I often think about how perfect The Spongebob Squarepants Movie's soundtrack is. Both the original songs made by various bands for the movie and the licensed tracks they got for it. Literally not a single skip on that thing. It's a vibe we'll never get from any movie ever again and that pains me on an emotional level.

I was going to send you the positivity ask but both seb/cosmo and slugbuglover beat me to it! So instead of that: what are some mundane or everyday things that have been making you happy lately?
alright!! that’s a good question. right now i’d say:
-tuesdays (sherlock & co which is my favourite podcast releases every tuesday so i have that to look forward to, + my d&d group meets tuesdays as well so instant serotonin there)
-baked a pretzel yesterday and it was the PERFECT temperature
-sometimes one of my cats will come up to me and headbutt my leg gently and go “mrrrt?” while making a :} face and it makes me very happy
-starting a new book
-sitting outside and looking at the trees
so there you have it :)

Hi where did you get your Yakou cosplay from?
I'm itching to cosplay him so bad 😭❤
I ordered my Yakou cosplay from the website EZCosplay (just search up 'Rain Code' and there's options for pretty much all the detectives and peacekeepers), same with my Zilch cosplay! I ordered both of my cosplays shortly after Rain Code released, so since it was super niche (and still is), EZCosplay offered the best solution to getting cosplays for my favs when no other seller would at the time (and it may still be very rare). When I ordered my two cosplays, the tailors working on my orders communicated with me through email and were very responsive! They asked for reference images, and I gave them what I had (which unfortunately wasn't much at the time since this was before I had access to HQ images of the art book character sheets). They're not 100% accurate of course, and I expected it since this was ordered so soon after the game's release, but they came out so well despite a few inaccuracies (and I don't even mind them). It was instant serotonin! I've worn both these cosplays multiple times now and I'm forever lovin' them. So if you're willin' to pay a pretty penny for some custom-tailored cosplays, EZCosplay is the way to go!

Spooning: A Cozy Way to Connect
Tumblr media
One of the most private and consoling acts that two people can share in the world of love gestures is spooning. The art of spooning will be examined in this article, along with its history, cultural relevance, and therapeutic effects. So let's immediately enjoy spooning's warm embrace.
What Is Spooning?
Tumblr media
Two people lie on their sides, facing the same direction, in the spooning position, which is a snuggling position. The bodies of the smaller person (also known as the "spoonee") and the larger person (also known as the "spooner") fit together like spoons in a drawer. It's a warm and personal way to show love and affection.
The Origins of Spooning
Intimate hugging has been referred to as "spooning" since the early 19th century. It probably comes from the thought that two persons in this situation seem like spoons tucked together in a drawer. The act of cuddling in this fashion as a way of emotional bonding has been around for ages, despite the fact that the phrase itself may be more contemporary.
The Cultural Significance
Tumblr media
A globally acknowledged show of affection, spooning has different cultural connotations in different places. It is regarded as a display of romantic love and closeness in many Western cultures. It is a representation of safety and nurturing in various Asian cultures' familial bonds. Whatever the cultural setting, spooning is a potent method to engage someone more deeply.
The Physical Benefits of Spooning
Better Sleep
Tumblr media
Better sleep is one of the spooning's instant advantages. In addition to releasing oxytocin, a hormone known for fostering bonding and relaxation when two individuals snuggle in this manner, it can also assist in regulating body temperature. This results in a better night's sleep.
Pain Relief
Physical pain can also be reduced by spooning. The intimate physical touch causes the body's natural analgesics, endorphins, to be released. This is especially helpful for people with chronic pain disorders because it can reduce discomfort.
Stress Reduction
Tumblr media
The release of serotonin and dopamine, two neurotransmitters linked to happiness and lowered stress, is triggered by physical touch, such as spooning. Effectively reducing stress and promoting general well-being are two benefits.
The Emotional Benefits of Spooning
Increased Intimacy
Tumblr media
Spooning encourages partners' emotional closeness. Couples' bonds are boosted by the emotional connection that is created while they are physically close to one another.
Enhanced Communication
When spooning, partners are close to one another, facilitating smooth discussion and the sharing of ideas and emotions. Better comprehension and conflict resolution may result from this open communication.
Trust and Security
It can feel safe and secure to be held in a spooning posture. It's a means of stating, both figuratively and literally, "I've got your back." This might be very consoling while feeling vulnerable.
Conclusion
The act of spooning serves as a reminder of the value of physical and emotional connection in a world full of busy schedules and distractions. It's a straightforward but effective gesture that increases intimacy and fosters love and trust between two individuals. The ageless act of spooning may therefore be the secret to a better and closer relationship the next time you find yourself in bed with your partner.
FAQs
Is spooning only for couples in romantic relationships?
No, amorous couples are not the only ones who spoon. Anyone who wishes to feel close and connected to another person can enjoy it, including friends, relatives, and other people.
Are there different spooning positions?
The traditional "spooning" position, as well as the "big spoon" and "little spoon" responsibilities, are among the different spooning positions. Each provides a distinct degree of coziness and intimacy.
Can spooning improve a strained relationship?
By encouraging open communication and emotional connection, spooning can enhance relationships. But it might not solve more serious problems that need for expert help.
Is spooning suitable for all body types?
People with various body shapes might enjoy spooning because it is adaptive. Finding a warm and comfortable position that suits both lovers is the key.
How can I incorporate spooning into my daily routine?
You can incorporate spooning into your daily routine by setting aside dedicated cuddle time with your partner. It's a simple yet effective way to strengthen your bond and enjoy each other's company.

TW:implied NSFW, can be taken there, mentions of drugs and high regarding as such//
The scientist softly hummed while raising a small glass tube filled with a light pink substance in it, she slowly walked over to him and cleared her throat so she'll have his attention on her.
"Now that I have your attention, I need you to drink this. "
She said while giving him the glass tube, and crossed her arms underneath her chest, and then she frowned softly when there was a hesitation.
"It is nothing poisonous, do not worry. It is a special condiment I made for the sake of an experiment. No, it is not aphrodisiac, it has... Far too unsavory affects for me to ever consider doing another experiment with it. You see, this condiment is made to enhance positive stimulation, basically making it so that you release more dopamine and serotonin hormones, giving you a relief similar to one of a drug high or orgasm, but it's not addictive, don't you worry. It also makes it so that you won't feel negative stimulation, basically cancelling it, you won't feel things such as pain. "
"...How curious. You know it will take more convincing than that to persuade me to consume such an odd concoction, yes? As much as you promise its positive effects, I'm uncertain if I wish to undergo such a drastic increase in those neurotransmitters' activity in front of someone I barely know. Since we're partners for this, why don't you drink it first? The entire prospect of being immune to pain sounds tempting, but even so... If I were to drink this instead, then you can't possibly complain about what will occur next. Who knows, I may need to wash it down with a far more preferable substance."
Eyeing the vial with cautious eyes, Ruki inspected the unnatural pink hue of it wondering just how detrimental an unhinged side of himself akin to his blood-drunkenness could be for the scientist before him. Despite her encouragement, he hesitated under her attentive gaze. Rather than taking a sip of this formula, the Vampire preferred to feel a sensation even better than sexual climax by indulging in the scientist's sweet blood, though whether she knew of his supernaturality remained a mystery.
"Fine. For the sake of your intellectual pursuits, I'll do it. However," his face neared hers, a smug smirk pulling at the corners of the Vampire's lips, "if I take this concoction, then what will you grant me in return? I do hope it is worth the time and effort."
Tumblr media
Reluctantly, he swallowed all of the pink formula in its entirety. Warmth swelled to its limit from the top of his cinerous strands to the nerves in his toes, suffusing Ruki with a sense of sultry allure and instability. He despised losing control no matter what, yet the drug consumed him like a fire engulfing a usually calm and tranquil forest. Glaring ever so slightly at the woman in front of him, Ruki clutched at his own chest and lowered the collar of his uniform, his tie suddenly too tight for his liking.
"You... What did you put in this?! It's like my body is on fire... Tch, I hope you're happy with these results, because I need you right this instant."
Throwing inhibition to the wind, Ruki lurched forward and seized the scientist in his harsh grasp, immediately baring his fangs into the crook of her shoulder. The blood gushing forth seared down his throat like lava erupting out of a volcano, rapture consuming him thanks to the odd liquid he consumed. The longer he bit into her flesh, the more he wished to taste every last drop. Blush dusted his pallor as the crimson treat satisfied his taste buds to a heightened degree, one he fought back to admit given his pride.
"Still, I cannot believe you would put me up to this... You may have not realized it yourself, but by giving me this substance you've placed yourself in great peril. Now then, face the consequences of your rash experiment."

i’m genuinely so happy that people care enough to send me messages, and thank you for being happy for me too 🥺🥺 but pls i don’t think i’m a big creator by any means 😭 before, when there wasn’t any fic release, i used to get asks once every couple of days or smth, and i noticed that my interactions and engagement started significantly increasing since like late september. i’m very grateful for this sudden shift and every time i get an ask it’s an instant serotonin boost :’) it’s still very surreal to me that we’ve curated somewhat of a little community here on jeonqkooks dot tumblr dot com and i will never ever take you guys for granted ❤️‍🩹

"Las Vegacy" and the Fun Factor of a Serious Format
So I like rolling dice. Like a lot. Any time you get that satisfying CLACKLACKLACKLACK of throwing a couple dice around, mmm. Pure serotonin. So when the Unfinity set was announced to have eternal legal cards, and that most likely meant more dice rolling to go hand-in-hand with the D&D sets, I was ecstatic to make the most dice-rolley deck I could. I'd be confined to legacy for constructed, and commander was a small card pool, but that meant I could try to make a deck that was... "Consistently random". I present to you, "Las Vegacy". (Vas Legacy?)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the brief run-down of the deck, the goal is primarily to land Barbarian Class, Pixie Guides, and/or a Wyll to "weight" the RNG I'm up against. With a couple of each out, Comet pretty much becomes a "Planeswalker storm" all in one card, and across infinite iterations of rolling, you can guarantee that at least one roll will contain no number greater than 4 or 5, so you deal enough damage to win. Or, Delina Wild Mage functions as a dice-Twin setup and you win with infinite attackers. Wyll can also just one-shot on occasion off of a Comet ability storm. The attractions and instants/sorceries are all meant to roll more dice or interact with your opponent's field.
Now, Unfinity's announcement of eternal-legal cards was ultimately a blunder. I think any good that came of attractions and dice rolling was overshadowed by how poorly implemented and damaging stickers were, and the overall reception that "silly" cards could make their ways into competitive formats. Even attractions got flak for being an extra deck that has to be kept with your constructed deck, and not falling into the sideboard. The un-set itself gained immediate notoriety, but at least has seemed to have a good release and a warm reception simply for being fun in the end of it all.
I'll preface this here with the fact that this is all my opinion, and as someone who has dabbled in something like 16 different TCGs, I can buy no means call myself an expert on any of them. But I honestly think that WotC at least TRYING to incorporate un-themes/un-playstyles into eternal formats is one of the most promising things they've done in the past couple years. In terms of innovation from WotC, I would say we haven't seen much recently. New keywords and new abilities don't necessarily change how the game functions, partly because MTG is so robust in terms of a TCG framework. It's really easy to slap in a new keyword that does something new... There's a reason that "keyword" is, well, a keyword.
But here now, we have a different way to interact with the game itself. You have random stickers that add a new layer of strategy to your plays. You have dice and an inherent amount of RNG you now have to contend with. You have a separate deck that you can fine-tune yourself to compliment what your deck is trying to do. These are legitimate outside forces that can now play into the game, and add some new complexity to a 30-year-old formula. Regardless of how well they function or not, I think it's important to recognize the effort put into the set, even if they were pretty tame on the eternal cards. Some might argue that it makes the game too complex, or that now you can't account for everything in a sideboard, but we're talking about a card game in which we can realistically create computer sequences with. There are far more complicated routes to play magic and much more nuance than what we would see added from a "fun" set.
And that brings me to my last point, because I think at it's core, the "fun" versus "serious" argument is just unfortunate. We've seen eternal formats scale so high in power and price that I feel they're seen as "the big leagues" and you're expected to play a powerhouse deck with a straight face and pursue a whole career in the game. The word "legacy" gets thrown around like it's only for -those- people. But in truth, for many people, their casual deck fits into legacy. Sure, Timmy's casual deck of one card from Antiquities, a couple cards from OG Ravnica, and some thrown in cards from Shadows Over Innistrad isn't going to take a game from Delver Murktide, but "legacy" is going to be what the majority of casual collectors play in some capacity. So, let the un-set mix it up a little. Let the "fun" set keep a little value in the game.
Or maybe I just want to see my opponent's reaction as they realize my thirty D6s still isn't enough dice for the game.

I Was Body Shamed
Tumblr media
Trigger Warning: Depression, Anxiety, Eating Disorders, and Body Shaming
I’ve been battling depression and anxiety for as long as I can remember and I was really afraid to admit it. I have not even told anyone from my family about it because most of them are pretty closed-minded when it comes to mental health…most likely because of the culture here in the Philippines and the way they were brought up.
The most triggering for me is when an aunt or a cousin will say: “Uy, tumaba ka yata” (Hey, you’ve gotten fat.) every time there is a family gathering. This comment always makes me want to just crawl under a rock and be in a fetal position for all eternity.
I once tried calling an aunt out when she told everyone that I’d gained weight but I ended up getting scolded and called disrespectful. From that moment on, I vowed to never come to a family event ever again because it made me feel so bad even if it was not my fault.
The constant body shaming made me feel so awful and put me into depression and anxiety. It made me question everything that I do to lose weight. Running, crash dieting, and just eating vegetables. I would never recommend crash dieting to anyone because it is not a healthy thing to do.
Even as I did all that I can to lose weight, nothing seemed to work and I was losing all hope. That’s when I started binge eating…especially when I get stressed from work. This binge eating became more evident when the global pandemic hit.
I gained weight and just got so depressed and always got anxiety attacks. The aunt that I was talking about would continue to point out my weight gain and would always say: “Order kasi ng Order sa Grab kaya tumataba”. (You always order food that’s why you’ve gotten fat.)
I remember just crying myself to sleep that night, wishing that tomorrow, I will be a different person in a different body but as morning came, I looked at my puffy eyes and saw someone I barely even recognized. It was just a shell of a person who is tired of getting called fat and being shamed for gaining weight.
That’s when I knew I had to do something. And I will share these things with you.
YOGA
I have been doing Yoga since 2016 (I stopped in 2020 for reasons I’ll keep to myself.) When I started doing it again last year, I felt like a beginner again. I could not even do a proper downward-facing dog but I pushed through it and day by day, I started regaining the control that I had once lost. It made me feel comfortable and just overall changed the way I viewed life once more.
It just improved my body, my mind, and my soul.
It doesn’t matter if you do Yoga for only twenty minutes a day because your body and mind will still thank you for taking the time for yourself.
WALKING
These days, I set myself to walk at least six thousand steps a day just to burn some calories. It also just helps me get through the da. I always do this every 4:40 AM because it just feels nice a cold outside.
MUSIC
I’ve always used music as a form of escape. It just helps me forget about my troubles and my problems. For an instant serotonin boost, I recommend you to listen to Kylie Minogue, her albums have always picked my mood up whenever I’m down. Her latest release. DISCO just made my life a breeze. She has infectiously poptastic songs that will make you get up and join her on the dancefloor.
Those are just three of the things that I did to feel better. I’m happy to say that I’ve lost a few pounds today. It’s not something to brag about but it is something to celebrate.
One last piece of advice: Please, try to ignore the noise that comes from other people. Be true to who you are to be true to what you believe in. Block the negativity and invite happiness into your life.
Here's a little serotonin booster:

hi! i hope you're doing fine :)
i know most people send serious asks, but i have a very silly problem that i've been struggling with for more than 2 months now and i'm just feeling very tired bc of it. like it's a daily struggle i feel like i'm going nuts
IT'S SILLY but look it's important to me. i don't want to talk about it with any of my friends or family bc i think they're just gonna to laugh at me. which would be understandable but no less hurtful. you can laugh too if you want to ig
ok anyways. i have an obsession with this piece of media. i'm not going to specify which one not bc it's immoral or awful or whatever i just don't want to say it. also it'd make things more embarrassing i think. it's a very lovely piece of media i promise
i was really looking forward to seeing the events of the story unfold and actually i think that may have been the only thing keeping me happy this year. that's bc i usually always have an obsession with a different thing every 2-3 years and they're usually the things that keep me motivated to keep going with my life and bring me instant serotonin. the problem is some months ago i got spoiled for some aspects of the end of it bc leaks are a big problem in the fandom :')
and it just ruined some of my excitement. the problem is i wish i could feel as happy as i did before it happened. i don't want to let go of something that made happy just bc of a spoiler but it feels like everything is just ruined ig. like the spoiler is out of context and i don't even understand the whole repercussions of it on the story but after lots of thinking I THINK that may be even worse bc if my brain keeps trying to make sense out of it but i obviously can't. and i also don't actually want to make sense out of it of course bc that would mean even more spoilers lmao my brain keeps catastrophizing it
i just wish i believed it when i try to tell myself that it's ok and that it's not a big deal bc ITS NOT (right?) but it feels like a big deal to me. and then i feel stupid bc this shouldn't be so hard. i know for a fact lots of people got spoiled and they seem fine so why am freaking out so much. i just feel so sad and no amount of reasoning with myself is helping
anyways you don't need to answer me if you don't want to! i just wanted to get it out of my chest with someone who doesn't know me. it feels safer that way
thanks for reading i'm going to cry a little now bc apparently yes my brain can make everything super hard for myself even tho i've been trying so hard to fix this for the past few months. i wish i could fix this
hello darling!
first of all, its not silly at all. if it matters to you, it matters to you.
secondly, youre allowed to be upset when something gets spoiled for you, its just human nature. sadly, there will always be people who enjoy ruining things for others, thats also just life. you arent stupid for feeling upset, your emotions are valid and i get it.
honestly, try to push past this. remember that this piece of media is something you love! and so its okay that its been spoiled, because you still love it.
and cry all you need! its a nice, healthy way to release some negative emotions.
lots of love to you doll, keep your head up 💛

Remember More, Forget Less: Unleashing the Memory-Boosting Benefits of Ginkgo Biloba
Tumblr media
Ginkgo biloba, a traditional Chinese medicine, has been used for millennia for its multiple health advantages, including its ability to improve memory. This article examines how Ginkgo Biloba helps memory and offers recommendations for taking it on a daily basis.
Ginkgo Biloba contains strong molecules called flavonoids and terpenoids, which function as antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents, shielding brain cells from injury. It also increases blood flow to the brain, ensuring that oxygen and critical nutrients are delivered in sufficient quantities for optimal cognitive function. The plant also increases the creation and release of essential neurotransmitters like as dopamine and serotonin, which influences memory and mood management.
Several studies have found that Ginkgo Biloba extract can dramatically improve cognitive performance in Alzheimer's patients and those experiencing age-related memory loss. The recommended daily dosage of standardized Ginkgo Biloba extract is 120-240 mg, however keep in mind that results may not be instant and may require weeks or months of persistent use.
When purchasing a Ginkgo Biloba supplement, it is critical to choose a recognized brand with a high concentration of terpenoids and flavonoids in the extract. Third-party verification of purity and efficacy is also advised. Incorporating Ginkgo Biloba into your daily routine needs dedication, setting reminders, and considering taking it with meals high in healthy fats to improve absorption.
