I think one of my favorite parts about watching Campaign 3 is when characters from the previous campaigns appear or get mentioned and the cast dunk on their own past characters

every now and then my brain will present me with a short scene or a few lines of dialogue, and I'll jot them down, and then I have to figure out who the characters are, so I end up running through a mental list of fandoms trying to find who fits

Its also a part of the racism of it all, but even on its own i think its also ignorance and stupidity that when White people protest against diversity in media, especially for historical settings, it's like people just assume that nobody before like 100 years ago traveled around, immigrated, and/or had kids with other ethnicities. They think everyone just stayed in their "own countries" (& the concept of countries & race within them is very modern & constantly changing but they ignore that too) & continents of origin the whole time & that immigration is something millions of people just randomly decided to do very recently.

But when it comes down to it, what they're actually mad about is that not everything is about them, because these same people will ALSO whine about games or films starring Native American characters set during a time period where there weren't that many White settlers yet set in.... North America, where Native Americans are.... Native to.

oh speaking of funny parker side quests. the juror episode. i was so relieved that it didn't go from "parker doesn't understand teamwork so we're sending her to government assigned team building" to "parker doesn't listen to us so we ignore her when she's trying to get our attention". they go from not believing her about the conspiracy to "welp turns out there is a crazy conspiracy behind every mundane interaction" in the space of two scenes. parker asked them for help and they came through for her, for a client who ends the episode with no idea who helped her. idk how to put this really but sometimes with headstrong lone-wolf type characters, the way their trauma-related tendency to go off on their own is treated often leaves a bad taste in my mouth, like it goes too far to "teach them a lesson" about not trusting people when they have very valid reasons for it, but this felt good. parker does kind of learn a lesson, about connecting with other people, but she also learned that she can rely on her team specifically because they proved it to her, not because the plot punished her in some way. you know? anyway i love her so much

there's no way to say this without sounding like i can't take criticism (i can, it's something i had to work on like everybody else), but some people are like. really bad at giving constructive criticism and i think if you're receiving crit from someone that's not a bad thing to keep in mind for ur own sanity lol

Are we ever going to get to a point in this sport where a driver can discuss mental health issues and not be ridiculed for it, or called weak?

Every time a driver has spoken out about their mental health issues, yes there has been some support but the majority of responses seem to be people taking the piss, it happened to JEV, Bottas, Rosberg, Ricciardo, among others.

If someone mentions an issue, they aren’t doing it to garner sympathy, they aren’t weak for bringing it up, and keeping this mentality is just going to prevent people, men and boys particularly, from speaking up about their issues
