V3 Boys with a crush that uses cheesy pick-up lines
My first imagine! I’m probably going to get too invested in this.
Have a great day!
-Mod Maki
V3 Boys with a crush that uses cheesy pick-up lines
Shuichi
No matter how hard Shuichi tried, he couldn’t hide his crush on you
Just you being next to him was enough to make him as red as Himiko’s hair
So when you did, eventually, find out, you made sure to fluster him at every possibility
“Oh, h-hi, S/O. I didn’t see you there.”
“For some reason, I was feeling a little off today. But when you came along, you definitely turned me on.”
“W-what?! S-S/O, w-what are you-”
“Is there an airport nearby or is it my heart taking off?”
“H-huh?”
Shuichi.exe has stopped working
Satisfied with your work, you leave Shuichi with a kiss on the cheek and a light blush on yours
S/O uses FLIRT
It was SUPER EFFECTIVE
Rantaro
Rantaro would always unintentionally flirt with you. It would annoy you as he didn’t know he was doing it and was completely oblivious as to how flustered you were
So it was inevitable that you would get him back one day
That day being today
Rantaro was hanging out in the library, reading a book about avocados.
He was getting to the big plot twist where the avocado gets turned in to guacamole-
Sorry, I just spoiled the book for you
You just so happened to spot the matcha haired boy reading said book peacefully, it would be a shame if someone were to-
“HEY, RANTARO!”
Rantaro was a bit surprised to see you standing in the doorway of the library, interrupting his reading time
He was happy to see you nonetheless
“Hey, S/O.”
You decided that this would be the perfect time to use the pick-up lines that you spent your free time googling
“What’s up, S/O?”
“Aside from being sexy, what do you do for a living?”
Rantaro is confusion
“There must be something wrong with my eyes, I can’t take them off you.”
You feel a sense of satisfaction once you see his cheeks turn red
The feeling doesn’t last long, however, as he starts firing pick-up lines back
“I don’t have a library card, but do you mind if I check you out?”
Did... Did hE JUST...?
Kokichi
Every day at 4:20pm sharp Kokichi would try to get a date with you by using the cheesiest pick-up lines and hoping that they would win your heart
EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
Of course he would always play it off as a joke after he gained a reaction from you
He never asked you out directly, just endless pick-up lines
You weren’t oblivious, you knew that he liked you but you were waiting to get him back
You had spent the entire night googling pick-up lines that was sure to make him flustered
If they don’t work then he’ll never let you hear the end of it
That afternoon, Kokichi makes his way over to you, as usual, and you were trying your best to act normal
He probably saw that you were up to something and was cautious when speaking
“Hey, S/O, watcha up to?”
“ Y-you must have the power to change gravity because you knocked me o-off my feet.”
Kokichi stares at you for a few moments with an unreadable expression
You worry you’ve made him uncomfortable until he breaks out in laughter
You look down, ashamed and embarrassed
When Kokichi sees your expression, he calms down from his fit off laughter but is still smiling brightly with blush on his cheeks
“S/O, I didn’t know that you thought so highly of me!”
The blush covering your cheeks intensify as Kokichi’s smile widens
“Y’know, if you liked me so much you could have just said something!”
He kisses you on the cheek before walking off in a fit of giggles and his face flushed red
S/O.exe has stopped working
Kiibo
The poor robot decided to ask you what pick-up lines were
“Hey, S/O, what is a ‘pick-up line’?”
You have been waiting for this moment your entire life
You ask if he would prefer it if you showed him
Now he’s scared
You have to assure him that it isn’t anything bad and then the chaos begins
He doesn’t understand at all
“Are you a keyboard? Because you’re-”
“Is that a robophobic comment?! S/O, you know I’m not a keyboard!”
Kiibo nO
You try again
“Your hand looks heavy can i hold it for you?”
Kiibo pUT YOUR HAND BACK ON
You decide to stop before Kiibo is fully dismembered but Kiibo is disappointed that he still couldn’t understand pick-up lines even after this *ahem* ‘enlightening conversation’
You tell him that you’ll try again tomorrow
Kaito
He thinks that he is amazing at using pick-up lines but he always gets them wrong
“Was your father a thief? ‘Cause someone stole the sky from the stars and... WAIT-”
This goes on for a while because he has forgotten all the pick-up lines he had googled the night before
One day you see him coming up to you with the smug face he does when he has a new pick-up line to show you
So you say one first
“Hey, S/O, do you-”
“If I had a star for every time you brightened my day, I’d have a galaxy in my hand.”
Kaito is shook
“Wow, S/O, if you do that more often you’ll be nearly as good as me!”
You think that you have distracted him from his own line, until...
“Oh, yeah! As I was saying, S/O, do you-”
Well, that didn’t work
But you do get to catch him off guard every once in a while with a pick-up line or two
You just wont ever get him to stop
Ever
Korekiyo
Korekiyo was being his usual weird self and having a looong conversation with you about random anthropology stories
Normally they are quite interesting and keep you entertained when you have nothing better to do but this one was quite long and boring and seemed to go on forever
You didn’t want to stop him though, as he seemed to be enjoying himself
Then, you had an idea
“Can I follow you home? Cause my parents always told me to follow my dreams.”
Korekiyo stopped and stared at the ground while you were still awaiting a repsonse
You start to worry for a moment when you hear Kiyo mumble something under his breath
“Humanity is so beautiful...”
You think it was a compliment...?
But you’re not really sure
Gonta
Miu had dared you to use a pick-up line on Gonta
Considering this is Miu, this is very mild for her and you are lucky she didn’t go further
Deciding to go before she changed her mind, you ran off to find him
He was with Kokichi having no idea he was helping the short gremlin boy pull off a prank
Of course he was...
You can’t do it with Kokichi there, he will make fun of the poor boy
...and you
So you tried to wait until Kokichi left
Key word: tried
At some point, Kokichi had caught you waiting and had called you over
Kokichi why?
That was when Gonta had saw you
“Oh, hi, S/O!”
Miu was getting tired of waiting and you were getting annoyed with the smug look on Kokichi’s face
So you made your way over to Gonta with little confidence showing
“ A-are you Netflix? Because I-I could watch y-you for hours.”
“No, Gonta is Gonta.”
Miu was laughing her ass off and Kokichi was stifling his laughter
With any confidence you had shattered, you walked back dejectedly
Kokichi whispered something to Gonta
“S/O!”
You turned to see Kokichi nearly exploding from holding in laughter and Gonta with a serious look on his face
“Did it hurt when S/O fell from the vending machine? Because S/O looks like a snack.”
Kokichi, whAT DID YOU DO?
Ryoma
Ryoma never really showed much emotion towards anything so today you have a bunch of pick-up lines prepared to try and get him to smile
You found Ryoma by himself in the gym and decided that it was the perfect time to try out those pick-up lines
“Ryoma!”
“Hey, S/O.”
You frowned at his tired tone and sighed
Suddenly, you perked up and remembered one of the pick-up lines you found particularly cute
“Hey, you’re pretty and I’m cute. Together we’d be Pretty Cute.”
Ryoma’s eyes widened for a moment before he grinned slightly
You noticed this and tried another one
“I was wondering if you had an extra heart. Mine was just stolen.”
At this point, he was fully smiling, a rare sight to see on Ryoma
You felt proud that you were able to grace him with that smile and smiled back
“Thanks, S/O, I needed that.”

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shuichi Saihara rolled over in his bed and struggled to open his tired eyes. The sounds of a morning talk show came from the TV that rested atop his dresser. As he was never one to lounge around in bed all morning, he got right up and made his way to a slightly cramped bathroom to brush his teeth and get ready for the day. He was mindful of the stacks of paper strewn across his floor; files he had meant to organize the previous night but had fallen asleep before he could. Once he had changed and brushed his teeth, he entered the living room with a yawn. He glanced at his phone. Shit. It’s late. How is it already almost noon? he asked himself as he saw empty cans of soda and papers scattered about the coffee table and floor. Kaito must have been working out here last night . Shuichi was knocked out of his train of thought when he heard keys jingle as the door opened.
“Hey, man, you’re finally awake! It’s about time. You never sleep this late. I was getting a little worried, if I'm being honest,” Kaito laughed as he entered the apartment. Kaito was his roommate in college. He helped Shuichi become more active and stronger, and Shuichi would help him on his assignments when he had the chance. Shuichi was always there for Kaito, and Kaito was always there for Shuichi. When they both graduated, they had both decided to stay in the city since they could both find a job easily as well as an apartment for cheap. Shuichi was currently working as a private investigator with his uncle and Kaito worked at the Dodonpachi Observatory. They were already used to each other’s schedules and had decided to rent an apartment together as it made sense for them economically.
“Sorry about that. I had to finish up some reports last night, and I guess I lost track of time. Honestly, I don’t remember falling asleep,” Shuichi said as he yawned again, walking over to the kitchen island and took a seat. He rubbed his eyes and glanced over at his roommate. Kaito appeared to be covered in sweat. He must have just gotten back from one of his morning runs. Kaito pulled the carton of eggs out of the fridge and grabbed a cup from their cupboard. As Shuichi watched Kaito, he heard his own stomach growl. Guess I should probably eat something, he thought to himself as he got up off his stool and made his way to the fridge. He saw a bunch of apples on the counter and shook his head. Pancakes could be good, he mused as he opened up the pantry. His eyes scanned the area looking for ingredients. He placed the pancake mix on the counter and went to grab the carton from Kaito. He watched as Kaito cracked the last egg into a cup. Shuichi watched in horror as Kaito downed the egg in one gulp. He cringed at the sight. Shuichi opened the fridge, trying to see if there was anything he could use a substitute for eggs. He went to his phone and googled what he could do. He sighed after doing a quick search, realizing that he would have to go to the store no matter what.
“You good, man?” Kaito asked.
“Oh, yeah. I just don’t know what to eat,” Shuichi said as he shut the fridge. “I was planning on making pancakes, but it looks like we’re out of eggs now,” he awkwardly chuckled as he gestured to the empty carton of eggs.
“Ah, shit. I’m sorry, man,” Kaito said as he looked at the empty carton. He placed a hand on his chin and hummed, thinking deeply. He snapped his fingers. “I know! Let’s go to 𝖌𝖔𝖙𝖍 𝖎𝖍𝖔𝖕. It’ll be my treat.”
Shuichi corked an eyebrow. “Are you sure? It’s nearly noon. Don’t they only serve breakfast?” Kaito began laughing.
“Bro, they’re open all day! You know brunch and breakfast for dinner exist, right?”
“Oh, yeah. I guess people do that,” Shuichi shrugged. “Still, I don’t know. I don’t want you to have to come out with me just because I wanted some pancakes,” Shuichi trailed off. He worried he was being a burden. He didn’t want Kaito to feel obliged to go with him. It was his own fault he ended up sleeping in so late. Shuichi wondered if he should even go, given that he still had a lot of work to do.
“Dude, you’ve been working your ass off, and you know I don’t mind! Plus my Maki Roll is working today!” Kaito hummed. Maki was Kaito’s girlfriend of almost four years. They had gotten off to an awful start in college, they were both in the same *class* and had been paired together for a project. Maki gave Kaito the impression that she absolutely hated him. Kaito was infatuated from the start. Shuichi was surprised Maki didn’t file a restraining order the first year they had met. Kaito constantly insisted that they should be workout buddies since they both had a strong interest in fitness. At first, she only accepted because she hoped this would lead to him getting off of her back. Soon, much to her dismay, she began looking forward and actually enjoying their daily workout sessions. It was not long after until they started dating.
“Oh, I see, you just want an excuse to go see your girlfriend,” Shuichi teased. “Alright, fine,” Shuichi said as he reached for his phone on the counter and called for an Uber.
“Yes!” Kaito cheered as he made his way to the bathroom to freshen up.
Kaito held the door for Shuichi as they both walked into 𝖌𝖔𝖙𝖍 𝖎𝖍𝖔𝖕. They made their way to the host stand. Maki stood there wearing a short black lace dress ripped and patched together with safety pins. She was zoning out as she traced the design on the menus sitting atop of the stand with her index finger. She began her greeting as she heard the door close.
“Hello and welcome to 𝖌𝖔𝖙𝖍 𝖎𝖍𝖔𝖕. No, you may not do a wrist check. How many will you be today?” Maki looked up to see the customers. Her eyes widened. “K-kaito?! What are you doing here?” she whisper-yelled.
“I’m here to see my little Maki Roll!” Kaito cooed as he made grabby hands toward her.
“I love you, but please do not, and I mean, do not call me that here.” Maki hissed as she glared at Kaito.
Shuichi definitely felt intimidated as he took in the scenery. He was used to Maki since she was basically being herself, but the heavy rock music blasting and the skulls decorating the place was more than he was used to.
“Okay, fine,” Kaito grumbled. “Anyway, can Shuichi and I get a table?” Maki nodded as she grabbed two menus and two sets of silverware. She motioned for them to follow her. She kept her head down as she led them through the restaurant. Shuichi deduced that she was embarrassed that her co-workers could see the affection her extravertive boyfriend was trying to show, especially since the restaurant was empty, and there was nothing for most of them to do but gossip. She placed the menus and silverware on the table at their booth. “Enjoy your meal,” she huffed before she leaned down to Kaito and placed a quick peck on his cheek. “I’ll text you after my shift.”
“Aw, thank you, Maki Roll!” Kaito grinned widely as he said her nickname aloud. She clenched her fists as one of her coworkers snickered from behind her.
“Maki Roll? That’s a new one!” the voice laughed as it cleared the table next to their booth. Shuichi looked behind Maki to see the owner of the voice. His plum-colored hair curled messily at the ends, framing his face elegantly. Light violet eyes were accentuated by a rim of dark smudged eyeliner. He seemed to fit into this place well. Shuichi could see his ears poking through his hairstyle; they appeared to be covered in piercings. Underneath his apron, he wore a dark purple cropped tank top which showed off his toned sides. He had a black and white checkered bandana tied around his thin-yet-toned bicep paired with skin-tight leather pants that did not leave much room for the imagination. Shuichi mentally scolded himself for staring at that area a little too long. He made eye contact with the voice who shot him a smile. Shuichi’s cheeks began to heat up. He felt as if he could get lost in those piercing eyes. The two stared at each other longer than socially acceptable before Maki walked away with a huff, embarrassed by her coworker. He was snapped out of the gaze. “I’ll be with you two in a minute!” the voice called as he carried the dishes into the back.
As Kokichi entered the kitchen he saw that Maki was leaning against the counter. Her lips were pressed into a firm thin line. She looked unamused and her arms were crossed. Kokichi let out the laugh he had been trying to hold in. “Maki Roll! Oh my god! Who even was that dude?”
Maki clenched her hands into fists. “Do you want to die?”
“Oh, I’m so scared.” Kokichi sneered. “You know, if I didn’t know any better I’d say he’s your boyfriend, but how could anyone ever love a edgy bitchl like you?!” Maki was silent, Kokichi took her silence as an answer. “HE IS!” Kokichi exclaimed.
“Shut up and go serve them,” Maki grumbled as she walked out of the kitchen, and made her way back to the front of the restaurant.
“Wait!” Kokichi called out, stopping Maki in her tracks. “Who’s that guy with him?”
“That’s Shuichi, his roommate. Now get back to work.”
Kokichi took a deep breath as he walked up to the table. “Hello, boys! I’m Kokichi and I’ll be your server of despair today. Can I get you two started with anything to drink?”
“Oh, um,” Shuichi stuttered, caught off guard by the greeting of the man. “Just a glass of water, please.”
“Ah, so you’re one of those cheapasses,” Kokichi said without hesitation. Shuichi sucked in his breath. Kaito held a hand over his mouth, trying to suppress his urge to laugh out, not wanting to embarrass his friend even more. He was used to the service here. “I’m kidding!” Kokichi laughed as he placed a hand on Shuichi’s shoulder, causing the man to jump. “And for you?” Kokichi said, turning his body to face Kaito.
“I’ll just have an iced tea,” Kaito replied. Kokichi hummed as he wrote the drinks down on his notepad.
“Be right back!” Kokichi chirped.
Shuichi let out a deep breath as he watched Kokichi walk away. “Relax man!” Kaito said as he watched Shuichi begin to tap his fingers nervously against the table.
“Are they all supposed to be like this?” Shuichi said in a hushed voice as to not offend the workers.
“Well, yeah. It is 𝖌𝖔𝖙𝖍 𝖎𝖍𝖔𝖕 after all,” Kaito replied. Shuichi leaned back into his seat as he saw Kokichi returning. Kaito stared at Shuichi as he watched his friend try to keep his head down, fiddling with his fingers.
“Here you two go!” Kokichi said as he placed the drinks on the table. He pulled his notepad out once again. “Ready to order?”
“Yeah,” Shuichi said cautiously. “I’ll just have the short stack of buttermilk pancakes.”
“Alrighty! And would you like a syrup pentagram on top of your pancakes?”
“Um, sure,” Shuichi said. He was unsure if he made the correct choice.
“Awesome!” Kokichi said enthusiastically as he wrote the order on his notepad.
“I’ll have the breakfast sandwich,” Kaito responded.
“Would you like your eggs in the shape of a skull?” Kaito nodded and Kokichi finished writing their order. He took their menus and made his way to the kitchen to place their order.
“Here you two go!” Kokichi said as he placed their respective dishes in front of the two men.
“Thank you,” Shuichi stammered as Kokichi placed the plate in front of him.
“Careful now, it’s hot,” he paused, “just like you.” Kokichi winked at Shuichi and placed Kaito’s meal in front of him.
“You two enjoy your food,” Kokichi said as he sauntered back into the kitchen. Kokichi took a deep breath, trying to calm his heart. He couldn’t believe he just flirted with a customer. This was 𝖌𝖔𝖙𝖍 𝖎𝖍𝖔𝖕! He was supposed to be mean and edgy. He couldn’t stop thinking about the cold, calculating grey eyes of that guy. H Kokichi found it cute how timid he was. He couldn’t help but try to stare at the boy through the window in the kitchen that looked out to the dining area.
“That’s really fucking creepy, you stalker,” Maki said as she walked into the kitchen, placing silverware into the dishwashing bin.
“I- uh, um.” Kokichi stammered, trying to pretend Maki didn’t just give him a heart attack. Maki said nothing as she walked off.
Shuichi hummed happily as he took another bite of his pancakes. “These are delicious!”
“I know, right?” Kaito agreed. “I think our waiter has the hots for you,” he said as Shuichi was taking a sip of water. This claim caused Shuichi to begin coughing and choking on his drink.
“What?” He croaked out.
“He keeps staring at you! He’s definitely into you! You should slip him your number!” Kaito said as Shuichi shook his head violently. “Come on man! Don’t be a pussy! Do it,” Kaito’s voice was gradually getting louder and louder. Shuichi feared that the other employees would hear him. Especially him .
“Okay, okay! Just be quiet,” Shuichi pleaded with a hushed voice. Kaito laughed and they continued to eat.
Kokichi made his way out of the kitchen area, noticing both of their plates were empty. “All done here?” he asked as he approached the table. The two nodded as they pushed their plates inward towards him. “I’ll just take these, and I’ll go get your check,” Kokichi said as he grabbed the plates and made his way to the kitchen. He placed their plated in the dishwashing bin and made his way to the register to print their check. He toyed with the idea of slipping the guy his number, but now it was his turn to feel hesitation. Once the check was printed he walked back over and placed it on the table along with a pen. “Take your time, you two!”
Kaito pulled out his debit card and slipped it into the check holder and filled out the receipt with the pen. Once it was filled out he handed the pen to Shuichi. “Now’s your chance, man,” he said as he slid a clean napkin towards him. Shuchi nodded as he took the pen. He began to write his number out on the receipt. His handwriting was shaky. He took extra caution to make sure the numbers were legible. After he wrote his number, he figured it wouldn’t hurt to add his name. He saw Kokichi coming back to their table. This caused him to panic and crumble the napkin in his hand as he placed his fisted hand in his lap, mentally cursing himself out.
“I’ll just take this!” Kokichi said as he took the check from Kaito and made his way back to the register. Shuichi released the breath he was holding and placed the napkin back on the table face down to avoid Kokichi seeing it, worried that he might see him as a creep.
“Shit,” Shuichi murmured, hoping at least his number was still eligible. He pulled out his wallet and grabbed a twenty-dollar bill.
“You never tip this much!” Kaito laughed
“Oh, well, I guess you can say he was special,” Shuichi blushed. Kokichi made his way back over to the table.
“Here you go! Don’t worry, I only charged you about five hundred extra!” Kokichi laughed. “Kidding,” he said emotionless. Kaito and Shuichi chuckled nervously. “Have a horrible day you two!” Kokichi said as he began to walk off.
Shit, what if he doesn’t see the tip? Shuichi said to himself in a panic.
“W-wait,” Shuichi stammered as he stood up. Kokichi turned around. He was shorter than he expected; Shuichi towered over him.
“Yes?” Kokichi purred.
“Um, here you go,” Shuichi said as he handed Kokichi the twenty-dollar bill along with the napkin.
“Aw, thank you!” Kokichi smiled. He read the napkin. “Shuichi Saihara.” Kokichi read in a sultry voice. “I like how that sounds!” He cooed. “Come back anytime, pretty boy,” he grinned. Shuichi felt his cheeks begin to heat up.
Throughout the rest of the day, Shuichi tried to push the idea of seeing Kokichi ever again out of his head. He figured Kokichi must have gotten hit on by almost everyone who went to that restaurant. Shuichi doubted Kokichi even read the number, convinced he had thrown it out the moment they left, figuring he was too bland to ever catch the eye of someone like him. He tried to busy himself with the piles of paper that needed organizing.
Maki came over once her shift finished. Her and Kaito hogged the living room. Shuichi decided to board himself up in his room. He laid atop of his bed, listening to the news on his TV mindlessly as he scrolled through his phone, trying to reward himself for finally organizing all of those papers and even cleaning his room up a bit. A notification flashed across his screen
Hey Shuichi! It’s Kokichi from 𝖌𝖔𝖙𝖍 𝖎𝖍𝖔𝖕! ;) Shuichi’s mouth dropped open. He couldn’t believe it. He was already convinced that this was a prank set up by Kokichi and/or Maki. As much as he didn’t want to get his hopes up, he didn’t want to leave whoever it was on read.
Hi! Not to be that person, but this isn’t a prank, right? Shuichi immediately regretted every decision in his life he had made up to this very moment. He didn’t want Kokichi to think he had trust issues or was an extremely paranoid person. He placed his hands over his face as he saw the three typing dots pop up. He groaned, his heart beating a million miles per minute.
Nope! It’s really me! Kokichi from 𝖌𝖔𝖙𝖍 𝖎𝖍𝖔𝖕! Kokichi responded. Moments later, a photo of him was sent. He was still wearing his outfit from earlier that day, without the apron. Shuichi could see his toned stomach. He wore a grin on his face. Shuichi felt his heartbeat in his throat and he studied the features of Kokichi. Five minutes had passed and Kokichi sent another message. Are you still alive, Shuichi? Shuichi scrambled to type out a response.
Yep! Sorry, I was just looking at your photo. Shuichi cringed as he read the message over once it was sent. He is making himself out to be a creep. He wished there was a reset button he could press.
That enamored by my beauty? Understandable. You’re not too bad yourself, though. Shuichi’s brain was short-circuiting. He dropped his phone and somehow, now his phone was calling Kokichi for a facetime.
“Wait, shit!” Shuichi cried out in a panic as he tried to cancel it. Suddenly, Kokichi accepted the call. Shuichi mumbled under his breath, “fuck me,” not aware Kokichi’s video had already connected.
“Is that how you greet every person you call? But don’t worry, I will eventually,” Kokichi laughed as he watched Shuichi’s face turn red. “Honestly, don’t feel embarrassed, I was actually about to ask if I could call you.”
“Oh, really?” Shuichi said quietly. He wished the earth would reclaim his worthless form.
“Mhm! You’re a cutie, and I wanted to see you again! So I hope you weren’t hoping you could just give me your number and never hear from me again!” Kokichi cheered.
“Really? You think I’m cute?” Shuichi whispered. He tried to hide the shock he was feeling. “I’d also like to see you again if you really meant that!” Shuichi stammered again.
“Yep! How about you and I hang out next Friday? We can do whatever you like!” Kokichi winked, Shuichi felt his throat go dry at what Kokichi could be implying.
“That sounds nice. I’d really like that. A lot, actually.” Shuichi responded.
“Awesome!” Kokichi sang. “You can come to my place! I’ll send you my address later.” Shuichi let out a yawn. He knew he should go to bed soon, but he didn’t want to end this conversation with him. Kokichi may never talk to him again. “You seem sleepy,” Kokichi cooed. “You should get some rest.”
“Yeah, I know,” Shuichi groaned. Kokichi noticed Shuichi’s hesitance to say goodbye.
“I’ll text you tomorrow morning, okay?” Kokichi smiled as Shuichi’s eyes seemed to light up. “You’re going to go to bed now, right?” Kokichi asked. Shuichi nodded his head. “Good boy. I’ll talk to you tomorrow,” Kokichi hung up the phone. Shuichi’s head was spinning. What just happened? he asked himself. His phone was lying atop his chest as he tried to make sense of everything that happened. His phone vibrated again.
You better be going to sleep now. Goodnight, Shuichi!
T hroughout the whole week, Shuichi had trouble focusing at work. He was able to do his job but he found himself becoming distracted, constantly checking his phone, worried he was missing any message Kokichi had sent him. Kokichi had said good morning to him every day and would text him throughout the day, usually complaining about customers and/or his coworkers. Friday couldn’t have come any quicker in Shuichi’s opinion. The moment he clocked out for the day he began to feel nerves coursing through his body. He had gone home and placed his bag on his bed, not bothering to unpack it. After a long day cooped up in a hot and sweaty office he had the strong urge to freshen up
“Good luck man!” Kaito said as he saw Shuichi making his way to the door. Maki was cuddling into his side, but once she saw Shuichi she quickly sat up and out of the position she was in.
“Thanks, I’ll text you later. See you guys!” Shuichi said as he began to open the door.
“Wait! Here, catch these!” Kaito called out. Shuichi turned around to a box flying at his face. He caught the box and read the front. Oh, this is a box of condoms… Shuichi felt his face burning up with embarrassment, but he simply rolled his eyes and threw them back to Kaito.
“I think you will be needing these more than I will. Have fun,” Shuichi said as he quickly left the apartment, making his way down the building stairs to meet his Uber outside.
Shuichi was constantly checking his phone, hoping he was going in the right direction. What do I even say to this guy? Oh my gosh. What if he kills me or something? Shuichi looked out of the car window, wondering if he could roll out of this car. No, this will be fine and I will be okay , he repeated to himself. He continued to repeat this to himself as he got out of the car and made his way into the apartment building. Please be the right place, please don’t be some random person that isn’t Kokichi , Shuichi prayed silently as he walked up to Kokichi’s supposed apartment. He knocked gently three times. Suddenly, the door swung open and Shuichi felt a weight pull him down.
“Shuichi! You came! I’m so glad!” Kokichi smiled as he pulled Shuichi into a hug.
“Uh, yeah!” Shuichi laughed nervously, patting Kokichi on the back.
“Well, make yourself at home!” Kokichi said as he led Shuichi into his apartment. You could always get a sense of a person based on their house and how neat it was, the colors, arrangement of furniture, etc. Shuichi was an expert at this, especially since he was an investigator. He was actually surprised when he entered the apartment, it was surprisingly bright. Based on Kokichi’s appearance, he expected it to be dark and almost have a satanic vibe. Instead, the apartment was very neat and quite modern. Kokichi made his way over to his black leather couch in his living room.
“Thanks,” Shuichi said nervously as he followed Kokichi to his couch.
“So, I was thinking we could just chill and watch a movie?” Kokichi asked. Shuichi nodded, “Cool! I’ll let you pick the movie!” Shuichi felt panic begin to rise in his body again. What if he thinks my choice is stupid or boring? Oh my gosh, he’s gonna think I'm lame and then never want to see me again . Shuichi’s train of negative thoughts was abruptly interrupted by the feeling of a hand being placed on his shoulder. “You okay?” Kokichi asked gently. Shuichi nodded.
“Yeah, sorry. I was just overthinking things a bit,” Shuichi chuckled. “Why don’t you pick the movie, actually?”
“Are you sure? I’m definitely going to pick a horror movie, so I hope you don’t get scared easily,” Kokichi laughed maniacally.
The two were in the middle of Evil in the Depths III. Shuichi was used to dealing with many graphic and gruesome crime scenes on a day to day basis, so he was pretty good with gory horror movies, but he could not deal with paranormal horror movies. The fact that there was so little that could be proven or disproven genuinely frightened him to think about. Throughout the movie, the two of them found themselves inching closer to one another. Shuichi felt his one hand become much warmer than it already was. He turned his head to his right, where Kokichi was sitting and noticed that Kokichi had grabbed his hand. Shuichi smiled. He did not want to seem like a maniac, but on the inside he was screaming in excitement.
“Scared yet?” Kokichi whispered in a teasing voice. Shuichi shook his head.
“This actually isn’t that bad. Usually, I hate movies with ghosts,” Shuichi explained. Kokichi cut him off by laughing again.
“Just you wait and see.”
Kokichi and Shuichi continued to get closer and closer. At one part of the movie, a scene of a girl crawling down the stairs, screaming demonically, caused Shuichi to turn and hide in Kokichi’s shoulder. Kokichi had taken his opportunity to wrap an arm around him. “You okay?” Kokichi asked quietly, watching Shuichi nod in response. They stayed this way for the rest of the movie. Shuichi finding comfort in Kokichi’s arms.
Shuichi felt as if he could finally breathe once the credits rolled. He could feel the tension in his shoulders leave his body as Kokichi rubbed his back soothingly. “Has anyone ever told you you’re adorable?” Kokichi wondered aloud.
“Um, no. Well not since I was like three,” Shuichi chuckled.
“Well, I’m calling you adorable now,” Kokichi snapped back jokingly, sticking his tongue out.
Shuichi pulled his phone out of his pocket and checked the time. It was nearing midnight. As much as he enjoyed hanging out with Kokichi, he wanted to be able to catch a somewhat decent Uber driver. He began to sit up from the position he was in. “Thank you so much, Kokichi. I had a lot of fun tonight. I hope we can do it again,” Shuichi smiled.
Kokichi had a small pout on his face. “Heading out already? That’s okay. We should do this again. Sooner than later,” Kokichi winked as he stood up. Shuichi felt excitement rush through his body once again at the idea that he would get to see Kokichi again soon.
“I would really like that,” Shuichi said as he followed Kokichi to the front door. “Thank you again. I had a great time.”
“Me too, but I’m not ready to say bye until I do one last thing,” Kokichi smirked. Shuichi corked his eyebrow and looked at him in confusion. Kokichi reached up to Shuichi’s shoulders and pulled him down, allowing them to make eye contact. Kokichi suddenly placed his lips on top of Shuichi’s. Kokichi’s lips were surprisingly smooth, unlike Shuichi’s which were chapped and rough due to his constant toying with his teeth. Shuichi, although taken by surprise, kissed back with just as much passion as Kokichi.
They could have stayed this way forever if it wasn’t for that cursed human need to breathe. They both parted, both slightly panting in an attempt to catch their breath. “Wow,” Shuichi whispered. Kokichi nodded in agreement. “Um, does this make you my boyfriend?” Shuichi whispered, unsure how everything was supposed to play out now.
“Only if you want me to be,” Kokichi said as he wrapped his arms around Shuichi’s neck, pulling him down again for one more kiss. Kokichi teasingly nibbling on Shuichi’s lip before parting again. Kokichi’s brow furrowed. He realized he didn’t want to say goodbye yet. “Fuck it, stay the night. Please?” Kokichi asked, but it ended up sounding more like a plea. Shuichi didn’t even have to weigh the pro’s and con’s before he was nodding his head. Kokichi grabbed his arms and pulled him back into the apartment, kissing him again.

Of Course! This is such a good prompt, I’m glad you requested it! I hope you enjoy~ Full story under the tag
Imagine: V3 Boys Finding their S/O dead
Shuichi Saihara
Shuichi had been solving murders since they got trapped here
But he has been solving them with you
So when he went to the kitchen and found you on the floor, having bled out from a stab wound, he didn’t think he could do it
How was he supposed to go on without his best friend, his S/O, the only person he truly knew understood how he felt?
But he had to solve it for you
He wasted no time starting the investigation, choking back tears every time he had to examine your body
Letting a few slip as his fingers grazed over the wound on your chest, knowing he would never feel this heartbeat as he laid on you after a stressful day again
No one bothered him, knowing his silence would be broken if they asked how he was
The class trial came by swiftly, and everyone felt the air grow thick as they waited for Shuichi to start speaking
When he didn’t, Maki started for him
He stayed quite with everyone’s words, solving the mystery within his own mind.
When he finally pieced it all together, the words spilled out of his mouth, same with the tears in his eyes
He explained the whole scenario intensely, not letting anyone refute his words, voice raising when the culprit tried
Finally, voting time came around, and for the first time, he didn’t feel sad to push the button, sending the culprit to their doom.
He watched as Kaito was led to his doom, stone faced the whole time.
He immediately went to his room afterwards, crying as soon as the door closed
Everything still smelled of you
Kaito Momota
He didn’t expect to find you in your room, considering you liked to be around others more
Maybe that was what got you killed
He found you in the gym after a few minutes of searching, face down and your neck laced with rope
He immediately ran over, flipping you over and screaming
“Y/N! WAKE UP! PLEASE, WAKE UP!”
His screaming alerted others nearby, and soon the body discovery alarm was going off.
He started punching the floor, pleading for you to wake up as Gonta and Tenko dragged him away
He was crying the whole investigation, but trying his best to help
He couldn’t stand to help with the body, seeing you made the waterworks resume tenfold
When the trial started, he immediately began to yell for the culprit to give themselves up
When they didn’t, his yelling only became louder
He really tried his best to help, he really did
But his mind was so clouded up with thoughts of you and all the things he wanted to do with you
Shuichi carried the trial, exposing the culprit like he always does
When it became clear who it was, everyone expected Kaito to go into hysterics
It scared them even more when his voice rang out, low and soft
“Kirumi...why?”
As Kirumi began to explain, Kaito got angrier with every word
“Cut the crap! You could’ve picked anyone, and you picked her! Why did you pick her?! You should’ve picked me!”
Kaito charged towards her, but Maki held him back
“Y/n wouldn’t have wanted this, Kaito.”
Everyone could see Kaito physically restrain himself from pulling away from Maki and giving Kirumi what she deserved.
“Fine, let’s just get on with the voting.”
“Kaito, I apolo-”
“I said we’re voting!”
The execution went by quick, Kaito walking away before anyone could stop him
He skipped training that night, sitting in the courtyard, watching the stars through their metal prison
Oh, how he would’ve traded every star in the galaxy to have you sitting with him tonight.
Ryoma Hoshi
Ryoma knew your plans for that day consisted of working in your ultimate lab, he knew how excited you were when it was unlocked.
He was happy for you, you were the one who brought him to embrace living, after all
After spending the day playing tennis with himself in his lab, he opened his locker to put his racket away, when something came tumbling out
You laid there, wrapped in a tennis net with a slit throat
Ryoma felt sick to his stomach the moment he saw your dull eyes, wondering what your last moments of life saw.
He sat there for a moment, looking at you
He wanted to untie you, but knew that tampering with evidence would make him the prime suspect
He began to chuckle
Of course his luck led him to this! The world wanted him to have nothing
It still didn’t need to take you though.
After waiting for what felt like hours, he left his room to go alert the others
No one believed him at first, Miu telling him to “Cut that depressing crap!”
Gonta, being the sweetheart he is, still wanted to check on you
When everyone found you, they couldn’t believe it
Who wanted to hurt Y/n? Did someone have it out for Ryoma?
Once everyone started investigating, they kept some distance from him
He knew it was either due to pity or fear that he committed this crime
But he didn’t need their pity nor their fear
As Shuichi covered alibis and the murder weapon, it became clear that he wasn’t the culprit.
After all, you were there for at least half a day, and Ryoma was helping Kirumi with preparing lunch when it would have happened
Why wasn’t he suspicious when you didn’t show up for that? Was this his fault for not checking up on you?
When the trial started, Ryoma treated it just as the first trial that had happened.
First Rantaro, now his Y/n
The topic soon came to alibis around lunch time, and he started to notice holes in someones words
“Kiibo, you say you were in the gym, but Himiko was in her lab all day with her door open and never once saw you go in, nor did she see you leave.”
Kiibo let out a stutter of an answer, which was quickly refuted by Shuichi and his evidence
It quickly became clear, and voting time came silently.
Tsumugi was the one who asked him of his motives
“I-I’m sorry...I cannot say.”
Ryoma gave a hollow laugh.
“I guess that’s all we’ll get. Let’s get this over with.”
After they all saw Kiibo be executed, Ryoma spoke up first
“Let’s go, I plan on getting you all out of here.”
He left to his dorm, re-becoming the recluse he was before he met you
and he never stepped back in his lab again.
Rantaro Amami
Rantaro wanted to get all of you out of this sick game
He knew the door the mastermind had used, and planned to use it to his advantage.
But he wanted you out of the plan, he couldn’t stand to see you get hurt because of his actions
But his work was in vain
He wanted to find you before he carried out his plan, to either say his goodbyes or just make it seem like a regular day
As regular as you can get in a killing game
But when he found your door open slightly, he immediately tensed up.
He threw the door open to find you
You, laying on the floor, knife lodged in your chest with a note attached
He ripped it off, reading it
‘I warned her to stay out of this’
He crumpled the note, stuffing it in his pocket
He sat next to you, stroking your hair
“I’m so sorry Y/n, this is all my fault...”
‘But it’s not,’ he thought, ‘It’s the mastermind.’
Around dinner time Angie came for him, finding him with your lifeless body
She nearly passed out at the sight alone
After everyone came in and started investigating, he slunk to the corner
He watched the scene before him play out, Shuichi and Kaede discovering clues
He scanned everyone, wondering who could have possibly been on his trail enough to have to do this
‘The mastermind, that’s who’
The trial started, the first trial
And hopefully the last.
Throughout the trial he, Shuichi and Kaede refuted evidence thrown around, and made a clear path towards the answers he wanted
When someone accused him of possibly doing it, they almost died from fear from his glare alone.
Kaede calmed him down, telling him that she was sure something else would tell them the truth, and that whoever Y/n caught committing a crime would be found
That’s when he went pale, and asked Kaede how she knew that
She stuttered and gave a stunted answer
After berating her with facts and evidence, she caved
“She caught me setting up a trap, and threatened to tell everyone I was the mastermind! I wanted all of us to get out, but she wouldn’t listen!”
Shuichi and her had a one on one debate, Shuichi refusing to believe the undeniable evidence that had been laid before him
Rantaro cut in
“I hate to stop your conversation, but can we please vote now? I don’t want a murderer among us anymore.”
He felt a twinge of guilt when he saw Kaede flinch, but knew that what was coming was inevitable.
They all voted, and Kaede gave them an inspirational speech about getting out.
‘Why should she be giving this? She let one of the few good people here die.’
Rantaro left right after the execution, already planning out the next step of his plan to reveal the mastermind
But this time, he had nothing to lose.
Gonta Gokuhara
When the body discovery announcement went off, Gonta ran to the library with everyone else
Surprisingly, he seemed to be the last one there, and by the time he got there a circle was already formed around the body
He made himself known and went to look when Himiko grabbed his arm
“Hey...Gonta...why don’t you go and help Maki get alibis...outside of the room?”
He allowed himself to be dragged out of the library, helping Maki take down people’s alibis of where they were
Where’s Y/n?
He kept trying to see where Y/n was in the library, waiting for when he got to hear her alibi, when he saw the body
Y/n, laid on the floor, he could tell by her hair
He ran in before anyone could stop him, pushing Shuichi away from her
She laid, sprawled out on the floor, blindfold over her eyes and butterfly wings spray painted on the floor around her shoulders.
She looked almost angelic
He wanted to tell himself that she was sleeping, but he knew from the announcement and Monokuma’s laugh that he was wrong
He started sobbing, holding her body against his, hoping that she would somehow, someway, come back
“Please! Y/n! Come back!”
Shuichi had already finished with the body, so he let Gonta stay with her
It was the least they could do for him
As everyone shuffled out, Gonta laid Y/n back down, looking down at her wings
Angel wings would fit her so much better
He heard the body discovery go off again, and became confused
He already knew who died, why is it going off again?
He stayed with Y/n, saying his goodbyes to her before Himiko came in, crying, telling him that it was time to go to the trial
When he got there, he immediately noticed Y/n’s spot, a smiling picture of her crossed out by bug nets
He then noticed Tenko’s photo a few slots down
The trial began, but he didn’t do much to help
He felt bad, but he didn’t want to get in the way.
Every time someone was accused, he felt his heart sink
One of their friends killed two of the nicest people here?
Then it was revealed how it happened
A long promise to someone long gone
They voted, and Gonta looked at the culprit
“Korekiyo...why? Why kill Y/n?!”
After Korekiyo explained his motive, Gonta wept
And he continued to weep until the execution was over and Kaito had helped him to his dorm
He sat on the floor, looking at all of the photos of himself and Y/n, taken by the instant cameras in the warehouse
His favorite? The one where they bug hunted together, ending with them taking a nap in the sun
How he wished he could take more
Kokichi Oma
Kokichi refused to let anyone know any of his feelings, especially when they were involved romantically
So when Y/n came into his life, he kept their relationship very hush hush
He still clung onto her though, so everyone assumed she was his favorite to torment
So when the body discovery announcement rang, Kokichi gleefully strolled to the AV room, ready to make a big entrance with some witty one liner
But when he came in and saw Y/n’s body on the couch, the room a mess and a crossbow on the floor, he forced himself to smile
“So, the idiot finally got herself killed huh? Took long enough!”
He stayed in the corner liked he usually did, but this time he was hyper-fixated on his surroundings
A fight obviously happened here, so Y/n must have struggled. Who had a crossbow and could have had a motive to kill Y/n, here?
He already knew who it was, but he didn’t know how it happened
He had to know how it happened
When the trial started, he put on his facade and let everyone banter about the crime
He put in a few remarks here and there, but he never pointed them at Y/n
After he had enough, he made it known who it was
“Who else here has a crossbow besides Maki? I think this was a sloppy attempt at committing a crime.”
To everyone’s surprise, she didn’t deny it
What made him more angry, though, was when she told everyone what really happened
“Y/n, she tried to kill me. She wanted out and stole a crossbow from my room when her and Kaito visited a few nights ago. I didn’t want to kill her, but she left me no choice”
As Kaito and Maki talked, Kokichi resigned to his own mind
If he cried, they’d see it as fake tears, right?
He let his tears flow, when someone asked why he was crying he childishly blamed Kaito and Maki’s romantic final goodbye
Kokichi spaced out during Maki’s execution
As he left the trial grounds, he decided
If Y/n wasn’t getting out, then no one was.
Kiibo
Kiibo was sure he short circuited when he found you
Who wouldn’t panic, finding a lifeless body hanging in a classroom?
But this was Y/n
His Y/n
He didn’t know it was possible for a robot to feel human emotions, but when he met Y/n he realized that it was
He alerted everyone to the crime and helped as much as he could with the investigation, wanting to find out who did this
Gonta gently released the body from the ceiling, laying her down on the floor
Kiibo took everything in; the rope burn on her neck, the fallen chair, the hook on the ceiling that was placed specifically to kill his Y/n
When the trial started, he demanded the culprit to come clean immediately
When they didn’t, Shuichi started listing all the possibilities
They debated, clearing each suspect
Once the three prime suspects were cleared with strong alibis, Shuichi said the most likely answer
Kiibo lost it at his words
“Y/n would never commit suicide! She wanted us to get out of here! She wanted to get out of here!”
But the evidence was all there
Everything but the note
‘Why didn’t she leave a note?’
After the trial ended, executionless, Kiibo left to Y/n’s room
He needed to get away from Kokichi’s taunts
He let himself into her room with the key she had given him days prior
He sat on her bed, looking at everything she had
The poster on the wall, her closet, the shelf full of books on her ultimate talent
That’s when he noticed the note on the back of her door
He went over and gently took the tack out of the wall, reading the note. “Dear fellow classmates, I am sorry to have to be writing you this note. I was hopeful to get out of here with all of you, but when Tenko and Angie were taken from us, I couldn’t take it anymore. I am sorry that I am giving up at a time like this, and I hope no one was blamed for my decision to take my life. Kiibo, I am so sorry that you had to find my note like this. At least, I hope you found it first. I will miss you so much, and I hope that you get out of here, along with everyone else who still alive. I love you all, and I hope that you can work together and stop the mastermind!” ~Y/n
Kiibo held the letter tightly, crushing it slightly in his hand
‘Why?’ That was the only thing running through his head
‘Why did you do this, Y/n? we were gonna get out together!’
He wished he could cry
You may have taught him the feeling of love, but you also taught him despair.
________________________________________________________________
Ahh, I really hope this is how you wanted it! I’m sorry if it’s not, and thank you for requesting!

Traitor Shuichi
How would Kaede react to finding out that Shuichi’s the traitor like Sakura, but he still killed someone because he wanting escape to see his uncle? In this scenario he’s more of a bigger coward, more selfish and tried to frame Kaede, but failed and begged for someone to take his place because he doesn’t want to die. It’s not anti Shuichi, but what I’ve imagine if his cowardliness and passiveness was amped up that he’d work with Monokuma to save his own skin.
... Welllll kids... I’m gonna write this, but not only that! Considering this asks seems quite long, not only that but a topic I’m interested in, I’ll try writing it within a one-shot format this time around, especially since I doubt I could get all this in words with bullet-point, I hope you enjoy.
I gave Kaede a lot of spotlight in this, writing her as a protagonist with her own issues she gets through is always really fun.
-Mod Shuichi
Kaede stared forward her eyes shifting towards everyone in the trial grounds. It had to be one of them, but who could it be? Her breath began to hitch, her fists began to tremble, her eyes started to water as the smell of the liar among them had begun to reek, the smell of a murderer pouring off of them.
They had framed her, for the murder of Maki Harukawa the Ultimate Child Caregiver and she couldn’t believe they could frame herself either, she couldn’t believe Maki was actually dead, they had recently left another to die in the recent trial, she could still see it, Kokichi’s smile at her in his final moments as he chugged the poison down as she swore to fight to get everyone remaining out of this hellhole with her.
Kaede gently raises her hand up, gulping her doubts down as they only grew and grew and grew within her, gaze landed on Shuichi still doubtful and guilty for the crime she was about to accuse them of, if she was wrong she was begging for him to disprove her claims, yeah if she was wrong he had to disprove her.
What she was doing was for the greater good, just keep telling yourself that.
Her doubts swelled, then popped like a balloon as she swallowed her fears, letting the sorrowful rhythm of her heart guide her. “I think it’s Shuichi,” Kaede said her voice barely above a whisper, she felt herself tremble as the eyes of everyone in the courtroom landed on her, almost as if she had done some unspeakable horror.
But she did, didn’t she? Shuichi looks at her like a deer in the headlights, petrified by what she’s just declared to everyone remaining, the next discussion had already begun.
She didn’t want to accuse Shuichi! She honestly didn’t want to accuse Shuichi of all people, she had trusted him ever since they both came here, she didn’t want to believe that Shuichi had lied to her, betrayed that trust she delicately wrapped and handed to him.
Kaede didn’t want to believe that Shuichi was about to die in this purgatory of a place after they had promised to get out of here together after they had gotten so far together for it only to turn out to all be for nothing.
Kaito was refuting it, he pulled himself up into the podium his voice booming above all the rest, he wouldn’t believe Kaede’s accusation. “Hey! Kaede! Have you gone insane? It’s not Shuichi! It can’t be him, fuck... it’s probably Monokuma! Right, Shuichi? Prove Kaede wrong! It’s not you, right?”
“... I-I...” Shuichi froze as the attention was suddenly cast onto him, he pulled his hat down over his face to hide his gaze from the others, Kaede knew why. “... it’s... not me, m’ not the killer.” He pulled the hat down till Kaede could no longer see his eyes, she twitched at the reaction she gave.
“... See? He’s not the killer, we shouldn’t be arguing against each other, it’s that stupid damned fucking bear that’s trapped us all here, we should be fighting against them.” Kaito pushed down against the podium it was obvious he was growing more frenzied by the second, she couldn’t blame him. He was growing close to Maki, breaking the mask that she showed everyone, trying to get her to finally join everybody else in the group.
Then she died, after days of training sessions, days of conversation, days filled with him growing close to her... she died, how couldn’t he feel livid by such circumstance?
“... K... Kaede please.” Shuichi whimpered weakly as he pushed his hat up to reveal a sorrowful gaze on the verge of tears, Shuichi trembled to himself before hunching over the podium, his shaky grip holding tightly onto the stand.
“M-Maaaki’s... dead... I-I... I can’t handle any more of this... I-I don’t want to die... I don’t want the others to die either... but you... can’t vote for me, you just can’t otherwise we’ll all die together and...” He looked away from Kaito. “... and... with... m-my... deductions I can... conclude it’s Monokuma, it has to be him. I agree with Kaito.”
...
That’s all it took, for Kaede’s determination to resolve, she hated this more than anything, what she was forced to do to find the truth, is this how Shuichi feels every time they apprehend a culprit, vote for them as the blackened?
It’s too painfully ironic, it makes her want to cry. “... I don’t want to die either. Shuichi, that’s... why I need to do this, I... want you to know... I didn’t want it to be like this.” A teardrop rolls down her face, her bottom lip quivers, she even grabs at the podium to remain upright. “I never wanted this, I’m sorry you felt like this each damned trial up till now, I’m sorry it has to be this way, but I promise from now on...”
Kaede looks Shuichi straight in the eye, as she grabs a firm grip of her heart. “I’ll find the truth, no matter how harsh it is, I’ll make this the last murder to ever happen- the last death in the academy, why I’ll lead us all together into the perfect symphony even if the others aren’t here with us anymore, I’ll even swear I’ll get everyone to live and escape for you.”
“You’re the culprit, Shuichi Saihara.”
...
It took everything that Kaede still had in her to break every little detail that Shuichi brought up, every little piece of evidence that supported him of being the murderer despite how hard he desperately argued, the trial had concluded, the results were cast.
It wasn’t a unanimous vote, she look down guiltily at the fact her name had one golden mark under it.
Shuichi had gone onto the verge of hyperventilating, he was currently pulling his hat down to cover his gaze from everybody else, muttering weak apologies as he slowly reeled towards the floor. “I’m sorry... I-Iiiiii’m so... sorry everyone... I-I... I-Iiiiii’m so sorry Makiiii... I-I don’t.... want to die... N-Not like this, I haven’t seen... if Uncle’s alright... if he’s... okay...”
His... uncle? Motive this time around had been “Favorite People”, Kaede shifted towards Shuichi, she... she needed more answers, this just wasn’t enough... I-It wasn’t enough for her.
“... K... Kaede... I’m sorry, I’m so sorry I was too scared- s-so scared that I almost... let you all die!” He wrapped his hands around his head. “I... I’m so sorry, I betrayed you all... I-I... I just... there’s not even an excuse...!”
“Shuichi- it’s-!” She wanted to explain this wasn’t his fault, it was Monokuma’s, all of this could be directed at the mastermind of the killing game, and only them.
“... It is my fault... I-I took a deal with Monokuma, I killed Maki, I betrayed the trust you placed in me, I almost got you all killed.” He replies gently tugging at his hat. “I even... t-took advantage of... you Kaede, I framed you for murder. I took Kaito’s trust and smashed it into pieces. I KILLED SOMEONE! That bear, that filthy bear made me do so much unexplainable crimes because I took his deal, just to make sure Uncle was safe... I deserve this... yet I still just don’t wanna die... I-I want to... Iiiii...”
“... I wanted to make it out with the rest of you all, but I was so... damned selfish.” Shuichi fell wearily to his knees, tears freely flowing down his face, his entire world having been shattered. ”No... amount of it, no amount of words will ever make this up... B-But I still want... to... live!”
Kaito took his side, standing in front of him before cracking his knuckles, Kaede’s legs start moving before she even know what’s going on, before she embraces Shuichi as firmly and securely within her death-grip as she can.
“...I refuse.” Kaito replies. “I won’t let you lay a paw on his fuckin’ head! You’ll hafta go through me if you want to kill Shuichi, do you hear me!?”
“... Shuichi... I-I’m sorry, I’m sorry I voted for you, but I promise it’s okay. I... H-He won’t hurt you, I won’t let... Monokuma take you away either Shuichi, we’re all going to fight together till the bitter end. Okay?”
Kaede felt her footing come loose slightly, Shuichi pulled up with a wet face as he continued to cry into Kaede’s shoulder as weakly as he possibly could, all energy having been drained out of him.
Kaede holds onto Shuichi, trying her very best so she doesn’t let go of him, so he’s not taken away from her, so she doesn’t lose the life of a person she cares about again.
...
A collar shoots out to pull him by the neck, Kaede’s pulled with him at first towards the ceiling to wherever the execution grounds may be, what stops her?
Shuichi choking, as soon as she opens her eyes to see this her grip loosens, the only thing she can grab a hold on before she comes plummeting to the ground being the detective’s hat he cared for, both his crutch and his weakness.
He’s gone, it’s become nothing more than a symbol of him.
Even if he was a traitor, even if he was a murderer, even... if he framed her for murder... He was still Shuichi Saihara the person she grew to... become friends with, the person who she grew to trust, and... even then, nobody deserves the fate of death.
Kaede pulls his hat up, pressing it against her heart, bound to break at any given moment.
What a dreadful killing harmony, but she’ll have to play such a song till it’s very end until it’s all over.
She’ll fight with the others, this will be the last sorrowful melody to be played, she swears.

S
Ahhh, thank you guys so much for asking!! I just compiled them all into one post so I don’t clog up your dash with several posts. Here we go! I’m going to tag this as discourse and put a cut because my answers to the letters might not please everyone, aha. It’s long, too. Major spoilers for NDRV3.
S: Any fandom tropes you can’t resist?
Honestly, I’m not super sure at this point. Surprise, surprise, I only just recently finished watching the rest of NDRV3 and started writing for it. And I haven’t thought about tropes that much, though I’m sure I’ve written plenty of them into my writing at some point, even if not posted on here.
If we’re going to go Danganronpa-centric, as this is my side blog for Danganronpa writing, I’d say that I fall in love with characters that are contradictory and with seemingly bipolar or gray morals despite probably having morals as straight as an arrow myself, i.e. Nagito or Kokichi. The characters playing “straight man” and relating to the reader’s perspective are also my favorite; in a wacky situation, they offer reason and normal reactions, which I would peg Hajime as (maybe Kazuichi, too, although he’s more of a crybaby). In fanfiction, I just love hurt & comfort fics, especially involving–you guessed it–Kokichi. I am particularly partial to the Oumota chapter 5 and chapter 5 trial rewrites, which, lucky for me, both of which are quite often rewritten by spectacular writers.
If we’re going in general, I always end up reading manga with an independent, strong and decisive character that crosses worlds and/or bodies by accident or death and becomes incredibly powerful/influential in the world and dominates over other characters with skills ranging from cooking to fighting. I guess I read a lot of manhua with martial arts or other manga with game aspects to it.Writing-wise, I love reading slow burn fics, even if I haven’t read one in quite some time.
T: Any fandom tropes you can’t stand?
I have a feeling this is going to go into highly controversial areas, so if you ultra ship Kaito x Maki, please turn away now...
I just hate that “man saves woman” from herself or traumatic past trope. Don’t get me wrong, I love hurt/comfort like I mentioned, but to specify, what I mean is when a strong and independent woman needs saving by a man. I realize Maki has a lot of issues from her past as an assassin and that Kaito is a viable, good option for helping her out and facing those issues, but the fact of him being a man and the way he just swoops in and fixes things forcefully by pulling her along for training just irks me. And before you ask, yes, if Kaede did it instead as a woman I would have less of a problem with it, even if I don’t like that somehow after a couple days of training together Maki somehow is better able to get along with others and most notably Shuichi despite having spent the previous entire time cooped up in her Ultimate room alone, is willing to use her experience as an assassin to help out with the investigation when she just walked out in the past, etc. Problems from a past like that would never be so easily faced in reality; people and their minds are much more stubborn than we’d like to think, too.
In general, I am also highly averse to the Women in Refrigerators trope. To some extent, I feel that Kaede fits this trope, as a.) she is an important, pivotal, incredibly fleshed out female character and even the initial protagonist of ndrv3, b.) she dies arbitrarily for a murder she did not commit, c.) a big part of her death is written into Shuichi’s character development for making him grow as the protagonist (he sheds the cap, faces the truth, and the memory of Kaede’s last wishes serves as his support to reveal the truth several times in trial), and of course, d.) her death in the execution is grotesque as befitting of a Danganronpa execution. Kaede deserved so. much. more.
There are probably more out there, but I won’t mention them for the sake of length & time.
U: Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.
Okay! So don’t hate me for this, but I haven’t been really keeping up a bunch with fanfiction writers or specific ones that much. It just hasn’t ever been a habit of mine in the past to follow one writer–ironic, I know. There’s one that immediately comes to mind, but she’s not part of the Danganronpa fandom, so unless someone asks, I’ll leave her out of it. However, there are a couple of writers that I recently discovered through the Oumota weekend event and which I follow on my main blog, and I thoroughly enjoy reading their work. Their work also contains mentions of NDRV3 spoilers!
1. @kirastrations
I recently reblogged her work on this blog because I have so much love for the Oumota fic she wrote (which deserves more love!). It’s called One by One, One After Another, and I simply adore the way she writes Kaito’s character and experiences with the other characters throughout the game and the overarching feeling that comes across as a result of the situation and what ensues. The diction choices she makes is absolute art; I see the imagery so clearly in my head, and not a single word of hers is wasted. It’s concise while being aptly and most beautifully descriptive. Even though I’m not a huge fan of Kaito, the way she writes him and his actions make me love him. I would describe the work as a futile yet desperate and exquisite struggling, an embodiment of angst that is so beautifully painful that it appears to be an illusion. I haven’t had a chance to check out other works from her just yet, but that’s on my to-do list!
2. @golden-redhead
I love, love, love their work too. They recently posted Lavender, a Kirumi x Kaede (Tojomatsu? Kaerumi? Kirumatsu?) work for femslash Feb, and it is a post-reality Virtual AU short fic. The way they write the interaction between Kirumi and Kaede offers such a delicate, carefully constructed image and story while creating some tension between the two. They also format the story with Kirumi’s thoughts in a simple and straightforward way that is just so delicious to read. Aspects of Kirumi explored are small things that unravel into a bigger statement about her character and the nature of the killing game and the impact it has left on her. It reminds me of the way a player might gently stack up a house of cards–attentively, with a sharp eye and feel.
3. @starlightwritesalie
They wrote these two Oumota fics for the weekend that I fell in love with, especially the one for Day 1: Heroes/Villains. Sometimes when living in the world of Danganronpa, you forget that these tragic situations and the killing game are experienced, in essence, by children. You can argue that they’re older than high schoolers for the first two games, but mentally they are still high schoolers, and let’s face it–a couple years above the legal age of being an adult in America, 18, can hardly be counted as an adult, either. They reminded me of that sickening fact so poetically yet bluntly, and the story they write only serves as a further reminder of that fact. They write statements about the situation and how the pair act in the situation that are so agonizing yet irrefutable–as is the situation that they’re both trapped in. The ending is so unbearably cruel, packed with pain, but the way they create it is so decisively soft and snatches away my breath with the truth at the heart of the game, the situation.
So there you have it! Sorry that my answers are so long... I have too much to say, and especially about the people whom I adore. Since it said to pick 3, I didn’t get to include these two, but I also love aroseandapen and mystic-mints dearly. If you ask, I’ll write a whole paragraph on why I love them, too, although I suspect by this time you all are getting rather tired of all my talking, haha. I also didn’t include imagines blogs, but if you’re curious, feel free to ask about that since I am still kind of a imagines blog! I guess at this point I’m kind of a fusion of an imagines blog and normal fanfiction writing blog.
Thanks for asking, and if you have any more questions, feel free to shoot an ask!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PURPLE GREMLIN!!! What would the other V3 characters give him for his birthday? ^_^
These choices will be based on what Kokichi and the respective characters are interested in.
The ‘Kokichi Ouma’s Theory of Happiness’ song randomly played when i was writing this. Now I’m so S a D.
~ Mod Ouma
Gifts the V3 Cast would give Kokichi for his Birthday!
Kaede Akamatsu
A custom ordered keyboard set with the theme of Kokichi’s DICE uniform.
She hopes he plays a few songs with this keyboard and make people smile too.
She also gives him a really thick binder filled with ‘beginner songs’ like the Flight of The Bumblebee for him to practice on his own.
“I’m sure you’ll be able top make a lot of people smile in no time, Kokichi!”
Shuichi Saihara
Shuichi tried his best to come up with a gift based on what he knew of the Supreme Leader. He wants to get a gift that he knew Kokichi would enjoy based on his hobbies… Lying and pranking.
10000 DICE members… If he claims to have so many followers, then his gift wouldn’t quite stand out.
He gets him the Electempest, a pop electro water-gun. He slightly regrets it, but he knew Kokichi would have fun with it.
“H-Hey! just don’t cause trouble on the streets- uh. I… Gave him an idea, didn’t I…”
Maki Harukawa
Even though Kokichi will pester her for weapons as gift, she will never give him anything sharp.
Growing up in an orphanage, she developed a sort of insight when it comes to child-like people.
She gets him an epic-looking blanket cape.
“Just don’t trip and die from it.”
Gonta Gokuhara
Gets him a small terrarium filled with cute bugs! Gonta wants to remind Kokichi that bugs wants to be friends with him too!
Small butterflies, vibrant caterpillars hairy tarantulas, and more!
Kokichi better take care of these precious beings.
He proceeds to list off all the special needs his new bug friends has.
Miu Iruma
As if she’d waste her beautiful golden brain for this little gremlin!
… She remembers the blueprints he’d have with him whenever they planned out inventions together.
Also slips in a vaguely inappropriate photo of her.
“H-How did that get in there! Aha! So you are a closet pervert after all!!”
Ryoma Hoshi
He barely interacted with Kokichi, but he still wanted to give him a gift.
He gets Kokichi a cat-themed jacket. He’s slightly regretting it as Kokichi teases him.
But the way he slings it through his arms and wears it for the rest of the day tells Ryoma he appreciated the gift.
“Guess you still have a ways to go when it comes to talking to people, Kokichi. But you’re getting there.” panta-boy didn’t expect hearing that from Ryoma, but he muses over the gesture.
Angie Yonaga
Gives him a life-sized painting of Atua to hang in his room!
oh, and also a portrait of him looking cool in his Supreme Leader cape and hat.
“Kokichi needs god in his life, Angie’s wishes him a happy birthday with this reminder!”
Rantaro Amami
Gets him a hammock and an advanced lock picking set.
“Just don’t break into anyone’s private property okay?” He knows his request might be left unheard.
He remembers a conversation where he and Kokichi make small talk about comfort zones. Kokichi offhandedly mentions wanting a hammock.
Himiko Yumeno
A magic hat!
Or, really just a magic trick hat with a hidden compartment where you could hide things in. Now, Kokichi can do magic too!
“That’s right! I actually used 36%of my mana just for this present, so you better appreciate it.”
Tenko Chabashira
Why would she spend time thinking up a gift for a degenerate male!
… She gets him a custom practice sword she secretly carved out herself. Kokichi did do so much for her and her friends.
“I-It’s not like I put my time and effort for this! S-Stop calling it cute, you- you male!!!”
Korekiyo Shinguji
He gives Kokichi an anthology of great ruler, king, queen, war generals and other types of leaders.
He hopes it’ll entertain him and inspire him as the Super High School Level Supreme Leader.
“This barely scratches the surface of history, but I will be more than happy to give you the other 42 editions of the anthology.”
Tsumugi Shirogane
Gives him cosplays of purple-haired anime characters like Shinsou Hitoshi, Homura Akemi, Minene Uryuu, Kamui Gakupo- the possibilities are endless!
She also offered to make him a revised more detailed version of his uniform, but Kokichi wanted to stick to what he has.
She was gonna give him a gift she thought he might like, but she got carried away with imagining him as her favorite characters.
Kaito Momota
His relationship with this boy is rocky and Kaito needs some coaxing from Maki and Shuichi to get him to stop being so distant with Kokichi.
But that’s because he’s frustrated and upset over Kokichi’s villain complex. He knows it can’t be healthy to hold all of that malice in him.
Kaito gets him a pair of boxing gloves and a punching bag.
“Don’t just bottle up your anger without doing anything about it, yeah?”
Kirumi Tojo
People ask for her services as the Ultimate Maid and she knows how to grant their wishes, but only when prompted for it.
So, she assigns himself the role of his personal maid for the day and cooks/bakes him whatever he wants.
Kokichi makes impossible requests most of the time. “Travel to outer space!”, “Find my long lost, non-existent twin brother for me!”
She only smiles, fondly shaking her head, and tries to compromise through baked goods.
Kiibo/K1-B0
He considers writing Kokichi a short but concise manual of Robophobia and proper etiquette when facing robots.
But he ends up buying him a copy of Detroit: Becoming Human he can play with him. Maybe their friendship will improve after this?
There’s only a few people who knew Kokichi’s love for video games. He hopes Kokichi would enjoy the game’s interactive story and lessons on morals.
They play it at his party, Kokichi stalls most investigations by goofing around as Connor.
“H-Hey! You’re ruining the game play, maybe I should’ve gotten you that book first after all…!”

If Kaede was part of the Maki/Shuichi/Kaito Dynamic

Source
So as a person who’s still a bit frustrated over Kaede getting killed so early here’s what I think the Kaito/Shuichi/Maki dynamic would be like if Kaede were alive.
Warning: This is really long because I got inspired lol
Since in the beginning of Chapter 1, Kaito and Shuichi were already gravitating toward Kaede due to her leadership qualities. So they would form a trio right after Chapter 1. Chapter 2 would have us see the dynamic between the three of them like Kaito/Shuichi in the original game. Then Maki would get added into the mix when Kaito tries to get her to join their group.
Kaede would be wary of her due to her being an assassin. Kaito would keep trying to convince her to give her a chance so then she tries to be open and friendly to her like Kaito. She realizes how she’s not bloodthristy but just put under unfortunate circumstances. I noticed Maki was able to open up her defenses to befriend Kaito due to his friendly nature. Since Kaede is outgoing and friendly as well, I feel like once Kaede understands and trusts her, Maki would like her a lot. I always liked the idea that they would parallel Kaito and Shuichi as “best friends”. Kaede playing with her hair and other events in the game that show them bonding.
Kaito and Kaede would be the positive energy in the group that keeps Maki and Shuichi’s heads high. I would imagine they would just get along right away and Kaito would help her with leading and inspiring others. They would have that type of dynamic that would have more playful teasing and lots of small talk due to them being more outgoing.
Shuichi and Kaede would have a similar dynamic to Hajime/Chiaki and Makoto/Kyoko. He would act as the partner to our main protagonist and help her whenever she’s down and support her. Kaede would encourage Shuichi and help him with his confidence by having him help her with leadership, investigations, ect. They would still have the same cute relationship that would slowly develop into a romance (Saimatsu shippers rejoice xD) They would be a team that would stand by each other and have more development in their relationship than what we got originally.
One of the things I felt was off about the trio in the game was that it felt unbalanced. Both Maki and Shuichi depend on Kaito a lot and he’s the one that holds the group together. Maki and Shuichi are friends to a certain degree but they don’t mix as well together due to Shuichi being a bit of a pushover and Maki being more harsh. I like the possibilities of this relationship but it doesn’t feel like they would try to keep the friendship if it wasn’t for Kaito. Maybe Maki and Shuichi’s relationship would be better if they met and got to know each other on their own terms. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think they hate each other.
What I’m saying is that Kaede would bring balance to the trio. She would be the friend that would bring the peace in a disagreement, but is not afraid to call out people.
So this leads to the drama in Chapter 4 and 5. When Maki and Kaito stand against Shuichi’s actions in the fourth trial. Kaede would stand by him and be more understanding to why he did that. She would get even though it was cruel, he did it to save everyone. Kaito and Maki would feel betrayed by this because it would look like she’s siding with Ouma’s views in their eyes. Maki would be hurt because someone she considered to be one of her closest friends decides to stand against her. Kaito would be shocked because he believed she would always believe in people like him. Then Maki would harshly accuse Kaede that she stands by Shuichi because she has a crush on him, and in frustration Kaede would accuse the same thing with her with Kaito. Overall both girls would start to yell each other and Shuichi and Kaito would have to break them up. Then the group splits up for a while.
What leads to this climax of the everyone’s friendships here is the connection to Ouma and his views and the lack of understanding. Maki hasn’t had friends in so long and when you take someone who’s been a ruthless and unemotional killer for so long, they say harsh things and don’t consider people’s feelings. Kaito and Maki dislike Ouma, but I believe Kaede would try to bond with him and understand him. Maki, Kaito, and Shuichi would disagree (well less for Shuichi) but they wouldn’t care much at first. As Ouma acts more antagonistic toward everyone, Kaito and Maki would argue with Kaede’s attempts of friendship with Ouma. When Shuichi sides with him in the fourth trial and then Kaede agrees with him, it puts a dent on the group’s friendship. Kaito and Maki wouldn’t understand due to Kaito’s stubbornness and Maki’s lack of empathy (because of that I feel like that’s why she sides with someone she’s closer to over undersanding everyone’s feelings- Kaito). So when someone she’s attached to, like Kaede stands against her she feels betrayed and says stupid and petty things in anger due to her fear and frustration of losing a friend like she lost in the orphanage.
This is what I felt like would have made Maki trying to kill Ouma have much more reason and impact to it. Her believing he’s the mastermind would be an excuse for her to take him down. Her anger at him kidnapping Kaito, having Shuichi and Kaede stand against her, and overall breaking up her only group of friends in her eyes would build up to this.
The same events would happen, Kaito kills Ouma and tries intact his plan and the others would try to save him. Kaede and Shuichi would make up with Kaito at the window before shit goes down.
During the trial, Kaede would be furious with Maki when she intentionally lied to get everyone killed. Maki would try to act like she doesn’t care but would be hurt inside. At the end of the trial, Kaede would slap Maki for her actions (trying to kill Ouma and lying to cause their deaths). Maki would simply be silent and realizing her mistakes and feel immense guilt. Kaito would yell at Kaede to not be too harsh on her. He would tell Kaede privately that Maki just needs guidance and a good friend to help her sort herself out and that he trusts Kaede and Shuichi to do that for him. Kaede would take his words to heart and would be sad as everyone else after his death. Maki would apologize to everyone for her brash actions and everyone would forgive her. Kaede would make her promise to never try to kill again and both girls would forgive each other. Kaede would try to look after Maki, like Kaito. She would help her love herself and sort out her insecurities with Shuichi.
Sorry those last parts ended up focusing a lot on Kaede and Maki but it makes sense because we never see their dynamic. I feel like Kaede would have added a lot to Maki’s character as someone who would stand up to her but also be a friend to her. Maki having other close relationships besides Kaito is what I felt like would have helped her develop more into a stronger and independent person after all the trauma in her life and in the school. I love her relationship with Kaito but I did find it unhealthy that she just focused on him.
Fun fact: Some ideas for Maki/Kaede came from the fanfic “I’d Trade My Life for Your’s” (HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO READ). I wanted to state that having the four of them keeps a balance. Without Shuichi in the story, all hell broke loose for Kaede and Maki’s relationship. There wasn’t a trio for Kaito to get Maki into (I’m guessing cause he didn’t befriend Kaede the same way as Shuichi) so she was only able to befriend him. This caused a REALLY unhealthy attachment for Kaito and hatred for everyone else. She kinda turned into the Togami/Komaeda/Ouma in the story. It shows how Maki’s flaws can lead her down a darker path if things went differently. Seeing Maki and Kaede become enemies in the story made me want to see them as friends somewhere (so this happened lol)
With Kaito, I feel Kaede would have a similar dynamic to him and Shuichi but it’s Kaito wanting to be her sidekick due to the confidence she has. They would develop a close friendship through him helping her, but would always be concerned for her when she tried to befriend Ouma. (idk where to put this. I feel like all of this was already messy lol)
So yeah I feel like Kaede would have added so much to the trio if she was there. This adds to my fuel for my wishes for Kaede being alive. I hope for those who made it this far enjoyed my thoughts. If there are any opinions or anything please share. I hope I was accurate with the characters cause it’s been a while since I played the game xD
I swear I really should make Danganronpa fanfics haha.

V3 cast as Traitors
this hurts me to write because I remember the second game traitor :((
-mod Saihara
IMPORTANT!: I wrote this as if the reader((y/n))was part of the killing game, and may or may not the the s/o. It’s up to the reader
this is way too long , so for the anon who asked, imagine is under the cut
Kaede:
she’s the what?
the traitor?
no... how
how is it that the girl standing in front of you betrayed each and every one of you
Angie, Himiko, Ouma, even Saihara
everyone
she helped everyone of them die
all this time she was telling everyone to not give up.. and now this?
she’s been found out...now what’s going to happen to the remaining students?
the remaining students just stand there, in horror
and the bright look in Kaede’s eyes are gone, every hint her previous self gone as she talks about how naive everyone was
“Too bad, this is the ending Shuichi died for.”
your numb, monokuma is laughing-he’s won and he knows it
then a piano starts to play- but it’s different. Its as if the entire piano is set to a minor scale, making everything sound dark
its a mix of flats and sharps you hear at the end, and then your world goes dark
Saihara:
he’s smiling
smiling as he betrays everyone
smiling as he kills Amami
smiling when everyone find out how he really is
he’s disappointed of course, but he’s glad he could pull of a trick of that caliber!
and your left screaming
he promised
he promised
he promised
he promised that he’d protect everyone, he promised Kaede that she wouldn’t have died in vain
he promised
and he lied
you ask him why.why.why.why.why.why
and he gives you a look of pain
“I just wanted to feel alive.”
and monokuma is beginning the execution.
he’s not the same detective that you met in the gym.
he’s not the Saihara you knew
he takes his hat off, and looks at you.
he’s smiling
and then its over
Maki:
her hair is flowing in the night sky as you find out.
and she frowns
how very, very bad of you to figure it out
who tipped Angie off
who knew about Korekiyo’s past
she was a caregiver
loved by kids
not very sociable
and has a bad personality
she’s sighing as she knows what needs to be done
dispose
she can’t be found out
she needs to stay alive
“You’re a pain, y/n. I knew you were going to be a hassle eventually.”
And she hits you and you go down
you realize that you passed out when you wake up
but something’s different
your tied up
and she’s the only one here
she brings you food. And even reads to you.
She keeps you safe.
She trains you until you follow her every command.
even if that means dying
she lets you see other people now, a smile on your face as you cant feel anything
looks like Maki has a trump card up her sleeve
Kaito:
He’s the fourth murderer
he didn’t plan on being the traitor, of course but he had no choice
he was blackmailed
that’s why he had to tell Mokokuma about the plan
Mokokuma would have killed the person he loved
He couldn’t let that happen
he had to
Everyone is voting for him, what do you do?
you suddenly realize why the trial-room is this big
why the murder was the only one that knocked the victim out before hand
You can’t look at him when everyone votes correctly
But he’s desperate to look at you
you can tell he’s trying so hard to get your attention
but you know what?
you’re not about to give it to him.
so when he finally speeds over to you as monokuma calls time up, you brush him off
“Get away.”
and he’s so hurt
his eyes are as deep as the night sky, every twinkle of stars gone
finally with choking breaths he manages:
“I just wanted to protect you.”
You keep your composure until you get back to your room
then you break down
because he knew someone had to die, and he chose himself over you.
and you couldn’t even comfort him in his last moments.
It hurts you sosososo much
almost enough to die
But also enough to get revenge
Iruma:
It makes sense, she’s the ultimate inventor
She’s the only one who could have upgraded those machines monokuma controls
she’s the only one who could have helped plan the new motive
she’s shaking on her podium when you finally figure it out
but you cant do anything about it? can you?
she isn’t the killer and no one can trust her now
so what’s the point ?
she says she did it because she just wanted to get out of here alive.
she didn’t like anyone here at all. She just wanted herself to live.
and now your whole world is shimmering
and you realize you’re crying
what was it then? your yelling now.
why did she spend time with you then? When she hated everyone in the first place?
she tries to defend herself, saying she doesn’t hate you guys...
“But you’d let us die to save your fucking life.”
your voice is full of malice
She Told you that she enjoyed being with you
how could have been so stupid?
And then Monokuma steps in.
What good is a spy that’s been found out?
and then she realizes whats going to happen
she’s going to die anyways.
and shes crying and pleading for someone so save her.
no one will
you watch as the light drain out of her eyes, just like she watched the light from Angie’s eyes fade.
and your glad she got what was coming for her.
but now there’s an even bigger question
Who killed Iruma Mui?
Kiibo:
The first thing monokuma does when you find out is to laugh
Kiibo-Hope,Huh. How ironic
he forced Kiibo to kill
he forced Kiibo to gather information
and now he’s forcing Kiibo to kill the remaining students, in front of their eyes
Kiibo’s ares are glowing a deadly red color as he blows up Katio
No emotion
and then he takes down Shirogane with a blade
You want to run, but you can’t
no one can defeat an AI
you cant move. its impossible
your trying to remember the shy robot you met the first day
and now he’s choking Tenko
The doors are locked, everyone is trapped in this arena
Gonta throws Kiibo to the other side of the room
there’s the crunching of rocks and metal before Kiibo gets up again
and he cuts Gonta, blood spraying like snow
and now he’s coming after you
and you just.cant.move.
Kiibo lifts the blade for the final strike
but you don’t feel anything.
reason being Ouma took the blade for you.
Ouma. Of all people.
He’s been impaled through the stomach.
You can see the fear in his eyes as coughs blood, some of it dribbling down his chin
He falls.
You’re the last one alive, covered in blood and forced to look into the killer’s eyes.
Ouma saved you. But that only extended your lifetime by seconds
You don’t have the energy to cry.
Kiibo brings the blade up, covered in different layers of blood.
“Any last words.”
he states it in a monotone voice.
You don’t really have your thoughts straight enough, so you just tell him what you’ve wanted to tell him.
“I still believe you can be human.”
He actually falters
and then your world goes red.
but you wouldn’t doubt it that Monokuma will be able to control Kiibo for the next killing game
Himiko:
She did it for you
You were always the one to find food when you two were hungry
You and her were the only family to each-other
You made sure she got enough to eat
Even if that meant giving all your food to her
You were both together ever since both of you were abandoned
and you survived
and now you, the SHSL scavenger, has to watch as your sister is found out to be the traitor
Now people are saying that you could possibly be the traitor
“NO!STOP! I’m the one who’s the traitor here! Leave y/n out of it!”
some people still look skeptical but they watch as you approach Himiko
“why?”
“I had to pay you back for all those days where you made sure I was safe, even if that meant putting your life at risk.”
Tears started to well up in her eyes
“ I didn’t want to do it. But it was either me or you. I needed to, i’m sorry. I’m so so sorry.”
and then your crying, and crying and crying.
she’s not your real sister but hell, she’s the been more of a family then your real family ever was.
and you don’t want her to leave you. nonononono.
who’s going to keep you company on cold nights when the only thing you can think of is how cold and hungry you are?
who’s going to preform magic tricks to help earn money?
the only member of your family is going to die. Your terrified
You cant let go of her, if you do then it’ll be the last time you ever see her.
Your yelling at Mokokuma to please, please please please please please don’t kill her. Anyone but her.
But she knows that she has to go.
It takes both Tenko and Gonta to pry you away.
Himiko gives you one last look as monokuma is yelling that its punishment time
She places her your hands, giving a weak smile.
Your being pulled away, your throat is raw but you couldn’t care less.
She’s just about to be dragged off when her face contorts and tears fall
“No...I don’t want to die.”
And that’s the final strike for you.
everything goes dark
you don’t come out of your room for days, Tojo brings you food and water but your not hungry
It takes you weeks to realize she would want you to get out here.
Make the mastermind suffer.
so you finally go out.
You can deal with the grief for now.
Until you can get out of this game.
Korekiyo:
he’s bored by the time you find out
I mean come on, it took you that long to put the pieces together
everyone is yelling at him that they won’t trust him anymore, that he’s going to be suspected of every single murder now.
“Really, when did I ever said that I cared.”
He tells a story
A story about how he was always a pawn
how he worked for his mother, obeyed every command
he sharpened his talents. He obeys his owner
He was bought, and was put into this killing game to make notes for his master.
He doesn’t care if he dies or lives, he’s even working with the mastermind.
he confesses all of this at once, leaving everyone speechless
the only truth he ever told was that he loved humans
He’s been intrigued since day 1
And that’s why he’s in here
To study their behavior
To know them better than they would know themselves
And if people die, the better.
Because it shows humans their true personality
His eyes cloud over as he talks about his master, he won’t ever ever ever ever eeeeverrr betray them.
And that’s why the mastermind is letting him say this, because they know he wont say anything, even if they torture him.
‘Ahhh, but alas, it seams as if my master doesn’t even remember me. You see, they also decided to join this game, how wonderful of them.”
And the room drops a few degrees.
because now even monokuma is confirming it, one of these people alive is the mastermind.
.......
and you wonder.....
just mayyyyyyybe....
that your part of something that you can’t remember.....
Angie:
nihahah!
your right! Its! Angie!
she jumps up in down in various poses as she is convicted of being the traitor.
Angie?
How is she, the most energetic person in this entire game... the traitor?
She’s laughing, as if someone said something funny
“ Angie told allllllll of your secrets!”
but..why?
what would she get out of betraying everyone?
“you are are so silly!Angie didn’t betray you!”
she sold everyone out she told the mastermind everything that they were planing. She sabotaged the escape plan.
“You DIRTY LITTLE SON OF A-”
thwack
and Kaito is down
“neh heh heh! Don’t get too close Momota-kun~”
She didn’t kill him, of course. But he’s injured.
“Hey... Angie-san... what do you get out of going this?”
and now she tilts her head like you’ve just asked her why humans need air
“Isn’t it obvious? God has made it this way!”
God?
“It’s God’s will for Angie to be the traitor! So Angie trusts in God!”
everyone is shoring her glares, because really?’ she’s going to use that excuse?
you might as well ask...
“ Hey Angie, what is God’s will for us?”
She gives you a darkened smile.
“God can’t hear you.”
And she leaves the courtroom.
Gonta:
h...how? How could someone like him be the traitor?
In fact, he doesn’t know it himself
what! He...... he....betrayed everyone...
Oh no..oh no oh no oh no.....
Because he didn’t mean to
he didn’t know that saying that would help Monokuma... he really didn’t
And then he’s crying because he never ever meant to hurt anyone.
and just because he accidentally told monokuma about the hidden hallway..
now all the information about the outside is gone
everything that would tell them how to get out is gone
and of course, people are angry
they yell at how he messed up
how he’s useless
how no one’s going to trust him now
and it makes your angry
everyone is yelling and Gonta is crying and shaking
and its when someone calls him dumb, you snap
“SHUT THE FUCK UP!”
well that got everyone's attention.
“I DON’T SEE ANY OF YOU BRINGING UP THE FACT THAT ALL OF YOU WERE TOO PANSY TO KEEP STALLING FOR TIME. OR MAYBE THE FACT THAT GONTA WAS TERRIFIED TO TALK TO MONOKUMA. OR THE FACT THAT HE MANAGED TO KEEP TALKING FOR A FULL 20 MINUTES.”
your breath is coming in raged inhalations
“AND THE FACT IS THAT YOU CAN’T JUST BLAME HIM. EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU WERE TOO GREEDY TO WAIT YOUR TURN TO GO ONE BY ONE IN THAT HALL. YOU JUST ALL WANTED TO GET OUT OF HERE.”
your dragging Gonta away now, away from these sick people
“If you need us, then too bad, we’re not giving anyone help now.”
There were people that didn’t blame Gonta of course, but they still didn’t stand up for him did they?
he thanks you as you get him something to drink and some tissues.
everyone eventually apologies, Gonta 100% forgives them
you, on the other hand are a different story
looks like everyone is back at square one.
Tenko:
she’s the traitor
the reality of the situation finally gets to you when you see her dead body
she just wanted to protect her family
Monokuma had forced her to be the traitor
her akido master, her parents her family.
They were all being tortured
she heard them scream
she had to
she had to
she had invited you over to talk the night before her death
she asks what you think of her
“Tenko, it’s OK... I don’t blame you. I know that you had no choice.”
she’s crying
thank you, she’s saying.
Thank you thank you thank you
she’s so happy.
your don’t hate her. you don’t hate her
you take her hands and tell her that you’ll always be here for her
and then she tells you that she likes you
she’s grown to like the things you do, the way your hair is, the way you smile
she likes you
but then she tells you that she needs to go... that she can’t be with her for much longer
You tell her to please, please please please be safe.
and she takes her choker off.
she hands it to you, saying that you can give it back to her in the morning, and that she’ll make sure that she can see it you again
you tell her that you want o be with her, you want to take her out for coffee once you get out of here
and then she asks to kiss you.
its soft and is too short, and when she pulls away she’s trying to be cheerful
that was just a goodnight kiss, she says, there’ll be more to come.
and then she waves you goodbye
the next time you see her is the next morning, dead
and she lied
you plant a goodbye kiss on her cheek before you leave for the trial, when no one is looking
and now your hanging onto the ribbon with the bell as tightly as you can
she lied
with trembling hands, you put it around your neck and fasten it on
and the trial begins
Hoshi:
He warned you.
he warned each and every one of you to not get close to him
yet you still did
how does it feel? To have hoped so hard only to fall into despair ?
Well, you can’t say he didn’t warn you
he’s done bad things in the past, why would he stop now ?
and now your crying
because you should have known better
everyone else did, so why didn’t you?
he asks you this as your sobbing
“B-because I believe in everyone! that includes you!”
Believe?
that’s stupid
“I Know that even the worst of people can change so that’s why-”
“Shut up!”
your’re punched in the face and go down
you feel a searing pain on your head, hot liquid trickles down your face
he just wants you to shut up.
you should be hating him, contorting beneath the despair
but you’re not
because you have hope
you tell him that he can change, you get punched again
and again
and again
he does it over and over
wanting you to hate him
wanting you to say mercy, just once
but you refuse
finally, your not moving
he’s done it
he thinks
and then you move
and now he’s crying
because why
why wont you let him win?
and you refuse to fight back
and he can’t take it
he runs away, like a coward
he’s found the next day, hanging from the ceiling
Toujo:
the first thing she does is apologize.
apologize fore all that she’s done
she just needed to save herself
she needed to return to the place where she has worked hard for everything
she needed to do whatever it took to not get killed
w h a t e v e r i t t o o k
she’s sad yes, because she knows what failure means
and she has failed
and she’s addressing everyone, and she’s not looking in your eye
she’s not the type of person to loose
so she must do everything she can to not loose
she needs to do this, she says
she’s sorry
and she runs away
your following her before you even know whats going on
and now you’ve lost her
no,please no.
You run around, looking in the library, the kitchen, the dormitories.
you can’t find her
finally, Shirogane tells you to take a break
you tell her to fuck off
more searching, more searching
and finally you find her
she’s ditched the maid outfit
it looks as if she;s been waiting for you
“I hope you didn’t have to come.”
and you can’t hold it in any longer
you tell her she doesn’t need to do this, she can survive with everyone
she tells you that it’s impossible, that Monokuma doesn’t like useless pawns
it’s kill or be killed for her
you won’t let her leave
so you call monokuma, after a while you two work out a deal
Toujo lives if you become the traitor
you tell her that she doesn’t need to kill, your going to get her out alive
and maybe it’s because of the time you two have spent together, but she trusts you.
she won’t tell anyone about the new predicament
so you two make up a lie
about how she was being controlled
she has to act completely different now, but only around everyone else
they believe you
you keep her by your side 24/7
your going to make sure she lives. no matter what
even if you have to taint your soul
Amami:
“It was a bit obvious, wasn’t it?”
He was the SHSL ??? After all
he was very much suspicious from the start
and yet, everyone trusted him with open eyes
they even saw how his demeanor would change, how he somehow knew that it wouldn’t be as easy to leave the school
and now he’s the one left standing
you yell why
he investigated with you
you two ate meals together
you had eachother’s backs for the trials
and he’s the traitor?
he... he helped kill everyone?
you just don’t want to believe it.
he tells the remaining students that they’re all going to die
that his ruler will kill them all
people ask him if this ‘ruler’ is Ouma..
he laughs
“ As if someone of that level could ever compare to my ruler!”
He goes on, about how his ruler takes care of all his subjects who do as they are told
they are loved, they get food and drink
he tells them that he was offered the chance to help his ruler with one of their blissful killing games.
and of course he just couldn't say no.
he belongs to his ruler, that’s why he is here in the first place
he looks directly at you
“ Now don’t worry, I don’t intend on killing anyone myself...I just might... help a little bit.”
he’s smiling the same carefree smile
and then you notice that he’s wearing a mask
and the room is starting to get warmer
now your friends are collapsing
and it hurts to breath
and your eyes are on fire
now someone is dragging you
...........................
you wake up in a white room
you cant move
And then a girl is above you
she introduces herself as.... mu...kro?
you can’t really tell, your hearing isn’t really that good
she tells you that you won.
the game ends when 2 people are left standing
you just happened to get lucky and not die until last
Your going be soo happy
it’ll be you and Amami, the great leader has ordered that you two carry on another killing game in another country
you two will be lovers
partners in crime
And you want to object,
Maki, Kiibo... everyone
they’re nobody anymore
you don’t have a choice
You either die a hero, or live to see yourself be the villain
and you were forced to live.
Shirogane:
She denies it, of course
it takes multiple pieces of hard evidence in order to make her confess
and boy is it ever hard
your yelling at her, noticing the holes in her facts adn pointing out when she slips up
it takes both you and Saihara most of the afternoon in the trial room to get a conviction
she’s starting to sweat, and her hair is gradualy getting messier and messier
and she starts pulling at it when you call her out on another thing
it hurts you, to see the person you thought you knew act like this
but you keep going on
pressing further and further
come on, come on
just one more thing
one more and you could crack this entire case
“kaede didn’t see the cloth becasue the body was covering it!”
oh no
it’s over
“Shirogane... how did you know that the body was moved?”
“Isn’t that obvious, the killer stabbed the victim in the back, they would have either fell forward or landed on their side.”
“No. That’s wrong, you can clearly see that there was a hole for the knife to go into, the killer simply had to knock the victim down!”
and then it hits her
shit
she shouldn’t have said that
and now she’s cornered
she snaps in the blink of an eye
her eyes glassy, reflecting a sea-blue spirals in her eyes
“I’ve been found out.”
She’s not talking to anyone, she’s just stating it for herself
she doesn’t say much after that, and the voting goes smoothly
but now you realize the reality of what’s going to happen
Shirogane, knocked students out and took them to the mastermind
she was given protection
a fair trade
but one of her plans went wrong
she did’t even realize what had happened until she had killed them
you sadly don’t feel bad
your sad that your friend is about to die, it hurts you so much
but she tortured you
for hours and hours and hours
you watch as the guillotine comes down on her head.
and then you start to cry.
Ouma:
the SHSL supreme ruler, is a sidekick.
the though by itself is enough to make you laugh
combined with the fact that he is working with the mastermind of the killing game that you’re in, it’s less comforting
people had suspected him of being the mastermind, many many people
and he turns out to just be a traitor
but then as more people died, and everyone grew closer and closer to confronting the mastermind, Ouma began to act strangely
he would have dark circles under his eyes when you saw him
he rarely showed up for the morning meet up in the cafeteria
he looked more panicked
and then it was the final trial
it’s just you, Saihara and kiibo that are still alive when you find out
and instead of laughing in your faces, he starts crying
the room is dead silent
you can’t think straight, the idea alone of Ouma breaking down is enough for tears to start rolling down your face
your gripping the poduim for dear life as saihara says the mastermind’s name in a shaky breath
it’s Kaede
saihara is devastated, of course
and as she pops up in a dramatic entrance and begins ranting on about something to do with hope,Ouma is still sniffling
you can tell by the way he’s shaking that he’s trying his hardest to keep composed
“OI, Shut up will you!”
as Kaede’s voice echos throughout the room, Ouma gives a small wimpier and shuts up
and hell, now you’re angry
because how dare she
you’ve been the one to protect him from the other accusing students, you always held onto that hope that he was a good person all along
and she killed them all
amami, Tenko, Angie, Maki, Kaito, Tsumigi and everyone else
they’re dead because of her
and now your tears are gone
you’re filled to the brim with rage
and you ask her why? Why would you do this?
she tells it all,she did it because she likes too
and Ouma?
he’s her slave
Ouma goes rigid at her words, you can see he’s scared
you don’t want to believe it, but Kaede has evidence
and then she talks about her talent
she’s not really the SHSL pianist
she’s got Ouma’s talent, she just let him ‘borrow’ it
Ouma is the SHSL slave
no no no no no
you don’t want to even think about that
“Ouma, take off your scarf.”
he has to, he has no choice
and sure enough, there’s a collar there.
it’s not one of those old fashion ones, it resembles a shock collar
there’s red welts and purple bruises where it’s been pulled at
you want o cry out as Ouma begins to shake, because you just wanted to protect everyone, and you failed
Saihara and Kiibo have to both work against the mastermind, but you know it’s pointless
you are all found guilty for a non-existent murder
Ouma saying sorry over and over and over
but what’s the point
this game was meant to kill everyone
you’re sitting under a crusher when Ouma locks eyes with you
eyes full of fear and pain and the wright of the world in those deep orbs
“I tried.”
the press comes down in a quick motion
and you don’t realize anything
