Six (inconvenient) truths. This is the best I can do to explain the conflict in one (long) tweet.
1. Setting aside the reasons, Israel does exert heavy handed control that embitters the lives of millions of Palestinians.
2. The so-called “occupation” Palestinians want to undo is 1948. The goal is to create conditions where Israel -the independent Jewish state- will cease to exist in any borders. This is the actual objective and not just a theoretical grand design. Palestinians and many of their supporters invoke 1967 (and language of rights) for tactical reasons, not strategic ones. So #1 is largely necessary and is not causal of the conflict.
3. But #1 is significantly exacerbated by settlement projects outside of the major blocks.
4. #2 is significantly exacerbated by well-meaning people in the West who, largely owing to #3, fall for the language of rights, supporting Palestinian tactics in direct service of actually destructive aims. [I am speaking only of well-meaning people in the West, not ill-meaning people in the West and near East]
5. The only sane circumstance where Israel could relax its control (undoing #1) is for the Palestinians to strategically reorient and accept Israel’s existence (undoing #2), although Israel could do better on #3.
6. The more control Israel exerts (#1) the more Palestinians will redouble their efforts to destroy it (#2) and the more support this will have in the West (#4). And the more Palestinians seek to destroy Israel (#2), the more control Israel will exert (#1) and the more it will feed #3 on grounds that Palestinians will never accept Israel anyway.

God Perspective: Truth About Everything We Know
Unmasking Fabrications and Rediscovering Core Truths in the Annals of Time. The God Perspective exposes the lies behind Everything We Know.
From the dawn of time, humanity has sought to weave its story into the tapestry of existence. Yet, throughout the eons, threads of truth have been tangled with deception. Whispers of the divine being drowned out by the roar of mortal machinations.

having a minor, routine identity crisis about the difficulties of handling a social life while autistic because you always feel like you're programmed wrong for the situation? why not put on an audiobook about an AI struggling to pass as human despite having been programmed to run a ship, which is not at all the same thing as being a person--

imagine being cellmates with barton while you're both in arkham, and so you're kind of anticipating something kind of spooky happening at least once. but then you witness orderlies try to force this mass hiding underneath the blanket of the bed opposite you (that turns out to be barton) out of bed, and it honestly completely breaks that illusion. because apparently, he's done this before and only when he's severely depressed. so it's just kind of more hard to watch than anything because this essentially emphasizes that he is, in fact, a human being... not an animal despite most of the staff treating him like it. and the doctors at arkham either don't care about him having dysthymia (chronic depression) or aren't treating it enough because it can literally get so bad that he can't get out of bed

Oh no. I found something.

(Please note: I LOVE TECH no matter his height or how he looks. This is NOT a dig on anyone who has a head canon of a different height for him no matter what it is, whether he’s a tall king or a short king ((we need more short kings anyway, let’s be honest, they get a bad rap)).
I’ll say it again: I DO NOT hate Tech NOR do I hate anyone who thinks otherwise of his height. Just pointing this out, but I guess that gets people angry. I am JUST the messenger. This concept art comes directly from the animation team who NEED to make scaled models accurate for the animation process. Check the link provided to see the original picture.)

What if Metatron's comment about choosing death was referencing something more literal than metaphorical?
What if Crowley, before the Fall, had been given a choice: Lose (at least some of) your memories and become a demon or die.
And by die, we're talking "stricken from the Book of Life."
As in "never have existed."
So Crowley chose life--not the life he wanted, but at least A life, with the hope and the optimism that the universe would take care of him.
Except he doesn't remember being given a choice. Or why he made it.
