Nerd? YOU WILL REFRAIN FROM SUCH UNSCIENTIFIC TERMINOLOGY IN MY PRESENCE.

Lisa respected that S/O could actually hold an intelligent conversation that didn't devolve into something insane, like with Alice.

They could actually speak about their inventions, while mostly theoretical, could be made with current technology, and understandable enough for her.

Such as a machine that could clean the room by itself! Something that Lisa desperately wanted.

And seeing how excited they were to showcase a new prototype to her, Lisa can't help but admire their enthusiasm.

(Lisa) "S/O, what's this one called?"

(S/O) "Well, its actual name is the RX-03 Cleaner, but I just nicknamed it the Wiper."

(Lisa) "...But it doesn't wipe anything down, it just sweeps."

(S/O) sigh "Listen, names aren't exactly the most important thing for a machine."

Lisa teases S/O to make a machine that could clean and organize the books in the library for her, but S/O refuses to make Lisa somehow even lazier than before.

Sucrose was glad to have someone who could understand what she was talking about almost completely.

It put her at ease to just speak about experiments and concoctions without being given a strange look and actually getting a proper response.

Especially since it was with someone she loved, without worry of boring her S/O to death with the minute details of her experiment.

(Sucrose) "Hm...Do you feel any adverse side effects?"

(S/O) "Nothing seems to be different in response. I'll write it down for you in the log."

(Sucrose) "Hm...Perhaps we need to increase the strength of the mixture?"

Her usual shyness and hesitance is almost gone. As helpful and patient as Albedo was, it was nice to have someone on the same level of her, at the very least.

Ayaka appreciated how different S/O was compared to most people she had met in Inazuma.

They weren't afraid to show their interests or their intelligence.

Granted, Ayaka had no idea what her S/O was going on about sometimes until they had to dumb their explanations down.

But she still wanted to learn, because it was something S/O cared about, and at the very least, she'll make an effort to be engaged!

(Ayaka) "And these fossils are...What did you call them again?"

(S/O) "Part of the megafauna that used to live in Tevyat!...At least I think they are. They predate the Archon-War, and even this skull is the size of a house! But to answer your question, they were Alces."

Ayaka leaned in with a glint in her eye, looking at the skull.

(Ayaka) "I see. Do we know anything else about these creatures?"

She didn't always follow S/O, but Ayaka still loved to hear S/O speak, hearing how energetic they were in their findings.

Archons knows how liberating it is to finally speak about things that you love, and she wouldn't deny the person she loved that ability.

Truthfully, Kokomi could appreciate that S/O was as much of a bookworm as she was.

Perhaps even moreso, considering how often their eyes were locked onto the pages, brows furrowed in that cute way that Kokomi loved as they read.

Whether it be fiction, educational experiments, or even random pieces of literature, they read it with the upmost attention.

Which meant plenty of fun conversations with S/O about the stories they read.

(S/O) "It doesn't make any sense! Why in the world would the author write the character that way when it literally goes against everything that was established earlier?!"

(Kokomi) "Hah, it won't be the last time we see something like that, dear."

It did feel nice to hold an intelligent conversation instead of it usually veering off into something weird, like with Miko's book recommendations.

Though calling them "stories" was a bit kind, sometimes.

Inuyasha has worked as a cowboy his entire life. It's the only work a half-demon like him can get, and he's good at it. He soon finds himself showing off for the annoyingly-beautiful heiress that rides around the ranch on her expensive show horse, spreading her delicious scent over the wind and driving him completely insane.

As the two of them grow closer, a threat slowly begins to grow just beyond the borders of the ranch. She and Inuyasha work together to do what they can to preserve their way of life against Naraku, a real-estate developer who is hell bent on driving Kagome's family away and not above bending the law to do so.

Ophelia: Of course! Anyone who's been on the internet ever has heard of Penny Pizzazz!

Penny: I appreciate the flattery, darling, but I actually wanted to talk about you. I'm assuming you saw my blog post where I announced I recently got engaged.

Ophelia: Yeah! Congratulations to you and Miko!

Penny: Thank you. We're beyond excited. We were actually just looking into a place to have the wedding at in Tartosa. The couple that runs the wedding venue we were touring mentioned your name. Hector and Hilary Laurent?

Ophelia: The Laurents? Oh yeah, they've seen me perform at my night job at the Blue Velvet a couple of times. They said they might be interested in having me join their in-house wedding band but they don't have any openings.

Penny: Well they might just have to make one.

Penny: We listened to their current singers. They're perfectly fine. Very professional, polished. Now, clearly, you can tell I like things that stand out a little more. That's where you come in. We told the Laurents we weren't feeling the music and might shop around for other options. That's when they told us about you. You're making quite the name for yourself, aren't you, Miss Notable Newcomer?

Ophelia: Wait, you want ME to sing at your wedding? I'm sorry, I don't understand. Not that I don't appreciate being considered, but couldn't you have like... a real celebrity sing for you?

Penny: You're damn right I could but that's not how Penny Pizzazz rolls. When I was a measly media intern, getting coffee and picking up dry cleaning, I begged for people to see my potential but no one did. There's something about you, I can tell you're a go-getter like me. I'm always looking for something fresh, fun, and baby, that's you.

Ophelia: Wow, I don't know what to say. Thank you would be a good place to start.

Penny: Don't thank me, girl. This isn't a charity case. You've got some raw talent. Who knows? Maybe someday I'll get to tell people the world-famous Ophelia Lemon sang at my wedding. Now, this isn't a done deal. My fiancée's shift ends soon. She wanted to listen to you as well, but trust me, I'm a much harder nut to crack than her. If she agrees, I'll let the Laurents know we want you at our wedding. Trust me, they'll find a way to make it happen.

Penny was right, Miko stopped by not long after Ophelia got back on stage to sing a few more songs. She seems pleased with what she's hearing!

After finishing the next set, the girls sit down to chat.

Miko: It's such a funny story, actually. I was in charge of setting up the yearly fashion show fundraiser for No Sim Left Behind, but my boss has coordinated everything with the celebrity emcee so I had no idea who it was.

Penny: It was me. When I showed up, she thought I was a volunteer and put me to work setting up chairs!

Ophelia: OMW!

Miko: Sorry I'm not chronically online! You didn't even tell me. You just started setting up chairs. My boss had a fit when she saw me giving you orders!

Penny: You looked like you needed help and I had two perfectly good hands! Besides, I liked that you didn't step on eggshells with me. Even after you found out who I was, you were embarrassed, but you didn't treat me like Penny Pizzazz. You treated me like Penny.

Penny: What did you think of her, sweetie? You have the final say.

not home rn but i miss my cat

literally left this morning and im coming back tomorrow so its only a day but. saw relatives and met a bunch of animals and it was nice they were all very sweet but i miss mine

idk i just. the bond we have is like.. special? to me it is. shes the most important thing in the whole world to me, i live for her. i know also like???

it's an interesting overlay, between owning a pet and having BPD. i think having a pet as an FP is just so much better. no complex human emotions and connections. ill never really feel betrayed or abandoned cuz she's just a cat, she wouldn't do anything to HURT me, y'know? so even if i do feel momentarily hurt by something, it goes away cuz i know better

plus she's just not like my other pets. even our other cats. like no disrespect, love them but they just feel real cat-ish. Miko is more than that. she just likes to spend time and be real close, i read her better than i can read people. shes everything to me

i always get horribly homesick when im away from her, it's like leaving a part of myself home. any trips we take are BITTERSWEET cuz i might be having fun but nothing compares to cuddling up with her in bed, just knowing shes there waiting for me hurts so bad

admittedly it's a bit of a sore spot. before i came to live with my mom, Miko belonged to my older sister. my sister can't read animals to save her life, she's left 2 cats with us and fucked off. gets them cuz she thinks she wants them and moves on

they found miko in a parking lot, seemed like she was abandoned by her mom. and then she was abandoned by my sister, not like. EXTREMELY cuz obviously the other people in the house took care of her but Knowing she was just.. alone all the time.

knowing she could be lonely makes me so sad, i never want her to feel abandoned ever again. my family says i think too much, but i can't help it. I love her so much it hurts, i miss her a lot. i just hope she knows id never leave her behind, i wish she could understand me when i tell her she's the prettiest girl in the whole world, when i tell her how much i love her

i feel so lucky that she's so affectionate with me. shes not with anyone else, just me. it makes me feel so special, guhhhh

What They Do When They’re Smitten | Genshin Edition

a/n: i swear everyone’s done one of these sorts of hcs for genshin but me so i’m doing them. lol miko’s included but this’ll probably be the last time i write for her pre!release since i’m only writing her based on information we presently know instead hcs/fanon.. anyway, these were fun to write. reblogs appreciated!

yun jin: normally, it’s absolutely forbidden for an outsider to watch the rehearsals of the yun-han opera troupe. you, however, are sir yun’s sole exception. when smitten, yun jin personally allows you to watch the troupe’s rehearsals and tells you about the operas she is writing and asks for your opinion and any stories you’ve heard that you’d like to be adapted into operatic form. the elders of the troupe had their reservations but it does seem like their little yun jin performs better when you’re their audience, so they don’t mind much anymore

shenhe: the most inept at romance, she doesn’t understand flirting at all. but shenhe is fond of you, she takes you to the mountains to see the starry sky without the light pollution you’ll find in cities. she loves to see your eyes light up at their natural beauty and she tells you the stories of the constellations she learned from cloud retainer, hoping you’ll find them as fascinating as she did when she was a child. her first gift for you is a protective talisman she made to protect you from dangers on your adventures

miko: you’re one of the rare few allowed to read the unpublished works of the yae publishing house, especially if it’s a book that she knows you’d be interested in. she still teases you, of course, but there’s more fondness in her eyes than amusement. miko has made a joke or two about you working at the publishing house or becoming a shrine maiden, but it’s only partially a joke. miko truly would like to see you more since she’s normally so busy, working in the same field would just be very convenient

kokomi: likes being alone with you when kokomi is crushing on you. you’re allowed to know where her secret hideout is and enjoys when you show up, a drink and her favorite snack in hand to perk her up. it’s a comfortable silence of being together, no talking but warm glances. sometimes she’ll be asleep while you read one of her many confusing war strategy books, other times she’ll ask you to read a book with her. the most suspicious thing about it, however, is rather than a war stratagem, it’s a novel more your speed with action and romance 

thoma: a smitten thoma is very guilty of knitting things for you, even if it’s still war. and if it’s too warm to use knitted goods as presents, thoma enjoys doing things for you. low on fruits at home? thoma brings you a basket of them, freshly handpicked. someone bothering you? thoma politely asks them to leave you alone but he will use. he even asks kozue to be more polite to you instead of being curt and abrasive. even if it’s subtle, thoma likes making you feel reassured and comfortable in your daily life, even if you don’t notice

albedo: more than once has albedo sketched a photo of you in his sketchbook and he is very careful to keep said sketches separate from his alchemy notes to avoid them being discovered by his students. he’s occasionally asked for your help conducting experiments, but he’d prefer to keep work and spending time with you separate. as such, when the urge to see you becomes too distracting to focus on his alchemical research, albedo will descend from the mountains of dragonspine to visit you

childe: honestly so annoying. if you’re a fighter, he challenges you to sparring matches, crowing about his strength. if you aren’t, he isn’t humble at all as he tells you about his strength and how you can rely on him in a pinch. but he isn’t all play, he enjoys buying things that remind him of you and gifting you them later and on cool nights when he stops by your home, he cooks snezhnayan comfort food and tells you a few stories about his hometown and family. his jokes and teasing often leave you confused due to his status as a harbinger, but you aren’t entirely convinced he’s a bad guy

Gorou confronts Yae Miko with the possibility of ending his popular 'That's Life' column in Yae's newspapers. Yae Miko uses any and all tactics to make sure her bestselling magazine doesn't leave her publishing house.

  The bustling Inazuman crowd weaved around a military general in a busy shopping district. The decorated general strode to Yae Miko’s publishing house on official business. Normally, the general would never be caught dead near the stand with a certain cardboard cutout so close to his likeness. Well, it was that certain cutout that was the reason for him being here today. 

 The wind blowing in from the East ruffled his signature light brown tail and ears; skittering cherry blossoms across the cobblestones. With a determined breath, Gorou walked to the publishing stand on a mission. 

 “Come one, come all! We got the best light novels on the shelves! These light novels are the most popular titles on the market right now! Buy one, get another 10% off! That’s right folks, 10%! You won’t wanna miss this!” The dedicated salesman wove his hands in the air to grab the attention of the Inazuman people. However, Gorou stood in his way of the commuting people. 

 The salesman abruptly cut off his announcement and looked down at Gorou. Most of the general’s height was held in his ear’s length. “Oh, General Gorou! What a pleasure to see you again. I assume you’re here to see Lady Miko?” Gorou nodded once as the salesman directed Gorou to the back of the publishing house, leaving the abhorrent cardboard cutout and the salesman behind. 

 “Lady Yae? Where are you?” Gorou asked the darkness, until his eyes adjusted to the dim candlelight. The general lifted a stray sash of purple silk out of his face and ducked into the spacious alcove. 

 The hidden nook behind the publishing stand was generous in its size and lavishly decorated. Swathes of rich fabric lined the ceiling and plush rugs lined the floor. Golden accents glinted in the candlelight, while mirrors and ornate framework accented the walls. Gorou could tell a lot of the planning for this publishing house went into this little hideaway for Yae Miko. 

 “Lady Miko? Uh, I came here to discuss-” Gorou suddenly felt a presence behind him. He whirled around to see what it was; his ears twitching listening for sound. He was met with nothing. 

 “Why Gorou-” Gorou jumped and turned around once more; the expensive mahogany table that was once empty now sat the prestigious Lady Yae Miko. “You look as if you’ve seen a ghost. Whatever is the matter?” Yae Miko had a knowing smile on her face. Gorou clenched his fist as he kept his composure. Gorou knew Lady Yae liked to play pranks to entertain herself, even in times of seriousness. 

 “Lady Yae, I have important business to discuss with you. If I could please-” 

 “But of course. Have a seat, general.” Yae Miko offered him the chair directly across from her. Gorou swallowed his words from being interrupted and took his seat. 

 Yae Miko poured herself some tea while her serval fox spirit offered a tray of tea snacks from a far table. “Tea? Three sugars right? For that sweet tooth of yours. There’s also cake, cucumber sandwiches, and finger food imported from Liyue-” 

 Now Gorou interrupted the priestess. “Lady Miko, this is urgent. I appreciate your hospitality, but I must discuss this as soon as possible.” Urgency glinted in the generals eyes like a lighter. Yae Miko did not like getting interrupted. At all. 

 The priestess’ face darkened as she selected a cucumber sandwich from the three-tiered snack display, and forced a natural smile on her face as she looked up at him. 

 “Of course. Generals have no time for tea, especially in this war. How may I be of service?” Lady Yae picked up her teacup and sipped it delicately while Gorou collected himself. 

 Gorou braced himself as he sat up straight in his chair. He didn’t know how Lady Yae would react to this information, but it still needed to be done. The general braced himself, and just blurted it out. 

 “Lady Miko, I need to end my ‘That’s Life’ column in your newspapers. This war is getting too serious for me to be living two separate identities at once. Between watching over my men, keeping up with Lady Kokomi and her daily needs, and the fact that the Tenryou Commission is set to strike any day now, I need all my focus in one place. I understand you may not accept this at first but-” Yae Miko set her teacup down with a clatter and looked at the general with contempt. 

 “That is entirely unacceptable. My newspapers are bestselling due to that column alone, and without them I’ll have to actually compete. Your column and Lady Hina charade is carrying this business! Who knows how long the war is going to last, and how long after it until you can return?” Gorou’s tail started swishing with conflicting feelings. The general took the tail in his hands underneath the table to not have it be a distraction. 

 Yae Miko softened from his reaction. The priestess stood up from her chair, sitting in the leftmost one from Gorou and took his gloved hand. “...General Gorou, you’re right. This war is indeed getting serious. The people of Inazuma are quite frightened, and rightfully so. This war has taken many things from them, including their capacity for entertainment and relaxation.” Gorou looked up to Yae Miko’s expression; her violet eyes luminate with truth. 

 “This news column is never wavering. Such a small reminder of what Inazuma used to be, and what it can become. With this column, people of all ages have something to look forward to, a distraction from the war. We can’t afford to take that away from them.” Yae Miko persuaded, but Gorou had his mind made up already. There was no way he could balance everything at once. 

 “I’m truly sorry, Lady Miko. There’s no way I can keep up with the war effort and this double life. My mind is made up, I can’t be convinced.” Gorou looked determined to his answer. However, a lightbulb sparked above Yae Miko’s head with an idea. The priestess smirked and took one look at Gorou’s bare tummy to know this plan would work well. 

 “Oh please general, don’t be sorry. I know how hard it is to make life-altering decisions-” Yae Miko’s serval fox spirit wove past the ornate furniture and rounded Gorou’s body. The purple spirit wrapped itself around the general’s arms and secured them to his sides, while trapping him in the chair he was sitting in. Gorou looked around wildly and started struggling. 

 “-Which is why you’re not going to make any decision at all. Hopefully a bit of tickling will convince you to discard your ideas and stay with the company.” Gorou looked up frantically into Yae Miko’s eyes to see they were very serious. 

 “L-Lady Miko! P-Plehehease!” Gorou giggled lightly at the priestess’ wiggling fingers in his side. Having such light armor exposing plenty of skin might be something he’d have to reconsider. The general’s ears went flat against his head as his own laughter rang in them. 

 “You see Gorou, the Inazuman people have a demand for normalcy in these trying times. What the people want is your news column. Yae Publishing House has been on the forefront of all trends and best-selling light novels.” Yae Miko leaned into Gorou’s ear to whisper into it. “And I intend to stay on top.” 

 With a forced smile on his face, Gorou tried hiding his ear in his shoulder. The whispers were too much. However, they were too far away to hide. 

 “Mihihiss Yahahae I cahahan’t! I’m tohohohoo bus-ehehehee!” The general tried keeping his composure, as a general should, but Yae Miko’s creeping fingers all over his tummy did not help. Yae Miko’s fox spirit was able to keep Gorou bound to the chair while her fingers could phase through the spirit’s form and tickle the general. Quite peculiar. 

 “Mmm, seems you had enough time to come to my place of work and tell me you wish to separate from the company, instead of working on a new column for the newspaper. I’d say you have enough time, you’re just misusing it. Clearly.” Yae Miko squeezed up and down Gorou’s sides with renewed vigor, which made the doggy general squeal and struggle against the priestess’ fingers. 

 “Gahahahad! Mihihihihiss Mihihihiko! Plehehehease!” Gorou’s tail swung and shook with the invasive tickles. Despite him not necessarily liking the tickles, his brain still discerned the tickles as a happy feeling. 

 “Please what? Spare you? After what you’re trying to pull? That’s kind of rich, don’t you think? Maybe if you were to reconsider your decisions, I would think about it.” Yae Miko lightened her tickling to ghostly traces against the general’s sides, which made him twitch and giggle lightly. 

 “I-heehee- I cahahan’t- thehe wahahar is tohoo muhuch- YAEHEHEHEE!” Gorou squealed and twisted in his chair. Yae Miko had taken her spidering fingers and started scribbling them in Gorou’s squished tummy. With the general’s sitting position, his tummy was slightly squished and pudged out, which was perfect for scribbles and light pinches. 

 “Hmmm... then unfortunately, I can’t let you go. I’m afraid the war will have to go on without you. Have you considered that? I’m sure there’s plenty capable people who can take your place as general, don’t you think?” Gorou could barely comprehend the priestess’ words; his laughing reverberating in his ears. Yae Miko’s fingers tickled up the length of Gorou’s bare back, which made the general squeak and wiggle in his chair. 

 “On the other hand, no one could possibly replace you as Lady Hina. Your quips, heartfelt advice, perfect timing, and relatability, all measure up to an immeasurable character that I crafted flawlessly. Inazumans can never get enough of what Lady Hina has to say. They pore over her columns tirelessly. And with that, they will notice the shift in her writing tactics if I ever had to switch authors. Instead of going through all that work, why not just do yourself a favor and stay?” Yae Miko pondered. 

 Of course Gorou couldn’t answer, he was too busy snorting as the fingers in his neck. “Yaehee- Plehehease- I... this war needs mehe-” Yae Miko set her hands on Gorou’s shoulders to let him actually catch his breath and speak. Gorou’s mind settled for a moment, before he collected himself. 

 “With how the management for the war is divided, what with rank, ability, and availability, there’s no conceivable way I can continue this column. I have too much on my plate and to be fair, I don’t really wanna be associated with Lady Hina anymore anYWAY- NOHOHO WAHAHAIT!!” 

 Gorou let out a shriek as Yae Miko started pinching his hips through the material of his pants. She tsked lightly as her fingers made quick work of his hip divets. 

 “Nice try general, you almost had me. I was starting to feel a little sympathy for your situation. But unfortunately for you, you just blew your last chance. So either you reconsider your decision to leave Yae Publishing House, or you never leave this chair. What will it be, hmm?” Now, to a person in a normal situation, they could tell that there was no way someone could never leave a situation per-say. But knowing Yae Miko and what she was capable of, and being tickled into coercion right now, Gorou’s muddled brain was starting to panic. 

 “Yahahae plehehehease!! I’m behehegging! Stohohop!!” Gorou yelped at the digging fingers on the back of his bare tricep. His armpits were a bad spot, and the attempt at trying to get into them while they were pinned to his sides were driving him up the wall. 

 There’s no way he could call for help; outside the Yae Publishing House was incredibly large crowds and foot traffic. They’d never hear the pleas of a single person over the noises of a thousand. And since Gorou was pinned, he couldn’t call for help on a communication device. He was starting to feel trapped. 

 “Come along general, I don’t have all day you know. You should be thanking me for being so dedicated towards you keeping your well-paying job. Most bosses look for excuses to clean out their staff every other week. Besides, my fingers are getting tired. We all know the answer you’re gonna give me, so why not just say it already~” Yae Miko whispered into his ears again, making the general want to crawl in a hole and hide forever. 

 “Okahahay! Okahahay! I’ll reconsihihider!! I prohohomise!!” Gorou blurted out. Yae Miko ceased her tickling and had her fox spirit set him free. 

 “Oh, perfect! I’m so glad you came around afterall, general. I’m very impressed with your endurance, as well. If you would have just held out for about ten more seconds, I was ready to set you free!” Yae Miko’s sickeningly sweet voice made Gorou growl internally. 

 “Now on the subject of your news column, I actually wanted to discuss the terms of your contract. It needs updating, seeing as you’re at the end of your term.” Yae Miko’s serval fox spirit brought forth a piece of paper as Gorou held a hand to his chest and caught his breath. 

 “Here. Create your writing schedule in compliance with your work schedule as the general and sign your contract. Even if you can only spare an hour some days, you’ll still be compensated.” Gorou looked over the paperwork, but looked up to Yae Miko at her words. 

 “Miss Miko, I-” 

 “I know this war is hard on you and the people around you. You’re not a machine, you deserve space. Whatever you can give towards Yae Publishing House and your column, you’ll be rewarded.” The priestess offered a genuine smile towards the general. However, he still looked confused. 

 “Wait a minute, why did you tickle me if you had this answer planned from the start? You could have given me this suggestion a LONG time ago..” Gorou had an inquisitive look as Yae Miko simply shrugged her shoulders. 

 “Well, I do things for many reasons, mostly unnamed. When you walked in, the first thing I saw was just how much the war was weighing on your shoulders. So I thought you could lighten up a little.” Yae Miko looked pleased, while Gorou scoffed and wrote down his current work schedule.

 Gorou bid Yae Miko and the salesman at the front goodbye, and walked a little aways from the store to look over the water. Thinking back to being in that chair with Yae Miko’s tickling fingers, Gorou’s tail started to wag. The general blushed tremendously as he reached behind him and put a stop to it immediately.

My thoughts on Episode 5--Out of the Ashes.

Okay, though.  I’m already excited about this one because Carol and Lydia are on the little guide picture thingy, lol.  My girls.  

As usual, I’m going to put the rest underneath a cut to save you lovelies potentially being spoiled should you not want to be.  

Wow.  Look at that full moon.  And the colors in the woods.  

I’m telling you.  These cold opening scenes have been generally pretty awesome this season.  

Aaron with Gracie always gives us such sweetness but this time maybe not.  

Omigosh.  Now *that* is a nightmare--the Walkers, the Wolves, the Saviors, the Whisperers, Mays.  Did I miss anybody?  And then Gracie gone just like that?  Poor Aaron.  All he wants is to keep his little girl safe and happy.  

So.  Is Gracie sleeping right next to her daddy because she had a nightmare or because her daddy’s been having them?  Because either way, oh my freaking heart.  Especially at her still sleeping with her stuffed bunny.  I’m really, really hoping that bunny isn’t a bad omen of sorts for our Gracie, because little girls with bunnies haven’t fared all that well--going all the way back to the first episode and as recently as the subway episode where Daryl found that picture of the two siblings after they’d already found the bunny from the picture amongst the bodies.  Please not Gracie.  Aaron has already been through so much.  

Are they all just communing together now?  Because I can see how that would harken back to Season 4.  

Jerry!  Not even 3 minutes in and already two of my faves are present.  I can tell this is going to be a good episode.  

That really sucks.  Not even being able to take a peaceful piss because you can see Walkers shambling past your window, lol.  

There goes my queen running straight at danger as real queens are apt to do.  ;)  

Were there always lights coming on in the windmill during the opening credits or is that a new thing for this episode?  

That orientation video was so surreal.  Had to laugh at the political touch of having “this message is approved by Pamela Milton” at the end.  

Okay.  So they’re getting their work assignments, huh?  Orientations are the worst, lol.  All that damn paperwork.  

Retail clerk--Princess being excited at the prospect of working in a mall, even having a mall again, has me LMAO even as I’m like girl.  No.  You’ll love it ‘til you hate it.  

I didn’t catch Eugene’s job.  But Ezekiel doing animal control kind of cracks me up.  For reasons.  

So.  Essentially Eugene and Princess and Ezekiel got blue collar jobs while Yumiko’s got an invitation to join the upper crust.  

I love Lydia being accepted as part of the community.  About damn time.  

For a second I thought Rosita said what’s left of the horses plural and I was fixin’ to go OH NO.  

This is where I’m at on the Maggie/Negan issue, for better or worse:  Maggie absolutely, IMHO, has earned the right to stay mad at Negan for the rest of her days.  Because Glenn.  Because her little boy was robbed of his daddy.  That said?  I don’t think I have it in me to watch 5 more episodes of this beaten horse antagonistic conversation much less a whole season.  It would be one thing if it hadn’t already stolen valuable and earned screen time from other characters that seem to have been pushed to the periphery to spotlight it like it was the marquee event or something.  I don’t want want 2/3′s of the final season so heavily focused on the conflict between these two when there are so many characters that are already woefully underutilized.  It’s only compelling if it doesn’t become commonplace.  

It’s a sad business having to put down people you know, I’d expect.  Funny, though.  We never knew them so the impact is kind of artificial.  I appreciate the intent of the scene, though.  

Where the hell are all the Walkers coming from?  Like, I thought most of them went skydiving off that cliff without parachutes.  

Judith training the other babies.  If only her parents--every damn one of them--could see her now.  

Gus!  How cool and awesome for him!

ASZ is just full of asshole teens isn’t it?  How dare that little dipshit push our Asskicker down like that and say such hateful things?  To be fair, though, the kid is probably just repeating what he’s heard from others and I’m glad they’re being realistic here even if I don’t like seeing Judith cry.  

Cailey Fleming’s expressive face and eyes!  This kid has my heart, ya’ll.  

That perfectly pretty cake wasted!  LMAO.  Seriously though.  How does a cardiothoracic surgeon end up assigned to work in the bakery?  Yumiko’s reunion with her brother Tomi honestly was on par with what I’d expect from someone seeing the sister they’d long given up as dead.  

Freaky still how the Whisperers choose to herd the dead even without Beta and Alpha.  

Was that the real Stephanie in the scene with the ice cream?  Right under Eugene’s nose while he’s with Fake Stephanie?  They have a connection, ya’ll.  Eugene felt it.  

Okay, though.  I wanted the kids having their first ice cream cones.  If I were Eugene, though, I probably would have inhaled that thing after being deprived for so long.  

The Milton Hotel?  Alrighty then.  Somebody feels self-important.  

Aww.  Eugene’s thinking of Rosita and Coco.  They really have evolved into such a sweet, good friendship and I miss them together.  

Literally, I love Princess more each time I see her and hear her open her hilarious mouth.  LOL at her with the ice cream cone.

Aww.  My heart.  A Rosita/Judith scene.  I’m already loving it but not gonna lie.  Who do we have topay to get a Carol/Judith scene because she’s been there since Judith was an embryo?  

“Now it’s broken.  He’s gone.  Everybody is.”  The way this scene is unexpectedly gutting me right now.  Because Rosita’s right.  It never really gets easier.  It’s just something you figure out how to carry.  How many people devastated by Covid or other illness or tragedy are carrying these same feelings of loss and hurt everyday?  

Give us more of those heartfelt moments, dammit.  This girl at least craves them.  Not the endless Maggie/Negan conflict.  

Ouch.  “I think I haven’t met a Whisperer who wasn’t a liar.”  Damn Aaron.  Lydia’s right there beside you. 

Angry Jerry hurts my heart in ways I cannot explain.  

On a completely shallow note, Miko’s brother is attractive too.  I quite like his accent, lol.  I wonder why he’s so hesitant to put his skills as a surgeon to use.  

“Want some cake?”/”Hell, yes.”  Yumiko=me 99% of the time.  LOL.  Just kidding.  In reality, I have to say no.  

“They clearly got a gym in this joint.  Your chiseling is perfecto.”  LMAO.  I’m all for Princess/Mercer.  She flusters him a little and I’m loving it.  When she told him he had beautiful eyelashes, I howled.  

Oh my sweet Aaron.  I’m in the same kind of pain and disbelief as Lydia watching you interrogate that Whisperer.  

Thank you, Carol.  Melissa McBride?  I effing LOVE you.  My heart hurts.  

I’m sure she’s gonna get hate from the usual crowd while they cheer Aaron further along his dark and desperate path.  Yes.  Ya’ll are *that* predictable.  

But Maggie, though?  How long you gonna wait?  Because you gonna be waiting on Daryl’s ass a long time.  

“Cheesy video guy.” LOL.  Leave it to Princess.  Somehow that Lance dude looks even cheesier in RL.

Ohh.  Next episode actually looks interesting.  Thank goodness it’s not a bottle episode strictly focusing on Virgil/Connie though because no matter how much I like Connie/Lauren?  I don’t think whatever story she’s stuck in with Virgil is enough to keep me riveted to the tv.  

Overall impression of this episode--again, I enjoyed it.  Aaron’s dream was dark AF.  Hell.  Aaron was dark AF in this episode.  Ross Marquand did some really strong work and I’m glad he finally got a moment to shine even though I hate seeing him leaning into the darkness instead of his inherent goodness.  Judith and Rosita’s scenes were touching.  Carol/Melissa made me bawl in the span of two minutes.  That’s why she’s the MVP of this show, lovelies.  She does so very much with so little.  I’m just glad we didn’t have to see Leah and her band of bitchass brothers this episode.  

I’m going to miss this show when it’s gone.  At least I’ll have the Carol and Daryl spinoff off to ease my heartache.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? If you’ve read my work, you know I’m not big on sad endings. I prefer happy ones, mostly because life is draining enough as it is. But in terms of fic endings, if I had to pick one, I’d say: Before the Dawn.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending? This is a tough one. I guess it depends on how you define ‘happiest’. If you categorize it by the fluffiest (it’s all about the feel-good vibes 🥰 ), then I’d have to go with Melt or First Words for the SessKag fandom and Sight Unseen for the Reylo fandom.

Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written? Yes. I’m not sure if it’s the craziest one, but the one I’m most proud of is Happenstance which is my Inuyasha/Harry Potter crossover, featuring SessKag. I put a lot of research into it to meld the worlds together without compromising what makes each fandom so special to me. It’s definitely the fic that I’m most proud of writing.

Have you ever received hate on a fic? Yep, a lot of people think Reylo is a toxic relationship. And there are those who have strong feelings about SessKag too. Some have commented to me about the fact that Yashahime is canon and SessKag is dead....which makes me laugh but whatever helps you sleep at night.

Do you write smut? If so what kind? I have but lately it’s been a struggle. I focus more on intimacy (in whatever form that takes depending on the pace of the story).

Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I’m aware of...

Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes, a few have been translated into Spanish and Russian.

Have you ever co-written a fic before? Waaaaaaay back in the FFnet days, a friend and I co-wrote a fic together but between our RL schedules we never finished. I actually don’t even know if it’s still posted since it was under her account.

What’s your all time favorite ship? That’s another tough one. TRoS really burned me and my love of Star Wars has suffered for it.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? Of Scales & Sky. I was so excited about this fic but my motivation has died from all the discourse in the fandom and the on-going saga of bad decisions Disney makes in regards to the SW franchise.

What are your writing strengths? Characterization is very important to me. Even if I’m putting the characters is a very non-canon premise, I want them to remain as in-character as possible.

What are your writing weaknesses? Finding the time to write. 🥲 This year has been particularly chaotic for me for several reasons.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? I did write some Japanese when I re-entered the SessKag fandom with Silver & Gold. I had one very adamant reviewer who kept DM-ing me that I sounded stupid and should stop. It was very discouraging. After asking around in the fandom, other writers suggested doing what I wanted but if I’m writing in English, the primary language should remain English.

What was the first fandom you wrote for? Labyrinth. When I was 13, my friend and I used to go to her house after school, sit on separate couches across from each other on our separate laptops, and write fanfiction. (*smiles* those were great times!) I often wrote in my notebooks (instead of taking notes in class) and was constantly posting on FFnet. But I also never finished anything because I was constantly distracted by other things.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written? That’s like asking which child is my most favorite. 😂🤣😂 Happenstance is the fic that I’m most proud of. I feel like as a writer, it was the most challenging for me because of the continuity of the story line with the element of mystery. Shadow Song was written on a whim and quickly became one of my favorites and then there is Sanguis Sanguinem Meum which flowed so naturally that I wrote the entire thing in a couple of months.

But the most important thing is that I could be present in some way and starting my own journey with InuKag fics with this one^^ FYI, English is not my first language so be patient, I’m doing my best and count to improve even more. I tag @inukag-week and @clearwillow for the interest she showed in this project. Here we go! 

Never Let You Go

She couldn't help the drop in her stomach when the ground started to crumble under her feet, making her feel helpless and desperate... She tried, with a final effort, to grab onto his suikan sleeve but it seemed already out of reach. A sudden roar made her blood ran cold and a chocked yell escaped her mouth:

«No!»

Kagome wide opened her eyes in a snap, her forehead covered in sweat, gasping for breath. It was just a thunder. A thunder woke her up from a stupid nightmare. The rain was pouring outside and the wooden roof of their hut  was victim of that relentless shower.

The young miko-in -training took a deep breath. Yes. Their hut, their home. She was exactly where she wanted to be, togheter with Inuyasha, her well-loved Inuyasha, 500 years in the past. There was nothing to be afraid of. She could feel his left arm around her shoulders holding her tight against his torso, so the raven-haired girl moved away a little in the attempt to catch the hanyou's features, already picturing them in the deep slumber he still was in enveloped in their marital futon blankets.

She had to admit  she oh-so-loved these little intimate moments when she was surrounded by his warmth and there was no need for words to explain what they meant for each other. All Kagome always wanted was just stay with him, be by his side, from the very moment she realized it she pursued her decision whole heartedly, fully aware of she was getting into with all the complications, even when the uncertainty and fear could take over...  Because, after all, she felt that their bond, actually, was stronger than any struggle. She believed in him, in his heart. She believed in them two. In the meaningfulness of the journey they had togheter. Even when there could be no more chance to see each other again, she didn't give up hope.

A flash of lighting ripped off the gloom for a moment and its gleam reached Inuyasha's face too, revealing his relaxed and peaceful expression. Kagome laid a hand on his cheeck and stroked it softly. Seeing Inuyasha so in peace with himself always filled her with an unspeakable joy. It had been so hard for him learn to let his guard down, feeling safe, free from anything that could hunt him.

The first time she witnessed his face like that was in her time, in the home where she growed up, blissfully asleep on her bed. Kagome had to study that night for a test she needed to attend the next day and she would really appreciate getting some rest but she didn't have the heart to woke him up. It was a complete display of trust from him, so used to not show any vulnerability, so all the girl wanted was that he could enjoy that moment as long as possible. Finally, after three years of forced separation, they achieved to regain what they had lost so abruptly, but with something more. Inuyasha, indeed, got used to wear only his white hadagi while alone with her in their home and  that was what he wearing in that moment. Kagome snuggled more against his athletic chest and closed her eyes, lulled by the steady breath of her hanyou, when a soft smile graced her features.

And now, look. Husband and wife. Kagome lingered in Inuyasha's warmth, letting  his intense scent fill her lungs.

She would loved to have that scent all over her body... That thought made her chocolate eyes abruptly open again and her heart started beating faster. The young miko's mind drifted off to the day of their little but heartfelt wedding ceremony  in front of Goshinboku where, more with gestures than words, they professed their enduring love for each other. Miroku took a shred of Red Fire Rat robe Inuyasha gave him and enveloped their hands togheter, blessing their union that would unbreakable like the fabric itself.

Once the two lovebirds arrived in their new home, that was actually a gift from the villagers for defeating Naraku, the newlywed put down carefully his young wife and then took her again in his strong arms, like it was tradition doing in Kagome's era, in order to cross the thresold of their love nest for the first time. So, a little taken aback, she asked:

From that precious moment two weeks were already passed, a month from her return, but... their marriage hadn't been... consummated yet. To be fair, it was their plan for their first night as a married couple, in their brand-new hut. In the fading light of the sunset, Inuyasha picked her up on his back and in blink they were gone, with no time to waste. How much she missed it, something that encapsulated how their intimacy grew stronger and estabilished over time, making it even more so significant when the hanyou explicitly stated that he would always carry her on his back from that point on and she didn't need that metallic horse anymore.

Being so close to him, feeling his warmth, breathing deeply the fresh air while Inuyasha was jumping so high like it was effortless, making her feel like she was flying.  She was so happy and she would do anything to keep him as happy.

« What are your intentions...?»

« In that weird box with pictures that was in your house, I learned that bring your... wife like this the first time you enter in it brings good luck...» he replied, blushing slightly.

Kagome chuckled softly, flattered by such regard and still not very used to be called wife by her hanyou.

«So what are you waiting for, husband?» she playfully teased him with a loving smile.

«You never change, you are still the same annoying wench.»

«Is for this reason you married me.»

Once they were safely inside, Inuyasha placed down his wife for the last time and finally his warm golden eyes met the deep chocolate pools of the young miko from the future. Removing gently a strand of rebellious hair from her face, he asked, a little hesitant:

«Is.. is everything as you imagined...?»

«It is... and even better.»  Kagome stated, still focusing her complete attention on his honeyed eyes, while her right hand had took its place on his cheeck making him came closer to her.

«Inuyasha...» she whispered when he was just inches from her lips. She closed her eyes when she felt his mouth clashing on hers, surrender to their mutual feelings. His right hand went down on her hips when she enveloped his neck with both her arms, raising on her tiptoes in order to get to reach his height. Their lips and tongues were now chasing, challenging, playing with with each other.

 Kagome gaped for air and distanced a bit from him, lowering her gaze for then pointing it back at him:

«I love you.»  Inuyasha took in his clawed hand her small right one and placed it on his torso, right on his herrating beating heart, adding:

«This beats for you, thanks to you.»

Those words after all they went through, his warm touch... She felt overwhelmed. The young wife couldn't help two teardrops escaping from her brown, now watery, eyes and slide on her candid skin.

«Don't cry Kagome, please.» were the soothing words of her husband, while his calloused clawed thumbs dried carrefully the two fugitives, for then resting there, cupping her face.

It was incredible how those hands could be lethal to a threat, but also so loving, caring with her. She loved his hands, how much as she loved him, even when Inuyasha himself couldn't  stand them to be his. Kagome placed a kiss on his palm, reassuring him:

«They're tears of joy.»

Everything was so perfect, magical. They were feeling so damn lucky for being togheter in that exact moment, what were the chances?! The young-and-so-in-love wife was ready to give him everything, but, apparently, the stars still weren't alligned for such an event.

That very evening a plague of extremely insidious  youkai locusts crashed on the village and Kagome, knowing Inuyasha by heart, realized that him couldn't get in the mood if he sensed she was in danger and even if  Miroku and Sango could handle it, they couldn't leave the two alone, because they were a team. Plus they should keep an eye on Shippo.

Next to this unfortunate event, Inuyasha and Miroku had spent several time on trips in nearby villages to offer their services as demon slayers, so her brand-new husband had been away several days. Kagome, on the other hand, was still busy with her miko studies with the old Kaede, but the feeling of losing more and more occasions to be with Inuyasha was kind of hunting her

The clang of another thunder brought back Kagome in the present, so, she exaled a deep breath and freed an arm that was placed on his hanyou’s torso, placing the hand on the left arm that was still holding her. When they were togheter she always felt like that was her place, like in that exact moment, and was feeling her own the life she builting there, but this... tension with her beloved Inuyasha was starting to get in her head, making her prone, clearly, to convey it in shitty nightmares like the one of that night.

Broken

I do not own Inuyasha.  Live would probably be easier if I did, or if i had the creativity to do something like Inuyasha.

The last few leaves clung to the tree branches, their golds and crimson colors, so resplendent a few days prior, had faded, giving way to brown.  A cold wind swept through the courtyard, forcing the leaves from the trees and into the air, dancing in the wind, a tribute to fading beauty and the beginning of winter. The wind gently spun its prize around the figure of a young woman as she walked from the main house through the courtyard towards a small structure in the distance.  As she walked a leaf got caught in her hair, its fading crimson a stark contrast to her long dark tresses, the waves moving with the wind.  The temperature was dropping fast, and the small woman shivered.  She pulled her lavender sweater a little closer to her chest, her blue skirt hitting her mid-thigh as she walked.  In the back of her mind she knew she should wear slacks, but she could not bring herself to stop wearing skirts in case *he* was able to come back through.  

A soft smile ghosted over her face, as she thought about all the arguments about her clothes that were used to disguise the look of appreciation he had in his eyes as he watched her legs.  Her chocolate eyes began to shimmer as she remembered the feeling of his fingers softly rubbing her thighs, a gesture she was sure he had never meant for her to feel, but now to her it was everything. Kagome Higurashi stopped just before the door to the well house, struggling with her tears.  Every 5 days she made the same trek, praying to all the gods of the shrine and her ancestors that today would be the day they heard her desperate plea, her wish of all wishes.

2 years.  2 years since the day her hopes and dreams were taken away from her.  She had been thrust back into a world she no longer belonged in, her purpose in the world she did was over.  She lost control, and her tears streamed down her face as she recalled the horror of being back in the arms of her family while watching the one who meant the world to her fade from view.

“Inuyasha” she whispered, openly sobbing now as she walked into the doorway.  When she first returned, she tried the well every single day, screaming in agony every time she hit the bottom of the well without ever feeling the time slip forming around her.   When the pain in her heart became overwhelming, her mother, ever a rock, made her start waiting a day, then two, and now up to 4 before she tried again.  For the first six months she woke up screaming every night, her dreams convincing her that she had missed her one window to return to her friends, to him, because she had dared to sleep.  The nightmares had slowly begun to fade as Kagome felt herself becoming numb, hatred beginning to form within her heart.  She stood in the doorway, looking at the well.  If the infant were to find her now, it would have no difficulty in finding and exploiting the darkness in her heart, a darkness caused by time, separation, and despair.

Ever since she had been stranded in her era, she knew that part of her was missing.  She had heard others talking about the bond between mates.  Inuyasha had never told her how he felt, but after that kiss when they were in the Shikon jewel, she knew how he felt.  She had loved him from almost the moment she met him, despite Kikyo and his own ability to stick his foot in his mouth.  A sobbing laugh left her lips when she thought of all the times she used to “sit” him, just to watch him bounce right back up to yell at her.  Through most of their time together, those had been the only times she knew that he was solely focused on her.

Why had this happened?  Was she to selfish, seeking to keep his affection for herself when he already had someone to love and protect?  Was it her own jealousy that was being punished now, her inability to love unconditionally and to fully trust her beloved Hanyou?  That was what plagued her nightmares now, that she was being kept from Inuyasha because she was deemed unworthy of him.

Kagome forced herself down the staircase and stood in front of the well, staring down at the bottom, hoping to see the sky. She closed her eyes, almost giving in to her despair as she looked down, seeing nothing more than the bones she had seen every time she had looked down for the last two years.  She lowered her head, then froze, not processing what she was feeling.  A gentle breeze, almost warm, flowed around her… coming from the well.  Her eyes flew open as she quickly jumped into the well, certain the gods had heard her prayers.  She closed her eyes again, waiting for the familiar feel of the time slip…

The well stood alone in meadow, no one in the village knew how it had gotten there or how long it had been there.  All they had were rumors and theories about why a well that drew no water had been built near the Goshinboku, the sacred tree where their protector had been sealed for 50 years following a trick of fate.  Where once the village had feared their protector, over the last two years he had lived up to the name, protecting them from demons and invaders alike.  In the past the silver haired, golden eyed guardian would leave the village for months at a time, but for the past two years he never stayed away for more than a day.  His routine had become common for the villagers, every three days they would see his red clad form dart towards the dry well, his ears twitching as if waiting for even the faintest sound from the well.

The villagers who had been there before he settled into his role as guardian could see the difference in him.  Once, the tall handsome man had sparked with life and energy, sure he had been quick to anger, but he had also been quick to calm down and tease his friends.  Two years ago, the strange miko he had been traveling with suddenly disappeared.  While no one would say it in front of him, many worried that she had died, and her death caused the light in his eyes to fade.

Inuyasha, the solitary guardian, lost to the past, unable to move forward.  There were only 4 people who could bring a semblance of light to his eyes, the monk with the small ponytail, his wife, the former demon slayer, and a kitsune kit.  Slowly he was beginning to warm up to the two identical small humans that seemed to live for nothing more than climbing over him and tugging on his ears.  Normally Inuyasha could ignore his sadness and loneliness when spending time with Miroku, Sango and Shippo, but today it was a blanket that threatened to smother him.

‘Kagome’ he thought, looking at the twins, his heart stuttering at the thought that his pup should have been playing with them, growing up with love and friendship in the family they had made searching for the shards.  Unable to bear being around his friends and the loss it made him feel, he took off, running for the Goshinboku, leaping up into the branches until he was hidden from prying eyes.  Sango sighed as she watched him streak past her, watching his form disappear.  “It’s been two years…” Miroku said softly as he came to stand beside her.  “I keep hoping that one day the gods will repay them for all they went through and let them be together.”  Shippo looked up at the couple, his green eyes showing a weariness that was out of place in his young face His thoughts went to Kagome, who he had seen as a big sister before her disappearance. “She isn’t going to come back is she?” he asked, not seeking an answer.  Sango softly tapped his head “don’t give up hope Shippo.  If he has not given up hope, we cannot either.”

The truth was, Inuyasha was giving up hope.  He missed her.  Gods he missed her, her smile, her scent, hell he even missed her sitting him.  In a sick way, the dreaded words let him know she was there, that she cared about him.  The command had saved his life more times than he cared to admit, and a sad smile touched his tanned face as he thought of all the times he yelled at her just to see her get angry back at him.  God, she was so beautiful when she was mad, her eyes sparking fire, and her cheeks turning pink.

It was not fair.  He had lost so much in his life, his parents, Kikyo, his own mind at times.  Surely, he was due some reward, a chance at happiness.  What happiness did he have if Kagome was not there with him?  He sighed.  The scent of the forest, once a sense of comfort to him, now seemed empty and hollow.  Without the scent of vanilla and roses that belonged to Kagome, the familiar scents just seemed…wrong…  He kept her backpack near his futon in a desperate attempt to keep her scent near him, but after two years it had almost faded completely away.  Two years ago, he had watched her beautiful face turn to fear as she faded out of his view.

“FUCK” he yelled, tears beginning to form in his golden eyes… “I never got to tell her I love her…” It was all his fault, he knew.  He had spent to much time torn between a love that never was and the one woman who made life feel important.  He was too afraid of his own feelings to acknowledge them until she was torn from him.  He knew the gods were punishing him, the stupid Hanyou who dared to love a miko, but damnit, she was born to be with him, and he was born to be with her.  He had told that to the demons in the jewel, and he meant every word. He could not bear the thought that the gods heard but did not care.

His left ear twitched, catching a soft, almost imperceptible sound, from the direction of the well.  He held his breath, desperately trying to figure out if it was his imagination or if he really had heard a sound.  Breathless, he leapt out of the tree, speeding towards the well, the unfamiliar feeling of hope building in his chest as he waited.  He growled, impatient, when she did not emerge from the well. ‘Damnit, then this time I’m going to go get her… wherever she is I will be home.’  He leapt into the well, waiting for the feeling that would tell him he was passing through the time slip.

Their hands met on the same spot on the floor of the well, only separated by 500 years. They had each felt the connection, the possibility of being together again, to have it torn from them in an instant, the link being forcibly closed before they hit it. The two lovers, so close and yet so far apart, both lost the fight with despair, collapsing to the bottom of the wells. Sobs racked through both Kagome and Inuyasha as they felt all hope fade, leaving nothing but ice and sadness in their souls. It had taken two years, but the Shikon Jewel had finally had its own wish granted.

They both were broken.

I have been in a down mood for the past few days, and I have not been able to shake it.  So, before I can continue with work and schoolwork, I needed to write something down.  Maybe someday I will try my hand at something more positive, but I do not think that is today.
