In this house we love and support DILFs
[Audio Transcript:
*Mission Impossible Theme plays in background*
Ashly: And hey everyone, I'm Ashly Burch. I play Dennis Anderson. He is a thirst trap PTA firefighter widow dad.
Freddie: Ooo we love him for it.
Ashly: And he's a bit of a rogue. He's a bit rogue-ish in his way.
Ron: That guy, Dennis. That really hot guy, that firefighter yoga bod guy.
Ashly: One of the widows that had taken a shine to him gave him a shirt that said DILF, but underneath it said, "Devoted, Involved, Loving Father." And he just thinks that that's what—
Beth: *Laughs*
Freddie: That's such a good shirt. That is such a good shirt.
Ashly: That's what he thinks DILF stands for, and he was like, "Oh, that's really sweet." And now it's kind of an in joke between her and the other widows.
Freddie: Oh my-
Ron: Hey Paeden, ummm, who's your friend here?
Paeden: Uhhh, Dennis?
Dennis: *laughs* Ron...
Paeden: Obviously, my main man
Ashly: Whenever Dennis gets a natural 20 he goes "I'm just happy to be here"
Will, Freddie, Matt: *laughter*
Erin: Ugh, is Dennis still with you?
Ron: Dya.. Erin, you know about Dennis?
Dennis: Yes, Erin, I'm here.
Erin: I hate Dennissss.
Dennis: I don't understand why you hate me so much. I happen to respect you very much.
Ron: Hey, Erin. Erin, it's me, Ron! I hate Dennis too! I uhh, Well, I don't hate him—
Darryl: Ron, that's not a healthy way to talk when he can hear him.
Ron: He's really nice. I don't know how to put this, but, you don't really see Dennis that often bef… He hasn't been around here before. I'm not trying to pick him up at a bar, it's just he just not..  he... doesn't exist.
Anthony: Erin immediately starts whispering,
Erin: Ron, I'm trying to play hard-to-get with Dennis. I fucking love Dennis, don't ruin this for me
Will, Ashly, Freddie, Matt: *laughing*
Ron: You're in love with Dennis? Gahhhhh uhhh uhhh uhhh uh Terry, Terry Junior.
Erin: He's so hot and nice and a firefighter, what am I supposed…
Ron: I know, I know.
Erin: Ugh, you ruined it! You ruined it!
Ashly: Dennis sheds a single tear for the elephant he wished he didn't have to kill
Anthony: So, as has been your suspicion this entire time
Will, Freddie: *laughter*
Anthony: Dennis, is the coolest guy
*Mission Impossible Theme fades out*
Ashly, Will, Matt [overlapping]: *laughter*
Ron: My humps, my humps, my lovely camel humps. Check it out.
Anthony: Okay, so what happens is, you dive.
Ron: I drive these camels crazy. I do it on the daily. They're asking for my water. I… *sad inhale*
Dennis: Said, "Oh, don't you bother."
Ron [on the verge of tears]: Thanks, Dennis.
Will: *laughs*
Dennis: You got it, man.

random question but opinions on the idea of draco/luna?? for some reason i always thought this was a popular ship in the hp fandom. who do you ship luna with in general? i’ve always felt like there was lot’s of possibilities for cool dynamics and ships with luna.
luna does seem to draw a lot of cool dynamics!
draco/luna was on my radar when i was younger, though i don’t remember it ever being a big ship, but it wasn’t negligible either, like there was decent fic even when i was a tween. i’m not averse to it, i think it would be fun to watch draco try to make sense of her quirks (i think he’d envy her for being unapologetic about it, whereas draco’s whole life has been a carefully run rehearsal) and ultimately come to respect her strength and ingenuity, but since you’ve asked me about my luna ships, when it comes to the malfoys, i carry a small torch for luna/lucius, which is a ridic crackship i’ve mentioned before on this blog but you know what? i stand by it lol. i basically love the idea of him coming across her when she’s imprisoned in the malfoy dungeons and forming this weird rapport. in my AU, narcissa leaves him or dies, and lucius finds some eerie comfort in luna because of the (imagined) physical resemblance. post-war, i imagine him trying to fix the mess he’s made but obviously he’s persona non grata in the wizarding community, and as an outcast, only luna seems to want to spend time with him since she remembers his “kindness” during her imprisonment. but her being luna, she’s not there to be his manic pixie dream girl or to offer him redemption and forgiveness. in her ravenclaw fashion, she’s actually curious about him and she thinks he’s worth studying as a person because he’s so contradictory and interesting. i also believe that luna would weirdly make a great “lady malfoy” and completely restructure and reform the malfoy dynasty, though she’d probably call herself luna lovegood malfoy, which is great lol (incidentally, this sort of mirrors my theory that arya stark would’ve ironically made a great lady lannister). okay, i’m not gonna torture yall with my crackship anymore. other luna ships i ship:
luna/harry: this is one of my big hp OTPs. i am 100% sure that harry should have ended up with luna. i love ginny, but luna and harry is where it’s at, on every conceivable level. here’s a small post i wrote about it.
luna/dean: i love the idea of their time at shell cottage becoming a quiet, unfulfilled romance, full of soft, lingering stares. i imagine neither of them would try anything because even if ginny’s no longer in the picture for dean, it would still feel like betrayal to luna to act on her feelings. though, in luna fashion, she’d manage to confess her feelings while also explaining to him why it wouldn’t work. i just imagine a lot of wonderful, bittersweet conversations by the beach, like something out of wes anderson.
luna/cho - i remember at one point thinking about harry taking luna to slughorn’s party and then wondering about other people asking her to other events. and then it hit me. the friggin yule ball! it would’ve been amazing if cho’s partner for the yule ball had been luna fucking lovegood. imagine the scandal, the legend. the Iconic™ would’ve jumped out. (in my AU, cho would have been torn between cedric and harry and feeling guilty about being in this situation so she decides, instead, to invite someone platonically, as a friend, someone from her house, someone who perhaps would benefit from this nice exposure, someone she secretly finds interesting and brave, even though she’s a year younger. what starts out as cho trying to do something nice, while giving herself a night off from her boy drama, turns into something unexpected as she realizes luna lovegood is the most bizarre, adventurous, wonderful person she’s met, and that the butterflies in her stomach are, u know, the romantic kind. also i love the thought of cho getting pissed when she sees luna wearing her lion mascot and supporting the gryffindors during quidditch games and this would lead to hot make-out sessions behind the sheds anywaaaay)
luna/neville - i mean, i don’t think they should’ve been endgame, as some folks think, but they were definitely a thing. come on. we all know they snogged at least once during that shitty year at hogwarts when the death eaters were running the school. i like the idea of them as each other’s first love but i don’t ship them beyond that. yeah, i am tickled pink by the idea that luna’s first brush with romance is with the other possible “boy who lived” hehe.
i’m also fond of luna/ginny and luna/hermione (esp with hermione, cuz there’s a lot of friction there *wink*), but i shamefully admit i like the idea of it in gifsets/picsets but don’t go out of my way to read fanfic.
anyway, i think that’s most of them? honestly, i’m such a shipper whore that i could be persuaded to ship her with many folks, though i have some notps there too (surprisingly, i find ron/luna kind of off-putting, since he spends most of the books belittling her, fondly or not). if i had to choose one ship, it’d definitely be luna/harry since i will go to my grave being absolutely certain they should’ve been endgame (¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

                                                                      APRIL    2021
THE RIB PAGE
*****
The Grammy’s held their ceremony. Bla Bla.. Noah Cyrus wore a popcorn dress.  Harry Styles was hot as hell. Dua Lipa, Cynthia Erivo, Ingrid Andress and Megan Thee Stallion were my best dressed. Cudos to Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak for their little Richard tribute!! Hooray for Tiffany Haddish!!
*****
The Oscar noms are out and Mank ran away with the most. Woo Hoo! The trial of the Chicago 7, Nomadland and Gary Oldman were all nominated. I was surprised that One night in Miami did not get more love but hooray for Leslie Odom Jr. I was thrilled for Crip Camp and My Octopus Teacher which are about the best movies of the year but sad not to see All in: Fight for democracy. I would bet on Ma Rainey’s black bottom for costmes!!  Glenn Close has now been nominated 8 times with no wins.  Winners will be announced on April 25.
*****
The Torlonia exhibit may soon be coming to America. I can’t wait!! The ancient Greek and Roman marble sculptures are one of the greatest private collections.
*****
Here comes the George Floyd trial! The testimony gets worse everyday.
*****
All hail Lady Dynamite!!!! Maria Bamford just gets better with age.
*****
The art collective behind the “Satan shoes” has been sued by Nike. The lil’ Nas X 666 shoes sold out but Nike claims trademark infringement. Nike did not design or release them and does not endorse them. They are really black and red air max 97 sneakers. Breaking down my walls-Carl Grimes
Carl Grimes x Reader
Readers Pov:
One thing that is not very smart to do when you could get killed any day now is falling in love. Depending on how you think. Rick and Michonne made it work and are honestly the cutest couple. They had the mindset of ‘live today because it could all be over tomorrow’. I don't.
Better to be alone than end up with a broken heart. I talk to people. I'm not a loner. I just don't form a strong connection with everyone. Only a few have that bond with me. Rick is one. I live with him, he's like a dad to me. The other is Daryl, well not really. We don't talk much, but if he was gone I'd be broken. I talk and trust Maggie.
Otherwise, I'm a loner. I'm perfectly fine with that. Someday we are all gonna die. Distance prevents a broken heart. Rick always pushes me to talk to people my age, before that only meant Carl. Now it means more kids.
Enid, Ron, Mikey, and Carl.
Carl used to try to be my friend. We talked, but I was never really there. He was really amazing. I've had crushes before but never like this. Never where they could die at any given moment.
Carl has been shot before. He could have died. Granted every time we step out side the walls we could die, but we do anyway.
Once we got here I was glad I distanced myself from him. Enid quickly formed a bond with him, I always saw them sneaking over the wall together. He seemed happier.
At least I wouldn't be heartbroken. My mind always ends up wandering. Especially when I'm alone with no distractions, like now.
What if I told him I liked him, he liked me. Would I be happy? Would he still be going over the wall with Enid? Dangering his life.
Love is stupid. It gets in the way of survival, causes more problems than good. But I craved it. It was idiotic. Wanting something so troublesome.
---
Rick finally got me to hang out with the other teens. I didn't really want to. Ron is annoying as fuck, and Carl and Enid just smile and flirt with each other. Mikey just boring. But Rick looked ecstatic when I agreed.
"Hey, (Y/n)?" I whipped my head to the spawn of the noise. Ron.
"Yes?"
"Why do you never hang out with us? Got a big secret? A crush? You always seem so secretive." Ron pried. I swear every time I talk to him he interrogates me.
"Nope." I hoped it would end there but he just wouldn't quit.
"Are you sure? You're not normal. You're weird."
"And you're annoying, asshole. Also normal is boring. I'm not boring."
"You bitch!" I smirked knowing I pissed him off.
"Ron! Don't." My jaw dropped slightly at the sight of Carl standing up for me. His fists were clenched and he was fuming. Enid, of course, was trying to calm him down. None of that would work. I always knew Carl had anger issues and I know how to calm him, not her.
I grabbed Carl's hand a walked straight out of The Anderson's house, much to Enid's distaste. Once we got a long distance away from anyone, I put my hands on Carl's shoulders.
"Hey, I'm fine. It doesn't bother me, I'm glad he got angry. I'm okay about this, you don't need to do anything or stand up for me. But I really appreciate the gesture."
"(Y/n) you just let him talk to you like that! If you aren't gonna do anything about it, I will! All he does is either talk about how you are secretive and a bitch or he talks about how you look and the things he wants to do to you! I swear to God It pisses me off!"
"Why do you care what he says? You have Enid." I looked away, It felt weird not pushing him away. I don't think I liked it.
"You never let anyone in! I have liked you for the longest time, I still do. But you are always afraid that someones going to die and shut everyone out! I could protect you! I wouldn't leave, I'd love you! Enid is just a replacement. I have no hope that you would ever love me back so I moved on to her." He got quite at the end.
What am I supposed to say to that? I have a crush on Carl, a big one. I wouldn't have to keep suppressing my feeling and hoping the just magically disappear. He liked me, although it might just be out of pity. What if he's lying?
"I really do like you. I have been about a year after you joined the group. I'd never lie to you."
I looked away as I felt tears collect in my ducts. He knew me. This might be my chance to let go of my fears.
I wrapped my arms around Carl and held him tightly.
I finally let someone in, and I was finally happy.
--
Enid never got over it. I stole her crush, but in my defense, he liked me first.
She hated me. It was pretty funny, if she really liked him she'd be happy he was happy. Enid's too shallow for that.
Carl lost his eye to that fucking prick, Ron. We supported each other and still love each other.
I have never regretted letting him in.

off the rack #1207
Monday, April 2, 2018
I haven't seen many robins yet but the gold finches and woodpeckers have returned to our feeder. The snow is finally disappearing from our south facing back lawn so spring seems to be progressing as nature intended. There's no stopping the tilt of the planet is there? I am looking forward to getting my bike out, putting on new tires and hitting the pedals.
I am currently reading Moonheart by Charles de Lint and having a grand old time. Some of it takes place in Ottawa and I get a kick out of knowing where all the locations are. One of the main characters in the story is a house located in the Glebe where I grew up. It left me scratching my head because the streets didn't line up with the map in my head. I even used Google's street view to clear up the confusion to stop the niggling feeling in my brain while reading. I had to beat down my inner nitpicker so that I could continue to enjoy the rest of the story. I highly recommend this fantasy.
I read a bunch of comic books Wednesday at the store between serving customers because there were no rack copies to borrow to take home. Thanks to Al, Becky, Charles and Rob for giving me permission to read their copies. I didn't write any thoughts on these right after I read them like I do when I read comic books at home, but here is what I remember.
AVENGERS #686 - No Surrender part 11. The latest Hulk persona is established. We'll see how long it lasts.
CHAMPIONS #18 - More major changes for Vivian Vision and the young team. This issue is also the swan song for the creative team. I look forward to seeing what the new writers and artists do.
INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #598 - Still looking for Tony Stark but getting real close to finding him now. Meanwhile, the Infamous Iron Man, Victor Von Doom, has his gauntlets full with the Hood and the Wrecking Crew.
JESSICA JONES #18 - This could be the final issue of Jessica Jones ever. It's a very good one issue story where Jessica solves a missing person's case. You should read the farewell that Brian Michael Bendis writes in lieu of a letters page. It gives a nice sense of closure.
MOON KNIGHT #193 - Marc Spector triumphant. Read it to find out how he does it.
DEMON HELL IS EARTH #5 (OF 6) - Etrigan, Madame Xanadu, Merlin and Jason Blood keep fighting to keep Belial from opening a portal from Hell to Earth. It's pretty boilerplate as mystical stories go but I really like the art.
HIT-GIRL #2 - Okay, this is just too freaking violent and nonsensical for me. Mindy/Hit-Girl acting the way she does in this new story made me disconnect from the character. She used to have some redeeming qualities but she's just a homicidal maniac here.
Now back to our regularly scheduled musings.
Daredevil #600 - Charles Soule (writer) Ron Garney (art) Matt Milla (colours) VC's Clayton Cowles (letters). There are heroes and villains galore in this giant sized issue. I did not like the way the clash between Daredevil's super friends and the Kingpin's crime bosses bunch ended. It was too simple to have it all tied up in a neat bow by the NYPD. I was surprised by a couple of things though. Not having followed Daredevil religiously I am unfamiliar with who the Beast is. Then there was what happens to Mayor Wilson Fisk at the end. The shocking event serves to catapult the story to the next arc and is enough to keep me reading.
Doomsday Clock #4 - Geoff Johns (writer) Gary Frank (art) Brad Anderson (colours) Rob Leigh (letters). Get close up and personal with the new Rorschach in this issue. I'm not getting the point of this story but the art is lovely.
Saga #50 - Fiona Staples (art) Brian K. Vaughn (writer) Fonografiks (letters). Sexually sensitive fans may be shocked by the first page. If they are, then the third page will give them conniptions. More adventurous fans will be Googling that poop. Life goes on for our intrepid gang of misfits following the afterglow, and we find out what's in store for the future. Read this landmark issue to see why I am addicted to this comic book.
Detective Comics #977 - James Tynion IV (writer) Javier Fernandez, Eddy Barrows & Eber Ferreira (art) John Kalisz & Adriano Lucas (colours) Sal Cipriano (letters). Batman Eternal part 2. They've given Tim Drake a more central role in this book and I like it. His connections to Batman, Batwoman and the Colony's tech guy Ulysses makes for some very interesting plots going forward. Red Robin's return is the main reason I kept this book on my "to read" list.
Silencer #3 - Dan Abnett (writer) John Romita Jr. (pencils) Sandra Hope (inks) Dean White & Arif Prianto (colours) Tom Napolitano (letters). Code of Honor conclusion. I like this new character but it's the familiar supporting cast that keeps me reading. Talia al Ghul always makes a story more interesting for me and the surprise guy on the last page makes next issue a must read.
The Terrifics #2 - Ivan Reis & Jeff Lemire (storytellers) Ivan Reis (pencils) Jose Luis (pencils pages 15-20) Vicente Cifuentes & Jordi Tarragona (inks) Marcelo Maiolo (colours) Tom Napolitano (letters). The appearance of Tom Strong at the end of the first issue made me want to read this second issue. The last three pages of this made me decide to stop. There are many things that can motivate a group of super heroes to form a team but the one they come up with for these four characters made my eyes roll.

Hoosier Park Concludes 2017 Racing Season
Anderson, Ind.—November 17, 2017—Hoosier Park Racing & Casino concluded their 2017 harness racing season with a 14-race card in front of a packed house on Friday, November 17. In addition to the racing action, the leading driver and trainer titles were awarded.
On the driving side, Trace Tetrick secured his fourth consecutive and sixth leading driver title at Hoosier Park. Tetrick, who led the standings from start to finish, was officially recognized as the 2017 leading driver with 366 victories while amassing over $4.6 million in purse earnings throughout the 163-day season. Sam Widger finished second with 331 victories with John DeLong in third with 223 trips to the winner’s circle.
The Southern Illinois native started driving in 2003 and has since surpassed the $44 million mark in purse earnings in the bike. As the all-time leading driver in Hoosier Park history, Tetrick is on track to record his best season to date in 2017 with over $6.5 million in purse earnings and counting. Tetrick also captured two Breeders Crown titles at Hoosier Park earlier in October.
“This year was incredibly special for me, especially with the two Breeders Crown wins,” Tetrick noted in the winner’s circle. “I want to thank the owners and trainers for believing in me and giving me the opportunity, without them, I wouldn’t be here.”
“I’ve had a lot of momentum all year,” he continued. “That certainly helps. The support of my family and friends has been great. I really appreciate the opportunity to show up every night and do what I love.”
For the first time since 2005, the battle for winning trainer resulted in a tie. Jamie Macomber and Jeff Cullipher each ended the season with 92 wins to earn the honors as the season’s top trainers at Hoosier Park. Don Cromer and Dan Perdue tied for leading trainer honors in 2005 with 31 wins.
It was the first leading trainer title for both Macomber and Cullipher.
Heading into the evening’s 14-race card just one win separated the top pair. Macomber’s Ramblingamblinman found the winner’s circle with Peter Wrenn in the bike. Just a few races later, Cullipher evened the score after back to back wins with Coal Hanover and Ideal Rocky, respectively.
After 10 years managing Ron Burke’s Indiana stable, 2017 was Macomber’s first season operating a public stable with her husband, Ricky, Macomber. The daughter of Ohio-based trainer Tim Rucker and his wife, Debbie, now finds herself with a leading trainer title and a Breeders Crown champion to her credit.
Macomber trained Beckhams Z Tam who was victorious in the $527,500 Breeders Crown for 3-year-old male pacers earlier this month at Hoosier Park in 1:51.1. In addition to the Breeders Crown victory, horses from the Macomber stable earned over $1.7 million in purse earnings throughout the 163-day meet at Hoosier Park.
“What an unbelievable year, I just have to keep pinching myself,” Macomber noted. “With a win in the Breeders Crown and now standing here for leading trainer alongside Jeff, it’s been truly unbelievable.  I can’t thank everyone enough that has supported me this year, my owners, my team, everyone.”
Raised by a family rich in harness racing tradition, Jeff Cullipher has quickly made a name for himself as a trainer at Hoosier Park. The 46-year-old Henderson, KY native is no new comer to the sport of harness racing. A driver since 1988 and trainer since 1991, Cullipher has over 30 years of harness racing experience to his credit. After finishing fourth in the trainer standings last year, his stable earned over $1 million throughout the 2017 season to find him atop the standings.
“It’s been a great year,” Cullipher said. “This is one of the toughest places to race in the country so if you can make it here, I think you are doing alright. I have to thank my owners and my team who have helped me get here, it really is a team effort.”
The Friday night program wrapped up an extremely successful season at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino. Hoosier Park Racing & Casino would like to thank all of the fans and horsemen who helped make the 2017 season at Hoosier Park an overwhelming success.
“We would like to thank all the horsemen and racing fans that contributed to the successful 2017 season at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino,” Hoosier Park’s Vice President and General Manager of Racing, Rick Moore noted. “Their support, along with the hard work and dedication from the entire Hoosier Park team, made for a tremendous season and we are already looking forward to next season.”

Your Friday Morning Roundup
Yo, the Flyers.
After getting shut out by the Blackhawks the night before and losing to the Arizona Coyotes in overtime Monday night, the Flyers got a much-needed 2-0 victory over the Blues in St. Louis. Michal Neuvirth had a night with stopping all 33 shots on goal, but the biggest star of the night has to be Ivan Provorov.
The second-year defenseman is a Russian machine. This was the fourth straight game he played more than 27 minutes (27:11), recorded five hits, and tied a franchise record with 10 blocked shots.
The Flyers didn’t lose any defensemen, and thank god they didn’t. This was the defense for the night:
Reminder: Tonight's defense is inexperienced. http://pic.twitter.com/clQOPWdvjF

I mean…

There were plenty of scary moments for the defense, but Neuvirth came to play. That was big. It sounds like Ron Hextall won’t be searching the trade market for another defenseman either.
Flyers return home to take on the Colorado Avalanche Saturday night. A defensemen or two back would help.
The Roundup:
The Phillies introduced Gabe Kapler as their new manager yesterday afternoon. We highlighted some of his top moments, such as his jawline and coconut oil.
But why did Matt Klentak choose Kapler?
“As we were reaching the end of the process, it became very clear there was one person who separated himself and was the right man to lead the Phillies into the future,” Klentak said. “That person is Gabe Kapler. Gabe Kapler is incredibly prepared. That came through in the interview process. It came through as we talked to people throughout the industry that either played with him or worked with him, players who had played for him. If he brings the same level of preparation and grit to the Phillies that he brought to the field as a player, our fans are going to love this guy.
“He has a unique ability to connect with people. We saw this in the interview process. But we’ve also seen this in our talks with people who have been around him in his career. He can connect with players. He can connect with the media. He can connect with the front office. He has a very unique ability to do that. I think that bodes very well for our young roster.
The Eagles continued practicing in preparation for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. That will be a blackout game.
On the injury front, Ronald Darby (ankle) and now Zach Ertz (hamstring) were limited during practice. I don’t expect Darby to play Sunday. As for Ertz, hopefully he plays.
Carson got an award:
October's NFC Offensive Player of the Month.

Facts only.
NFL Films had Doug Pederson mic’d up during Sunday’s game, and he got angry. I really like angry Doug.
Fletcher Cox spoke to Joe Staley after his eye injury Sunday afternoon.
A local note on Broncos kicker and former North Penn and Temple product Brandon McManus:
Talking Philly today with Philly-born Broncos K Brandon McManus today. He has 136 friends/family coming to game Sunday. 136. #9sports

Finally, what’s going on with Sidney Jones?

On the hardwood, the Sixers were back at practice after Wednesday night’s win over the Atlanta Hawks. Kevin Kinkead highlights the team’s second quarter struggles and Amir Johnson on social media.
Some of the top highlights from the Hawks win.
Sam Hinkie has risen from a short Twitter slumber.
The attendance is one of the best in the league.
Sixers try to increase their winning streak to four games and get above .500 for the first time since 2013 tonight against the Pacers. Tip off is at 7. Richaun Holmes is available for the game.
The Delaware 87ers open up their G League season tonight in Maine against the Red Claws. They released their Opening Night roster.
Frank Nutile’s four touchdown passes helped Temple defeat Navy 34-26. The 4-5 Owls snapped Navy’s nice 69-game streak of a rushing touchdown and their 12-0 undefeated record at Lincoln Financial Field.
In other sports news, Texans rookie quarterback DeShaun Watson is done for the season after tearing his ACL in a non-contact drill. The team signed former Eagle Matt McGloin as well as T.J. Yates. They will start Tom Savage on Sunday.
Odell Beckham Jr., through Josina Anderson, send Watson a get well message. Read that first before you check out Jimmy Kempski’s breakdown:
Oh my God, there's so much to make fun of here, which I will… https://t.co/ax7oLVQmtJ
— Jimmy Kempski (@JimmyKempski) November 2, 2017
Also done for the year is Colts QB Andrew Luck.
This was Buffalo’s only highlight in their 34-21 loss to the New York Jets:

Most ESPN employees won’t be able to break news directly on Twitter. They’ll have to do it on ESPN’s website first. That’s backwards.
The FBI has cleared Louisville basketball freshman Brian Bowen and the school can now reinstate him. His recruitment led to the firings of head coach Rick Pitino and AD Tom Jurich.
Oh?
Translation:
Personal achievements and medals – all of this great, but in hockey, like with everything, to win it’s important to have a team. Only a team is capable of changing the course of a game, achieve the impossible. Lately, in the Western Press, I’m noticing a comparison to Putin’s team. And you know, I really liked that comparison. Personally, I’m ready to be a member of that team. I never hid my relationship with our president, always openly supported him.
I’m certain that there are many of us that support Vladimir Putin. Let’s unite and show everyone a strong and united Russia. Today, I want to announce a social movement in the name of Putin Team. Be a part of this team – to me it’s a privilege, it’s like the feeling of when you put on the jersey of the Russian team, knowing that the whole country is rooting for you. #putinteam
In the news, a man and woman were found dead inside an SUV in Port Richmond.
Donald Trump’s Twitter account was deactivated for a little bit:
Earlier today @realdonaldtrump’s account was inadvertently deactivated due to human error by a Twitter employee. The account was down for 11 minutes, and has since been restored. We are continuing to investigate and are taking steps to prevent this from happening again.

It is the end of an era though that the Sheridan Village branch in Peoria, Il. will close its doors.  Bergner’s was founded in Peoria 130 years ago. The Sheridan Village branch opened more than 60 years ago. The parent company Bonton has had financial issues and is closing 7 stores.
*****Lebron James was speaking out as is his right and Laura Ingram told him on the air to “shut up and dribble.” The NBA star replied, “Laura who?” She wants him to go on her show. Why would he want to help her ratings? Why does Fox news believe in free speech for themselves but nobody else?
***** Jake Shears ,formerly of the Fab Scissor Sisters has gone solo and has also released a book, Boys keep swinging. Woo Hoo!! He is also playing Charlie Prince in Kinky Boots.
*****Indonesia is looking at outlawing sex before marriage.
*****Recent articles tell us that George Washington’s teeth were pulled from the heads of slaves.
*****Russia was behind the hacking in Korea during the Olympics.
*****The US was 4th at the Olympics with 23 gold medals.
***** The latest accused: Ryan Seacrest. ABC and E! are standing by him. Bellamy Young, for one wonders why he does not step down from his Oscar red carpet hosting duties. Seacrest has not mentioned any of this on his Live with Kelly show. I think the red carpet and Live would be better without him.
*****Do people get just how hard it is for sexual abuse victims to come forward?  Do we see the pattern of victims who are not believed or shut up by powerful agendas already in place? C’mon Congress, priests, teachers, police and everyone please speak up. The Nassar Olympic doctor had an unbelievable 265 victims. Open your hearts and your ears and show compassion. **Scary Clown tweets that lives are being destroyed and what happened to due process?  WTF?  You can’t have it both ways. What about the women who claimed you assaulted them? What about Al Franken and how he was pushed out?  ** And Sara H. Sanders and Kelly Ann Conway should be ashamed of themselves and the way they support these abusers. What about the grace of Sorenson and Porters alleged victims? These women had to be interviewed, disrupting their lives when these men wanted these WH positions. They told their truth but added that the men were good at their jobs. They tried to do right by men who they say abused them. It is unbelievable that our President discards them and sticks up for his buddies. As a woman we are used to this sort of behavior but it does seem time for this to end. ** Now even Trump’s celebrity spokespersons are having sex issues like Scott Baio. Why are these good old boys just allowed to go their merry way? **Brendon Fraser claims the former President of the Hollywood foreign press, Philip Berk, groped him in 2003. The’ me too’ movement gave him confidence to come forward.

*****Netflix will bring us Amber Tamblyn in Paint it Black.**Ryan Murphy is moving to Netflix . FX and Fox will still bring us AHS, Feud, American Crime story and the new Pose about the transgender community in the 80’s.  Word is that Murphy was unsure about the Disney/20th Century Fox/ Comcast talks. ** Netflix cancelled Disjointed.
***** What I love about politics is the balance of power and how people who are completely different can use this beautiful government as it was set up by fairly coming to a compromise. It is not the first time but it has gone off the rails. This President pays no attention to rules. I am not always a big lover of rules but damn if we don’t need them for the running of this country. I mean he really, truly does not seem to give a fuck about this great country. ** VOTE!! The most important thing we can do is vote!  Funny or Die is giving a big push to sign up voters by going to the most important races and educating citizens.** Again, Paper Ballots please.. everyone should insist on paper ballots!
*****Mandy Patinkin got his star on the Hollywood walk of fame.
*****Zach Braff is in a new series called Alex Inc.
*****Aniston and Theroux have split.
*****Wes Anderson is back with Isle of Dogs.
*****Amy Schumer married chef Chris Fischer.
*****Another shooting and we must vote these fuckers out. Go Go Sen. Chris Murphy from Connecticut who called himself and his colleagues out. Some NRA lovin’ are trying not to trot out the same old tired line but with a twist, ”I won’t say it’s not time to talk about it but”  and then talks on about the emotion involved and the gun issue should be set aside. Some blame video games.  Others talk of metal detectors and arming teachers.  Apparently our kids should walk into fortresses. Teachers don’t have enough worries with teaching our children and figuring out how they can afford supplies.  Now they want educators to have firearm training.  This is better than a little gun regulation? The Parkland shooting took place about 40 miles from Mar A Lago. The shooter bought an AR 15 in the last year after Trump signed a bill revoking an Obama era gun check for people with mental illness.  The FBI did not look long and hard enough at complaints about the shooter. They get about a thousand tips a day. Police were called to his home at least 20 times. Scott Peterson, a deputy with a gun who was there to help prevent this did nothing. There is a lot of blame to go around.** This isn’t the first time that authority has dropped the ball. What is with all the incompetence? Patty Hearst’s name was on a list of people the SLA wanted to kidnap and nobody told her. Priests are simply moved around after they are found to be child molesters. Police who have been given warnings about racism and excessive force are left on the job. Domestic violence gets a slap on the wrist until they kill the family. Enough!!!**Big Kudos to the savvy kids who know what the fuck is going on. The young folk are not brainwashed, they want change.  They haven’t had as many years to get as angry as we are, but they are just scared.** The shooter has pictures of himself online with a MAGA hat on. Gee.. did not see that one coming.** One cannot help but think of the young people getting killed in Vietnam and the mistreatment of so many that caused students to mobilize against the war and organize for civil rights. I think the women’s march, Black lives matter, me too , impeachment rally’s and march for science have set good examples for these kids. They were paying attention but we did not do enough, we must stand with them.
*****March 24, 2018: The March for our lives! These savvy kids are taking action. They blitzed the Sunday morning circuit on the 18th with their message. They have had it with the same old shit. They want to march and with Generation Z, minorities, women and millennials we could change this country. They want comprehensive gun control and are using the words of politicians past to get their point across. ‘You are with us or against us ‘and ‘they have blood on their hands’ are just some of the lines they are using. These students do not care about republican or democrat, they care about results. Neither party has been doing them any favors lately. They plan to give out badges of shame to those who accept money from the NRA. Go Go GO!!** Another idea floated has been to stop sending kids to school until reasonable laws are put in place.** And I always wondered about this ratings system they have.  These politicians are proud to have an A+ rating? I mean who the fuck are they?
*****The NRA gave the kids a couple of days and then they came out swinging.  The NRA used a Parks and Rec GIF of Leslie Knope as they thanked Dana Loesch for being the voice of the NRA at the CNN town hall. Creator Mike Shur responded, “I would prefer you not use a GIF from the show I worked on to promote your pro slaughter agenda.” He added, Amy Poehler isn’t on twitter but she texted me a message, ‘Can you tweet the NRA for me and tell them I said fuck off.’** Many companies have severed ties with the NRA.** Scary Clown won’t talk gun legislation. ** Hey Hey NRA: You can’t be the PTA!** Over a dozen different victims of the Florida shooting have received death threats. WTF?** An armed social studies teacher in Georgia fired off a shot after not allowing students into his classroom. He later surrendered.
***** Dick’s sporting goods are pulling assault weapons from their stores permanently. The owner says the law isn’t doing enough so he is taking the steps. Wal mart stopped selling them 3 years ago. Both have now decided to raise the age in the stores to 21. Wal Mart is taking out toys that resemble assault rifles.** On the last day of February Trump said: “Take the firearms first and then go to court- take the guns first, go through due process second.” Hmm!? So now Trump is calling out the NRA a bit. Lawmakers make it so obvious that they just did not want Obama to get any credit for helping with this problem. They claim the slippery slope but they knew he and other dems did not want to take anybody’s guns away. We all want common sense and either  they never listen to other view points or they just want all the credit. Take a look at yourselves. Will Trumps hard core base like this new no due process take and how long will that point of view last? It does seem that this time businesses and states are just going ahead with their own agenda.
*****The new face on Face the Nation is moderator Margaret Brennan.** Thanks for your spotlight on the mass homicide in Syria in your first broadcast as host.
*****The Polk award winners are Jodi Kantor, Megaze and Ronan Farrow.
*****While the world was talking about the shooting and the bravery of the children for speaking up and the new revelations of Russia, Fox news spends the day in remembering of Billy Graham. RIP
*****Wendy Williams is taking time off due to a diagnosis of Graves disease.
*****A recent billboard: When will they love their kids more than their guns?
*****This whole ‘memo’ bullshit is bogus yet so dangerous. After the Dem memo, Trump tweeted a denial of phone calls.
*****Let us thank the conservatives for first funding this Russian dossier. ** Now we are hearing about a Playboy playmate that Scary Clown allegedly had a 9 month affair with. ** And hey.. Didn’t the signature red tie thing belong to Dangerfield? Stop it Trump!!
*****The Paramount network has brought us the great mini series: WACO with Michael Shannon and Rory Culkin. The biggest revelation: J. Edgar Hoover was on the Mickey Mouse Club.
*****Jedediah Bila married Jeremy Scher.
*****The 4 hour HBO doc, The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling will grace us on March 26.
*****The 5th season of Arrested Development is completed for Netflix. David Cross said in an interview that the cast stands behind Jeffrey Tambor after his firing from Amazon. Arrested will be out later in the year.
****Missouri Governor Eric Greitens was indicted for felony invasion of privacy.
*****Heather Locklear was arrested for domestic violence and battery on a police officer on Feb. 25.
*****Trevor Noah’s ‘ Born A Crime will be adapted to film and will star Lupita Nyong’o.
*****The BAFTA’s were handed out. Much love was given to Three billboards outside Ebbing, Mo. For film and also to Frances McDormand , Martin McDonagh for original screenplay and Sam Rockwell. Adapted screenplay went to James Ivory, it was so good to see him honored again. Gary Oldman and Guillermo del Toro also won.
*****Snoop Dogg has a new gospel album.
*****The talk show of Harry Connick Jr. is winding down.
*****Check out This is not happening with Roy Wood Jr. I am in when he is involved. It is a sort of tell all with stand ups. The amount of liquor bottles behind them in the bar is straight out of Bob and Ringo’s (refer to Grandview USA).
*****Hulu is giving us Castle Rock with …hell yea.. Sissy Spacek.
***** Somehow you never forget what poverty and hatred can do when you see its scars on the hopeful face of a young child.. Lyndon Johnson
*****After the Rob Porter mess Priebus and other flunkies were on the Sunday shows. The kiss ass idiots said a lot of’ I don’t knows’ and ‘from my point of views’.  Why were they even on when they have no info?  We heard a lot of, ‘I’d never heard of that’ and ‘I didn’t know who he was.’  These selfish, stupid men tripping over their words who seem so afraid of Trump. White men at the top of the food chain and they are not happy with that. They are bitter and mean. Men put in prominent positions who know nothing.. well done WH. I ask again, what does he have on these people?** But why was Porter and at least a hundred others still working with sensitive material without clearance? ** David Axelrod made a good point saying, “Everyone thought John Kelly would rub off on Trump but Trump has rubbed off on Kelly.”  Or perhaps he mused, that we are finding out who these people really are. ** It seems they all think they are so smart and they are the first to ever be in the WH. There are others who know how this all works and it is good they call them on it, even though it isn’t nearly often enough.** Chris Wray contradicts the WH on the timeline of the Rob Porter investigation. The FBI tells us that their work was completed in July and new info was sent in January which closed things down. The President can clear anyone he wants so he can disregard that info. The WH keeps telling us this is all normal but other administrations disagree. The Obama team did top assistance clearance 6 months in advance. ** Jared Kushner was stripped of his high level security clearance. About 3 dozen others are in jeopardy as well.
*****Hope Hicks is out!** Josh Raffel is out!
*****Melania’s parents have just become US citizens, part of the migration plan that Trump wants to kill.** Melania made a nice speech in the East room of the WH on the 26th. Why is there nothing in the news feed about that? OK it is funny that she wants to stop the negative social media with what we see from the hubby on a daily basis. But she did address the opiod crisis and encouraged the kids from the school shooting to speak up. Well done!
*****Jessica Ford has made yet another attempt to gain access to the White House. She was charged with possession of a gun which I guess they don’t like? She sure wants to make herself known in Washington.
*****The children who were rescued from the notoriously evil parents recently were each given a guitar from Fender.
*****A judge has sided with John Oliver and HBO after they were sued by Robert Murray. Murray, a coal exec was told by the West Virginia state court that the humorous jabs were satire and the other statements were based on judicial opinion and government reports.
*****Red Fawn Farris took a plea deal from charges related to Standing Rock. She pled guilty to civil disorder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Sentencing will sometime after April.
*****I wonder if any journalists are trying to get interviews with the first lady? I would like to hear what she has to say.
***** Steve Martin and Martin Short: An evening you will forget for the rest of your life is coming to Netflix. Their tour continues and this night was taped in South Carolina.
***** The WH revolving door continues: Rob Porter out.. Rachel Brand out.. David Sorenson out..
***** Word is spreading that law enforcement is identifying some citizens as ‘black identity extremists’ which gives police license to monitor protestors. Just when the public calls out harsh treatment, they find another way in.
*****Can we all promise to never use the phrase ‘nothing burger’ ever again?
*****Putin is reportedly so happy with all the mess he has caused in this country.  With no sanctions being imposed, Turkey and China are now getting in the ‘fuck with the US elections’ game.** 13 Russians have been indicted and no Americans , so far, were involved. The operatives were supposed to do anything they could to hurt Hillary. It shows you how scared Russia was of her. So far, it looks like Trump campaigners helped unwittingly. ** Russia is now putting pro gun messages out there to add chaos to the Florida shooting.** Dozens of Russians were at the National prayer breakfast. Really? We need a unified Russian strategy. The elections are closer every day.  Trump just keeps acting like a cult leader and making it all about him. Children are dead and he just keeps tweeting his ‘innocence’ in the Russian investigation. ** The History channel is taking on Putin with a new special, America’s biggest threat: Vladimir Putin**Alex Van Der Zwann, a lawyer who was part of a Ukranian ministry has been indicted for false statements to the FBI.**Top Trump aide Rick Gates has pled guilty to secret foreign lobbying, lying to the FBI and helping Manafort cheat on his taxes. It seems he  committed another crime as he was making the deal!** Admiral Mike Rogers says they are not doing enough to stop the sustained aggression of Russia and he does not know why. Scary Clown says he is weighing several options.
*****No wonder so many put up with the way the WH tries to ‘handle’ us.  Fox , the NRA and much of the conservative movement has been grooming us for generations. They aren’t all as honorable as John McCain. Many churches spoon feed their congregations what they want them to believe, how they want them to vote. The term’ fake news’ fits right in with all this.  Stand up and investigate on your own, don’t just BELIEVE anyone!
*****Just when I start to get used to Meghan McCain, she is on camera rolling her eyes at the raw emotion of the kids and parents in the town hall meeting. ** The rumor is that Joy and Meghan fight a lot behind the scenes. I am not there but I think they probably get it out onstage. What is it about some conservatives that they seem to have such a problem with peace, love and compromise?
***** A complaint from whistleblower Helen Foster says that Cindy Carson, Ben’s wife pressured officials for big money to redecorate. $31,000 of taxpayer money was spent on a dining room set for Ben’s office. Federal law requires congressional approval to furnish or redecorate if costs exceed 5 thousand bucks. When Foster refused to comply she was demoted and transferred. The Department of housing and urban development has cut money for the homeless, the elderly and the poor.
*****Thank goodness for the Carl Reiners and the Ian Stewarts of the world who brought us wonderful art. They put their egos in check and approached things different than they had originally intended. The world needs more of this.
*****Wal Mart is really such a terrible place. I am much happier since I no longer give them money. I should have listened to my friends and done it a long time ago. Sometimes it has to hit me right in the face for me to see it.
***** One has to wonder if Rosenstein et al like it when Trumps doings shines a spotlight on them.
*****Andy Richter came thru his knee surgery ok.
*****So happy for The Philadelphia Eagles but what the fuck is the matter with those fans?  With celebrations like that and all the injuries, it might be good to see the end of football that has been  predicted.** It did seem a strange choice to me to have Justin Timberlake sing. Why not some diversity? Some other kinds of music genres? I mean.. boring!!
*****The Dow had its biggest 1 day drop ever. People have started to worry about inflation.
*****Jim Carrey is urging others to do dump Facebook stock and delete accounts. He called the Trump presidency a botched Russian black op.
*****Check out the committee to investigate Russia online.  Rob Reiner is on the advisory board talking to John Brennan and James Clapper.
***** Bastille day? Really? Our dictator wants a North Korean military style parade? Is he fucking kidding? How many homeless vets could be helped with the millions it would take to give him this parade?
*****A new HBO doc, Elvis Presley: The Searcher is coming. Director Thorn Zimmy had complete access to Graceland archives.  The score is from Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready and includes some deep cuts and alternate mixes.
*****Tribeca’s opening night will premiere a Gilda Radner doc: Love, Gilda.
*****Lenny Dykstra, a former buddy of Charlie sheen claims that Sheen is about to be brought down by the Feds. A Former inmate and Mets and Phillies team member, Dykstra is looking to make a documentary so some see an ulterior motive in talking. The charges he leveled were Sheens involvement in a murder, beating his pregnant x-wife, tax and wire fraud and knowingly spreading HIV. Lenny himself has been accused of being a racist and homophobe as well as indecent exposure, sexual assault and grand theft auto.
*****CNN’s The Radical story of patty Hearst is great. This is a story which will never go away and this is full of all the flashpoints. I am a bit sickened to listen to Bill Harris tell his story. He acts like he telling some cool story from a high school party or something as he tells of his role in the kidnapping and brainwashing of a woman. He looks so comfy and satisfied with himself.
*****Sam Waterston was back on law and Order SVU as Jack McCoy!!
*****Gerber chose Lucas Warren, the first down syndrome child ever picked as their spokesbaby.
*****Why was a tiny little company hired by FEMA to deliver meals? The 50 million needed  in Peurto Rico were suddenly reduced to 50 thousand. They claimed nobody missed a meal.
*****It may have started in Florida with the Marlins but in baseball spring training all the teams will wear Stoneman Douglas caps. Some of the major leaguers graduated from there. They will sign them and sell them to aid the victims.
*****So Jeff Sessions has taken back Obama’s memo that allows Native American nations all the same rights as legal Marijuana states to go into the weed biz. They are shutting them down one by one. The state of California is no help by locking tribes out of the market. How many times do you think this country has to kick our native brothers and sisters in the head? How much longer will we torture these people?
*****Kathy Griffin has done the pixie cut in support of her sister who died of cancer in September. Kathy says: “When you’re a woman, you get one fuck up and Its all over.”
*****The Berlin International film fest gave the top prize, the golden bear to Touch Me Not. Best director went to Wes Anderson for Isle of Dogs, best actor went to Anthony Bajon and best actress to Ana Brun.
*****Days alert: Ok.. Days, I do wish all soaps could be a bit more original than one night stands that produce babies and then the origin of said baby is hidden. I wish people did not always come back from the dead or good characters didn’t suddenly act evil when they could have told family and friends they were being blackmailed and got their help. OK that said and suspending disbelief we watch Days anyway cuz it is great. Anna is back and I hope they keep her around. I am so glad Eric and Jen found each other again. Please someone kill Stefan. MORE LUCAS! Let’s get the Raif/Hope/ Sami thing resolved so they can move on. When did Kerry get so hateful? And Eli should apologize to his Mother since he is going to lie to his child and for much lamer reasons than she did.** Where the fuck is Adrienne?** Nice call back as Stefan was reading the Kimberly Brady Donovan book about split personalities.
*****R.I.P. Dennis Edwards, Louis Zorich, Christopher Cattrall, John Mahoney, victims of the Taiwan quake, victims of the Florida shooting,  Reg E. Cathey, Johann Johannsson,  Asma Jahangir, Sue Barton, Levone Bennett Jr., Jim Downing, Nanette Fabray, the victims in Syria, Sridevi, Emma Chambers and Benjamin Melniker.

From backyard baptism to potluck Bible study, religion starts at home
By Kristin E. Holmes, Philadelphia Inquirer, Sept. 5, 2017
Rachel Gimber hadn’t been a churchgoer in years, but the small congregation she discovered nine months ago in West Chester instantly felt like home.
The Meeting House church had no imposing stone façade, no vaulted ceiling or stained glass windows, no sign of denomination. It was simply what its name conveyed: a group of believers meeting in a house.
“Sometimes when I walked into a church and didn’t know anybody or feel a connection, I almost felt judged,” said Gimber, 27, a financial portfolio manager from Collegeville, who grew up Catholic. “But in Meeting House, it’s a family setting, and they met me where I was.”
So two weeks ago, she stepped into an inflatable swimming pool in its backyard, sat down in two feet of water, and was baptized during a Friday evening cookout.
The Meeting House is one of dozens of home-based churches in the Philadelphia area that have been opening their screen doors to Christians who want to shed the trappings, if not also some of the underpinnings, of institutional religion. They come to re-imagine worship, to practice their faith unencumbered by traditional liturgies--not to mention the burdens of building maintenance, budgets, and programming.
Usually unaffiliated, house churches--also called “organic” or “simple” churches--might be as minimal as three people sitting at a kitchen table or as large as 50 overflowing a living room. Hierarchies tend to be frowned upon, even though ordained ministers, like Don Graves of East Oak Lane, can be found among the faithful. True to the house church spirit, he eschews the title “reverend.” A “smaller, more intimate and participatory” church, he said, offers a different way of carrying out the resurrected Jesus’ Great Commission to his disciples to win souls.
House church services can be on Sunday mornings or on weekdays after work. Rituals are reshaped to fit the inclinations of the group or tossed aside altogether; in place of sermons are discussions. Music might be a ditty composed on the spot by a congregant.
“The most grassroots groups can really just make it up,” said Nancy Ammerman, a professor of sociology of religion and an associate dean at Boston University. “They draw on patterns of study, preaching, liturgy that they already know, but won’t be constrained by any particular denomination or authority that tells them that you can do this or you can’t. That’s one of the things people like. They have freedom to innovate.”
Because most house churches operate under the radar, their numbers are difficult to estimate. At least 30 appear in online listings in Southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey. In a 2009 national study by religion researcher George Barna, as many as 6 percent of respondents said they were part of a “group of believers that meets regularly in a home or place other than a church building.” At the time, Barna estimated their ranks countrywide at between six and 12 million, and predicted substantial growth.
Even mainline denominations are examining the model as they grapple with declining memberships. The Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church recently accepted two house churches as affiliates to explore new ways of worship that might broaden the base.
Internationally, in nations such as China, where atheism was once official, underground house churches have long sheltered millions of Christian believers. But the practice dates back much farther, to early Christianity. In the New Testament, missionaries Aquila and Priscilla, friends of the apostle Paul, opened their home in Ephesus to followers of the Corinthian church.
Members of Hunting Park House Church are so committed to reclaiming the simplicity of the early church that they have turned away from Facebook and other social media to reach potential converts, maintaining that Christians should do that in person. Congregants have even disagreed about distributing a flier. Some said “we are the flier,” said the Rev. Andres Fajardo.
In West Chester, the Meeting House congregation, a community of about 50, is going full-bore at the home of Fred Balliet, co-pastor with founder Robb Hollman. Monday is Bible study, Tuesday is youth group, Friday is a community dinner (when Gimber was baptized), Sunday is church.
“It’s life together every day,” Balliet said. “Some might not come to one, but to others. People mix and match.”
At the South Jersey home of Roseann Metrinko in Winslow Township, the Saturday meeting of Seventh-day Adventists was originally a replica of the traditional church service, but evolved into a stripped-down Bible study and dinner.
“We thought, why are we going through the motion of doing all this when what we really wanted was a more relaxed, more interactive atmosphere?” said Metrinko, who had served as the women’s ministry leader of the Seventh-day Adventists’ New Jersey conference.
The congregation is part of the Simple Church at Home Network, a lay-led aggregation of about 250 house churches in 23 countries, most in the U.S. The congregations average 12 members. Founded nine years ago by Milton Adams, a Linden, Tenn., teacher who holds a doctorate of ministry, the network offers Adventists a place to worship where they “won’t get corrected, reprimanded or set straight by someone who sees themselves as an authority figure,” he said.
Ron Pizzo of West Norriton and Bill Posey of Warminster started churches in their homes after becoming disillusioned with their former non-denominational congregations. Both shopped for new churches but wound up holding services in their living rooms.
“We were looking for the perfect church. Of course, there isn’t any,” said Posey, who hosts a group of five to 10 at his home on Sunday evenings--although if that’s inconvenient for most, just about any other evening will do.
Because they’re small, house churches are more vulnerable to the destructive effects of change, whether the loss of members or conflict among them.
At her King of Prussia house church, Roseann Howell has watched families relocate, return to the traditional church or just leave. One house church she belonged to disbanded.
Indeed, the ties that bind can fray easily, Ammerman said. She puts the average life of a house church at about five years.
As outliers of the traditional church, house congregations often operate with little or no oversight. They can be magnets for perpetually dissatisfied people who flit from church to church, as well as ambitious leaders aching for power, no matter how small the platform, said David Anderson, creator of the House Church Network website, which has kept a listing of house churches for 20 years.
“Anything you can find wrong with the organized church,” he said, “you can find it in house churches.”
Simple Church at Home provides leadership training and requires house congregations to report weekly to counselors. Donations are deposited into individual church accounts and used only for local charitable causes, Adams said.
New affiliates of the local synod, the two Lutheran congregations grew out of the closing 10 years ago of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chalfont. Members began meeting in their homes to pray about their next move, and “we kept on meeting,” said Bob Fisher, an assistant to Bishop Claire Burkat of the synod. The groups call themselves Kairos, a Greek word for “opportune moment.” To Christians, it refers to the appointed time to fulfill God’s purpose, Fisher said.
At a combined meeting in early August in Souderton, 15 members discussed the parable of the sower and took part in an “Agape meal,” or love feast. Each broke a piece from a round loaf of bread, dipped it into a bowl of grape juice, ate it, and so it went around the living room circle--a ritual affirming the presence of God.
“Having been in a church that struggled and closed because of [expenses], the idea is to be sustainable,” Fisher said. “We want to focus our energy and passion on being the church out in the world, rather than simply supporting the superstructure of a building.”

Your Monday Morning Roundup
Joel Embiid. Drafted then injured. Ben Simmons. Drafted then injured. Markelle Fultz. Drafted then ???
Sixers head coach Brett Brown made some news over the weekend with the announcement that top overall pick Markelle Fultz will not start to begin the season. This move is leading some to wonder if Fultz is hurt than the team is leading on.
There was more injury news for Embiid over the weekend as well. He had his left knee rehabbed and he didn’t practice, but is expected to play in the season opener on Wednesday.
From injuries to roster moves, the Sixers waived Kris Humphries and Emeka Okafor, among other players.
The team opens the regular season on Wednesday night against the Wizards.
It was an Eagles-free weekend, let’s see what went down.
But first, a word from our sponsors:

Amazon. If you shop Amazon, support your favorite website and use our link.
  The Roundup:
Sticking with the Sixers, one of the team’s young guns Justin Anderson did a great Q&A with Hoops Hype. He is a big fan of Embiid:
To be completely honest, he’s very shy. He’s not a very loud, obnoxious person. He’s very confident in his ability as a player and he’s very confident in who he is as a person, but he can be shy. He prides himself on being real, though, which I believe he is. I hang out with him a lot away from the court, either at his house or my house.
The biggest thing that I admire about him is his mentality. His mentality and mindset are just different from most players. I believe he has a chance to be the best player to play this game because of his mentality. His mindset is, “If I want to do something, I’m going to go do it.” You see it on the court. Guys are fouling him or struggling to guard him and he’ll yell, “He can’t guard me! Get him out of the game! He’s going to foul out!” He does everything in his power to put our team in a position to win.
Also, Embiid wrecked Hasan Whiteside on Twitter.
Now to the NFL, where it turned out to be a very good day for the Eagles, who were at home watching.
Perhaps the best news for the Birds came from outside the division as the Packers lost to the Vikings and lost Aaron Rodgers to a broken collarbone. Additionally, the Falcons fell to the Dolphins and the Steelers dealt the Chiefs their first loss of the season. With all that unfolding, the Eagles are in a PRETTY good spot:
Eagles

They are tied for the best record in all of the NFL with the Chiefs and are getting recognition from the national media, too. Especially, Carson Wentz:
The Eagles are on
Could their QB be this year's MVP??@marshallfaulk thinks so.

The Birds started to garner that attention after the big win over the Cardinals earlier this month. Malcom Jenkins was mic’d up for that one and he showcased why he is a leader of this team:
"Y'all wanna be good? Or y'all wanna be GREAT?"@MalcolmJenkins was mic'd up for the @Eagles BIG win in Week 5. #SoundFX http://pic.twitter.com/3rSWIcnl1A

Eagles host the Redskins on Monday Night Football one week from today.
The Jets nearly beat the Patriots but got HOSED:

— FOX Sports (@FOXSports) October 15, 2017
That didn’t stop Tom Brady from cursing loudly though.
Meanwhile, the Jaguars fell to the Rams and Dick Stockton just read what’s on the prompter:
I’m Ron Burgundy??? http://pic.twitter.com/FErIPu1unk
— Brendan Tobin (@Brendan_Tobin) October 15, 2017
Off the field, Colin Kaepernick filed a collusion grievance against the NFL teams/owners, including the Eagles.
Also, Roger Goodell’s wife has burner accounts to defend her beleagured husband:
“It was a REALLY silly thing to do and done out of frustration—and love.” Mrs. Goodell said Thursday afternoon in a written statement. “As a former media member, I’m always bothered when the coverage doesn’t provide a complete and accurate picture of a story. I’m also a wife and a mom. I have always passionately defended the hard-working guy I love—and I always will. I just may not use Twitter to do so in the future!”
Lastly, Hue Jackson may not have drafted DeShaun Watson, but apparently he texted him:
“I don’t know anything about that,” Jackson said after the Browns fell to 0-6 with a 33-17 loss to Watson and the Texans. “That’s so long ago. I met with that crew, and nobody asked me that. I met with the same crew, and that question never came up to me. I did text Deshaun before [the draft]. I was in conversation with him. But I don’t recall draft day at all.
On the ice, the Flyers offense rolled over the Capitals on Saturday night. Anthony SanFilippo gave his 10 takeaways from the 8-2 win. Here’s his first:
The atmosphere around the Wells Fargo Center was unlike any other regular season game I’ve seen in the 17 years I’ve been covering hockey games.
There was a buzz in the air from the minute you pulled into the parking lot. It reached a crescendo sometime in the third period where we were wondering if the Flyers might reach double-digits in goals.
And it wasn’t just the fans – it was the players too.
When I walked in the building, Claude Giroux, Jake Voracek and Wayne Simmonds were playing an intense game of horse in the bowels of the center. Giroux created one trick shot on the fly, passing it to himself off of a heating duct, and then tucking the ball under one leg in mid-air, handing it off from right hand to left before laying it in.
Not to be outdone, Voracek made an identical shot. The trio of veterans were on point from then, it had to translate to the ice, right?
Steph Curry has a foot fetish.
In College football, not a single game featured a match-up of two ranked teams, however, several top ranked teams tumbled, including Clemson, Washington, and Navy. With the losses, Penn State, who was on a bye, moved up the second in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll. it is the highest ranking for PSU since 1999. The Nittany Lions host #19 Michigan on Saturday night.
Temple lost to UCONN.
Former Temple coach Matt Rhule, still is searching for his first win at Baylor.
UCLA is mediocre this season and may be getting a new coach soon, according the new Public Enemy #1 here in Philly:
Don't be surprised if you hear a Chip Kelly and UCLA rumor soon. #littlebirdie
— Colin Cowherd (@ColinCowherd) October 15, 2017
The MLB playoffs are in the championship series now…the Dodgers are leading the Cubs 2-0 in the NLCS after a three-run homer in the 9th last night and the Astros are up 2-0 on the Yankees after winning 2-1 for the second straight time to start the series.
The ALCS continues Monday night at 8 p.m. while the NLCS resumes on Tuesday.
In non-sports news…
At least 276 are dead in a devastating explosion in Somalia.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences expelled Harvey Weinstein.

                                                                            AUGUST  2017
*****Bill Murray and the rest of the Murray brothers are opening a Caddyshack themed restaurant in the Plaza hotel in Rosemont, Il. They opened a similar eatery in Florida in 2001.** Bill Murray also got the ESPY for Chicago cubs best moment. Michelle Obama honored Eunice Kennedy Shriver at the ESPY’s for the Special Olympics.
***** Tarantino is doing the next Manson movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*****Dec. 2017: Psych the movie. YES!
*****Some republicans are working on introducing a bill that would force future Presidents to release their tax returns.
*****Alice Cooper discovered he had a Warhol, “little electric chair”, 40 years after the fact. The find was rolled up in a tube in a storage locker.
*****It is so funny how Kelly Ripa looks so happy and bright when Anderson Cooper is on but not so much when that boar Seacrest is next to her.
*****Days alert: Sami will be back in the fall and look for her and Nicole to clash. We will see more of Xander but Dario is headed out of our lives. Chad and Gabby are over and look for Chad and Abigail to reunite if she survives. Is Ben Weston back in town or just in Abby’s mind? Did she see him the night of Deimos’ murder? Could she be the killer and could Chad be protecting her as she has been protecting him?
*****Another victim of John Wayne Gacy was recently identified as Jimmy Haakenson, a Minnesota runaway.
*****The Rockford Peaches are being celebrated .  July 27 brought hundreds of girls and women to Beyer stadium in Rockford to play. Some of the 40’s and 50’s peaches were in the movie “A League of Their own” ,that sparked a resurgence in interest. Also in the works just across the street is The International Women’s Baseball Center.
***** Did you ever notice how often Kroger products are used on television? I am forever seeing their store brand in scenes across many networks in many scenes. I think it is because they have a very generic look.
*****It sounds like the Richard Pryor story will come to the screen. It should be exciting with Tracy Morgan as Redd Foxx and Oprah as Pryor’s Grandmother.
*****CBS and the BBC are joining forces in the tradition of Edward R. Morrow who used to report from the BBC.
*****Two topless women jumped on stage in Germany to protest Woody Allen as he played clarinet. The women read a letter Dylan Farrow once wrote to her father that alleged sexual abuse. Security guards took them away amid boo’s from the audience. Allen called the incident “stupid.”
*****Steve Martin and the Steep canyon rangers have a new album, ‘The long awaited album.’
*****Bill Brady is the newest state senator in Illinois. Is there finally an end to the budget crisis in the state? Several states have these issues but Illinois has been at the bottom of the heap, rated junk. Now that a few republicans have crossed the line to come to an agreement, can they start to pay all the bills they owe?**Chris Christie has helped to lead New Jersey to the bottom as well.  They closed parks and beaches due to financial constraints. He used a beach that had been closed to the rest of the state for his 4th of July celebrating. He basically told the people that if they were Mayor, they could use the mayoral house to do it themselves but they aren’t.  The only good it seemed to do was the fallout helped him reach a decision about the budget so things could reopen.
*****Jawara Mcintosh, son of Peter Tosh, is in a coma after being beaten in a New Jersey jail.
*****OMG: Does everyone know that the NRA lobbied to be sure that there is no central electronic database for gun records? When police are requesting registration on a gun after an incident, the centers 50 employees must search thru microfilm or boxes of paperwork. How do they sneak this stuff in without alarms being raised? We must pay attention!! Let’s change this for the cats at the ATF tracing center.
*****Germany has legalized same sex marriage.
*****VP Pence tells us: “Under President Trump, American security will be as dominant in the heavens as we are here on earth.”
*****Hobby lobby owners are putting together a Bible museum. They were caught smuggling black market antiquities out of ISIS territory. They claim stupidity but were warned before they even started this venture. Luckily, the artifacts were intercepted by the government and returned.
*****Hooray for Ronan Farrow and others who are working hard on the voter ID mess. Conservative politicians need to quit targeting minorities and the poor and just let us all vote.  Let’s just keep things fair, is that too much to ask?
*****I am intrigued by the ads for the new show Guest Book on TBS.** People of Earth is back!!
*****The Government ethics director, Walter Shaub resigned. He claims there were many conflicts of interest and the White house fought him every step of the way. He has seen nothing like it in any republican or democrat administration.
*****HBO’s tour de Pharmacy was funny and had so many famous faces. The faux doc included references from Arby’s to a small misshapen penis and was narrated by Jon Hamm. The cast includes Mike Tyson, Will Forte, Orlando Bloom, Kevin Bacon, Maya Rudolph,  Jeff Goldblum, Danny Glover, Freddie Highmore and Julia Ormand. I was a bit uncomfortable at the Lance Armstrong stuff. He was worth a chuckle at first but it got old. I admit that he is not my favorite person. I guess you gotta take the $ where you can.
*****The History channel ran a doc about Amelia Earhart. The claim was that there was a pic that may be Earhart and her navigator Fred Noonan after she disappeared.  This leads one to believe that they were taken prisoner by the Japanese. A history blogger disagrees , saying that the photo is from a book published 2 years before they were lost in 1937.
*****The impeachment marches seemed to get zero coverage. There were a few small mentions a couple of days later but for the most part they were ignored.  I am so glad I was there. The people are speaking. The media needs to stop bending over backwards not to poke the bear and let us speak! I am glad the media is making us aware of all the lies going on in the White house. It would be refreshing to get away from the talking heads once in a while and take it to the grass roots resistance growing. Hasn’t this been part of the problem all along? Isn’t this what everyone bitched about right after the election?
*****Volvo will go totally electric or hybrid starting 2019.
***** The Emmy noms have been announced with some surprises. The biggest travesty is no nod for Michael Mckean for Better Call Saul. Some nominations were well deserved  though. Lead actress drama should go to Keri Russell but Elisabeth Moss and Viola Davis are awesome as well. Some of my other faves were Bob Odenkirk and Matthew Rhys for actor in a drama. Big little lies brought 2 lead actress picks for Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon but Feud has to win for either Jessica Lange or Susan Sarandon or both. Feud is loaded with noms for costumes, director, music, hair, and supporting actor for Stanley Tucci, Alfred Molina, Judy Davis and Jackie Hoffman. Rupaul is the only thing going in the reality category. In comedy there is Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as well Julia Louis Dreyfuss and a lot more for Veep and Atlanta. Jeffrey Tambor, Zack Galifinakis and Donald Glover are my tops for comedy acting.  The best in drama are Better Call Saul, Stranger Things , The Americans and The Handmaids tale. Variety is a tough category with Full Frontal, Kimmel, the Late Show, the late late show, Last week tonight and Real Time. The immortal life of Henrietta Lacks and Dolly’s Christmas movie are both up for a vote. Voice animation has Kevin Kline, Kristen Schaal and Nancy Cartwright. Animated shows include Archer, Bob’s Burgers and the Simpson’s. Bill Nye saves the world, Drunk History , SNL and Portlandia are up for production design. American Horror Story: Roanoke only got a couple for hairstyling, sound editing and prostetic makeup. Supporting acting comedy is hard to pick with Louie Anderson, Tony Hale and Alec Baldwin for the men and Vanessa Bayer, Leslie Jones, Kate Mckinnon, Judith Light, Kathryn Hahn and Anna Chlumsky for the women. What? Another travesty, o love for Keenan Thompson?  Guest actor include Carrie Fisher, Melissa McCarthy, Wanda Sykes, Tom Hanks, Dave Chappelle and Matthew Rhys.I am all the way with Alison Wright for guest acting in drama. The host category has Snoop and Martha, Alec Baldwin , Rupaul and W. Kamau Bell. Variety specials and sketch shows are filled with genius like Louis C.K., Sarah Silverman, Colbert’s election night and Documentary now! In the documentary category there is The Beatles :8 days a week from Ron Howard. Informational specials Inside the actors studio, Leah Remini: scientology and star talk: Neil deGrasse Tyson are nominated. Good luck to all!
*****Ken Burns is bringing us The Vietnam war in September which took 10 years to make.
*****Kid Rock has announced a senate run.
*****Jimmy Carter is out of the hospital after he suffered from dehydration. He was working on a house in Canada for habitat for humanity.
*****Word is that the ratings for the new Kelly and Ryan show are not too good, the same with Megyn Kelly’s new NBC show.
*****Sturgis is back on August 4 in South Dakota.
*****HBO is bringing us a doc on Steven Spielberg that is narrated by the man himself. Susan Lacy is director and producer of the project.
*****If you haven’t seen the funny or die with Al Franken and David Letterman, you must check it out. Look up years of living dangerously: Boiling the frog.
*****Fox likes to pretend that scary clown is more of a leader than he really is. They kept running a scroll across the bottom as the G-20 was going on that ‘Trump presses Putin on meddling.’ Did he really? We will never really know and if he did, it was just for show because he is adamant that he just wants to move on.  Putin tells us that Trump accepted his version of events. This is really no surprise since scary clown attacked his own intelligence community on foreign soil and said that he was honored to meet Putin. The man is SO Putin’s bitch.**After Trump tweeted that he and the Russian President had talked of a joint impenetrable cyber security unit, he got much backlash. John McCain and Kyle Griffin both stated that Putin should be good at that since he is the one doing the hacking. The President talked a lot about faith in his speech in Poland. As he gets older does he think more about these things as age can make you do or does he shield himself with it? **Ivanka sat in for her Father at some of the summit.  It did not seem that the other leaders were too big on seeing him anyway. I don’t think Trump has the confidence to talk with the big timers anyway. He seems to be more of a one on one guy which was what he was doing.**Of course we then learn that there was a second private meeting and who knows what that was about.**On June 25th the House backed a new package of sanctions against Moscow, North Korea and Iran. The bill prohibits scary clown from waiving penalties.** Russia has already retaliated by seizing American diplomatic properties and ordering the U.S. embassy to reduce staff.
*****Don Jr. has now been caught in multiple lies about the Russian lawyer they met with on trying to find dirt on Hillary. How many times will this family and their team lie to us?? There were more people there than they originally told us including a lobbyist that was ex counter intelligence. They claim that candidate Trump had no idea of the situation. Do they think we will believe that? We are in fact now hearing that he orchestrated his son’s response. Is Trump that stupid or does he just play an idiot on tv? Will he sacrifice his own son? Why is it that Manafort and Kushner are never far away from the trouble?  The team tries to act like this Russian mess is something anyone would do. They are so far removed from honor and decency that they do not seem to know any better. They have no idea how real people operate.** We have soldiers on the Russian border that are protecting people from Russia and these yahoos think it is perfectly fine to work with them to fuck up our democracy.** BTW, The President can’t pardon someone on state or foreign charges but he can pardon on federal charges . Could all of the liars get away it? ** How long will the “we are stupid and know what we do” excuse work for these Trump voters? Who can still support a family that just keeps lining their own pockets with their clout? ** The Don Jr. legal fees are being paid in part by the 2020 Trump campaign funds. The President wants the RNC to pay the rest. ** Kushner has now been speaking casually with the feds. He came out to make a small speech after the first day that told us how innocent he was. Scary clown and his fam seem to love the country waiting for their every move.
*****Saw this on a site and wanted to share:
Parable of the talents by, Octavia E. Butler
Choose your leaders with wisdom and forethought
To be led by a coward is to be controlled by all that the coward fears.
To be led by a fool is to be led by the opportunists who control the fool.
To be led by a thief is to offer up your most precious treasures to be stolen.
To be led by a liar is to ask to be told lies.
To be led by a tyrant is to sell yourself and those you love into slavery.
*****Teen birth rates have declined 9%, the lowest ever.** About 3 ,000 women from other states come to Illinois each year for abortions.

*****I hear that the packet received when someone takes the oath to become an American citizen still has a letter from Obama.  I guess the new administration hasn’t had time to think about welcoming new Americans.

*****Employees in a Ford plant in Ohio found a mil in weed from cars that were assembled in Mexico.
*****A show on the History channel is trying to answer the questions that have come up in recent years about H.H. Holmes being Jack the Ripper. The grandson of America’s first serial killer is leading the charge and he seems a bit disappointed whenever they hit a wall. I guess if you already know that your Grandfather was a killer, what’s a few more? The program drags everything out as these History channel shows tend to do as they repeat themselves over and over. Sometimes when they get some info, I wonder why they only follow part of it. For instance, they tested the DNA which MIGHT have belonged to a victim. The DNA did not match the grandson but did they put their findings in a database to see if there is some familial match elsewhere? They could possibly find out this way if the scarf was indeed at the crime or if the DNA belonged to later handlers of the scarf.
*****Joel Clement, former director of the office of policy analysis and the U.S. interior has been moved to the advisory office of natural resources revenue.  He is one of fifty who this administration moved on June 15. He is a scientist who helps endangered Alaskan communities. Joel speaks out publically about climate change and believes this is an open and deliberate effort to silence scientists and eliminate employees that disagree with them. He is now officially a whistle blower.** It seems to me that having Trump as President is like having a really shitty Father.  The family just has to go out and find their own way and we must keep trying to get him out. Until then, the Governors, the Mayors and the rest of us have to figure out our own ways to save the planet and help others in spite of him. We must counteract all the damage he is causing. Think of the children that will be scarred with all this chaos by these ‘children’ that are trying to run the country.
*****So, again there have been alleged shady police doings. Every time a cop plants evidence or does not turn on a bodycam we lose faith. Law enforcement has such a hard job and we want to believe they will be there for us.  They are supposed to be taking care of us and I am sure most officers are people we can look up to but these bad seeds must be made to pay.
*****It is so strange that John McCain is fighting for his life as we are tackling this whole health care mess. He has great health care and we all wish him well. Do he and his Republican cohorts want us to have the same? Why don’t we all deserve the same chance? A perfect example is right in front of them and they should all pay attention. I think most of them believe in God. Could this have been sent as an example?  The ACA has worked wonders, let’s fix what isn’t working and quit obsessing over repeal and replace. Many Democratic senators are trying to get to infrastructure and other bills. It is unbelievable that we pay these people and give them awesome insurance while they have been obsessed with this health care subject and losers in it for all these years. Who keeps voting them in??** Before they all get their long August vacations , our lawmakers voted to begin debate for repeal and replace. In the end all their votes failed and McCain cast the decisive ‘no.!’ We must not forget to thank Collins and Murkowski who were in there all the way.  If it somehow hurts their manhood to call something that may be a good thing, ’Obamacare,’  then call it the ACA. History will give Obama credit even if they don’t want to and I don’t think he will care what it is called now as long as it helps people.** Word is coming out that Republicans used tax payer funds to denigrate Obama’s health care bill.

*****Do you ever think about the fate of the many extras/actors that we’ve seen a thousand times in the opening credits of famous shows?  How about the nurses running in M*A*S*H or the people on the streets of Chicago on The Bob Newhart show? We see them again and again from the singing and dancing on The Drew Carey show to the photos on Law and Order. We do not know these people but they are a part of our life? Hats off to them!
*****American Horror Story : CULT will premiere on Sept. 5. Season 7 will add Billy Eichner, Billie Lourd and Lena Dunham along with regulars Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson, Mare Winningham and Frances Conroy. Twisty the clown is back in a story inspired by the 2016 election.  The first teaser was fab and a bit Pink Floyd: the Wallish and is set in Michigan.
*****Kevin Spacey will play Gore Vidal.
*****People have been talking a lot about the recent viral videos of a woman killing her sister and the boys who let a man drown while making fun of him. These things have been around forever with “entertainment” like Faces of Death and snuff films. Things have become more main stream with social media but one can’t help but think of the final Seinfeld episode. The prosecution of the Seinfeld four when they laughed at the fat man getting robbed was like seeing the future.
*****A lot of military personnel are claiming there is a lot of extra training going on. Is something big being planned as we argue about the other stuff in front of us? ** Scary clown tweeted to us all about how transgender military personnel have no business being there. He talked with his Generals but he did not say they agreed with him. He complained of the “tremendous” medical costs but studies show that 5 times as much is spent on Viagra.
*****OJ Simpson was moved to a more secure part of the prison after he learned he would be set free later this year. Rumors are spreading that he will tour with his former victim that spoke at his hearing.
*****Sean Spicer resigned after Anthony Scaramucci (who some call a cartoon Guido) was named communications director. Ivanka and Trump met with ‘the Mucc’ for an hour and a half and then Trump called him many time before this all came down. Sara Huckabee Sanders is the new press secretary. A friend said that if Melissa McCarthy took on Spicer on SNL then it makes sense that a man should do Sara. BTW, what was with Scaramucci giving Sara hair and makeup advice? WTF? Word is that Preibus fought it all the way but he is kissing ass all over the place now. The whole affair got us our first on air briefing in 22 days. I can’t help but wonder how Spicer feels to be a lil’ blip of a joke in history. **Scaramucci deleted many old tweets he had praising Hillary and supporting stronger gun laws as well as putting down Trump and climate deniers. He is also kissing his new Messiahs bottom all over the place. The new guy acts just like his boss with an expletive filled interview that puts down everyone around him.  I don’t feel a bit sorry for Priebus or Sessions, they knew what they were in for. These tactics make the loyal evangelicals look like the mob. They will sell their soul and put up with this crap to get rid of the transgender soldiers and Planned Parenthood. Trump seems to like an opportunist and is probably happy to have a new hate buddy.** This month in the circular firing squad, part of Trump’s legal team , Mark Corallo was out then Sr. asst. press secretary Michael Short was out, then Reince Preibus was out . General john Kelly is the new White House chief of staff after Preibus served the shortest term I history. Kelly was first offered the position in May.** As I post this, we have learned that Scaramucci is out.
*****Some Scary clown supporters are crowing about low gas prices and low unemployment numbers but who do they think set all that in motion. Some would argue that Presidents don’t often have much to do with gas prices. But I wish they would say what we all know , that Obama was the one who sorted out the last Republican fallout. ** And right wing pundits.. Could I ask you to please stop calling the middle of the country ‘Trump country?’ We are smarter and more diverse than you think.** BTW, heard a great line this week which is essentially the meaning of the word bully. “Trump acts like a weak man thinks a strong man should act.” I thought that hit the nail on the head.
*****They say Trump is looking into the pardon process and exactly what his limits might be in other areas as President. The conclusions of Ken Starr’s office about Presidential prosecution say, “It is proper, constitutional and legal for a federal grand jury to indict a sitting President for serious criminal acts that are not part of, and are contrary to the President’s official duties. In this country no one is above the law.” Noting the constitution’s speech or debate clause: “If the framers of our constitution wanted to create a special immunity for the President they would have written the relevant clause.”
*****Dhani Harrison will release a solo album on Oct. 6.
*****Mick Jagger turned 74 with the release of 2 new songs, Gotta get a grip and England lost. He needed to get out his own anxieties about the new world we are all living in.** Publisher John Blake claims he has an 80’s memoir written by Mick but that he is not allowed to publish it.
*****Sarah Silverman is bringing ‘I love you America’ to Hulu on Oct. 12.
*****Scary Clown 45 promised to bomb the shit out of ISIS. He has been doing a lot of air attacks which are not much talked about. In these attacks almost as many civilian deaths have occurred as in all of Obama’s time in office.** We are only 5% of the world population, quit acting like we own the fuckin’ universe!
*****American white supremacists are funding Europe’s white nationalists to try to take over border control themselves. A ship was chartered called the C-star by a group calling themselves Generation Identity. The group claims they want to deliver Muslim immigrants from the Mediterranean back to the Middle East. Beginning in France, the group has spread to Italy, the Netherlands, Austria and Germany. They say they want to defend Europe and Davis Duke has tweeted out a link to their fund raising page. They are using maritime law as an excuse to come to the “aid” of the immigrant boats.
