I remember this one day, when I was young, I was in my room reading and my mom came home with a book she found at a garage sale. It was a slightly used copy of The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle. I fell in love with that book and the movie (which they eventually just bought for me since it was the only one I ever wanted to rent during our weekly trip to the local version of blockbuster was called.) The Last Unicorn will always have a special place in my heart. It is THE BOOK that made me fall in love with reading. Today, I received this signed print from a close friend (I will be getting a frame for it ASAP!) and i just had to share. I can’t even remember how long ago I told her about my love for TLU, but she remembered and put so much thought and love in to her gift. If read many books over the course of my life. There are some though that have stuck with me. Some that helped inspire me to write, two of the books here are just that.

The Little Prince and A Wrinkle in Time were two mainstays on my childhood bookshelves. I read both more times than I can count.

I've been through at last 6 copies of a wrinkle in time due to it falling apart from being read so much.
