It is always so funny to see people being like “finally a day without kids YOHOO” and its about their kids like

Why are tou having kids if you hate them. The amount of people i met who moan about their life being horrible solely because they have to take care of their kid (and most of the time the kid is not even that difficult) is honestly mindblowing

Like i am at the weird spot where on one side my dad had some hard times and because of some of his episodes i was scared of him

On the other side he got much better and in general my parents are really good and genuenly love their kids despite them having us in university. Like genuenly. For my parents going out is fun but in their eyes it would be much better if their kids are with them. Like they brought us to every outing they could and it never hurt the party. They made parties in our home where we could just go to sleep when its late while theyre still having fun

Its not like you need to stop having fun when youre having kids, for god’s sake. Im not saying rvery parent shoud be like that, or that they were perfect, they absolutely weren’t. But they never made us feel like we werent supposed to be there with them, because they genuenly wanted us to be there even if we were sometimes insufferable

Your social life doesnt stop when you have a kid — its the opposite actually. They need to have experience going to all these parties having fun. “It takes a village” is not a joke

You wont magically start liking kids ehen you have your own, i promise. My mum sometimes jokes around that she only likes her kids but you should all just see how my parents melt when they see a little kid. Like if they werent deeply horribly poor when they had us, i would have at least one more sibling and it would have been great
