COMMISSION SHEET UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!

hello trusting followers and non-trusting followers and non-followers! so. commissions have been doing REALLY BAD!! like really bad. i've gotten 2 (two) singular commissions in 2023 and its almost the end of the year so thats. sad. i decided to revamp my commission sheet as my artstyle has changed a decent amount (actually its moreso my brushes and shading that changed but thats a part of an artstyle so ill just say artstyle) and now i am going to go HAM with spreading this shit. i will now be begging on my hands and knees pleading bc obviously whatever i was doing before did nothing so yeah ik tumblr is kinda bad for commissions for. whatever reason but PLEASEEEEEEEEE just reblog this. don't even like it i could not give two shits if you like this post just. reblog. because as long as you reblog theres a higher chance of it reaching more people and therefore have a higher chance of reaching people with money who can afford to give people money! but yeah im a bit desperate. im not like. dying of starvation or homeless or anything, but i shouldn't have to get to that level for people to even consider commissioning me. i do have like. 8 dollars to my name after buying a phone case though. that stinks.

Ah what a fun question!  Thank you @oenothera5!

My wildest ride….I think smut-wise, I have to pick Copy That, which is my Mara bangs all Luke’s clones fic…for obvious reasons.  Lots of sexual choreography required, and the only fic I ever wrote where I actually had to make like…a flowchart to make sure no one was getting left out and no orifice was being neglected and everyone had their happy ending muwahaha. Sixsomes are HARD!

But for the wildest ride I take the reader on, plot wise?  I would say Complementary Aesthetics (or the Aesthetics series as a whole).  This is a Thrawn/art forger fic, so the reader doesn’t know anything about the main character…leaving a lot to be uncovered throughout the story.  Part 1 is fairly straightforward, but in part 2 we sort of take a left turn and crazy shit happens that I don’t think many readers saw coming.  And well…the final installment is yet to be written but I imagine it will be a bit of a bumpy ride (with of course a trademark evilmouse happy ending)!

19 -Do you enjoy creating OCs or do you prefer to stick solely to canon characters?

There are pros and cons to writing OCs, but I would say in general I prefer sticking to “canon" characters (and there’s a reason I put that word in quotes) because that’s why I started writing fanfic, to get Luke laid (and Thrawn too, but that came later).

He's not happy to be an afterthought

For me, as a fanfic writer whose protagonists have (in my opinion) been screwed/warped/corrupted to varying degrees by nu!canon, I often find the most satisfying kinds of comments I receive are those kind readers saying that the characters’ thoughts and actions are true/in-character/capture the character perfectly, etc.  It’s SO gratifying!  Of COURSE as the writer, I believe MY versions are the best versions, so if they align with YOUR versions, we are living the dream!  I love it when someone says “you really understand Luke intimately” or “your Thrawn voice reads as HIM” because I'm reading and writing fanfic to have an authentic (somewhat?) experience with these characters that we love.  So the better I capture them, the more believable I can make my story within the confines of the pre-defined universe, and the more successful I feel.

It's just a boatload of warm fuzzies, honestly, to be told my characters are in-character, and I love everyone who ever told me this was the case!

All that being said, I am fond of writing OCs, although I’ve really only written a few for fanfic.  Seta, the art forger from my Aesthetics series, is my favorite, because as satisfying as it is to hear I’ve written a canon character well, it’s even MORE satisfying to hear that people love my OC!  To get feedback that she fits into the GFFA, or have people rave about her as if she were canon, it’s just swoon-inducing joy to me as her creator.  Raffa, the gallery curator in that fic, also had fans and I love everyone who cared about her too. 

READERS ARE THE BEST.

I guess Sienn also counts, as I basically invented all of her background and personality although she is found in Legends, and I’m very fond of her.  It’s great to take random characters, be they Imperial officers or Rebel pilots or something else, and imbue them with depth and personality. 

So anyway that is a long rambling answer but I guess the TL;DR is:
