled with his hands, eyes staring at the carpet, refusing to look at you, âi did, for a littleâ you placed a hand on Spencer's shoulder as the book was discarded on the coffee table, âi stopped taking last week,â Spencer sniffled as he wiped his nose, tears landing in his lap, âi didn't want to, i really didn't, but it just got so hard, hard to cope with everything that has happened previously, every single case, every kid, every adult and father and mother and sister and brother and-â
âSpence breathâ you commanded softly, Spencer had started hyperventilating as he spoke, he looked to you, finally, with tear filled eyes as you helped him even out his breathing and wiping away his tears.
âI started a few days after i was cleared from the hospital,â Spencer started again, his voice wavering slightly as he talked, âfrom there i started again, i don't know how long for,â Spencer looked down at his hands again, âi've lost my sense of time a lot more recently since starting again, soâ he shrugged, âI knew how bad it was and could get but I didn't stop myself. Then I found you snooping in my drawers,â Spencer laughed softly at the memory, you doing the same, ''I found you snooping and i saw things in my bag messed about so i knew you had been looking for something, and i knew you knew what i was doing. Of course you did,â Spencer wiped his nose again, âthatâs when i gave you that note, because i knew i had to stop, and it's been hard but i haveâ Spencer looked at you for reassurance.
âYou did good Spencer,â you started, âi'm not...im not happy that you went back, you know i'm not,â he nodded, âand i'm not happy that you didn't tell me about you wanting to relapse,â another nod, âbut i'm happy that you stopped yourself, and though it's not the perfect thing to be kidnapped again, you helped yourself stop this time,â you played with Spencer's hair as you talked. âI wish you told me,â
âI knowâ
âAnd i wish i could have helped,â
âI knowâ
âBut I still love you,â Spencer smiled.
âYeah?â
âOf course,â you sighed into Spencer's hair, âcanât leave you after everything that's happened and what weâve been through, âsnot right,â you slurred slightly, Spencer chuckled softly, âalso because youâre great in bed,â you joked causing Spencer to laugh as a silence settled over the two of you for a moment.
âIâll get help,â
âI know you will bub,â you threaded your fingers through Spencer's hair, âand iâll be there every step of the way, always,â you pulled Spencer close, âis it still in your bag?â he nodded hesitantly. You got up slowly and pulled Spencer along with you as you dug in his bag, your fingers finally coming in contact with a glass bottle, you pulled it out as Spencerâs sharp intake of breath came from behind you.
âThere's...here let me,â Spencer lent down to grab the bag, placing it on the nearest surface as he dug through it for a moment before pulling out another small glass bottle as his other hand went in. Spencer handed you the bottle as he pulled out two capped needles and shoved them into your hands as well, he didn't look at the needles or bottles and instead turned around, âI don't want them anymore, I really don't,â you nodded.
âWeâll dispose of these properly,â you said with a smile, Spencer couldn't see it but with your retreating footsteps Spencer finally turned around to see you placing the items into a small plastic bag, âtomorrow,â Spencer nodded as the two of you retreated to the bedroom.
âI um,â Spencer spoke as he started getting dressed for bed, you doing the same, âi just wanted you to know; the other night, when we hadâŠâ
âSex,â you finished for Spencer with a slight laugh, he nodded.
âYou fell asleep and...iâŠ.â
âI know,â you said softly, your fingers held Spencer's waist softly over the cotton shirt he wore as he stared at you.
âYou-?â
âIt's okay,â your fingers felt like heaven against Spencer's waist as your thumbs rubbed the spots they sat at, he nodded in understanding. You pressed your lips against Spencers in a soft, reassuring and loving kiss, one that you both needed before climbing into bed and cuddling as close as you could possibly get.

Bustling around their bedroom, Patton quickly threw the books heâd need into his bag before cramming it shut with a huff and throwing it none too gently over his shoulder in his haste to leave. Hearing the car horn honk again he slipped on his shoes and practically ran out the door, a grateful smile on his face even in the wake of his boyfriends impatience. Roman insisted on driving him to the campus even if it wasnât that much of a walk, meaning he could sleep in a little later which he definitely needed even if he was only working one job now. He had been convinced the third month they lived together that the rent was cheap enough for him to only have to work one job- and it surprisingly was for it being a bigger and better apartment than his old one. He knew Roman probably hadnât split the rent evenly and he would really have to bring that up with him eventually so he could feel more helpful than he was being but for now as long as it was okay with Roman he felt alright using the extra money to help buy groceries and to start building his savings back up; theyâd have that conversation when he felt stable enough to actually back up what he would be offering.
Sliding into the car with a ready smile they shared a quick kiss before Patton buckled himself in and they began to move towards his college. He gripped the straps of his backpack and relaxed in the seat processing just how much his life was turning around and how lucky he was that he head found Roman- or rather that Romann had found him. He brushed that thought aside quickly; he had never brought up the fact that he had noticed Romanâs car practically everywhere significant he went, chalking it up as either coincidence or happenstance. He trusted the other now wholeheartedly and it wouldnât do any good to bring up his nervousness now nearly half a year into their relationship. Spring break was coming up and he knew Roman was planning a small trip to relax, they shared nearly everything they had in the apartment, grocery getting and meal making was always an even split between them and he could never have asked for a better listener than Roman. For the first time in a long time Patton was completely happy; he wasnât about to start questioning things and ruin it.
âWeâre here, my sunshine.â Romanâs voice brought him out of his thoughts abruptly and he leaned back up and smiled. âYou were miles away love, are you alright?â
Leaning over and pecking his boyfriend on the cheek, Patton unbuckled his seatbelt and sat his bag on his shoulder as he opened the door. âJust thinking about my classes, it's gonna be busy today. Thanks for the ride Roman, I hope you have a good day at work.â
Before he could leave his wrist was caught in a vice grip making his heart leap in his throat. Forcing himself to calm down Patton turned only to be met with a loving smile that immediately set his nerves somewhat at ease. âNo proper kiss this morning then?â
Patton laughed and leaned back in, capturing the otherâs lips somewhat messily and wriggling his hand free with a little effort, finally escaping the car and waving. âI have to go you goof! See you later.â
He didnât watch the car leave as he walked to his first class, heart still beating a little faster than normal but chiding himself internally to calm down already. Roman was needy with physical affection that was all, no need for alarm bells to go off every time something like that happened. It was just- that happened a lot. Even on days Patton didnât particularly want touched but that was just what you did in a relationship. He thought so anyway having nothing to compare it to. He shook himself out of his thoughts again, appalled at the line they had crossed. Roman was gone a lot for his job, he didnât really know what he did other than âbusinessâ but it sounded important and it meant he was often out of town for the day, so it made sense heâd be more touchy and affection neddy after such long days working so hard at what he did. The least Patton could do was reciprocate and not be so ungrateful, even if it was only in his head.
Classes went by surprisingly quickly; unfortunately with spring break approaching it meant there would be a lot of projects and essays being piled on as a final hurrah before the two blissful weeks of doing nothing but his job. Bag full to bursting with papers and notes and an extra book or two he sighed as he realized he still had his shift to cover at that restaurant before he could go home. He took a deep breath as he began to get overwhelmed, thinking of work schedules and homework schedules and how much of what projects he could get done before, during and after the break was making his head spin. He knew this would all be worth it afterwards, being able to put all of the busy work behind him and be able to figure out what he wanted to major in and focus on that instead of math he barely understood and classic literature that was nice but frankly did not belong on his priority list right now.
It dinât take him long to get to the restaurant but when he did the full parking lot made him want to turn right back around and go home. It was going to be so busy and with him already being so tired he wasnât going to lie to himself and say this would be an easy shift. No breaks would be had meaning all the school work he had would have to wait until he got home. Sighing and squaring his shoulders he went in, donned his apron and watched as his switch practically bolted out after waving to his nearly full to bursting section. Plastering on his favorite smile and whipping out the notepad and pen he started towards the closest table and hoped for the best.
-----
Hoping, as it turned out, wasnât suited for high stress situations in which at any given moment he could feel his sanity slipping away from him.
Since quitting the job at the warehouse he had taken up a couple more hours at the restaurant to make up for the lack of a second paycheck even though living with Roman made money troubleâs much easier to handle. Which meant he was running around on his feet more rather than splitting that with ;lifting heavy boxes , which in and of itself wasnât bad, but that was on a good day. This was decidedly not a good day. It had been so busy that when one table emptied it seemed he had scarcely wiped it down before it was being taken over by another family or couple waiting impatiently for their orders to be taken and their food to be made and brought out. No matter how much he smiled and suppressed his tears at being insulted or yelled at and pushed down the frustration of being left a one dollar tip or none at all the afternoon turned to late evening and it still hadnât gotten any better.
His shift was finally ended with one last wipe down of a table and he trudged into the back room utterly exhausted, dragging his feet behind him with every step and his thoughts only filled with a hot shower and bed. Swinging up his heavy backpack reminded him however of all the work he had yet to get done and he felt tears threatening to spill all over again. He was so tired, he just wanted to sleep after the incredibly crappy day he had had and on top of all that he remembered it was his turn to make dinner. Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly Patton stumbled out of the restaurant and towards the parking lot searching for Romanâs car since he had taken to picking him up from work since the move. No dark blue Sudan to be seen. For once, when he was looking for it and not searching nervously for it back before he had met Roman, the ever present car was nowhere to be seen. Adding insult to injury it started to rain slightly, prompting his tired legs to move quicker to avoid the inevitable soaking heâd get.
He was halfway home when a car pulled up beside him, his mind telling him to run and his heart clenching with nerves before a voice- Romanâs voice, called to him as he got out of the car.
âPatton, Iâm so sorry! Jeez, come get in the car!â Numbly Patton followed him to the passenger side where he was buckled in and his bag set on the floor, too tired to wave off Romanâs apology as he slumped into the seat. He was too tired for anything really, chin touching his chest more than once on the short drive home. He heard Roman chuckle softly as the engine shut off and he struggled to get his eyes open enough to unbuckle his seatbelt and leave the car. His door was opened before he could, however, backpack being scooped up and then himself being lifted from his seat as he woke up a bit more and wrapped his arms around Romanâs neck, feeling safe and content and secure.
He was set down on the couch before too long, where he could hear Roman bustling around in the kitchen as he had his eyes closed still. Shooting awake and up after a few minutes he made his way over and began rolling up his sleeves, intent on shooing Roman out of the kitchen so he could make the meal.
âGo back and rest Patton.â Roman didnât even look up from where he was slicing tomatoes.
Huffing at the dismissive tone, Patton shook his head and grabbed out the chicken patties from the freezer. âItâs my turn to make dinner that isnât fair.â
Setting the knife down, Roman gently pried the box out of his hands and steered him back to the couch. âWhat isnât fair is that you had a rough day and then you had to walk halfway home in the rain and are now exhausted. Take a quick nap Sunshine; Iâll wake you for dinner and then I can help you to organize your school things so that you donât have to be so worried about it okay?â
âRoman-â He was stopped by a finger to his lips.
âWhat kind of Prince Charming would I be if I couldnât help my damsel in distress?â Patton giggled and leaned into the forehead kiss, relaxing back into the couch and closing his eyes.
-----
He hardly remembered scarfing down his dinner or Roman helping him organize his planner. If he could get just a little bit done each day he shouldnât be thrown too far off schedule and he might actually be able to enjoy his break. Exhaustion dragged his eyelids down and he settled back into Romanâs strong chest and open arms, smiling contentedly as he felt himself be wrapped up in warmth. Everything was so fuzzy, and he was so tired-
âDid you think maybe youâd be a lot less stressed if you didn't have to work at that restaurant anymore?â
The question nearly succeeded at jarring him awake but with Roman gently rocking him and petting through his hair it hardly seemed to matter. He merely hummed in response, barely entertaining the thought as Roamn shifted seemingly to get more comfortable.
âI could even write an email of resignation for you. All you would have to do is sign off on it.â
Patton hummed again, shaking his head slightly though he wasnât sure if Roman noticed. He liked his job; sure it got frantic and frustrating sometimes but he could handle it. He had to, how else would he help pay for staying here? Loving as Roman was Patton doubted heâd want to-
âI can fully support you without any problems my love. Youâre going to college, that should be the only stress someone like you should have to worry about.â
Faintly he heard typing but it was so distant he could barely concentrate on it. He was so warm and floaty and comfortable and safe- it was fine, theyâd talk it over more tomorrow, Roman would never make a decision lille that for him while he was halfway to Dreamland.
âSleep well my sunshine. Iâll take care of everything.â And with a final kiss to the top of his head, Patton was gone, drifting off peacefully in Romanâs arms.
-----
âYou agreed it was for the best!â
âI was ASLEEP, Roman! How am I supposed to support myself now? They already had a replacement filling in for me, I can;t go back now!â
âThen it was probably for the best that you got out before they fired you!â
âWhy on EARTH-â Patton took a deep breath and held it before letting it out in a whoosh. âThey always have temps as back ups, especially in a college town, Roman. And since âIâ quit, Iâll have a really hard time getting back in.â
âBut I can help you with that-â
âI didnât ask you to-â
âIt doesnât matter!â Patton took a step back, fear crossing over his features at the darker tone Romanâs voice had adopted. His angry expression smoothed out after a second, but Patton didnât miss the way hsis fingers twitched. This wasnât really the first time Patton had been afraid in their relationship but this is just what people did- at least he thought. Roman must love him, thatâs why heâd been taking care of him and why when he saw Patton so stressed he had only wanted to take that stress away- Patton really had been an idiot. Hanging his head in shame he walked forward and gently brushed his fingers against Romanâs.
âIâm sorry. I know you were trying to help, I just- I was so tired yesterday, I wish you would have let me think it through properly. I donât want to be a burden to you.â
Oh, my sunshine.â Roman leaned down to press his cheek against the top of Pattonâs head. âYou never could be.â

âYou never could be.â So many months later and those words still ring painfully in Pattonâs head. Stupid. He had been so stupid. There had been so many warning signs and yet Patton had been too stupid and selfish to see them for what they were and now...he looked mournfully down as his thin frame, skin stretched taunt over what little muscle he had. He was cold. He was miserable. He wanted nothing more than to back in his shitty apartment with his two jobs and college classes he had been trying his best at; but instead he was here, sitting in a dingy room while he waited for someone else to pay for him to make their fantasy come true.
It had been the little things: Roman always being out of town âon businessâ he would say. Patton scoffed quietly. Some business. The second cell phone that he had found while cleaning, anger crossing Romanâs features before he brushed it off as his work phone, snatching it away just a little too forcefully to avoid suspicion. Then there was that night, his third night of break where Roman had sprung a surprise trip on him âto a nice hotel and restaurantâ and too tired and worn to decline Patton of course agreed, glad to be away from the textbooks for little while at the very least.
He had been told to dress nice, some stopping Roman in the hotelâs hall but he had waved him towards the room saying he was just paying room service early. But Patton had seen the huge money exchange and his suspicion seemed to immediately be founded, but where was he supposed to go? H knew n one except Roman, his work contacts were strangers now, he couldnât call or just simply go home. He was completely and utterly trapped. And Roman knew it. The entire ride to the restaurant Patton had wanted to throw up. He knew what was going to happen but there was no out for him. He was terrified. Terrified to go with Roman but terrified to even attempt escape. He didnât know how long he had been stalking him, whether it had been when he first noticed the caar across his apartment building or even earlier than that. He should have trusted his instincts, called the police, anything other than brush it off as coincidence and then as an even bigger one when it turned out to be his date's car. He should have left the first time he got scared around Roman, the first time he noticed he was off but he hadnât, because Roman was his dream come true, the answer to all his problems, his knight in shining armor come to help him get back on his feet.
Instead he was led into a darkened restaurant where he was stared at while Roman left, coming back with a notebook and showing him all the expenses he had managed to wrack up from what he had taken as Roman being sweet and kind. Every rent bill, overdue book, gas, groceries, heating- he had kept tabs on all of it. And It was all very, very expensive.
âHere's what's going to happen.â He had said. âWe need a new face to bring in business, so I found you. Youâll work and pay me back every centt, and then you can go. In exchange you get a free ride through college. Fair?â
And in that moment, that crucial moment, Patton simply nodded. What was he supposed to do? Say no? He knew now what saying no would have risked and his stomach growled painfully at the reminder of the punishment he was carrying out. âDeny a client,â he had said. âDeny me and I promise you you wonât want to do it again.â The warning was always close to the forefront of his mind, though he did stills lip up now and then. A no meant no food for the day, since he had already lost the money it was only fair he lost a meal. Simple on paper, excruciatingly difficult in practice.
He curled further into himself as his stomach growled again, going on the third day of his punishment, too tired to care, too utterly exhausted to question when his fall classes started so he could attempt to fix himself up before then. He existed, he floated and that was enough for everyone who came in the room at any given moment, so of course it had to be enough for him.
Patton existed, and his stomach growled and his muscled tightened when he thought he heard noises from outside and his eyes squeezed shut when they dared threaten to let any of his unshed tears fall because the last time he had gotten dehydrated no one had cared until he couldnât be woken up for an hour. His joints creaked under the weight of his odd position but it didnât matter, nothing did. He existed and he floated and his groaned and his stomach growled and curled tighter when he thought he heard noises.
And that was enough.

i feel bad for making this but i feel like i have to
babyâs first call out post
anyway,, i have some things id like to say. i have proof of all of this and it will all be under the cut. this is gonna be really long and im really sorry but its going to be the whole story so stick with me
content warning: being weird towards minors, general nsfw elements, general creepiness, weed (mentions of being high).
everyone involved except for myself and, obviously, them, will have their names blocked out for privacy reasons.
thank you for reading this in advance, i just really need to get this out.
the blog in question is @ask-crappy-fantrolls
in advance
please do not send this person hate. please. i dont care whos wrong or right, hate anons arent necessary.
lets get down to business
point one of ??: ships
im going to say right off the bat, i agreed to some of these. some of these i liked. a lot i agreed to because i was afraid to say no because i didnt want to upset them. some were forced on me. some were made without my knowledge. i will not go into specifics on which ships belong in which categories unless its necessary because this post would be extremely long, but please keep this in mind if you see me reacting positively in screenshots.
this screenshot shows me trying to break off all of our ships the first time. i say right down there at the bottom that i want all of them gone. i thought i was being pretty clear.
one of my trolls (kaivin) has a moirail to whom he is extremely attached. this isnt a secret. he is so attached, in fact, that the two share most quads. so anyone kaivin would get into a relationship with, his moirail would as well. ive posted about this many times and i believe its on his bio but dont quote me on that.
this is me trying to cut the ship off again. i really hate being mean and hurting peoples feelings so i was trying stay polite and let them know gently that hey, i dont want this. keep in mind, this took place after me attempting to cut all of our ships off.
i could put more here but im tired and itd make the post longer than it needs to be. bottom line, i got messaged about ships a lot even though i had cut them all off and literally started shipping with other people by that point. it wasnt a secret, i was posting about new ships.
small tidbit thats very nsfw: one of our ships that we had was purely for their kink, apparently.
for context: axel is my human disguised as a troll who lives on alternia.
literally if you look at cimefas bio, his whole character is just that hes kinky. thats it.
point two of ??: infantalizing me
if you dont know already; hi im joey, im 19, and im a trans man. i am an adult. a grown ass man, if you will. i do not tolerate being spoken to like a dog or a child.
with that being said, here i am being spoken to like someone would a dog or a child:
oh also theres the time they sent me an ask calling me a lesbian HDSFJKSDHF
heres that
i know it was them because they messaged me the same day, claiming not to have known, but weâd already been talking for months and i never went by she/her while having this blog. he/him is all over my blog.
anyway heres a tidbit thats not big enough for its own point but needs to be said: the flirting.
^i just wanted to show them my new shirt :/
anyway next
point three of ??: being weird with minors
okay this bit is very gross but stay with me
right there, no minors. clearly stated. thats fine! thats whatever!! heres what i have the issue with. theyre currently waiting for a few of my friends who are minors to turn 18. no, this is not a speculation. they stated this.
i am keeping minors names blocked out, they dont need to be involved in this.
(quad blocked out so the minor cant be pinpointed)
(different minor, quad blocked again)
(the minor in question is the one from the first two screenshots about âwaiting for them to turn 18âł)
for context, this was after i reblogged a post about people waiting for minors to turn 18 being gross. yes it was a vague, no i do not care. i didnt say anything to them, they came to me about this unprompted and on their own accord. if the shoe fits, i suppose.
point four of ??: copying
theres been a few instances of this, but heres the main one
i run a cool blog over at @broadcastappearâ. i got with a friend of mine and they made theirs one day, i made mine the next. of course, i was excited about this! i wanted to tell everyone about my cool new blog, so i started messaging people! them included!
before i get into the screenshots, here is the premise of both of our broadcast blogs:
slightly odd radio host trolls who talk to each other over the radio waves. my friends troll for their blog is crazy and stuck in the desert, mine is slightly less crazy and stuck in an apartment. shenanigans and extremely cryptic flirting ensue.
so i messaged them with a link to my blog after i made it.
take a closer look at that time stamp!Â
keep this in mind
i get sent a link
its a cryptic radio blog. same concept, formatting, plot, everything.
and would you look at that
same day. it was an hour later, actually.
they were confronted about this and denied that their blog had anything to do with ours, even though it was a clear rip off. their blog has since been deleted, i believe.Â
anyway, in conclusion, i just really wanted this off my chest.
do with this information what you will. i dont care if i get hate for this, the people who know my situation know how badly this has been on me mentally. ive been archiving things in a server for months while ive been trying to cut them off and im just... fed up. i cant do it anymore. i feel gross. i am the main hub that this is circling around and no one can say thing about it but me. theres a lot more to this that im not adding, mostly because theres less proof but i still know it to be true.
im tired of adults being weird and nasty in this community. i know im an adult too but at least im not gross.
anyway, call out post over. rb or smthn i dont care.
