You never know someone's story just by looking at them. I have always loved the outdoors but didn't really start trekking till recently. One year ago I had a broken back. My backbone needed surgery, but its been a long year of self love, bounty full of support and therapy to be able to sit without pain, let alone trek those stairs.. This picture is my story. My story. ( I share to inspire)

I was very hesitate to share and I usually only share trivial things about myself on any form of social media . I am compelled to tell a bit of my story because while sharing my story, I’ve helped people through their own break ups / divorces. Plus apparently I’m an anomaly because I was able to pick myself up quickly. In order to serve the greater good ( my life purpose) I share my story ( some of it…. Very little lol) and perhaps you can relate, learn and find your courage .

I married in September to a man I knew for 4 years. He was my best friend. Prior to the marriage ,We prepared tirelessly to become life partners, with couple (premarital) therapy and getting to know each other . One month after we sealed the deal, He left. He stated that he’s not good enough for me. I’m too ambitious , I work hard and he couldn’t match up and I needed more ( I didn’t but I assume it was his excuse to bail) I broke down completely when he said he wanted a divorce. I mean I was a shell of myself and he became a person I didn’t know.

Family (who I told) , called me constantly. They were hurt too. They knew him well they loved him. I once thought I had no one to go to if I needed emotional support since I’m known to be the supporter/ fixer / Olivia pope ( inside joke with my family ) Through this experience I’ve learned That I have an army behind me.

I also learned …. (Conversation I had)

“You girl ! your cousin used to be my soul and my rock. I’m grateful for the pain he put me through. I didn’t even know my own strength until he left me crying on that floor. I’m so grateful. I feel bullet proof. I don’t regret marrying him either. The money spent has me livid but i had to go through this … It was an eye opener. Lastly im thankful that I don’t fear love and the next guy will be able to enjoy me at my best cause I feel better than I have in years.” It’s been only four months but I feel incredible. For women who are dealing with pain I suggest three main things

Prayer ( or something spiritual) Talk about it till you turn blue Surround Urself with support
