Incubi by mairithetree
First the succubi came (link here) now it's time for the incubi to shine 🏳‍🌈🥰💝✨I was inspired by some looks from drag queens to draw their outfits, especially for the red latex 💕(refs here and here, Shea Couleé and Cherry Valentine)
Have a good day folks 💗

This is entirely inspired by me remembering facts about my fav drag queens because I have mental illness, but what if Ed's mom doesn't know he's a pirate. That's not me making any assertion on how she'd feel about it, but what if they're still fucking writing letters to each other and they're still in touch and she's like 70 and she just thinks he's a normal sailor and he never managed to find a good time to bring up what he actually does for work and now its like "I've kept this on the dl for way too long I cant tell her now"
I think this would be especially funny considering that the pictures of Blackbeard in universe do look like Ed
Ed's mom: Darling this Blackbeard fellow looks quite a bit like you, but meaner.
Ed: Damn, mom, that's crazy.

Something I wonder when people say "do what you want as long as it doesn't harm anybody" is that it opens a question people don't always answer: how do we define harm?
I agree that people should be "allowed" (hate that phrasing) to live how they want/need to live, but when we attach "...as long as it doesn't hurt others!" I sometimes wonder how harm is defined. I think it's intuitive to define harm as physical, but we know that that isn't the only type of harm out there.
I'm not trying to be ornery or whatever, but I do want to encourage people to think critically about how they view and define harm. It's vital that we should have an idea about what harm is, lest we oppress people because we think they are "harming" others (e.g., "you can't transition because it stresses me out!")

oh dear god i have way too many feelings about gottmik dragrace. this is the first time i’ve felt fully represented by someone on tv.
i am a transmasc person with a femme/androgynous side. that femininity is not the femininity of a woman but the femininity of a queer man. think drag queen. i’m a drag artist to my core.
from the inside, that “femininity” doesn’t feel womanly. it feels very draggy and very queer. but to the world, because of the way my AFAB body looks, it just reads as “woman.” and that is the greatest source of my dysphoria.
society—even queer society—forces trans people so heavily into gender roles. trans women have to pass and perform “traditional” femininity to a T to be seen as valid, nonbinary people are seen as fake if they’re not the perfect 50/50 mix of masc and femme, and the same goes for trans men and masculinity. as soon as a trans person is too far out of the box they get labeled as “not a real man/woman/etc” or “just confused.”
i’m a dancer, a singer, a performer. i love makeup and fashion. i’m not a woman in any sense, but performing traditional masculinity just isn’t always authentic for me. i sometimes feel like i have to be someone i’m not to be seen as the gender i am. and drag is a a refuge from that. i didn’t know true gender euphoria until i saw myself in full drag the first time. i almost cried (but u know u gotta save the 2 hours of alien bitch makeup. i’ll cry after the show lmao)
being a GNC trans person is a trip. and gottmik gets it. when she talked about her gender journey on drag race i felt seen and represented for the first time.
let trans people be GNC. we don’t need to fit in your box to be real.

inspiration weekend
Thanks for the tag @strandnreyes! Always love a good excuse to make a mood board. I started working on a drag queen AU in which TK is the elusive and provocative Ilona Star (my sad attempt at trying to make a Lone Star pun) for a prompt fill so here's a bit of what's inspiring that. Hoping to have it up some time after the time loop au but before the sequel to the Parisian summer romance au <3

I love Dawn the drag queen because I love twinks that look like little butches
Tumblr media
Look at Dawn out of drag, and then look me in the eyes & tell me this funky little butch wouldn’t help you put up wallpaper in exchange for a pizza and a dirty-30 of Keystone Light while also talking at great length about her friend/roommate who buys her flowers and takes her on dates but it’s just as friends right?
Like I would think this is a butch who knows a lot about yarn. Or fiber arts in general. And she -definitely- drives a shitty robin’s egg blue 1997 Toyota Camry with a crimson hood and black driver’s side door that hasn’t had an oil change since the Trump administration and enough miles on the engine to have literally driven to the moon and back
This is a butch who talks to plants and absolutely has a grow-op in her guest room. This is a butch who grows weed because she’s super into plant genetics/husbandry. She spent $10k on lights and timers and hydroponics to grow 3 plants that send you into the stratosphere, and then never touched it again
This is a butch who had a Bowie era. But not like, -good- Bowie. Like whatever the fuck he was doin in the 90s. This is a butch who tried to convince herself she had a crush on Gerard Way, but it was really just gender envy
(And though I love the visual of the key earring, I know I’m An Old now because I can’t tell if it’s simply for aesthetics or if it’s some new flagging code I don’t know of. Either way, I think it’s neat)

I loooooove drag that really commits to the concept of being strange and unbelievable. I know next to nothing about drag but like. juno birch trixie mattel. when the point of the act is the extreme, the exaggeration. I love when drag looks like drag. on purpose. huge hair that looks like a wig. huge features and crazy colors and outfits that are fantastical and impractical. drag that just looks like a beautiful woman is impressive but feels boring to me. idk.
