the great adventures of y/n tommy tubbo jack and ranboo - how y/n made friends with everyone

this is an extra to the great adventures series

tommy

you were actually friends with tommy when he was streaming to a few viewers, and you even watched as his channel grew. eventually he asked you to mod for him, as he knew he could trust you and because had experience being a twitch mod. he was also the reason you began streaming. as for how you met, you were in the same classes as him in highschool, and since you were the ‘quiet’ person in the class, they sat tommy next to you. honestly, you hated him when you first met him and the feeling was mutual. you didn’t want to sit next to the rather loud teenager and he had no one to talk to anymore as his friends were on the other side of the room.

“do you ever talk?”

“heh?”

“i said do you ever talk...do you always do that”

“do what”

“that fucking HeH.”

“are you mocking me simons?”

“noooo why would i do that...”

“it’s y/n.”

“right, yeah, yeah, i totally knew that.”

“great now please leave me alone i’m trying to work.”

“loser.”

“the fuck did you just say?”

“nothing.”

it was that moment tommy decided he was going to make you just like him, and a few years later that’s exactly what he did. by year 11 you and tommy had grown extremely close. the last day of school arrived a lot earlier than expected, everyone was extremely stressed, no one knew what to expect or what was going to happen. you found yourself hanging around with tommy a lot more as you had no idea if you would both be going to the same college, in september you received a text message that made your night:

tommy: college sent out emails telling you if you were accepted go check

*2 minutes later*

tommy: well?

y/n: i got accepted

tommy: me too

y/n: call me right now

tommy: i’m about to stream..have you ever considered streaming?

y/n: absolutely not

tommy: make an account and stream after me i’ll raid you..make me mod you know how people can be

once college started up, you were slightly nervous the two of you would drift away from each other. however this was far from the case, although you both did different subjects and he was only in on wednesdays, the pair of you would hang out together a lot more. he would be in your streams and vice versa, you would either be in his tiktoks, or you would be the one filming them.

“y/n make a tiktok we can be mutuals.”

“please god no.”

you spent so much time at his house either talking about random things, playing whatever game you could find, or streaming. he dragged you to every meet up he went on, allowing you to meet people such as niki, phil, and, wilbur. you didn’t know this, but he would constantly bring you up in conversations with dream, which eventually lead to you joining the smp in october where you would later be able to meet the likes of jack, technoblade and jschlatt. the only person you didn’t seem to see on the server was his other friend tubbo.

ranboo

you had become friends with scott after being his first twitch mod and when he noticed you started streaming, he was extremely supportive, always raiding your stream once he ended his. today you found yourself bickering with scott because he wouldn’t let you in mcc despite the fact you were ‘the best minecraft player.’

“y/n, i watched you die in minecraft 7 times last night within 5 minutes.”

“oh i’m sorry mr perfect, let me in mcc.”

“no.”

“fine i’ll make my own.”

and that’s exactly what you did..well you tried your best.

you started your stream as soon as scott ended and had him call you on discord after explaining to your chat what you were about to do.

“scott final chance let me in mcc, i’ll settle for access to the practice server.”

“fine.”

“REALLY?!”

“absolutely not!”

“fuck you, ill be in it one day!”

you left the call telling chat you didn’t need that negative energy in your life.

you really have scott to thank for you making friends with ranboo, scott made a tweet explaining what you were doing on stream which caught ranboos eye.

Smajor1995: after not making it into mcc again my good friend @y/n has decided to take it upon themselves to make their own on stream!! ill also be in the stream (if they answer my calls) *twitch link*

ranboo joined your stream and was instantly met with you yelling at scott (again) to let you in mcc.

“IM YOUR TWITCH MOD!”

“i will ban you from mcc!”

“you don’t have the nerve... so he left the call this is bullshit watch me land this water bucket clutch down this ravine so we can find axolotls and build an army.”

*you died*

you pulled your hood over your face before sinking down your chair taking a deep breath.

“FUCK!”

you calmly got back up and looked into your camera.

“i was so close, so very close.. HEY CHAT SCOTT SENT ME A LINK TO THE SERVER!”

a few minutes later you were able to get onto the server, only to be kicked less than a minute later. the reason you were banned being ‘i watched you fail the water bucket clutch down a ravine.’

you continued your build on your server and just spent the rest of the stream talking about anything that crossed your mind, that was until you decided to copy ace race. once finished, you looked into your camera and pulled your microphone closer to you.

“so this is race ace, so scott doesn’t sue me, and basically it’s going to be this course, but i’m going to change a random section practice it every day, not tell anyone it changed. of course i’m going to tell my team we have to win, oh fuck i forgot scott was watching my stream..it’s okay he didn’t hear me he’s too busy planning how he can rig the next mcc.”

ranboo found himself enjoying your content and even noticed you in his chat multiple times.

“just a minute chat i’m just sending an important dm to my mods.”

that’s when you noticed chat paused for a minute after you sent a message, it confused you for a minute before realising ranboo made you a vip on his channel and you decided to do the same for him on your channel, from there you added each other on discord. the pair of you made friends extremely quickly, you were constantly part of his streams as you would call him on discord not realising that he was streaming.

“hi y/n, by the way i’m streaming”

“i just wanted to ask if you knew how to break into a house?”

“....why”

“i locked myself out by accident and my parents are asleep come help me.”

“you are in the uk.”

“okay? catch a flight.”

chat honestly loved you and your friendship with ranboo. the pair of you only met a few weeks ago and you were already acting as though you had known each other for years.

jack

you and jack met for the first time on the smp, which would have been fine, however you met during lore and your characters weren’t exactly the best of friends. once lore had ended, everyone said their goodbyes and left the call. a few moments later you received a discord message from jack asking if you were available to call any time soon. since you were back in lockdown, you had plenty of free time. you arranged a time and date a few days later you called jack, where you had your first proper interaction out of character.

“hello jack!!”

“oh hi y/n i just thought it may be a good idea to get to know each other, well you know considering we’re both on the dream smp.”

“yeah, yeah, i understand what you mean.”

the pair of you ended up getting along with each other, it was slightly awkward for the first 5 minutes of the call, but that was expected since you hadn’t really met jack before and were anxious to call him. however, after that the conversation started to flow and you found out the pair of you had a lot in common making it easy to come up with things to talk about. it ended up feeling as though you were catching up with a friend you hadn’t spoken to for a while.

“has anyone told you your accent is really strong.”

“so is yours, y/n, what the fuck is that supposed to mean.”

“it means your accent is strong, duh.”

jack asked if you’d like to stay in call and join him on the smp whilst he streamed, and you gladly accepted the offer as you really didn’t want to do your college work, and you were enjoying your time with him. a few minutes into the stream jack had killed you several times.

“JACK STOP KILLING ME!”

rather than answering you he just sat laughing. he then went on to attempt to mute him microphone, he failed. however he didn’t realise this, so you sat listening to his plan on how he was going to kill you again. this time you were prepared, you sent a message to tommy telling him to log on along with your location. few minutes later tommy was by your side and helped you kill jack several times for revenge.

“Y/N...TOMMY!!”

“you didn’t mute your mic, so i told tommy you were bullying me.”

“im gonna go...BYE JACK, BYE Y/N, ILL SEE YOU SOON!”

“i can’t believe you.”

“hey you’re the one who didn’t turn your mic off.”

“how did you know?”

“i had your stream on my other monitor.”

“ayeee you watch my streams?”

“...i’ve been a sub for 4 months.”

the two of you stayed chatting and playing for another hour. the pair of you were already so close and you had only met each other the other day. this was just the start of your friendship, soon enough you were in a laugh and the stream ends challenge on his stream, however due to lockdown rules this was done over discord leading to you accidentally leaving the call several times.

“and they’re gone again!”

*4 minutes later*

“SORRY JACK IM BACK!”

“stop leaving y/n!”

“oh i’m sorry, let me just go yell at my wifi to stop cutting out!”

a few seconds later you could be heard faintly in the background screaming at your wifi as it would continue to buffer. as soon as restrictions were over one of the first things you decided to do was go to jacks and stream a laugh you lose where there was a punishment if you were responsible for losing the last heart. however everything was apparently hilarious in person as you would constantly laugh, meaning you were responsible for losing the last heart.

“y/n give me your phone.”

“no.”

“you lost let me tweet from your account”

“fine..”

soon enough your fans and friends with your notifications on received this twitter notification

“y/n: jack is so cool and funny he is also really tall i am not”

tubbo

tubbo was actually the last person you met and made friends with, your community were convinced for some reason that you both didn’t like each other and that’s why the pair of you didn’t talk to each other. this was far from the case you were both waiting for the right time, tubbo was an extremely busy teenager and you didn’t want to interrupt him, and tubbo knew you were currently in a stressful position since you had recently joined the dream smp, also you were still meeting people so he didn’t want to stress you out. this doesn’t mean he didn’t want to be your friend, he actually asked tommy since he had been your friend for at least 4 years what would be the best way of getting to know you.

“mate they hated me when we first met, just talk to them or something. you could have met them the last time i went up to visit you, but they ended up not feeling too good and went back to the hotel room.”

“when are you next coming up?”

“how about next week, and i’ll bring y/n, i really don’t understand why you’re nervous tubbo, it’s y/n they wouldn’t hurt a fly..well hmm.”

“see you next week then!”

a week later tommy dragged you to the train station.

“uh tommy where are we going?”

“...on a train.”

“no way, really? oh my god!”

a few hours later you finally got off the train.

“ill go with my dad to check into the hotel room, do you want to come with us or?”

“i think i’ll go for a walk and stretch my legs.”

“right okay, meet you at the beach later”

you spent a few minutes walking around the beach picking up any rocks and shells that caught your eye, little did you know it would result in you meeting tubbo. once you finished putting your new collection in your pockets you noticed a small crowd of people walk up to someone asking for pictures assuming it was tommy you walked over to the boy, it wasn’t tommy it was in fact tubbo. at first you stayed silent not wanting to really cause attention to yourself. you only spoke up when some people started to make inappropriate comments towards him.

“oh sorry to be a pain guys me and tubbo have plans with tommy in a few minutes, we should go so we’re not late. bye guys.”

you smiled and waved as they walked away. you looked over to tubbo, you could tell he was still pretty anxious about what just happened and honestly if you was in his position, you would react the same way.

“we should probably move from here incase they come back and see you’re still here, are you okay?”

“im feeling better now it’s over..thank you”

“oh it’s no problem i’m, y/n btw.”

“wait you and tommy were still meant to be on the train.”

“the train was actually on time, tommy went to check into the hotel i wanted to stretch my legs, i also wanted to collect some rocks.”

“did you collect enough or did you want more?”

“im not going to say no if you wanna go collect some with me.”

the pair of you walked around keeping each other close incase the people from before returned. half an hour later, the pair of you sat on a bench close to the beach so you could show tubbo everything you decided to pick up, he ended up keeping a rock he liked to have as a memory. tubbo wrapped an arm around you as it was getting cold whilst you watched the sunset.

“tubbo i think tommy forgot about me.”

“you can spend the night at mine, i’ll send him a message to let him know.”

“are you sure?”

“of course!”

“this has to be the most unsafe thing either of us will ever do, we hardly know each other and now i’m staying at yours.”

tommy sent you a message explaining that he didn’t forget, there was a problem at the other hotel and they had to go find another one, but you’ll be fine to stay at tubbos for the night. the pair of you spent the entire night learning as much as you can about the other person. it had only been an evening but you already knew the pair of you would be great friends.

Tommy:

- Karl Canon: Not much interaction with Toms, but he seemed funny, if chaotic. He was kinda unimpressed when I ended up with the Syndicate, though :/ but that’s fair!! :]

- Quackity Canon: Ehhhh,,, I mean. After the election? It wasn’t gonna be a totally cheerful acquaintanceship but that’s alright. After I helped Tubbo leave (L’)Manburg with me, Tommy seemed at least alright with dealing with me. But eventually he became like a distant younger brother to me, so that was nice.

- Technoblade Canon: Tommy Danger Kraken Innit. Dear God how much chaos can that one boy cause? He was tiring, loud, generally hard to deal with, but I loved him as my brother. I’ll admit it, I was protective of him, and it was nice to have him around in the house once we got used to each other again.

- Ghostbur & Wilbur Soot Canon: TOMMY MOMENT :] he was a Phoenix hybrid, and I loved hanging around him, causing chaos together as Wilbur. After I became Ghostbur, there was certainly a strain in the friendship :[ but I built it back up!!!

Tubbo:

- Karl Canon: Not much interaction with him, either. :[ but he seemed very nice, if stressed out.

- Quackity Canon: After the election, I really took him under my wing (pun completely intended) and kept him as safe as I could. He was nice!! Very pog to talk to, and it was great once we got out of the country.

- Technoblade Canon: Aside from the whole “he was with the government and also tried to execute me”? He seemed fine, I guess. I think he was too young to be doing what he was doing, but eh. Could’ve been a worse leader, I suppose.

- Ghostbur & Wilbur Soot Canon: TUBBO!! God, that kid was great. Always down to chat and annoy Tommy, and was one of the first to help out with the memory issues I gained as Ghostbur.

Technoblade:

- Karl Canon: Terrifying, actually!! Though when I joined the Syndicate he seemed much more chill. As the Blood God and a good friend of Phil’s, he was quick to work out the time travel thing, so I guess he was pretty smart.

- Quackity Canon: Sheer fear. I feared that man. I was angry with him, sure, but I feared him significantly more. At least we both banded together in the “Protect TommyInnit” club.

- Technoblade Canon: N/A

- Ghostbur & Wilbur Soot Canon: He was distant :[ but he was happy to listen to my music and help me tease Tommy. Once the whole Ghostbur thing happened, he really disliked me for a while, found it really hard to trust me again. But he was nice once he did!!

Niki:

- Karl Canon: Didn’t interact :[ but seemed kind, and very sweet. Her bakery was nice when I got to go the few times I did.

- Quackity Canon: Basically the same as my Karl canon, but I felt really guilty about the bakery thing.. I might have given her a large tip when I could so she could keep afloat.

- Technoblade Canon: She was nice. That was about all my opinion on her, though. At least she hated Manburg as much as me.

- Ghostbur & Wilbur Soot Canon: NIKI!!! Oh I loved her (platonically). She was super kind and always happy to chill. Also she was very responsible. Ghostbur happened, and she didn’t seem to mind too much, very happy to help me out.

Ranboo:

- Karl Canon: Bad memory gang!!! :]!! He was chill, if nervous, and we banded together over our books and memory. Very pog of him.

- Quackity Canon: He was a good kid, but I didn’t talk to him much, always seemed scared of me. I guess it was fair. Wish I’d talked to him more.

- Technoblade Canon: Took him under my wing immediately, trained him, helped him with his memory book. I guess I got very attached to the kid, whoops. He was a good kid, I’m glad he joined the syndicate and got pretty far from Dream.

- Ghostbur & Wilbur Soot Canon: Platonically married Tubbo which irritated Tommy, a 10/10 moment. He was always hanging around Techno as well, and he liked my music. Helped me with memory and wasn’t too scared of me when I was Ghostbur as well.

OH BOY that got, um, ramble-y. Whoops. Maybe I shouldn’t be allowed to write so much, haha. :] Thanks for asking, Mellohi!!! And sorry I wrote so much,,

Writing request! Carl and Sawyer (some version of you, I’m not sure where Carl usually fits in) have stumbled into the same dungeons and dragons forum and become closer through battling together (not 100% sure of Carl’s personality, be him not the type for this or totally the type). This can be a silly throw away or warmup up one since it is me.

Okay, so Cherry sent me this like forever ago. I wrote it, they read it because they live with me, but I forgot to actually post it! The name change to Kane is going smoothly, and I’m ready to never think about that asshole as Karl again lmaooooo

So, yeah, Kane and I play some DnD and he’s not subtle about anything ever at all.

I’ll have to wait until after I post this to change the colors of the different people in the text chats because lord knows I look at those strings of chat-text and have a time sifting through it. Homestuck has spoiled me.

I don’t think Kane knows I know.

If the smattering of ‘kid’ in our correspondences hadn’t tipped me off, it would definitely have been the way he made his character. I doubt anyone else would get the joke or see what he’s doing, but seriously? His character isn’t anything like him, of course.

If he were to be himself, he’d be a tiefling fighter. Either scout (ha) or cavalier archetype. He’d be a faction agent. Making a call between the chaotic alignments might be a shaky one sometimes. His attributes terribly skewed toward charisma and dexterity.

But he’s chosen a true neutral urchin. A mastermind rogue. An eladrin. The attributes are fairly balanced, save for dexterity always hovering above the others and strength a little lacking. Nothing like Kane. Not at all.

No, that’s the point.

He made a character that is exactly what I end up presenting myself as in the damn Cube. How I always play in console RPGs. Behavior just not erratic enough to be chaotic. Snarky and angry, never overtly because of the need to cover every goddamn emotion up. Inconsistent.

I’m not sure when I realized it was him. I thought it might be a member of the Collective when I first got the invitation from an unknown player. With Haz, j355, Hal, and Jax as mods of the server and tag-teaming as DMs, I slowly caught on to Kane’s game.

He’s making fun of me. He must have been playing with this character for some time, with their high level, and I wonder how long he’s been planning this.

It took me a little bit to even realize most of the similarities between myself and the character. My own character, a homebrew ice genesai, a brawler, bonded fairly quickly with them because they’re both urchins and saved each others’ asses when their time in the city overlapped.

He uses my lines, though. The whole ‘I’ll be fine’ shtick and his character has mentioned being a poet several times. After that, it took a few more days of play to start realizing it was him. That it was Kane playing such a long game.

The first time it occured to me, it was a bad call on what the endolin would do. We were looking for the deed to a seemingly abandoned manor. We hadn’t run into anything but low-level scavenging animals. In short, any good player would be a little on-edge and I was waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Halexander (MOD): Alright. The second you both clear the door, it slams shut behind you.Match (SeeSaw): Crap.Videre (ANON): whats in the room?Halexander (MOD): It’s a pretty nondescript room. Pretty small, almost looks like a study with three desks lining one wall and a bookshelf on another. There’s a couch shoved into a corner, looks like it was slept in recently.Match (SeeSaw): Can we roll investigation real quick?Halexander (MOD): Go for it, dude.Match (SeeSaw): 5Halexander (MOD): You notice that, unlike the rest of the place, there’s no dust. The whole room is swept clean of it. That’s it. The epitome of observation.Match (SeeSaw): Okay. Videre?Videre (ANON): nah im goodHalexander (MOD): You sure? Just gonna barge in there?Videre (ANON): the doors locked right what else can we do?Match (SeeSaw): Whatever. I was so used to the DMs at least pretending to need time to formulate responses that Hal’s immediate block of text took me by surprise.

Halexander (MOD): The two of you cross the room in different directions, as if by silent agreement. Match is slower, being more hesitant, so Videre gets to the desks first. Before you can do more than peer at the desk, however, there is a cry behind you. The bedding on the couch lashed out and has taken Match captive. Match, a blanket has one wrist and a facemask has bound itself over your eyes due to your proximity when the animation first occurred. Roll Initiative.Match (SeeSaw): Whaaaaat. Not cool. Okay, 16.Halexander (MOD): Enchanted Bedding got 12.Halexander (MOD): Videre?Videre (ANON): am i far enough away that i can stay out of order and keep looking through the drawers?

They searched every single drawer before helping me, by which time I was almost dead and being smothered by a pillow. They found the deed and I chewed them out on the way back to town. They said they knew I would be fine, they needed to find the deed, and there was no harm done.

Having already seen the parallels this anonymous player was making between their character and myself, I bristled at my computer.

And I had a good idea who was on the other side of the computer after that. Especially after I found out he’d done a covert investigation check with Hal instead of sharing with me. He knew there was an enemy in the room before we even entered. Was likely planning on using me as a distraction from the beginning.

The next time he surprised me, we were working for the owner of an orphanage to find ways to exploit parents interested in adoption. Match goes along with it because why not. Also because fuck adults.

But Videre surprised both me and Jax.

I didn’t know what to think. By this point, I knew it was Kane. The fact that I asked Haz helps, but I know the way he talks to me. He’s the only one that would do this and keep up with it for so long.

So now, I’m not exactly sure what to do.

Match just died, like D-E-D, dead, and Videre is flipping the fuck out. The two of them had become fairly close friends. They were snarky and prickly toward each other, but they were partners in crime and would likely kill for each other.

Videre gets really scary in the final stretch of that fight.

I didn’t realize Kane thought so highly of my intimidation skills. I didn’t think he thought highly of me at all, not outside of work. I was just a tool and a weapon and something to either give orders to or take orders from.

But Videre is a force of nature toward the end. Being a mastermind rogue, they confuse the ice devil as well as fighting it. They show a lot of skill they didn’t before, turning a few unlucky rolls into happy mistakes. Even they seem surprised when they win.

Hi!! I’ve been thinking about the ask response guidelines! Partly because nobody apparently reads them, and partly because the have not been updated since Mod Maude installed them! Which may be why nobody reads them: they’re old and outdated! :V Uh oh!

Since this blog has grown and changed since 2016 [wow!], I thought maybe they could be freshened up and changed from what they currently are! Here are the newly rewritten ones! If anyone has suggestions for them, I would appreciate the input! To add something, or to remove something, or to reword a confusing sentence, and so on! I mean, I kinda feel ‘dont be a jerk’ is sort of obvious, but it seems helpful to have a guidelines type page to refer to as the most basic guide for a code of conduct!

Also I’d like for people to stop being so mean in ask responses! Like, have I ever posted an AR that was totally vitriolic? Who is encouraging people to be mean like that? What the?! im confus!

Rules:

#1 Don’t be a jerk.

The one hard, unbreakable rule! Please remember you are speaking with a stranger. Perhaps your close friend is fine with hearing “holy fuck are you out of your mind? There’s no way that this happened, that character was implying this, etc etc.” But complete strangers on the internet may not understand if you are joking or mean that in a casual manner. Especially since emotions and tone of voice can be difficult to discern through only text, without additional body and vocal language and so on. Assuming you are able to read body language since that is kind of difficult for some people.

#2 Do not send in threats.

No rape threats, suicide baiting, suicide threads, death threats, etc. This one may get you ip blocked. Consider yourself warned.

Do and Do Nots [or rather, more bendable code of conduct than hardcoded guidelines]:

💖 Do remember the person may be referring to their personal experiences/canons. Particularly if they are speaking of events, people, or relationships, etc that do not resemble the known source canon. Kinsplaining a person’s source to them is kind of a drag.

💖 Do ask someone to contact you off anon. If you want someone to contact you on a side blog, please reblog the relevant confession mentioning this. Trust me, people do check post notes for friendly faces! :3

💖 Do offer to make a kincord, or invite an confessor to join a discord if they mention an interest in finding one for a kintype or canon, be it an unusual or obscure one.

💖 Do not ask someone to interact with your anonymous ask response message in order to contact you. Again, please do reblog a post requesting contact or come off anon. It’s scary to put yourself out there, I know, but I’m sure you’ll get much better results that way.

💖 Do not tell someone to simply blacklist a thing they are displeased with seeing. I guarantee that if they could, they have already blacklisted it. Additionally, sometimes a fandom at large does not tag something they see as good, or popular, or personally unobjectionable. [Party note: does this need to be said? I feel it could be already covered under Rule #1 ]

what are ask responses?

They are anonymous or non-anonymous ask messages sent in reply to a posted confession. Generally they are sent because the person does not wish to come off anon, or are not publicly kin or presenting as a system on their main blog. They are generally available alongside with or replacing post replies. It depends if post replies are enabled. Both are legitimate ways of responding to someone, in addition to reblogging a confession.

How do I send in an ask response?

Simply send in an ask message. It is suggested, but not required, that you also put a ‘@’ symbol at the start of your message to make it clear it’s an ask response. That way it will be posted ASAP, and not mistaken for a confession. There are many confessions posted per day, and sometimes we mods are not sure if an ask message is a response or confession. Hence the suggested use of an ‘@’ symbol. However it’s required and you don’t have to use an ‘@’ symbol every time.

Did you get my ask response?

We might have! It could still be on the queue since we intersperse the ask responses between confessions so it’s not a deluge of a single type of post. Or we may not have received it. Please feel free to send in an ask about where it might have gone, and what keywords or topics we can search for to find it with.

Why didn’t you post my ask response?

It may have gone against the Ask Response Guidelines [see above] or tumblr ate it due to spam detection. Feel free to resend it and we’ll post it asap. Or it’s simply that we didn’t realize it was an ask response until a day or so afterwards. In which case we’ll queue it up to post asap with the latest ask responses.

I didn’t like that ask response to my confession, and honestly don’t appreciate it’s response for personal reasons.

I'm sorry. We do vet responses so that they are not derogatory, overly hateful or vitriolic, or explaining things you the confessor may already know. If we post an ask response, it's because we feel it may be helpful to you or others, or feels generally neutral, or may be positive and cheering towards you or others. If you consider an ask response to your confession crosses a line, please feel free to let us know and we'll handle it somehow.

I’m not going to read all those words in the guidelines. What’s the tldr?

Be nice! Don’t be mean! Write like you’re messaging someone for the first time and you want to make a good impression! No threats of any kind!

(I’m sorry, look. I’ll obviously see what I can come up with, but I snorted. It’s just really funny because I probably read about thirty of those fics after the last book came out. Not that that’s a bad thing, of course. Most of them were discernibly different, I can’t imagine it will be too hard to turn my (admittedly generic) prompts into something interesting.)

There are a few ways Nico’s 3-day infirmary stay can go.

Considering Nico agreed to go, and willingly followed Will after talking to Percy and Annabeth, he could be perfectly fine with sitting around waiting for himself to heal, albeit a little uncomfortable because there are a lot of people there who are wary of him. He makes people nervous and that makes him nervous. If you go that way, a lot of Will’s interactions with Nico, along with daily checkups, could be assuring him that, given time, people will realize and accept that Nico belongs just as much as everyone else. Nico starts trusting Will more and more as time goes on, and lets himself be a little more open with him. It makes Will happy to see that Nico is more comfortable around him, and oh, is he cute? I totally didn’t realize (he did). Blah, blah, big crushes develop, realistically it probably takes longer than three days for them to actually start dating, but at the end of the three days, maybe one of them invites the other to hang out with them. Even if it’s just casually, they’re both blushing pretty hard.

OR, Nico could go to the infirmary, and quickly realize that he regrets this decision with every fiber of his being. Everything Will says to (or even around) him is met with a snarky response and closed-off body language (i.e., arms crossed over his chest, not looking anyone in the eye, staying hunched over most of the time). Despite all that, Will is determined to make Nico see that he’s worth having around, because he knows Nico has been in a “nobody wants the Ghost King around” mindset for around four years, ever since the events in The Titan’s Curse. Maybe he acts extra-goofy when he interacts with Nico, cracking bad medical jokes and putting on weird accents when he’s doing Nico’s examinations, trying to make him laugh, or at least smile. A “gods, you’re freaking weird” smirk would be acceptable, too. At some point, he actually does manage to make Nico laugh, and gets one of those “his smile is amazing” moments, and down the “falling for Nico” rabbit hole he goes.

It could also be kind of fun if Will had Nico helping him out, doing some odd jobs around the infirmary to keep him busy, since he has to be there anyway and the bite of his arm and the no-shadow-traveling thing don’t really require bed rest. Nothing with the patients of course; Nico is adamant about not wanting to make anything worse by trying to help, although Will insists he wouldn’t. While they’re doing something around the infirmary together, Will attempts to make conversation. Nico questions him, and Will’s response could be something along the lines of “I want to know what you’re so worried about, so I can make it easier for you to want to be here.” It takes a while to get Nico to open up, after being closed-off for so long, but when he finally does, Will promises that he’ll always have a friend at camp, no matter what. “Who?” “Me.”(Boom, feelings, whaddup. I’m actually really bad at writing romance.)

I think three should be enough, they’re all more like plot synopses than prompts. Anyway, I hope you can find something in there that will be useful! - Mod Kylee

I don’t care and Im not bothered by it, I haven’t liked her for a very long time due to how she treated a close friend of mine, them together doesn’t change my fan-ness of him. To keep things simple I am calling the current car I have Car A and the new car as Car B. I have insurance that runs out on CAR A in 2 months time which I want to keep on the basis that I don't want to lose my no claims bonus for this current year by cancelling the insurance. I was planning to switch cars in 2 months anyway but have found CAR B at a very competitive price with all the extras I need. (Car B comes taxed and MOTd). I currently cant change my policy from car A to car B as the provider says the update will increase my premium to over 2000 just for the remaining 2 months!
