Sokka in the top-right corner was inspired by This Post Also, I have No Idea how I want Sokka to look, and it’s in between these two ideas:

I made the sketches before I sat back and came up with the design a bit more, so that’s why it’s primarily short-haired Sokka - however, I went in-between eye color in them to try to figure out which one worked best! I don’t know if I’m going to be drawing this AU too much going forward, so I wanted to lay these out before I just dropped this idea completely, jasdkljaskl

I adore how this AU can play out in so many different ways. I’m already coming up with a Side C (which is Tangled inspired), and I still adore Side A (Sokka adopting a Knowledge Seeker as a PET)! I’ve been writing down all of my ideas for this AU and doodling it ever since then, and it’s just so funny coming up with all of the possibilities!!

HONESTLY?!!!!! we have a complicated relationship. i really like zhao as a villain and i say that so very honestly. i think people make him out to be a lot stupider than he really is but at the same time he really is stupid in the way that evil men are always stupid. i think hes extremely despicable and hideously vain and his vanity clouds his judgement and causes him to make rash decisions.

this is all stuff we know about him already though its just that somehow that makes him come off as less scary to fans somehow?? but theres nothing scarier than a big loud man with a temper when youre a teenager with trauma from a dad like ozai. that agitation he so easily draws out of zuko is familiar to me.

i think that the way he makes himself seem SOOO above zuko while simultaneously licking ozais boots to get more power makes him even more ridiculous. and in an ironic way yeah because of all that i think hes a moron but unironically no i dont think hes stupid at all. it doesnt take a stupid man to work your way through the viper nest thats the fire nation high court. i dont think it takes an idiot to find wan shi tongs library and somehow manage to slither back out alive despite clearly lying to wan shi tongs face under his own roof. i dont think it takes an idiot to deduce who the blue spirit is. however it DOES take an idiot to think that killing the moon spirit to be rid of waterbenders when you come from a literal island nation in the tropics and your military relies heavily on its navy and you LITERALLY are using an armada to launch this grand attack

and the fact that zhaos ambitions were centered on making himself more powerful and admired and he was doing literally everything to get zuko out of the way to make that happen when zukos reasons for capturing aang were so much more desperate and sad (not that that makes it ok but yall know what i mean). Like its just sooo aggravating and thats when i stop caring about how cool Zhao The Conqueror is as a villain and when i start wanting to pummel him with a cartoonishly large hammer

i definitely want a vtuber au as a means to explore genderfuckery but i think objectively the funniest option is corpo vtuber agency sisheng peak

chu wanning is a rescue, he used to be employed under rufeng productions but suddenly graduated. after his graduation it slowly came to light that rufeng is extremely exploitative and neglectful with it's livers.

he's the first liver in sisheng peak -- honestly, sisheng peak wasn't even supposed to be an agency at the start, xue zhengyong just noticed his specialest princess was feeling down now that he couldn't stream anymore and decided to lend a hand

tanlang elder/xie fengya becomes cwn's manager, they have a very endearing bickering relationship.

xzy is affectionately called tianshi-laoban by fans, as he is also anonymous for the most part and is extremely beloved.

in rufeng cwn had the persona of a scholarly, tortured (musical) idol with extremely deep lore, he was adored for his guqin streams as well as asmr.

im sorry to say this but the funniest option for cwn's new vtuber persona is xia sini. extremely deep-voiced child saying "mods, ban him". he is obviously immediately nicknamed the boss baby.

the guqin streams return, the asmr streams do not. it is heavily theorized he was being forced to do the asmr.

cwn, partly due to his previous renown and the drama tied to rufeng, is a massive success

there's more than enough to profit coming in to fund any projects cwn wants to carry out (mostly some extremely ambitious charity streams) and xzy can't think of anything better to do with all this anime boyfriend cash than support more up-and-coming creatives and make more anime boyfriends.

thus enters their conservative second wave! the promos are angel-and-devil themed, which briefly makes people very excited that maybe tianshi-laoban is debuting but alas, that is not the case

shi mei and taxian-jun drop and some people are sad there's no ceo

most of them are just excited about the femboy and the daddy dom

shi mei (irl: hua binan) is the most sickeningly sweet powerfully pink femboy you have ever seen in your life. he opens every stream with a charmingly cringe "hi honeys! <3"

he does a cutesy voice and plays up a sweet adorable character during his debut but his first non-debut stream is "getting over it" and that image is shattered very quickly and he gets a reputation for being surprisingly foul-mouthed. probably for the better, he was liable to kill someone with an icepick if he had to keep doing that voice.

he plays a lot of horror games with a heart rate monitor and gets clipped for the fact that his heartrate never spikes.

taxian-jun (irl: mo ran) is the sort of obnoxious sultry daddy dom you expect him to be. he's the only one who really bothers with a lore video. a demon emperor who died lonely, nobody willing to love him due to his out of control temperament, only to be reborn and shown his first scraps of kindness by tianshi-laoban and xia sini.

he does so much asmr. a nauseating amount of boyfriend experience asmr

I kinda seen some spoilers i think, but i might have gotten totally wrong idea

Chu Wanning isn't as bad as Mo Ran sees him, he probably has a softer side to him

I don't know how they will end up being the main couple, i don't see it at all xD Like, sure, Mo Ran lusts over him, but... that seems very twisted and it doesnt come from a place of love and affection and admiration

speaking of love and admiration, the way he is gentle towards Shi Mei makes me giggle and kick my feet. He's so awestruck its lovely.

there had to be something more to Shi Mei death. Chu Wanning has already been shown to care for his disciples, especially Shi Mei. He wouldn't want him to die, i don't think so. Either he couldn't help him or maybe he knew something about Shi Mei, Mo Ran didn't. Would Shi Mei betray Mo Ran? Did Chu Wanning care more about Mo Ran and didn't want to let that happen? I don't even want to think about it! I love Shi Mei, he's such a precious little thing stuck between fucked up individuals that is Mo Ran and their shizun.

So you know in the Yangchen books how her past lives would frequently possess her body at the absolute WORST TIMES for example, the past life that had really really really bad claustrophobia possessing her when she was in a tight claustrophobic space and making her freak out? Yeah that. You know how none of the avatars after Yangchen never seemed to deal with this? Well I headcanon that the reason why was because Yangchen actively BLOCKED the previous incarnations for pulling that same awful shit with every avatar after her.

So what do you think is gonna happen when Yangchen has been removed from the avatar cycle (and teenified) and is no longer to keep the others from fighting over Aang like a chew toy?

(aka a bunch of random headcanons I came up with for the avatars we only have names and even a few of the nameless ones)

Szeto first of all had BAD sleep paralysis. Like almost every night, hallucination fo something just standing over him (or in some cases full on trying to strangle him) and he cant move or even speak levels of bad. Also had severe hemophobia (fear of blood) and would literally faint at the sight of blood (hehehehe)

Next is Salai who had severe thalassophobia (fear of the ocean/ fear of deep bodies of water) like he would get full on panic attacks every single time he had to cross the ocean. Even worse since I headcanon that he drowned in a a severe storm while sailing on the ocean. And considering the fact that the gaang presumably spends a few weeks on a BOAT on the OCEAN to get from the Northern Water Tribe to General Fong's base...yeah thats gonna be a really bad time for Aang.

Avatar Gun, aka the one that possessed Yangchen to go on a rant about how humanity is selfish and uncaring, how they expect you to pull of a hundred miracles and then get mad you didnt do a hundred and one, yeah...they're gonna be a fun one (also they are nonbinary now because they were never said to be male or female and the wiki used they them pronouns for them so bite me) aside from...that they also absolutely HATED crowds, like avoided them at all costs unless absolutely necessary, otherwise would be sweating and shaking the entire time until they could leave. (Which means Omashu, Ba Sing Se, literally any crowded town or city is gonna be absolute HELL for our favorite little airbender)

(When Kaaza bent them back out, there was nothing but blood, broken pulverized bones and completely crushed organs...) Yeah its gonna be a lot bloodier than in canon (None of General Fong's soldiers will die Im not gonna traumatize Aang THAT badly, but they will be maimed very badly.)

She's the avatar that was absolutely terrified of the Spirit World, to the point that it caused Yangchen's sister Jetsun to get kidnapped by spirits when they went there (because you know the spirits get hostile when you're afraid and guess who decided to pop in at the worst moment?) Luckily this one isnt going to cause too much trouble since I dont think Aang actually goes to the spirit in books two and three unless you count Wan Shi Tong's Library (though Aang is not gonna have a good time when Avatar Imiq starts freaking out because of Wan Shi Tong) but I havent rewatched the show in awhile so I could be wrong

Also you know the avatar that had claustrophobia? That was Wan. With the exception of his tree house Wan absolutely hated small tight spaces. And that is something he was going to make everyone's problem (just like how every avatar inherited Wan's iconic crooked avatar smile, every avatar also inherited some claustrophobia, some worse than others. Unfortunately thats now gonna be Aang's problem)

I just keep coming up with these and thinking "What would suck/be the most inconvenient for Aang to have in this moment" and then assigning that to one of the past lives

For those who don't know, the Weak Hero webtoon anglicized a bunch of the characters' first names from Korean to English. They don't do this for newly introduced characters anymore AFAIK, but all the names they anglicized initially have been kept that way.

Since I've gotten a few people asking about the names, so I decided to compile a list of their original Korean names. Things I liked:

Sokka with the little girl 🥺 so cute

Always LOVED the concept of Hei Bai. the spirits haunting a place. fuck yeah.

Zuko’s facial expressions of utter exasperation are so great

A lot of people have expressed a dislike of Aang’s change of personality but I am actually liking it. I always felt the og did not explore Aang’s guilt enough and tended to brush over it where this Aang is taking on all this responsibility bc he left and his entire world was wiped out. that guilt would just be unbearable. They could have included some more fun-loving moments, but it could be worse and they are pressed for time so I can forgive it to some extent so far.

Hei Bai looks incredible holy shit

Sobbing screaming launching myself into the void about Katara seeing Kya and the Fire Nation attack on the village. Absolutely gut wrenching when it transitions from older Katara to little Katara.

Koh looks absolutely terrifying. it’s perfect 🤩

Things I’m not a fan of:

Why did you guys think Ozai keeps giving Zuko praise to put Azula down? Is it to make the audience more sympathetic for her? If so, do you think that’s a good thing? From first glance Im not a big fan. Im curious to see how they’ll handle this going forward, especially since they’ve introduced Ozai and Azula so early.

While Wan Shi Tong looked AMAZING I’m sort of confused why they chose to introduce him this way rather than wait for a second season (if it gets renewed) and have him introduced in the desert which would be a far better introduction than him just info-dumping abt the spirit world. it feels a bit shallow introducing him like this

I forgot to mention this before but I think they needed to include more Zhao being a villain like in the og. We have not had enough adversity between him and Zuko and I wasn’t a fan of them working together. I’m keeping an open mind going into the next episode, but like. Zuko and Zhao had an intense hatred of each other in the og and it just feels weird not having that there. Zuko does not respect Zhao. Like at all. I really hope they keep Zhao trying to have Zuko killed in, since they removed other moments like the Agni Kai.

This was fine, although I feel like the pacing of this episode felt a bit off, but overall it was fine!
