So Monday’s serialized post has been a little tough to nail down. I’m very self critical and nothing is good enough.

I’m lazy and going with alliteration, and really want to do Meme Monday, but y'all are going to expect pithy captions over images. That’s not what a meme is. That is an image macro.

The term was coined by Richard Dawkins in the selfish gene as a way to explain something he had noticed regarding anthropology. Ideas seemed to replicate themselves in the same fashion as genes, except being ideas they were immaterial. Instead of replicating in physical forms they replicated in the soup of human minds, and amongst cultures.

I have a theory this is why Dawkins is the giant Asshole he is today towards the religious. He’s transferring his anger about his opus, The Meme, being dumbed down and turned into a misnomer.
