Friendly reminder that Starfire's solo comic from 2015-2016, which had mediocre to straight up bad writing, did not end because of poor sales, unlike so many other comics which actually ended because of how weak they sold. Starfire actually sold well and DC wanted more issues, but the writers had another project and did not have any ideas so they decided to walk off:

Starfire sells very well. Her most recent graphic novel from last year sold incredibly well, surpassed Batman comics in print and made it to the New York Times bestsellers list:

Starfire is a fan favourite that can very easily hold her own solo comic. It's the lack of interest in her character at DC that keeps her down, not the fans or the sells, which were never the issue.

The painting of the laundry room scene made me so emotional,, I bet ccDonnie would enjoy some art therapy. I want that turtle to be happy so bad

i think a lot about how mikey was specifically painting a sunrise,,, i was definitely trying to invoke falling skyward energy there (yes i think a lot about how in the beginning of CL when they're first cursed its notably sunset, and in falling skyward its sunrise and the chapter right after is named "the break of dawn" im sooo normal)

also the way it loops back around from in CL where it was specifically noted there was no graffiti there, and how donnie saw that as the most fitting place to die. there were no traces of his brothers, only him, this was the only room he frequented because he was the only one doing laundry back then. he was so convinced his own undoing was his fault. how now they'll do anything to say im here, even if they cant be. how they're willing to love from a distance if that will make him more comfortable, just like he spent years doing for them

also yessss he deserves some relaxing hobbies he doesn't feel like he has to excel at. his tech used to bring him comfort when he was upset and he definitely doesn't feel that way anymore after everything that happened .... let cc!donnie make some art!!!

i'm like 90% sure irving is reintegrated. i think that irving has been reintegrated for a while and that's what the goo is. mark's seeing gemma first now that he's reintegrated, the most important part of this to him, and irving's seeing his paint. also thanks to this episode we know that reintegration takes some time, at least for innies. we only saw the effects of reintegration from petey's point of view when he was in the outside world, so it's entirely possible that reintegration is different for innies and outies at the beginning.

also we don't know how outie irving knows what the testing floor elevator looks like. innie irving doesn't even know what it is so where did he get this info? my guess is that he failed the input survey (since we know that theres a perfect score for it), got sent down to the testing floor to get his memory fixed, and then when he reintegrated those memories came back with it.

Thinking about The Wretch , I suppose one way to kill her is to approach her, watch her swing (and the player dodge it by just walking to her instead of charging her), and to decide to simply just throw the knife at her.

Suffice to say, while it does end up hurting her, it doesn't go well.

Voice of The Hero: "I…I have an idea if you really want to commit to slaying her to save the world. I don't like it, but its an idea." Player: "What is it?" Voice of The Hero: "I-it's not a good idea I'll admit, but its one that could work….we throw the blade at them." Voice of The Paranoid: "What? why?" Voice of The Hero: "We can't approach her without getting hit from that chain and she can't do the same without risking a hit from us, but we do have a blade and we CAN throw it at them. If we're lucky enough, maybe it'll hit." Voice of The Paranoid: "What if we miss? What then?" Narrator: "I do want to remind you, that if you want to kill her, you will need the blade to do it." Voice of The Hero: "I know, but its an idea. We can't stay here circling around each other forever. We have to make a decision eventually." Voice of The Paranoid: "We could though. She's kept in our sights even though she has us in hers. She can't hurt us from here. It wouldn't be so bad to be honest jus-" Narrator: "But you can't. Eventually one of you will have to make a move. Your here to save the world remember? Not to spend forever just shuffling against the walls of a room while occasionally feinting a motion to attack the other." Voice of The Hero: "Your right for once, thought I hate to admit it. We have to do something eventually. So I'll leave it up to you, what do you want to do? Do you want to try my idea or do you want to try something else?" Voice of The Paranoid: "We have time at least for now to think of something." Options: -No, let's think of something else. If we lose the blade who knows what can happen. -Let's go with it. It's at least something. (Chosen) Player: "Let's go with it. It's at least something." Voice of The Hero: "Alright then. We just have to wait for the right opportunity to strike. From there it'll all fall into place." Voice of The Paranoid: "R-right." Narrator: "And eventually it comes, as this...dance between the two of you continues. You see your opportunity to strike, the motions from a feint from her and the recovery from it leaving her occupied just enough for you to strike. Not enough to stab her, but just enough to throw the blade. It's your best chance at trying to get her with it. Voice of The Hero: "Now!" Options: -Throw the blade (Chosen.) -Don't Player: Throw the blade. Narrator: And you do, with a smooth motion you take a breath and throw the knife at her. The force from your arms is smooth, the spin is good enough, and the blade lands neatly in her flesh. The knife slicing through her like a hot knife through butter. SFX: *Thunk* Narrator: "The Princess just looks at you stunned as both of her hands reach for the blade while she falls to her knees. The dance that the two of you had having finally come to a stop." Voice of The Hero: "Oh no." Voice of The Paranoid: "What?" Voice of The Hero: "We missed." Narrator: "You did. You hit her, but you still missed. The blade didn't hit her heart killing her, it hit her gut." Narrator: "She...she." Voice of The Paranoid: "What? What's going to happen? Is she going to attack us? Is she going to cast a spell? What's going to happen?" Narrator: *Deep Breath as they try to steel themselves* "Nothing, nothings going to happen except the obvious from here on out." Narrator: "She falls to the ground wordlessly, the blade still in her while blood, deep red blood that stains the floor and that crawls to your feet through the stone floor, steadily pours out. Tears follow from her eyes as the realization of what has happened hits her." Voice of The Hero: "Oh god." Narrator: "She's dying. Wordlessly she tries to say something, anything to you, but all she can do is just whimper and cry as the shock and the blood loss hits her all at once." The Wretch: *Whimper* Narrator: "What now?"

admittedly hummingbird michael is something i came up with at like 9 am yesterday but! i like birds. i like character design. i like fantasy shit. the temptation to make it a larger au, if just making the designs, is very real. i just havent had the time to rlly rotate it much in my head i do adhere to a sphinx michael distortion though, maybe not like- fully doing sphinx activities but you cant tell me hes not a little riddle creature. but all the riddles dont work or some shit, i dont know. thats something ive had in my mind for a while
