What if your AU has gremlins?

(First of all sorry for me to answer this so late-)

The gremlins do in fact exist in this AU! They were tiny creatures who used to roam a lot in forests/open lands and build unique things that didn’t seem to be in this particular timeline (such as machinery, transport etc) about 100 years ago :0, and are said to be friendly when meeting them (as long as you don’t destroy their homes or land then it’s all good teehee-)

But things took a bad turn when dark forces/matter took over their homelands, destroyed their homes and killing off every gremlins that lived there, however most survived the invasion. But went into hiding and haven’t been seen since. (That's when theories spread around if the Gremlins were still out there or not, some say they went extinct instead)

They haven't been able to seen a gremlin in a while.

At least not in a toons eye.

If you’re referencing the Horizon drawings posted last night specifically, not only is that a video game crossover post and by no means serious, it is fictional. I have drawn Alfred—yes, my Alfred, who is POC—in the garb of an entirely fictitious tribal society set in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic future where these humans have made their own unique societies from the ashes of ours, but they hunt AI-driven machines and survive off the land otherwise. The Tenakth literally worship the wasting frames of fighter jets from the “Old Ones”. If you have an issue with the designs of Horizon’s factions, then that is something you can take to the devs, Guerrilla Games, if you are that concerned.

If you are referring to my Alfred in general, then I apologize that my headcanon and interpretation differ so highly from yours. I see both Matthew and Alfred as being either biracial or mixed ethnicity, which is why I draw them how I do. This, to me, creates a commentary on the effects of European colonialism on the New World. What their European caretakers did to mold them into the Eurocentric standards that they forcibly raised them in, so as to remove what people on the European stage at the time likely considered “savage” and “uncivilized”. To marvel at the success of the European powers. How they have either removed themselves from or have attempted to reconnect with their roots, if at all, because for some that is a choice that they make of their own accord. It also becomes interesting in the roles they have taken through history, whether optionally or by force, and how I see them acting in the modern day. I cannot understand what mental gymnastics it takes to see my interpretations of them and call it erasure, but I also realize I may speak from the wrong lens, and for that I then apologize again. I will try to be more sensitive in the future if this is the case.

Sure, I do not make much serious art nor posts, at least not like I used to. But that is how I choose to engage in this fandom as of lately. I am here for my own fun and not for your entertainment. If I make your experience lesser, then you do not have to engage with me. So please leave. If you do not agree, then please stymie your apparent urge to belittle someone else’s interpretation and enjoyment.

Trick or Treat🫶

Each member and what I think their favorite Halloween treats are:

Vessel -> Candy corn

He enjoys them for sure. Super basic but it's festive and tastes good! If he's feeling spicy, he'll have some butterscotch

II -> Mars bar or Twix

For no other reason other than mars are my favorite. He also eats the candies the other's didn't want because "wasting food is bad" (which is very husband / father figure behavior)

III -> Gummy worms/bears

He would ask the lads if they would still love him if he was a worm, and then pretend to be a giant by biting off the bear's heads

IV -> No preference

He likes them all. There's no such thing as bad candy for his palette and he's happy to receive whatever gets given to him

PROTECC Ok I can see Albert making a prince (waiting for Thea to return) jealous, clear a world over just from all his politeness/courtesy. If she ever felt comfortable in telling him or Yuu (depending on how dire she feels the situation becomes in trying to go home) He'll ramp up trying to help, but also take a moment to worry if anything he's done/given her was secretly insulting/harmful to unicorns TwT

I have no idea how Thea might react to being treated like a normal human (with some magic), but Yuu's def just gotta assume 'oh hey another person like me'. Of course, thinking about unicorns and dragons, I think Thea might get a bit of camaraderie, or at least empathy out of Yuu. They already have some existential feelings about Malleus, so They can relate to the melancholy of knowing people around you are going to die in droves simply by nature of Not Being Your Species.
