Today I learned that one of my #favorite and most #influential #musicians, #NeilInnes, had passed suddenly yesterday. Not gonna lie, it was a big shock! I've said it before, but Neil's music was very important to me when I was starting out. He proved it was possible to make both funny songs and serious songs and still be taken seriously in aspects. The man had a knack for writing hooky things and humorous bits too. I've always said you should listen to Neil Innes, and today might be the best day to do so.
